Really addictive! Great work!
Download the "Windows with Redist dependencies" version if you get the "MSVCP110.dll is missing" problem
The "briefly turning around" trick, works. I think this could have a slightly higher pace.
Great fun!
The RTS feeling is there, but I actually liked this a lot more than I usually like RTSes
Very pretty.
Great music, highly addictive. I'm coming back to play this more! Slightly reminiscent of an old game called ZUB, in a good way!
Great fun! I like the way the enemies are knocked back by the players shots.
Nice idea, but needs a lot more work. Go for it!
Nice puzzles, but unfortunately I couldn't stand the audio.
Very minimalistic and fun! Well done!
Uploaded a walkthrough video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEuo6il1Xi0&feature=youtu.be
Very artsy, In a good way :-)
I like the way the squares move. However, I have to agree with some of the other players, it's a bit difficult to see the difference your own square and the rest.
As Zed mentioned, there's a couple of "air walking" bugs, but really neat graphics style!
Terribly loud, a bit too much for me actually... But definitely fitting the theme and innovative!
Really smooth game experience. Though I would really have liked a HUD showing my current score. When one of the enemies aimed straight at me and took several shots to kill I was happily surprised, but a bit disapointed with only receiving 1 bonus-thingy for it. :-)
Very nice game and a very nice idea. Well done! You should focus on making more levels and maybe polish the graphics a bit (when LD48 voting is over of course, since I'm assuming the current graphics are based on the theme)
Well done. I wish there was more levels. Nice tempo in game.
Really like the way the music is affected by the gameplay, it really changed the way I was playing
Nice learning curve. Definitely my favourite game so far!
Liked the graphics. But I couldn't really get anywhere in the game...
I like the exploring that becomes necessary to be able to figure out where to push the block to. Nice, but even after placing the crate on the green spot it doesn't trigger a new level or let me "win" the game..
This feels like the beginning of a really clever little game. I hope you finish the project even after LD is over!
The first time I died I jumped right out of my chair, I really wasn't expecting it :-) Well done!
Very niece piece. Going to come back and play this again!
Really enjoyable, played it over and over again trying to improve my score. Simple and minimalistic but really enjoyable
I had great fun playing this game!
This could make a really fun mobile game, given that it really doesn't need more than two buttons to play. Great work!
Cool with the p2p stuff, though I couldn't actually see the other person do anything?
Very nice indeed. You should definitely polish this and release it!
Humorous and relaxing and very innovative. Well done!
I have to agree with Ty Taylor. The game is fun and doesn't really need a death system. I can imagine myself spending hours on my mobile phone with this.
This is a really good game. You should make the graphics more child-friendly and release it on a site for kids educational games.
That was great! Like the really high-paced feeling of it! Too bad the lama wasn't more of a distraction ;-)
Sort of a "zen garden" feeling to it. Perfect match to the theme
Nice storytelling feature
Very nice mood setting
A lot more fun that it looks! Really creepy zombie sounds :-)
Really quite addictive. Though there seems to be a bug where the game will sometimes skip a level.
Reminds me of Hover Bovver a bit. Except I still haven't succeeded in cleaning a single room :-)
Nice original idea
Ok, now this I loved! Great and simple story combined with a nice and simple idea, but perfectly executed! Great work!
Really liked the gameplay! Nicely done!
Liked the way how each room moved around the character
Really liked this! Found it really satisfying adjusting the timings until I got it right. Great work!
Nice how the room moves around the character the way it does. Really like it!
Cool graphics!
I liked the control-scheme, this could probably turn into a really cool game!
nice graphics!
Really liked the sensation of speed in this game.
Well done! It seems that if you keep on running while hitting at the same time it is possible to keep on playing forever. Bug or a statement regarding the speed of zombies? :-)
Very nice and easy to understand what one should do. Good work!
Very funny. The controls feel a bit sluggish at times. Really like it!
This is a great action RPG! Loving it! Is it possible to get kill the boss?
Really nice idea!
Really neat idea!
Nicely balanced game, well done!
Really liked the aiming and shooting technique in this game. It's a nice feature for a 2d platformer! Nice Work!
A real "Feel good" game, felt like a was just swimming around relaxing avoiding the large octopuses. Nice work!
Nice lighting! Nice graphics, fun gameplay. Really impressive!
Excellent game!
Well done! Relatively well balanced levels with funny dialogue. A lot more fun then some of the more "polished" games from this jam.
Addictive music and an addictive game! Nice job!
Great music! and a really cool star field! Nice work!
Highly addictive game. Great work! I really love the music!
Wow I just kept on playing and playing. Wasn't expecting to get so hooked. Great tune as well!
Very cool idea!
Beautiful game! Really relaxing and tricky!
Very addivtive game. Great work!
I have to agree with Belvar. It's a great game! A little polish on the controls and levels and I could play this for ages!
Love the music!
Nice concept. Pretty art. But the sound effects were driving me crazy!
Great game idea! But I have to agree with Varun that it needs a better indicator on when one should press the beat.
Added a youtube video to the links in case someone is wondering how the game works: https://youtu.be/ijqZ7_uAiqM
Nice idea.
Nice idea! I actually like the music!
Wonderful! Well done!
Great idea! Nice difficulty threshold as well. Well done!
Beautiful graphics!
Fun idea! I found it a bit tricky to actually hit the bats.
That was amazing. Incredible what you've made in 48 hours! Great work!
Nice game. A bit hard for my taste, but fun!
Loving it. Nice level design! Easy to pickup controls and nice scaleability. You should make a mobile game of it. Nice work!
Great idea! Nice work!
Nice challenging platformer! It actually felt quite nice to play something with controls that were natural and with a gameplay that didn't require an entire page of instructions :-) Definitely one of my personal favourites so far.
Nice learning curve and great music! Well done! Jumping felt a bit too rough a times but I got used to it.
Interesting idea. The tutorial was a bit too long though. Well done!
It starts of a bit slow but it's a sound idea. Extended with a few bells and whistles this could turn into a nice game. Good work!
Fun little shooter. The audio needs adjusting though. A bit too loud...
No really the type of game a usually play, but still enjoyable. Nice art style!
Nice 3D view. The asteroids feel huge! The controls are a bit tricky to extent that they feel buggy at first. It gets a bit better, but I think they need to be a bit more intuitive. Good work!
What I really liked was how fast this game triggered my need for exploration! What happens if I create a lot of wolves or alot of bears and so on... Loved the breeding functionality! Unfortunately I pressed the button so much that the game froze. No harm done. Just started over :-) Great work!
Impressive with multiple songs in a compo game! Good work! It has the same problem as my game though... Some kind of compass or other directional hint would make it a bit easier to find things.
Addictive little game. The first I managed to intentionally hit an alien with its own shot it felt great!
Highly addictive! I could've played this for ages :-) Great work!
Never played a petting simulator before. Cute graphics!
Nice stacking game. The planet felt a bit too close, until it zoomed out the first time, or maybe my reflexes are just terrible :-)
Contact Mike and see if he can help you switch category of the game. Otherwise it was a really nice game. The fire feature made resemble a clever "snakes" type of game. Since the ice wall got bigger it was harder to dodge the fires. Focus on the 2 button feature and this might make a great mobile game!
Tricky resource game. I never really understood why I would need to rotate the planet? I liked the rabbits though :-)
Loved the goat. An excellent first entry! Congratulations!
Impressive amount of content for a 48h game! But as a lot of the others said: the sound needs to go :-)
I liked the balance between puzzles and dashing towards the pellets to collect them before the other amoebas :-) With a few improvements to the graphics this could easily be a great game for the mobile platform.
Clever idea with the password!
Nice little game. Easy to grasp and tricky to get good at! I spent a lot of time avoiding the planet until I realized that colliding with it didn't harm the ship.
Nice idea. With a bit more balancing of minerals and life-impact this would be highly engaging! Great work!
Nice idea! Though I found it a bit hard even on the easy level :-)
Once the action started it was total chaos :-) Great work!
Very polished for a game made in 24 hours! I felt like I wanted more feedback in game. When starting up the first time I felt a certain information overload when trying to figure out what to do. Maybe I'm just a slow learner :-) Great work!
I had a hard time learning to boost properly, but I like the concept. With a more gradual difficulty build-up this would be really engaging.
A nice idea even with a great mood to it and the audio was excellent! Great work!
Unlimited power! :-) Tricky but addictive game. Great work!
@gonutz : This is a 32-bit build for 32-bit machines. I've verified that it works on older versions of 32-bit Windows 10 and on an up to date 64-bit Window 10. You might just be missing the redist files: https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=48145
28 turns. I started out thinking this was going to be really boring. But I really quite liked it!
Wow. Nice looking game. It was a bit too tricky to play but I think I'll get the hang of it with a bit more practice. Great work!
Great idea! Th levels felt really well balanced as well!
Unfortunately the game doesn't seem to work under Windows 10 Pro. Also greetings fellow monolith'er. In my game the player destroys monoliths! :-) https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/dodge-x
A lot more addictive than expected... I really wanted the auto feeder and milker and a lot of cows :-) But I couldn't see that the feeder or milker was actually doing anything?
Wow! This was amazing! Great work!
Loving the game and the music. I think I'll go back and play a bit more... :-) Great work!
Addictive. Personally I felt the trick was to avoid the steam games as much as possible, the seem to gather up anyway. Sort of like in real life ;-)
Wow ok that was hard. Ok, maybe I'm just no good at this type of game but I had to dodge the first two enemies to get anywhere and then I still got slaughtered real fast after kill those two from behind. It's quite dark, but that actually works pretty well.
Took a while to get used to the controls, but after that it was great!
QB64 was a nice tip. Thanks @captaindreamcast ! I'll leave a link here: http://www.qb64.net/ Not much of an actual interactive game going on here. But your story telling skills are 10x better than mine!
Well done on your first unity project. I liked the main character!
Great lighting and duck models! Well done!
Tricky game, but the music was driving me mad :-)
Sorry same error as @willisika ... also on Windows 10...
The hotfix works on Windows 10. Great work!
That was pretty unique. Well done! And the music fit really well!
Really nice and atmospheric style. Great work!
Loving the fact that the coins make you heavier. It's nice things like that make this game enjoyable!
Now that was a lot more fun than I was expecting it to be!
Hehe. The ghost scared the crap out of me the first time it happened, even when a knew it was coming. Whooo!
Beautiful game.
Oddly enough the game doesn't work on my Computer... Running Windows 10 at 2560x1440...
Now that was just awesome. I want this as a game for my phone!
Great music. Really build an atmosphere! Nice work!
Definitely a mooood piece. Yeah I just had to ;-) A refreshing take on the theme, but I wouldn't have minded a some more game play in it.
Well executed idea! A liked having to enter the shop in-game to keep it going. This could go make a really nice game with some graphical and audio improvements. Well done!
Great idea! Left me wanting more levels :-)
More fun than I thought it was going to be. But a bit unbalanced ;-) At least in the beginning it would be nice if moving between slot machines actually moved entire steps from one machine to another instead of sliding around.
Nice mood, but I had a hard time understanding the mechanics at first.
@fractal Actually the arrow keys do work. I just couldn't fit it in the in-game instructions without too much hassle :-)
@fractal Doh! You're absolutely right! Completely forgot about the powerups :-)
@gonutz Thanks for the feedback! There's a link in the middle of the description with a zipped version of the game which includes the OpenAL installer. The game packaged with OpenAL: http://www.cogitarecomputing.com/poweruppuncher/powerup.zip
@nnnikki There's a link in the middle of the description to a version which includes the OpenAL32 installer.
The link: http://www.cogitarecomputing.com/poweruppuncher/powerup.zip
That was a lot more fun than I thought it was going to be :-) Very addictive, I could've easily kept on clicking around for another 10 minutes :-) Well done!
Nicely designed level. A bit disorienting when everything was moving but it works! Well done!
Really well done! First time I sacrificed my eyes I wasn't expecting it to go dark. Really well executed idea!
Really impressed! Wow making a NES game for a game jam! Loved the music. Time to play it some more :-)
Well that really freaked my out. Reminded me a bit of David Lynch's stuff. Well done! I'm not going to forget that for a while :-)
Nice graphics and I really liked the catchy tune! But I really needed the walkthrough, I've never been good at point and click games... Well done!
I can easily see this becoming a really good game. You don't need more enemies. Just focus on limiting the resources a bit more and the player will have to think more carefully about when to to move and what direction to be able to complete the level without running out of life/fuel. It'll be more strategic and less of a blaster game, but I think I would enjoy it. And well done making the game from scratch using only HTML and canvas!
Awesome! This was all the fun I was hoping my fighting game was going to be :-) Proper impact effects, tricky adversaries and a proper challenge. Just simply awesome! Well done!
Really addictive game but a bit too hard for me :-) Well done!
Loved the audio. Well done!
Nice work! The sound effects had me giggling :-)
Great game! I found it very easy to understand what to do and quite addictive. Very well balanced as well! Well done!
Great looking game! It felt a bit repetitive after a while, but that can easily be improved upon. A well executed idea. Well done!
Beautiful and simple. My kind of game! With some work on the physics and some audio this would make a really nice game! Well done!
Nice mutation mechanism!
Addictive game. A bit tricky to get the hang of, but quite fun when you do. Well done!
Very nice idea! And the music was really catchy! Well done!
I really love platform games. Fun game!
Imaginative idea to make a game (with a plot!) out of Conway's game of life. Takes a while to figure out the system :-)
Really nice well made game. Though I have to agree with @redz0ner that it's really hard to get the hang on the normal attack. Well done!
Nice little roguelike! Quite addictive. I'm going to play this some more :-)
Nice game. As most I really liked the mood the music set and finding a new weapon was a fun experience. Well done!
Delighted to see that the card handling was easy to understand. I usually get really frustrated with card games :-) Well done!
Great music and an addictive game play. Well done! I usually suck at platform games but I think I did pretty well this time which leads me to think that maybe the difficulty threshold has to go up a notch :-) Really enjoyed it!
Clever idea and a nice execution. Well done! Really liked the atmosphere the music gave.
Congratulations on completing your first game jam! It's not easy. Well done! The game is a bit basic. The thing I missed the most though was the lack of feedback. I didn't really notice any impact when attacking enemies so I had a hard time figuring out how to improve my strategy when playing. But it's well done for a first attempt!
Very nice and moody music. Nice to hear that the jump will be fixed soon, but I actually enjoyed hammering the SPACE bar to levitate enough to get over the hurdles. Added an extra dimension to the game! Well done!
Very philosophical both by name and by content. The decision really made a difference to the journey and the experience.
Congratulations on completing your first Ludum Dare! and good job! Easy game to understand but trick to master.Well done!
**Known bugs: ** Spotty collision detection.
Not enough time to animate Alcindor.
Glitch when traversing gridspot 0 in Y direction.
No compass, so finding the keys takes a while..
No description of the "door" home: It's a block with circle on it.
No legend of all items:3 potions types, 3 enemy types, a healing stone, water, fire and so on...
Keys: A is fire. X is water, Y is stone. B is quit level.
The game is way too hard.
The project was way too ambitious for the 32 hours I could put in to it.
So I suggest focusing on the game play element rather that pointing out bugs...:-)
Youtube how to play: https://youtu.be/MDvIrmm_Zr4
@griz The OpenAL installer is included in the zip file.
@tommislav It's a sound driver used by a lot of the games here. So you'll probably need it at some point. You don't have to trust me, get it here instead: https://www.openal.org/downloads/
Pretty and fun! The art style reminded me of gato roboto a bit.
Imaginative and fun game! Well done!
Well done! I love bullet hell games! I just wish there were more patterns/levels!
Forgot... The game requires OpenAL which is included in the .zip if you for some unknown reason still haven't installed this awesome sound library.
Also, adding **double** as a command line argument when starting the game will double the window size for all you people with gigantic displays :-)
Well done! The annoying insults made me laugh at times :-)
Nice puzzle game. But like many of the other have written, the controls are a bit tricky. Well done on an enjoyable game!
This was a lot more fun than I thought it was going to be. Challenging in a fun a simple way! Well done!
Cute graphics and a catchy tune! Nice game!
Nice idea. Well worth expanding on if you get the time. A bit too easy, but maybe I got lucky? Alright. I'll have another go at it ;-)
Loved those character graphics! Well done and welcome to Ludum Dare :-)
I survived for 2:06. I'm terrible at this game, my fault, not yours :-) Nice idea!
Nice and moody. I suppose the only thing I can say without spoiling it is: Great idea to switch genres like that! I wasn't expecting such a story! Well done!
Wow that was hard! The game was really easy to comprehend withing a second of starting it, which in itself really isn't easy to achieve! Well done!
Quite enjoyable! Well done!
Hehe I agree with @wittycognomen :-) Hugging the monster was the first thing I did :-) Nice mood. Well done!
Hehe I agree with @wittycognomen :-) Hugging the monster was the first thing I did :-) Nice mood. Well done!
I found the game quite difficult(maybe I'm missing something) but charming and the musics really catchy!
Wow that was really hard! Well done and welcome to Ludum Dare!
I LOVE THIS GAME! and I'm playing it on my own! I can hardly imagine how much keyboard mashing fun this must be with a couple of friends playing it as well! You really need to make a full release with better level balancing! Awesome idea! This has so much potential!
Nice music and I loved the humor! Well done!
Nice mood. Well done!
Nice addictive game! Found aiming a bit hard, but maybe I just have to practice a bit more.. Well done!
Love the presentation! Well done!
Very addictive! And the music too! Well done! I figured out the same strategy as @fedora to win the game. Still great fun!
Nice idea!
What a nice game. Feel relaxed after that. Nice work!
Fun with a music oriented game. Well done!
Haha! This was refreshingly weird. Had a hard time accomplishing anything but I really didn't care because I was having so much fun :-) Ludum Dare needs more games like this one! Great work!
That was a lot more fun than I thought it was going to be. Nice game idea! Well done!
Youtube video of me completing almost all 10 levels :-)
https://youtu.be/ALs4Z3hMaZM
@amin-jk000 Download the OpenAL installer from https://openal.org/downloads/ You'll most likely need it for other games as well.
Added a bugfix that turns off screen resizing and other small bugs that don't really affect the gameplay:
http://www.cogitarecomputing.com/beetroots/BeetRootsBugfix1.zip
Really moody labyrinth. I got really disorientated a couple of times, so, well done!
Very nice and pretty game. Loved the music. Holding in space seems to let you do infinite double jumps. Quite a lot of fun! Well done!
Reminds me of an old C64 game "Deflektor". Had a hard time getting used the userinterface. Once you breach that wall it's a nice challenging game with some fun puzzles though. Great work!
Clever game. I really liked the paper graphics and the puzzles start out at reasonable difficulty. Well done!
Really creepy atmosphere in this one. Well done. Got lost a bit too much though..
Wow! Just wow. Now this is what innovation look like! Well done! Cute graphics, catch music and a well executed clever and unique idea. Well done!
This was a lot more fund than I thought it was going to be. Got a very "zen" like feeling from playing, just relax and press the button. The graphics were at start a bit underwhelming but the diminishing cubes made a really nice pattern. Only made it as far as 41 loops unfortunately :-) Spot on the theme! Great work!
Nice planet jumping mechanic. Well done!
Nice puzzle idea and atmospheric music. Well done!
Really clever idea and well designed puzzles. Well done!
Nice graphics, but I also found the controls a bit too finicky.Otherwise a very well executed idea. Well done!
Wow I really can't drive a bus. Fun game though, the graphics were nice and the music was ok since the loop was constantly interrupted by "let's" "thank you". Well done!
Now that was an excellent game. Loved the music and how the interaction sounds combined so well with it. Well done!
Nice game. Once you've only got a single planet left to visit it gets really challenging but it's addictive enough I just kept on playing. Well done!
Liked this a lot more than I thought I would. Very addictive just circling the zombies over and over until they're all splattered. Love the puns. Feels very Duke Nukem inspired :-) Well done! I'll be playing this a bit more now :-)
Pretty addictive game. Nice to see a simple well executed idea. Well done!
I actually found the game to be relatively difficult, but maybe I'm just bad at shooting games :-) The music needs a few more loops. I liked the bug animations. Well done!
Wow that seeker was creepy :-) Nicely made!
What a beautiful game! Well done! Too bad you didn't have time to finish it.
You reproduced the feeling of the daily grind really well. Could really identify with it :-) Well done!
Nice interpretations of the theme. Had the same problem as @almax with the shoes, but all-in-all a very nice game. Well done!
Loading games have been a thing since the 80s, but rarely were they evil and tried to bamboozle you. Nice idea!
I had some trouble with controls being way too sensitive but you managed to build quite a suspenseful atmosphere and the enemies felt really spooky. Well done!
The clues were a nice feature. Well done!
Nice mood piece. At some point I swore I heard someone else typing in the game? But nothing I did mattered. Which is sort of the point I guess. Well done!
Beautiful reflections. Really loved the lighting. Well done!
Wow that was one quick adventure to the treasure room! :-) Jokes aside, I liked the tempo and the music really added to the experience! Well done!
Victory! :-) Nice bouncy game. Once I understood that I could bounce once I made contact with a surface I stopped dying and had a lot of fun. Well done!
Nice idea. The interface needs some polishing for slow learners like me. Funny backstory. Well done!
Nice idea. Had a bit of hard time getting a feel for the depth of the rings and kept missing them. Really digging the music. Well done!
Got a bit dizzy after a while and had to take a break. I agree that it lacks some kind of musical score or less intense sound effects but it's still a very nice and well executed idea! Well done!
Wow that was quite tricky. Took a while to figure out. Nice graphics and clever puzzles. Well done!
Got lost quite a lot. Quite an addictive game though. Well done!
Nice story with the multiple paths. Almost missed it. Well done!
Now this is the kind of game I like. Not too original but just a couple of unique touches and a well balanced level. Well done!
What a clever idea and well polished! I really liked the music. It had a Jean-Michel Jarre feel to it. Well done!
Seriously well polished game for a 48 hour compo. Well done!
Wow that was crazy fun! Well done!
Neat idea and well made. Nicely done!
Clever idea! I'm not much for card games, so this would need something to raise the suspense slightly. Maybe music that changes based on the current state of the game?
Beautiful game but it's a bit difficult to figure out exactly what to do. Still a very nice compo game. Well done!
Loved the sound effects and music. Well done!
What a pleasant game and very polished. Well done!
I hade high hopes for the laser but it seems it didn't penetrate rock very well  Addictive game! Well done!
I have to agree with the other players. The sharks made it a bit too difficult. Otherwise it was a really nice moody game. Well done!
Looks great! Exciting music and lasers what more do you need! Well done!
Lovely presentation and really catchy music! I'm going to be humming that all evening  Well done!
That was a nice and relaxing game until things started firing at me  Took a while to get used to the thruster controls but I always have that problem in games with thrusters  I honestly think you should skip the things that fire upon the ship and keep the mood relaxed. It was a nice experience. Well done!
Great game for 5 hours of work. Well done! I would've placed the drill slightly higher up on the screen to give poor losers like me a bit longer to react to the incoming rocks. S
What an awesome flashback to my youth. Thank you and well done!
Wonderfully funny game dialogue and really relaxed pace with calm music. What's not to like?
Nice visuals! As the others I had a hard time finding my bearings at first but quickly adapted to it. So well done!
A really beautiful game! Nicely done! The different kind of bombs kind of confused me and I ended up headbutting some of them to my surprise that worked! It needs a slower ramp up for people with terrible reflexes such as mine. Well executed!
Very neat idea using the scroll wheel like that. I obviously tried to cheat and that didn't work too well for me
Nice game with an awesome sword swinging barbarian! The spell system could've used the mouse to target the adversaries. I think that might've added another dimension to the game play. Still a very nice addictive game!
I took me a while to get used to the jumping mechanics. Enjoyed music! Well done!
Loved the wacky robot grin and having to keep track of the amount of ladders I had left. However the controls are rather sensitive I managed to accidentally drill down numerous times when I actually didn't have any more laddersleft to get back up. It was a nice touch that the ladders stayed in place after a reset to allowing me to get out of my ladder predicament
Nice idea. With a few more features to increase the variation a bit this would be a good mining game (such as elevators, dynamite, etc..) Well done!
Very nice endless shoot'em'up with exciting music an ok difficulty threshold. It's always fun when I'm able to stay alive for more than a couple of seconds  quite addictive as well. The rocks and ships were very well made. With a a bit of work on the background graphics this would've looked great! Well done!
Really liked the art style! Nicely done!
Nice game. Funny and challenging! I found it to be bit too hard for me, but once I accepted that I'll just keep dying and quite some fun. Well done!
Haha! Awesome! Loving that mouth laser effect! Well done!
Those were some really aggressive fish  I liked the graphics as well. Congratulations on your first successful ludum dare!
Nice looking game. Love the feeling of zooming past that first planet then smacking head first into an asteroid  Well done! Some sound effects or music would've been nice, but I think I would've like some kind of navigational support like a cross in the middle of the screen or the bars of a cockpit to get a feeling for the size of the space ship.
Highly addictive game  Well done! It probably needs to be a bit harder. I seem to be able to keep Ron asleep forever
Really liked the graphics but like the others I hade a bit of a hard time steering. I kept losing too fast, so I had a hard time a getting any better at it since I spent most of my time dying  So I would've liked it a little easier, but then again I've never been very good at these type of games. Congratulations on completing your first game jam!
I REALLY liked this game, the graphics style and the physics and the mood are great! It is a bit too difficult for me though.. Reminded my of Canabalt for some reason.
Ooh when I saw that green glowing thing I really wanted to reach it  Never got that far though. Found it pretty difficult (which I guess was the point). Well done!
Holy clickfest  I whish there was an auto-clicking automation tool... Bringing it to an entirely meta level of clicking
Beautiful visuals but I have no idea what I'm supposed to do. After a while I just relaxed and let the beautiful graphics flow by
I think this is by far the most innovative game I've played during LD49. I wish I had your imagination. Well done!
A soothing and calm game. I wasn't sure what to do at first since there's no instructions. Am I supposed to stack objects or keep the pile a low as possible, or should I sort the objects. But the score board at the end cleared things up. Just stacking things can be quite fun :-)
Oddly addictive and I liked the audio comments. Well done!
High quality game! Well done! It's easy to understand what to do and tricky to master it, yet it never feels like the game is cheating you so you just keep trying. Challenging and fun. Well done!
 Has someone sent this to Mike yet? Nice story! Well done!
This game is intentionally hard and unstable. When you think your stuck.. Just try jumping around in different ways to affect the unstable blocks. Here's a playthrough:
https://youtu.be/ZdIwjUFFQXQ
@big-play-ben , @spider-developer Download the OpenAL sound drivers from https://www.openal.org/downloads/ You're definitely going to need them for other Ludum Dare games as well.
@bobertsson Yeah, a lot of the block moving and shoving is intentionally unstable to make the game more dynamic, but there seems to be bug where it sometimes possible to fall through the floor and crash the game.. That instability wasn't planned :-)
It also sounds like you computer can't handle the pixelshaders I'm using (since you can see the normalmaps).
You can run the game with "CurseOfApep.exe no_shaders" to turn off the shaders.
@solah Thanks. I'm just happy to hear that you want to play the entire game  Maybe I'll look into doing a minor bugfix if I can find the time..
@bobertsson Sorry there's no level select but if you go into the "maps" directory for CurseOfApep you can just rename the level-files and play them in any order you wish.
@oliver-richmeier @jose-bonilla I can't really reproduce the issue you're having. Sure the window opens in the top left corner, but the entire map is visible. It would be great if one of you could post a screenshot so I can get an idea as to what it looks like on your computers.
Thanks for all the help @oliver-richmeier . I've uploaded a version that defaults to the centre of the screen and allows moving/resizing the window plus a bunch of other settings have been exposed via bat-files. Hopefully one of these should work fine on your system.
@zimny11 Your computer doesn't seem to be able to handle the shaders. Thank you for rating based on the video instead. You can run the game without shaders using the "no_shaders" commandline argument or starting it with the "CurseOfApep-No-shaders.bat" file.
Well done. That was really difficult. I kept pressing the wrong buttons all the time  But I had a fun time doing it.
Nice game idea and well implemented! The difficulty curve is a bit steep and since I ended up dying A LOT it would've been nice to be able to skip going through the menus every time. Well done! It's a really clever game!
That was a clever idea. I think I would've enjoyed some kind of "table nudge" mechanism like in a pinball game. Not that it would've helped me, I'm terrible at these games  but I think the extra interaction would've made it even more fun. All in all, a nice game. Well done!
Well done! I think you nailed the theme pretty well. Had a hard time figuring out how to balance the engines at first.
I really like the feeling of jumping from rock to rock. I would've liked a bit more stamina just to be able to jump around a bit more. Nice game mechanics. Well done!
Really nice game! The difficulty was perfectly balanced for someone like me. A bit too hard and frustrating at the start and then suddenly you get the hang of it and you're zooming along and feel that the level was too short. Great game!
Nice atmosphere & graphics with relaxing music to match. What else does one need  Well done!
Nicely done. That the guns can break (and often) really added a nice twist to the game.
Nice graphics and an interesting take on the theme. Well done!
Wow that was incredibly hard. I couldn't get the hang of how to jump to certain platform and just randomly threw my ice cube at object that sometimes made it jump further up. Worked ok for a while. Nice platform game and I like how the melting affects the game play. Well done!
Nice physic bridge puzzles. The idea has a lot of potential as well. Well done!
Great puzzle game. Well done!
208 seconds. Nice graphics and an easily addictive game. However it would've been nice to be able to just hold the mouse button in. Started to think I was going to wear out my mouse buttons
Nice graphics. The game was a bit too hard for me, but I still had a lot of fun. Well done!
Nice game with a catchy tune. However I do agree with @zarkonnen and @dekajoo . There's a lot of different buttons that need to be pressed instead of utilizing the mouse and drag'n'drop. For instance, click on the customer or drag the ingredients you want to combine instead of having separate buttons. Still a nice game. Now I'm going go back and try more different things :-)
I agree with @munkkeli m it's a pretty hard game. It's actually a pretty decent stealth game given the 48h limit.
 I have no idea what's going on in this game, but it's a nice version of breakout. Well done!
Nice twist with the dragon. Well done!
score: 991828 One of the better stacking games I've played from LD49 so far. A lot better balanced than some of the others. Well done!
Addictive game  I couldn't get close to your record.
The difficulty curve was pretty good, ramping up at a good pace. I found it a little tricky to grab hold of the pegs sometimes, that was probably just me stressing out trying to connect all the calls
Nice idea. The game was fun to play as well. Well done!
A beautiful game but way too hard for me. I hade way too much trouble trying to grasp the controls.
Nice little adventure and puzzles easy enough for me  I agree with some of the other players that the wobble is a bit too much when walking,
My end score was huge and I just can't stop laughing. This was hilariously fun! Well done!
Wow quite the story for a ball balancing game. The in game text really kept it going as well. Well done!
Nice game. Made it a challenge to try and complete each level without firing a shot. Almost made it through half of them  I found aiming a bit difficult but I couldn't really put my finger on why.
 Now I'm going to have the tune stuck in my head. Very enjoyable stacking game the sound effects really added to the cuteness. Well done!
Nice idea. I agree with the others that the balance is a bit off but still a good game for a 48h compo. Well done!
I liked it and it was fun to be able tweak the game parameters as well. I think the jump physics could need a bit of adjustment. Otherwise a good game. Well done!
Got a Twin Peaks vibe off this. Not bad at all! It's very artsy and I would've needed a tiny bit more information to be able to interpret and appreciate it fully.
Clever game but I'm with @jimbly . There's a bit too much randomness involved here. Some extra mechanism to tilt it close to being a more skill/experience based game would be nice. Still well done. Not many people would dare to try and make a 48h compo game using just HTML,CSS & Javascript!
Clever idea. The game was very well balanced and everything felt really deliberate and planned out. Excellent execution of a really good game idea. Well done!
@p1x3lc0w Thanks for the feedback! Yeah most of these things can be explained by "I ran out of time". I had a hard time tweaking the speed correctly and I'm going to guess that most of the comments are going end up being either about the slow speed followed by the game becoming way too fast.
Also, yes. The game has music and sound effects. I've tried it in Edge, Firefox and Chrome on Win 10 and it's working ok in those. What browser/OS combination are you running?
@lisyarus Thanks! I was striving for an interesting take on the theme  Yeah, as I mentioned in a previous comment I ran out of time so I was never able to tweak the game speed to feel "right". and YES! the terrain guiding is supposed to be super intelligent. It's part of the design so that you always inevitably end up winning the game and it's up to you to delay it so that you can rack up a better score.
@anonymouspanda Thanks! Yes I did come up with the idea. I can't recollect ever seeing a game that uses that as it s main gimmick before. I just wish I had the time balance the speedup/slowdowns a bit more.
Nice shooty game. I was expecting thrust-controls given the triangular shape of the ship and was relieved that you chose to just let each key move you in the obvious direction  The level can easily become overwhelming but I'm guessing that that is the point given the theme. As you mentioned, obviously more weapons and a larger variation of enemies would be cool but then again its a 48h compo, who has the time for that. Well done!
Nice graphics and a nice idea with the echo location. If you make more levels I think a nice idea would be surfaces that the echolocation bounces away from.
Simple yet very addictive. The sound effects happened the first time I couldn't stop laughing.. The same words were being uttered by me  Well done!
Nice! I like danmaku games. There's just something about the patterns I really enjoy. I ended up in a odd situation though. I cleared a bunch of enemies and collected to packets but no hooded men or enemies appeared so there was just me and an empty screen for 15 seconds. No harm done. The game was nice. Well done!
Really well made graphics. I played it on my computer which definitely seems harder than playing it on a device with touchscreen. An easy mode would be a nice feature where the gravity is a lot lower so the game difficulty is lowered. Well executed idea! Congrats!
Nice and really impressive game! I've always really liked Sokoban and adding cats and a time limit based on the water flow was a great idea. This has the makings of a future 8-bit classic! Well done!
Nice game. Shooting the timer felt almost fourth wall breaking. Really clever and the game is addictive as well. Excellent!
Clever idea. I thought it was going to just randomly guess numbers but it ended up being really fun trying to avoid the AIs guesses. Well done on a really original idea!
Great game. I found the game to be really well balanced and basically self explanatory. That's good game design! There's not much incentive to play again once you've played the game so it was smart of you to add several differently themed maps. Well done!
Great music and graphics. Some type of progress meter would be nice. Well done!
@yorsh The score seemed only to be related to amount of bites you managed to perform. I was thinking of something that also included the total time spend in the game.
31 clones. I was lucky. They left me alone for quite a long time on the upper left platform  I agree with some others. A bit more predictability on where and how the clones show up and some fine tuning of the player movement and you've got a good game!
Nice idea with the custom cannon. Nice addictive game play.. I'll just go back and play it a couple more times
Hmm. I made it to 84.4. The game concept is good and the music is really nice. A bit more variation in the graphics while continuously slamming space would've been nice though. Maybe day and night cycles, seasons and so on.
Nice game! Reminded me of Super Crate Box in a good way. I wasn't really clear on what determines when the meteors will arrive. I managed off 140 of them and the meteors came after 1:10. The game was really pleasant to play. Well done!
Nice idea. I like the the way the incoming force just flows towards the castle  I don't mind it feeling a bit unfinished. It's a compo game. Just coming up with the idea and creating it in 48 hours is great work. Well done!
I liked the the abstract style and the movement of the cupcake. Mesmerizing  The first time round I misunderstood the game completely and just zoomed around aimlessly enjoying myself. Well done!
Neat idea. I really liked the art style. Well done!
Beautiful game. The mouse controls felt a little bit too sensitive on my computer, but that's a personal preference... (I'm running the game in Chrome on Windows 10). I would've like an arrow to help you find your way back to the "ring" once you've located the eternity rock. At least on the first couple of levels before you get used to it. Nice idea and fun too. Well done!
A tip for all those playing this game with a Swedish keyboard. The '\' (backslash) key mention at the start of the game is the '§' key on our keyboards.
That was a lot more fun than I was expecting it to be. Once I got better at using my special abilities I started to survive a bit longer at least. Nice game. Well done!
Really clever game. Well done! I really like the music. Nice and relaxing. It's still on in the background whilst I'm typing this  :notes:
Only managed to reach 421 points. I love the little guys with the jetpacks! Great work with all the trophy grabbing characters! Cool game. Sort of part tower-defence part something else. Well done!
Wow that was intense! Great music that really amplifies the mood. Manoeuvring the ship feels really nice. More power ups would've been nice but you can't have everything  Well done!
Wow this was a really impressive compo. It felt like something put together professionally over a much longer period than 48 hours. Everything just felt right. Incredible! Well done!
Nice idea to make THRUST-style game with this theme. I scienced as hard as I could but in the end gravity won  :comet: Well done!
Really captured the essence of good space arcade game and the music is awesome! Well done!
Wow this was just terribly silly and I couldn't stop giggling  Well done!
Nice game idea. The controls felt a little stiff and it sometimes felt like I got stuck. The character graphics were really well done. Good job! I managed to delay spring by 90 seconds.
Nice racing game. The graphics and the music reminded my very much of another racing game from the game/console company that shall not be named. Very well made. At some point I got stuck between a crater and a wall, but only once. Well done!
Great game idea. I liked the graphics. They were simple and clean and easy to understand. Well done!
Nice simple idea and nice graphics. Well done!
Nice game. A challenging build your on platformer on time. The first time I start the level there doesn't seem to be any blocks available but after a restarts its ok. The game was a bit too difficult for me and I would've liked a couple of easy "short" levels to start with just to make me feel like I know what I'm doing and then BAM! Follow up with a tricky level that I'd try and try again. Well executed!
Neat idea and the pig is so cute! The game was however a bit too hard for me. I hardly made it anywhere. Then again I've never been good at games that require timing  :pig: Time to try a bit harder I tihnk
Cool music rhythm game. I wasn't expecting one of those with the theme being what it is. Just like @foxwater I zoned out for a while and just played and played. Also I love Lovecraftian themed stories. Well done!
Nice idea. I didn't mind the flashing graphics. I'm used to old computer games  The teleporting was a nice too bad the theme didn't turn out the way you wished.
Page still doesn't work
Haha! That was awesome. What a great idea and congratulation on completing your first game compo!
Cool idea. I had a hard time determining how far away things were. Shadows on the ground and an indicator of some kind to warn if you're getting too close to some rocks would've been nice. I still had a lot fun just gliding a round. Well done!
Nice clicker game. Some early indication system would let it feel less random. For instance indicating in which region the factor 2 steps ahead might shop up at or something like that.
Nice mood to this game and the player character is really cute. I really loved the sound and effect that happens when you collect a gemstone too! On or two features extra and this would keep me entertained for ages. Well done!
Interesting take on the theme, I like the idea. I think I couple more different kinds of hotel disasters and you'd have a nice management sim.
Nice idea. Kind of reminds me of a hectic version of Faster Than Light. While a liked the idea, it's currently a bit tricky to navigate around the ship and I tended to get stuck on things, but you can't have everything in a game made in 48h. Well done!
Seems ok given that you didn't have much time. The main thing that I miss is a score counter- With that and a slightly faster pace I think it would be the start of an interesting score chaser game.
Excellent music! The special attack was really clever, especially how it was possible pick up the "coins" again if you were fast enough. Nice game!
Very nice graphics but I agree with @robowarrior1982 it needs feedback of some kind to make it easier to understand. A like how the grim story is in stark contrast to light and cheerful atmosphere in the game
The embedding combined with the emscripted generated html seems to behave badly. To play the embedded game, press the white are to the right or left of the game twice. The game should have keyboard focus after that. If that doesn't work, then just use the external site: http://www.cogitarecomputing.com/hiccups/index.html
@thegamearchitect Believe it or not it actually isn't Comic Sans. It's "Source Sans Pro Heavy" that I've intentionally softened up to get more of a Bubble Bobble cutesy feeling.
@100th-coin You got it in one! I think the reason why the theme feels tacked on was that my method to get an idea this time was along the lines of "what games could work even if you didn't have a fire button" and Bubble Bobble popped into my head  It turns out that no... Bubble bobble without the fire button is just really frustrating so I added back in the last minute...
100.36! Given my terrible reflexes I'm pretty happy with that score  There's been a couple of multi-game-switching-games so far and I can tell you that this one is so far the best one of them all. I think you got the pacing right and the difficulty is decent enough that the game starts of as a fun challenge and then becomes addictively demanding. Well done!
Wow I complete racing game and A LOT of content! Well done. The 10 second limit was ok it was just awkward spending a lot of time getting back to and onto the bike which was the part that was fun, i.e. trying to figure out how to efficiently slow down in time for the abrupt stop  Still, really impressive for 48h compo!
Interesting take on an endless runner with the changing landscape. The landscape feels a bit unfair at times especially during the switches, but rather than make the randomizer kinder I would suggest maybe making the player smaller and the platforms thinner so there's a bit more space to navigate around blocks that might be a bit too close to each other otherwise.
This was amazing! What a great idea for this theme! Well done! The puzzles were really fun and well balanced. Definitely my favourite game so far!
Really liked the graphics and the game was quite addictive. Nice touch that colliding with the enemies spreads them apart so you have to be careful to not tag along with them too early. Well done!
Frustratingly difficult due to the slow camera but I agree with @busisen that the concept of learning the map gradually on each loop is quit nice!
Ok that was just hilarious, completely bonkers and very enjoyable! Well done!
You really aced the execution on this one. When I first read what a was supposed to do, I thought it was going to be boring but the combination of graphics, music and a really nice feel in the game play mechanics made this great. Well done!
Wow. It took a couple of tries to get hang of it. A bit like Tetris and at the same time the use of the mouse makes it quite different. Well done!
Uhm, I think you've forgotten to publish the game?
Haha the was really weird but in a good way  Love the dialogue! Always fun with a unique take on the theme to keep you on you toes. The game was the right length though, any longer and it would've been boring.
Very on theme with the glowing only lasting for 10 seconds but the game crashed after I found the first ghost? Are there more levels? Also after that the game no longer loads at all..
I have to agree with other in the comments section. I think this would've been a better touch-screen game. Flailing about with the mouse pointer like a mad man never really works for me, I just haven't got the precision for it  Other than that it was an interesting take on the theme. Well done!
A bit confused about what I'm supposed to do? I walked to the pod thingy, avoiding the colonist and the game was over? Still, good work anyway! It's not easy learning a new library, during a 48h compo and actually produce anything.
Wow it really got tricky fast. Funny idea though, I wasn't expected a button clicking game
I agree with @zioxindiedev , it's a really neat idea. Though I was way too difficult for me. I think a small tutorial or a simpler starting level would have helped a little.
The web version seemed to work just fine for me (using Chrome). Nice atmospheric game, a bit too slow for my liking. I would've been nice to be able to look at the upgrade recipes when off-ship to make it easier to determine which rocks to prioritize.
Nice idea. It took a little while for it sink in that all I really needed to do was exactly what was in the description. Avoid the reapers and collect the clues. Sometimes I would end up in an area that was completely disconnected from the other platforms and the reaper would show up, which seemed a bit unfair but all and all a really well executed idea. Well done!
Looks great and the environment matches the music perfectly. Personally I can never get used to games that require me to switch between scope- and regular- views, so I would've preferred having a different targeting mechanism.
Nice idea! The 10 seconds lifespan makes for some really interesting strategies when controlling the droids.
Well executed idea and quite addictive as well! Sort of like an inverted take on asteroids. The graphics were simple and to the point. Well done!
Reminded my of a simple version of Angry birds or a really old trajectory game I played back on an old Macintosh. Very simple but addictive gameplayer! I didn't find the controls very intuitive, but I guess they're probably better suited for a touch screen?
Played this a similar joust game on my C64 the other day (the game was called "Joust"). This is a really nice adaption of the same idea and properly modernized with cute graphics, nice music and easier controls. I really liked it. Well done in a well executed game idea!
Wow that was hectic. I think I would prefer this on a touch screen. The idea was nice and novel and the game was very well balanced. It it had been harder I would've given up but this just kept me playing for quite some time which made me quite committed to getting better at it. Well done!
Challenging game. I had a bit of an issue with the shooting until I read the text carefully  I liked the meteor shower. Nicely done!
Nice Pacman style game. I really liked the "down swing" music. Very cool! I felt that the collision detection was a bit unforgiving but there's only 48h so that's understandable. Well done!
I liked the music but had hard time getting the hang of the ship controls. I would've liked a "you last NNN minutes before your planet exploded" at the end
Wow! Really liked this game! Great vibe, pretty graphics, groovy music and good controls. Just a great game. You really should keep developing this after the jam. Really impressive work. Well done!
Nice use of the theme! I think the game would benefit from a larger playing area to give the player a better change to avoid the villagers during day time. Ooh and maybe some bonuses. "Werewolf dash" to be able to dash and then slash more villagers in a shorter time?
I didn't read your comment until after playing the first time and I really couldn't make sense of the game. To improve players impression of your game I suggest moving your comment into the description. Other than that it was a fun little mash'up. Well done!
Took a couple of tries before I understood the mechanics but it was pretty cool after that. Well done! I would've probably liked a little more guidance. I'm sort of suck at pinpointing things with a mouse, so a bit more auto aim when I'm getting close to the target with an indicator that I'm on target would've been nice
11700 points! Sometimes it's the simple ones that surprise me. I found this really addictive and I actually enjoyed the simple geometry graphics. Well done! Time to have another go.. 11700 feel really low
Congratulations on completing your first game jam! The game reminded my lemmings slightly but the really clever thing you did was just focus the puzzles round a single ability make it very easy to grasp and still hard to master. Well done! You're first game is a lot better than most of the games I've made and I've done this 24 times
Nice game, what intrigued me was that I couldn't really figure out what the resource cycle was. Clever idea! Well done!
The card matching was nice and I liked the idea of having to toggle between 3 games, it really messes with your mind  . However I couldn't really get a hang of the last two games. It felt like the droid thingy was stuck.
Neat idea. I really liked how if you plan strategically you get a lot of reuse of each ball by getting it to bounce back at the boxes. I think the game was a little too easy. I could just point the cannon right up and make it through all the levels.
Oh my goodness that was super hard! But the nice thing with the fast pace was that I just kept on trying. It helps that I really like old arcade games
Congratulation on completing you first game jam! And what a great game! Loved the sound effects and the puzzles were just the right difficulty for me. I think the sprite were perfect for the game as well. You should definitely keep on developing this after the jam. Well done!
I also got to the bonus level but didn't get to the end of it... Time to back and try again.
Interesting idea to change the level around the character like that, I found the character movement (especially jumping) a bit sluggish. Other than that it was fun game to play! Well done!
Congratulation on your first game jam! You did really well. I liked how the upgrades made the rest of the playing area accessible and how some of the cogs felt like they were juust precisely out of reach. Well done!
I liked the mechanics of this game. Especially the auto-attack was nice. Some more variation with the enemies and some polish on the sound & gfx and this would be something I could play and enjoy for quite some time. Well done!
@szieberth-adam Thanks for playing! I've added a link to the music.
Nice to play a different kind of game. Very enjoyable and I don't think it needs to be harder. Sometimes it's just nice to relax and press space a couple of times without any pressure while watching the world go by.
Nice combination of cute graphics and a relaxing game pace. I couldn't quite put my finger on it, but I didn't feel the need to replay it as much as some of the other commenters. I think I might the kind of person that needs some kind of defined end goal to continue trying again. Oh, my score was only around 700 something.
Wow that was really well made. I really enjoyed the "two step" mechanics. Not only did I have to boomerang down the apples I also had to make sure that they landed in the truck. Very well balanced game as well. It never felt unfair and it also felt like I was getting better at it all the time. Very addictive game. Well done!
Very relaxing and enjoyable to watch once the planet was filled too. Good idea to put what the plants require right under them so there's no doubt what needs to be done.
Excellent graphics and music. The game itself is a really nice idea and with a bit of polish this could very well be a game you could release, sell and be proud of. Well done!
Great game! I loved Chip's challenge. Cute graphics and well made puzzles. Well done!
As you mentioned. The game is pretty self explanatory even to a non-deck-game-player like me and feels quite well made, especially for a 48h game. Well done!
Congratulations on completing you first LD game! Nice idea but and music. Sometimes I just got stuck and couldn't sow or harvest anything and there was no real indication as to what I was doing wrong.
Very impressive puzzle game. The tutorial feels necessary but at the same time you leave enough to figure out to make the player feel clever. Well done!
Wow that was an addictive game. Really clever with the "?" for a 1000. It kept me going for a lot longer when I could see that there was some secret goal to it all  Well done!
Interesting idea. The crops starting burning out of control really fast so I really didn't feel like I stood a chance of putting out the fire. Maybe adding some kind of ditch building mechanic with the spade to be able to temporarily cut off a region from the fire would've benefited me.
Haha, this was hilarious! Spectacularly silly  The controls felt a bit stiff when turning but I guess that probably what it's like driving one of those things
Nice take on the theme. I liked the upgrade chests, nice with a bonus now and then.
I agree with @resevoir it was nice to be able to switch between farm and valhalla mode whenever I wanted. Definitely kept me playing for longer
ok, that was oddly satisfying for some reason... until I had way more corn that a could ever use. Nice idea! I think I would've liked some kind of event that could drastically level the play field again so that I would feel the need to continue clicking
Nice puzzles and the music was pretty good and graphics suited the game idea. I'm terrible at puzzle games though
 I didn't get anywhere close to 120. (I got 87). I hard a bit of hard time getting the hang of it. Sometimes I thought I was swinging the scythe over the wheat. Congratulations on creating your first jam game! 48 hours is an impressive time to make any kind of game in. Well done!
Nice game. I liked the music and the game was quite enjoyable. I don't have too much to add on top of what everyone already has said but it would be cool with a couple of bigger enemies to avoid or maybe enemies that only need to be avoided if they're hit by lightning.. Well done!
I liked the fact that the harvester is both the impending doom and the provider of kernels for the super powers, that was a really nice touch. Well done!
Just like most the others it took me a while to understand how the controls worked, the video helped a lot!
This is definitely my favourite game so far! (I've played over 30 compo games at this point). Great idea having to scavenge together weapons from parts. It adds a great sense of discovery to the game and the tempo was perfect for me. This is already a good game. It really has potential. Well done!
Congratulations on finishing your first gamejam! Interesting combination having to protect the growing plants while also being a bit of a platformer game. It wasn't entirely clear where to go and I managed to get stuck and not find my way out of one area. But still, you made a platform game in less than 48 hours. Well done!
CI agree with @bisnesspirate . The level design was really well done and the song was hilarious! One of the funniest games so far. Well done!
It's an interesting idea. I think the stacking is fun and it was good of you to point out how to complete the game when I was getting close. If the game hadn't done that I wouldn't have had any idea. So that was a nice touch. Well done!
Really nice idea. Well done! The graphics were especially nice.
Interesting idea. I didn't really understand the whole scrap buy/selling thing at first and ended up selling everything I had on my ship
Thanks @treblecolby I'm not sure what to do about that though.. Those trigger happy antivirus heuristics are really starting to get annoying
Interesting idea. It wasn't clear to me from the statistics at the end if I'd done a good job or not though.
This usually isn't my cup of tea but it was surprisingly fun. I really gradually became more complex in a very nice learning curve. The mood is great with the music is a well. Nice job!
I really liked the way the garbage collection worked. It took quite some time to get anything at first but I gradually got a lot better at it. Great fun! Well done!
The slowness has already been mentioned a gazillion times, but it's a nice game idea. A little more variation in the music with the dancers synchronizing to it would make it a bit more pleasing to look at while pondering my next move. The puzzles are understandable which is a big plus. Well done!
Fun idea with a tetris game. Very challenging having to plan ahead over a larger area. However I think the currently active area should wrap around the edges or something. As it is right now, one has to compensate for the center area receiving an unproportional amount of tetraminoes. Well implemented game and the music was perfect for the game! Well done!
Really nice idea and pretty as well. I have to agree with the others that the controls need adjusting. Sometimes it feels a bit unfair because of them. Otherwise an excellent game. Well done!
Wow this game is so well made. The music especially, it's definitely the best I've heard so far! The level progression was well thought out as well. This game is by far my favourite at this point. Excellently done!
First time I've played a game where I'm a forklift driver. Wow that was tricky to get the hang of, but once you do the game really becomes something entirely different. Given that, I'll have to say that the game is pretty well balanced. Well done!
Clever game. Resource management and some action as well! Well done! I would've liked a bit more fire power from the start but I've always been more of an action game guy
Nice little resource management game. Quite relaxing and easy too understand. Well done!
Nice tetris like game with at twist. Really enjoyed figuring out where to place the blocks but I couldn't make sense of when and why the count down is triggered? Well done on an otherwise very well polished game.
Nice game idea! I only managed to find 2 endings, so some kind of hint system on how to reach the other would've been nice.
Ooh this was an addictive game. I got as far as the catapult and beams the first time and had to come back here to figure out what to do next. I there was any hint in the game I was already too busy dodging stuff  Great game. Well done!
What a great game. Everything seems so well planned and polished. There's a lot going but that just makes me want to go back and play it again. Well done!
Nice one. I started off blasting everywhere and very quickly realising what I did wrong  I was hoping that I could cancel out my own bullets as well. That way it would require some practice instead of letting the bullets fade away which others have suggested. That will just motivate players to play the game at a slower pace.
Had tons of fun playing this and was terrible at it. If anything, I consider that a sign that the game has great potential. Loved the sheep! Well done!
That was just hilarious. Well done!
Fun game with great music! I'm not sure how to acquire any skill in this game though. Everything I did felt quite random and the best score I got was probably around 2600 the first time I played. But I still had fun! Well done!
While the game has an interesting idea the user interface needs some more work. There's a lack of feedback and sometimes collecting things just stops working. The bot was very cute!
What a stunningly beautiful game and the puzzles are neat too. The music is atmostpheric and nice but I think it could've needed a bit more variation, but for a 48 hour game this was amazingly good! Well done!
Interesting kind of game. I've never played anything quite like it, which is always fun! The music was great. Well done!
Really nice idea that was easy to grasp but VERY hard to master. I'm not really up to the challenge and get bored a bit too easily. So I would've liked the game to start off a little easier after level 1.
Nice idea, but I agree with you on the dragging feeling very tedious pretty quickly. I think @denvil is on to something as well. Try starting the game with a smaller selection and gradually build it up. I'm not sure what to do about the dragging though, maybe some kind of smart-snapping into place feature for the symbols? Definitely a freshly unique game!
Interesting idea. I think I understood the gist of it except the corner cells. Never seen any of those when I've defragged my disks  Just as someone else said. I also thing there should be more cells as well. But all in all quite a satisfying game to play. Well made!
Took a couple of tries to get used to the controls (I've never played a parkour game before) but it's quite a good game and the music was impressive.! Well done!
A bit tricky to understand some of the summoning spells, but that's sort of the point  I enjoy your sense of humour.
I think the idea is good here but it's really ambitious idea for a short game jam, so it just needs a lot more polish. Smaller map size, more animations to keep the player entertained and so on.
As others I had problem with the font. I thought the C was bracket, I had to come back here and check the comments. The idea however is excellent. So a bit of a cleanup and you've got a great game!
Fun to see that someone was else made a puzzle game too! The game is a bit buggy and it doesn't seem to reset properly when restarting. I liked the puzzle element combined with getting a feeling for where to place the doughnuts!
Reminds of "Defender of Crown", but in realtime. The game needs more feedback in UI and some more details, but that's for after the compo. Well done on a nice concept!
Very oldschool cool graphics. When I first found dino I was afraid it was going to turn into a flappy bird fiesta. Glad it didn't turn out that way. The music is a bit too repetitive for my taste, but with the time limit there's rarely time to make something that sounds good. Well done on making an enjoyable game!
Nice and simple concept, a bit frustrating when the player gets stuck on the other enemies and the game could start out with a few crystals spread out. However, I think the main idea is good.
Cool idea with the portals and I liked the graphics as well. I agree with some of the other feedback that it's not entirely clear in what direction something will be flinged or at times even if the rock will enter the portal or not. Figure out a way to make dumb people like me understand what to do and I think you've got a hit. Well done!
Incanting took some time to get a grip on but other than that, wow! what a polished game and the graphics where really great. Well done!
Not a very long story but quite satisfying. I think the rat killing could've been a bit more of challenge a bit of a stopper so that not everyone can make it to the end  That a side, nice game!
This is actually the second "light the lanterns" game I've played during this compo. This is definitely the one that was more fun of the two. The jumping and platform detection needs more work and the game is just a bit too easy. I love platformers and I like that this one isn't difficult, but it goes a bit too far in the other direction. Nice idea though!
Nice relaxing yet addictive game play. The music gets on my nerves after a while but I love the muttering and the humour in it all. Well done!
Clever to have images that match several words with the same character count. Really annoyed at first until I realised you must've done it intentionally  A hinting system that deducts points from your score but lets you continue would be cool.
Nice basic game but with the character switching it becomes a lot more interesting. I basically agree with most of the others, it needs a bit of fine tuning. Not just the mouse sensitivity but also subtle hints of when to switch and maybe more hints on where to go in the game. The hen collision box felt off even though it probably isn't.
Nicely balanced game difficulty. I like that the game was pretty simple to understand. Just attack, kill buy powerups and stuff with the loot  Quite addictive.
The game was quite fun even though there was minimal interaction but just like @the-lame-brain I couldn't really figure out how to summon a powerful demon
Great graphics and nice relaxing music. It's probably one of the best games I've seen so far. Well done!
Top notch audio and great game idea. This ones my new favourite! It took a while to get used to aiming with the mouse but I think that's just me. Well done!
Nice game and great graphics. I didn't really understand if there was someway to figure out where the crystals were or if I was just supposed to drive around, avoiding everything while trying to find them.
That was a very nice and relaxing game that really brought out my inner completionist. I just had to complete the game. Well done!
I've never actually anything quite like this. It feels like the game has a lot of depth in it that could take some time to figure out, which is neat, and the graphics style was really funny and enjoyable. Well done!
Quite a tricky game but well executed, Well done! The graphics need some work, but all the gameplay for a good game is there.
Interesting game concept but the physics need a lot of work. I agree with some of the others that the velocity needs to be reset when colliding or at least some type of minimal bounce to avoid making the player die so quickly. An interesting idea which isn't easy to do in a 48h compo. Well done!
Interesting take on a vertical platformer. Reminded me of "Rainbow Islands" which isn't a bad thing, we need more games like that  If you haven't played it I'd definitely recommend checking it out to figure out what to improve in your game.
Nice idea, it definitely needs more levels and actions, but the premis is there. Well executed!
I'm not much of a card game guy, so for me this was kind of confusing. The music was really exciting and fun and the card graphics were well made. I imagine that his could be quite enticing for someone who enjoys cards. A very well made game for a 48h compo. Well done!
Great graphics for the wizard, very nice. The dialogue was nice too.
Nice tactics game. Pretty easy to win at the start which makes is very addictive. Well done!
Fun story. The endgame needs a little more exitment but the rest is there at some level. Execellent compo game!
I loved this! I honestly thought that this was going to be really boring but actually works really well! Very addictive even when it makes me feel like an idiot
Interesting idea and the graphics look really nice! Well done! Some ingame clarification of what needs to be done would make the game a bit easier to just dive into, but the premise is pretty easy to pick up anyway.
Took a while to get that the circle hinted about the coming summoning. Other than that the graphics are nice, the music is catchy and I think the game pace is problem good but a bit too fast for me. Well done!
The character generation was really well done but some kind of combat or adversary or feedback on the creature created would make it a lot better.
Interesting concept. Some of the attackers got stuck to my player a couple of the times I played and the music is a bit rough. The main premise is good and the summoning effect is really cool.
The puzzle element was bit too complicated but I loved the mood of the game. Well done!
Clever game idea. I hade a hard time avoiding the enemies. I think that it might've been a combination of how suddenly they can change direction and the colours used. I've there was some kind of pre-warning that your getting too close to the enemy that would help a lot and improve the stealth aspect a bit.
Not much for card games but the humour and graphics kept me playing for longer. Nicely executed idea!
The screen is cut off in chrome so I agree with @mdotedot that it made it a bit too hard to figure out what to do.
Nice! I was thinking of doing something similar but ended up thinking "no that's just too much work" but you actually made it! The basic mechanics are good but I would've liked the ability to move along the surface to get a better overview. Well done! and again, it was nice to actually see what it was like without having to make it myself
Cool mechanic with the grapple but I'd need a few more practice levels before starting. I found the game way too hard. Maybe there's at trick too it that I haven't really figured out yet..
Reminds me of the old defrag view in Windows.
Very nice experience. I really liked how the platforming worked and how it wrapped around. All in all very cosy relaxing game with a nice mood and graphics. And quite unique as well. Well done!
Great game and pretty too! I would've like a bit more fluid controls when push the coco de mer around, but other than that I enjoyed it a lot. Well done!
Created a youtube video on how to play
https://youtu.be/hE49SqxG2Oc
Given how fast the game is it has obviously been mangled a bit by their video encoder
@endurion @6knowledge @island-jam-2-group-3 @pincushion Yeah. I think I might've made the first level too difficult. It really is a millisecond deal.. It might look like you're fine and then nope.. it was actually slightly too late  I'll have too make it a lot easier.
@infernaton Well done! I think you might have the best score! Also glad to see that someone made it past the first level
Very nice game. Relaxed and easy to play. It would've been cool with some alternative endings.
Nice graphics and a generally eery space mood makes for a good start. I think you should keep on working on this.
Impressive making a C64 game for a 48h compo. The game was fun but I found the controls to be a tricky. I guess I should try it with a joystick as well
Moody game. Looking forward to halloween are we? But it's still a nice little collecting game. Is there any way to fail? Or is it always just a matter of collecting more nuts?
Loved the otter. (Doesn't everyone? ) I wasn't sure what to do in the library though?
Very nice game and easy to understand what to do as well. The mouse capture in the web version is a bit buggy but other than that, the graphics were good and you really scary mood. Well done!
Really clever mini game for picking the mushroom! I started of expecting the game to be really boring but spiced things up just enough to keep me playing. Well done!
Quite an addictive game and like most of the other I enjoyed the audio and humour. At first I thought it was going to be a bit like "operation wolf" but the soul grabbing and competing demons really changed it up a lot. Well done!
Nice take and easy to grasp. I think the collision detection was a bit unfair, it could've been a bit more forgiving. Also it would've been cool to be able "slide" inbetween objects somehow as well.
I agree with @benjamin-gare. Nice collecting game put with an added twist. I think I would like to have a "preview" window like in tetris, showing the next item, or the ability to stash a collection to continue with it later but with certain limitation like only for a limited time or something.
The web build definitely seems broken.
At first I was expecting the display to show the objects at the same size as they were in the image but the fact that they weren't made the game a lot more interesting given the time limit. Well done!
Very nice looking game. I think there needs to be a simplified guided version for those of us that aren't really used to playing card games because it took some time to figure out what I was supposed to be doing even when the ingame instruction.
A fellow Raylib user! Well done on putting together a web version of your build. At the end of the compo I really didn't have the energy left to do that.
I've never been much for tower defence games, but this worked well for me. It's the second time during this compo that I've played a defence game in which there's also a protagonist that can deal damage as well. I think that might a really good thing for that genre. Nice graphics too. Well done!
Definitely my kind of game. We all know pacman and it's a great game that should be used as the foundation of other games more often. Had great fun playing this. Well done!
Accidentally did the same thing as @patatje  I would've liked some feedback on how much of the day is left some kind of highlighting when dragging objects so that I can easily see if dropping the object will start the crafting and so on..
Very interesting idea. I would've like to be able to get a hint somehow since I only got 12 out of 16
Nice moody game style and a reasonable amount of searching to find the objects which felt good. Well done!
So a bit of tower defence with some extra interaction. Not bad at all. Though I have to agree with some of the other that difficulty goes up a bit too fast.
The graphics were great and so was the music but the actually delivery was a bit tedious to say the least. I honestly didn't make it to the end.
Really loved your sense of humour even though the game mechanic itself was a bit hard to get used to.
Impressive game! Great humour, addictive gameplay and nice graphics. Some music and it would've been even better. Going to play some more now! Well done!
Tricky but not too tricky and quite an addictive game idea. Well done!
Liked the graphics. Definitely makes it stand out from the rest of the games. I think the collision detection needs a bit of work though.
That was a lot more addictive than I was expecting. Personally I found that I automatically got the "main" colour right when looking but I had to count the check the colour streaks several times.
Loved this game. Couldn't stop myself from laughing every time one of the sheep toppled and bounced away. Great game! Unfortunately I do have a quite short attention span so I would've liked to have gradually have built up to that many sheep. Say maybe start off by herding 3, and then get chance to herd more so I would feel a gradual sense of accomplishment? Still loved it. Going to play some more of it now
I'm really terrible at memory games so this definitely wasn't for me, but the idea is pretty good and you made quite a good game out of it.
Very pretty game. I liked the different bonuses that kept the game interesting as well. Well done!
Clever platforming game. Unfortunately I got stuck at no 7 and fell quite far. There just wasn't enough incentive for me to go all the way back up yet again.
Look good but it suffers from the same problem as many other card games during the jam. Those of us who don't play these kind of card oriented games really have no idea what we're supposed to be doing here. Is there a system to the cards? Is it random? What does stacking even mean? Is there a strategy I should be following  As I mentioned it looks great but my feeble attempt at playing doesn't get me anywhere in the game.
Sorry to hear that you couldn't complete it but well done in trying to learn how to make a game during game jam. That sounds super stressful.
Nice platformer. I liked the trash cans since they gave me a chance to start over when I messed up the level. Nice detail. Well done!
I though "this is going to be a quick game, it doesn't look like something for me" and instead I ended up getting really addicted too it. Just something about the emergency of switching the light signals before the cars exploded really got to me
That was surprisingly fun and relaxing at the same time. When I first saw the controls I thought I was never going to understand this, but it just clicked and worked almost right from the start. Well done make something really innovative for the compo!
Neat game. I thought the tutorial was good. I also found adjusting the filters to be a lot more intuitive than I thought it was going to be. Well done on a pretty cool game! You got the highest ratings so far of all the games I've tried.
Finally a cool and easy to understand game that still fits the theme. Well done! I agree with some of the others that some of the icons could need some explanation. Some catchy audio and this game would have had med hooked for ages. Well done!
Interesting concept. The graphics were really good as well. Well done!
Really got hooked by this one. The "story" kept me going and thankfully the game wasn't too hard either. Very well balanced for beginners  Enjoyed the music as well. Well done!
Nice and easy to pick up game but hard to master. A great game idea with other words. Well done!
Good idea with the focus. I was wandering about aimlessly first trying to just randomly listen when I was getting closer and that was way too hard, but with the focus thing it worked well. I don't mind that the levels were a bit empty. Not every game has to have things chasing after you. This was a nice relaxing discovery game. Well done.
Nice idea and it's initially a bit complicated to grasp. Some the icons could be a bit more explanatory. I derailed a couple of trains because I didn't read the tutorial text properly
Cool mechanics and the audio really fit the game, Very polished. Well done!
Nice idea. I like that the game is rather forgiving and allows you to win even with as much as 92% chaos  I'm not sure if there's a bug, but if I clicked on a planet without having any ship to send, it seemed like I got stuck there until some other ship return with resources which triggered it to switch screens.
Nice stylish graphics, the car drifts a bit much as others have mentioned, maybe add some kind of indication of how much grip the car has at its current speed? Also the collision box for Dracula seems a bit off. I could've sworn a hit him 3 times with the beamthingy several times only to get no reaction. The music and sound effects are really cool. Well done!
Very polished game that looks and feels really good. Obviously more levels would be fun but this is a 48h compo so its understandable that its short. Well done!
Cool idea. This is only the second "pre-record the commands" kind of game I've encountered so far and this was definitely the better of the them. The list of commands is easy to understand and I naturally got a better idea of how far you could go in different time periods during the game. Well done on a interesting game!
I'm going to have to agree with most others. The controlscheme needs revisiting to make the game easier to play. The actual random level design and graphics are great and the music sets a nice mood.
While the game idea was nice and the "light" feature was cool I found the placement of the platforms to be quite random so I had a hard time trying to remember were things were once the light faded away. I guess I'll get better at it soon. Well done!
Clever idea but I would like some feedback when pressing the keys in recording mode to make it a bit easier. Like maybe showing how long I've held a key down for or something easier like a progressbar.
I agree with most of the others the sounds design worked very well. The enemies were a bit annoying and it felt ok that they don't follow you around corners, as it would've made the game too hard. Well done!
Nice enticing story got me hooked and I really liked the graphics stile when scanning the surface. I'm glad you included a hint button because it would've taken me ages to reach the end otherwise
Cool display but the game was a bit hard to grasp. A nice tutorial on how to setup loops etc would've been nice, but I really like idea and story.
Cool game. The knobs were a bit sensitive and I agree with others that the volume changes could be a bit jarring at times. But I love the idea a the graphics really fit perfectly. Well done!
Very nice atmosphere. The graphics when showing the sonar image could not a bit of polish but are fully functional. Really great job on the audio effects. They really captured the atmosphere. Well done!
Nice atmosphere you built. The terminals looked really cool as well. The game was a bit too textheavy, especially during the tutorial, for my liking but its still a good game.
Interesting concept. Loved the glorbles but I don't think I understand how to wind the game?
Nice graphics, well balanced gameplay, the only thing missing was some cool background music. Great game!
Really pretty graphics. Even without the morse code the game was a bit of challenge after a while
Nice game with fun levels. Though I felt it was a bit harsh that falling on the spikes just once, the first time I encountered them ended the game. Old school hard  Other than that a very enjoyable simple to understand game that with polish could become a very interesting real game. Well done!
I think some kind of feedback mentioning why the score is going down would improve the learning curve for this game since many of us are sloppy readers  Otherwise quite a fun game. Well done!
Pretty difficult game. Nice mood and I liked the the sonar effect. Pretty cool!
Really cool deciphering effect. Reminds me of the move Sneakers  The game was quite pleasant to play as well. So nice presentation and an interesting game. Nice work!
Nice game. I really liked the art. Simply but very effective and the first time something started to move I jumped a bit  The beat gives it really good mood as well. Well done!
Cool game. This might be the third or fourth "control robots by sending pre-recorded commands" game I've played during this jam but this one is more interesting with the multiple robots. Really enjoyed it. Well done, especially knowing this was your first game and game jam
The game looks great but I couldn't make any sense of the controls.
The game looks great and I think I made it to the top, but I didn't really understand what I found, but that's just me being stupid  The text was a bit blurry and hard to read and I sometimes missed them and so them afterwards. But you got med hooked. Just hade to keep on going up
I think this has real potential. The lights could speed up or change randomly or you could view them through some kind of colour filter. Nice idea. Well done!
Okay, that was hilariously funny. Loved it. Perfect graphics and perfect for the theme. The game was a bit too hectic at times though. The signal would only stay focused for a second and then it was time to randomly flail the mouse around the play area
I like the wifi-style signal feedback and the game idea in general but I doesn't feel natural that the character can't walk around while checking the signal, but I guess that would probably make the game too easy
Cool a fellow colour combiner game. I liked the way that colours are selected with the handy onscreen display so I didn't have to remember any combo. A bit of polishing and some cool particle effects while drawing would probably turn this into a fully fledged game. Very nice!
