Tropical Shaman Ultimate Carnage by Drakncel 2018-12-04T20:36:10Z
Nice game. Very hard to complete on the first run due to the traps appearing - but I guess that is a part of the game.

Nice game. Very hard to complete on the first run due to the traps appearing - but I guess that is a part of the game.
@wsKilljoy Thank you, the relation to the theme is in the end :) I have linked a YouTube of a playthrough of mine.
Very nice concept! I completed a pacifist run :)
The game worked great!
Some random thoughts; - The difficulty could ramp up quicker - The GUI elements on the bottom covers the enemies - Great artwork - Enemies could be themed by their element instead of carrying a symbol over their head
I liked the exploding barrels and stopwatches!
Great art and music. For me the gameplay was very confusing. I did manage to make some progress after a while though :) The game worked fine on my machine (Windows). Nice to see other engines than Unity being used.
I liked how the light revealed the level. You could use polygon colliders for the spikes instead of box colliders. It was hard to jump over them when the colliders where square whilst the spikes were triangular.
@sode Learning how to make a mobile game fit all screens will be a nice challenge for me for the next game. In the 9:6 resolution, what issues are there?
Great mood and graphics! I placed a beacon on the far left and far right and spammed robots. That seems to be the best strategy .
Worked like a charm, and great music! With some knockback on the zombies, shooting and hitting them would have been even more rewarding. Also some kind of boss or endgame would have been nice - I did not know what to do with all of the 'BP' after getting the shotgun. And also - nice dialogue system!
Great mood and graphics. The game was extremely fast on my machine, it was not humanly possible to dodge the asteroids. Or maybe that is by design and you are a Jedi.
@owlycode Here is a video from my machine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xU1NwQHPMzQ
@OwlyCode The new version works great. Really intense gameplay - I was afraid to blink when navigating the asteroids :)
I'm not sure I would call this a game as there is only one outcome - rather art. It has a great message regardless. It worked well!
The game worked great! Here are some thoughts - Enemies spawned inside of me, they could have do with some animation to prepare you so that you can move out of the way. - Great graphical style - The most optimal way to play the game was to stand still in a corner. I would like to have been required to move around.
The game was not able to start, see screenshot. No ratings given. FatGuySim.png
UnityLoader.js:3 Invoking error handler due to Uncaught RuntimeError: memory access out of bounds

Wow! The parts about giving up on things to reach the goal was genius. Especially the stars!
Very nice, I liked that they tainted the nature :) Managed to defeat 18 of them. It would have been rewarding to have a sound when you hit them.
@kiddy - Thank you :) Yes there is a bug that you have to release a direction key before you press the other one. I did not have time to fix it. But maybe bug fixes are ok to publish after the deadline. @doomshmuck - Good point, however this is a mobile game, it is not indended for PC - But most people will not install the .apk; which is why i published to webGL.
@anthony-pengelly Thanks :) Yeah - I should have added some indicator when plants receive fertilizer. If the bag dissapears, they ate it. It is not possible to 'miss'.
The game is now available on Google Play Store https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.FlightlessGaming.Vegetablist
Sweet game, I really felt the stress of raising children :D Good thing they all made it.
Nice concept. I like the music! Had some issues with the marble moving behind the camera.
@fachscahfttf Yes - the robot controls similarity to a Segway - it tries to keep upright on its own. I have uploaded a video showing how to play the game in case you are curious.
Nice one! This gave me flashbacks to docking maneuvers in Kerbal Space Program. The controls for such maneuvers are similarly confusing here and in that game, but that is a part of the fun. I ended up waiting for more donuts to spawn, which was not super satisfying - they could spawn as soon as there are none in orbit to increase the pace a bit.
Nice use of dialogue systems. And I managed to save the guy!
Nice concept - I have not seen anything quite like it before. If there were more levels I would still be playing. The abstract graphics worked well.
Extremely creative! This will game will rank high. I liked the explanations placed next to graphical elements.
Solid gameplay and I liked the graphics. Some kind of progression would have added a lot to the game.
Great physics, I liked the floating and bobbing platforms. I agree that the bullets were unforgiving, it would have been nice to have the camera zoomed out a bit so that planning jumps and avoiding bullets was easier.
Super solid game! I managed to finish it on my second try :v: As others have commented - some kind of warning/visual effect when you are close to reaching critical instability would have been helpful. I'm impressed by the audio track - great work on that.
Interesting concept! I made it to round 42. It took a while to figure out the mechanics.
Made it into the leaderboards on the third try  The variation of the building blocks added to the fun.
Good work. Great into and scene transitions, and I Love the knight. The puzzles could do well with some clues - as I did not understand that the objective was to destroy the wall.
Impressive for a first compo game :) I managed to juggle 15 plants, until it got too intense for me. I see in your code that you had plans for watering as well . That would possibly have added some variation into the game. Beautiful 3d models!
I got all the upgrades and collected 500 eggs. It would have been cool to have some kind of ultimate upgrade to strive for. Otherwise great job on this one
The second grim reaper made me jump when it appeared  Great mood
@dilem @frederikja163 Yes - that could have been made clearer :) It is when the text is bright white and bold on the left hand side that you can click.
@a-chill-lemur @fireslash Thank you for the feedback - I took the liberty to add explanatory text in the game now. It should hopefully make the experience a bit less confusing
That Orca really caught me by surprise  It managed to gobble down the whole snowman squad. Great atmosphere, and impressive menu system.
Good work on this one. Solid execution! As previously mentioned - animations would have added a lot in terms of understanding where the cars were headed from/to. But I understand that it would have been quite time consuming
I loved the city-building aspect. I would have played many more times if some of the progress carried over to the next round.
Good job! I was fully immersed in the game. Which is rare for gamejam-games  It was stressful not knowing much about how the items were meant to be used, but that also brought me back to how adventure games back in the days worked. You would try every item with every situation to figure things out
Great polish for a 48h game! You even had time for some Easter eggs :) The web version worked well for me.
Good work on the high score list. It made me replay the game multiple times. I ended up with 296s (name: 'wow') It got easier after I figured out Cloud Shepherds movement patterns :)
It took quite a while to understand what was going on, but I managed to finish the game  Nice one - the game loop felt good!
The game worked well! I managed to survive, as the end text said - tough working conditions for those who fail at the job apparently. I felt bad for all the journalists whose stories I had to leave out
Wow, impressive for 48 hours dev time! Soo much running until I understood the game mechanics
Nice one, it worked well! The tank design reminds me of Battle City, a game I have fond memories of .
Wow, those were some hungry sharks! The game worked well! I liked the 10s air bubble concept.
Nice graphical style - it had a great arcade game feel to it. Also the enemy flying patterns were satisfying. Aiming was a bit hard, but I made it to the end
The game worked well - I tried hard to get 5 items loaded on the same ship, but failed . My best score was 110.
Wow, really polished with the leg movements and screen shake. :ok_hand: I liked it! The drone movement patterns made them feel alive.
Cute little game  , I liked the design of the health and mana bars.
Nice tower defence game! Keeping the critters from the core proved very difficult.
Loved it! It was really fun to master the patterns! And amazing graphical style. Got the hammer
The game worked well! 125 gifts wrapped - it got real intense in the end. Innovative game mechanic with the method for wrapping!
I got 8763 - maybe to due to RNG  It was stressfull that the enemies grew stronger and the gun got weaker. Good controls
Nice one! Really hard, I was rarely able to dodge the shots . I liked the graphical style.
Nice concept! 192s was my best run. Reading the cards whilst the enemies were attacking got real stressful
The game worked well! Cute viruses
Loved the menu system  very innovative! Got really busy when three blocks started dropping.
Soo rewarding with the constant upgrade selections  I was really enjoying myself - too bad I finished it.
@slantyoj Hmm - it works for me, Windows/Chrome - which browser are you using?
Nice puzzle game! Took me a while to realize that the output of the harvested had to be above the storage
Impressive that you managed to create such an intricate system is such short time!
Cozy game! Nice text animations in the intro  I reached level 5 - at which point it got a bit repetitive. Would have loved to be able to spend my money on anything, even if it was purely decorative  I'm impressed by your achievement, and welcome back to Ludum Dare. I hope you will be able to take part in the next one as well!
Wow, impressive amount of content for compo. Fun core gameplay with drag and drop of water and fertilizer
Nice concept! Way to hard for me  Nice color palette!
Nice job! I liked the use of the secondary camera
I would have loved more levels, which is a testament to good game design  The simplistic graphics added to the experience  - it lets your brain fill out the details.
A real feelgood game, until the slugs attacked :worried: I liked the setting and humor  Good job, I enjoyed it.
Nice interface design with the floating popups
I agree that the minimap feature added a lot to the game  I like games like this where you save up money for progression  I made it all the way to the cannon
Nice mechanic with the monsters looping back around when they are pushed off the map, it suprised me the first time
That was fun to play! I would have loved to be able to use the scrap in some way  Score 8150
It looks fantastic - you really captured the CRT look  Gameplay wise it felt a bit like a walking simulator.
The interactive novel offers a compelling and immersive way to explore these types of challenging issues that, regrettably, continue to impact numerous lives around the world. By drawing readers into the narrative, you effectively foster a deeper understanding and empathy, prompting further reflection on these complex societal problems.
It got super hard without the lines. Good job with the physics, and feel of the game!
Nice atmosphere! I love the concept - I had some issues as others have mentioned. But the gist of the game is great! Would definitely play it if it was developed further.
Wow that got hard fast, 1672 points  Well executed! I like the graphical design!
Good job with the animations! I liked that the clouds got darker until they struck.
You have satisfied Banana  Great concept of getting friends in crates to help you. The feeling of running around in a gang of eight was great
Nice little game, it worked well - except i got stuck in corners a couple of times. But that could have been due to my driving skills
Quality animations! Questionable ending
Flappy bird and Elastomania had a child  Nice work - hard but not too hard to control.
I got nowhere near your highscore, but still enjoyed it. I liked the altitude 'minimap'. Having an indication on where the drop points were could also have been a nice addition.
Oooh, I really like the bobbing heads - not sure where my nostalgia for that comes from tough. Really well polished, I enjoyed it!
Nice one, I like this type of game. The drone was not really impacted by the weight of the cargo - adding that aspect might have made it even more interesting.
I also had some issues with being killed by invisible enemies  Otherwise the game worked well. Nice one!
Great design! Both audio and graphics.
I have no idea how the other people playing got such high scores  To me the game felt a lot like "Getting over it"
Cute game! Good job. I agree with others that the truck felt a bit too heavy - it made controlling it hard.
Stressful until you figure out the pattern in each level  Nice puzzle game!
Nice graphical design! I was not sure if the goal was number of total stars, or average rating. So I did two runs - one trying to get the best rating, and one trying to get the maximum number of stars
Nice one! The game got interesting when one was required to open the boxes as well  On my last day I managed to classify 13 boxes  More progression would have kept the game alive longer.
Really impressive physics and graphics for a game jam game!
Nice one! Very challenging - reminded me of Super Meat Boy.
It was very skill based - especially the archer - for this type of game, which is refreshing. Impressive complexity for a game jam submission!
I really enjoyed this one and kept upgrading my ship until there was no challenge left  Great concept, I have not seen a similar game before.
@ellaris Thank you for the feedback! The ice does shrink, each bite takes a piece away from the ice sheet. The challenge lies in how long you dare stay before leaving.
Cute game, I liked how you changed the light depending on the biome - You managed to add a lot of polish into the game with such limited time. Good job
Nice one! It was easy to get greedy after many successful fights - it was my demise
I have never before seen a combination of "Getting Over It" and "Snakes & Ladders" Super innovative! Also rage inducing - but that comes with the genre. Superb graphics.
Great atmosphere! I really liked the car lights leaving trails. 22.8s - by spinning out the AI
I love laser mirror games, such nostalgia. This one was very well executed - but I agree that timing was short on the double-hit levels. Superb art style!
Cozy game! I enjoyed it. It was easy to end up with bad pieces though. But maybe that is a skill issue
I like the style, it gave me a flashback to Super Cars II. The car however felt a little bit too explodey  - or perhaps I was a bit too impatient.
Good job, I found it really enjoying and would have kept playing for much longer. Lots of potential to extend on this type of game.
Space drifting is super fun! Until you over estimate your drifting skills, and kill your fans. Lovely graphical direction!
I must have spent half an hour collecting wood  Very enjoyable.
The game worked well! It could have done with a fast forward button - there was a lot of downtime.
Skärmbild 2023-10-18 234431.png 38 Parcels delivered! Quite stressful  Nice job on the game, it worked well.
Impressive amount of functionality for a Compo! Well done. Fun addition of the "R" animation
Fun game! 3200 was my best, after a couple of rounds.
Wow, it is so very cute! Great job with the graphics!
Nice one! I felt like i was playing with four dimensions  I think I almost made it through level 1. The character was cute
Skärmbild 2023-10-19 001448.png
Wow, so many nice objects. I'm not sure why the shower cabin is in the main room - I might not be a licensed interor planner.
Nice one, i can relate to the feeling
154 points! Good thing i practiced rapidly pressing buttons in Track & Field on the NES. Nice job - quite stressful
Impressive amount of features and quality of graphics for a compo! I was not able to complete the game due to science buildings draining their durability super-quick - the shield did not seem to protect from that.
Nice use of shaders!
Skärmbild 2024-04-29 213509.png
Good one! I really liked the turret upgrade system.
Skärmbild 2024-04-29 205953.png
Impressive for a Compo! My minions sure liked sitting on top of each other - cozy!
I was not able to figure out the dependencies between the towers - but I liked the "shadow of war" for the unexplored areas - it added a lot of atmosphere.
Oh that was stressful  Cute game! It was really hard to plan due to the random items.
Cute game! Impressive that you have language and sound settings!
I got flashbacks to Startropics.
Such nice text effects!
Skärmbild 2024-04-30 211920.png
A very enjoyable experience! Would have loved for my troops to follow me or similar, but I understand that some of the puzzle mechanic of the game would have been lost in that case.
Skärmbild 2024-04-29 204929.png
Nice consistent graphic style. My time was 44
Super creative! I almost reached the top on the last level - but the cubes had a mind of their own
Nice one! I really like this type of swarm mechanics, if one can call it that
I almost felt bad when my robots raided their homes  It was hard to defend the radars, I guess that is why one should keep a few robots on hand.
Skärmbild 2024-04-29 210917.png
It worked well! Cute little creatures, too bad they all somehow fell into the void :smirk:
Beautiful - it captures the stressful lives of butterflies
Skärmbild 2024-10-07 171258.png
Super solid game. Both frustrating and fun!
Great atmosphere, I got flashbacks to rescue rangers on NES  rr.png
Oh no! :no_mouth: Cute game!
Victory! Games like this where you can stack power-ups are so satisfying! Nice graphics!
644m! Super polished for a compo - well done with the immersion (screen shake and such). I also enjoyed "Faster!"
Skärmbild 2024-10-20 213406.png
The 'let it pour(?)' upgrade was fantastic. I ended up with almost no cooldown time. I had fun! Nice one.
push.png
Cute game, I liked having to figure out the game mechanics without much guidance - it added to the mysterious feeling.
Skärmbild 2024-10-07 010708.png
I really enjoyed it! Both challenging and fun. I'm impressed that you reached this level of polish in Compo - well done!
Soo cute and well made  I did get slightly nauseous from the parallax, not sure why.
We don't talk about the Roomba incident  Great atmosphere!
Half of my events turned out being bugs wanting to join, such a friendly place! Nice one!
Great mood and graphical style. I liked the variation of creatures!
Great mood! I agree that the can collection game loop gets a bit repetitive. I'm impressed by the music and graphics!
The boss took five attempts, but it worked out in the end! Skärmbild 2025-04-21 224711.png
I really enjoyed the game loop - very satisfying to break the nuggets!
The controls felt very submarine - like :ok_hand:, and the mood was great.. I also liked the sonar effect. The 'bad' fish did not feel very intimidating - they felt kind  I liked the narrow natural passages more than the grid like passages in the end. The latter felt man-made, which was a bit out of place in an exploration game. Good job!
Skärmbild 2025-04-19 171723.png I am Dorf King!
Very enjoyable! Upgrade mechanics are so fun.
Nice mood! It took a while for me as well to understand how to apply the upgrades. Hectic!
Wow, impressive puzzle. Really cool to involve infinity.
Cute game, and easy to understand! 😊 I agree with earlier comment - that when only a few are left, it would be helpful to show hints about their location, to avoid frustration.
I enjoyed that very much! Nice and relaxing game!
Wow, that was hard - I also encountered quite a bit of lag spikes that killed me. Not sure it that was only on my end. Realistic black holes, that you cannot get away from if you get too close
I really liked it, nice one! Good dialogue and such cool graphics. Skärmbild 2026-05-07 222734.png
Wow, very creative with the gameplay of decoding. Really unique and interesting. Skärmbild 2026-05-07 194139.png
That was fun (and frustrating)! I did not feel super clever after rotating the same piece five times. Good job!
Skärmbild 2026-05-04 133855.png
02:53  Wow, super polished and fun. Great animations and overall feel.
I enjoyed the visual design. The game mechanics seemed a bit random, but I see potential.
Really impressive to go with your own engine. And the game was well executed and fun!
Skärmbild 2026-05-04 132955.png
I was hooked! The cost of relays required mid-game(?) did not scale well with how much money one made - even with all the upgrades unlocked. Regardless I found it enjoyable!! Skärmbild 2026-05-07 190954.png
Banana, Strawberry... I do not understand alien  I agree that it would have been nice to not having to write things down on an actual paper, when it was already written on a paper in game. So that one can cross reference easier. Nice one! I like the mood.
Victory! I tried attacking them from behind, and in the end our fleets had switched places  Nice one!
Very polished. I like the cute / stressful combination
You win! :v: Well executed! I did not figure out that I could change the black dot into a color until the last map. Nice puzzles!
Lots of fuel left! Simple and fun! Skärmbild 2026-05-03 165018.png
I was unable to pick up any signals, but had a nice sandy walk! Nice graphics!
The face in the sky added a lot of stress  Very moody!
Welcome to LD! It took a few tries to understand, but I got the hang of it. Good job! Skärmbild 2026-05-03 162903.png
Clicker games are always satisfying  I did not fully grasp the concept, but it is an interesting take to combine idle games with fail conditions
