Very cool!
I'm so sorry i didn't mean to hit you with the hammer TT_TT XD nice little puzzle game, certain interactions made me laugh!
Not sure how, but at some point I managed to smash the coffee cup into the scientist, destroying both :D
I got stuck on one puzzle, at 1:54 in your video. I still don't really understand why the hammer is repeated while movement is also on repeat, but it works. The rest had a good build-up of learning new things and I had to give the final puzzle a few attempts before solving it. Also, I would like to restart the level without clearing the punch card. Sometimes I just wanted to try something quickly but then I had to recreate my sequence again. But that's just a small detail.
I enjoyed my playthrough, good job!
@frib > Not sure how, but at some point I managed to smash the coffee cup into the scientist, destroying both
Lol, this confused me at first but the one thing I can think of is you must have previously picked up the hammer and it's still stored as being held.
> I got stuck on one puzzle, at 1:54 in your video.
In this case the first repeat is for the hammer, the second is for movement. Repeat works a bit different for these actions though and it's not really explained properly. While repeating the hammer, "repeat" won't stop for non-wall obstacles (nails, coffee, the scientist), but only after encountering a wall.
> Also, I would like to restart the level without clearing the punch card.
Yes this is the main thing I would like to add. Might add it for a post jam version.
Thanks for playing!
Nice puzzle game π
Really good puzzle game! The difficulty curve feels just right, and it feels satisfying to reuse what you learned in earlier levels. Also, messing up and discovering that the robot can crush the scientist with the hammer was really funny. Like others have said, it would be nice to be able to restart a level without clearing the punchcard, and the interaction between the hammer and the repeat action could use a bit of explaining, but other than that it's a solid entry. Great job!

Great automated puzzle game ! Very good audio (sound effects and music) that leaves room for reflection, while also being of high quality!
this level was impossible for me without the walkthrough
Great game, play it yourself if you havent yet!

(the twist where robot kills its creator is impressive, I know it isnt a part of the plot but its certainly the significant part of the player's expirience. SICK part)

Managed to reach the ending! I fully expected the last level to feature you hammering the scientist but he can live another day *I guess*... a.png
Anyway, this was a lot of fun! It had way more levels & features than I expected which I loved - picking up the scientist was such a cool twist, I never thought to try it! I think my favorite level was the one where you had to bring him to the coffee instead of the other way around, felt so clever once I figured that out. And solving a few levels first try was super fun as well! Also uh, I swear I'm not a violent person despite bringing it twice, but I immediately & intentionally hammered him the second I got the option - sorry! But that's what you get for enslaving the ~~common~~ robot class. Anyway, moving on, I liked the graphics here as well, all the little animations especially added a lot of polish! I honestly don't have much feedback (except the hammer repeat confusion at the beginning others mentioned already), this felt really well made, great entry!
I really enjoyed this! Feels like baba is you mixed with human resource machine. Loved playing the whole thing, this is really awesome.
I don't know if you ever played Robo Rally, the board game, and I get there's no arena combat with glitches, but this gave me the vibes of that old board game. I liked it. The whole experience is pretty well done. Great job!
Cool game, graphics are clean, mechanics are simple yet clever on late puzzles
Well done in 2 days
@roroto-sic tips
!>you need to repeat the use action before repeating the move right action
This game really reminded me of a project I've "been meaning to work on, but I've been too busy". Seeing you bringing a similar concept to life during a short game jam is a bit of a reality check on my own project. π
It's a really nice and clever game. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I played the JAM version, so I don't know if you've already addressed these "issues", but I think having level numbers visible and having both a "full reset" and "back to start, but remember my instructions" would be great touches. One time I had just entered one movement instruction too few and I had to redo the entire set of instructions. Another time, I realised I had one too many "move left" instructions, and I would have liked to just enter one extra instruction in the middle, but I had to undo everything after that.
With some polish, this would be a great little puzzle game!
You should promote this game for the divulgation of computational thinking among kids! There are similar games out there, but the mood is great :D
@xedur Yes, those features have been added to the post jam version. Also added level numbers!
The fact that the cursor keeps moving forward when repeating "use", but not when repeating "move", feels a bit counterintuitive.
Other than that, really fun game! Love the mood and the robot and doctor graphics. It's a nice, fun puzzle game!
Really nice puzzle game with great progression in difficulty! Good thing I had practice from the tabletop game Robo Rally π I got stuck on level 11 for a good while. The walk-through was helpful for that one.
Super super polished little game! I thought the design was quite clever and clearly show a lot of potential for adding more objects and interactions, I could easily see myself playing a full game on this idea. The graphics and sound are also quite nice, and the main mechanic felt super snappy and intuitive. The difficulty curve of the puzzles was also really well constructed, introducing each mechanic in a very seamless way that made the puzzles more enjoyable to solve. Overall I really loved this entry! Good work, thank you for the game! :)
great game, i like it! i would be glad if you rate my game
I love these sort of puzzle games, reminds me a bit of a turn-based Chu Chu Rocket (Dreamcast) or Brat (Amiga). Really well thought out puzzles, would love to see this extended, woud make a fantastic mobile game to play on my commute.
