LD54 — Limited Space

Mental Space by pauljs 2023-10-06T17:27:54Z

I found this game to be really deep and intense. The overall narrative really hit me, as a person who deals with anxiety and mental illness everyday. It's such a hard thing! Loved the way you have expressed it, both narrative and gameplay experiences were really great. It's bitter like life could be, and is very impressive how much real this was. I tried to get a good ending but didn't managed and this actually made me question if there is even one. Gotta say, a really really solid game. Congratulations for the work!

Justine Time by abcdef65g 2023-10-06T18:00:05Z

A really cool idea! Loved the system with the different time velocities, a really creative take on the theme! The title screen art is really cute, and the art itself was nice. It really made me care about the little animals going in the road to death ;-; Really cool concept. I think maybe the controlls are a little too slipery, and the game would benefit a lot from having more friction in the movement. Also the colision were a bit confusing in the edges, which made me get stuck when i tried to climb the ladders in some parts. But the overall experience is really interesting! I think that with a little more polish this could turn out to be a really cool game for even more than just the jam :) Nice work!

Seagull Island | L'île aux Goélands by Seb_degraff 2023-10-12T01:31:11Z

OMG! Sooo relaxing! I could play this the whole day easily! Quite impressive how many different objects you manage to put in the game, the overall atmosphere is just so cozy. Loved the music, the art, the title screen in wonderful! Really liked you game, great work!! :)

MoveMasters Limited by WilloXs 2023-10-17T20:30:36Z

Nice entry, I liked the overall concept! :) the idea of getting prompts and decorating the room goes really well together and i found it to be a curious take on the genre! The music was really nice, gave the game a really cozy vibe! I found a little hard to play, since the game uses the mouse wheel and I don't really use one normal mouse, so maybe you could have made it possible to scroll by clicking or having a little sidebar, but thats a minor thing :) I couldn't find what the gaming chair should be, unfortunately. But really nice work! :)

Comfort by Anper 2023-10-04T14:15:31Z

I found the concept of the confort zone to be really interesting! Yet i found it a little bit slow, so the rithm of the game Is a little troubled by that to me. I think this could really benefit of a fastest rithm, made like a core precision platformer or something. But very cool! I loved the idea of integrating the main menu in the game, it was really cool and the tutorial is amazing :) The music gives a good vibe too and the movement of the character is fast and responsive, really liked it! Good game! :)

Inside the box by Animaster 2023-10-12T02:00:04Z

Oh, I really liked the overall vibe of the game! The start cutscene is really impressive and helps to give the atmosphere a really curious mood! I loved the art overall, is really cute, the colors are so good, quite crispy! :) I found a little bit hard to have to hold the directional button to be able to take the ticket, or giving the box to the character, but this was a minor thing. Is so hard but yet so funny! The idea of picking the box and putting a ticket to it is so tactile! Really strong concept. Finally when I was getting a little better at it, the game unfortunately crashed :( But overall really good work, congrats!

Antigravity Cat Orbs by John Saba 2023-10-03T21:36:12Z

I gotta say, I liked a lot the concept, though i felt a little dizzy playing it. Music is wonderful! So relaxing. Really cute and felt really warm feeling through it. :)

Threshold by Diralf 2023-10-05T00:17:11Z

Wow! I really liked your game! The ending really got into me, its really beautiful! Loved the mechanic also, is really fast and there's room for a lot of cool uses to it! I think some music would give the whole experience a lot more intensity, but it was really nice to play it. Very short but yet indeed very powerful! Great game! :)

A Better Place by SvenErik 2023-10-05T09:56:09Z

The art is really great! Loved the little raccoon on the title screen. All the little objects are really well done too! Loved the audio design, all the sounds are very satisfying to listen while playing! Great entry :)

Special guests by 1257th or nothing 2023-10-05T00:47:11Z

Super fun game! I didn't manage to get through the "tetris" level in no way, died like 10 times lol, but i'll for sure try it again later! Really simple concept, but the music full of energy as well as the fast gameplay really got me! :) really nice work!

One Earth by TheMiSta92 2023-10-06T12:53:57Z

I really liked the idea of a small city building! Is very brave to do it in a jam, since is such a complex genre to make! The overall vibe is very good and i really loved the sound design. Makes a very good mood. That said, I found very frustrating to take and place itens, since there is no inventory system, so this made me keep rounding and rounding around the world to find spaces to put things down. I found the collisions to be a little bit weird to, which make even harder to do it. But yet, i trully think you have a great idea here that could be expanded and polished to create a very nice game! Loved the small art too, really good job!

Though I Walk by AdamCYounis 2023-10-18T03:20:25Z

I still find this concept really impressive! Very polished and impressive entry. Loved the overall vibe, the animations are so smooth and the sfx interrupting the silence really ads a lot to the vibe. I found a little bit hard to get the controls but was a really cool experience, I can totally see this being transformed into a full fleshed game, feels there is a lot to explore in this idea! To watch you doing it on stream was a wonderful experience to had while I was working, I got completely desperate when Godot started to fall apart lol Really happy you managed to make this great little game! :)

Castaway Crisis: build or perish by Achiliuus 2023-10-04T13:54:51Z

I really loved the mood and I gotta say, the music is OUTSTANDING. The audio in general creates a super interesting atmosphere. Kinda remembers me a little idle game called Peter Talisman: lord of the Harvest, which I love very much! The art is cute and I knew I had to play since the very beginning when I saw the spirited away reference on the title screen. Yet it is a little bit rough in some pieces like the trees. Since there is no pathfinding system, I found moving the character to the right spots a little difficult, but I think you have a great game here if you could polish some of those things. Nice job! :)

Setting the Stage by Baconeta 2023-10-03T22:08:33Z

Really nice idea! Loved the plastic way you could try to combine so many instruments, really funny. Didn't manage to get good scores, though, seems like I'm a terrible stage manager, lol! Really liked it :) Congrats on the submission! :)

Burn Beetle by Pious 2023-10-03T22:13:22Z

Seems cool! :( unfortunately it doesn't open to me on the html5 link.

Quetzals & Ladders by jkyd 2023-10-08T01:53:47Z

Thats a very impressive and quite cool concept! I really think you got something here that could easily be escalated into a more robust game! The mechanic is really good, the overall vibe is pretty interesting, the sounds are really pleasant to hear! Also the level designs are quite good and you managed to create quite an impressive soft and well balanced difficulty curve, something that is really dificult to manage in a context of a game jam, good job! Really nice work! Congrats!

Winds Of Pilgrimage by Medow 2023-10-04T09:43:50Z

I really liked the vibe! This pixelated filter is really beautiful and atmospheric. The music also really got into me. :) I tried for quite a time but just couldn't figure out the puzzle. But a really curious mechanic! Great job! :)

Sheep in Wolf's Clothing by ottos 2023-10-17T20:01:29Z

Omg, the art on this little game is soooo cute, gorgeous!! Really loved it! :) I found some of the texts hard to read cause they skip automatically, but overall fun text! :) Great entry, good work!

PukuPuku by Gnum_ 2023-10-06T18:35:31Z

I really loved the mood of this game. The lil crab was so cute, and seeing him jumping around and grabbing things was really sweet. I didn't manage to free the claustrophoby, since the last furniture were all buggy here and broke the game all the time i picked one. And then i got stuck in the rocks trying to find one, which is sad cause i really liked the idea of the game. It was extremely relaxing and i really think that with a little bit more polish and bug fixing would make it really cozy and great. That said, nice work and congrats for the entry! :)

Past by Chii 2023-10-05T00:29:39Z

Quite a mooving game. Loved the music and the overall atmosphere! :) Since I really love idle games, the experience was really cozy to me, got a cup of coffee and enjoyed the vibe while feeling really sad for the good memories that were gone. Really nice! :) Congrats for the entry.

leaving the nest by WeeFairyFabi 2023-10-11T00:09:27Z

I really loved this little game! The art is sooo cute and the little comments are so funny. Loved the overall atmosphere and felt the space to be sooo limited (lol)! I just wanted to put everything inside the tiny house and eventually realized wasn't possible lol. Really lovely game, great entry! :) Congratz!

Bert the Introvert by Achilnos 2023-10-03T21:51:25Z

I found the concept a curious take on the pac-man system! Really curious! Though I wasn't sure why I was losing by hunger like 3 times in a row :( Cool game! Congrats! :)

Box of Squingus by leckert 2023-10-06T13:46:05Z

Is a really inventive gameplay, very inovative! I really liked the level designs, I can see you have put a lot effort in to creating very interesting ones with the concept, which is very fun! I found the controls with holding the space button to be really unintuitive and slow down the overal experience unfortunatelly :( I had a lot of deaths because forgo to hold space of stop pressing it. I think this is a game that would benefit a lot using a joypad with two analogic sticks, one for each purpose, I would really love to see it like that, yet I completely understand that in a gamejam context is not good to limit the controls. At the end, I found your game to be so creative! Really love the art, the system and think is a concept that can even be take further and make it into a full fleshed game to sell! :) Really great job!

Six Floors Under by maxededo 2023-10-17T21:00:44Z

I really loved the art and the overall vibe! The music is pretty funny and all the elements of the UI are really well done! Quite impressive for a game jam! I love the concept of the sokoban mechanic in this theme, a really curious take! I missed a little the option to use an "undo" button, like in baba is you, since I made a ton of mistakes by confusing the buttons even though i had found the solution to the puzzle. Yet i found it to be a quite polished and really fun experience! Well done, really nice work! :)

STARCHILD by konfekt 2023-10-08T01:16:25Z

The writting in this game was really something, got me quite involved and after all, sad. I really liked the way the gameplay creates a rithm to the story that makes everything feel a lot more poetic and lonely. Really cool idea! Congrats for the entry, and nice work!

Escape The Walls by purplexy 2023-10-06T12:02:07Z

Pretty nice game! :) I liked very much the atmosphere! The text really hits me and make a deep vibe with the soundtrack, wich i found to be very pleasant! The level designs were pretty inventive too, yet the one of the platforms over the green thing made me a little frustrated, but I managed to pass through it and was a really good experience! :) Congrats for the entrie, pretty cool work!

Cats In Space by ldkuba 2023-10-06T16:57:02Z

I gotta say, I really loved the game! The overall atmosphere, the simulated gravities and the way the cats jump between the planets are all so cute and beautiful! I found it to be a really relaxing experience and the controllers are also pretty responsive, which made the overall experience really pleasing! :) The only issue i found, and its a really really small one, is that in the middle of the game the cats were jumping themselves into the home planet, and suddenly the number of cats that were left jumped to be a negative amount, which I found to be a little bit weird, but still doesn't affect the experience itself, that is very good! :) congrats on this really nice entry!

Pack It Up by GameDevJeroen 2023-10-06T18:59:13Z

oh my god, this was sooo funny! Really loved the concept, and the fast iterations make even the harder levels maintain the rithm. I found it to be pretty fair level of dificulty in the whole game and an overall really fun experience! Pretty nice graphics and sound also, it creates a very polished experience overall. The idea could be easily expanded to be a bigger game. Really nice work!!

Room Life by Hinamarina 2023-10-03T22:18:23Z

@adele-illustration Thanks for playing! I'm happy you liked it! :) So bad it bugged for you, sorry. At the end of the 3rd day it was suposed to happen a little cutscene and she staying in the bed for a little longer. Maybe was around this point :/ I'll take a close look, since here seems to be fine. But thanks for playing and huge thanks for the feedback!

Room Life by Hinamarina 2023-10-07T00:21:25Z

@sashunyar Thanks a lot for the comment! I'm happy you liked it :) Right now I'm truly without any socialmedia, since I'm rebuilding them from skratch. But I'll soon use "@hinamarina" both on twitter and bluesky to post my stuff, you can already find me there, but not started posting yet :) Hope you could see more in the future, and a huge thanks for the interest!

Room Life by Hinamarina 2023-10-19T22:35:21Z

Oh, sorry if it didn't worked for you! @emma-ge Can you tell me what went wrong? :( Did it bugged or simply didn't started? Even so, thanks for the interest and for the feedback! I deeply appreciate it!

Tanuki Trouble by xett 2023-10-06T13:17:23Z

The art is soooo cute! I just loved the overall vibe of the game! The controls also are really fast e smooth which i really like for this kind of game :) The dificulty curve i though to be a little abrupt in the second level, but after some time i managed to pass through it and found it really fun! :) Really loved the game. A small and cohesive experience with really cool level design, great job!

FELL OUT by daveranan 2023-10-04T10:54:53Z

I just loved the artstyle! Remember me a lot of both night in the woods and a short hike, which i love very much. Really funny text and I loved the ending cutscene with the lighthouse! Some of the colisions with the trees were a bit weird and there was some invisible walls on the islands because of that, which was just a little annoying, but overall the experience was really funny! :) Great game!

Expedition 32 by onionlabs 2023-10-18T02:46:09Z

OMG This was sooooo scary! Really impressive entry! I was really surprise when saw that the game is made by some names I follow for such a long time! Love your works already, and this one is definitely really well done! Being someone with a very bad memory it took me quite a few turning back moments to remember the patterns lol But that really added to the overall experience! The art is really polished and the audio is top notch. I can totally see this idea being developed into a full fledged game! The only thing I would change is the repetition on the same pattern in some areas, that made the end game a little faster, but thats definitely a small thing, specially on a jam game. Really great work, loved it!

LD55 — Summoning

Rex by MateusBoga 2024-04-30T03:08:31Z

The ammount of work in this entry is really impressive! I've played for quite a bit and still feel that I just scratched the surface. I really liked the idea, and the art was quite good! :) the overall vibe remembers me some of those old medieval crpgs, i really love the mood. I got a little confused with the mechanics and some pieces of the gameplay, and the UI really made me feel that I should be able to drag it all the time, but those are really small things.

In the end my kingdom was decimated by plague and I was completely smashed at war, but had really enjoyed the experience of doing so lmao XD

Gods of the Forest by Dan Allison 2024-04-30T02:53:04Z

bug.png

unfortunatelly I got stuck in this screen after talking to the dog ;-; I jumped over the whole screen when i touched the air spot beside him :(

Well, I really liked the vibe and the art, the music was pretty good, yet a tiny little bit loud to me, so I had to turn it off eventually. The running speed also was really really fast, wich in the beginning i found a little bit weird, but the overall feeling is quite juicy and i ended up liking the velocity! Overall I really liked it! The art is cute, i really loved the colors, the fading atmospheric perspective in the trees on the background remembers me a lot of some SNES games that I really love! :) Great work!

Evocation by kanity 2024-05-03T22:15:47Z

hello!! :) i finally got to play your game! omg, that was so creepy. Somehow I got the human ending, but for sure I'll try to get the others. Thats a really impressive amount of work, in the context of a jam, it's like a really full fleshed little game. I really loved the sound of this game, it made the atmosphere as a whole to build up a lot. The art is really engaging too, really loved the creppy candles animation, beautiful and yet mysterious! :) really impressive entrie, I loved it! Good job!

Latte and the Last Summoning by Hinamarina 2024-04-17T21:53:12Z

@kanity oh my god ;-; I'm really happy to see you around here again! Your comment really moved me! I probably overscoped too much the project and in the end the result was so far away from the initial plan that I couldn't put it as finished. It was suposed to have a small story where she was gathering those ingredients for summoning her black cat familiar, wich would happen in the house level at the end of the game. I even made a piece of the animations but didn't manage to implement. :( The bird also should had a whole cutscene, and in the end the level designs didn't got the amount of care I was hoping for.

I'm really happy that it manages to convey something for u, even in the current state! Thank you so much for playing it!

Goodzilla [Sega Master System] by Samuli 2025-04-11T01:34:39Z

WOW omg, thats an impressive solid entry. And to be done IN C is a crazy achievement! god, is really super bold to submit an authentic master system game in a gamejam, and as a lover for retro games myself this I deeply value this artistic drive :) I really loved the art and the sound design overall. And you got me so surprised with this game that I have nothing to complain. A super cozy and cute authentic lil thing, I'm full of joy for having played it. Great game! Keep up the good work! :)

Abgrund by Ace17 2025-04-14T11:09:17Z

WOW! This was a hugely impressive entry! I really loved how intricate the level design was. Felt to me like a meeting between Megaman X and Metroid, and this was a really really great thing! The sound design is really great also, I specially loved the way the sound is affected by when you're inside the water, this made the overall mood be soo imersive! The controls are really good, even thou i wish a little bit of buffer in a coyote time, specially in the jumping over those timed plataforms, that took me quite a while to overcome. The presence of other biomes impressed me so much! And the way the levels are connected is quite clever, really loved that!

I wish the the hitboxes were a little bit smaller, sometimes, specially when swimming, was a little dificult to avoid the spines (since a really small touch would kill me).

All that said, its overall an impressive entry, with a crazy amount of polishing and a really great gamefeel. The jumping animation with the megaman x movement made me feel really great, since I deeply love that game.

Great entry! Keep up the good work and thank you for the game!

Europan Expedition by Liam 2025-04-14T11:29:27Z

A really relaxing experience! I liked a lot the flow that is created by the slow movement together with the soundtrack. Unfortunately during my playthrough, in the fourth day I didn't began with a waystation to deploy, and because of that I didn't manage to get the good ending. But I'll be sure to give it another try later! :)

Overall a really chill experience, with a super cute pixel art and nice audio. Thank you for the game!

edit: I forgot to mention that the fullscreen didn't worked here. Maybe you forgot to set the strech_mode in the project settings.

Minion No. 1067809362 by ZuhairGhias 2025-04-10T03:12:50Z

Really cute entry! :) I loved the overall vibe. The level of the personality test really made me laugh quite a bit! XD The controls feel quite good, I missed a little bit more of coyote time, but since the levels are not super hard this didn't affected much anyway. Having a button to die is also quite interesting as a mechanic also XD even though I didnt get to use it for more than just fun. But overall i really liked your game! The writing is clever, the bossa nova sounding on the background is really funny, the art is super cute and it feels good to play!

Keep up the good work!

Sammich Snatcher by Stacy Davidson 2025-04-11T11:01:28Z

I really loved, and LOVED, and loved the overall vibe of this game. You really nailed the mood of the old arcade games and it is really a delight to play because of that. I've tried for so many times but didn't manage to beat it yet, tho :/

I think my biggest grip is the absense of a coyote jump, or even a more floaty jump. In the old arcade games, to handle with this they used to make jumps that were a little bit more floaty and longer, so it was easier to be more precise when you jump around. But since your controls are very crispy and fast, and gravity strong, it became really hard to jump precisely in the platforms without a buffer to not fall in the edges of the platforms or while jumping over the ingredients.

All that said, I really liked a lot your little game. It is super cute, the art is full of charm, the music is super catchy and it really evoque the ancestry with the old arcade ones quite well.

Overall a really great entry! Thank you for the game! :)

Cubethulhu by Flying Dog Fish 2025-04-14T20:39:21Z

Quite a curious lil platformer! :) I liked how smooth the controls feel, his very floaty jump made me feel like using a paraglider and was quite fun to the jumps. Make the absence of a coyote time be quite okay, since this floaty jump made the precision of the jump be good to the player! I really liked the feel. The difficulty was quite on point for a jam in my opinion.

I wish the camera was a little bit more stable. Most of the time it moves too much and quite fast, which made me a little dizzy :/ The soundtrack is good, make the fast mood be quite energetic. The sound efects are juicy, to take the coins feel quite pleasing :)

Overall a solid entry, good work! thank you for the game.

Diva Descent by Quackqack 2025-04-13T10:11:29Z

Super nice concept! It feels to me like a Downwell meets Flappy Bird, in a really cool way! The sound effects are so juicy and the overall vibe is super nice! I enjoyed a lot how the general feel of the game is. The only super small thing that got in to me is that I found the bluish tiles in the background to be a lil bit distracting, making me confuse them with the foreground when the speed is very high. All that said, I really liked a lot your little game! :) Super funny, quite crispy controls and full of juicy. I love how the music contributes a lot to bring more energy as the velocity goes hard. Great entry! Keep up the good work! :)

Dyamid by leorean 2025-04-15T21:16:58Z

WOW! An absolutely oustanding game, with a crazy amount of polishing. I almost cant believe this is a jam game, it could totally be a game on steam at this point! The concept is really good and the execution, oh god, the execution is an absolute delight! I am completely astonished by the amount of clever level design and usage of the mechanic! A great great great feat, super neat game. I couldn't stop playing, even though I'm not a big fan of puzzle platformers, but this one have such a great flow to it!

great great great game! Thank you for making it!

Depth of field by sver 2025-04-10T07:19:23Z

Quite curious concept! I really liked the idea of getting in and out with the depth of field, it opens room for quite some level design ideas! Is overall a very nice game. I wish the controls were a bit less slipery when jumping, but i really liked all the pieces so far. Great work! :)

Dig Digger by Transkuja 2025-04-09T11:41:30Z

This entry is really really impressive. I really liked this take into something like Dome Keeper, it was a lot of fun to see it in a much more rythm game structure! :) Unfortunately, there was a bunch of stuttering issues with the game here, and even some fatal errors that just crashed the game for me :( But the overall time I was able to play it i got a really fun experience! Good work! :)

Undercity by Monado 2025-04-10T03:34:51Z

quite cool entry! I really liked the character design. The screen distortion with cromatic aberration when she attacks makes the attack animation really juicy, quite nice! In my first playthrough, unfortunately I fell into a hole and got stucked there, since the jump was not high enough to get me out, so I had to restart.

I really liked the atmosphere and overall vibe. The soundFXs are really full of juicy here. The bar is quite cool! Quite a cool game overall!

Slip Stream by Profugo Barbatus 2025-04-09T11:26:48Z

The art here is absolutely outstanding! The animation key frames are so well done, I really loved the character design and the overall perspective of the place. Is a very cool concept for a game with this kind of character control, and I think is overall done pretty well. I really liked it a lot! :) Really super solid entry! Keep up the good work!

Hooked by mira 2025-04-13T10:22:25Z

Super relaxing lil entry! I really liked the idea of pumping the oxigen while swimming down the water, make it for a very interesting experience! I liked how we can swim faster as the distance gets longer, creates some kind a flow that made the experience really relaxing to me. The art is quite charming and the overall gamefeel is nice! Great work! :) Thank you for the game.

Timmy's House by GroseilleDodue 2025-04-15T20:04:27Z

Wow, the cutscenes of this little game are outstanding. The keyframes are so solid! :) Really liked the overall mood, a very scary experience! The pathfinding system had a little bit of trouble when you position yourself in a diagonal distance from the enemy, with a wall between you and him. I did this twice to avoid him and he got stuck there for the rest of the playthrough. All that said, is a great entry with a lot of mood and a really impressive art! Liked it a lot! :) Thank you for the game!

Hellevator by MrManGuy 2025-04-10T07:46:18Z

Super cute little game! I really liked the concept. Can see a whole big game revolving around this idea of getting up and down on an elevator. I really liked the experience so far and the art is super super cute! :) Good entry, very nice game! Keep up the good work! o\

Piton by Bea 2025-04-15T20:46:16Z

Cool concept! I think the vibe and the overall mood is quite there, yet in the gameplay perspective I wished for a little more things to do. The art is super impressive, specially the animations. They have quite a sense of weight which is very hard to convey! really good job. The music is very atmospheric, yet it was a little bit loud to my ears and I had to turn it down quite a lot here. The camera maybe falls too slow in relation to the character, which since the gameplay is quite simple, cause the loop to be a little monotonic.

All that said I think is an overall nice entry with a impressive art and a really cool idea! :) Thank you for the game!

Lockpicks-11 by suvi 2025-04-10T07:37:52Z

Wow this was a really fun game! I loved the way you used the camera and shaped the screen, gave so much vibe to it. The soundtrack is also really great, has a lot of swing and contributes very much to the overal mood. I really loved the concept, and it is super polished for such a short period of time. Really great work! Thank you for the game.

Layered by BridgeOnAStick 2025-04-14T11:15:57Z

A really really nice usage of the theme! :) I really liked the idea of jumping over the parallax layers, and the sound effects integrated to the movement made it felt really great!

I wish the game were a little bit bigger, but I can totally understand that because of the time constraints of a gamejam! Overall I really liked the idea, feel there is a lot of potential in it. Thank you for the game!

Mousehold by NBumgardner 2025-04-09T12:07:00Z

A super cute idea! I really liked the art here, and the sound effects are absolutely well done, it makes everything feel a little bit more alive. I really like how juicy and fast the sound of the mouse traps, make passing through them really attractful even with the danger of getting smashed XD the same thing for the cat paws.

I think the levels repeting over and over is a little bit sad, though i understand this feels more like the how deep you can get kinda of game, so to me is okay! I got almost to the 30 until I got caught in a mousetrap (that i couldnt resist to try).

Really cool entry, good work! :)

Call from the depths by pitivie 2025-04-10T04:06:19Z

Quite a cool game! The idea of creating a platform with your own corpse, and making your several deaths be some kind of thing that help you is really really interesting! The way you introduce it making the first jump impossible is also quite clever level design. The art is very nice and a really love the color palette, though I had some troubles to diferentiate the spines from the walkable ground sometimes. I really like when you droping down very fast, feels very nice to do it and the soundtrack is quite chill! I wish his movespeed was a little slower, tho, it felt a little hard to jump in the floating skull sometimes cause the character just moved so much in a small touch;

I really really think you have something here! Is quite a clever mechanic, really nice entry, quite good work! Thank you for the game! :)

HIM(1).Locked by fosf0 2025-04-10T02:54:24Z

Super clever game! I really love how juicy the interface feels, the sound effects really contribute a lot to the overall vibe and the music is super atmosphereric. I really liked it overall, reminds me a lot of Her Story. Unfortunately, I've tried everything but couldn't get past the lil poem. But really liked what i saw. The small pixel art gifs for videos is SOO CLEVER. Its a really great entry! I would really give it another try later :)

Reclaim You Soul by Kobato Games 2025-04-14T12:44:50Z

I liked the concept quite a lot! :) The idea of taking piece by piece of your abilities have potential to bring a lot of clever level designs! The intro cutscene is full of charming, i laughed quite a bit when he just fall to hell XD The controls are nice but it took me quite a bit to figure out that I should jump and crawl to reach a little bit more of height.

All that said, is quite a nice lil game with a really charming cutscene intro and quite good controls and design idea! :) Keep up the good work! :) Really good to see games made in Gdevelop in the Jam! :)

SLITHER by slimetrash 2025-04-14T12:34:19Z

A crazily interesting concept! Indeed rage quiting inducive XD I myself wanted to rage quit many many times XD. The graphics are nice and I really liked the controls, yet I wished a lot for more save points in the more complex levels. Felt like me as a bouncing version of something like Jump King. Quite juicy in the controls and the small sound effects are quite nice! Good job, overal quite a solid entry! Thank you for the game!

Into The Mousehole by Baldurs 2025-04-14T20:46:56Z

Wow! I think of all the iterations of the infinite falling mechanic, this one is my favorite so far! You manage to make it feel very fresh and full of flow with the idea of using the velocity to kill the enemies, and this together with the dash made for a super nice experience. The controls are quite responsive and the sound effects contribute so much to bring a lot o juice to the gameplay! The overall experience is quite addictive, I couldn't stop playing!

The art is really cute, I loved the lil cat, I love the intro cutscene with the falling block. Overall a super solid entry, super polished and very clever usage of the concept! Congrats! Keep up the good work!

O.R.B.I.T. by robin_schmitz 2025-04-11T01:16:41Z

Quite interesting concept! Is really nice when you just travelling around and get a lot of speed, makes it a really enjoyable experience! I wish sometimes that you could control the camera instead of the player, since I got lost on space without any planets when was trying to get back to earth some couple of times. Its overall a really nice game! the visuals are quite crispy, the concept is really interesting and theres a lot of run for a very nice kinda flow! Nice work, thank you! :)

Explodicaves by ThatFirey 2025-04-11T02:19:21Z

A very solid entry with super polished controls. The game mechanic is quite interesting and have a lot of flow to it, and with the music make for quite a hypnotizing kind of gameplay. Really nice work! I wish there was a way to play it fullscreen in the webversion. Since there was no fullscreen option neither here nor on itch, i keep clicking outside of the screen and ruining my shots ;-; mainly in the boss fighting, which make it super difficult to handle.

All that said, I think is overall a quite great entry. Super impressive controls and a lot of character. Good work!

Pogo Dwarf by NTMalichi 2025-04-15T20:18:35Z

This was so interesting! :) I feel that the idea was quite curious, yet super hard (I gotta confess that I eventually fall from up there and rage quit it XD but will for sure give it another try later). The idea is quite nice, very juicy! I wished there was a way to snap the amount of force to jump (maybe using a right click). having to handle the force and the direction at the same time is quite difficult (but i understand is also a skill issue, tho XD).

I overall really enjoyed the experience! Quite a funny game and very polished! Keep up the good work! :)

Deep Dreamers by Hinamarina 2025-04-09T11:02:25Z

@oadt Thank you for playing it! I just uploaded a build for windows to handle these input issues. Thank you for letting me know! :) @Dandee Thank you! :) I'm really happy you liked it. @ntmalichi I run some troubleshooting since this was not happening here at all, and I think this is just happening in the html5 version, specially if you use wireless keyboard/gamepad. Not sure the reason, but i think is related to performance. So I just uploaded a windows build and there it should be fine :( I hope you can give it one more chance! Thank you a lot for trying it out and letting me know about this issue!! @sonnybone your comment really made my day! :) You cited two of my favorite games of all time, thank you so much! :) @nuelijarma Thats for sure one way of playing it XD. Tbh I myself sometime feel this desire of just letting her be safe. Thank you for playing it! :)

Deep Dreamers by Hinamarina 2025-04-10T03:39:59Z

@sleepyfikou thank you for reporting the issue! This is really getting to me, since I tested a lot here and never experienced this bug, not really sure how to reproduce it. But will take a look at everything once again, thank you very much for playing it! :)

Also thanks so much for you all too @chloew @papaye-dodue @kamile-v @tomas88a <3 :) Really happy you liked it!

Deep Dreamers by Hinamarina 2025-04-10T04:55:45Z

@nobongo I just uploaded a updated webversion and windows build to see if it fixes this issue. :( Thank you so much for playing and for your feedback!! I had some mechanics with the lil girl but unfortunately they didn't make it to the final cut because of time constraints :/

Deep Dreamers by Hinamarina 2025-04-10T22:23:40Z

@jkyd Thank you very much for playing! :) thats curious, not sure why the bullet texture not showed, I'll take a look for sure, thank you a lot for the feedback!

@kartoffel-licht you mean the infinite jumping exploit using the shooting state? haha I was excited to see if someone would find out about this one XD Its totally a feature! Really happy that someone found it! :) thanks a lot for playing it!

Also thank you so much for playing for you all @verttixpertti @fernofai @cluster7ck @is-a-hatbox <3 super happy you liked it! thanks a lot.

Deep Dreamers by Hinamarina 2025-04-13T09:55:56Z

@sn4pi Thank you a lot for playing and for the feedback in general. Unfortunately, this is still breaking my head. I'll be sure to take a look in what you sugested! :) I can't see how that could be a problem, since I only apply gravity when player enters the jump state here, and it is being calculated in terms of the parabolic trajectory. I'm suspecting to be something about the input itself, cause I already reviewed the jumpcode quite a bunch of times :/ Would be easier to solve if I was at least able to reproduce the bug, but it just doesn't occur on neither of my pcs :/ Anyway, really thank you a lot! Sorry for the mess with the key XD Hope your keyboard can recover from that XD

-------------------------------------- huge thanks for everybody that is playing and giving feedback! I'm reading each one of them, is a pleasure to have you all playing my lil game ;-;! Thank you!

--------------------- @very-dark-lord The idea was quite that! I think the effect is close to a sin() since it fixates a period to loop throught the animator and I just change the amplitude to affect the velocity. Thanks a lot for playing! :)

Deep Dreamers by Hinamarina 2025-04-14T11:03:14Z

Thank you so much for playing @lllarso @baturinsky @paulhocker :)

I had planned to integrate a lil' more the idea of carrying her around, but didn't got to put it on the final cut because of time constraints. Right now I let it be just more about the flow, but for sure is a concept with much more potential than I got to explore within the Jam interval.

Thanks a lot for the feedback! I liked all the suggested ideas and some of them are already on paper for a possible post jam version! :)

Deep Dreamers by Hinamarina 2025-04-14T15:59:28Z

@ntmalichi I'm so glad it finally worked XD I was breaking my head over this thing, had to try several different fixes. Thank you so much for trying it out again! About the infinite jump exploit, I am aware of this one since an early playtest, but I also enjoyed so much to explore it that I decided to let it be XD I was wondering if someone would find it eventually, you're the second to comment about it and it actually made me really happy! Thank you very much :)

@oadt Thank you so much for trying it out! I'm so relieved that this one got fixed! :) Really thank you!

@jona-scheidig your comment made my day, thank you so much! I'm super happy that you liked the idea! I'll take a look into the soundfx one later :) Thanks a lot for the feedback, for the kind words, and for having played my lil' game! :)

Deep Dreamers by Hinamarina 2025-04-21T23:37:57Z

@kobato-games Thank you for giving it a chance! :) You need to use your shoot in the vines to remove them and be able to pass. Its D in the keyboard or X if you're using a xbox 360 controller.

Deep Dreamers by Hinamarina 2025-04-23T15:49:17Z

@mavvy Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm super happy you liked my lil' game :) Your comment made my day! Really thank you!!! :) :) :)

Thats a really curious entry. I really liked the music, the small touch of the high hat in the drums is so delicate and brings a lot of mood to the overall sequence. Is a very atmospheric game, and the text also reflects this a lot! :)

I wish there was a little bit more of interaction, tho. But the sense of place and atmosphere was really there! I think that for sure there is more to be shown of those people and this place, really interesting idea! keep up the good work! :)

Slugy Down depths by Nanamaki 2025-04-12T11:35:57Z

hahaha! I gotta really say, I liked this so much! Is a lot funny, I laugh so hard about the crabs in love and the smoking crab. Felt quite sad for killing them XD

The idea is so so so simple, but is quite well executed. I liked some of the ideas for the level design, and the idea of using the double jump as the weapon is quite clever! There's a lot of juice on it too, which made the gameplay have a really pleasant flow. I loved the pixel art and the amount of secondary motion you put into the animation, it created a lot of character for the girl, super charming! I wish the hitboxes were just a tiny bit smaller, tho. Sometimes i died just when I was shooting them and it broke a lil bit the flow gave by the fast motion.

Overal a really super funny entry, I loved the art and the overall vibe. Really great entry, thank you for the little game! :)

Mariana's Secret by Tirtstan 2025-04-12T11:23:53Z

The art in this little game is really gorgeous, we can really see how much craft it took to put it together, and just itself already made the experience enjoyable for me! :) I agree with all the others about the lack of sound design, which could contribute a lot for this aesthetics. Like creepy sounds of the ocean. All that said, I really think you should be a lot proud of all you accomplished here, and is actually quite creepy already when you really go deep down and the light is scarce (to me that struggle with talassophobia it was really quite a thing XD).

I really liked it, thank you for the game! :) I'll keep on watch for the post jam version.

Deep Chat by iphelf 2025-04-11T10:28:41Z

I wasn't able to do it right not a single time ;-; even doing it for quite some time. That said, i really think the game idea is quite funny. I loved so much the overal vibe, the music is absolutely cozy, really great. The art really evoque quite a deep feeling for me. It felt so nostalgic and warm. Really powerful entry, I really loved even though i couldn't estimate the lenght of a single message ;-; I could be trying it all day.

Great game, thank you for the game!

Plumb Bob Rescue by ehmtang 2025-04-14T11:41:27Z

A really fun and cute entry! I laugh quite a bit with that one guy that says he's not bob XD Its quite an interesting take in the angry birds slingshot control! The graphics are quite cute and the music has a nice vibe to it. I didn't understood exactly the purpose of the wires, since I always pressed space to get rid of them.

All that said I really liked it overall! The cup of hot coffee in the end made me feel really chill. Great entry, keep up the good work! :)

The Truth Lies Beneath by pacome 2025-04-09T09:02:00Z

Quite cool concept, i could totally see this being developed into a bigger game. To walk fast through the levels was quite satisfying, and the controls (even if a little bit confusing) in the end felt quite responsive.

Overall very solid entry. The music was quite chill, and the game was juicy enough for keep me trying over and over till the end. I wish the tutorials were just a little bit easier to read, since you're running fast through the level, to stop to read them felt a little bit counter intuitive.

Really nice game! Quite a interesting work overall :)

Mewnion café by yvaine 2025-04-11T10:18:45Z

Thats a super cute take on the hidden cats game! quite polished and visually apealing! The art is great and the sound effects make the experience really chill. Super relaxing to listen to the cats meowning around. I quite like the feeling and the overall vibe. Super solid entry :) Good work!

Miner by basekeet 2025-04-10T00:39:46Z

Wow, thats a very very solid entry. I really liked your take into a deck building game, I could totally see it being turned into a bigger game. To dig in your game is super fun and juicy, it has a really nice kind of flow to it that really made me a lot engaged with the game. Is specially nice when you hit a nice combo and start to dig it all around super fastly.

Super nice game! Keep up the good work! I really liked it a lot! :)

Orb of the deep? by is.a.hatbox 2025-04-10T02:04:46Z

Is an interesting game, feels a lot like a puzzle. It took me quite some time to pass through the second skeleton, since i wasn't sure how to fall slowly. Is really brutal when you got back to the beginning all again, cause the stealth kind of gameplay makes it a little slow to pass through. All that said, I really liked your take in the genre. It feels really interesting and the controls are quite curious. The pixel art is super cute too, and as someone who really likes hard games, it feels super challenging to pass through :) good work!

DepthOctopus/万章深渊 by baizeQwQ 2025-04-14T11:58:44Z

I really liked the overall vibe! The art is super cute, specially liked the parallax background, that contributes a lot to the mood of the game!

I think the controls felt nice and the impuse generated by the dash is quite juicy, maybe i wish it could have a nice sound effect to agregate to this feeling?

The spines are a little bit hard to spot, maybe they could be in a more vibrant contrasting color, like yellow. I touched on them by mistake quite a number of times.

Al that said, I really think is quite a nice lil game and you should be really proud by what you achieved! :) Thank you for the hard work!

Wishing Well by Stef_Studio_7 2025-04-14T21:03:00Z

I quite liked the game idea! The feel of playing with a coin is super curious, made it for a very unique experience. The part of the level I most like is when you placed various bats together, and the game feel got some kind of pinball flavor! I think there's some potential in the concept, overall it was a really nice experience! :) thank you for the game.

Spirit Lock by Brian Russell 2025-04-15T19:43:25Z

Quite cool concept! Remember me a lil of super paper mario or fez, where you change dimensions to see pieces of the world that you couldn't in the initial one. Really cool and cleverly designed. I liked the level and the progression had a lot of flow to it. The atmospheric background music also contributes a lot to the construction of this flow and mood. A really nice idea and quite well executed! I really liked it!

My only little thing is that i found quite difficult have to walk, jump and change dimensions all with the same hand, not very troublesome, since the game didn't required precise control of the platformer traits, but yet I would find more confortable mapping some of the keys to the other hand, or having a second option to move using the arrows. But I completely understand thats a matter of preference too :)

Overall a super solid and clever entry! I really liked it! Thank you for the game!

Cavedude by field-of-king 2025-04-10T01:32:35Z

I loved everything about your little game! I honestly think you should make it into a bigger one, this mechanic has a lot of potential! It felt for me like Celeste meets IWBTG, and it really feels great! There is a lot of juicy in how the controls are fast and responsive and I can feel a lot how meticulously crafted were all the level designs, creating this really great flow. The music is also quite good and the pixel art is really charming!

I didn't manage to get through the whole game (even after a whole hour of gameplay), but I really loved overall to the point I got (i think the 5th screen, but maybe i lost the count XD).

I wished a little for a bit of time in a coyote jump to make things a little bit more fair, sometimes I felt that i was losing a lot (speacially in the 3rd level, that took me much more than the others) in this few frames ;-;

Overall, a really solid entry, very clever level design, nice controls e super cute pixelart. Really great! :)

Lift by Mikan 2025-04-14T12:21:14Z

A quite clever sokoban! :) Had a great trouble figuring out how to handle the magic, but it was overall a really pleasant experience! Super simple and elegant! The art is quite nice, I only missed a soundtrack to contribute a lil to the mood. But was a really nice experience! The puzzle designs were really good and the controls were very crispy. I loved the effect of the gravity working on turns, that was a wonderful idea!

Great entry overall! Thank you for the game.

Where it Ends by cherrybcake 2025-04-14T21:12:34Z

suuuuuuper juicy gameplay. I really liked it a lot! The sound effects are awesome, and the overall vibe is super nice. The art is super nice, i really liked how well saturated the colors are, make the contrast between light and dark be really strong and it contributes to the overall sense of being lost.

The text slowly passing in the screen as you fall made the experience so atmospheric! I really loved this touch.

The game is super hard, but is so pleasing to try it again that I kept playing over and over and over! :) A super nice entry, very polished, really good for a 1st entry! :) Keep up the good work!

harvest the valley :) by chloew 2025-04-09T08:41:04Z

Is a very interesting game! I really loved the atmosphere, great contrast! I think is quite a thing to try out a farming game in such a short period of time. As someone who really love them and had tried some things with them, they're quite challange to handle! I really liked your take :) Loved the music and the crt shader really contributes a lot for the vibe.

Maybe the controls to me felt a little bit slipery, probably cause the girl walk quite fast and everything is so tiny! But is overall a very solid entry :) Quite cute and creepy.

Depth Bound by LRDJJ 2025-04-11T01:49:34Z

Super nice entry! Controls are really polished, and the idea was quite well executed. I really liked it! :) The overall vibe is also quite good, the only thing that happened to me was the soundtrack stoping from playing after sometime, and I kept listen to only the sound effects, which took away a piece of the fast vibe that I was enjoying so much, but still was really enjoyable.

Quite good game, nice entry, keep up the good work! :)
