Really cute! I especially liked the space background. Found it oddly relaxing to launch myself into space and see how long I could go without hitting a planet.

Cure cat game! I love how vast the world feels and how fun it is to fling around. Not sure if I will manage to find all 250 cats though 😸
Very cute aesthetics, really love the art there and the music fits in quite well. One of my cats got inside a planet somehow when launched and others managed to pass it luckily, I guess he wanted to dig a bit. On the more critical note, it does get a bit tedious, perhaps 1-2 additional mechanics and some fancy bounce sound and the relaxation can continue on and on. Superb work on it though! :smiley_cat:
That was calming. The music was chill and the art was unique. Great work.
Thank you all for the feedback :)
@svenerik We did have a little bit more planned, but unfortunately time was not too kind to us ^^' Thank you for the feedback though :)
So relaxing, I was drawn into the game. I love the graphics and the music, it's so soft
Cute and cool concept. 250 is toooo many cats to collect for me, but I gotta admit: I do want to see what 250 cats following all at once would look like :joy_cat: :. If the player could move faster, perhaps achieving the dream of a large posse of space cats would be in reach for us mere mortals! Also I think the game would get a boost from some meow sfx, and some more variation in landscape (spacescape?)
@themejmun Ahh.. any chance for one post-ludum update, or a small tldr of what was planned? Piqued my interest :smile_cat:
unlimited space, hehe
This game took me by surprise. I have to admit that I was judging the game before I started playing and didnt think I would like it at all but as soon as I started playing I fell for this game. I have two cats and maybe that makes me biased but I really enjoyed my time with these space cats. I wonder if there were any hidden surprises I missed. Great atmosphere. It gave me a sense of discovery and wonder. Chefs kiss. Meow
very chill and relaxing, i enjoyed it! i found that i liked watching my line of cats drift through space and seeing where they would end up a lot. i also really enjoyed that other cats are still be jumping through space as well, it was so cute watching them fly by. the music definitely helped the atmosphere too. nice job!!
I dont have Windows, me have mac(((
Nice relaxing game to get lost in. I was just relaxing collecting cats when I suddenly saw I had -20 remaining XD. Maybe would have been nice to add a little victory pop-up or change the text at the score would be nice.
Also love the art for the home planet
Really cool game! I love the orbit and varying speeds of launch :)
Cute game ! I like the physic of the game ! Graphics and sound are nice too !
Very interesting concept. Might work better as an arcade game with a time limit to collect the next cat, but this gameplay style is a lot more Zen!
space cats!
i really like what you did with the gravity and the background looks fantastic
I gotta say, I really loved the game! The overall atmosphere, the simulated gravities and the way the cats jump between the planets are all so cute and beautiful! I found it to be a really relaxing experience and the controllers are also pretty responsive, which made the overall experience really pleasing! :) The only issue i found, and its a really really small one, is that in the middle of the game the cats were jumping themselves into the home planet, and suddenly the number of cats that were left jumped to be a negative amount, which I found to be a little bit weird, but still doesn't affect the experience itself, that is very good! :) congrats on this really nice entry!
@svenerik the semester just started for us so unfortunately probably not :( although I’d love to work a bit more on improving the movement and ai as these are veeeery hacky xD
@acckaya-sotona there’s a MacOS and Linux build too. Or are they not visible? We uploaded it ~5 min after the deadline
@scottgamer28 @hinamarina that’s definitely a bug :( I didn’t have much time to test things that required a longer playthrough because most of them were added a few hours before the deadline xD
Good game with really nice music and art!
It's indeed very relaxing! Both the music and the nice graphics support this meditative atmosphere of relaxation well. I like the world and the fact that it feels living - the cats jump around, meet, separate and can even find a home without your help.
I wish my character would be a different color, or be distinct in some other way (a funny helmet!) from other cats. But I'm guessing it's a design choice you went with. I might have missed something, but the largest cat home world seemed impossible to escape. I went around a few times and tried to jump as hard as I could, directing myself towards the closest other planets, to no avail. The lure of the big cat world was just too much ;)
Overall, it's a very unique jam entry!
That`s a really nice game) Saved it)
@fabula-rasa sadly we didn’t have nearly enough time to test the extreme cases, so worlds that are too big to escape could happen. As for the cat sprites, we were planning to make different coloured cats with interchangeable helmets and cosmetic details but once again, not enough time :(
I think I can stop now. cat.png Super chill game. It was great drifting though the cosmos with a trail of cats. I was somewhat sad when I inadvertently hit a cat planet and they all left. I love the artwork and the atmosphere. The number tended to go down on its own suggesting the cats didn't actually need my help getting home.
omg so relaxing! Love it!
