Cool idea, overall was awesome, polish controls and good themed, congratulations !!

gorglomux 2023-10-03 11:15

Very nice concept, reminds me of the password game a little bit, with the fact that each time you add a new condition all the other ones must be met. Also the game is very intuitive. The ui is very nice and not confusing at all, which really adds up to the experience !

wisch 2023-10-03 11:58

Was a very fun little puzzle game, was stuck a bit at the end with the last task but in the end I figured out what I had duplicates of.

ekke 2023-10-03 12:02

I really liked this game. Perfect theming, fulfilling all the conditions was a fun puzzle. Until the end where i needed to both have and not have a plant . I assume that was intended if so then it was very funny. I got the game really fast, great tutorialization. overall 5 stars.

kuggenhoffen 2023-10-03 12:46

Really nice game. I like how you gradually add stuff and have to move stuff around and replace them to fulfill all the requirements. Managed to get to the end, I thought first it wasn't possible to finish but did figure it out in the end. Good job!

Nice Game

margoovian 2023-10-04 10:07

Nice graphics, sadly i could play much of it because of glitch resolution. nice cozy game, I rate

c42 2023-10-04 10:08

Nice and polished pixel art game, I liked the concept. However, I couldn't finish it because nothing I put in front of the pc desk counted as a "gaming chair" :(

okshirl 2023-10-05 01:56

I think this was a good idea and it was funny too. it reminded me of the password game but this was way less annoying and I thoroughly enjoyed it! nice pixel art too, though I would suggest to put a black overlay behind the instructions bc the white text on the tiles was a bit hard to read. I wish there was some sort of instruction on which ones were the "bigger furniture" and when it counts as seeing or not seeing directly. I'm almost figuring out the last demand and I will continue to try!

somewan 2023-10-05 15:46

Help! I just can't find the gaming chair anywhere. The idea is great, but there are some minor issues that need to be addressed. Also, currently, all furniture occupies 4 grid spaces. It might be more enjoyable if they could have different shapes according to their actual size.

willoxs 2023-10-05 18:41

A bit late of a response but i had PC fatigue the last day.

@margoovian That sucks to hear. I guess you didnt have a screenshot for me to figure things out? Or perhaps your screen resolution/setup?

@gorglomux @okshirl Yes, the password game was part of the inspiration. It's the first time i really had time for some sort of tutorial/instruction part for any of my jam games so there is of course way to improve - but im glad that it overall seems to be well received. Funnily i removed some of the hints at later demands as i thought they really disturbed the gameflow. For example with the sightlines - they just check a direct line and i think part of the fun is figuring those out.

@c42 @somewan I have a section on hints above, where you can look if you're getting stuck. Essentially the gaming chair is a mean puzzle as you should place the toilet next to the pc. Now i get that many people probably think it's just a bug... Mhh - perhaps better communicating that.

But anyway - thanks for playing everybody.

jadener 2023-10-06 19:31

I really enjoyed playing this game ^^ It was a nice puzzle and when I needed to remove items at part, I was anxious about removing anything to not ruin my setup :D Good job ^^

matthewstott99 2023-10-07 11:45

Great game, I loved the puzzle but couldn't progress due to bug with gaming chair. Maybe think about allowing rotation if not for mechanics at least for aesthetic.

willoxs 2023-10-07 12:49

@matthewstott99 Not a bug! Ahhhhrgh - trust the devs a bit more xD

No it‘s ok - the feedback makes it pretty clear that the gaming chair puzzle was a bit too weird. As for the rotation suggestion that would of course be great but requires double the number of spritework for just asthetics. Not feasible during the limited time i think.

thanks for the feedback

dhargan 2023-10-07 16:03

I couldn't find the gaming chair! Would like to play a bit more  Also I've used bookcases to hide the toilet. "Wall" might be a good addition to the game :smile_cat:

Nice entry!

profugo-barbatus 2023-10-08 00:15

That was pretty good! I didn't actually go through the trial and error of solving the four free tiles, but I enjoyed myself enough up to that point. Great use of the theme, even if I struggled with the gaming chair lol. Well done!

dxk2294 2023-10-08 01:47

I don't understand what gaming chair is :frowning:

rincs 2023-10-08 02:31

Hrm, nice concept, had a bit of fun! Are the prompts randomly generated? I got a bit stuck with "I want to read on the toilet"/"light on the bed" as neither TV nor the PC counted for reading, and neither pc, stove nor TV counted for light on the bed and you couldn't really put the rug under the bed to make room for a light.

The toilet = gamer chair was obtuse too, the only reason I got it is that I briefly spotted that hint on the game description.

I did also wish that the prompts scrolled to the new one when they appear. Reason being was that I had placed a bookshelf next to the toiled, counting for a prompt that I didn't realize spawned. Later on, I thought I was done, but was confused as to why the game didn't end. Scrolling up I saw a red prompt and upon reading it got confused as to why a "new" prompt spawned in the middle of the list.

*shrug*

You never fail to impress with your game design! This one looks simple, but the increasingly specific requests really made this challenging! It was fun to finally get to the end and decide what I could get rid of -- wow, maybe that's a life lesson :D

That was great fun! No spoilers in my screenshot :)

an unexpectedly complex game

I enjoyed it a lot... well done

shiny-elster 2023-10-08 18:06

What a cool game! Really like the art, the music is simple and don't distract you from the game. Love the puzzle and the humor, seems like i' too much of a gamer as i understood the 'gamer chair' promptly xD

Could not finish my first run as as didn't understand what the last prompt mean but got it on the second one. Great game!

padlynn 2023-10-08 22:09

We also did our game wile learning godot and other tools, so we know it's an uneasy task to do haha! You did great with your game, i really enjoyed playing it! i've seen that it was due of a lack of time creating assets but I had a big laugh discovering that the toilet were the gaming chair haha

willoxs 2023-10-10 10:43

@rincs Scrolling to new demands would indeed be a good addition - didn't think about this. Some problems arise when you solve several demands before they occure as then you don't see them as new if you later one fail to meet them. It's not generated and the order is fixed to generally have that not be the case but it can and probably did happen.

@hawkin Thanks for beating it! And even choosing it for the appreciation post - that's very nice.

@shiny-elster I'm happy you felt that the music was fitting - there wasn't any feedback on audio yet.

hinamarina 2023-10-17 20:30

Nice entry, I liked the overall concept! :) the idea of getting prompts and decorating the room goes really well together and i found it to be a curious take on the genre! The music was really nice, gave the game a really cozy vibe! I found a little hard to play, since the game uses the mouse wheel and I don't really use one normal mouse, so maybe you could have made it possible to scroll by clicking or having a little sidebar, but thats a minor thing :) I couldn't find what the gaming chair should be, unfortunately. But really nice work! :)
