Super pretty girl, but everything else...
Well... It’s an interesting experience. The main character’s art is very beautiful, but everything else is noticeably lacking. Part of the interface is in Russian, part in English. In some places, the key presses don’t match the rhythm in the songs, which throws you off a lot, and then it’s hard to get back into the rhythm.
Девочка просто топ но это расположение стрелок меня убивает. и очень громкие кнопки в меню
Wery difficult gameplay, but ut can be fixed fith a slow song (clow rythms). Overall I loved it!
Great job on this project! The visual style and audio fit together really nicely, creating an awesome vibe. Super impressive execution within the jam deadline! Left my ratings! Feel free to check out our cat bomb-crafting game when you have time. You can try the updated alternative version I put together (fixed mechanics + working PC): https://naiper.itch.io/meow-bomb-by-naiper
Would love to hear your thoughts!
UI broken. I cant click on the start and main menu button.
The music feels very dynamic, but the difficulty level is a bit too high! Also, the buttons are concentrated in one place, making it difficult to press with both hands. However, the graphics are very cute!
Really nice rhythm game, but it needs some improvements to make it better. One since each track as a icon and the icon represent the default "arrow input", when you change input, I believe they should change match the input provided by the player, as when I changed my input I got super confused as it didn't match what I was tapping. Second, I think the default setting should be the one showing each note, which input they should have. But I really like the game, it has potential!
ResolFix.zip"
@crotonyl-alcohol Thank you for your feedback! The resolution fix has already been added; you can download the build with the changes — “MiraiVoices.ResolFix.zip”. We hope you’ll be able to enjoy playing ⭐
Unfortunately I suck at this kind of parallel rhythm games but I would like to hear all the full songs. Can I download them from somewhere?
The character art is nice. There were quite a few times where the icon's didn't line up with the beat of the music, which made it hard to get the input right. It also seemed like the icons weren't really lining up with anything happening in the music, it seemed like they were mostly just put on the beat.
The unique blend of the Eurobeat energy and the retro aesthetic is genuinely fun to experience. The performance of Mirai really captures the lively spirit of the genre. Excited to see what new updates you add to the project!
Great rhythm game! Cool mascot and overall visual style.
Love the concept! You guys came up with an amazing idea. Great job, your game is amazing!
I think the best I did was 3760 TheOnlyWay, I'm not very good at rhythm games lol but nonetheless great game, I like the art and while I'm not very good at it it's still pretty fun. Music was good too. I would definitely say an additional slower song would nice, like 130 bpm in between the tutorial and FlyingFree, but like I said maybe FlyingFree is actually pretty easy and it's just me haha
@andriybyelikov We’re glad you liked the audio in our game. The new build (including the web version) now includes an authors panel; third‑party tracks are listed there 🎧
@jeffrey-meyers Thank you for your feedback! In the new version of the game, we’ve adjusted the tracks; now the gameplay should feel more enjoyable
@eugenik Thank you very much for your feedback, we’re glad you enjoyed the game! A new version has been released today, featuring an additional track by our composer and a simplified version of one of the older tracks
@eoshadows Thank you for your feedback! Your request has been heard — we’ve added 2 new tracks that are easier than the other melodies. In addition, you can enable a simplified mode in the settings, which will help you avoid losing hearts. We hope you’ll be able to enjoy the game and complete a couple of tracks! ⭐
I am very good at rhythm games. But I can tell this is a very well made one. Just wish I could make it more then 30s into the game, but thats on me. I love the music reminds me a lot of vocaloid music.
It's probably because I tried the web version, but I felt the rhythm a little bit off. Other than that, I found curious how you are adding content to the game in rating time. I know you have clearly differentiated the original version from the updated one, but just wanted to point it out. The game has great style and tracks. A rhythm game is always well received. Congratulations!
In-game while performing the song the polish is really nice, controls feel super responsive.
However the player's initial experience in the menu has some splinters that frustrate. For example in the tutorial I try to press WASD but I think it fails. Text says I must use arrow keys, so I move my right hand to the arrow keys. But then when I am playing just one step suddenly there is a popup, then many more. I hit space I hit enter, but no keyboard command seems to close it. Each popup I must remove my hand from the arrow keys and reach over to use the mouse, which does not harmonize with the rest of the game's interface.
Leaving the tutorial I got stuck another time in the menu system, I think I acted before the UI animation, and I hit "exit" trying to go back to the main menu, but then a popup came with a "main menu" option but the game was not responding, so I had to reload.
Next time I just skipped the tutorial and played - and suddenly the quality of the experience went way up, and the game was responding accurately and immediately to my inputs.
Of course in a rhythm game the menu is not so important, and the response to inputs during the gameplay is vital. So you nailed the important part!
Game looks and sounds really nice as well, good job!
@tinykidtoo Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed the game and our work with the vocals; we really tried to achieve the Vocaloid effect
@pkenney We are glad that you enjoyed the gameplay. Thank you for your feedback! We will investigate what caused the interface issue
@braulio-jg Thank you for your feedback! There are indeed some inconsistencies in the rhythm of some tracks, but we hope you enjoyed playing our project. We are adding new versions to fix bugs and add content that was created during the Ludum, but wasn’t added to the game in time. We hope this will make the experience more enjoyable for players. In any case, we want an honest assessment based on the original version of the game
Making a rhythm game in a few days could not have been a walk in the park. The art is great and the music is too. Some visual cues will help the player feel like they are doing something. There is a transparent circle that shows up, that's good, but words will go better. Words like Okay, miss, great, etc. so the player can know if they are doing the timing right. Also, having the notes go away on a successful push will help visually as well. Again, a rhythm game is hard and you managed to make one in a short time so that's very impressive.
This is a great rhythm game. Very impressed that you were able to implement 4 songs in the time. The songs are very fast paced with does increase the difficulty but I am glad there is a fair timing window for clicking the WASD keys. Some rhythm games can be pretty brutal with that. But here it was reasonable. I like the character art and anime aesthetic. I'll also try out the post dare version and see what improvements you're making.
@roitchie Thank you for your feedback! We hope you’ll like the new version and its changes!
нормально
Quite polished rythm game! The character design with her little poses felt really cute, the music is nice (first one had a very denpa flavor that was quite pleasing to play!). The difficulty is quite high, specially for the double key holding (it just melted my brain lmao XD) but I think thats better for a rythm game than it getting kinda pale. Overall very enjoyable entry, is really hard to do a well developed rythm game with so many tracks in such a small amount of time, impressive work! Thank you for the game! :)
I love how even the SFX remind me of old browser games. Awesome entry
Really enjoyed the art style and the animations were good. The music worked well with the the vibe of the game. The tutorial level was a good addition for those not familiar with the genre. There were some vocal melodies on some tracks which were maybe a little distracting. Maybe it had to do with the pitch bending and where the game notes lined up with audio. But overall it was a fun little rhythm game. Great work!
