LD46 — Keep it alive

Gophers by randomhuman 2020-04-22T08:06:52Z

Nice! I loved the graphics, and the story was pretty intriguing! The way you even told the story was neat, with bits of humor sprinkled here and there. The whole antennae thing was really unique too! Well done!

Keep It Alive by danman9914 2020-04-21T07:57:31Z

Loved it! Not only was its gameplay really unique, but its story was pretty intriguing! I also loved how you incorporated the shoelace tying necessity as a funny thing during the dialogue. The graphics are really nice, and went perfectly with the rest of the game. It took me a bit to figure out the controls and what I was supposed to be doing, but when I did it was really fun!

Space Drone Guy by TechnoNugget 2020-05-02T21:56:34Z

Nice! Literally the only thing I can suggest is maybe making the aiming dot a little further from the ship - it would make it a little easier knowing where I'm aiming.

But other than that, everything was well done! I loved the mechanics of the game, with the strategy of moving around. The decision of using the weaker but faster gun and using the powerful gun with knockback is neat, especially since you're already trying to steady your movement. And the out of signal thing is cool too, making it rather imperative that I control my movement - along with the fact that running into anything destroys my drone.

The obstacles were cool too - I especially liked how the enemy's AI worked, retreating when I start attacking it but soon returning to attack the ship. The asteroids were a need obstacle too.

Again, well done!

Supply Squad by Inventivum Games 2020-04-24T07:02:25Z

Nice! Really like the laser graphics - especially when the screen is just a chaos of red and blue bullets flying all over the screen. It reminds me of Star Wars. It might have been more interesting if some enemies actually attacked me rather then the payload. The only two times I died was when I happened to be standing in the line of enemy fire. Other than that though it's really good! In addition to the lasers, I feel like the whole graphics in general were great. The explosions when the payload takes damage and the light effect when it goes into the tunnel are cool! Definitely could see this as a fun multiplayer game if you expanded it.

SPECIAL MEAT for a special boy by LethalTurtle 2020-04-23T23:51:28Z

Nice! It's a really entertaining game. It took me a bit of time to notice the ax (at first I went around trying to punch people and hit them with their groceries) but I eventually got it and got a grasp of how everything worked. It's really challenging. I also enjoyed the impact of the ax...it's kind of satisfying. And the design of he monster is cool. It might have been neat for a sort of creepy effect for the monster all over the ceiling to only appear after a certain point, like when it is starting to get hungrier faster it starts to appear in more parts of the room. But yeah, really fun game! (I can't do anything with the computer though. Still don't know what it is even supposed to do...)

Solais by dragonxvi 2020-04-30T08:23:53Z

Loved it! This is an awesome and challenging game. The pixel graphics are spectacular. With everything I just said together, I was having some serious Shovel Knight vibes while playing this. Sadly I gave up before the end so I couldn't see what else it had to offer. I was originally playing the web version so I downloaded it to hopefully try again later...

Embers by Anuke 2020-04-24T06:04:08Z

This is definitely one of my favorite games of Ludum Dare 46! It just keeps me wanting to keep playing. The pixel graphics are amazing, the avatar is adorable, and the ability to craft items, although not many of them, is so much fun. My only wish is that it had a better offline version. I tried the .jar file, but it was really glitchy. The avatar was fizzing around in tons of different particles all over the screen. I would also have possible liked for a way to clean up all of the items left from dead enemies...after a while it really trashes the place. Oh, but the place - just remembered how much I also loved how the map was randomly generated!

Again just ... wow. Awesome game!

Dinnertime! by CrispyPear 2020-04-21T09:57:40Z

Really fun - and challenging! The graphics were great, and I enjoyed the comments made when you accidentally let the baby die. Still don't understand what the red flowers are for though... It reminds me a bit of the Harvest Moon games.

SoapBoy by Gamekrazzy 2020-04-24T00:09:08Z

Nice! It's definitely a pretty easy game, but not in a way that makes it boring. The graphics are great, and the impact of my bullets is really satisfying. I like the way you fight the boss, although it took me a sec to figure it out. The humor and irony in it is great. Loved that I could use my controller for it as well. Well done!

Our Little Town of Cradyl by Videk 2020-04-23T23:26:15Z

Fun game! It's entertaining to try to keep everyone's spirits up, although I'm apparently bad at it as the city ends up getting destroyed pretty quickly. I wasn't aware of how the city gets destroyed at first, and was in awe when I saw the monster peer out of the whole - really cool! I wish I could have been told though what the icons meant. I assumed the red hands displayed when selecting a person meant they had disapproval, and the green wants meant they were happy, but I'm not sure as I can't seem to make them green again. Also, the destruction sound went on infinitely even after I chose to "play again", and I had to close the game and come back to fix the issue.

Other than those small issues though, it was really fun! Good job!

(Also, loved what you did for the description! It really introduces the game in a good way. If you expanded the game, it might actually be cool for you to use that as an introduction at the start of the game, as letter displayed on the screen.)

[M]achine [L]earning by Sakurina 2020-04-22T00:04:17Z

I enjoyed it! According to the Outer Federation though I must be a terrible parent - I keep getting the Bad End xD

The graphics are good and it really makes me want to keep trying different schedules to raise the Giver. All I wish though is that I could go back to the menu every time I get to an ending, rather than having to leave the game and get back into it every time I want to restart.

Anyways, really well done!

It's About Slime by Silas the Dev 2020-04-30T07:46:30Z

Nice! Really liked the concept, and I don't know if it's just me, but when all of the milk is just splattered all over the black backdrop it just feels really satisfying. At first I didn't understand that the characters each had different ways they sprayed the milk, but when I did I really liked it! The graphics and sound effects are good too, and the way all of the enemies keep fluctuating in quantity is awesome!

Constance by Oakwarrior 2020-05-07T05:27:25Z

Awesome! Its a really innovative and challenging game. The graphics and sound effects / music are great, and I like the slight reference to the story as you play - Constance talking about past events with her husband as she replaces each body part. The voice acting was a great part of the game too! I got so close to completing him before getting caught in between two people who'd noticed me.

I have no idea why they are chasing me for dragging bodies all ready strewn across the town, but I still love the concept! xD

Remember, Apollo by AdamCYounis 2020-04-21T08:21:45Z

I loved played this, and it's incredible to me that it was made in only 48 hours! The pixel graphics are breath taking, as well as the overall design, and the the gameplay was really unique. I also loved going through the story. It was a little weird though constantly returning to parts of the story to chase the deer and got a bit old. Moving through some parts of the game were a bit frustrating as I couldn't really see where I was aiming - granted, and I still had a great time trying repeatedly to get through everything, but it was kind of frustrating.

Overall though, really good game! Loved it!

7 Intelligence by twobitadder 2020-04-24T07:40:54Z

Nice, and really challenging! I still can't get very far, I've even crashed the game a couple times trying to do everything too fast.

Feast of blood by DanilShekarev 2020-04-22T07:17:14Z

Really fun and challenging game! Once I began to understand how everything worked I really enjoyed it. Such unique gameplay, and definitely can't go wrong with pixel art. Also loved seeing all of those references all over the place as graffiti.

I did have a bit of a problem with escaping the first couple of times - I would get to the exit and press "E", but then nothing would happen and I would just run out of health. The last couple of times I played though it worked.

Really fun though! Good job!

Lights Out by Aspect11 2020-05-01T00:44:59Z

Nice game! I mentioned it on the itch.io page, but I really liked the pixel graphics. The audio you had was nice, although it would be neat if there was some sort of reaction noise when the ghost gets you, like a scream or something. But the sound effect for the door and footsteps were perfect! I don't know what the scariness meter is for, although I still made sure to keep it down by hiding every once in a while. A movement restriction would have also been nice for the ghost, as it kept floating up through the floor to get me (unless it was a glitch due to me playing the web version ... ?) Nevertheless, overall the game was challenging and had a nice concept. Well done!

Chasing Shadows by Andrzej Gieralt 2020-04-24T06:31:29Z

Nice! The game is going really good. The design of the "shadows" are awesome, and its pretty neat to try to escape them and turn off the terminals. One issue I had though is that there is apparently no way of getting out of the game, especially since it automates to full screen. Thankfully I was able to get out with the Windows start menu and manually close the game, but it would have been nice to use a built in option to quit. Other than that though, this is pretty good!

Life of a Battery by EOShadows 2020-04-21T23:36:44Z

@jakemchugh1 The first level?

Silva by derparuni 2020-04-21T08:50:28Z

Pretty good. I didn't know I was supposed to be keeping the fire going during my first play through, and so let fire die. Then the second time I had no choice but to let the fire die because it wouldn't let me drop the fire wood. I'm also getting an error in the command prompt when the fire dies for some reason...

But the graphics were neat, and from what I could tell reading through some of the other comments the story ended up making a pretty neat turn. Definitely makes me want to keep trying to get to it. The music kind of gives me Hello Neighbor vibes. Which is a good thing - I personally liked that game.

EDIT: I played it again to the end. Really neat! I think the issue I had with the wood previously had something to do with trying to pick up wood while I was already holding wood. But when I wasn't having that issue, it was neat wandering around. I might have liked to get a chance to walk around sooner, but it was neat when I got to it. Did anyone else notice the car?

Trappy Dungeon by Potato Bot 2020-05-07T04:56:48Z

Nice!

It was a neat idea to have traps to look out for. The design of the player was great, and I loved the sound effects and little tune that plays when you get passed a room.

Concerning suggestions, I might have liked hints or something so I wouldn't keep randomly falling to traps. And a way to get out of the game would have been nice too, especially since it automates to full screen - luckily I use two monitors so I was able to close it manually.

Other than those though, you did a great job!

The Land of The Consumed by NanoArch 2020-04-22T07:30:45Z

Great game! I really liked the design of the player, and it feels so satisfying to me to stab with the pike. It took me a bit of time to realize how to attack, and its annoying sometimes when I accidentally pick up the watering can when I'm not ready. Maybe have a button to specifically pick them up? Other than that though, really well done!

The Land of The Consumed by NanoArch 2020-04-22T16:27:36Z

I didn’t say anything about the level - it seemed fine to me. In fact it’s really cool that they were all randomly generated. Perhaps you meant this for @wassim?

ANICTO by WeAreDev 2020-04-21T21:39:42Z

Loved it! The graphics were actually really good, and the gameplay was really innovative. My favorite part was the music - it was so good! I did have issues though when after the fire in my fire pit went out, I couldn't light it again. Trying to light it again with my torch just resulted in me losing my torch.

Still, really enjoyable!

Keep The Night Short by AlexandrosKap 2020-04-23T22:20:11Z

Really good! I liked how unique the gameplay and controls were -- I've never played a game when you actually have controls to STOP rather than GO. The variety of enemies with their own ways to get past them is really cool too! My favorite is definitely the moving plant thing. I didn't understand it at first, but when I found out what I was supposed to do I couldn't help but like the uniqueness of it. I loved the graphics too - the color palette with the pixels was a great choice. I did notice though that nothing had transparency. I can see that being inescapable if the program you used to make the art or the engine you used to make the game didn't support transparency, but it definitely would be nice if you could find a way around that.

I really enjoyed the game though! Good job!

Cryogen by Halberd 2020-04-21T22:01:07Z

It's good! I found it really entertaining. A nice mix of tower defense and first person shooter. I had an issue on my second try though, when my heart was destroyed and I wasn't, so I was stuck in slow motion and the enemies stopped spawning. Other than that though it was really good!

Overthrone by Phibian 2020-04-23T22:43:00Z

Really good! The graphics were fantastic, I loved the glow effect on all of the pixels, it really made it a neat environment. The impact of my attacks felt great, with the sound effect and camera shake. The animation of the sword swing felt incredible too! also I like the potential for progress, with the ability to, as the enemies increase, be able to keep placing more and more defense mechanisms. I did get stuck outside of the map at one point, but luckily one of the fast moving enemies put me out of my misery almost immediately so it didn't really affect my game play. I would have liked to maybe see some animation in the enemies, but that's just something a little extra.

Again: really good, it was a pretty fun and challenging game! Well done!

Koita and the Elder Relics by Toasted Oregano 2020-04-21T21:20:25Z

I really enjoyed it! I could definitely tell it was inspired by Undertale - even the one song that played down in the cave place was almost exactly the same as one of the songs in Undertale. But that's not bad - it was neat! Loved the funny parts, and the graphics were good! I liked the yellow tint whenever you went into a shop type building.

I noticed though that I can jump again when I'm against a wall, I don't know if that's supposed to happen or not. It was also inconvenient at times for the jump button to be the same as the interaction button - maybe make them different? I also have no idea if I even finished the game after collecting all the relics and reporting to the mayor. But overall it was really enjoyable game!

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Closed Circuit by Criobite 2020-10-10T07:11:44Z

Great game! The music/sound effects and graphics are awesome, and I really liked the menu design! I think it would have been nice to have the player health bar visible at all times, and perhaps a bit more noticeable as well (I didn't even realize there was one until I started letting enemies shoot me to see if anything changed). But other than that, really good casual shooter game. I'd be down to see how you possibly take it further. Well done!

A Repetitive Disaster by CursedEmbassy 2020-10-06T07:01:36Z

I liked it. The portrait artwork was nice, and I especially liked how you made them traditional drawings put into the game, that was a pretty neat idea! More options/branches would definitely have been nice, but overall, well done!

Lyza's Knot by William Derksen 2020-10-15T03:26:10Z

Really great game! The graphics are nice, and you really made a freaking terrifying monster. I know you opted out of the audio, but you definitely used some nice sound effects. The sound of that thing running after you (especially while using headphones) and then that crunch sound as it bites off your head is just done so well, and creates an awesomely freaky effect. Not to mention that face the monster has as it crunches - you truly depicted a terrifyingly gleeful and hungry face on that beast! The gameplay is also very nicely done. It felt great when I realized what I should do on the first level. I couldn't get passed one of the levels, but there was nothing wrong with it - it was just really challenging, and I like it! Overall, fantastic game! Great job!

WHAT I SAW by Angela He 2020-10-06T09:03:48Z

Nice game! The graphics and music/sound effects are amazing, and there is surprisingly a large amount of content. I didn't finish it though, because at one point what I'm assuming to be a bug won't allow me to hide, which seems to be a vital and necessary action to continue. But definitely, good game nonetheless. Well done!

INCORPORATION CORP. by Kilian BAPTENDIER 2020-10-10T21:36:02Z

Nice game! The graphics, sound effects, and music are great! I did have issues with the throwing mechanic though. SPACE never worked, but when I switched to a controller X worked...more often. It was nice though that the zombies could kill each other - kind of made up for the inability to throw stuff and was actually fun tricking them into hitting each other. I think the blurred-motion effects might have been a bit much though. Overall, great game. Well done!

Wake Up by rvenson 2020-10-11T06:56:57Z

Really liked this game! The graphics are great, and I really liked the sounds - especially the voice telling you to "wake up." I was also really intrigued by the story - I'm a little sad I couldn't finish it. This was partially due to me getting stuck on the code part - I couldn't figure it out! Mainly though, it kept freezing my whole computer, so I had to restart everything, naturally including the game. The first time it happened though I was enjoying the game so much I tried again, hoping I just unluckily hit a rare error. But then it happened again when I was trying to figure out the code...and so I decided to stop there. Only other issue I ran into was that the player walk animation was either being laggy or just sped up really fast. Other than those issues though, I really loved this game! Well done!

Within The Threes by JohnnyR 2020-10-13T22:06:01Z

Great game! The graphics are great, and I really liked the music and ambience! I did find that a lot of the sprites weren't sorted correctly (I had tree stumps floating in front of me for example) but I think that was the only issue I found. It was actually pretty fun walking around trying to find my dog - especially with the woods getting creepier and creepier the further I went. I did end up getting an ending, but I don't think it was finding my dog. Still can't figure that one out. Overall though, great game. Well done!

Enclosed by Daniel JenikovskĂ˝ 2020-10-10T06:37:25Z

This game is awesome! The graphics are amazing, as well as the music and audio (Love the walking sound effect). Most importantly though, the concept is neat and very innovative, and not to mention it implements the theme very well, probably more innovatively then most of the LD47 games I've played so far. The puzzles were amazing, challenging, and really fun to do. My only issue is that the loop sometimes adds stuff (mainly talking about the pillars), so the neat concept of looping the level is kind of smudged, though I would understand if that just made it easier to come up with levels - I definitely still wouldn't have been able to come up with them myself! Don't get me wrong though, I still loved those levels and they were really fun when I figured out the pillar stuff. Overall, I freaking love this game! Well done!

Hyperloop by very dark lord 2020-10-07T05:59:19Z

This game is awesome! The graphics were amazing, the music was amazing, and the sound effects were amazing - I liked pretty much every aspect of this game! And the idea to make the player's "lives" exist as being the other characters going to go check on things was unique and amazing! I felt like it even, in addition to some of the other things, contributed very well to the theme. I also loved the horror aspects! Honestly this has to be not only one of my favorite Ludum Dare games, but also one of my favorite games in general. This would be awesome as a full game! My only complaint is that I would have liked a bit more fleshed out story (Of course, there's a limited time and you've got to focus on the most important aspects, which you did very well!) but I would have at least liked a hint towards what those creatures were and what they were doing there, and maybe a reaction from the other passengers if you win but don't make it back alive would have been neat. But seriously, overall, this game was amazing! Well done!

Phase Decay by Fluffy_Kaeloky 2020-10-08T01:29:38Z

Really great game! It was pretty fun and challenging. The graphics and sound effects were great, and the idea for the partially broken door and the logic in getting it open was neat! I also really liked the way the turret works. My only complaint is that the game kept crashing (USUALLY when losing, like the turret killing me or the whole ship finally exploding), so I didn't actually end up finishing the game due to that messing up my progress each time. Overall though, really good game! Well done!

Hell Glider by TheAxe316 2020-10-10T08:18:05Z

Awesome game! I loved the mechanics, it felt so amazing and enjoyable swinging all over the place. Making the scene kind of tilt whenever you swing really hard or whatever it was also provided a really cool feel to the gameplay! The graphics were amazing too! Overall, this is a really good game. Well done!

Chrono Curse by Hermitao 2020-10-06T07:29:07Z

Really nice! The graphics are amazing, and I especially like the designs of the player and the Lich. The music is really epic, and the sound effects are pretty good too. The game's pretty difficult, even at the beginning (I never even got passed the first iteration ^^; ), but I feel like that's just the way the game is supposed to be. The only issues I had seem to be already addressed, although I also kind of had difficulties walking through the doorways. Still though, very good! Well done!

JANTOR by tammukka 2020-10-13T01:21:47Z

Awesome game! It's a really neat bullet hell. The graphics are really good, as well as the audio. I think, despite how challenging it made it, the tangled loop mechanic, and the need to get the certain objects to "unravel" it, was really creative, innovative, and just plain cool. Overall, I really liked this game. Well done!

LoopGame by GandalfTheGod 2020-10-13T02:25:22Z

Nice game! The graphics and music are great, and the concept is pretty neat and innovative! I didn't quite understand it at first, as it seemed to me "oh...I just set the difficulty I want to fight each time. Sounds a bit too easy." But then after about 2 rooms I realized each slot gets more enemies each time, which felt really neat as that kind of gave a unique way of strategy - deciding which one was best, which one I want to have to fight more of, etc. I think the only issue I had was that I would have liked a way to leave the game at any time, without having to get myself killed to get an exit option. But overall this is a great game. Well done!

Astroline by Mr.developer 2020-10-06T08:04:46Z

This game is awesome! The graphics are great, there's actually a decent amount of content, and the weapons feel so satisfying to use, even when they are just your kicks and punches! The music and audio are great too! At first I also got confused about how you respawn, but as soon as I checked out the instructions again things went great! The only problem I found was that some of the doors kind of vibrate, but it didn't affect the gameplay whatsoever. Overall this game is amazing, well done! It definitely has to be one of my favorite games of Ludum Dare 47 so far.

The Time Terrorists by Wilko 2020-10-10T07:58:31Z

Nice game! It's got good graphics and and a fun concept. The ability to color people was a pretty neat mechanic for trying to find the criminals, and overall the process of finding them was just neat. My main issues are that the player could be a bit more distinguishable from the crowd, and some of the sprites appear in front of characters when I feel like they shouldn't (like the graffiti being in front of the characters, for instance.) I feel like the method of winning the game I got a bit frustrated over was the code. I feel like I found the numbers to the code, but no matter how I enter them in it doesn't seem to work. There's probably just some other clue to the puzzle I'm not considering, but I wouldn't know. Overall though, great game. Well done!

Last Minute by LukeBenkart 2020-10-06T08:27:55Z

Really nice game! The graphics are great, as well as the concept. It might just be me being stupid, but even with all of the clues I still couldn't figure out the password. Oh well. The only issue I think I came across was getting the stuff to stay up on the screen. Other than that though, this game was good! Well done!

Office Dating Simulator 2020 by Brainloaf Studio 2020-10-13T02:06:46Z

Really nice game! I loved it. The graphics were great and charming, and the music was great too - it fit really well with the game. I really liked the characters, and the different tasks you had to do for them were simple, yet fun. I loved the humor throughout the game as well. Sadly I've only gotten to one of the endings so far, but I'd definitely like to go try for all of the other ones. The game's got so much content! I think the only issues I had are that the transition screen (the black screen that says what day it is) didn't cover the whole screen (don't really know if that was intentional or not, but to me it felt a little strange) and I kept getting stuck on walls (like, I'd hit the walls at certain spots and then all of the movement controls would stop working.) Other than that though, I really liked this game! Well done!

Crystal Curse by LouieJams 2020-10-15T03:04:08Z

Great game! It was really fun and challenging to run all over the place trying to have the right trap ready. I think it was a pretty innovative idea - rather than actually facing the enemies yourself, or just casually preparing traps before the enemies actually come, you had the player walk around bringing the traps to fight the right enemies. I really liked that! The graphics were also very good. Well done!

Stuck in The Loop by EOShadows 2020-10-06T01:36:57Z

@firebelley Yeah, I tried to hint towards what you have to do without giving much away, but I agree I probably could have done a lot better. Thanks though! ^^

@thecreator Thanks! I actually wasn't too fond of how the music turned out, so it's nice to know it's not as bad as I thought! ^^

Stuck in The Loop by EOShadows 2020-10-06T08:38:44Z

@shosanna Agh, really? Well, thanks for telling me! I had no idea whether it would work or not, so now I know I guess. ^^;

Stuck in The Loop by EOShadows 2020-10-06T09:13:47Z

@greon Thanks! I actually didn't have the text intentionally slow originally, but I did end up noticing it and felt like it just worked for that exact reason. You could call it a lazy excuse not to deal with it xD

@Wakobu There are three steps - for one of them, keep an eye on the bullet-hell part. Anything different each time? Think about what you might have done in the regular room that might have caused it. For the other steps, I suggest thinking outside the box, maybe even try whatever strange thing that comes to mind - it might actually do something. Thanks for taking an interest! ^^

@rokevicius Thanks! ^^

Stuck in The Loop by EOShadows 2020-10-06T09:18:37Z

@tree3 Thanks! ^^ And yeah, that box is tricky. ^^; You're right though - it does have a use. I gave a hint a moment ago if that helps. ^^;

Stuck in The Loop by EOShadows 2020-10-07T23:58:30Z

@bobparis75 Thanks!

@etrealjunior Thanks! And I played your game - it's really good! Great job!

@adil Thanks! And yeah, I was hoping it would kind of explain itself with the slight bit of hinting I gave. Basically you are trying to figure out how to get out of The Loop, and to do this you've got to basically use your head. It's kind of a puzzle game where you have to observe what you see, as well as try out your own inklings. If you've ever played the game Hello Neighbor, I kind of took inspiration from that.

@zaibakk Thanks! ^^ And yeah, I've gotten that before. I definitely agree I could made the text a bit faster. ^^;

@fluffy-kaeloky Thanks a lot for the feedback! And yeeaaah I wasn't fond of my music either, that area of game development has definitely never been my strong point ^^; I thought about leaving it out but I just felt like "what the heck." xD Also, yup, the box got you stuck. I should have allowed some way to pull it out of spots it gets stuck in. ^^;

Stuck in The Loop by EOShadows 2020-10-19T04:36:53Z

@duke Thanks! And yeah, I get those points. I could definitely tweak that stuff a bit, especially with the time.

@peachtreeoath Thank you so much! And I actually didn't know that about the Phoenix Wright games ... I might have to check them out, it sounds a lot more interactive then I thought the series was.

@angela-he Thanks, and I'm glad you got it to work with Mac! I'm honestly rather curious what's going on to only work with that process...

@maukii Thanks! And damn, that's really weird with the text boxes getting stuck. I've got no idea what could be going on with that, but hopefully I can figure that out if I work on this more! ^^;

@rvenson @poodle-in-need Thanks very much!

@satolas Thank you so much! Funny thing is I didn't actually consider the "you don't kill anyone" idea. I was originally wanting the player to fight a bunch of enemies until mister demon guy appears and sends the player back to the room, but time constraints pressured me into downsizing to a bullet hell. But I'm glad you found the no-fight thing cool, and I definitely agree now, it feels a lot more neat than a fighting game. Also - my gosh, I'm very glad you were able to finish it! You're the first as far as I know! xD I'll definitely check out your game, it looks very good! And nope, I actually still need to watch that show xD

Stuck in The Loop by EOShadows 2020-10-22T18:32:42Z

@wxzuir Thanks, I'm glad you liked it, and that you were able to finish it! And yup, English is my native language. I'm glad everything was understandable for you! I'm usually way too wordy with my writing, so it's nice to know it wasn't that bad this time. ^^

@cherry-princess Thanks!

Games are So Much Fun by Rainbows are Fun 2020-10-17T01:38:56Z

Nice game! I really liked the graphics, and how they got less and less distinguishable in each room. Sadly though I can't tell whether I completed the game, or just can't figure out the puzzle to progress. (There's a label "end" on the bottom right corner, but it doesn't seem to respond to my clicks. Clicking, jumping, and pressing enter everywhere didn't work either. Is the label saying that that's the end of the game?) I also had issues figuring out what "clicking on the computer" meant, but I actually like that it means the literal computer. I don't know if it was meant to be that way or not, but it feels kind of like a nice trick puzzle or something - since most people, me included for a bit there, assumed that the monitor was what was needed to be clicked. Overall, nice. Well done!

Games are So Much Fun by Rainbows are Fun 2020-10-17T20:14:13Z

Replayed it! I really liked the ending - it was so innovative, and pretty dark. I think providing a prompt to press ESC at the end of the game would have been nice, as the ending would have been a whole lot more shocking if I stumbled across it myself - unless you meant it as kind of a puzzle. I realize that would be pretty neat, although a good portion of people like me might never realize it was an option. Still though, I really liked it. Well done!

Demon Watch by Hicko 2020-10-17T02:35:05Z

Nice game! I liked the graphics, and the music / ambience was great! I think the endings could have been a bit more rewarding / challenging to get (like figuring out a way to trick your friend rather than just interacting with her) but I did like one of the endings. It was grim and strangely satisfying. I also noticed some people had issues with the dialogue speed. I agree it was a bit slow, but generally it wasn't all that annoying. Overall, I liked the game - well done!

While(true) by iorena 2020-10-05T23:54:15Z

Great game! It's really innovative, pretty fun and challenging, and has some great graphics. The story was good too! I actually thought of the while loop idea too, but I didn't think there was a good way to implement it. You did it perfectly! Well done!

Cycle Breakdown by TheJohnyFeeD 2020-10-10T08:38:46Z

Ok, this is awesome. I still haven't gotten very far, but this is a game that I'll definitely be playing again to try and get to that boss. The graphics, the sound effects, the music, the mechanics - it's all really good! The fighting honestly feels so satisfying and smooth as well. This is something I'd definitely really love to play as a full version or something. Well done!

Resurrection by etrealjunior 2020-10-07T23:43:38Z

Great game! The concept of life for an infinite loop was a great idea, and it was pretty fun getting to basically play different games throughout the different stages of life. I also really loved the music, and the graphics were pretty good too! Overall this was a good game, I can't really think of anything to critique. Well done!

Retrospective by ilya096 2020-10-13T22:40:54Z

Great game! I played version 2. It was really fun, and had a unique gaming mechanic as well! I've seen games that have something similar, but it's pretty neat that you can collide with your past selves. It's a really unique play on the mechanic. I actually didn't realize I could save myself using that...I could have spared myself a lot of level restarts if I considered that ^^; But yeah, the graphics are really good. I just wish I knew what the "iters" thing on the corner was all about. I also felt like the jumping was a tad too floaty. I feel like that could be intentional, to make things a bit trickier - and it's a good idea - it just would be nice if the floatiness was brought down a bit. Overall though I really liked this game. Well done!

INSIDE THE LOOP by aerloth 2020-10-19T05:03:52Z

Great game! I played it to the end. The graphics are great, and I really liked the puzzles! It took me a while to figure out the extremely simple solution that was right before my eyes on what I think was the second, maybe first level? Anyways, yeah, really liked them! They were challenging, and very creative! The audio was also pretty awesome. Overall, great game. Well done!

Can You Escape? by Piers 2020-10-10T06:56:29Z

Nice! The music was awesome, and the graphics were great too! I also liked that you provided a way to exit the game. There are a lot of LD games that require you to manually close the application, so it's a nice touch. The movement also felt pretty smooth, although the sensitivity for looking around took getting used to. Overall though, great game. Well done!

friendly black hole by pretend I have a cool name 2020-10-11T05:38:45Z

Nice game! The idea was really innovative and implements the theme in a pretty creative way. I feel like I understand what I'm supposed to be doing and I feel like it's possible, but I found it pretty challenging. I keep getting planets where I think they should be, but their speed keeps getting increased in addition to changing their orbit with the black hole, so they quickly get out of alignment. Often, I accidentally send them off screen where I don't think I'll ever see them again. Still though, great job on the graphics, and really nice concept and mechanics. I also take my hat off to you for using Pygame! Overall, well done!

Infinite Nightmares by Alpasyon007 2020-10-06T00:18:38Z

loved it! The graphics were well made, and I especially like the main character's design. It took me a bit to realize what I needed to do to continue to the last part, but overall the game was really good! Well done!

SORO BORO by nethead 2020-10-13T21:23:44Z

Really great game! The graphics are amazing, as well as the sound effects and music. I do agree with what a lot of the other people are saying, the controls are a bit uncomfortable, but I managed to get used to them. I think it kind of adds to the uniqueness of the game though - it just adds to the challenge. Speaking of challenge though - aaaaagh. This deserves recognition as a rage game. I could not get past what I think is the third level change? I know there's a way to get past it, but it's just so difficult, especially sense I keep getting sent back to the beginning. I wouldn't change it though - I actually love how freaking challenging it is. As I said, it makes for a great rage game. Overall - great game! Well done!

Something to Tell You by Blind Lemon Games 2020-10-13T03:03:25Z

Nice! I liked the graphics, as well as the audio. Despite being a little vague, it also had a really intriguing story. I liked it. The singing throughout the game was awesome, and it really added to the dark nature of the story. I think the only issue I had was the way you look around in the game. While it sort of made sense for it to be difficult while struggling in the bed, the beginning of the game felt off when one of the axes was inverted and the other wasn't (I forget which axis it was). Overall though, really good game! Well done!

Stuck in the Luntic by Harrm 2020-10-07T06:26:44Z

Great game! They graphics were nice, and the premise/concept of the game was pretty unique and neat. I especially like the blobby spinny creature - If I understand what it's supposed to be doing, it's a pretty unique idea for an enemy. Overall, pretty good! Well done!

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Check Port for Moisture by TechnoNugget 2021-05-17T19:53:47Z

Great game! The audio was great, and the game mechanics and puzzles were really fun. I think my only issue was that it took me a bit in the second level to figure out that the explosions taking away my oxygen were coming from the octopuses as ink blasts. Perhaps there could be a way to make that more clear? Other than that, great game. Well done!

Nuclear blaze by deepnight 2021-05-06T19:15:19Z

Really good game! The graphics are great, and the concept and gameplay are even more so. I like how you had a story going the deeper and deeper you went. It really had me interested in what was going on as I went. Shame you ran out of time to complete the story! The strategy that was involved in putting out a fire that keeps growing back was really fun as well. The only issue I had with the game was it would have been nice with some sound, though I get the problem of running out of time. I had the same thing happen in LD46. Overall I really liked this game, and I would totally play a post-compo version. Well done!

Going Down by nexust 2021-05-18T19:33:13Z

Great game! The graphics are nice, and I thought it was neat how you enhanced the walking animation with the rocking from left to right - it worked well. The story and audio were really good too. I haven't played it more than twice and didn't really differ my answers much, but from what I can tell the answers you make don't quite affect anything in the game, which I feel would have been nice. Other than that though I thought the game was really good. Well done!

The House by RetroNuva10 2021-05-17T20:19:36Z

Great game! I really loved the graphics, and the tasks are fun to do. The audio was also really good! I think my only issues were that it wasn't that obvious that the flower and butterfly counted towards the flour and butter, and it would have been nice to be told what each item was (as the low resolution of the items in the inventory made it unclear as to what each item was.) I also wasn't able to finish the game as, like others have been having, I kept getting stuck in the wall. Other than that though I really liked the game, and I'll definitely have to give it another try at some point to see the ending. Well done!

Below the Ocean by Ismael Rodriguez 2021-05-02T23:38:10Z

Great game! I loved every minute of it, despite being terrible at it (I got close to 50 deaths). The graphics, music, and gameplay were extraordinary, and the game mechanic of the oxygen line was really fun and innovative! The color palette for the graphics was also really nice, and I like how organized it was with each color portraying a particular purpose. The puzzles themselves were also very well made. I'm honestly surprised you were able to make it all in one weekend - I was expecting to see that a team of people made this, not just one person. Overall this game was really good. Well done!

Big Brain Time by TheInkSkeleton 2021-05-18T18:36:08Z

Great game! Loved the concept, and the wiggly animation of the neuron was neat! I did come across some bugs such as where I could clip into the walls and where sometimes I couldn't collect elements, but other than that, the game was pretty good. Well done!

There, Again by Honey Pony 2021-05-13T06:26:02Z

Amazing game! The graphics and audio were great, and the levels were both innovative and very challenging. I played all the way to the end without knowing about the "skip level" key, but to be honest, I like that. I probably would have skipped a lot of levels otherwise, and it was a nice, satisfying victory whenever I finally completed a level (despite my fingers cramping up by the end of them, haha.) I agree with the last feedback, it's amazing that you managed to create all of this in 48 hours - the amount of creative, challenging, yet fun levels and puzzles along with the rest of the content was simply astounding, and still would have been even if you spent 24 more hours on this. The only issues I found were that sometimes the rocks would stop inside the spikes (hindering my progress of figuring out what I was supposed to do) and that the amount of levels may have been (a bit?) too much for a game jam, but seriously, other than that this game was amazing. This has to be one of my favorite games I've played in LD48. Well done!

Associated Arguments by mathemagician 2021-05-01T06:42:10Z

Good game! I love how you responded to the theme with the concept of "deeper and deeper" into conversation. The puzzle got me at one point before I realized I should start thinking about my moves, making me have to restart, but I think it was neat how it caught me off guard. The graphics are great, and the sound effects that play in place of the voices in the conversations was nice. It did get difficult at times to walk through doors (the player's collision box may have been a tad large) but overall, well done!

BAD GAME 2 by waleed122 2021-05-18T19:05:34Z

Honestly, despite the low effort put into it, I liked this game xD You even had a nice color palette going that went well with the art style. You also had some interesting features happening, like the graphics getting more and more pixelated the more you used the trampoline. The messages were funny too!

Nav's Endless Nightmare by Zizhen96 2021-05-06T04:14:23Z

Great game! The graphics, music, and gameplay are all really good. Pretty much everything just feels extremely polished, and I like how you introduce the messages at the beginning of the game - it was a really neat way to show what the character is saying/thinking and you faded the messages into the scene nicely. Unfortunately the farthest I've gotten is level 4, but maybe I can play again some time and get further :)

@swoolfeek Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you liked the game. Honestly I get what you're saying - I actually thought about that at one point, but by then I didn't really think I'd have time to redo it. @tangiblegames Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I get that - I was thinking of, after the jam possibly, updating it to where short movements don't trigger the animation (or at least, get a different, much quicker animation.)

@bonzille-games Thanks!

@skoopidy Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, and can see that. Perhaps I'll change the animation to something much shorter after the jam, like something similar to when the spirit moves into the stage after a transition.

@dk5000p Thanks for the feedback! The traversable squares are all simple, whereas the obstacles have more detailed rock designs, but I agree the indication could be made a lot more clear. I'm glad you liked the game though!

@lees-pac Thanks, I'm glad you liked my game!

@dzejpi Thanks for the feedback! Yeeeeh I'm seeing that the animation is ending up as kind of a flaw. I'll have to look into shortening it after the jam. I'm glad you liked it though!

@cg-smoothie Thanks for the feedback! I see what you're getting at. I'll probably tweak the movement a bit after the jam and see what I can do.

@ismael-rodriguez Thanks for the feedback! I was actually thinking of the same animation solution. I would have used it in the entry version, but I'd already spent so much time on the shrinking animation that I didn't feel like I could risk taking the time to reduce it to a particle burst. ^^;

Tetra Rogue by Ryan Harriman 2021-04-29T06:47:40Z

Great game! It was very entertaining and had a very neat and innovative game mechanic. I found myself having to really think about strategy, which I think was great for this game. Also, I like your description on this page. I've never really seen anyone go into so much detail about the inspiration and stuff for their ludum dare entry before, so it's cool that you put so much effort into it. I did feel that there could have been a bit more explanation in the tutorial of the game, such as which color coins were worth more. Also, I came across a bug where, if I go into the tutorial, and as soon as I get back to the main menu go back into the tutorial, the game throws a null reference exception, but other than that I think this game was really well made! I might also add, as more of a suggestion, that maybe you could have emphasized your nod towards the theme just a bit more with perhaps visual in each level that showed "your going down a level, deeper into the dungeon" but that would have course been simply an extra detail. Overall though, I really liked this game. Well done! I hope my feedback helps.

Blackout by Frasse 2021-05-01T07:17:53Z

Damn, this game had it all. The graphics were great, and the music was great, and the whole thing was just fun. I'm honestly surprised it was made in just 72 hours, even with the team it had. I also find it pretty neat that you had such a creepy mood while also a really funny one. Overall, really well done!

NecroWorld by CorruptedComputer 2021-05-01T23:34:41Z

Nice! I really liked the graphics, it kind of made me think of Blackthornprod. The game mechanic of destroying stuff when you jump was also really neat and innovative, though I would have liked if it was used a bit more, especially for the boss fight. The intro also went by kind of fast and I didn't get a chance to read some of the text before the screen faded off to the next message. Overall though, really good. Well done!

Third Party by Duckonaut 2021-05-06T02:16:42Z

Really good game! The graphics are amazing, as well as the music that accompanies it. The game mechanics are also well done - they are innovative and fun. I also like how the environment changes the deeper you go, indicating some satisfying progress. I think the only issues I found were that the sprite sorting could be improved, transitions took too long to initiate, and things started getting too challenging when the weaponized body I'm holding can get shot away before I can even get the enemy into view. Other than all that though the game was really good. Well done!

Edit: Forgot to mention a bug I found. It doesn't mess up the gameplay that much, though it does sort of act as a small cheat. If I'm holding a body when I get killed and don't drop it before I respond, I can essentially double the body. I still end up holding it when I walk out of the elevator, but the body is also respawned on the ground, creating a duplicate. Just wanted to bring to bug to your attention!

Dream Descend by Benedek Labancz 2021-05-03T00:25:11Z

Really good game! I love how you used the idea of going deeper and deeper into sleep as a response to the theme, and the dark mood and audio was pretty cool. The player sprite was nice, and I really liked the music - it was a a great touch and contributed nicely to the mood of the game, along with the floating particles, transitions, and creepy graphics. The game was also really fun and challenging, and I kept playing over and over to try and get further and further. It took a couple retries to figure out what I was supposed to be doing, but I didn't mind - you explained things enough in the description so that it was more of a fun, interesting task to figure it out. I think the only issue I had was that, while the challenge of the game is a good thing, the game feels a bit too difficult. I didn't really get a chance to use the dash much because I only managed to get to hour 2 once after many retries. A checkpoint would be nice, at least once every 1 or 2 hours would be nice. Other than that though I really liked this game. Well done!

I'm 14 and by Krac3r 2021-05-13T06:52:06Z

Nice! I like the concept, it was a neat and innovative response to the theme. There isn't much of a motivation for the player to keep going, but I think that would be a neat thing you could work on post jam if you felt up to it. For example, perhaps you could take a environmental/narrative route for gameplay. Like, you could add to the environment to create an incentive to keep going, while having some sort of character reacting to the deep sentences (more incentive for the player to keep going, to find out what might be said next or what they could write to affect the reactions.) Of course, that's up to you, and I'm sure there could be a lot of different neat ways you could expand on this. Overall, I think this game has some potential. Well done!

Never Ending Cave by Tudypie 2021-05-03T00:01:04Z

Great game! It's well polished, and honestly feels like a short horror game that someone might have spent much more time on than just a weekend. The tasks were nice, and despite being a lot of walking around it was pretty entertaining. You had enough going on everywhere to keep me entertained as I ventured "deeper and deeper" into the cave. I feel like the jumpscare of the monster could have been a bit creepier, but it was by no means bad. Overall I really liked this game. Well done!

Project Achelois by DzejPi 2021-05-01T06:31:59Z

Good game! I liked the graphics and music, they were well done. The game could have had a bit more to entertain though as you go around finding the objectives. It's nice listening to the music, but eventually I'm just watching a screen where the only moving thing is the objective sign - as it gradually shows signs of getting closer to the objective. Perhaps you could have done something to provide an incentive to keep exploring - like more frequent indication that you are making progress, like the bubbles but bigger and more abundant, or more messages as you are traveling rather than just when you encounter the objectives. I was also wondering - how much does it take to kill the enemies, if you can? I sprayed bullets at some but they didn't seem to react at all. Anyways I still thought this was a good game, and I like how you were basing it off of an exploration on Europa. Really neat way to implement the theme! Overall, well done. I hope my feedback helps!

Deeper Into The Forest by siberpunk01 2021-05-06T00:39:50Z

Nice game! The graphics were really good, and I liked the ending - nice plot twist! I had to restart at one point because the player damage animation got me clipped and stuck into a platform, but other than that this game was pretty good. Well done!

The Elevator by Redamz 2021-05-06T03:31:49Z

Really good game! The graphics are spectacular - the elevator girl model is better than a lot of anime models I've seen in games, and the elevator design is good too! The music is also really good, and I like how you stop it for drama and change it up a bit for different moods. The story was also really good - I loved the plot twist ending. I'm not going to lie, it surprised me. I think the main issue I had with it in terms of gameplay was that, while for some things my choices made a difference in the story, most of my decisions didn't do anything, which kind of took away from my sense of control and immersion. And like everyone said, it got difficult to want to try for more endings when I have to go through everything over and over again to get to an ending that might not even be new. Granted I actually did put a lot of time into trying to find different endings, but I feel like there still might be more I'm missing that I just don't feel like trying to get. The only other issue I had was that the game window was a bit large - I had to do some maneuvering of my screen set up to get the whole game in view. Other than those things though I really liked this game. It was overall really good! Well done!

Sinking Deep by JgBGDelta 2021-05-01T23:56:15Z

Great game! The gameplay is really fun, and it had me playing several times to try and get as far down as I could. My best so far is somewhere close to 3000 meters. The ambience was also a really nice touch. There were sometimes holes that appeared in places I couldn't reach, but I was able to use the (pump?) to make up for them. Overall, I really liked this game. Well done!

Guaca-Mole! by CG Smoothie 2021-05-17T06:22:55Z

Nice game! I really liked the graphics, and the concept was a neat response to the theme. I had a bug where the player disappeared after I smashed down into the boss fight, and a sort of "ending" after beating the snake to sort of let the player know "hey, you won!" would have been nice to avoid confusion, but other than that everything was pretty good. Well done!

LD49 — Unstable

The Gelato System 2K38 by Kyle Farwell 2021-10-05T02:41:33Z

Neat game! I can't believe you've simulated so much of the bash shell for the theme! I can't help but notice something sinister is about at the same time, such as how clippi's title mentions something about purgatory, though maybe it's a play on the pain of the experience you are portraying?

Unfortunately I wasn't able to enjoy much of it, though. Out of curiosity I set a driver that said it was from the future (the date command said it was the 20th century but the driver was supposed to be from 2001) and then after that the game went into an infinite loop of shutting down the computer because of fatal errors. I can't seem to figure out how to restart the game so I can try out other things.

Midnight Maintenance by Tattomoosa 2021-10-05T00:29:56Z

Great game! It was really fun, and like @tinykidtoo I really liked the signs! For some reason I read the one about the blow to the head and didn't realize it was a hint until later into the game. I was just like "Haha, indeed, that is a thing. What a funny statement of the obvious!" I also loved the ending. I think the only problem (though I was able to figure it out) was that it wasn't, as far as I know, explained anywhere that I could use shift to run and jump to farther places. Other than that though, really great game! Well done!

Dimension Collapse by AtomFox0213 2021-10-07T06:47:30Z

Great game! The graphics were great, and I liked the concept. It was a good response to the theme! I definitely think that corruption of the world the further you get into the game would have been neat! Shame you ran out of time, but I totally understand that. I think my only suggestion would have been to remove the keys from your inventory when you use them to open something, just to make it more obvious that the key was used. I continued playing after beating the game, then replayed the game, to try and see what the keys did, only to realize that I had actually used them to get the bars. Still, I had fun playing! Good job!

COME ALIVE! by Angela He 2021-10-08T07:17:46Z

Awesome game! Not going to lie, I got pretty tense a couple times there. The graphics are amazing, as well as the gameplay and music. The mechanics of moving around the rooms felt great. You created a really good horror experience - I still can't believe you did all of this within the span of one weekend.

I did notice one bug though - when I clicked continue right after finishing the game and got brought to the scene where Cyan, Pine, and Pav are waiting in Cyan's room after the "attack," there was a bug where the name + select prompts when hovering the pointer over a character didn't appear, and if I clicked on a character it zoomed in on them without bringing up a message. Strangely though, when I closed the game and opened it again, then clicked continue, I didn't have that bug.

Regardless of the one bug though, I really liked this game! Great job!

Crumbling Mind by NoeTheLazyDev 2021-10-18T00:33:01Z

Great game! This was probably one of the best I've played during LD49. I loved the graphics, music, and audio, they were amazing! The music and audio truly enhanced the experience and really set the mood for the game. The graphics felt really polished, and gave the game the feel of something I'd probably pay for. The way you expressed Anxiety and Depression as obstacles in the game was really well done. Every bit of how you handled them, such as slowing the player down and making things go dim during depression, really portrayed these issues and turned them into some innovative and challenging obstacles for the game. This was a very well made game. Great job!

The Alignment Problem by cireneikual222464 2021-10-09T07:29:13Z

Great game! The concept of an unstable AI was a neat idea! The gameplay / mechanics were pretty much just basic horror game stuff, but it was still fun! I like how the AI was actually smart enough to leave and go another way to where I was going to intercept my path, it created an neat experience as I tried to shake them off my tail and get to the final door. The ending was neat too - the plot twist was subtle, but I think I see what was happening? Anyways, that was all great, and I really liked the graphics too! It's neat that you made it using your own game engine. I think my only suggestion would be to add a crosshair or something, just so I know what I'm clicking a little more easily. Other than that though, I thought this was a fantastic game, and really liked it! Well done!

Castle fall: gatekeeper by Rs11s21n 2021-10-20T04:53:40Z

Good game! As others have said this was a neat play on the Papers Please game mechanics. And I really liked the graphics! I think the main issue I found was that (this was on the downloaded version) the rules didn't always seem to be matching up with the day. I'd be following the rules and then suddenly find that I'm losing points, then a little later the day changes and I get a rule that matches with what was going on. I was often just, rather than following the rules, letting in whatever race seemed to get me points. I was also wondering - are the halflings counted as a part of the dwarf race? During the "let in only dwarfs" phase, I found that I lost points if I turned away halflings. Other than those things though, I thought this was a good game, and I liked it! Well done!

Orbital Rescue by amkingTRP 2021-10-20T05:08:56Z

Good game! I loved the graphics, and the ambience sounded great, even though it was from a previous Ludum Dare. I also found going around saving everyone to be pretty fun, despite killing one and abandoning quite a few of them. I do agree with Frozedon in that I kind of expected to just go straight up while using the jetpack, though I guess it creates sort of a more unique mechanic to have the jetpack controlled the way it is. Overall I thought this was a pretty good game. Well done!

Spirits Low by Brandon JS Lea 2021-10-05T03:17:02Z

Great game! It's a pretty neat and innovative response to the theme. I like the concept of maintaining the mental stability of soldiers through the news, and the strategy that comes with which broadcasts you let through. Additionally the graphics are amazing, as well as the audio. The main issue I had though was that I often can't save people, because being in the front or back multiple times immediately sends a soldier away. So, needless to say, I never lasted long in the several times I played, and while the game is well made, I feel like I'd quickly start to lose interest if I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how I need to do things. Other than those problems though, I liked the game. Well done!

Order of Tharanak by ThorPalsson 2021-10-13T18:59:51Z

Good game! The graphics are awesome, and I like the enemies - they're pretty creepy! The first time I saw one I didn't know what it was as its back was facing me, so I foolishly walked around to face it and got jumpscared by it. Their attack audio is neat and creepy! The frog objects were a nice touch too, they were my friends in that strange world. I also loved the hall way mechanic at the beginning - walking forever but never reaching the end, and then figuring out how to get to the door. Pretty cool! I also liked the story going on - I didn't get to see much of it, but I could tell there was something going on with the help of the objects that were sitting around. That was a pretty neat touch of story telling! Unfortunately I didn't get very far though, as I couldn't figure out how to get passed the enemies to progress. My guess was that you throw stuff at them, but things don't seem to be thrown at where you are aiming, so I couldn't ever hit them. Still, I really enjoyed this game. Well done!

Neon Saber by Kaish 2021-10-05T08:03:36Z

Great game! The graphics / audio are well made, and I also liked the music. The concept of trying to fight enemies with an unstable weapon was really neat! It was also challenging. I couldn't make it past the red themed robot (I believe this was after the ship exploded?) Anyways, I think you did a good job on this! Well done!

The Stone Giant by UntilDawn 2021-10-09T06:44:19Z

Great game! Really liked the concept, it was a creative idea! I think the main issue I had though was that I quite often couldn't do much. I had to wait for the options to load so I could get another body part, but as I waited, the golem lost even more body parts. It would have been nice if there was a way to either fight back against the projectiles, or maybe be able to do something to make the options load faster? Nevertheless, I liked this game! The graphics and music were really well made, and as I mentioned before, I really like the concept! Well done!

Rocky Rhodes and the Cracked Case by Brainloaf Studio 2021-10-07T06:33:54Z

Amazing game! I know it was in your screenshots, but the visual novel style scene took me by surprise! It was hilarious! Then you didn't fail to continue surprising me at each scene. The idea to randomly combine multiple video game genres for the "unstable" theme was genius! Truly innovative. The ending also helped to tie everything in for the theme. Besides the awesome gameplay, the graphics and the audio were also really well done! I like how you had different styles and qualities of art for each scene. This is definitely one of my favorite entries so far! Well done!

Escorting The Unstable by EOShadows 2021-10-04T18:02:07Z

@crotonyl-alcohol Thank you! Yeah, the straps on the player’s hood were literally put there to try and differentiate the player’s design from Six xD

@vasuka Thank you! I considered adding a warning, but I wanted to kind of enhance the “unpredictable behavior” of the individual. But since you’ve brought that up in your feedback that might be something to think more about!

@sunderbird Thank you! Yeah, not going to lie I agree with you on that. I kept making mistakes during testing whenever I dashed, for some reason thinking it was tied to the WASD, but I just told myself "it's just something to get used to." But since you found that kind of annoying, it does put more light on the issue. Thanks for the feedback!

Escorting The Unstable by EOShadows 2021-10-06T19:08:28Z

Thank you, @muros ! Hmm, well, there are four ways you can lose - you get killed by your escortee or a phantom, your escortee gets killed by a phantom or you, or you or your escortee fall off a cliff. One of the escortee's unpredictable behaviors is to intentionally go walk off said cliff. I'm going to hope it was one of these that kept happening rather than a bug xD

Thank you so much, @tom-robson ! Yeah, I even had ideas for the audio as I developed the game, but I ran out of time. Couldn't even get to several other things I wanted to, such as health kits. But I'm glad you liked the game so far regardless of the lack of audio!

@thetotemguy Thank you so much, I'm glad you liked my game! I put a condition that the unstable escortee needs to be in close proximity to you when you reach the end in order to win, though I guess I could still see you being able to pick them up and book it to the end with a chance of no events occurring. I'll have to look into improving on that! Thanks for the feedback!

A Healthy Dose of Dungeon by alanxoc3 2021-10-13T02:15:34Z

Great game! Loved the the graphics and audio. I got the Insane ending - thought it was pretty neat, and you handled that situation well of having the player realize what they've just done. Using an achievement like system as your response to the "unstable" theme was an interesting choice. I liked it! Well done!

[data::loss] by ewpratten 2021-10-10T19:06:23Z

Great game! It was really fun, although rather challenging. The concept felt a lot like one of those mouse and maze/electric shock experiments, having to keep dying to eventually learn when I had to jump and dash to complete the level. I would complain about how the "death" platforms looked really similar to the normal platforms and how in the last level I for some reason die when I jump too early on the first platform with no context, but then again I'm assuming that was just part of that learn the more you die experience - you didn't want the player to easily see things ahead of time, right? It was annoying at first, but I like it - it was an innovative and bold choice of gameplay and created an interesting, fun rage game. The graphics and sound effects are also really good, I like the player sprite - its animation felt very smooth and polished. Well done!

Scrap Pilot by BjornStahl 2021-10-17T02:15:26Z

Good game! The experience of building your own aircraft was fun and allowed me to use some creativity in the game, which was a neat idea. The graphics were good and the concept was a really neat response to the theme. Unfortunately though I could only complete one mission as I couldn't figure out how to get to my second mission. I thought that I was brought near the platform I was supposed to land on, spent a long time developing something to get to it, and then found that nothing happened when I reached it and that I only gained a greater distance from my target. After that I just couldn't see how I could do anything differently to get to a different platform. Nevertheless I thought this was a really good game. Well done!

[ERROR 404] by Feesh 2021-10-04T23:51:21Z

Your game was really fun! It was hard, but in a good way. The puzzle like progression was well done. I think the main piece of advice I can give would be to possibly make the right mouse click prompt stand out more, possibly a lighter shade of grey. Other than that, I really liked the game! Well done!

FARTOPOLIS by aerloth 2021-10-05T06:10:36Z

This was really fun! You also did a great job of implementing the theme - I honestly don't know why I didn't think of that use of the word unstabled, and so far I haven't seen anyone else use it this way either. The graphics are really charming, and the strategy of moving people to different sides of the building and deciding whether or not you can or should save people was entertaining and challenging! I think the only issue I ran into was that the health you have left doesn't quite match what I can see in the health bar (perhaps the heart icon is hiding it?) Overall though, I thought this was a great game! Well done!

Psycho-unstable Journey by KenForest 2021-10-09T07:58:02Z

Good game! The graphics were great, and you did a good job with your fear factor. The car crash got me pretty good - especially since I had been looking around and looked in front of me just in time to see the car before the crash. The messages were a bit slow though, and they sometimes didn't complete before beginning the next message. I would also recommend a reverse control - I got stuck one time when I was trying to get into the gas station because I ran into a rail and couldn't move away from it. Other than those few things though, I liked the game! Well done!

Unstable Magix by AwrGameDev 2021-10-08T06:22:48Z

Nice game! It reminded me of some older games with the graphic style and game mechanic of the fire ring keeping you within a small area to fight off enemies. I liked it! Is the "not knowing how the magic will behave" referring to the size of the projectile changing? I thought that was neat - implementing the theme by making the ease of landing a shot on an enemy unstable was a pretty innovative and creative idea! I think the only issue I had was that it was easy to accidentally not be in the battle fire ring. In my first playthrough I just ended up running into the boundary on the outside of the fire ring, then I explored the town, found the path again, and made it into the last fire ring arena. I also found that an issue - I didn't quite know what the right path was. Perhaps you could have something to guide the player down the path - like maybe signs along the road that point you in the right direction. Moving passed those two things though, I thought the game was good. Well done!

Fragments of Memory by SunnyRx 2021-10-15T02:48:25Z

Great game! I loved the graphics, they were very well made, and a charming part of the game. You left out audio for the ratings, so I can only assume the credit to it wasn't yours, but you still did a good job picking the music out - it was a great touch to the atmosphere and mood of the game. The game mechanic of jumping to each fragment of memory was really fun! I've seen something similar before, but I haven't seen it used too frequently, and the idea to use it with the concept of trying to collect your memory together during unstable times was a neat and innovative idea! The intro to each level was also really nice, though it did start to get annoying after dying several times, when I just wanted to get back to playing and try again. Additionally with that intro, I found that I can begin playing before the intro finishes and the camera locks onto the player. I could just simply learn patience before immediately launching away, but it would definitely be nice if that was just not capable of happening, as it got kind of annoying when I just launched away off screen. Overall though, I really liked this game. Well done!

Server Hell by ChristianB 2021-10-05T08:30:16Z

Nice game! The graphics are great, and I liked the audio as well. It was an interesting choice to respond to the theme like this, interpreting it as a hectic situation, and I thought it was neat! I think the main issue I found though was that things got out of control too easily and quickly. I couldn't find the fire extinguisher so there were fires all the time that I couldn't stop. Perhaps making the urgent tasks less frequent would help? Anyways, other than that I thought the game was pretty good! Well done!

DerangeDoodle by EstevaoGraciano 2021-10-13T02:34:01Z

Fantastic game! The graphics and audio are very well done, and overall the game was really fun! The way the game makes you have to use your "instability" wisely to progress was a neat idea. I enjoyed playing this game a lot, though I couldn't make it to the end. Good job!

Emotion Vessels by Terri_GamingLunya 2021-10-09T06:56:25Z

Great game! The graphics were really good, and the game mechanic was too! I found the concept to be quite innovative, and it was pretty fun to play! I think the main issue I found though was that it was pretty easy to fall off while trying to push negative emotions away. Perhaps you could make the player be able kick the emotions away or something, so they wouldn't have to get close to the edge? But other than that, I really liked this game! Your idea to answer the theme of "unstable" with balancing emotions was really neat. Well done!

Shotgun King: the Final Checkmate by benjamin 2022-04-09T00:55:04Z

Awesome game! I usually like to play and rate games that are still below 20 ratings, but this game just looked so amazing that I had to play it. The graphics immediately drew me in, but the gameplay concept also really got my attention! It is such a unique idea, and really fun too. It also does such a great job responding to the theme, with the idea that once the king is alone in chess, the player's loss is inevitable. Give the King a shotgun, and the usually boring experience of waiting for the enemy to take out your king was made really fun. The impact of blasting away enemy pieces with the shot gun felt really satisfying. The sound effects and music were also really good, and overall everything felt so polished and complete. I have no complaints. Well done!

Sickly Victorian Boy by CSdoesCS 2022-04-08T01:15:06Z

Great game! I loved the graphics, and your concept and response to the theme was a great idea! I did take a while to figure out what I was supposed to do to in response to him wanting to get close to the fire (I kept trying to find a way to bring the fire to him somehow) and there was a time where I had a lemon in my inventory but it wouldn't let me give it to the kid when he was talking about fruits and vegetables. Other than that though, I thought this was a really good game, and I liked it! Well done!

Different Strokes by Scott Steffes 2022-04-09T22:12:50Z

Great game! The concept is so unique and fun. Already the graphics besides the paintings are really good, and the transitions as more hall ways pop up feels nicely polished. Really well done!

Don't Wake Me Up! by fjlucas 2022-04-05T22:25:53Z

Great game! The graphics are amazing, and the concept was really good! I think the only issue I ran into was that the hands often appeared to make the touch response, despite being completely away from any of my limbs. I couldn't tell whether they were actually counting it towards me waking up, though. But other than that, I really liked your game! Well done!

Night Frights by TheInkSkeleton 2022-04-08T00:11:16Z

Great game, I really liked it! I kind of interpreted the response to the theme you chose to be "your nightmares come to life will inevitably kill you in the end, no matter what. But try to live for as many nights as you can." The monsters being scribbled drawings was simple, but still pretty creepy. The graphics, audio, and gameplay were all really good and well made, and the whole experience just felt nicely scary. I like how there was different things you had to do to get different monsters to go away, and even the instructions on how to do so felt scary in a good way. It felt almost like a jump scare when I turned on the lights and there was the drawings of the monsters on the wall - I particularly had that "oh no" feeling when I saw the spider drawing. I have no complaints. This was a fantastic entry to the jam, well done!

The Endless Night by Arivenzys 2022-04-12T00:20:03Z

Great game! Really liked the graphics, and the music was pretty good as well. The gameplay was also really fun the more I got used to it. The only problem I ran into was that at one point I found some of the guards stuck in a tree, but overall I really liked this game. Well done!

Great game! It was pretty fun, and I really liked the audio! Very interesting concept as well, made for a really fun and humorous experience. Ultimate Mushroom Damocles Revenger by Snowirbis 2022-04-12T00:06:44Z

Nice game! Loved the graphics, and the gameplay was pretty fun. The audio was also really good as well. I feel like some more impact when getting hit by the hand's blade or hitting the hand with my blade would have been nice (like an animation or something) and I ran into an error where I could still kill the hand and win the game despite having died and gotten the game over overlay, but overall I liked the game. Well done!

The Flame by Feesh 2022-04-05T03:49:37Z

Great game! Really liked the music and graphics, and the gameplay was quite fun. The simple gameplay in combination with the music really created, as you mention in your description, a nice, calming experience. I think the main problem I ran into was that the stars in the background sometimes blended in with the stars that were coming at me, and I ended up shooting some stars at nothing. It only happened one time though, so I don't know how much of a problem that really is. But other than that, I really liked your game! Well done!

Decontamination by KenForest 2022-04-06T19:54:12Z

The Assessment by Okamit 2022-04-08T00:51:15Z

Awesome game! The graphics are really nice, as well as the music and sound effects! The minigames were really fun too, and the humor of the intro as well as the short musical number in-between minigames really does give that WarioWare vibe! Overall, I really liked this. I have no complaints! Well done!

Oh, and as I believe I've seen others mention, I really like how the background of the web game blends in with the page. It made the game page feel really nice!

Dawn of the Karen by BougieBirdie 2022-04-05T22:14:28Z

Great game! Loved the concept and how you interpreted the theme. The graphics were nice, and the announce audio felt really good and helped to enhance the context of the game. I think the main issue I found was that the Karens appeared to have messages of some sort when ever shot them, but I could read or see what they were as the Karens and their messages were thrown off the screen too quickly for me to read. Other than that though, I thought you did a good job on everything! Well done!

Slime Defence by Hammy0212 2022-04-12T00:37:38Z

Great game! Really loved the graphics, and while it took a bit to get used to, I liked how unique the controls were. I did find that by the time I could get close to getting the automatic weapons thing, there were so many slimes that I had to constantly spend credits on rebuilding walls, so I couldn't get the chance to use it (then again, this may just be because I'm not very good at the game). But overall, I liked your game. Well done!

The Last Nightmare by Aniki_ta 2022-04-09T00:26:27Z

Great game! I really liked the enemy, it took a while for me to actually be able to catch a glimpse of it before it would get me (it kept getting me from behind), but when I finally got to see it running after me it was a pretty creepy experience! Also, you call this a "generic" horror game, but I actually like the unique take you made on the common "notes all over the place" thing. In most horror games I've seen, the notes are left by other people in the story, which never made a whole lot of sense (why would someone just randomly scribble a note someplace?) but you made it make a whole lot more sense, the story being about a person stuck in some kind of loop and leaving notes around to help themselves figure out how to escape. That being said, I personally couldn't figure out how to finish the game. Are you just supposed to collect all the notes, or is it the fire ball things that you want to get? Other than that bit of confusion though, I really liked this game. Great graphics, audio, and storyline. Well done!

Death and Taxes by aasimow 2022-04-20T22:50:00Z

Great game! Loved the graphics, and the music did a great job fitting the humor and mood of the game. I also like the walk animation of the characters, it really enhances the humor. The gameplay was fun too! I got a score of 9 days and $17 dollars stolen. Overall, I liked the game, and didn't run into any problems. Well done!

Brakeless by silkmeloni 2022-04-05T06:34:35Z

Nice game! I liked it! The graphics were good, and I like how much there was to the town! I did run into an invisible object and a couple of the issues that others have mentioned like glitching through the floor, but other than that I think you did a good job! Well done!

Also, I see you are having issues with the webgl version (understandable, I had the issue myself for my own game.) I found this video which mentions some more stuff you could do to fix the problem, if it might help (it includes what someone else here commented a link to as well as a couple other things) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlFimhxdA1Q

An Average Day At The Cat Cafe by alexrose 2022-10-17T03:42:20Z

Great game! The graphics and audio are amazing. I like how the different drinks have different orders of ingredients, and how some of the late night customers asked for things not on the menu like black coffee, I feel like it made it more fun and immersive. I also like the idea of having the cat in the corner that serves no purpose but to entertain. The game felt challenging at first, but after several days it got to where it felt almost too easy. That's not necessarily a bad thing as the cycle of getting the drinks was fun on its own without the challenge, though after ten nights I ended up just deciding to go rogue and intentionally lose to see what would happen. All in all though, I thought this was a very good game. Well done!

Lights Out, Fright's Out! by TechnoNugget 2022-10-04T01:23:56Z

Great game! Loved the 3d / pixel combo of the graphics. The gameplay was also really nice, I like how you not only had monsters that appear in the dark, but also made it so that you needed the dark to figure out some of the puzzles. That last puzzle was difficult but it was satisfying when I figured it out. I don't think I discovered any problems. Well done!

Missdemanor by alaah 2022-10-05T22:08:33Z

Great game! I got stuck somewhere near the end (couldn't get past the enemies) but I love the game mechanics. The concept of not being able to move without losing health and then basically stealing it from other characters to progress was pretty neat and fun. The graphics are great, I love the player sprite and the animation of the hair. The sound effects are nice too. Overall, I liked the game. Well done!

> deploy helper bot by Chartle 2022-10-12T16:14:03Z

Great game! Loved the graphics. The concept was pretty cool too, and implemented the theme well. It was funny because at one point I was like "man, if only this game had a way to speed up the drone". Then I went into another room and found the power-up just as I was saying that to myself haha. But yeah, overall very nice game. Well done!

Finding Time by b4ux1t3 2022-10-09T05:44:52Z

Nice game! Very cool and innovative concept. I found the controls a bit too floaty, but that was the only issue I found. Also I loved the main menu / game over screens, the idea of moving the cursor over the graphics and having them light up was pretty cool. Overall I thought this was a good game. Well done!

You Are Not Alone by detectiveLosos 2022-10-09T00:52:27Z

Great game! Loved the graphics and the audio. I liked the concept too, it sort of felt like a mix of the 47th game jam theme and the current one. The concept of having your clones do the same thing as you was pretty cool (I messed things up for myself in the beginning when I attacking all my clones, so all of my clones kept killing each other. I restarted and made better choices haha.) Overall, nice game. Well done!

TheCameraman by PxGluz 2022-10-09T01:11:17Z

Great game! The graphics and audio are very good, and the concept is even better. The idea of getting to see pictures the monster takes is very cool. I think my main suggestion would be to allow a crosshair, so interacting with things can be a bit easier. Other than that though, very good game. Well done!

[WebGL/HTML5] Music Demon by leorid 2022-10-04T01:32:35Z

Nice game! I couldn't figure out how to progress after the first checkpoint, but the graphics and concepts of the game are really nice.

Dark Points by anstabo 2022-10-09T04:52:12Z

Dang, this was an amazing game. One of the best of ludum dare 51, I think. The idea of a horror game where the only way you can see is through scanning the area was amazing, and made a very ominous situation whenever it picked up human bodies. It had me very curious about the mysteries of what I was walking around in, and what happened. The end was very cool too. Even though it only consisted of the dots of the scanner, the graphics were great, and the audio was also very good too. I think my only complain is that after playing for a while, there ends up being so much scanned areas in your vision that it's hard to see what you're doing. Other than that, I thought this game was very awesome. I could not manage to find the door that the 4th key goes to (and had never seen anything that relates to a 6th key or door) but what I did find was a great experience. Well done!

Waves by RiptideStudio 2022-10-09T05:17:30Z

Nice game! The graphics were really good, and I loved the music. I like the effect you had with the red dots every time run into something. Can't think of anything to suggest. Well done!

Holospecter by theStoff 2022-10-04T03:53:03Z

Great game! It gave me Celeste vibes while playing. The graphics are amazing, and the levels are very challenging but still fun. My controller gave me a whole lot of problems while playing but that sounds like a me problem haha. The audio and voice acting were all very well done, and your response to the theme was really good too. Overall, I thought this was a great game. Well done!

Citri Plays Noirwood by AploveStudio 2022-10-09T02:05:29Z

Great game! Loved the graphics and audio. The idea of making a horror game with a person commenting on the game / talking to the chat the whole time was pretty neat. Unfortunately I couldn't get all the relics but the game was still really fun. Well done!

Hourglass by WooshDUde 2022-10-04T03:07:41Z

Great game! I love the pixel graphics and audio. The gameplay was fun and challenging. I annoyingly kept pressing restart whenever I meant to press s to change the time, but otherwise pretty fun. Well done!

Every Ten Seconds by EOShadows 2022-10-03T23:00:52Z

Hi, @she-wrote ! Thanks or playing, I'm glad you liked it!

Thanks, @vilmantas! Funny thing is that was all planned originally. I thought of having some small but difficult thing you have to do in order to escape the cycles, but I kind of quickly realized I wouldn't have time for that. As to the extra land there is actually a bit of land currently being hidden by a mask that I didn't get around to having get revealed xD.

Every Ten Seconds by EOShadows 2022-10-04T01:33:58Z

@elliescape Thanks so much for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it. And thanks for the feedback! I agree, that would be a great feature.

Every Ten Seconds by EOShadows 2022-10-04T06:03:09Z

@pennycook Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, that's the default font or Unity. Definitely could have tried to setting it to a font to fit the rest of the graphics more. Thanks for the feedback!

@megafuze Thanks for playing, I'm glad you liked it!

@beetlebox Thanks for playing! Darn, thanks for the feedback. I can never seem to get those sound effects right apparently haha. Glad you enjoyed everything else though!

@mattguil Thank you very much, I'm glad you liked it!

Every Ten Seconds by EOShadows 2022-10-04T23:25:10Z

@r3l0ad1 Thank you so much for playing! I'm glad you liked it. And thanks for the feedback, I had at one point considered making it not stack (and then maybe game over or something if you couldn't complete a task) so I'm glad you liked how it currently is!

@vera-babchenko Thanks so much for playing, I'm glad you liked it!

@gossian Thank you so much for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yeah the imbedded stuff is weird, sorry about that. Thanks for the input about the movement though, that is definitely interesting.

Every Ten Seconds by EOShadows 2022-10-06T23:18:41Z

@house-trap-charlie Thanks for playing, I'm glad you liked it! Agreed, there are a lot of sound effects / music I would have liked to implement. I had thought of making the clock ticking go up in pitch as it got closer to the end of an iteration, for example. Very unfortunate I couldn't get to that. ^^;

Every Ten Seconds by EOShadows 2022-10-09T02:08:15Z

@technonugget Thanks for playing, I'm glad you liked it! Dang though, I've never gotten to that many iterations haha. I think my best was 40.

Every Ten Seconds by EOShadows 2022-10-15T15:49:01Z

@rdawg7 Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed it. And thanks for the feedback! I actually started on extra rooms to popup throughout the game where more tasks could appear, but I scrapped it so I could focus on other features during the time constraint. I think they're still in the game actually, just deactivated haha.

Every Ten Seconds by EOShadows 2022-10-17T21:41:47Z

@lene Thanks for playing, I'm glad you liked it! That's my bad, I meant to have the tasks give some kind of message to give some explanation about why a player couldn't complete a task, but I couldn't quickly figure out how given how I implemented the task messaging. You need to first go get the seeds (the unsuspicious bags somewhere in the map) to feed the bird (make sure the UI says you are actually holding the seeds before interacting with the bird).

Radar Rider by 3LSTMsInATrenchcoat 2022-10-04T06:28:45Z

Great game! I love the concept of the radar, it was very innovative. It could get tiring waiting for the radar to come all the way back around so I could see where I was, but overall it was really fun. Adding the enemies to the already interesting challenges of maneuvering around the stars just really added to the experience. I really liked this game, well done!

Sushi Bushi by Frozentape 2022-10-17T03:57:53Z

Nice game! Great graphics, animations, and sound effects. I thought the game, while kind of a short experience, was pretty fun. I also respect your decision to remove the aspect of your game that responded to the theme by making the dishes go faster, it probably would not have felt as fun if the dishes moved that slow. Overall, very nice game. Well done!

Ludum Dare by She Wrote 2022-10-04T01:45:05Z

Great game! I love how you responded to the theme, it was a very innovative and funny concept. I couldn't seem to get it to work before my anger or the damage got too high, though as some of the others are saying, maybe that was intentional, who knows xD.

CATS AND COFFEE by Graylure 2022-10-05T00:16:17Z

Great game! Loved the graphics and the audio. Having the kittens just come rolling in and then having them hiss at you when you put them back into their play pin was just fun and hilarious. The repetitive task of getting customers their drinks was also really fun to. I've got no complaints other than maybe make the winning game screen come in slower or something, as while repetitively clicking on a cat the win screen popped up and then I accidentally clicked on "play another game" so I didn't get a chance to see what was on the screen. Overall though, I really liked the game. Well done!

CATS AND COFFEE by Graylure 2022-10-05T00:50:17Z

@clonze Oh haha I guess that means I lost then. Oops xD

Snail Gale by moasip 2022-10-05T00:08:32Z

Good game! The graphics and audio are great (I especially like the walking animation of the player, and the sound effect of the bare feet one the floor), and I also like the concept. Though having to just stand and wait to transform into a snail so that I can vent can get kind of repetitive and slow, especially when I've got to do it after every time I die. However I think this is just a minor problem and maybe adding a feature where the player can also force themselves to transform (though maybe be unable to transform back just to keep the challenge there) might fix the problem. Other than that though, I thought this was good. Well done!

Cat Blaster by Charred Axolotl 2022-10-21T02:47:59Z

Nice game! Shame you couldn't take credit for the music as a rather enjoyed it, it went really well with the game. The graphics were great too, I like the way you had the flames indicating that the kill shot was ready. The concept was neat too, and the idea of needing to dodge enemies and stun enemies to survive made waiting for the kill shot to load not so bad, plus the additional idea that the stun shots make it take slightly longer to load made things more interesting. Overall, very nice game. Well done!

Lock Up by CarrotVan 2022-10-05T00:48:33Z

Nice game! The graphics are awesome and I love the mood you set for the the game. Do your choices affect the game though? It felt to me as if whatever I chose the result was still the same. Other than that though, I thought this was a nice game. Well done!

Seasons Journey by Haotian Chen 2022-10-06T17:09:58Z

Amazing game. The graphics and audio are great, but perhaps even better was the game mechanics. They were very innovative, providing a very challenging and yet fun gameplay. The idea of having to time things just right with the seasons was neat, and resulted in some interesting puzzles. The way you also outline the things you can stand on with white was also a smart graphical decision. Overall I really liked this. Well done!

LD54 — Limited Space

Test of Vision by Feesh 2023-10-08T02:00:10Z

@rsheepdv Thanks for playing, I'm glad you liked the art! We originally had a much bigger idea that involved the inventory system, such as using the "limited space" theme to make it so that the inventory can not only increase but also shrink in size, and allow you to collect many weapons and items that have durability. Unfortunately we didn't have the time to implement all of this.

@aluminumfool Thanks for playing, I'm glad you liked it! Haha yes, collecting sticks, the main mechanic of the game.

Test of Vision by Feesh 2023-10-09T02:05:22Z

@arivaneverdingen Thanks for playing, glad you liked the music and art!

@davision Thanks for playing! Glad you like the art style, I was trying something new with a pencil brush that kind of smears downwards. Yes, we definitely agree that the game is incomplete, we had a lot more planned that we couldn't get to, such as the inventory system having a bigger role in the game mechanics as well some some mechanics that had to do with the lighting. But I'm glad you liked what made it into the game!

Test of Vision by Feesh 2023-10-09T23:42:50Z

@bobafett89 Thanks for playing, glad you liked the art style! Oh heck yeah we had so much more planned than walking around killing enemies. Unfortunately progress was slow and we couldn't do much in the time limit.

@daxtear Thank you!

@hexyvexy Glad you liked the art and music! Absolutely agree, we also wish we could have done more with the game.

Test of Vision by Feesh 2023-10-12T18:26:00Z

@cocoplant Thanks for playing, glad you liked the atmosphere! Yeah, unfortunately we didn't have the time to implement very much gameplay, so you probably have no need for instruction because you have probably already done everything you can haha.

@enderswype Thanks for playing! Yeah, unfortunately that's all there is really, we didn't give ourselves enough time to do much else. We originally had plans of various types of weapons in addition to the stick, all with durability to eventually break and force you to find other weapons.

The Commute by Hotpaw 2023-10-08T03:08:56Z

Nice game! Loved the graphics, especially when it came to the side view. The monsters and the train kind of reminded me a bit of Spirited Away, which I thought was a cool idea for the theme/mood of the game. Also found the mechanics for the side view pretty neat. I made the mistake of not checking the game instructions and for a while thought the side view was just a game over screen or something, but once I figured out what was actually happening I did pretty ok. Overall very nice game, well done!

Crowded Mind by rsheepdv 2023-10-08T02:19:59Z

Nice game! Great graphics, mood, and mechanics. I really like the way you did the graphics for the darkness, it was much cooler and more creative than just using lights, and also fit with the theme better. Also like the tutorial and how you introduced the breathing mechanic, although I do wish that after already going through it once that I could have the option to skip it. Didn't really make it very far due to the amount of time it took to get going again, but everything looked good from what I saw. Well done!

Karl's Labyrinth by xbolinger3 2023-10-03T04:10:37Z

Very good! The graphics are nice, and the fog adds a nice touch to the environment and sets a cool mood for the game. Pretty fun exploring the maze, though I have not yet been able to get past one of the enemies. I like the sort of "bread crumb" mechanic with the light orbs, doubling as a way of seeing the paths as well. It would be nice to be able to get a higher angle with the camera so I can click on the spaces easier, and sometimes for some reason I could not get the projectile magic going, clicking on the enemies doesn't seem to do anything (though then again maybe there's an aspect of the mechanics I'm not noticing). Other than those two things though I thought this was great overall. Well done!
