SUBMERCILESS II by grandtheftmarmot 2021-05-02T00:48:34Z

The menu screen was really funny. I never figured out how to aim though. It always seemed to be random if I could hit or not. Cool idea though.

Bad Night by vknauss 2021-05-01T01:37:08Z

It seems interesting but I was dragging the body for a long time and couldn't find where to go next. Not sure I was going the right way or what I was supposed to do after getting him into the forest.

Knight With A Gun by Kobi Hawk 2021-05-13T01:03:54Z

I think it came together as a decent twin stick shooter. My suggestion would be to have the camera zoom out a little so you can see more of the map. You're so close to the character it's hard to see what's near you. Also a larger map might be a good idea too.

Depth by SaraJS 2021-04-30T02:14:35Z

It's tough but a cool idea. Making 3D games like this in GMS2 seems like it would be challenging.

Celestial Corruption by godsboss 2021-05-04T01:22:13Z

I had fun playing. My only suggestion would be to add a power up or upgraded weapon to vary the game play some.

beyond the sea by Keke 2021-05-01T23:56:35Z

I had fun playing. The art style is cool, but navigating the island initially was a little difficult. I appreciate the quick resurface button, it helps a lot! I wasn't sure what giving fish to the people on the island did, but I kept trading with them anyway.

Under Pressure by R3L0ad1 2021-05-15T00:32:36Z

The underwater effects and fish look great. At first I wasn't sure if I was hitting the air bubbles right but then I accidentally fell inside one and figured it out. I didn't see the shark the whole time though. Also I got down to about 250 and then just couldn't see anything. Maybe that's the bottom. Cool idea though.

Snek17 by KekkoDude 2021-05-13T01:07:42Z

My suggestion would be to speed up movement a little bit. It's painfully slow in the beginning. Also some sound effects and music would go a long way.

Deepest Sword by Strega 2021-05-03T00:11:31Z

Cool game mechanic. It's unique and interesting. Art and animations look great too. I had an issue though when my sort was the 2nd length, sometimes I would get stuck trying to move under platforms, but it wasn't long enough to go to higher platforms easily.

Abyssonaut by thomas-olsson 2021-05-01T01:18:21Z

It's really well done for such a short period of time. Sprites, animations, sound, and gameplay are all well done. It's so fun to just fly around. Once you get the egg it's really suspenseful too.

Depth-First Search by lpghatguy 2021-05-04T01:58:02Z

I like the game overall. The first few times I started though I was killed instantly by an enemy behind me. It's a little difficult to fly with any precision, so getting the quarks can be really challenging.

Into The Forest by megalukes 2021-04-30T02:05:08Z

Overall looks and plays great. It feels like it could have been a commercial release almost. I really like the animation, lighting effects, and overall gameplay.

Derpy Deep Drive by Extrone 2021-05-04T01:45:53Z

Made it 1,581. It's really polished. Graphics look great and it sounds great too. Controls are responsive. A couple new hazard types and a power up or two and this game is ready to ship.

FishyFish by PSiv 2021-05-04T01:50:39Z

I thought the music added a relaxing aspect to the game.

Bunny Bunny Dig Dig by ZakAmana 2021-05-02T23:53:11Z

It looks great and plays great. I don't know how you can make something so polished in such a little time.

Generic Dungeon Crawler by Cipery 2021-05-02T00:41:45Z

Character models look cool and animate well. Add some environment graphics, sound, and cool attacks and I think this would be fun.

Deep Mind by SuperRubbingGlue 2021-05-02T00:38:24Z

Yeah I couldn't get it to load either. I tried a few different things but always crashed on start up.

Swarm Crawl by YetRecallLaw 2021-05-01T01:31:16Z

This was fun and original. Limited lighting definitely increases the challenge too. It crashed on me twice when I got to level 3 though. Not sure what happened but entirely possible it could be my pc.

MIND LINKER by LanaLux 2021-05-04T01:41:46Z

Interesting take on the theme. The voice acting was great and really made it come alive. I got stuck in the area with Maddy though where it got really dark and couldn't find my way around the level anymore.

Too Shallow by Squee_Z97 2021-05-15T00:51:05Z

It plays pretty good, but there were some graphical errors with the floor. I guess it's from the tile system or something where there are long seams between tiles showing sometimes. I think it might be nice if the knife was closer to the character instead of floating so far out. Crossbow shoots too slow to be very useful.

The Deep Woods is finish and you can play it !!!! by Math-s 2021-05-01T02:04:43Z

I couldn't figure out where to go. It said there was a road, but I couldn't find it. I wondered around for a while aimlessly and then it got dark. A few more signposts or land marks might be helpful.

Blackout by Frasse 2021-05-03T00:27:26Z

Great game! Reminds me of Maniac Mansion a little. The art, epic spooky soundtrack, and point and click game play all came out great! I'd suggest someway to let the player know what objects / areas of the room the player can interact with. I couldn't figure out what to do after getting the green mask. I'm guessing get Nicotine? I looked upstairs but didn't see anything.

Deeper by Soulcube 2021-05-15T00:26:07Z

I fell way down until I hit bottom, but wasn't sure what to do from there. The swing mechanic seems interesting but the things I can try to attach to were all out of view, so I couldn't tell when to use it. I like the text in the background to help tell a story. I fell so fast though I think I missed a lot of it.

Sea Floor by 2ssssoooo 2021-05-13T00:59:09Z

It's easy to play and fun for a few minutes. After I reached the ocean floor I stopped for a second then kept going deeper? I guess it loops back through. Some music and sound would help out the game experience a lot.

ESCAFANDRA by MOTOCHORRO666 2021-05-02T00:01:55Z

I wanted to play, but it got stuck in the opening scene. It just kept repeating the same dialog over and over.

Get Down by GroundDoon 2021-05-04T02:03:19Z

It was fun but sometimes I would go a few thousand feet and no obstacles would spawn. I like the music and art.

I'm So Deep by liammasters 2021-05-02T23:56:17Z

I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do so my poems would be liked. Interesting idea though.

FruitLies by Jake B. 2021-05-01T02:01:23Z

I liked it. Art style reminded me of Scott Pilgrim. I think adding some length would really make it challenging and more interesting because you'd have to remember your answers longer.

Asterisk by Crychair 2021-05-03T00:04:55Z

Overall really impressive. I really liked the voice acting and music. Character designs and other art look great too. There's a lot of digging games this jam, but the polish makes this one stand out.

The power of the deep by Tris250 2021-05-09T01:32:11Z

I had fun playing. I wasn't sure if the power ups were good or not. I kept dying after picking them up and wasn't sure what benefit they were, so I found it was best to just avoid them all. Player and monster are looks good and music was nice too. I think it would be cool if there was a little heads up on the level transitions, they happen suddenly.

Deeper Into The Forest by siberpunk01 2021-05-02T23:27:26Z

@lrvstudios We were intending to add music, but ran out of time. Thanks for the compliment about Ori! It wasn't an inspiration for the design, but looking back I can kind of see how it might bring up that feeling. The lighting system is pretty intensive, and I didn't have time to optimize. If we ever revisit it though we'll be optimizing it and adjusting collisions for the enemies.

Deeper Into The Forest by siberpunk01 2021-05-02T23:30:31Z

@yetrecalllaw The lighting system is not built into GMS2. The base of it was a plugin that someone else made, but I had to adjust it a lot to get the effect we were looking for. We spent so much time with lighting that we didn't notice the difficulty spike until after we had submitted.

Deeper Into The Forest by siberpunk01 2021-05-02T23:32:56Z

@vknauss Thanks for playing! The polished look is mostly due to the artist. She made lots of art super fast.

Deeper Into The Forest by siberpunk01 2021-05-02T23:35:15Z

@jarmustard Thanks for playing. Yeah I felt like the art and lighting came together, but we didn't have any more time to add other mechanics. I really wish we would have had time to add something to make the game play more unique. Maybe we'll revisit it sometime.

Deeper Into The Forest by siberpunk01 2021-05-02T23:37:01Z

@matterlinx Thanks for playing! We worked a while on the lighting to get the effect we wanted. It ate up a lot of our dev time in the jam but I think it was worth it.

Deeper Into The Forest by siberpunk01 2021-05-02T23:39:29Z

@phil-lesnar Thanks for playing! We weren't sure if we could get the story in because of time, but we thought even just a little would help it feel like more of an overall experience.

Deeper Into The Forest by siberpunk01 2021-05-02T23:41:55Z

@crychair We really wanted to add a few more levels but ran out of time. If we revisit it, we'll definitely be adding music, more levels, and better sound effects.

Deeper Into The Forest by siberpunk01 2021-05-02T23:43:38Z

@megalukes Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.

Deeper Into The Forest by siberpunk01 2021-05-02T23:46:32Z

@conrad123 We appreciate the kind words. After rushing for the 3 days I'm so surprised when people compliment how clean it came out. It just seemed like such a jumble until the very last few minutes. Yeah we will probably expand the story a little and add some additional levels if we go back to it.

Deeper Into The Forest by siberpunk01 2021-05-02T23:49:04Z

@nsadie Sorry about the difficulty. The collisions with the enemies need to be adjusted and I think we'll probably change it so to that you restart a level instead of the entire game if we decide to update it. It wasn't meant to be so punishing, but we didn't realize those issues until we were already submitted.

Deeper Into The Forest by siberpunk01 2021-05-04T01:10:47Z

@woahitsjeff Thank you for the compliments! Glad you liked it. We didn't take direct inspiration from Ori, but we take it as a compliment. I feel like I need to check that game out now.

Deeper Into The Forest by siberpunk01 2021-05-04T01:14:26Z

@boclow Yeah I was programming the game on my desktop and didn't realize how much power was being used to do the lighting system. When I switched to my 10 year old laptop to upload the game and test the installer, I was like "ohhhh, that's not good". We were out of time though. If we go back to it I think I can streamline it to make it run smoother with less power.

Deeper Into The Forest by siberpunk01 2021-05-07T01:31:41Z

@noteworthy Thank you for the compliments! The shadow system definitely needs to be optimized. It takes a lot of power and causes the jumps to feel kind of floaty at times. Sorry about the death punishment. We didn't realize there were actually some hard bits and just left it to reset the game on death.

Deeper Into The Forest by siberpunk01 2021-05-07T01:35:10Z

@jose-bonilla @eoshadows Thank you both for playing! There is a problem with the player's collision box that in some circumstances can get you stuck to a platform. Sorry! I thought I had fixed it so it couldn't happen anymore. I'll definitely need to look at that again.

Deeper Into The Forest by siberpunk01 2021-05-08T01:09:02Z

@bobafett89 Thanks! I agree about the invincibility frames. There is about a half second invincibility window right now, but it still needs some work. When you say "add more impact from a hit", do you mean add more screen shake or more damage or more bounce back from the danger object?

Deeper Into The Forest by siberpunk01 2021-05-09T01:03:22Z

@tris250 Thank you for playing and your feedback! Sorry for the bug. There is some bounce when damaged, and unfortunately right now it can bounce you inside of a wall. I know how to fix it, but didn't have time. I guess we're not supposed to keep updating the game until voting is over?

Deeper Into The Forest by siberpunk01 2021-05-09T01:09:44Z

@bobafett89 I see what you mean. Yeah the current setup is just moving the player's position instantly away on a hit (teleportation). I think adjusting and updating this will improve game feel. I'll also take another look at the bounce distance. Great feedback!

Deeper Into The Forest by siberpunk01 2021-05-17T01:56:25Z

@retro-banana-man-nl Thanks for playing! Yeah the idea was that the deeper you get into the forest, the darker it would get, so you would need to hurry and pick up the stars to increase the player's light (and field of view). We didn't have time to adjust the light ranges though so it gets pretty tough once it's fully dark.

Deep Dive to the wormhole by Retro Banana Man NL 2021-05-01T01:53:17Z

It was fun, but sometimes I can't drill the blocks in front of me and I'm not sure why. Also it would be cool if the upgrade store could do the goods conversion instead of having to go to the shop first.

Xelam by Bloodbane 2021-05-02T00:06:46Z

Great sounds and music. I like the game overall, but I had a difficult time shooting where I wanted to.

Space Cave by Timo Gass 2021-05-04T01:27:13Z

Cool game. It was always exciting to try to move down to the next floor and see what was down there. The movement felt really good. I found that I mostly didn't shoot and almost always tried to outrun enemies.

Vax Quest by not-tomo 2021-05-04T01:54:06Z

Interesting concept. It was too tough for me to get very far though. Maybe consider a small life bar

GoDeeper by Shoter99 2021-05-02T00:33:29Z

I like the idea but it was hard to stop my momentum so that I landed where I wanted to. The difficulty curve is pretty sharp too.

The deepest curse by Bobafett89 2021-05-09T01:41:23Z

I had fun playing. The start menu options a little overwhelming when starting for the first time. I had an issue where sometimes the player wouldn't jump. If I died again, when the character re-spawned I could jump again though.

Fast Digger by epic kid cool 2021-05-02T00:37:42Z

It might be more interesting if the reset interval was a little longer and there was more to dig into.

Footsteps by Aaron Butterworth 2021-05-10T02:28:16Z

I really enjoyed progressing through the story and the voice acting. I wasn't sure what kind of effect you were going for by not having a player character model. It was a little confusing at times.

Trooper! by CryoCyanide 2021-05-02T00:12:33Z

Voice acting was great, but I couldn't figure out what to do. I just kept falling and dying. Is there a parachute? Interesting concept.

Deep Down by PyR0 2021-05-02T00:30:16Z

The map viewer is interesting, but it's not really a game. Hope you make it in time next jam.

Train to Eureka by Steganographia Games 2021-05-15T00:45:39Z

It's a solid visual novel. Story and characters are interesting. Music is nice too. A little more detailed backgrounds would go a long way I think. Overall really cool

Dungeon Painter by IanTheBee 2021-05-02T23:59:02Z

I like the idea. It reminds me of Unfinished Swan a little.

The Witching Hour by DamonWakes 2021-05-04T02:21:32Z

Interesting game. I liked the writing. It would be cool if you could add some music and sound.

LD54 — Limited Space

The High Seas by someone 2023-10-08T00:17:43Z

I wasn't able to make much progress. I kept starving or getting sunk before I could do anything. I think starting in the player in a safer area first so they can get used to what's going on might be a good addition. Was I supposed to be robbing the other ships or are they all the navy?

LIGHTDANCER by xk_the_name 2023-10-12T01:20:17Z

The game plays great. The sound effects are really good. I didn't hear any music though. Maybe it's a bug or there isn't any yet.

Tiny Rogue Rumble by juxipolo 2023-10-09T02:23:33Z

This was a fun dungeon crawler. I liked getting loot and exploring around. Things like traps and obstacles were a little difficult to tell what they were at first. I think an alternative way to move the view might be a good option (hold right click and move or even WASD or arrow keys). Also the defend sound volume was up really high when I was playing. Might just be my computer though.

Alien Abduction Adventures and Astral Anomalies Abound by Flaterectomy 2023-10-05T00:20:12Z

This was an interesting game. My first playthrough I didn't do that well, but that I was able to plan better for the next playthrough. My only suggestions would be to fill out some the descriptions of what's going on more, and maybe add more random events.

Everything Must Go by Rohun 2023-10-07T00:09:46Z

This was really fun and pretty polished. It's crazy to think you all could make this in only 3 days! Lots of great sounds, UI animations, voice acting, and character animations. After adding more content I think this could be a great game for Steam or the Switch.

No Gloop, No Glory by Prakkus 2023-10-13T23:38:23Z

This was fun and a neat idea for a game. I think it might be good to spawn the player away from the enemy more to get used to the movement and basic mechanic, then add in the enemy. I kept spawning right next to the enemy and if I didn't move immediately I would be killed. I think maybe turning the enemy AI aggression down a little bit might make it more fun to play too. Its fun right now, but quite challenging.

CARGOMBULATOR by ecmjohnson 2023-10-08T18:47:45Z

I like the atmosphere. The controls took a little getting used to. I think it might be worth trying a little bit more zoomed out camera for the isometric view. There were a few times I thought that might help the player view the scene better. Good use of theme.

Whack-a-Soul by JavaSaurus 2023-10-06T02:00:27Z

This was fun and pretty addictive. I only meant to play 1 or 2 runs but probably ended up playing 10 or more. It feels like it could be an old arcade game. I wasn't too sure what the different color tiles meant at first which was a little confusing, but easy enough to figure out quickly.

Work Until You're Undead by Diego Escalante 2023-10-05T00:04:12Z

This was fun. The lighting effect is nice and makes it really creepy roaming around. The voice over was cracking me up. It would be nice if there were some more colors to the office or some kind of signpost or something to help tell the different areas apart so that the player could start to recognize where they are and orient themselves while they're exploring.

Co2pia by rolferm 2023-10-10T02:57:04Z

I couldn't figure out how to play. I tried it for a little while but it kept flooding before I knew what was going on. Is there a tutorial mode? The UI is a little difficult to figure out.

Phone Booth Boxing by exofrenon 2023-10-07T14:03:27Z

Interesting idea for a game and fits the theme well. I like the rock, paper, scissors style gameplay. I think the timer could be a little shorter to keep it moving and more exciting.

Hole in the Well by DecadeDecaf 2023-10-05T00:42:42Z

This was really fun. It made me laugh multiple times. I really liked that some interactions would influence following events or later interactions. Every now and then I would get the same prompt come up a few times, but I'm sure you could fix that after adding more content later. The voice acting was so funny. My only suggestion would be to move the UI like volume bar to down at the bottom of the screen so it wouldn't overlap with the prompts.

The Not-So-Spacious Spaceship by LeBossMax2 2023-10-14T00:11:23Z

I think the game is solid, but I have a few small suggestions. I think the resources take up a lot of the player's view, so shrinking them a little might be helpful. I know the ship is supposed to feel small, but I think it might be a little too small. Navigating it can be challenging. Maybe extend the hunger timer more so they player has more time to get oriented and explore. Also it was a little difficult to figure out where to take the resources that I was finding at first. Overall it was fun and I think it's a good start.

Gremlin Books Incorporated by bramreth 2023-10-09T02:49:14Z

This was an interesting game. I like the voice over a lot. When rotating a book to see what section its in, it seems like I had to rotate it all the way around to the back. It would be nice if the side label was viewable so it could speed up that confirmation. Also, is there a way to remove a book that you have placed?

Space Way by MrSamafu 2023-10-04T00:29:24Z

It plays great and the graphics are a nice touch. I felt like the difficulty curve was pretty gentle and I was able to complete all the stages. I think if you had more time you could make a lot more stages and explore new puzzle layouts. I think experimenting more with the green tile placement would be an interesting way to add variety since you can go over it multiple times. Also one small suggestion would be to decrease the angle of the text, making it a little more horizontal. Overall great job though.

Unlimited space by Recher 2023-10-08T00:21:24Z

Sorry I tried to play for a little bit but couldn't figure out what was going on. Maybe you can have a short tutorial level to show the players how to play in a simple example.

3 Spots Castle by ecenizo 2023-10-11T01:27:30Z

I had fun playing this. I think the horses should be a little stronger since they are taking up two slots. Also, I think it might be nice if the market was only 1 slot and provided less money. It's too risky to have a market for long when it takes up 2 slots.

Island City Builder by AlexTengu 2023-10-08T19:23:43Z

It reminds me of playing strategy games like Tropico. I like the balance between income, tech and attractiveness. It keeps the player always having to think about the best build for that moment in time. I think it would be cool if you could destroy a building you built earlier and rebuild there. Maybe its already an option but I didn't see it.

Legends of Lore by siberpunk01 2023-10-04T23:50:17Z

@mrsamafu Thank you for playing and the kind words! It was our first time trying digitized sprites, but I think they turned out good and have that old school look we were going for.

Legends of Lore by siberpunk01 2023-10-04T23:53:08Z

@neeko69 Thank you for playing! Sorry we wanted to add a simple CPU opponent for single player, but ran out of time. I'm not sure what's going on with Tarzan getting hit so high up lol. It happened to me before too, so we're going to look into it, but it is pretty hilarious when it happens.

Legends of Lore by siberpunk01 2023-10-04T23:56:04Z

@javasaurus Thank you for playing! I'm glad you were able to play it with a controller. We have keyboard controls in there, but I think it's much more fun and easier to play with a controller. It was fun to work on, so we might keep expanding it a little more and add more moves, characters, levels, etc.

Legends of Lore by siberpunk01 2023-10-06T02:14:12Z

@pabloabraham Thank you for playing! We're glad you enjoyed it. I wish we had more time and I would have made an attempt to program a CPU opponent. It would probably be a big challenge, but maybe I'll give it a go when I have some time.

Legends of Lore by siberpunk01 2023-10-10T02:47:39Z

@haotian-chen Thank you for playing. Yeah, I think the keyboard controls need work too. We were trying to think of ways to implement a two player fighting game on one keyboard, but it was challenging to get anything that felt good. Hopefully you got to try it with a controller, it's much better that way.

Legends of Lore by siberpunk01 2023-10-10T02:49:06Z

@montym Thank you for playing! Yes, a fighting game was a challenge in this time frame, but we thought it might be cool to do something with old school digitized sprites so we went for it.

Legends of Lore by siberpunk01 2023-10-17T01:48:07Z

@alextengu Thank you for playing! Fighting game development was much more challenging than I thought it would be at first, but we've learned a lot. Also its too late for you, but we added a zipped exe instead of just the installer version for the update.

Garbage Stack by CasualNothing 2023-10-08T00:07:20Z

This was really fun to see how high I could get it. I like that each object has it's own shape and will gradually cause you a problem for future stacking (unless they are all refrigerators). It took me a second to figure what I was doing, so if you could improve the UI a little to show in game how to play, I think that would help players get going faster. You could track the score by the weight of the shipment or the height or both!

Ghost peppers from someplace by Neeko69 2023-10-04T01:02:44Z

It's fun, but I thought it was pretty challenging. The ghosts seem pretty strong. I'm not sure if the mouse needs to hover over them for a certain amount of time or if I need to click on them a number of times to kill them. In addition to the strong enemies the walls closing in made it difficult for me to get a high score. I think 5 was my highest.

Escape from the clutches by Anton4ik-dev 2023-10-10T02:28:36Z

Nice character designs and animations. It took a few rounds to get into the flow of the game. It feels kind of like a turn based fighting game which is pretty cool. It might be cool if there was a visual way to show the cooldown time for a move (like color gradually changing back when it's ready to use again or a progress bar) so the player knows what is about to come back to be available again.

OneSocket by r8teful 2023-10-08T19:09:27Z

It's a neat idea for a horror game and a good use of the theme. It took me a min to figure out how to play, even after the tutorial. Maybe instead of the clock counting up to an unknown number, it could count down instead so the player can have an idea of the finish point. Checking for the monsters was always tense. One more suggestion would be to narrow the side movement bars. I accidentally kept turning when not intending to.

Prickle by Kultuk 2023-10-12T01:27:15Z

The puzzle design is clever and challenging. The game is simple enough to understand quickly and get to playing. Art and sound are top notch too.

Mantra by Haotian Chen 2023-10-06T02:09:14Z

I really like the pixel art and the controls feel good. I'm not great at these kinds of games, so I couldn't get that far, but it seems really well made for just 3 days. I think I'd like to play this with a controller more than the mouse and keyboard.

Fairy Tale 2: Big Trouble in Pixie Hollow by Matt Green 2023-10-08T18:40:28Z

This is an interesting idea for a game. I think it might be cool if there was a way to increase your tillable land every so often. I like the use of the theme. It would be more interesting for the player if there were some more ways you could interact with what is going on during each season after the initial layout is done.

Deep Sea by OccasionalEgg 2023-10-04T00:55:00Z

The atmosphere is creepy and I think its an interesting idea. Seeing a countdown timer to your death definitely makes the player feel tense at all times. I think maybe 1 or 2 more systems to keep online with a different mini game each would give some more variety to the gameplay.

Apocalypse Mall by Don Juan Javier 2023-10-13T00:46:09Z

I had fun playing. There were a few collision issues though. Once a survivor got stuck to a plant and I couldn't move them away. Had to switch to another character. Also some of the teal walls to the right of the start area didn't seem like the collisions or maybe the depth wasn't set up correctly. Overall concept was fun to play.

Seat Fighter by jordandb524 2023-10-11T00:58:27Z

This was fun. It was a little hard to figure out which moves were being effective and what wasn't, but once I switched to only shoving, I became a master! Great use of theme.

Packed to the Gills by npckc 2023-10-07T13:51:07Z

This was a lot of fun to play. It could easily be released as a full game if you added more content.

The Bullet Box by MonsieurDuck 2023-10-09T02:35:51Z

This was more challenging and interesting than I thought it would be initially. I like that your shots bounce off the walls and become a hazard for you. It gets really crazy once several enemies are spawning in at once. I like that you can hold a shot to make it bigger as well. Good use of the theme too. Maybe an update could include different weapons that have different bounce effects, etc.

STARCHILD by konfekt 2023-10-08T00:12:14Z

I like the interactive story idea. I think it might be cool if there were a couple options in each prompt to allow the player to explore the story on their terms more. Also I think music would go along way in this one since its mostly text.

KAAMOS by PabloAbraham 2023-10-06T23:39:47Z

I didn't get any audio at first, but after I died it started working the next playthrough. I like that UI, it looks sharp. The level looked really cool too. I was getting a minor bug where the outer edge of the level tiles kept popping in and out sometimes. I did a few playthroughs but didn't find anything to interact with and ran out of gas. Is there a beacon of some sort to point you in roughly the right direction? Music and sound design was great and helped with the mood.

Sick! Virus Busters by Raptorspank 2023-10-05T00:52:48Z

I think it's an interesting concept for a game. I like the idea of switching the power to different areas of the ship, but found it difficult to do quickly which made it too cumbersome to switch often. I think some sort of map that could be drawn as you explore or a slightly zoomed out view would help ensure the players aren't going in circles. I like the song too.

Last Light by ArivanEverdingen 2023-10-13T00:53:33Z

I really liked the lighting system. It adds a lot to the game mood. The jump felt a little off at first (like the character was too heavy), but then I figured out if you hold it, you can jump further. In level 2 there is an area where it looks like there is platform that might carry you up to a new level, but it wasn't moving (maybe I was missing something). But then I checked to the left of that platform and fell through the level and couldn't get back out. I wasn't getting any sound effects or music, maybe a glitch on my end though. Overall it was really cool.

Before The Trip by Nilan 2023-10-10T02:43:26Z

I like the idea. Some of the small items I wasn't sure what they were. Maybe in the UI somewhere it could say what the item you picked up is. I think adding a little bit of challenge to the game would add a lot to the experience. I think it could still be a relaxing game, but adding just a little bit of a challenge would go a long way. Music and art are both great!

Pazuru Packing Sushi by Gabreu 2023-10-17T01:59:16Z

Great entry! It plays well, has a chill soundtrack, and great pixel art. I'm glad there is no timer so it can be kind of a relaxing puzzle game, instead of a frantic 'make the order' game. The ingredients are a little easy to mix up. A couple of times I couldn't get the order ready, and then realized I misread the items in the order.

Eye of the Storm by Rogue_Snake 2023-10-04T00:41:33Z

I think the idea is pretty interesting. The edge of the storm is a little difficult to see until it's right up on you. It might be cool if there was a wind marker on the ui or something to show you which direction the storm was heading.

Out of Side by happyglitch 2023-10-13T01:04:25Z

I liked the controls and overall gameplay. It seemed pretty challenging at first until you realize there is no timer counting down or anything so you can take it as slow as you want. The moving obstacles added a lot to the challenge. I wasn't getting any music. If there isn't any, I think it would be a good addition.

FELL OUT by daveranan 2023-10-07T13:46:58Z

It's really impressive you could make all this in just 3 days. Did you use many existing assets or was everything made from scratch for the jam? I really like the art style and the music. The controls feel a little bit floaty to me, but maybe that is what you were going for. Overall it turned out great.

BIT Busters : Virus Warfare by ArthurSenpai 2023-10-04T00:45:29Z

It looks like you zipped your Gamemaker source code. You'll need to compile an executable for everyone else to play it. I can't even open the file in Gamemaker. It looks like an interesting concept though.

Keep It Burning by Daniel G 2023-10-11T01:14:02Z

I like the main mechanic to keep gathering resources to stay on fire. Maybe it would be interesting to respawn the additional gas cans if the player dies? I fell through a couple of platforms that I thought should have been safe. I'm not sure if that was intentional to trick the player though.

Phobia by KrisM 2023-10-13T23:43:01Z

I couldn't figure out what to do. Once I got to the second dialog box in the closet, I couldn't select the 'Yes' option and the 'No' option just ends the conversation. After that I couldn't find anything else to interact with. Seems like a good start though. Nice sounds and pixel art.

Nice Park! by Barbabulle 2023-10-09T03:00:18Z

Cool concept and implemented well. It's easy to understand how to play and controls feel great. Good use of theme too.

Pyramyth by MontyM 2023-10-06T23:51:32Z

It's a fun game. It's pretty challenging and took me a couple tries to figure out what was going on. I think the game would be just as good without the timer. There were a couple times where I got stuck and there weren't any moves so I had to wait until the level shifted again. I don't have a suggestion on how to fix it though.

Lockdown: 1986 by Meru 2023-10-11T01:44:03Z

This was fun to play through. It would be nice if items you can interact could highlight if you mouse over them. The art and music were great!
