Good game. It took me a while to figure out the mission writing at first (I'm not sure if black on gray works...). The cokpit with all its buttons is really cool!
The instruction text ist hard to read (black text on dark background), after i figured it out, it was fun for some time. Would appreciate some feedback for a last chance to fix one of the problems before its game over.
Fun game! It took me a while to find the different parts of the ship but once I got used to where things were, had a fair amount of fun. Only downsides are that the mouse is VERY sensitive (I used the Web build) so was hard to navigate, and that you didn't make the food crates green xD I did work the food crates out after a run. Good job! I only got sucked out an airlock 2 times
The atmosphere is fantastic. I like the retro look of the game too. Good intensity :-)
I like the concept and the game has a cool atmosphere. I found it a little hard to understand what was going on at first. It seems like the game just doesn't explain much, like how things will be shot out of airlocks or what I'm supposed to do when asteroids are approaching. I think I might've died because I ran out of energy, but I didn't see any more around the ship. I guess the intent is to stockpile things at the beginning before they get shot out, but that can lead to a guaranteed losing situation where nothing you do will prevent the inevitable death from running out of whatever resource. Since the player does so much carrying of objects, I think having a mechanic where the held object becomes partially transparent would've helped make navigating the ship a little more strategic and less frustrating. I do like this game, I just wish it were clearer what I'm doing that's right vs. wrong when playing. Also, as another commenter pointed out, having a setting for mouse sensitivity would be great.
Love the atmosphere, audio, and environment! Unfortunatly, I had a hard time understand what I was supposed to do to progress/complete my goal.
Neat game, well done. It was stressful with all the alarms and door timing. First time I died from hunger, the second time I got spaced, and the third time, when I felt like I had the hang of it, I got killed by asteroids (I was pretty sure I had plenty of energy for the shields though...). Fun game!
I got shot out of the airlock, so 10/10.
Overall really great atmosphere, I did spend quite a while looking for a green container that didn't exist, before I realized that the food was the stacked rectangle container. Since most of the other resources are color coded I just assumed the food would be color coded as well.
I was lured in by the title, and it was pretty absorbing once I got into it! I died a bunch at the beginning because I kept getting launched out of the airlocks, until I noticed the indicator. I then starved to death, because I couldn't find where the food went at first. Then I got into the groove and asteroids killed me. It seemed like I was supposed to go to the cockpit, but I didn't know what to do once I got there, cause I couldn't find anything to interact with. I thought the graphics were really good, especially for a gamejam!
I think the game is solid, but I have a few small suggestions. I think the resources take up a lot of the player's view, so shrinking them a little might be helpful. I know the ship is supposed to feel small, but I think it might be a little too small. Navigating it can be challenging. Maybe extend the hunger timer more so they player has more time to get oriented and explore. Also it was a little difficult to figure out where to take the resources that I was finding at first. Overall it was fun and I think it's a good start.
I really like the look of the cockpit and wish there was some gameplay around it :p
Unless I'm blind (idk maybe I am) there is no timer or indication on when the airlock is going to shut itself? I would make a timer or warning beep or something to give a chance for the player to move out in time
interesting game
