This was very funny. Reminds me of the '90's some how. :)

The graphics were great! Game play was fun. I was disappointed that there is only 3 levels.
I did reload the game a few times to see if the objects were randomly placed or not. The random colors was a great touch. Having the objects drop in makes it feel random too.
Very well done.
Great! Getting the randomly generated items in place so quickly requires decent coding techniques. It is definitely more challenging this way. That last level can be a pain flipping bottles around so you can stack them right.
What software did you use to create the graphics?
I played the web version. I had to give up at a score of 2000 because it got too slow.
It could definitely be better than the original asteroids game.
A boss level would be awesome too (maybe I just didn't get far enough).
The game is beautiful. I could definitely see this being turned into a much larger space exploration/observatory chill game.
Like others have said, it took a long time for me to realize that the meteor only shows once at the beginning, and unfortunately when I first played, the meteor struck long before I figured out what to do.
The F-keys were intercepted by chrome which prevented me from getting to parts of the game.
The audio was a fantastic fit for the game.
If you get a blue error and you are not playing on full screen (WebGL version), just press enter on your keyboard.
@zacharypinkham
Thanks! We were going for a sort of unstable reality.
I think some flavor text would have sold that a bit better, but we never got that far.
I made it to the top! Oh look, how sweet... Oh...
It's a bit challenging, but not too challenging. I think it could be a fun physics/puzzle plat-former. I think the physics is a little unpredictable in this though.
Very nicely done.
This is fantastic. The sound effects when you miss are amazing. It really makes missing fun.
Yes! I was hoping you would do another one!
This was great. The art and humor was great. Just because I am a button doesn't mean you have to press me (Actually... It does)!
I'm happy to say I wasn't terminated.
That kitchen is way too organized and clean to be a simulation of my kitchen though...
@iambaangkok I know it sounds silly but 95% of the fun for me is not the game, it's everything else that goes into it (art, sound, physics, animation, etc). I've looked at unity and unreal before, but they feel too hands off.
I have written a rudimentary game engine in c++, but I abandoned that years ago. My current thought is to write a new one using JS and WebGL (JS has come so far in the last 5 years!).
This entry wasn't entirely from scratch though, I did start off using my game loop (https://github.com/HineSite/game-loop-basics/blob/master/js/GameLoop.js). Far from a game engine though...
Thanks for your feedback!
@caladrius lol If you didn't already, now you know your parrot likes bad music!
It was my first attempt at making any kind of music and I sort of did it on a whim Saturday afternoon when I wanted a little break. I had never used LMMS before either, so I really didn't expect it to be as good as it is (which I understand is loud and repetitive. Oh well...).
I think the game is more about the sad story than the game play, which is cool, but the game play was just a little too slow for me.
Otherwise the art and music were really nice!
It took me several tries to understand what I needed to do. Once I figured it out, was a little too easy to finish the wall.
I didn't realize at first that you can only have one building being moved at a time, so I ended up placing walls instead of moving buildings.
Otherwise it is really a great game. The graphics are effective, the audio is really nice, and I really like that green.
It looks great! I really want to play it, but the moment I press any key, the character fly's off the screen. Clicking on the forms works for a split second, but almost immediately both the character and the forms fly off the screen. I tried in chromium and firefox.
I was trying to run it on my ubuntu machine.
It is working fine in chrome on my windows 10 machine though.
It's a fun and entertaining game!
Update: I just tried again on my linux machine and it still doesn't work (strange).
935, that's me! I enjoyed it, but it could definitely use more complexity, but a great proto type. I like the idea. Also, by the time I got to that score, my computer was chugging so much, I could barely move (I couldn't even see my laser beams any more).
I'll be waiting...
Great work as usual. I eventually won, but I don't know how. I found it very difficult to tell what was going on, in large part because everything seemed really small on my screen (even when zoomed in with Q). It took me a while to find the start button it was so small. Learning a new engine during a game jam is hard and I am impressed. Let me know when you have the post release ready, I would definitely like to try it out.
Nice! That was fun, and a great take on the theme. I got 432 on easy with the small cauldron. It was a bit frustrating seeing two veggies 1 pixel from each other.
Incredible use of the limited space theme. A lot of fun, but I can't get past level 5. Too many bullets going in every direction. I probably spend too much time in the middle of the head. I will keep playing.
This was great. The food flying everywhere when you hit it was funny. The sound and atmosphere is really good. The receipt at the end of the game is fantastic. I also enjoyed how the food waste is calculated to 6 decimals (I don't know if that was a bug or not, but it made me chuckle).
Fantastic game. I was not fond of the controls though, but they got the job done.
I really like the idea of using hangman to learn morse code. Any game that teaches you something is awesome in my book. I do wish there was a skip intro button and more phrases though. I'm not sure if it is cached, a bug, or bad luck, but after a handful of reloads, I only ever got the one phrase.
I feel like you should have made it 54 days. It took a few tries to understand the mechanics, which is fine. Definitely tricky destroying your opposite element without destroying to many of the other tiles. I ran out of tiles the one time. Puzzle games can be one of the more challenging games to do in a time crunch, so good job. Fun game.
Neat game, well done. It was stressful with all the alarms and door timing. First time I died from hunger, the second time I got spaced, and the third time, when I felt like I had the hang of it, I got killed by asteroids (I was pretty sure I had plenty of energy for the shields though...). Fun game!
That's pretty neat. I gave you bonus points for using a global game seed to make a infinitely random but repeatable world. These sorts of games are always underrated. Great job! Your Squarity game engine is pretty cool too.
That is hard but a lot of fun. I really like how you can damage the cars. Somehow I managed to deliver a car on top of another (upside down) car. I also thought it was funny that I could put cars out for pickup before the patrons ever showed up for their car After a few tries, I managed to make a whole $40!
@underlig That is a great idea! We did originally want different effects, but we didn't even have time to consider what those might be. This one was extra rough switching to a new game engine, but I don't have to tell you how that goes...
Interesting. Took a while to figure out the controls. Right will always move the character to the right of the screen. For me, it would have been more intuitive if right moved the character to the character's right.
That was a lot of fun. It took me a couple of tries to figure out how everything worked, but once I figured it out it was pretty simple (if I had paid more attention to your gif, I probably would have figured it out quicker).
Sometimes the orders seemed too hard (I assume they are random?). I hade one that required 3 lettuce/cabbage (I just ignored that guy...).
