LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Is this a tiger? by limered 2021-04-27T03:01:31Z

Unique, stylish, and funny! Sometimes the controls felt a bit unresponsive, but otherwise the game worked well. Unfortunately, most of my tourists were killed by spiders. I liked the ending!

TREE by Marcionix 2021-04-27T05:05:17Z

This game is really neat! I like that the player handles several aspects of being a tree, like absorbing nutrients and growing leaves. The art is very pretty and the UI buttons and pixel text are nice, too!

Fish Slapping Simulator 2021 by chriiis88 2021-04-27T00:32:37Z

Gameplay was simple, but effective and fun. I liked the slapping sound a lot. The art was pretty goofy, but fit the tone of the game quite well. I think my favorite part is that the cursor is a little hand that 'slaps' when you click.

Yerlik by gord10ahmet 2021-04-26T23:41:15Z

This is a lovely game! The music is incredibly beautiful. I felt there were some missed opportunities for visual/sound effects; for example, hitting a nazar just restarts the level immediately, and it's a little hard to tell when the karakulas have hit the lava. Aside from that, the 2D visuals look very good! The character designs and animations were interesting and well done, and the tiles were very clean and polished. The camera shake when the karakulas get too close is cool. Dialogue was engaging and poetic. The level design was clever; I felt like each level sort of put a new twist on the previous one. I like the interesting consequences of eating food on the ground to regain health. The difficulty was challenging, but fair. The final boss was awesome, and I really enjoyed the ending. Great job overall!

Onions Have Layers by freakrho 2021-04-27T03:40:37Z

I started laughing out loud right around TurbineLover.com, and continued laughing. After I clicked the ticket link, received the emails, and glitched my desktop, I couldn't figure out if there was anything left to do, but I really enjoyed every step of the way there.

Chimes by Pohko 2021-04-27T02:29:04Z

I love this! So, so stylish and beautiful. The graphic design is fantastic, too. I'm also really glad to see someone using Unity's HDRP and showing off what you can do with the graphics. Gameplay is simple and contemplative, and lets the visuals stand out. Amazingly well done!

Parentage by CandleBird 2021-05-17T23:10:20Z

This was a really cool experience! Audio was great, and essential in an experience like this one that relies so much on the atmosphere. I thought the difficulty level was perfect; I didn't have trouble dodging the mines, but I also just found myself wanting to see more of the story, so I'm glad I could avoid hitting anything. The odd comms messages were nicely disturbing. Pacing was mostly very good, although I would have preferred the first part with the light blue water to be a bit shorter; it was more effective and easier to get oriented once the color of the water started getting darker and deeper. At least in my playthrough, I really liked that some mysteries still weren't solved at the end. Great job overall!

Parentage by CandleBird 2021-05-17T23:12:07Z

Oh, also, the robot game you're developing is extremely cool! I highly encourage everyone who reads this to check out the developer's Twitter that is listed in the description.

Sblaaf!! by Thob 2021-04-28T23:10:40Z

Very cool and polished-looking! Gameplay was satisfying, but the timing of the punch felt a little unfair -- it already increases in challenge over time, so a tiny bit more 'coyote time' would have felt more natural to me without making things too easy. Loved the way the visuals, sound, and character art worked together to create a cohesive whole, and absolutely loved Brook's personality as well. Great job!

Snake on a Sphere by MachWerx 2021-04-26T21:12:33Z

I really enjoyed this game! Great 3D take on the classic snake. Gameplay was very smooth, satisfying and fun. Towards the end it got challenging in a good way, but I didn't ever have any trouble figuring out the mechanics. The visuals were nice-looking, coherent, and got across the message they needed to get across; my only suggestion is that the black shadows are too harsh for this game. The worm looked fantastic and cute. Loved the explosion effect when you beat a level! Overall, great job.

GodMode by Landerack 2021-04-28T04:42:12Z

Extremely cool art! I absolutely love the parallax, the 2D/3D effect is awesome and feels very unique. I was unable to play because I don't have a controller, so I'm really glad you posted a gameplay video that allowed your visuals to shine. Congrats on making a beautiful game!

(P.S. Don't worry, I suspect it's very rare for anyone in a game jam to write clean code.)

Whispers of Life by MidnightMist 2021-04-27T05:12:21Z

This game is so beautiful!! I love the aesthetic and the idea of whispering to flowers to regain your energy! The main character is super adorable too. Great job!!! :)

Goblin Philosopher by Jibberwocky 2021-04-26T21:59:08Z

This is my favorite interpretation of the theme so far! The "deep" goblin philosophical conversations while moving deeper into the caves works on multiple... levels!!! (Like levels in a cave, get it?) The visuals are fantastic, stylized, polished, and very funny; I LOVED picking up the tiny goblins and moving them around. I do wish gameplay was a little faster in the beginning; early on I found I was mostly watching a loading bar and clicking every so often, and I wasn't totally sure how to progress. Otherwise, though, really fantastic.

Deep Undercover by CrocodileTuesday 2021-04-26T21:26:35Z

I love this super weird thing. Gameplay was challenging; I think the WebGL physics were making it more difficult as noted by the developer. It got slightly easier when I full-screened the build. I couldn't play it as intended, but I still got the concept and had fun making the eel wiggle around. The eel looks very appropriately floppy and slippery. Great job!

Wusel-Fall by Timeearl 2021-04-28T22:31:21Z

Confirmed: this is exactly how I feel when I code. Gameplay was simple, but satisfying; I liked the pace of the speed increase. I would have preferred more feedback when I hit a red bug, though. Nice job overall!

Dungeon Depths by ShadowDev 2021-04-28T04:55:46Z

I love the night sky background! It made me feel nostalgic in a way other pixel art games haven't. I liked the music in the beginning, too; it was kind of chaotic and discordant, a little like the sky background. I'm glad you included both the sword and shield, and thought it was cool that you added the ability to attack from above. The art was very charming; I liked the main character a lot, and I especially loved the skeletons. As a note to anyone else who reads this before playing, you'll need to fullscreen the game to see the whole UI including the health icons; it was a little confusing until I figured that out. I kinda loved that I was able to hang out on top of the skeletons' heads (even if it did hurt). Nice job overall!

Treasure Dive by Wuppos 2021-04-26T22:25:22Z

Beautiful game! The visuals are quite lovely and the color palette is fantastic. Animations look great, specifically the run cycle and the 'poof' when you hit spikes. The mechanics are simple and mostly standard for a platformer, but very well executed. The WebGL build was ever-so-slightly jittery, but I don't think I would have noticed if the developer hadn't mentioned it. One of the major strengths of the game is its level design; the simple mechanics are used in a new way in each level, and the amount of challenge was well-tuned. I felt a sense of accomplishment when I was able to get past some of the harder spots. I really enjoyed playing it!

Treasure Dive by Wuppos 2021-04-26T22:50:33Z

@Wuppos Yes, of course! And I'm really glad you made a WebGL build, it makes it much faster and easier to play your game.

Knee Deep in Magma by Venezia 2021-04-26T23:16:46Z

Simple but fun! The lava looks super cool, and I like the protagonist. I definitely kept forgetting that the trampolines disappeared after you jumped on them once, so I appreciate that you could restart. My favorite part was the section that was all trampolines. Finishing the game by jumping into lava was quite funny. Nicely done!

Downward Dog by vincinerated 2021-04-26T23:51:59Z

Oh my goodness, SO cute. I absolutely love the art style! The dog's animations are absolutely FANTASTIC. Particle effects are well implemented. I also love the bone blocks -- of course I should be able to dig up a T-rex head for extra bones! And I also loved the variety of enemies; it may not make sense that there's a one-eyed tentacle monster in addition to the snakes and moles, but dangit, the tentacle monster is amazing. Great job with the random map generation! The fact that snakes and moles can go through the dirt blocks without destroying them feels a bit off; I find myself wishing they either dug holes, or were confined to their own spots. The dog's digging seems slightly slower than I want it to be, especially on the rocky dirt blocks. Otherwise, it's a really smooth, fun game. Wonderfully done!

Tiptap the Tadpole vs. the Menacing Cthonic Horde by Knipsch 2021-04-27T05:56:48Z

@ripter Yes, the tadpole can lose! The monsters can only hurt the tadpole if they have teeth, though, and the teeth have to hit the tadpole.

Deep Snails Night by JLMast 2021-04-28T22:27:37Z

I absolutely loved the art and world-building in this! The halftone dots were an excellent and very impactful choice. I did find the game a bit too difficult and occasionally unfair, especially when I got to the end and had none of the fancy vomit left and couldn't win. Other than that, though, a really cool experience!

Caves of the Forgotten by CorbenG 2021-04-27T00:04:28Z

The waiver system and notes were quite funny; my favorite was Sarah Croft. The art style is really stylish and cohesive and the colors are great; I especially loved the main character's animations. It was sometimes difficult to discern what some things were (maybe it's just me, but I didn't figure out what the dead explorers were until the second or third one). The gameplay was a little bit slow and a little bit too easy, but I still enjoyed playing. I really appreciated the BOTW-style stamina bar, the sweat drips that come off you when you walk around, and the sound effects that matched their actions well! Really nice attention to detail. The user interface was really nice and coherent with the gameplay style; my one suggestion is that it should be able to close the notes using the "E" key that opened them, instead of having to click a button. I liked the ending a lot!

Ella by Digo 2021-04-27T00:55:52Z

I loved the visuals, the alliteration in the descriptions ("dirt destroyed," "diamonds deleted," "gold gleaned," etc.), and especially the fact that Ella visibly animates faster when you increase her speed. Music is great too and fits well. Very charming and atmospheric take on the idle/clicker genre. My only suggestion is that it's kind of hard to read some of the text, especially in the "ascensions" box where it's light grey text over a white button. Otherwise, excellent job!

The Witching Hour by DamonWakes 2021-04-27T01:24:26Z

I loved the writing, and as a dog owner I definitely felt an extra emotional gut punch. Who wouldn't face Satan to get their dog back? I also liked the options changing and the backstory slowly coming to light. Thanks for making a wonderful game!

LD49 — Unstable

Jingoku by Skyeward 2021-10-06T02:52:10Z

Absolutely fantastic, well done!

Unstabled by Pennycook 2021-10-04T04:57:18Z

It's awesome that you implemented a JRPG-style battle system!! Also, I loved all the horse puns. Great job.

Procedural Spider by Darthdeus 2021-10-04T02:28:58Z

The procedural animation really shines here, great job!

Stabilized by dylanilvento 2021-10-15T23:49:58Z

Charming game with a lot of attention to detail! I really appreciated the small touches like the counter growing large and red as time ran out, and the horse changing color on restart. The art was great, too. I like the idea of a wooden horse named Mable (kinda like maple, plus it rhymes with stable)! Also, great job with the theme; horse games are great and I love the use of a very unstable rocking horse.

It was definitely challenging. I do wish it had been possible to stack things a bit higher; it would have been fun to try to carry a precarious tower all the way to the barn. Otherwise, though, a lot of fun and I can see the thought and work that went into it.

Keptin, de core is unstable! by Shigor 2021-10-04T04:21:40Z

It's awesome that you voice acted this whole thing, and everything went together really well between the art, the audio, and the humor. I unfortunately could not keep the ship from exploding, but I'm happy to know the guy was resurrected.

Unstable Marbles by Marc Grabow 2021-10-04T01:27:44Z

Really, really cute and a fun challenge. I love the tiny people and pixel flowers, and the audio was especially adorable. I think the UI was a bit of a missed opportunity to do something that matched the pixel-y aesthetic, but it's still a very peaceful game with a great environment!

The Headless Horseman by datadazer 2021-10-04T05:23:14Z

The art and music are fantastic. I especially love the moon, the character animations, and the parallax effect in the background! Also, I'm happy to see a spooky game, and I like the concept a lot. Great job!

Frogmented World by spudboy 2021-10-04T04:15:04Z

I loved this one! The art is lovely and I can tell how much time and care went into it. The core mechanic is fantastic, and the levels are very cleverly designed around it. I was a big fan of the cloud at the end, too. :) Great job!

Cawtastrophe by crefossus 2021-10-17T03:51:23Z

I'm pretty sure "I'll level with you" in the text was a pun and I respect it. Also loved the tiny voice in the background saying "cawtastic." It was great to see a 3D game and I always like seeing Unreal entries! The bird was extremely charming and I love the materials on it; the little hat is excellent. Textures in the background weren't as strong as they were on the bird, and were a bit muddy and dull; brighter colors would have matched the bird a bit better. Gameplay itself was not very hard, and was a little confusing; I wish I'd had more incentive to save the cubes from falling off. I did like the color-changing column in the center, which helped the gameplay a lot. Overall, very nicely done!

QWOPcrate by dooleus 2021-10-15T23:17:06Z

I like the aesthetic a lot, and think the visuals and music matched each other nicely to create a cool mood. Definitely challenging, but I found I was able to climb to the top of the milk crates by holding W and P to do a levitating butt-slide until I invariably knocked over a milk crate. This was a triumphant discovery. The main character also moves in a hilarious shaky stick-figure-y way, and his legs stretch exactly as much as I want them to. Bizarre and very neat!

Weasel Words by eldogg 2021-10-06T02:38:31Z

Really nailed the art school field trip experience. Loved it, A+++

Toil and Trouble by bassguitarbill 2021-10-20T03:32:04Z

Oh wow, love the art! The ghost's art is my favorite; such a nice texture, transparency, and expression. My other favorite detail is that the ladder in the basement is made of birch trees. The writing is very charming too. Music and sound are great; love the little kittycat talking noises.

Right off the bat, I had trouble finding the key, but it turned out to be because I kept trying to go through the door on the left and thought I couldn't yet -- I clicked it a few times and didn't go through (maybe because the cat's dialogue was open?).

The potion-making itself was very clever, satisfying, and fun! I always like it when I feel like I'm actually learning how to do something as I play the game more. I noticed and appreciated how often I was given hints -- this game could have been way too difficult, but with the hints it was mostly good. I still had a lot of trouble figuring out anti-morning-dew, since I would have just expected it to be the anti-dote plus morning dew (I assumed anti-morning-dew would be its own potion). The gravity stone potion was very difficult. This is the Dark Souls of witches brew games.

I would have preferred a little less backtracking when I made mistakes (although it did work for Dark Souls). My other nitpick is that the UI mostly looks great, but every so often there's Times New Roman or Arial (or Helvetica?) on a button which feels a little unfinished. To be fair, though, I don't know the constraints you were working with, and kudos on making a mobile-and-desktop-compatible browser app!

Lastly, I am concerned for the ghost. Is he okay?

Great job overall! Very ambitious and polished.

Surgeon Rush by erkerkiii 2021-10-15T23:25:17Z

Very cool game and great job with your first jam! I like that there was a bit of strategy to it; it was really hard until I figured out that I just had to kill the corner spawners first.

(This might seem totally random, but I went to school for medical illustration, and it's a really awesome career if you love drawing and animating medical things like this. Based on this game, I definitely recommend that your girlfriend check out the field if she's not familiar with it!)

Bearly Stable by Nobleboy 2021-10-05T17:58:27Z

My very favorite part was the floppy bear who became increasingly beefy over time, accompanied by puns like "Winnie the Food (Eater)." Really charming game. I agree with a previous commenter about the lighting being a bit grim; baking some lights onto the scene in addition to the existing real time spotlights would likely be a pretty quick fix. Otherwise the visuals were fantastic (loved the elephant), and the game itself was quite fun. Great job!

Devil's Sitter by VPhyre 2021-10-15T19:45:30Z

The art was fantastic and very stylish! I especially love the animation that happened when Becky gives the child the wrong item. The child is very charming, and Becky's run cycle is great. Difficulty was nicely challenging, and scaled up at a nice pace as I learned the game. Overall, very well done!

Hatmantha's Apothecary by CandleBird 2021-10-20T02:46:29Z

First off, I'm a big fan of a title screen that also works as a tutorial -- really seamless and effective. I LOVE Hatmantha's design, with her weird glowing arms and little hat buttons. Her arm stretch when she starts is really charming and neat, especially because she's like 50% arm. UI elements were placed very nicely and used well. Sound effects and music worked extremely well together! The 'thump' when jars are added to the crates is extremely satisfying, and the way the key shifts up as the game goes on is really effective. If you add anything to this game in the future, I think some more environment art would add a lot. Otherwise, great job!

Dominion by Shootboots 2021-10-04T02:26:21Z

Really satisfying to play. Once I figured out what to do, it was super neat to do sandbox-y simulation stuff. The aesthetic was great, too! Simple but very clean and cohesive. Nicely done overall!

Jimothy and the Unstable Sword by GabrielGameDev 2021-10-15T23:09:03Z

This was fun! Gameplay was quite smooth and I liked the story. I did have a lot of trouble getting through the fire, though, and wish it had been just a little more forgiving.

Rocky Rhodes and the Cracked Case by Brainloaf Studio 2021-10-17T21:42:39Z

Amazing. Loved the voice acting especially, but it was all great. Did I... kill a guy...???

Horse Pile by Big Play Ben 2021-10-04T04:39:04Z

I was cracking up while playing this, and my favorite detail is that the unit of measurement is the horse-appropriate "hands."

While I had trouble figuring out how to 'win' once I got past the first level, I think it could be argued that I won just by playing a game where I stack 3D horses while the mountains change texture in the background. Congrats, this must have been really fun to make and it shows!

CATACLYSM by his-games 2021-10-05T16:47:00Z

Great art and music! Very stylish. It was quite difficult, and unfortunately I found that clicking "level 2" or "boss" just took me to the first level again.

Ethereal Runner by jabsatz 2021-10-07T16:40:02Z

Very moody and atmospheric, with really cool art! I do wish the player had been a little faster early in the game; I died a lot so I spent a lot of time slow. Nice job overall!

MENDEL'S DRAGONS by YouK 2021-10-04T19:16:43Z

Really fantastic! The art is great, music is nice and fits the environment well, and the game systems work well. I liked playing it a lot, and I can imagine this being scaled up to a full game that people would really get into. I did struggle with getting the right dragons early in the game (like not being able to get a red dragon despite multiple refreshes), but otherwise the game felt fair and fun to play. Excellent overall, well done!!

Happy Glasses by VarunDevs 2021-10-04T02:36:57Z

Great job with a clever concept! I had a lot of fun playing this. I did get stuck on the level with the three spinning cubes, though -- it was a little too difficult and took a lot of waiting for the cube at the bottom. Overall, though, really nicely done!

Rock punk by Proz 2021-10-05T05:05:32Z

I like this one a lot! The art is great, very clean and appealing and unique. The concept is lots of fun. Great job!

Radish Kid Ascension by CozyGamePals 2021-10-09T00:36:00Z

Wonderful game! Super pleasant and mellow. The character and animations add a ton of charm. Placing objects on the tower feels really satisfying, and I'm impressed with how well the little guy finds his way. Great job overall!

Small Kaiju by ArtlessAvian 2021-10-04T01:20:14Z

This game is so pleasant! I really like the mix of 2D and 3D. I wasn't totally sure what to do The main character has a lot of charm, and I like the colors a lot, especially the yellow/green gradient on the block cliff. It did take me a minute to figure out what I was supposed to be doing; I didn't realize that I was able to hit things that were smaller than me, and that would make the cryptid grow large enough to hit larger things, but it was fun once I figured it out.

Could You Sit Still For Five Seconds? by djcoil 2021-10-15T19:28:22Z

Really, really cute. As a dog owner I love the name, too -- it hits pretty close to home! I wasn't able to get click and drag working on Chrome, but everything else seemed to work fine, and I enjoyed giving treats to the puppies. That little walk animation is pretty adorable. Nice job!

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

HONORED EXECUTION by Cope 2022-04-05T00:36:21Z

Boss was AWESOME, fantastic animations. In general the art was excellent. Gameplay felt very smooth and fair and it was pretty fun, although I would have liked a little more variety in the combat (but I realize that's a lot for a jam). Great job overall!

1000 Ducks by Maxwell3000 2022-04-04T23:39:40Z

The ducks are super cute. I love the little "QUACK" they say every so often. I also love that it's a cute little duck-themed resource management game that, by the way, happens to have a giant angry Duck God that needs to be appeased by sacrificing the adorable tiny ducks!

I wasn't totally sure if there was a goal beyond maintaining food/water, making money, and keeping the Duck God appeased. Can I defeat the Duck God?

Overall, nice job! :D

Battery Low by Milestone Games 2022-04-04T23:20:01Z

Fantastic little game! Difficulty level was perfect; I beat it on the second try and was able to experience the whole game without having to grind, but found it a nice puzzling challenge. Really enjoyed that I could see my tracks from the previous try! I did seem to experience a bit of jitter but it's possible it was an effect from running low on battery or something.

I LOVED the audio, especially the little robot voice saying "energy" and "science"! Graphics are great, and the user interface was clear and easy to understand. You mentioned that you had fun doing this, and that shines through. Marvelous tribute to Oppy overall; great job team (and dogs)!

Sky Shepherd by Teto 2022-04-20T20:34:01Z

Lovely zen puzzle game. I really appreciate the details in the art, like the little bit of bounce that the grid does when you rotate it and the way the sheeps' feet move every so often. The music is very soothing and fits the mood well.

I'll give some extra nitpicky feedback since I feel like this game could be rad if polished a bit more and released (especially on mobile). I wasn't totally sure what the sheep colors were for, and it took me a bit to recognize that four-of-a-kind on the floor was what was causing my sheep to disappear. I didn't need much tutorial since the game explains itself well as you play, but a little more feedback highlighting that could be useful. And this is SUPER nitpicky, but making the "Restart" and "Music" buttons larger while keeping their text sizes the same will likely make them look more polished.

Overall, awesome job! :D

The Railroad to Elsewhere by Save Sloth Studios 2022-04-04T23:48:59Z

I love the music and art from the very beginning, including the start UI. Animation is fantastic and the details are fantastic -- train-jostling motion! Little footstep sounds! The art is super stylized and great, and so are the animations.

And then I got to the story part. It's wonderful. The characters are great, and the conductor is a delightful, menacing presence the whole time. I won't spoil anything, but I enjoyed playing this so much. Really, really wonderful job! :D

Low Tide by Knipsch 2022-04-04T18:57:51Z

@mensio @spig Hi, sorry about that! It usually defaults to public for me but it defaulted to private this time, no clue why. It's public now! And thanks for the feedback.

My game engine was Unity 2020.3.17f, my render pipeline was the URP, I used Blender for 3D assets, Krita for 2D assets and some of the textures, Substance Painter for other textures, Audacity for cleaning up sound effects (which I made myself in a quiet room using my phone microphone), and Ableton Live Lite for the music.

Low Tide by Knipsch 2022-04-05T16:17:33Z

@arscene No I didn't but that's a good idea! I usually develop for VR so in 3D I tend to default to "camera is at or near the player's head" and miss other potential solutions. Next time I'll try other camera types too :D

Cauldron by Mortiss 2022-04-20T21:25:04Z

Loved the art, animations, and writing, and my favorite part of the game was the little story bits that would come up every so often. I got all the soldiers killed on the bandit hunt by accident, oops. Great job!

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Sweetheart Speedrun by Snowdrama 2022-10-21T16:42:17Z

My date left me because I couldn't find a quadcopter and started bringing coffees over and over out of desperation as they rapidly ran out of patience, just like in real life. Great soundtrack and I liked the main character art a lot, especially the speed trail effects.

The Curse of Tencond by Harry Alissavakis 2022-10-21T16:34:30Z

Beautiful visuals and excellent, witty dialogue. I loved the puzzle aspect and had a lot of fun. Thank you for making this!

Silvi by nardandas 2022-10-11T03:31:53Z

I love this, and I'm glad it exists. Thanks for making it!

Security Failure by aplite 2022-10-21T21:27:07Z

Neat puzzle! I got stuck on the PIN but felt accomplished when I got it. I'm not sure I totally understood how the 10 seconds theme was incorporated; it seemed like it was related to that bar but I'm not sure what it was doing. Overall though, good job!

Pet the Damn Cat! by Deprecat 2022-10-03T18:55:01Z

This game is awesome! The art is perfect. The balance between work and cat is very good, and it's challenging in a fun but doable way. I like the office tasks, especially nodding in meetings. Love the cat; I got the "you should've pet the cat" ending and found the art/animation there really delightful. Fantastic job overall.

Cure Casimir by Bender Biber 2022-10-21T16:20:37Z

Great job on the animation for the main character. I also really liked that Casimir was fully voice acted. It would have been nice to have a little more warning for when he sneezed so I could time jumps around it. Nice job overall!

Turbo Chef by EvilScotsman 2022-10-21T21:07:46Z

I loved smashing and slicing the food -- that was the best part. It's fun just as a kind of food sandbox. I had trouble understanding how to get the recipes right, though, even after re-reading the tutorial. Still, mushing bread into pudding and layering it with fish pudding was great. Physics-based food bouncing around and getting smushed and sliced was a great idea for satisfying gameplay.

Hello! It looks like your WebGL build on itch.io might be broken: Error.PNG

Yes, it's working now! :D

Channel Flipper by Knipsch 2022-10-03T19:01:25Z

@ruthiepee Ah, shoot! The UI will only work at a resolution of 1280x720, and it's supposed to be locked to that, but it looks like it isn't in your case. I'll try to fix that soon :) Thanks for the heads up!

Turnip Terrace by Jonah_SRG 2022-10-21T20:56:56Z

I'm so glad I played this one! "Veggies with little faces" is my favorite genre. I thought the art was perfect -- it got everything across simply and cleanly, and the colors were well chosen. Great job for having everything look good and cohesive during both day and night. The animations, especially the turnip and the deer, were delightful. Gameplay was smooth and fun, and I enjoyed playing it. I think the tutorial was actually longer than it needed to be; I would have been fine with "WASD to move, Z to interact," since the rest was easy to trial-and-error. Overall, really excellent job!

Sprint10 by Ben Parisi 2022-10-02T22:29:34Z

This is fun! I like the level design and the aesthetic. It's definitely hard; the challenge is fun, but I wish I had more lives (or could get more). Great job overall!

Birdwatching by Iguanana 2022-10-03T18:25:18Z

This is great! So chill and I love the bird facts. My favorite little UI thing is that the Latin bird names in the description text at the bottom light up green at the same time as the names directly above the bird. If you keep working on this project in the future, I think animating the birds a bit would have a really great impact (although I totally understand why it was out of scope for a weekend jam). I feel like the birdwatcher community would be really into this. :D Nice job!

Run 'n' Run by oldcezar 2022-10-21T21:33:08Z

I loved this! Every new theme was a fun surprise, and I really enjoyed the little accompanying text. I got hit by a train and died. I will say that I found no incentive not to hit the rocks, and I collected as many as I could. (Ended up at 187). Well done overall!

Overwhelming swarm by neropatti 2022-10-21T21:00:47Z

Nicely done! I liked the simplicity. It wasn't totally intuitive how killing enemies worked, though.

Scrubby Shrimp by Steven Garberg 2024-10-07T04:40:34Z

I loved all the fish, and really appreciated the attention to detail that went into illustrating and animating them! I did notice that most of the time I was able to swim/jump infinitely, but sometimes I couldn't, and I wasn't sure why. Overall, though, really lovely job on this!

Snail away by Thomas_Bringer 2024-10-07T05:27:16Z

This is excellent! I love the snail's visuals and the innovative movement mechanics. Fantastic job.

Keep It Up Kitty by richjbaron 2024-10-07T04:24:04Z

Pretty fun once I figured out how to play! I think the audio was my favorite part; I loved the music and I also really enjoyed how the balloon sound seemed to fit with it. The graphics and overall vibes were lovely but I wish the cat had been a little more animated (though I understand that's a lot to ask in such a constrained timeframe). Overall, great job!

Planet Worm by Knipsch 2024-10-07T17:44:26Z

@dzejpi thank you! 😊 you should be able to prevent the cursor issue in the WebGL build by hitting the fullscreen button in the lower right corner

Planet Worm by Knipsch 2024-10-09T00:35:24Z

@thomas-bringer thank you so much for your detailed feedback! yes, I think the visible breaking geometry is fixable but would require more time than I had. you're right, it should TOTALLY be an apple! maybe in the future :D

Beautiful work. Thank you for making it.

Stacking Zoo by j3m 2024-10-07T04:06:58Z

Super charming art style that reminds me a bit of children's books, and delightfully clever and challenging puzzles. Well done!

Would You Still Love Me? by RachelfTech 2024-10-07T04:34:01Z

Sweet and a little heartfelt, with a great sense of humor. (I think about this exact scenario a lot.)

Those Who Die As Cattle by ElliotS 2024-10-08T04:06:31Z

Love this take on WW1 trench warfare, and the focus on the casualties and human cost. Really well done.
