LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

Werewolf Village Attack by Marco 2017-12-05T13:02:25Z

Good use of sound effects, really creates a mood.

I think there are probably too many wolves at the beginning (there's more then than later in the game).

The reloading mechanic adds a lot of tension which I enjoyed.

I laughed when santa's sleigh appeared.

Good entry.

Behemoth by sidewalksleeper 2017-12-05T12:21:54Z

I like the mechanic, but feel that a clearer audio cue for when your overheating would make it easier top manage. Otherwise you have to keep an eye in the right hand corner the whole time.

The swerving graphics on the ship looked good.

Bum Bag Bangin' by DuzzOnDrums 2017-12-06T23:38:01Z

This game is my jam.

Boom from the start I'm blown away by the artwork popping out, the 2.5D is setup without a hitch.

Then the voice over comes in and the vibe is set.

Then the gameplay begins and I'm loving these characters, their animation, the things they say and the words above their heads, I almost don't want to kill them because I want to hear it play out.

Gameplay is tight. Quality is consisitently high. Concept is brilliantly dumb.

Well done.

CARnage by Rolle 2017-12-05T16:49:32Z

Nice mood, feels very madmax.

I like the Rival driver AI.

Car engine sound could do with some changing based on speed, and the NOS could use an animation. But those are nitpick points.

Would be cool if there were more pedestrians to run over as that is very fun. Like a big bundle at the beginning.

God job team.

Larry Kroft and the Temple of Booze by thomz12 2017-12-05T10:54:32Z

Great graphics and animation.

Like the button pressure mechanic, throwing away the loot is fun.

Wish there were some check points.

House Party by Richard141289 2017-12-06T23:24:09Z

Did you make all the assets? They are very nice.

I like the concept and the execution. It's a lot of procedural fun. Had a good time inventing moves to take out partygoers with.

The party was missing some music though.

Well done creating a fun and animated 3D game.

Deadly Diver by Ethan Kennerly 2017-12-07T14:21:21Z

Great job, a very complete feeling game.

Mechanic is really good. I liked that the risk/reward.

Would like to see some more freaky stuff/hazards as I dived down.

Was a lot of fun.

Hebe the ScOre Hunter by jamioflan 2017-12-05T12:49:37Z

I felt like WALL-E

Nice big map.

I think sound effects to let you know you're doing the right thing or when things go wrong would be cool. But there are deadlines of course ;)

I like the smoke clouds when you jump, makes it feel better.

Poser by PeachTreeOath 2017-12-05T07:01:07Z

Interesting take on the theme.

Gamified the feeling of scool cliques well.

I liked that there were different songs and mechanics for each clique.

Cat Lady Simulator 2020 by CubicTimeline 2017-12-07T00:03:30Z

Fun concept, I liked when the letter came through the door.

That old lady has some crazy acceleration though, I think she needs to be a little less slippy.

It's got a lot of charm to it. Well done.

The Peddler by AndrewBallinger 2017-12-05T07:25:27Z

Ha the music changed a little bit!

Like the concept.

However after a few traders I got stuck when I couldn't drag an item out of the trade box.

PullPals by eric-lathrop 2017-12-08T00:51:50Z

Audio work is great.

Gameplay is fun.

Artwork is cute.

I like the mechanic, I was able to cheese it a little by dragging one hand and skimming over the shapes to quickly skip over areas. But that's something that you can easily fix, not worth worrying about in a game jam.

A very complete feeling game.

Party Penguin by LiquidBrain 2017-12-07T20:34:38Z

Great integration of music into the game. The penguins look good in fluorescant.

The key mapping is a little confusing. But maybe that's the point.

I like the recreation of disco lighting in the game.

Would be cool to hear a pengion noise!

Dungeon Hands by eri0o 2017-12-06T20:07:46Z

Good presentation and cool card design.

An AI to play against would have been cool. I used a colleague, but both being novices we didn't know what we were doing.

I didn't have sound on Linux, not sure if that is a bug, or maybe it was something wrong on my end.

Interesting to see a card game on Ludum Dare.

Well done.

Drift Punk by CremaGames 2017-12-05T11:15:40Z

What an intro!

Presentation on another level.

Music pumping. (Although mine didn't play until my second life).

Great world design. Traffic worked great.

Third person camera done without a hitch

Would say that the hover bike sound effect was a bit repetitive, could use some gearing, but that's a nitpick.

AND LEADERBOARDS!

Will be recommending this! :)

eatMoreBurgers(); by Luther 2017-12-07T14:54:35Z

The bouncing pad mechanic is pretty cool. Although you are kind of screwed if there is a meatball between you and it.

Controls felt responsive and it was fun to move him. The art was a little abstract, was I in a diner booth? Was the floor made of cheese pizza? The meatballs made sense though.

The More the Not So Much Merriblobs by pinneh 2017-12-06T23:04:59Z

At first I thought it was too simple.

But then after a few levels and getting a feel for it, I was having a good time. The controls are good, the concept is simple. There are tactics with when you pop out of the safe zone.

I think the levels were randomized, which meant some were better than others, I like it when there would be a large space, it added some variety, I think it seemed to favour smaller levels.

Good concept, well executed. The Jazz fits quite well.

A Hero's Burden by muffty 2017-12-05T11:49:26Z

Presentation was on another level.

Choice mechanic within the action was unique and done very well.

I liked that there was voice acting.

I did laugh when the guy blew up placing the trap at the door.

Home Raider by Rongo Matane 2017-12-07T14:34:48Z

Fantastic use of the theme, well done.

Fun gameplay and the levels made sense. The mechanics were self explanatory and the footstep effect worked really well, easy to see what was going on visually. Well done on that, much better than having the player guess whther they were in hearing range.

Minor gripe, the controls feel a little laggy, movement seems to happen a bit too late after input. Making it hard to run away, but I guess this is a stealth game so that's not what you're supposed to do.

Good job team.

Diet Time by GerardB 2017-12-05T13:16:28Z

Good interpretation of the theme. We did an eating game too.

Would be cool to have a munching sound effect.

Well presented game little game, good job.

I wonder if I had a younger sister by fangzhangmnm 2017-12-05T07:14:26Z

I like that each sister's attack set is unique.

Cool pixel art of the anime characters.

The story text intertwined with the gameplay well.

I thought the flame attack looked great and loved the surprise of the giant pencil.

Kittea Party by JPiolho 2017-12-05T08:11:26Z

Good game!

The pixel art is beautiful, the colour palette is really well chosen.

I found the mouse direction movement to work best for me.

Laughed a lot at some of these old ladies, great character design.

I did get knocked outside of the house by one of my cats though.

2017-12-05-08:07:53.png

Had lots of fun though!

I tried the Linux version btw, thanks for the upload

Curse Collector by bridgs 2017-12-05T00:23:24Z

This is neat as.

Really innovative and interesting gameplay changes with curses

Fun controls, and the witches attacks look great.

Hell-A Work by kukiri 2017-12-05T07:53:04Z

Wow the level of polish here is fantastic.

The sound effects and music really sat well. Mayde hiring and firing satisfying.

Animations and character models look great.

Only problem I had was I was stuck in a good business at the end with one happy employee making me lots of money. I missed the days of chaos and employees jumping to their doom ;)

Really well done.

Winter Sleep by cenullum 2017-12-05T11:34:45Z

Do these guys ever stop chasing me?

I laughed when I got into the car.

Did you compose the music yourself?

Could do with being a bit more zoomed out. Things move so fast it's hard to see what's coming.

Good interactivity.

Team Of Super Awesome Robots! by IndieImpala 2017-12-05T12:14:13Z

This is one tough game!

Voxels look crisp and the camera work and ui boxes look superb.

That modem tone does sting the ears a little.

A high quality jam entry.

Gold Taxi by Code Dream 2017-12-05T11:07:17Z

Cool graphics.

However I feel going slower is less fun than full speed driving. So as you do better the game is feels worse (which is an interpretation of the theme, but one at the cost of gameplay).

Nice looking game world. Would like to hear the taxi horn! :)

Frostbite by Blinkeye 2017-12-05T13:36:15Z

The snow building up on clothing is cool.

At first I tried to put the wood on the fire instead of the log pile.

Music is funky. Maybe a bit too funky for the scenario of a family freezing to death in the wild. But it keeps the pace going.

Cool snow effect, the inside of the home looked very cosy too.

Trip to the Earth by guilhermesouza 2017-12-04T23:24:15Z

- Good take on the theme. - Cosmic mood. The intro set a nice tone. - Instruments sound great. - Artwork is trippy!

- I would say that death is a bit confusing, it pauses and then fades without a sound, I thought I had finished the level, only to find out I had destroyed the earth (the artwork and text on that screen are very good though).

SHADOW by niwraD 2017-12-06T20:19:14Z

Very difficult. I think there needs to be a introduction of the powers as it is very confusing. Also the shadow platforms and normal platforms are almost indistinguishable.

Good artwork and animation. I think there is a good idea at the core here, it's just too hard to get into!

Kittie Reaper: A Depressed Cat Tale by jfraser314 2017-12-06T19:02:22Z

Great concept of killing an enemy being bad. The character being Death made this all make sense, very good world building.

The elderly worm people artwork is great.

Some critiques: - Character movement could be a bit more fun, maybe faster? - The bright green and bright pink hurt my eyes a little.

The game felt the right length and had an ending, I enjoyed this game. Well done.

Captain Capsize by Lance Krasniqi 2017-12-05T16:36:15Z

Into tune: What rocking jam!

Honestly the presentation is close to a finished game. Incredibly impressive, well done team.

I think there should be more junk to pick up especially for beginners. I'd thrown everything overboard in a panic at the beginning (the sinking animations amused me). The mechanic is clever and spot on with the theme.

Others had mentioned the controls, hey what else is this play testing for though!

Again great job, everything fits together really well in this game.

Get Rich or Sink by Time Loop 2017-12-05T13:30:22Z

Cool game!

As others had mentioned the boat controls are a little difficult.

But the feel of being a sailor is certainly there. The music and characters works well.

Would have like to have seen some more islands out at sea.

Good mood.

The worse it is by Fugu 2017-12-05T13:10:56Z

It certainly got harder with every level.

Cool purple theme.

I think the guns should shoot more pellets, for a better game fell, feels like a bit of a weedy shotgun. Doesn't have to do more damage, just needs to feel bigger.

The choice of punishment every level is pretty cool.

Making it Hail by BalladofSong 2017-12-05T07:34:27Z

Cute artwork. I like the moustached octopus.

Controls are a little sluggish, and as regularjohn4 says, it is a little too zoomed in so I can't see where I am jumping.

Pineapple Madness by Isaac Lang 2017-12-04T23:50:10Z

Great intro.

I'm getting stuck after falling off the second bed. Now working on getting good. Is there a reset button? I'm just f5ing at the moment.

Lil' Justin's Fame Escape by spierek 2017-12-05T13:47:18Z

Really well done level with the crowds.

Laughed at the singing when I arrived at the concert.

Could do with some new mechanics introduced as the levels progress. Maybe different types of fans. Appreciate the limits of a game jam.

Very impressive and stylish.

Fatal nightmare by imod 2017-12-06T20:28:06Z

Cool final boss animation and artwork, really like that part.

Enemy art looks realkly good and how it changes when they are damaged is nice feedback for the player.

Destroying the UI at the end was an interesting change.

Good work.

Cody by Sapazu 2017-12-05T00:07:21Z

- Love the achievment pop ups - Jumping felt really good. - Liked the platform mechanics, being able to jump through them a little bit was cool. - Enjoyed smacking everything. - Graphics did the job, easy to read levels, animations felt right.

Good work.

Smack`Em! by mess110 2017-12-07T15:05:45Z

Really fast loading time, well done. Good choice of technology.

Animatinos were good and the characters looked funny. Not sure about the post processing horizontal line shader, but I guess it added to the arcade feel.

Fun game. Could do with a sound effect when you miss so you nknow you did a bad thing, I was a bit confused at the beginning as to why the game was ending.

Mo' Gold, Mo' Dragons by tvance 2017-12-06T21:54:02Z

Good music, did you write it?

I think the turning circle the character has makes the controls a little confusing.

I like the dragon AI, they're like scaly hungry hippos.

Mo' Gold, Mo' Dragons by tvance 2017-12-06T22:05:51Z

@tvance it's a good track, good on you for creating it yourself, gotta learn to hustle :)

Ignite by Scurf 2017-12-05T12:28:57Z

Love the art style and the point and click was well implemented.

The 3x3 puzzle upped the difficulty quite a bit.

I think the artwork help explain the story without words.

A job well done.

Theme - The Game by Cubeeo 2017-12-06T19:09:24Z

I though I wasn't confused until I pressed the spacebar.

Voxel Mob Arena by Bartosz 2017-12-07T20:26:34Z

The art style is pretty good. The colours work very well.

Shooting could feel a little more powerful. Maybe some sound effects to accompany the explosion of voxels when you hit something.

A good game.

[Web] Bunion by eldogg 2017-12-05T13:27:49Z

@GerardB strange :| I've tested it on the latest Chrome and Firefox on Windows 7 and Linux. Maybe you have a plugin installed? Try using an incognito window in Chrome (Ctrl+N).

[Web] Bunion by eldogg 2017-12-05T14:49:57Z

@tuism we're going to look at the controls on chrome, we think it may happen with a background tab, or be dependent on certain refereshes. Are you using Firefox Quantum? Anyway thanks for the debug feedback!

[Web] Bunion by eldogg 2017-12-05T17:15:44Z

@urnext7634 that shouldn't happen, we'll look in to it. Thank you.

Don't Level Up... Yet! by Alex Bryant 2017-12-05T09:33:49Z

I like the enemy path finding and the levelling up mechanic.

I got too powerful though and wasn't under the threat of getting hurt, so some faster enemies perhaps could mix things up.

I had good fun!

Sumo Slam 2D by Joel Rochon 2017-12-06T18:52:44Z

Terrain looks good and is fun to deform.

Wasn't sure how to start the game or whether it was locked up.

The character looked funny too. Nice and spherical.

Good work :)

Box Overboard! by Durrsly 2017-12-06T19:17:33Z

I like the screen swipes in the options menu.

Cool mix of old school graphics and modern physics.

Mortal Komba by kokirisandfriends 2017-12-05T09:22:50Z

Great artwork and animation. Fun simple gameplay.

Quite difficult with the character whose letter changes.

Liked the bird flapping mechanic.

LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Rogues Like Beer by NickZangus 2018-12-04T22:21:57Z

Really well made game. Everything looks fantastic, the art style is great. The characters are funny. The intro really creates a fun mood. Good gameplay mechanics and pacing too. Great job.

Sacrilicious by garethiw 2018-12-06T21:51:26Z

Tight, polished and fun experience, good job guys!

I really liked the camera work, it was call running up and down the hill and then zooming in.

Sprites combined with the lighting looks amazing.

I liked the screen shake and falling rocks.

Voice over for the volcano was another great addition.

KILLED TO DEATH by Phobos001 2018-12-06T21:55:25Z

Fun minimalistic game with nice feedback when shooting. I like the clean presentation.

STAR JUNK by christina-antoinette-neofotistou 2018-12-04T20:50:21Z

Cool risk/reward mechanic. I liked getting the enemies to shoot the asteroids for me, reserving my trash/crystals!

Super Smashed Bros by N4tticus 2018-12-06T21:16:55Z

Great fun, not played a multiplayer Ludum Dare entry before.

And Ha oh dear derpezoid whooped Vinny's (me) butt. It was a good fight though.

Interesting that you're doing it through ngrok, I guess it's cheaper than a linode. Seemed to work pretty well. Good job!

Would be cool for some sounds whilst I hit someone and maybe some animations. But the multiplayer aspect is fun in itself.

Demon Rising by GerardB 2018-12-06T21:34:51Z

Great work, I played you fruit eating game a few jams ago and you have come a long way!

The graphics look great and the animation makes it really satisfying to play.

Appreciate they are 3rd party sounds, but you did an excellent job integrating them into the game.

Gameplay wise the mechanism is great. I like how powerful the weapon seems, even at the beginning when it has a small range, and then the upgrades make it even better.

I was ready for maybe one more type of enemy, but still it's a great entry and one of the best I've played this jam, well done.

Vampyre by SandPile 2018-12-04T18:56:05Z

Great mechanic with the bat and possession. Well done.

Liked graphics, a nice colour palette.

The walking sound was a bit strange, but at least there was sound so I could hear the villager.

Power Down by tayl1r 2018-12-04T21:07:06Z

I like the lo-fi aesthetic. Art work is pretty cool. Also runs really well in the browser, which makes playing it a lot more fun.

The sound effects are a little harsh. Appreciate it's probably bfxr, but maybe altering the playback rate on them randomly (changing the pitch) would help to make them sound less repetitive.

EXCHANGE by hatchet 2018-12-04T21:00:59Z

Funny intro and intresting mechanic. Nice artwork too! I like the detail with the fingers.

Offerlings by eldogg 2018-12-06T21:45:13Z

@grena Thanks for playing. Well spotted, yes we removed some of them instructions as we didn't want people to be too confused. We only had enough time for three! I think what we've learnt for the future is to write a system that would allow us to generate levels from a template so the game would last a little longer.

Volcano Island by Arvejeitor 2018-12-04T17:43:29Z

I like the volcano graphic. And its fun to click the little guys and it looks cool and busy as they walk around.

Godot is a fun engine, good to see what can be done with it. The HTML5 version didn't work for me (Linux did).

I kept getting ahead the volcano's requests for sacrifice and double sacrificed a person of the same type and got a game over. Maybe the volcano should inform you of the change sooner?

Nice entry!

Whatever It Cost by FloYams 2018-12-04T11:53:40Z

I think I ran out of items on the third level

Things I liked: - Third level Parallax looks really good. - Sounds on thrid level are good too. - Characters look great. - Like the scrolling text and sound - Like the group and travelling down a road mechanic. Feels like Wizard of the Oz

Problems: - Health bars on hits don't display long enough to see them - The "end turn" button remained after defeating the first big guy

Good stuff!

Fire Swept by Eric Smith 2018-12-04T21:52:41Z

Great graphics and implementation of RTS controls (zoom and pan).

I think a little bit of tutorial text would help (maybe on this page or in game). Just to make it clearer what to do.

The audio makes the gameplay exciting, with the action music and voice work.

Good job!

The Curse of the Conquistador by Myrrhe 2018-12-06T22:04:38Z

Cool entry. I like the movement controls and the numbers above enemies when you shoot them.

Oh Those Bloody Angels! by DriagonV 2018-12-06T21:09:59Z

Hey I like the piano. I could only play the WebGL version as I'm on Linux, but it seems like a cool idea. Good work!

Sven by Donitz 2018-12-04T19:56:08Z

Absolutely amazing game. Stands out . This should win.

At first I was like "another hand drawn thing". But then boom! The animation is superb the changing levels via panes is done really well. It's so cool.

And then the gameplay. So much fun, such a great progression of ideas. The different enemy attacks is really neat and the reuse of the base elements such as fire makes for a rewarding, logical experience.

The use of sound is excellent too, great choice.

The story and exposition, with the npc in the world makes it great too. The player having the knife during the action sequences makes it easier to tell which one you are which is great.

Technology. I can't believe you wrote this in pure JS. Amazing. It plays so well! This is the first time I've actually downloaded someone's sourcecode to take a look!

Great job!

P.S. Yes the last boss beat me into sacrifice, I tried! But he wore me down. May do another play through later. I really like that I can see there is another ending via the panels. SO COOL!

Breeze Wanderer by Luca1152 2018-12-04T22:01:27Z

Great mechanics and runs really well. Good that it restarts instantly when you fail a level.

An animation on the fan would help at the beginning, to show that it's active, but I think the artwork's simplicity helps focus the gameplay.

Like others mention the camera makes precise clicking hard. Maybe assign each fan a number/key and the player presses them on their keyboard? Who knows.

Good game.

Dungeon of Friendship by captainweeaboo 2018-12-04T21:23:10Z

Cool music and artwork.

I like the implementation of switching characters and having the camera move around the level between them, it makes you think!

Accidentally hit "R" and reset a few times! Maybe have a confirmation?

Hungry God by fzillo 2018-12-04T21:35:07Z

I feel relaxed. It's a beautiful game. Would be cool to have a punishment system, although that may mess with the chilled vibes. I like the pineapple giggles. Good work!

Cull the herd (HTML Game) by Ninnec 2018-12-06T22:30:37Z

I like the breeding part, took me the second go round to figure out what implications it would have. It's cool that different levels could be solved in different ways.

I think the jumping could do with being dependent on how long the button is pressed for, I bred a good jumper, but it kept jumping too high for me to get between platforms.

Good entry and excellent original use of the theme.

Vikrifice by Lucidus 2018-12-04T18:34:40Z

Funny cat mechanism. Cool pixel art.

I like the not being able to double jump whilst carrying an animal.Changes up the mechanics and rewards you for killing the enemies.

Invisible platforms are a bit too invisible. But I guess you need to make them secret!

Break a leg by AxelOlivier 2018-12-04T20:20:51Z

Cool graphics and title screen.

Nice implementation of limbs falling off. I like the funny animations.

Disassembly Line by Borja 2018-12-04T22:27:09Z

Great menu scene to introduce the idea of picking up robots.

I like the bad robots preview with their lights so you know they are coming.

Good job.

Battling Madness by Sykoo 2018-12-06T21:23:39Z

The intro was really well put together and creepy.

I like the reverb on the sound effects.

Peregrinations by Mathilde 2018-12-04T21:18:35Z

It's a cool vibe to the game. It feels very 1800-1900s. I like the character design and animation. The level setup is pretty neat too.

I think it's a little too hard at the beginning which is a bit off putting. The tank controls are a bit strange to get used too and the exact throws make it difficult to keep the fire burning.

To Please the Master by Simon Strange 2018-12-06T22:15:39Z

Cool environment and character art. I wasn't sure which bits to click to interact, but there's definitely an interesting game in here. I liked playing pin ball.

LD46 — Keep it alive

Operation SOL-3 by Criobite 2020-04-24T22:20:46Z

That first enemy hidden around the corner is pretty sneaky. It's a good combination of assets and the intro page looked like a 90s movie. The AI could do with some randomisation thrown in to stop them all doing the same point and shooting, but it feels good as a shooter. I did fall through the floor at one point, falling endlessly, so maybe have a y position check every frame to reset the position if the player is beneath the world.

Monster Keeper by yetanother 2020-04-29T18:10:57Z

Fun to play, not frustrating like many games in jams can end up - quick reloading works well. I like that the monster's faces change when they are about to fall - this is great feedback for the player and putting it in the game makes it much more interesting than having it displayed in a UI. I would say the wheel textures could use a little bit of detail (something minimal a hub with a few squares for bolts) so you can tell if they are spinning - but that's a small nitpick - good work!

Flame Keeper by codexus 2020-04-24T19:38:54Z

"Nooooo!" - great voice sample!

On the web version low settings made the first puzzle much less frustrating to complete, so maybe default to them (don't know how easy that is to do).

Very moody concept. The cannon at the end was a bit challenging, but quite a funny way to finish the game.

Keep the Fire by PerpetuumMobile 2020-04-24T21:23:47Z

Cool use of light in a 2D platformer. It does feel quite claustrophobic at times. Wasn't sure if enemies/water were affecting my torch, maybe some animation/indicator for that (sorry if there is one and I missed it). Music was relaxing.

GhostVac by christina-antoinette-neofotistou 2020-04-26T18:57:17Z

Fun and simple, feels like it should be a mini game in an RPG/Open World game. Great use of a shiny texture and reflection with dot screen. Cool seeing the balls roll around in the back when the doors opened like a real machine would.

Hive Preserver by _for_science 2020-04-24T19:21:15Z

Amazing like Half Life combined with superhot. Played on Linux. Tremendous environments, the choice of color is great. Fun mechanics and perfect length. Like the pacing too, and the checkpoints - normally people make games too hard and unforgiving, so I was relieved to not have to restart when I died. I like that enemies are highlighted as it makes sense for an alien to see the world that way.

Whalestrom by aevek 2020-04-24T21:47:57Z

The whale and ships designs are great. I like the jellyfish enemy types, wish I could look at them up close, maybe they could be bigger? The pickups should probably happen automatically as its quite hard to navigate your ship to grab them. The controls could do with remapping as the A+D keys would be best swapped with Q+E as I probably want to change my yaw more than my roll (I think thats what those terms mean).

But great work, like the world building you put in at the start. The tracks are pumping too. Whale gods in space is crazy, yet it makes so much sense.

Jake, Zack, and Chad's Day Out by Historymaker118 2020-04-21T13:42:51Z

This game has style! Liked interacting with the elements in the house - the essential parts of the interaction were there. Would be cool to skip the intro with a button on repeat intros. But the animation in the intro is very cool, Voxel characters look great. Fun humour too.

Keep Meat Alive by Nitero 2020-04-21T16:22:46Z

Great game. The difficulty curve is probably too steep at the beginning, and it's also unclear where to place the turrets. BUT it is really fun, the lighting/graphics and mood are great and the animation and art is fantastic. Killed 9 of them. So squelchy I felt sick :)

Field Hospital by n.feofentov 2020-04-26T09:40:40Z

I like that there was no failure condition, I think it really makes you think of the consequences and is also less frustrating for the player. Really well polished UI, satisfying to sign and stamp things! most moody game I've played in this jam. Like the report at the end, especially the inclusion of the doctor and a funny touch wit the devs in the credits. Right length too.

VAMP by gwinnell 2020-04-24T22:02:24Z

Reminds me of the first person parts in the snes jurassic park game, it was doom like and there were raptors that attacked in similar ways as you do in this - with the distorted screams too. Anyway this is a great little game, like the color palette, runs really well too, so it feels fast paced. The mini map is a nice touch. Good job! Cool moon!

The Little Bakery of Horrors by RobotsAndMuffins 2020-04-23T20:05:05Z

Fun idea and cool contrast between the bakery and monster. Would be good to have feedback when pressing the buttons. Also the counters being far away from the buttons makes it hard to keep in your eyeline what needs clicking. Thought it was funny that the monster was getting so big it was filling the room in the back.

Delivery Derby by eldogg 2020-04-24T21:20:54Z

Thanks for the feedback everyone it's good to hear you enjoy the voiceovers! The voice is one of us. We've got a link to a [post jam](https://foxdogstudios.com/static/delivery-derby/) version which has some fixes and has touch controls too. It's our first driving game and we've enjoyed the challenges in making it. We can recommend BabylonJS as a good tool to write "native" web games.

Delivery Derby by eldogg 2020-04-26T09:01:28Z

@emperor-eagle Thanks for the detailed feedback, appreciate it! We've been working on the post-jam version and made it so other vehicles travel at around 60% speed when they have the package, which makes it much less annoying to chase them.

Delivery Derby by eldogg 2020-04-26T21:15:51Z

@wdebowicz thanks! Stealing deliveries was the solution to them driving into the delivery at top speed and smacking it off the edge of map!

Delivery Derby by eldogg 2020-04-29T18:17:42Z

@gameovermexico thanks for the feedback, yeah falling through the map is something we'd like to fix in the future - we made a voiceover for it to make it less frustrating for the player

@lasagnaandroid Yes it was originally going to be focused on keeping the packages health alive, but we got distracted with other elements of gameplay. The car does strange things when reversing, another thing we'd like to look at!

@slimbun Glad you liked it! Sorry to cause you nausea! Maybe our camera needs some tweaking to not react to quick movements in the physics.

@adsilcott Thanks for the kind words. The ridiculous car shapes were our "reward" for making it so you could change the size of car in code (set the height/width/depth) - and it would generate a car with the right sized wheels etc. to fit it.

Delivery Derby by eldogg 2020-05-01T15:48:32Z

@magus77 Thanks for the honest feedback, appreciated! Yes the direction arrows only point to the package in the Jam entry (fixed in the post jam update) - so once you've picked it up and its rolling around in the back they change to keep pointing at it! Sorry your package clipped through - we need to learn more about these darn physics engines!

Mount Ookie by Brusi 2020-04-28T17:02:35Z

Love the idea of a moving level that is an ancient creature. Good job!

Only aesthetic change I would suggest would be to have something less annoying than the wasp sound, I know they're sound like that in real life, but we're genetically predisposed to hate it them. That's a very small change, as the audio is very well done, I was playing with headphones and was able to hear in stereo where they landed.

Really great artwork and design, the choice of colors was great for making each character stand out. Good job!

The Appetite of Blaise the Fire by Drunkain 2020-04-21T21:31:04Z

Loved it! Really fun. Like Katamari Damacy, but hotter!

Maybe some instructions that you can't pick things too big until you're ready would be good as I thought the painting couldn't burn for a bit, it made the beginning a bit more difficult - but wow when you bust out of the house with the music kicking in - what a feeling

Well paced and complete feeling game.

Did you guys make all the assets (sorry if I sound offensive here just wondering, they were very well put together even if you did use external ones)? Great work.

Cubi & Spheri by Hugo kieffer 2020-04-21T15:58:35Z

Great graphics - the characters look like they have personalities.

Attacking feels a bit floaty, but the rope physics is fun and makes sense with the gameplay (rope looks good too, like a real cable).

Sunlit by palsina 2020-04-21T13:58:35Z

Fruit ninja for gardeners!

Great work. The branch growing mechanic/animation is really satisfying and feels unique and the colours work great against the grey environment. Left feeling very peaceful. Just when I thought I had seen what the game had to offer, a squirrel appeared.

Zoo keeper by Team-on 2020-04-24T18:54:00Z

Mini games are nice and simple. Great artwork, feels like an illustrated childrens book. Those instructions on the owl game got me though!

Panda Smash by rumor 2020-04-21T22:11:31Z

Good use of artwork and music to create an atmosphere. The rain looked good too. Not sure about being able to infinitely spawn items, maybe have a limit and remove the oldest ones. Also couldn't tell which panda was which. A cool idea well executed.

Medically Inaccurate by Emperor Eagle 2020-04-26T09:56:34Z

Feels fun to shoot the gun and cool when the syringes are stuck in the enemies. Like that the pickups had magnetism to them and that things shrank before they disappeared.

The gun fire sound could do with some pitch variation, normally you randomly change the playback speed, can make it sound less repetitive.

Could do with a color that's not red, kind of made my eyes sore looking at it, the meshes are good, just the lighting/coloring could be less harsh to make things easier to look at.

Cool game! Has fun built into it!

Volty's Quest by Casey Macneil 2020-04-21T16:47:03Z

Now this is a game! Really satisfying to control the battery and the charge mechanic works really well with the puzzles. Like that you can see your charge level on the character art. Couldn't break through the wall in the level with 4 cannons though :( - The tunes were absolutely pumping too, and they mixed in really will with the sound effects.

Fill Up Yum Yum's Tum Tum by SassyKeys 2020-04-21T19:17:12Z

I like the inclusion of the voiceover, was a bit long until the gameplay began. Maybe it could have been spliced with the gameplay? I liked how the camera pulled out as the game continued and that there was an ending of sort rather than going on endlessly (unless it does and I didn't notice!). Cool intro card, looks like a childrens TV show!

Seven Nights by bigwhiteshogun 2020-04-23T19:49:17Z

Lovely art and peaceful music. Was quite scared of the night section. I guess the mechanics seem quite imposing at first and I can see you put lots of detail into explaining them on this page. I would say the i key for inventory is a bit far away from where my hands are comfortable, maybe 'E' would have been better. Anyway a very ambitious title and you did a good job!

Keep It Alive by minnka 2020-04-24T21:56:33Z

Horrendous, one of the most traumatic things I've seen on this website. Well done! How did you create the hairy guy? It ran pretty badly on the web and cooked my computer, but I had fun, I like the animation of picking people up to eat them.

Shiny by LeGoLaZ 2020-04-28T17:21:50Z

Great graphics and art style. Works really well with the dark and light theme, the neon colors are a nice change from oranges that normally feature in dark vs light games. Would be good to have a sound when you hit an enemy as it can feel a little bit floaty - solid mechanics though and level layout. Good job!

Save the Fish by Duck Reaction 2020-04-24T20:33:19Z

Lovely squidgy animations. Very disgusting. Gross. I like it. Sound effects chosen feel really fun! Horns are great.

THE PATH by theblackfrog 2020-04-21T18:09:29Z

The intro is really well done. Difficulty curve is a bit steep as timings seem to need to be exact, but the art is amazing and the sound effects are very funny. Lots of character in the little chicks.

Vacuum Queen by Prof.Suarez 2020-04-21T21:12:00Z

Cool how tiny everything is. Would be good to add more zombies and save the spawning of blue guys (who you I avoid as per your comments). Like the random dungeons! But I liked the simplicity and unknown element of the dungeon layout. Particle effects when killing things were satisfying too, maybe small ones of them when hitting an enemy?

The scaling of the textures is a bit blurry in the browser, normally in a game engine you need to select nearest filtering to fix this ([something like this for Construct](https://www.construct.net/en/forum/construct-2/how-do-i-18/blurry-pixels-problem-111952)) - I'm no expert though, can be difficult to make web pixel graphics games look right!

BTW we fixed our crash on iOS browsers for our game thanks to your comment (but we've yet to add touch support, but will do as a post fix).

Ubergine by curleysam 2020-04-21T21:47:43Z

WOW. What a game. I didn't know who Dingus or Gundog were before - and I still don't now, but I love them! Really great animation when they're running/flying. The water looks sparkly and the aubergine looks hideous in the best way possible. Good progression with the gun upgrades. Plus the damage effects and music/sfx - very satisfying. Managed to complete it on the third try - I really wanted to defeat those hungry dudes! Played it on controller and my mind was in an elevated state of being managing both characters and the controller. Well done all.

runrunrunrun by ZabaMan 2020-04-21T18:58:32Z

Like a warioware.io game!

Have lots of experience making multiplayer party games and you nailed it - obviously hard to tell as its kind of hard to play with anyone else at the moment, but the simplicity of the mechanics and the assignment of characters and controls is all exactly right.

Drivin' Alive by bziarkowski 2020-04-21T16:11:39Z

Fun interacting with the desk, and the fake computer screen is cool. Like that there were two gameplay modes. Couldn't beat the ambulance levels though, so maybe they should start easier.

Scrambl'd by StarErik 2020-04-28T21:21:04Z

Haha this is cool, not only technically but as a game too! Great blog post on the main page. Really fun to play, music makes me want to line dance. Good gameplay, I like that you start in a high place so the first thing you learn is that you die if you fall too high. Good design all around and runs nice and fast too!

Egg's Eggsoddus by Nothingness 2020-04-24T19:58:38Z

Really enjoyed the space kitchen at the beginning, would like more levels with familiar items like that, although the game-y obstacles torture chamber/conveyor belts in the later make the gameplay fun - so who am I to say. Funny the way the egg wobbled, it had lots of character! Liked the intro music with ascending melody, created much excitement.

Save The Cake by memoryFloater 2020-04-23T19:54:22Z

YES this was some real arcade fun. Very satisfying gameplay. The sounds and reactions to clicking were great. I like the progression of the enemies as you go on and the effects when you kill them. Plus them actually taking bits of the cake rather than it just disappear was a really nice touch.

Mr. Cheesy by SAVVU 2020-04-21T17:50:15Z

Cool graphics and art direction. The background suits the cheese colour. Would be great as a web game too. Who knows what's next, maybe cheese wire obstacles you could jump.

The Dark Cave by Tom Stephenson 2020-04-26T21:51:07Z

Procedural animation was definitely worth the effort as it gives the spiders lots of life!

New Word Order by Bart Wach 2020-04-24T21:03:43Z

This is a fun idea as typing is something that everyone on a computer knows how to do. I like seeing new words I've not heard before, would be cool if in the end it could tell me what some of them meant! Would be good to see what you are typing, or at least a reaction to you typing. Cool idea!

Catch The Mouse keep it alive by GameOverMexico 2020-04-29T18:24:57Z

Apart from the invisible collisions and the deadly nuts (haha why they would kill you and the mushrooms wouldn't) - it's very fun to play! I like the simplicity, just jump! Some bits are mad impossible if you respawn at the wrong time (the worm bit), but reloads really quickly so isnt too annoying. Good job!

Apopecalypse by weil 2020-04-21T18:00:33Z

Cool godot 3d game!

The shading on the cubes could do with ambient light to make it clearer where the edges are, at the start it looked like a checkerboard pattern.

Difficulty curve is a bit sharp, would be good to have easier (straighter lines) at the beginning.

Music is goooooood.

The pope vechicle model looks fantastic. Particle effects are great too.

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Heaven Slash by FireSlash 2020-10-06T15:57:54Z

Cool art work and aesthetic. The gameplay was fun too and it felt like a complete game. Good job. The weapon upgrades were good. The two character system was also cool.

Woofice Chair! by JorgeGameDev 2020-10-10T20:28:41Z

The sound effects when clobbering a bunch of them in a loop is so satisfying. Really well done game in every category. Well done.

What Goes Around by Omiya Games 2020-10-18T13:05:28Z

Nice implementation of a spherical world, e.g., the player, enemy and projectile movement works really well. I appreciate the auto fire, although the rate was a bit low. Fun idea which fits with the theme.

Another One Loops the Dust by limered 2020-10-09T16:04:13Z

Really cool audio effects and nice graphics style. Good job!

Debugger by wdebowicz 2020-10-06T19:54:58Z

People who write lines over 80 chars love this game.

YEAH! This is so cool! Such a smart dumb idea, Really like the whole look of it. Literally programmer art. Crazy. The right length too. Nice controls feel as well. Well done! Hope more people play it!

SPΓ…RVAGN by Dustyroom 2020-10-08T12:50:47Z

Incredible package. Every element, graphics, audio, gameplay, controls and ui all complement each other. Feels relaxing even when it is intense. Good work! The orthographic camera is really satisfying, and the detail level on the town is just right. The town has a very generous metro system taking people literally 10 metres away - great for accesibility!

Upventure by javicepa 2020-10-06T15:31:36Z

Really cool tower effect and I like the use of stacked sprites to create 3D Geometry.

Difficulty ramp was a bit crazy and could have done with resetting trhe falling blocks, but it was very fun.

Great entry.

The Loop by minibobbo 2020-10-06T22:31:51Z

I like the feeling of movement and speed with the background scrolling and the shooting effects feel very satisfying. A nice little shooter, that yes very much reminded me of super scope, an excellent homage. Great entry.

Goofy Goose by rootools 2020-10-06T14:03:05Z

Very relaxing, concise game that suits this jam perfectly. Thank you for making it! I like the feel of the gameplay and the sound of the goose as they jump. Nice conclusion with the space rocket. And very good direction in the game telling you what to do.

Good job!

DEATH STRING by miziziziz 2020-10-06T13:24:48Z

Satisfying weapon to use. Sound effects work well to make annihilating enemies fun. Gibs are great too.

Ribbon by 100th_Coin 2020-10-11T21:35:46Z

This is a chocolate fudge sundae of a game, with a cherry on top. I laughed out loud, I had my mind blown, and my ears popped when the music changed. What an experience. So aesthetically unique. This game has so much power it gives it away to those who play it, I feel energised. Thanks.

Unnatural Selection - Circle of Life by Robinerd 2020-10-07T20:38:21Z

Really cool concept, visual evolutionary algorithms, I think the colours could have been a bit less dark, but it didn't affect the fun I had watching them grow. However I thought the orbs would be reset each round, so you had to build the ultimate orb collector species, but it was easier with them gradually going away, so less frustration = more fun. Good game.

Hoop Knight by lectvs 2020-10-06T14:46:57Z

Now this is a game! Very fun to play. Really tight intergration of the art/animation/audio. Like the telegraphing of the enemies attacks. In the "last round" I was thinking, "what about those two guards..." - and then the game delivered. Fade in/fade out of music was a nice touch as well as other visual transitions, like the spawn markers. Just well made all around. Development time was put into the right places.

Sir Fishbottom and Also Head's TIME MOB by TyrusPeace 2020-10-06T16:12:53Z

Great character art, animation and voice work. Probably one of the best "multiple-yous" style of game I've played this jam thanks to the reset button which makes it less tedious when you see what you need to do to get the answer.

I would say the 3rd (I think) level with the three raising button towers was very tricky, not sure if I did it right or cheesed it.

A very good entry.

Mind the Gap by coderTrevor 2020-10-18T21:04:28Z

Lovely game. Like how every element was there, the dialog, the animation, the music and the atmosphere. The models are great, it was quite refreshing to play a puzzle adventure in a world with physics (like the drone). Really well done, and its cool you made the music on a pocket operator, I have one and they are great fun.

P.S. The linux version works fine for me, just had to make it executable with `chmod +x LD47\ -\ Mind\ the\ Gap.x86_64`.

Loop Frogs by GaryS 2020-10-06T11:56:54Z

Great mechanic and liked the frog's style. Fun puzzle design too.

Didn't know about the double jump, so took me a while on one of the levels.

Very good entry.

Groundhog Garden by svyatozar 2020-10-10T09:33:13Z

Love that you made an online multiplayer game. really low lag etc., when I was online there were a few other people there and that made it fun to do.

Track Day by Remzo 2020-10-06T22:42:44Z

Love the carnage of all the cars at the beginning and the particle effects/tire trails. Great job.

Caterpillar Cowboy by eldogg 2020-10-08T10:50:33Z

@javasaurus Thanks for playing on your stream, sorry we missed it live, think we submitted it just as you finished up the previous night. Enjoyed watching your playthrough, thanks for highlighting the butt in a wall bug, haha hope your 5 year old enjoys!

Caterpillar Cowboy by eldogg 2020-10-11T12:31:55Z

@mrchickenboy One of us mostly made audio and programmed it all into the engine the whole 3 days, while the other worked solidly on the chicken physics.

PARADπŸ•‘X SECURITY by grizeldi 2020-10-07T20:24:17Z

The "strongest" mood I've experienced in a game this jam. Concept is solid and it's nice how the abandoned city is populated by your clones. The camera lag feels a bit strange and it's hard to know if your bullets are connecting. But you've done a very unique concept well, it explains itself within the game. Good job!

Beyond Death by Trypants 2020-10-06T14:32:44Z

The environment and the animations are great.

Soundtrack is amazing, with it changing with the environment it really makes the player feel a change as the game progresses and that something sinister is approaching.

Well done to the team!

Caterpiloop by Marcus Otterstrom 2020-10-08T13:19:19Z

Haha awesome caterpillar game (we have a caterpillar in ours too, bug solidarity!). Really like the audio, as soon as I heard the menu noises I knew I was in for a good time. The painterly art style is very warm and feels like a childrens story book come to life. The rewind transitions could be faster after the first, but that's a small thing. Great job team.

Crash Thunderstud Returns by JavaSaurus 2020-10-08T12:16:20Z

Cool game, I like that you have a character whose adventures you continue between compos. Animation is good, and the effects on the gates being destroyed looks cool. Was the gunshot sound really a cookie in a box? Good job.

Crash Thunderstud Returns by JavaSaurus 2020-10-08T15:14:01Z

@javasaurus well it sounds fantastic, maybe you're no amateur after all. May have to borrow your technique and go buy some cookies.

Looper by Maytch 2020-10-06T13:40:34Z

Beautiful artwork. Felt like I was in a summer garden in a space colony.

Really appreciate the controls help button, very user friendly.

Great entry.

Infinite rails by BOOtak 2020-10-08T22:07:48Z

Super cool and unique. The bespoke graphics make it it stand out and they look really nice, smooth and are easy to read. The dodecahedron (probably got that wrong sorry) with the camera follow looks great and I liked the added story with him talking, it added that little bit of context that made the whole experience more complete. Yes it was short, but quality > quantity and I finished playing with a smile. Thanks!

I Reboot by WegPast 2020-10-08T22:35:15Z

Good job! I've played a few games in this jam with a "replay your actions" mechanic, but lots have been to help you, so its a cool variation where it's against you.

Stuck in a pool! by BlackLambert 2020-10-06T19:35:53Z

Great art, sound and gameplay. I like the looping level design and characters. Really cool game that doesn't outstay its welcome. Good job everyone.

Need More Space by wheatleyscience 2020-10-06T10:25:46Z

- UI looks great. Like the styling of the big text and the death cards/images being unique for each way you die. - Texture work on the 3D assets is good too, the runes on the rocks look cool. - Spacey Soundtrack is well suited for the game - Animations of the character are a nice touch too. - Mechanics are very well done, using the hot and cold of the planet to cook things and melt water is a neat idea.

I would say the pickup animation could be quicker, its a bit frustrating to watch them pick something up slowly as a licky monster is approaching.

Great job guys.

HONK II by Tricky_Fat_Cat 2020-10-11T12:29:35Z

Sat here listening to the menu music on loop.

So good! Had to play the win version as the webgl had some lag on the audio, and I wanted to enjoy the juiciness, Great job all around, felt like a very complete game experience and was very fun to play.

Hamster Simulator by snowinn 2020-10-06T21:21:23Z

Why does this game draw me in so? Hard to describe, or even understand why it's so endearing. Is it the crazy rotoscope gif? Or maybe it's the music, which rocks, did you make it, it's perfect, could have used it during the jam to keep me going! Great job!

JACKASTER by DS Nahogara 2020-10-06T15:40:40Z

Cool style, I couldn't go fullscreen on itch.io, which I think this game would benefit from because of the pace of the action.

I like the use of sprites in the world as 3D entities.

Cool entry!

Inside Divine Comedy by Yulia_li 2020-10-06T13:55:00Z

Got through all the circles and feel much better now. The artwork is great. Really liked the creatures (my favourite was the round guy), the background artwork was great as well.

Good entry!

Hot's Dogs by Tyler Law 2020-10-07T20:13:34Z

Crazy world you guys have created. Just immensely detailed, with lots to explore. Like the 3D UI hotdogs. The mustard looks tangy!

Escape from LAB 2635 by Rein 2020-10-07T18:04:37Z

Really funny character design, was rooting for the guy every time he went into the acid or blasted by a laser.

Crazy Running Cow by Vollfeiw 2020-10-06T16:29:32Z

Hey great job. We're programmers learning Blender too. Cow animation is great and the orthographic world view fits the gameplay style, the drifting is fun!

Really like the use of the particle effects and lights. Would be fun to have things you could smash through without punishment, as I liked the bomb explosion, but had to avoid it survive!

Also the arcade style notifications of speed boosts etc is a nice touch that integrates well into the game and is cooler than having it on a UI.

Very solid entry.

Neverquest 6: a minimalistic singleplayer mmorpg - it's a game by Naamed 2020-10-06T13:08:13Z

An eclectic mix of RPG systems. Cool to see a 3D Godot game. Fun to interact with the hub world.

Redneck Raceway by Henrik Ganard 2020-10-06T19:47:25Z

Nice small game! A simple mechanic that is fun to play with. I liked the cinematic camera and the audio fading in and out based on the distance to the camera. Good job!

Clockstop Jane by inanimatecarbonrod 2020-10-11T13:06:06Z

Really fun aesthetic, felt very western. The wall jumping felt really fun to do!

Escape the Sun by MikoMikoSpark 2020-10-07T17:26:53Z

Cool music track, really suited the fast pace of the game. Awesome sense of speed when flying about.

Dead Loop by Tom_A 2020-10-06T12:27:37Z

Graphics looks great and the animation on the characters is nice. The controls integrated into the environment is cool too.

I like the character's monologue to themself.

Also the computer report is well done too.

Would be good if the person typed faster lol. Also maybe it should be easier to find samples.

Good entry.

Grabby - The Ultimate Grabbinator by rucksack 2020-10-07T18:20:42Z

Woo this is wild. Love the introduction with picking up the USB, well worth putting it in.

Cannon fodder style enemies was great, really fun annihilating the human captors.

Like that a loop was used in multiple ways, the factory line, the controls and more.

Great job!

[while'd] by Celuloide 2020-10-07T10:42:05Z

Amazing animation, colour palette, character design and ui style! The loop restart was a bit of a pain especially as at first I didn't even realise it had happened. But the controls felt good to play with, and it was funny watching the arms flail around.

Stop Motion by Cafe Ducha Siesta 2020-10-10T20:41:34Z

Really funny commentator on the helicopter, it added an extra layer to the whole game. I could imagine this would be even crazier with a few more cars on the track, but it was fun to drive around. Thanks for making a cool game!

Commuter by Aran Ink 2020-10-06T19:22:42Z

Yes! Now this is _game_. So much fun destroying everything - played lots of games in the jam which punish this behaviour - but you all have it right. And the music brings up the energy even more. Good job all around.

BTW WebGL seems to run much better when not in fullscreen.

Merry-Go-Madness and The Claw Of Survival by LetterAfterZ 2020-10-06T12:37:24Z

Great attention to details with a title card and tutorial. Good that there is button skip it too.

The art style is fun and the game play feels snappy. Would be good to have a more obvious claw sticking out so it's easier to see where you will hit.

Lots of fun.

Looper by Shortbread 2020-10-07T17:42:52Z

Beautiful game. Just nice to stare at a level move around. Really satisfying. Great collection of sounds to accompany the gameplay. Like a wii menu gone wild. Thanks for this.

Do-Nut Stop! by Javid Ladhani 2020-10-06T12:10:18Z

Great animations on the worker and really fun when you're in the loop of managing them in the factory. Some more guidance on what to do or not do would be useful, I thought the burnt donuts were chocolate, haha. Good entry!

Loopwise by Baran 2020-10-06T20:30:20Z

So much fun. It's a well paced action/puzzler. I initially thought the numbers where HP, then I saw what was going on - which I mean to say in a good way, it was an exciting revelation. Great job. The CRT style graphics suit it perfectly. A very audible YES was bellowed when I finally got 256.

Express Without Remorse by alpacalypse 2020-10-10T22:08:57Z

Very cool gameplay loop where I wanted to keep upgrading my stuff. Also like the humour in the texts, gave it some life. Good job!

DeliveryTruck by Cerins 2020-10-10T20:51:51Z

Really cool puzzle game, it got my mind whirring. I like the seeming simplicity of the game that allows for deep puzzles. Cool stuff, thanks!

Please Just Leave by Noam Blei 2020-10-08T22:20:21Z

Really like how they open the door, it has a lot of character in the animation, definitely has the look of someone walking into somewhere and feeling awkward - great sound effect on it too.

Then when the narrator started talking and telling me what to do I knew I was in for a good time. A well realised concept, making a little go a long way, which is what good game design (and jam technique) is about! Thanks!

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Cosmonoid by neontropics 2021-05-02T10:43:46Z

Cool 6DOF game. The UI for the grapple going red/green to let you know when it can be used is a great touch. It was fun to fly around on the end of the rope. The text is fantastic, with the sound effect it makes it seem way more exciting than just appearing. Good job.

Ancient Heart by ThiefViolinist 2021-05-14T20:15:05Z

The robot dog made me laugh when he started running.

Anatomically Correct Human by Evan 2021-05-14T20:03:45Z

This is a funny game. Like the freedom of drawing an intestine and the clean artwork.

Depths of Slumber by Snowdrama 2021-04-27T13:54:46Z

Nice complete feeling game. I liked the transitions between levels and how they were randomly generated. Also the mechanic of being chased by yourself was neat. The music was also very dreamlike. It would be a bit less frustrating to get around the spikes if the player stopped quicker. Good job.

> Retrieve Legs by UC101 2021-04-30T22:45:26Z

Cool aesthetic and really awesome intro. The idea is very interesting and the body horror theme is nice.

Dwarf Deep by aevek 2021-04-27T10:56:10Z

Real nice ambience with music and the art is crisp and clear. Others have said the air mechanic makes it tough, which I agree with, either more bubbles, slower decrease or faster movement would fix this, but that's a small change as the rest of the game is fun. I liked that dying wasn't game over. Good job.

Update: I just realised you can create your own air pockets via drilling rocks. I think just a simple hint in the game would help for that as the players may not know you had implemented that logic (I always assume the worst case with these things). But it opens up with creating a little base as you progress. CooL!

Despair by blaster391 2021-04-28T21:37:41Z

As basic as the game looks it's actually an incredibly complete experience, the gameplay loop of upgrading constantly was really fun, as was picking what I wanted to upgrade. The level design was well done, nothing outstayed it's welcome. Everything was clearly laid out so I knew how each mechanic worked. I would have preferred the enemy projectiles to be a different colour than my own, but that's a small thing. Well done.

Just Call Your Mom by willjardine 2021-04-27T14:02:22Z

Great art and funny concept. Really like the environments. Also find the voice over in the title screen very stupid and amusing.

They Know We Know by gregoire_d 2021-04-27T13:07:40Z

That was perfect.

Really clever use of a small environment, very inspiring format of game. Amazing detail in all the items, definitely a great use of the Unreal engine. Voice over work was fantastic too, really paid off putting the extra effort in. I like how the game guided you through it and by the end you knew your way around the office.

Hope you are all pleased with the work.

πŸ”₯ Magma Eater πŸ”₯ by landosilva 2021-05-14T20:52:00Z

Funny little magma eater. Really cool artwork and the controls felt very responsive and it was fun to chomp the magma.

Bulldozer By The Sea by eldogg 2021-04-27T15:17:40Z

@devmerlin thanks. Yes we weren't sure to go tank or directional controls, maybe in future we can offer a choice of the two, it's like inverted controls in FPS.

I think that's the sound of raising the ground being stuck, maybe something to do with it being bound to the shift key and that not releasing properly. Thanks for reporting it.

Super Mole Bro by simon.parzer 2021-04-28T21:43:12Z

The graphics are great, the digging mechanic is fun too. It's a bit hard at first when you get stuck and have to tab yourself to death, but figuring out paths through is fun.

Life Pit by VaizAragorn 2021-04-27T11:50:56Z

Really enjoy how bonkers/crazy this is. The controls make it fun to move the monster creature around - the music is cool as well.

Altum Altum by Maxwell3000 2021-04-27T11:14:32Z

Really nice mechanic, like how you had considered putting limits in to make sure players knew that puzzles didn't need that many moves to complete. Music is very atmospheric and the art is like a lost Atlantis.

Turn of the Tide by Polyethyleneglykol 2021-05-02T10:15:55Z

Really cool atmosphere in this game created by the music and artwork and an interesting AI system. It's lots of work making an RTS, especially in a jam and you had lots of systems well implemented, so well done. Don't know if there was an easier way to find your troops again once you had zoomed out, but apart from that small bit the experience was very inviting to new players. Great job.

What do cats dream of ? by Duck Reaction 2021-05-02T10:26:10Z

Fantastic interactive animations, really felt like the cats had personality and weren't playing pre-made animations - the eyes reacting to what the player does is great. Nice polished feel, imagine if mini-games in big titles had this much humour and creativity in them. Great job.

BTW saw you made "Save the Fish", which was an inspiration for the "funny" looking fish in our game.

ONI by Daniel Whittaker 2021-04-28T21:27:38Z

This easily gets full marks from me for mood, really well done, the atmosphere created with the minimal elements used is fantastic. Great job on the audio and use of lighting and portals to create a small but deep feeling world.

Mycelisation by bereg 2021-04-27T11:34:58Z

Graphics are great and the intro music is pumping! I played on Linux and it seemed to work, but maybe some of the UI elements were in the wrong place as the progress meter seemed to be in the middle of the screen. Cool concept, very polished feel.

2021-04-27-12:27:21.jpg

Mycelisation by bereg 2021-04-27T14:25:17Z

@bereg I have a hidpi screen 2880x1620 - but it's in a dual monitor mode using nvidia drivers on Linux so who knows what's going on, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Snake in a Cave by Andrew Hoyer 2021-05-14T20:25:42Z

Very neat game and cool background track! Felt like a lonely snake munching through a cave in the old the west.

PIBE by Mog13 2021-05-14T20:31:58Z

Depressed puffer fish was very funny.

Deep Way To Basement by Usenrame 2021-04-27T14:57:24Z

I like the simple concept, it's easy to play and understand what you have to do. Hope that dog gets his food.

Slicky Finger by Omaewander 2021-04-27T14:46:59Z

This is gross - I like it. Really cool finger articulation, would be cool to have some bits where we could just watch the finger squirm.

Granny Goes Deep by universeflow 2021-04-28T21:15:14Z

Real cool use of bloom and blur. Nice to hear some voice acting, and it the sound overall was very high quality. I got a bit confused about when I had to press space bar at the beginning, I thought it may have to be done just before landing, but after playing for a bit I realised it could be pressed anywhere in the fall, but that's just a player communication thing. Fun arcade action. Well done team.

Archeomoleist by aniur 2021-04-27T14:42:14Z

Very nice feel to this game, all the components fit well together. Took me a while to figure I could scroll the screen by moving my mouse to the bottom. A nice mechanic and I like how the UI looks and updates when the player picks up items.

Canyoneer by Kieron Woodhouse 2021-04-27T15:07:03Z

Really nice game. The use of the rope mechanic was done really well and was really fun to slide down and swing off it. The use of the noise filter in the graphics is another cool feature that both made it look more interesting and helped with the video cam aesthetic.

Space Cave by Timo Gass 2021-05-02T12:30:28Z

Great 3D compo entry. The centralised UI is a great choice, keeps you focused. The Firing rate could be increased as it feels a little frustating and the SFX need maybe variation in the playback rate so the pitch changes and they seem less repetitive. But overall a fun little game. The lighting effects of the bullets are also well done. Cool devlog btw.

LD49 — Unstable

Firestarter by pndaa 2021-10-10T17:13:40Z

Interesting mechanic and quite funny that the fire engine burns trees. The controls felt good, looked like the whole game took place on top of grass block in minecraft ;) - It was fun and quick!

Chickie Catchers by DDRKirbyISQ 2021-10-07T17:56:32Z

Wow best butt wiggling and parachuting of the jam.

Really well thought out game with nice simple mechanics. I did single player and it was very fun.

The animation and colors really fit in with the characters and it all sort of makes sense in the context and you can imagine the story of what's going on.

Great job.

Dungeonball 2 by Gurbx 2021-10-05T20:51:07Z

This is a cool little game. I liked the spikey ball enemy which was an obstacle that embraced the mechanics of the game well.

Unstable escape by Tory 2021-10-05T20:37:38Z

This is beautiful and fun to play, with really nice simple, clear mechanics.

But, Lol I pressed ctrl+w to crawl and it closed the webpage (on chrome ctrl+w closes a tab), maybe rebind ctrl to something else like shift for the web version? Really cool entry though.

Weasel Words by eldogg 2021-10-05T07:53:47Z

@noctiphobia Have enabled mood ratings - thanks for pointing it out! My mind was fried when I published, normally we make lighthearted games so I default unchecked mood.

Weasel Words by eldogg 2021-10-07T18:21:45Z

@fre yes the speech engine is really cool and inspired lots of the game.

The Text to speech is SAM, from Commodore C64 - a javascript port available to try in your browser [here](https://discordier.github.io/sam/)

Weasel Words by eldogg 2021-10-10T19:01:09Z

@cheeks thanks for playing! Yes our major game design regret is not putting a painting at the beginning so you know you can get XP off them.

Stable Dynamics Inc. by OttoDan 2021-10-08T08:30:50Z

Wow this is great and what a tutorial/intro. It made it very clear what was going on and also was fun to fly through the scenes. The audio is great too, the TTS works in the setting. Also things like a see through play body so you can see the feet are nice touches. Feels very polished and cohesive.

Tipsy by Trusty 2021-10-10T19:06:14Z

Really funny character and environment. The texting in the tutorial really set the mood.

LCD DREAM ESCALATOR by Hydezeke 2021-10-09T16:30:53Z

It's an instant classic. Just pure immersion from the get go. The music is wild, the graphics are wild, the game design is wild - yet it all makes perfect sense.

The Stone Giant by UntilDawn 2021-10-05T19:28:28Z

I like when the music changed, and the art was very peaceful (I know he is attacking lol).

I found it hard at the beginning, maybe starting off without a full giant and no balls firing at you so you can learn the mechanics? IDK - it was cool to see how modular the system was.

Tanks 'n robots by Douwe_Ravers 2021-10-09T10:46:43Z

This is cool! Love the movie intros, especially the ending as it tied the game off nicely with the red->green transition, made it feel complete.

Compo too? That's crazy. Yes the controls could be a little tighter, and clearer where projectiles land etc. instead of raycast bullets, but it was still really fun and clear what to do. I liked the tutorial mapped to right mouse button and the layout of the level, with it directing players to the base (which was also shown in the intro, so that made me recognize it). The difficulty was at the right level as I was able to complete it without feeling frustrated or bored.

Great job.

Unstable Ground by BuzzyBee 2021-10-10T19:07:41Z

Really like the music, it was a bop. Quite a difficulty spike on the third level, but very quick to restart again. I played on Linux under WINE and the game worked perfectly.

Mt. Deep Space by Kimberly 2021-10-07T18:10:53Z

Lol this is very funny. The music is absolutely banging. Love the transition when it kicks in feels good. Them falling out and having to catch them is very funny too. Good job.

Grabanakki by Saturnyoshi 2021-10-10T18:27:39Z

Woah what a cool mechanic. Really like how simple but complex destroying a level to defeat enemies could be. Really inspiring.

The Builders by Dante2001 2021-10-09T17:37:53Z

Hehe this is cool. The giant sign did make me laugh. But it was really cool how much the environment would instantly change, really made you not know what to expect next.

Failing 4 You by Plutonium Powered 2021-10-10T18:22:06Z

Cool music and graphics. The AI following mechanic is very interesting too. The platforming was a little tricky but the atmosphere kept me going forward.

Deathrail by Hotowlgirls 2021-10-06T14:02:22Z

Nice line art graphics, the clean aesthetic grabbed my attention.

Funky little tune too!

Unstable Magic by DrSmey 2021-10-05T21:05:01Z

Really nice colors and cute pixels. The witch's wand did feel like it was out of control.

Unstable: Lilly's Revenge by PenguinMunch 2021-10-09T16:50:57Z

This game is __good__

Love the style and how quick and simple it is to get into.

*spoiler* - The horse coming out of the stable was very funny - my favourite game ending of the jam so far.

Thank you for this, and I hope the dog is enjoying lots of wet food with the horse.

BALANCING ACT by anchorlight 2021-10-09T16:45:52Z

Soundtrack is really cool in this game and I like the sprite work. Elevator transitions looked amazing as well. Well done to the team.

Morning After by Martta 2021-10-10T17:30:14Z

The devs definitely know what hangovers are like.

Really cool graphics, and the voiceover was a nice touch too. I like how small the game world was, but how detailed it was inside.

Good job :)

Psycho-unstable Journey by KenForest 2021-10-11T20:02:33Z

Wow this is really inspiring. You use of color, textures and lighting is amazing, the highway looked truly beautiful, especially the lightning making the sky glow.

The interactions were really fun and the game design made it clear where you had to go next.

Fantastic. Thanks for making this trip!

Eldritch Horse by Knipsch 2021-10-06T10:27:34Z

Funny topical intro text, a perfect amount of context for the game.

The artwork is really serene in this game, the colors work well with the backgrounds. Also the filter that happens as you get more mutated works well as the garish colors contrast so well.

Great percussion sounds in the soundtrack and when hitting objects.

Island Merchant by Bruno Molteni 2021-10-05T20:13:36Z

Really responsive feeling controls. I think the only thing you may want to add is to hold space to grab boxes as I was tapping it, but that's a very small suggestion. The graphics are nice and bright and create a fun sea faring atmosphere.

Hardwork Simulator by cabjhegas 2021-10-06T16:19:38Z

Fantastic idea and execution, using all the right elements that make it feel whole. The familiarity of the word editor and the humour of the stick men is top quality. Great!

LIFE|DEATH by Sockenpuppe 2021-10-10T18:14:05Z

The graphics are great, I like the colours of the ghosts.

The game is quite challenging! But it has a cool atmosphere.

Losing the Signal by ByYiro 2021-10-08T08:49:10Z

Haha this is brutally difficult for what seems to be quite a moody game. As others have said, and my main game jam advice, is to make your game much easier as when you're making it you are constantly playing it so are very used to the controls and know where to go, whilst others have no idea, also completing a game is much more satisfying than failing it.

Anyway, the sounds and graphics are very cute. And the atmosphere is really cool, very sombre. Good job.

Scootles by Surfa 2021-10-05T19:15:10Z

Having driven a mobility scooter I can say this game is too realistic!

But in all seriousness, it's very satisfying to hit products and see all the numbers pop up, so the "reverse game" scenario sounds quite fun. I think the scooter could have done with a tighter turning circle and higher friction but I had lots of fun driving around checking my mirrors.

UNSTAckaBLE by Epiphaner 2021-10-09T16:38:37Z

This is a very cool little game. Simple easy-to-understand concept that is well executed. Good job.

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Garbage Collector Simulator by wdebowicz 2022-04-21T15:46:10Z

Really nicely put together with responsive controls on this and very clear instructions in the UI. I liked that you had to just go to the toilet without any privacy/phil watching.

Decontamination by KenForest 2022-04-21T15:38:02Z

Hey I really like this game. The atmosphere is really eerie and lonely (except for your goose). I like the premise and the tools that you have to clean up the environment. The artwork looks great too, I really like your psx style, especially the trees and foliage, they look really nice. I like the flashlight being slightly slower than the camera it makes it feel more natural. Great job!

ENDURACE - Drift Or Die by Phillip Scott 2022-04-08T11:07:54Z

This was cool! Like Daytona, but more violent. I liked how many cars were on the track, really felt chaotic and fun.

Male Pattern Boldness by Choo 2022-04-21T15:55:42Z

This guy is very good looking.

Enjoyed this, really liked the audio at the end of the level where the main theme resolves itself, its very nice for the heart to feel.

Good job with this, in a few years I'll be grabbing an alley cat before my job interview too.

Love, wings & flamethrowers by torte478 2022-04-06T21:22:49Z

Wow really hooked playing this one to find out what happened in the story. Enjoyed the pacing of the levels and the use of the mechanics. The animations were very clear in explaining what was happening in the game. The ending was tough (emotionally). Love it!
