Neat game. For some reason this showed up while I was trying to find LD39 games though.

Neat game. For some reason this showed up while I was trying to find LD39 games though.
cool game, very on theme. I only played until level 5, more variation in gameplay would have bee nice. great work overall. thanks.
Great game! The panel text was pretty funny and I enjoyed the descriptions of stuff I picked up before tossing it into the engine.
If I had a complaint it would be that it's quite easy, I'm actually not sure you can lose. But that may not be the point as it was still quite enjoyable to get to the end of the game anyway. Good job!
Game was pretty fun, although I just restarted the game a bunch to get almost infinite power. It was kinda funny though. The platformer controls felt nice although I think it was too easy to hit the spikes sometimes. Good job ππ
I could really feel the G's
That was a fantastic review @pkenny. Highlighting the greatness but also the issues with our game at the same time. I only wish my reviews were as good as yours
The game crashed while we were falling asleep during the space story, which feels weirdly appropriate. If you're going to give us story options as the main premise of the game it'd be nice to at least let me decide that, actually, the astronaut DID spend seven years alone in that spaceship. She went mad, she started talking to a volleyball, these are the sacrifices we make for science my child. Give these kids some aesops with some teeth, son.
I thought the puzzle mechanics were real cool. So cool in fact that I really couldn't figure out how to do the lift part immediately after the first drill. Sorry! I couldn't figure it out
This game has a good graphical style and nice audio, but the puzzle is kind of obtuse and defending your station thing is a little tricky (not really viable to do both at once, so you're stuck babysitting all night). Not clear why the level is so large when you don't appear to use the rest of it? The game is mostly solid but I think you might be a little too close and familiar with what you expect the player should know to do, more playtesting might have smoothed out the player experience and learning curve.
Game was fun, not sure why a ninja is beating up random animals but it was pretty funny anyway. Sound effects were nice (Most games on here don't seem to put any sound in at all). Good job ππ
I wasn't totally sure what to do. I understood the turn based movement but as soon as I attacked someone it seemed like I was locked there until one of us died. I also wasn't sure what exactly happened on nightfall. Was I supposed to go back? I could see the idea you were going for though, and given a bit more time I'm guessing it would be pretty solid.
ππ HEY SNOWBOARDERS ππ
This game was K I C K I N G _ R A D!!!
I loved the mechanics. Unfortunately I died to an enemy as he spawned on top of me ( U N R A D )
I really love the art and the theme you had going here. Reminds me of Worlds Adrift almost. The teleport mechanic was very fun to use and I really love being able to pilot vehicles in 2D platformer type games.
I wasn't too sure where to go after a while since every group of islands all had a few crystals on it and nothing else. Given a bit more time I imagine you could end up with quite an interesting game. Good job
Wizardly secret #1 unlocked, go left to walk off the world. Secret #2, infinite zoom out to see the whole world. Secret #3, conquer mushrooms by standing still on top and waiting to bounce-clip through the roof. You are now an arch-wizard master and slayer of sticky keys prompts, tag ur top five wizard-chums or be cursed 2 respawn at the start of the jumping puzzle bit. Get one wizard chum clapback and ur a :snowboarder:, 3 back and ur a primo wizard, 5 back and ur'll be sued by jk rowling 4 too much dank wizardry!!
Fun game! I had some issues in one of the runs where I kind of didn't get any extra cars, but I realize that almost didn't matter as the main point was to make it to the next checkpoint to get your power back. The game looked and sounded great but was a little difficult to progress. With a bit of balancing I'd say this could be a pretty solid game, seems like it would work well on mobile and I noticed you put out an android build.
Game was fun, didn't like the music that much but the graphics were pretty good. :snowboarder:
The weblink doesn't work! :(
Game was cool. Seemed pretty slow to start but it had quite a bit of content to it
Game was pretty hard until I found out I could dash forever. I became a god once I found out I could do that. Also the music stopped at some point and started spitting out static noise instead. That kind of sucked but otherwise the game was pretty solid
Collision with walls were pretty wonky. Dying in one hit kinda sucks especially considering how hard it is to avoid being hit. Music was nice though.
Pretty neat. I wish it was longer, I was looking forward to the final confrontation ππππππππ
I failed to evacuate in time and the emoji movie killed everyone
I couldn't quite figure out how to get past what I think was the last door. Otherwise it was a fun and nice looking game
:snowboarder:VICTORY!:snowboarder:
There were times were it was stressful because the enemies weren't dropping energy and it seemed like the energy bar wouldn't complete deplete anyway.
The enemies would sometimes escape into the walls where I couldn't kill them. and the hitbox of the blue enemies was much too large to get multiple hits in before they could hit me.
Nice game!
Great game. Followed the theme pretty well. The jumping and block pushing felt good. The only thing I'd say is maybe I don't quite get the ending. It was just a black screen with some transmission text that went by real quick (That was probably the point). Good job!
Game was simple. Not quite sure what it had to do with the power theme but was fun to play anyway
Game seems like it could be really neat if it's completed, but the lack of feedback on the arrows as well as how precise it seems you need to hit the arrows really sets it back right now.
Game was pretty great. Had some issues on medium difficulty cause it was hard to figure the beat out. But it looked great and the dancing robot was hilarious.
Only issue I have with the game is it pretty much has nothing to do with running out of power.
Game was pretty neat, liked the hoover aspect, but felt that the time given for each level was pretty tight.
Really liked the graphics, huge fan of trains, and thought it worked really well with the music. Nice Job!
Interesting game. I wasn't quite sure how to use the sound sensor to help me out other than hear that there was damage coming soon. But it appeared as though I couldn't avoid it. I might not be that good either :P.
Wasn't sure what team I was actually supposed to be a part of. I assumed it was the blue team because I started there but they threw stuff at me so I wasn't 100% sure.
Fantastic idea. I love stuff like this. Most of those games are actually pretty good despite your use of the theme haha. Good job!
tight gameplay! I kind of wish there was some kind of end-state. I didn't see the theme in the gameplay, but whatever. Still cool.
It was a little weird how most of the options were the same choice
Neat little game. I didn't quite get the point in buying more sheep though, since it wasn't required to progress or anything. I enjoyed the pixel art though, it looks very nice.
π΅οΈββοΈMy logic was too much for this gameπ΅οΈββοΈ
Finally a game where i can be an ever expanding white house. Game was neat, had no clue what to do at the beginning though since it never explained how to create buildings to get money.
Fantastic game! Looks and sounds great. I love the theme idea, pretty damn funny. The beat is solid and I loved my (admittedly brief) time with it. Good job!
Haha thanks @pkenny. We always love to see a fan, and it seems like you know where we wanna take this in the future. Sorry about the crash. We surprisingly never had that happen, but we appreciate that you still managed to finish the game regardless :D
Thanks @duzzondrums! Means a lot coming from one of the Crawl developers. I love that game.
I hope she feels better
Interesting game. My strategy was keep buying stuff until I got bored of buying stuff and one shotting everything until they got too tough. Then going for the credit card to clear the penalties. Pretty funny. The idea worked well.
Fantastic use of the theme idea. The game looks and plays great. It get's very tricky to maneuver that thing when you're holding them all up. I didn't realize till halfway through I didn't need to pick them all up to progress. Sorry blue dudes.
My only hiccup was using 2 monitors, the mouse would sometimes come off the screen and I could control the chopper anymore D:. But otherwise a solid game. Good job !
Neat game! I ended up dumping everyone to get resources every turn. but I'm not sure if that was the best way to do it since I guess that ended up being bad. Either way it was still fun to play. Good job!
Very good ideaπ§πΏββοΈ
It was letting me deliver the "goods" to the station I picked them up from. Which let me get the πBESTπWEAPONπ immediately. The level 100 space pirates were too fast, and maybe too furious
Pretty funny idea for the theme. The art looked great and it played pretty well. Good job!
Game was awesome, I ended up shooting those damn camera fans cause it was easier. Didn't get very far though. Good job :D
Cool game I died to a car even though I still had some plus signs left. π§ββοΈ
Stuff happened too slow. Also I'm pretty sure the buttons worked like 10 percent of the time π§πΏββοΈ
Very fun game! It got a bit sparse near the end I had to go back to get some more runes to make the spells required for the last few dudes. But otherwise pretty solid.
(PS: you don't actually get to know your ratings until the end. The number you see is actually the total number of votes)
I quickly learned that the best way to move around was to completely avoid the A and D key. and to turn using only the mouse. I best the game, but when I jumped into the yellow thing left by the spinning orb it took me back to the second level. I need closure, please DM me the ending.
Tough game! I had issues where my cursor would turn white for some reason. I originally though I was just supposed to color match but I guess the planets might have run out of resources?
I am king pirate, great job. Fun to play!
I'll never forget that music. π§ββοΈ
πI wish I could kiss that grim reaperπ
Got about 2500. The game ended only cause I wanted to see if I could lose by multiplying :P. Solid game though, good job!
I dropped my sword and I couldn't get it back. Game looks pretty nice though.
Very neat game, little unsure how it fits the theme but it was still fun. I had some issues where it seemingly would not pick up some of my keys. Got a bit frustrating at points. I also didn't have any sound or music despite the robot dude mentioning it.
I can see this being pretty solid with a bit more time though, good job.
The controls in this felt great. It was real fun to actually move the chopper around and pick stuff up. Very solid and on theme. Good job!
Very hard game. I ended up running out of food before anyone adopted any cats though. Not sure what I could have done differently.
Solid game! The art and animations look great and it felt pretty good to play. Only wish there was a bit more to it. This could be so much more with a bit more content added. Good job!
Game was pretty neat, but it probably would've played a lot better if I could've used the number keys. πππ
Pretty fun little game. I sure enjoyed the hell out of those flowers. Doing some sick jumps off that mountain. Not really sure how it all tied into the theme but I'll drive a bee car off a mountain any day
Interesting idea. I always fired off most of my hp to move around fast.
That sure was weird, but I learned so much.
Graphics were top tier. Took us a while to figure out that our map was also our inventory space, but once we got that it made things very interesting trying to figure out where to store the words. Really interesting use of the theme!
@liven I can't believe we went through the whole weekend and didn't think of that. So simple. Maybe next time!
@wavertron Sorry it was a bit hard! The random element can make the game much easier or much harder depending on which powerups you get. And I agree the music is great! But since we didn't make it we didn't want to be rated on it.
@arch We're glad to be back! And also that you enjoyed the game. It's always great to see a fan :D. Trying to balance this one was hard to get it to feel just right due to how we decided to spawn powerups. But we did indeed have a good time trying to figure it out.
@pkenney Haha wow, thanks man! I do have to agree with you that we might have made it a bit 'too' difficult. Though I'm glad you enjoyed it either way. It always feels real good when all the pieces come together even if a few things still turn out a bit buggy. If we could change anything now it would be to make it obvious when you can hit that wizard. Maybe some kind of particle effect to show he's invulnerable?
We always appreciate your review. Especially that you managed to power through and make a 20 minute gameplay video for us. You definitely earned that meltdown
BTW, watching that video now. Once you've figured out the dash you become a real pro ;D.
Edit: Oh man that ending.
@11tomi12 @kmce When the controls got stuck, were you playing on the browser version windowed? If you move your mouse out of the box then it won't track its movement anymore.
If so I'd suggest giving it a try in fullscreen. That should solve the issue.
@drums Glad you liked it. Could you tell us if you were playing on the browser in windowed mode. It's about the only thing we can think of that would cause the problem. Clicking outside of the box would lock up your controls until you click back into it but if that's not the case for you then maybe it was something else.
Super solid game @pkenney! The movement was interesting though hard to control sometimes. I did eventually get the hang of it. The game over screen did let me know about the ultimate secret move of eating the other blobs by surrounding them and that mechanic felt real good when you did it.
You're very much "Running out of space" with this one though. Very tough and hard to complete especially with the walls closing in ;D
Great job!
This is real fun to play when you get the hang of it. Though it's very difficult. I felt like I constantly died after tapping a ship close to a wall. It really got me to want to try harder though, So good job on making it difficult, but not too frustrating :P
The Blobs health bar didn't go down when I hit it (a few times at least, I'm not sure).
It looks great though, very funny too! :D
I like it! The art looks great, and it's a solid endless runner.
I like the Frostpunk inspiration. The audio queues and voicelines give it that feel very much.
It was a bit of a unique take. I initially didn't realize that I had to dig the shaft and then keep going. I was saving up enough to do it once cause I thought that was it haha. But once it went down one layer it all opened up :P.
Good job!
This is a tough one! I couldn't think of a reason not to blow all the fuel immediately and hope for more. But also it was quite difficult to pickup fuel unless I was already on the side it spawned. It fit the theme close enough and it looked pretty good.
Good job!
It was a bit frustrating to try and open doors that looked like doors but were walls and wasting a space bar. It would be nice to have some indication that you're hitting the enemies when you swing as well. It was hard to tell if I was actually doing anything
I wish I could hug that unicorn.
Animations were great, I really liked the art style.
That was great, our game is very similar to what you came up with. You should give it a try!
Awesome idea for a game. It was pretty tough, I just barely didn't make it. It was quite difficult to manage the doors as well as hit the water pumps but I can see it being possible if you manage it just right.
Good job!
I long for the cheese.
Nice and simple idea! It did get quite tough near the end I got stuck in the storage room a few times. Looked good and sounded nice though. Good job!
I enjoyed my time as a grapple man
good art style and music.
Simple idea, nice looking game. It was pretty funny having the sheep disappear right as I was holding it. Then I found out the secret strategy to hold the sheep in the sky so it can't be hit :P.
Good job!
I had fun messing around with it, I got an error when I tried to press the button with the box but I ended up just having fun with the wall mechanic. Music is a good touch too.
I'm unsure where the theme comes into play. The game looks great, but the walking speed is so slow I couldn't get anywhere.
Real fun game! I like the idea, and the art style really added to its humor. I didn't get too far, it took me a while to get a banana for one of the quests :/
Good mouth feel on some of these bad boys
Solid game, and a web export. By default that makes it great! ;D. But yeah the game is on theme real hard and it's pretty fun.
Good job
Game is really great. Would love to know where to find the other Tomb Robber games. Glad to see another team with an ongoing series.
the door opening sound killed me πππ great game
Was fun to make the first few jumps. Especially the ones where you're going real fast. The loop jump didn't work for me cause I got stuck going up it the first time. Not sure what this game has to do with the theme. But good job either way!
It was a bit hard to move around, I got stuck on walls a bunch and a few times I walked into a new room and it didn't load it, causing me to have to restart :(.
I like the idea you had though. Shmanos sure is a real hero ;)
Great functioning game. I knocked points off for fun because it felt slow. I both liked and didn't like the drone physics, it was neat and I wouldn't take it out but the scrap was a little too fast and after several minutes of playing I didn't manage to get much progress which didn't feel good. Good job
Oh man, it is so hard to get multiple guys out. I wasn't sure what most of those door rooms were for, but I bet I could have used them to lure monsters in there. I couldn't ever do it and make it out but I think the idea was I was supposed to sacrifice someone in there so that it would be easier for everyone else ;).
Exploring was tense, had to take it slow so I don't run straight into one of those creeps, but it felt good to lead them off into a spot where it wouldn't bother you anymore.
I had a hard time controlling multiple at once, but again I think that was the whole point. I can see where the sacrifice theme plays in. Hitting that elevator button under pressure is brutal :P. Wish I could vote on your game this time around cause it was very good. I really like how you did the fog, I might take a look at your code to figure out how if you don't mind. It looked very good and added much to the atmosphere.
Good job!
Super satisfying bowling game! Didn't think that was a genre that would come from this theme haha. The timings of the freeze frames / sound effects were perfect. Felt really good to land those strikes. Good job!
Ha! Glad you enjoyed yourself @pkenney. We'll be forever disgraced for forgetting about MELTDOWN. The game is probably tuned a bit too difficult for sure. Will definitely take some of the points you made into account if we decide to release an updated version after the fact. I'm kind of leaning towards that cause I really like what we ended up with here.
We definitely appreciate the time you put in! I do hope we didn't put you through hell to finish it ;D
Thanks for the reviews everyone! Glad you're enjoying it. @avon the mystery box sometimes contains up to 3 free upgrades (potentially another mystery box). So like the other upgrades it's a risk!
Hey thanks @madjackmcmad, I'm a big fan of your games so it means a lot to me :D
Some kind of right click ability came up while we were brainstorming but it ultimately didn't make it in, but I definitely hear you. These kinds of bullet-hell rogue likes usually have some kind of mobility skill or a dodge
Loved having an army of boys at my command. I did not manage to find the last secret ingredient to create the most powerful boy (Please DM me)
Desktop Screenshot 2019.05.03 - 22.56.21.11.png Get on my level scrubs. Fun game!
Solid entry pkenny! I see that you had the train idea too haha. I had a good time getting going full speed, though I didn't realize at first that's what I was supposed to do (I thought the coal was limited!). Squashing bugs with a shovel felt satisfying. It had weight being it. And the art is so charming. Having faces on everything is great.
The ending was a pretty good joke too ;D. Good job!.
Super dope game. I want to marry your vampire daughter.
Very solid survival game. I made it all the way to the end but everything I did did no damage to the last boss. So I wasn't sure how to progress there. The spells all felt pretty good and looked great though. Good job!
I couldn't quite figure out the refresh rate problem it seems. I could get the throw to work a few times but really struggled for the most part. It was pretty fun though! And the art is pretty funny. Good work!
I'm not gonna lie, I didn't really know what I was doing but I still ended up winning. I didn't quite get why some of my attacks disappeared but the screen effects were a nice touch
I lost when I tried to break progression and let it build up to the next level, when I bought my building I ended up dying. Very pretty game.
I love the idea / concept. And I really appreciate a good web game (Not having to download is great!). However I had some issues trying to move. It would prompt me on every button press, including if I was just trying to move. I'm not sure if this is intended or if it's a bug, but it did take me forever to move around.
Maybe I'm missing something? Either way it looks good, and I'm sure it would play good if I could figure out what's going on :P
I like the concept. Very relaxing!
Awesome game. Really liked the art and the different enemy trees you could go through. I eventually got so strong I could beat em all before they broke out of the seal. It was real fun figuring out what things might get summoned by sacrificing a stapler :D
It was strangely creepy to see robots walking slowly in from the distance. It got pretty nuts after a while but I figured the best way to hold out was to stay up on that hill. Most of them couldn't get up and I could hop off and hit them all with a grenade in the end.
It was pretty fun. I enjoyed the bullet hit effects and could tell a lot of extra attention was payed to those quality of life additions. I stopped around wave 7 or so. Good job!
The pixel art was fantastic. It was a little slow to start and I did notice an issue with the shots not lining up with the mouse exactly. But otherwise I enjoyed it. Good job!
It was a little hard to tell how much money was waiting for me in the basement
love the apple. Freedom secured on all three levels.
It was hard to look at the numbers while everything was moving, more contrast would help. I also wish the projectile was a little slower and easier to see. Very good for you first time using Game maker.
Couldn't make it past the second level but it was pretty satisfying to land all the jumps when I did. Whoo boy it's a tough one
I became so powerful that I managed to tank the boss. I would have loved more enemy variety to test out my new muscles
I had a hard time figuring out what to do. I spent about 15 minutes trying to figure out how to plant stuff and make it grow but I still couldn't. I wasn't sure how to unlock new continents either.
Sorry! I wish I could figure it out.
The art style is very distinctive. I had a hard time timing attacks so I was without enough health to buy stuff frequently but the theme is definitely in there for sure. I also got lost quite a few times, but otherwise I still enjoyed it. Good job!
We were away this weekend so we didn't get the chance to work on anything, but I wanted to pop in and see how you did.
It always impresses me how much you're able to put out from scratch and this one is no exception. Even though you said it was unfinished I still could feel how tuned the movement was and the challenge of picking up resources and dropping them on the move felt real good to perform. The pixel art you ended up with looks great, I liked the Hulk the most.
The first time I lost trying to figure out what to do at first but it only took me that one try before I understood. Once I pumped out my first unit it seemed to just completely take out the other side? I wasn't sure cause when I flew over there was just the big bad left. I don't think I downloaded the ULTRA HARD mode if I had to guess
There's a kind of hole for this genre of game that I've only ever seen here and in Kingdom like the previous poster mentioned. It would be really neat to see something like this fleshed out into a full experience.
Hey man, solid entry for your first time in 3D. The models you managed to put out in just a weekend are fantastic. You even have some animations in there with the punching and everything.
As for the game itself it was also real fun. The controls with the mouse was an interesting choice, I'm not sure how much easier (or harder maybe?) it would have been with just key presses, but the mouse lets you aim a bit more precisely. I think you got the speed and turning rates down perfectly. I liked how there was a little freeze every time you hit a guy. It added a bit more impact to the punching that's for sure. As always your compo entry was great even as you try some new concepts like 3D.
Wish I could say we had an entry for you to try this time but with the social distancing guidelines in place we decided to sit this one out again. We could have worked entirely online but we have much more fun when we get to do it all in person, not to mention I feel like our entry wouldn't be as solid. Until next time hopefully!
Ha! Glad you enjoyed it @pkenney. We were a bit behind on polishing/balance near the end of the day Monday so it was a toss up whether or not we made the game too hard/too easy, but we figured the 3 orbs let people kind of choose their own difficulty so to speak. The bear maze is my favorite personally only because it actually made me get anxious when playing it, hearing those bears stomp around. The sound definitely went through walls too, that's something to look into in the future for sure!
Also jumping around on the trash is totally a valid strategy! The walls maybe not so much (if we were able to smooth them enough haha). If we had more time I think we'd spend it maybe adding some hit registry on the enemies, make em flash red or something and knock them back a bit more. That and a few other odds and ends but you know the struggle ;).
Thanks for the reviews everyone!
Adding Coyote time to non-jumping related things is a next level idea. Will definitely be trying this in the future
Thanks for the review @peachtreeoath :). They're supposed to be trashbags but yeah we made em kind of light so they could be tossed around. And yes we've used the Silver Surfer in every game so far. It's just too funny not to include at this point. It's always nice to see people who've recognized our past entries
This game is perfect.
This one took me a bit to figure out. I love it, a simple premise but the precise movements to pull it off felt so good. Once I figured out that I shouldn't just be drilling to the bottom it got a bit easier, mostly trying to focus on whatever block was highest was the way to go. I couldn't keep up with how fast the levels start ramping up and so here's my best score:
Capture.PNG
I'm always surprised at how much you get done solo in just 2 days and how good the game feels to play. The sound effects and art very reminiscent of old Gameboy games. The initial starting game tutorial by getting you to figure it out is fantastic. I'm a big fan of physics based mechanics and I think you got it down here perfectly. How the jackhammer always tries to bounce towards you and not just bounce randomly really lets you master it eventually.
As always, another great entry. Can't wait for the next :)
Pretty fun game. I liked being able to pick different upgrades after each floor. Got pretty hard after the first few levels but I can definitely see build diversity with this game. Would be cool if there were even more choices like turn speed or increased aim angles, etc.
Good job
Game looks good. It was a bit confusing to play. I'm not sure when I should be going deeper so I just kind of did it as soon as I could. Definitely would be even better with some sound effects. But I know the struggle! :p. Good job!
Tough game! I didn't realize I could use the mouse until after I was done and re-read the entry. I definitely suggest putting controls in the game, like a quick tutorial level. It definitely helps from what we've found in the past!
Other than that it was a very interesting concept. Took me quite some time to get the timing right on some of the puzzles. I was able to eventually jump out of bounds I think and it wouldn't reset me after that haha. I enjoyed it for sure. Good job!
This was awesome. Had a great time playing with my controller too. The art was fantastic, the music and sounds really added to the atmosphere and the game mechanics felt really good to play. Using weight as a mechanic to help to descend and it becoming a problem on your way back out was a real solid idea. Exploring side rooms was fun, and tossing the anchor onto enemies was a good time.
I had a bit of trouble trying to make sure I didn't accidentally pick up my gems on the way out while tossing rocks off, but other than that I had no real issues with the game.
I'm gonna be showing this one around for sure. Great job!
Game felt real solid to play. Once I saw there was a leaderboard I was in full reckless mode. Still only managed to hit 150 seconds haha. Movement felt nice and hitting those jetstreams was fun. I think you guys nailed the balancing on your health since I made it to the end with like 1 hit remaining and I was going pretty fast.
The dialogue was pretty funny, although it was a bit difficult to read it since I was focusing on going fast ;D. That's just me though. I can see this game being a pretty chill experience if you're taking it slow.
Good job!
Tried the bard the first and oh man was it hard. I didn't realize that was basically hard mode haha. Played as the warrior next and it went a lot smoother. Was fun, Good job!
I loved the take on the theme and the unsettling CRT effects alongside the sounds. The political commentary in it was spot on too. Only I can't say I agree with it now that I'm an Amazonbar lizard robot now ;D.
Pretty cool game, good job!
Really solid game. Played it all the way through even though some parts held me back quite a while :p. It was a very kinetic feeling game if that makes any sense. It was satisfying to pull off the perfect jumps and keeping your momentum throughout was awesome.
Great job!
Great game! Art was pretty nice. I thought the game over screen was pretty funny, was not expecting that at all. Good job!
I had a bit of a hard time reading some of the text, I did like the style of the font I just have to squint hard sometimes.
I managed to figure out how to get out of the first room but couldn't figure out how to get further than that. I liked the art and music though. It set the tone of the game pretty well.
I'm just no good at puzzle games. I'm guessing other people will be able to figure it out though. Good job!
fun idea! liked taking pictures of random stuff.
Tough game! But fun. Good job!
Managed to get to 56 total. Very solid take on the theme and mechanics to match. Once it was too dark to see everything at once it very much felt like I was getting deeper.
Nice ambient soundtrack as well. Good job!
Cool take on the theme. I ended up achieving my hamburger heaven ending.
Was a pretty fun game to play. The sound effects were fantastic and it was mechanically interesting as well. Good job guys
Hey congratulations on the new baby! Maybe we'll be seeing some team projects coming down the pipe at some point ;)
Pretty impressed with what you ended up with. On theme 100% and pretty challenging at first. I had eventually got the groove down and finished it.
Good job as always! And good luck with the baby :)
Absolutely solid entry. Probably the best one I've played so far. The UI was very easy to read and the simple mechanics made it really easy to pick up. Fantastic work!
Thanks for the reviews so far everyone :).
@peachtreeoath that's what we like to see, absolute chaos at the end ;)
@0x746564 Yes they were. The Ashlands tileset here: https://finalbossblues.itch.io/ashlands-tileset
I like the take on the theme with this one, it's unfortunate the Unity bug probably made it a bit more difficult to play than you had intended but it does match the slow inevitable end haha.
Still despite that I really enjoyed this. It was a nice chill game to play after such a busy weekend. The music was top notch and matching it to the action of the pendulum made it that much better.
It took me a while to finish all 3 challenges, the big loop was the hardest but after that the **Spoilers Ahead** Bonus Momentum mode was a cool touch afterwards. I was able to get it to big loop like 6 times in a row after that.
As always I enjoy what you end up making :). great job!
The facial animations were pretty funny. We enjoyed that part the most :)
The music choice was solid, really kept me going throughout the game. It's just a nice upbeat time. The looping worlds idea was neat. I was always interested in seeing what was in the next world.
Good job!
I really loved the music in this. It very much added to the mood, if you guys made that then great job! Still a great choice either way.
I was able to pretty much go forever. I would suggest the difficulty increase slowly overtime (while still giving you enough space to never be completely trapped). Still the visuals and audio alongside if it was very cool.
Good job!
Very unique game. I didn't realize I'd be managing the physics trajectory of the moon so it was pretty fun to try and bounce it away. I still haven't managed to do it yet but I'm still gonna keep trying at it :)
Good Job!
Very cute and fun. The "noooooo"'s were very good. I was sad we didn't get to see the monster arrival. Good job :)
Very nice art, the music was pretty calming too. My run kind of ended unexpectedly, a battle happened but as I clicked to confirm it just flashed instantly to a game over screen
I think you deserve a steak dinner for this one
I see we had similar inspirations for our games :).
Very solid entry. The level up screen had a lot of info which is a nice change in most Jam games. I thought there was no sound until I saw the sound bar in the level up screen which was defaulted to nothing so I thought that was a bit odd. It felt good to run around and hit a ton of enemies with each ability triggering. I think you've got a good base here for an endless mode if you wanted to try that. I've got an endless mode build ready for ours just because I'm curious if the scaling eventually outpaces the player.
Good job!
Very challenging horse controls!
I could only manage 2 pools. But it hooked me for a good long while attempting to do it haha. I love these kinds of physics games though, even though I'm pretty bad at them. The voice lines definitely added to the repeated crashing. I had a lot of fun with this. Good job :)
Very chill game. Visuals look great too. Great job!
Solid entry, really enjoyed my whole time though. Good job!
Had a good time watching my little circles blow up the zombies.
Very nice looking game! I didn't realize space bar could melee until after I finished. Should have fully read the description. Good job!
Give a man a goblin and he has a son.
Very interesting game. It was fun to learn the routes and mess with enemy pathfinding to avoid capture. Very solid entry, great job!
Hey thanks @100th-coin !
Always glad to see a fan. The gameplay video is great too. It really helps to see how people learn our games. I'm surprised you made it through on your first try. Good job :D
Haha hell yeah, thanks @pkenney. I kind of had a similar experience with one step from Eden. But we decided to take more from Mega man battle network and pause the game to queue up your moves.
Glad the UI worked with the keyboard. That was a surprise to me haha, I expected it was gonna be mouse only but I guess there's some hidden keyboard functionality baked in
Solid old arcadey vibes. Transforming into a boat and plane is pretty fun to lose the homing missiles/torpedoes. Fits the theme pretty loosely but I think you already pointed that out in your description haha. Still it's a fun time. I did have a hard time finding some of the delivery locations near the end but it was still fun zooming around all the same.
Good job!
I forgot that the game loops after 6 levels. I just kinda kept going trying to speedrun each course as fast as possible. It's pretty cool how fine tuned the controls can be just by moving the mouse around. It was fun to spin out I almost wish there were sick jumps to hit. The whole thing felt very kinetic. The car looks great too :)
Very solid game! I'm always impressed what you manage to get done in just 2 days solo. And with homemade sounds to boot.
I see we have a fan of sequels :)
Very cool, I really liked the take on the theme. Nice music to solve some ribbon puzzles too. You almost got me with that box behind the tree.
Also I liked the twist ending.
it's frog time, also amazingggggg
Having the platforms hang around after being destroyed was fun. Tried to jump on a few, but they were finnicky. Good game :)
Very atmospheric! Well done
Very solid entry! I liked the change to the classic snake game. 360 movement and being able to portal through yourself and enemies is a cool addition. Having a leaderboard setup is also great, really makes me try to break into it.
I'm definitely coming back to this later. Good job!
Pretty quick little game! I wasn't sure if the sharks did anything since they just kind of ran into me but my health never went down.
Looks very pretty and the music was nice. Good job!
2spoopy 4 me. The sound effects caught me off guard!
That was Bananas!
Neat Game love the damage sound.
ITS REAPING TIME
Very cool game. The unsettling atmosphere of a sub and the sonar panels make you really feel the tight spaces. I liked the subtle bits of storytelling you can get from even the names of each character.
Great job!
I'm a sucker for somber space games. The inventory screen space was an interesting take on the limited space theme and it definitely added a lot of difficulty in some of the scalpel cuts. The music and overall background mood of the game was sad but beautiful at the same time.
Great job!
Music was Bonetastic! I was a loser and died.
Great game, cool idea. Its Multifruit time!
I soft locked myself by jumping into the maze :(
Almost finished it though. Good job!
Its Spider Time!
Not the cheesecake!
Seems neat, hard to understand what was happening! Some tutorial or explanation screen would helped. :)
Very cool! I dropped the melee guys and they wrecked.
I had trouble following where the storm was, enjoyed my time platforming though!
I liked the time dilation giving you extra survival time. Flying close could be risky but give you a larger score. It could have just been the web build but it was very hard to actually see things coming and react to them, like maybe the frame rate was lower or maybe I'm just getting too old and can't react fast enough.
Very pretty and fun game. Good job!
Very impressive!
Seems cool! Couldn't figure out what to do.
Awesome game @pkenny! The physics felt very good, and it was fun to get knocked around while trying to drive by sword some skeletons.
Would rate you top marks for sure, but we didn't get a game in this time :(. Keep up the awesome work!
