Pretty fun little game. I sure enjoyed the hell out of those flowers. Doing some sick jumps off that mountain. Not really sure how it all tied into the theme but I'll drive a bee car off a mountain any day

The music is hilarious hahahhahahaha

There seems to be some sort of bug when the character is on the uphill, he sort of gets stuck in the ground and you have to wiggle him out using tall the buttons and the drift button.

Besides that, the game was fun, good job!

Enjoyed the hell out of some flowers, got stuck in the terrain, and drifted upside down all over the place. Wheeled bees, apparently, can fly, when given the right motivation.

A little lacking on theme tie-in, maybe, but this was awesome.

Cute, fun game, but the effects of the theme aren't really noticable. What are they? Also, the art is great, but the fact that there are invisible walls and an infinite abyss of nothingness on the map isn't great. Also, the game is sorta fun, but the hills are impossible to maneuver on because you get stuck all the time, and if you fly off the edge of the mountain sideways, you get stuck sideways. Other than that, cute! I REALLY wish you hadn't opted out of humor, because I would have really loved to give a good rating for that!

I could have done with a bit more explanation here. Even so, it was fun to drive a bee tank over a bunch of flowers for a little while.I don't know if there is a goal here or not, hit all the flowers and don't fall over, I guess? That works but I see little to no use of the theme.

Really cute game, the happy flowers caught my eye. The bee music - the bumbling bass and buzzing sounds are so funny! It's exactly what bees would listen to in a car, or in this case, what a bee car would play. I got flipped over flying off the hill, and so couldn't reach the flowers at the top.

I didn't really notice the theme in the game but I liked the bee car thing and the whole feel of it gave me a noby noby boy kind of feeling.

sorlok 2017-12-06 05:05

This game exposes everything I dislike about the theme..... because I had a blast playing it, despite it not really having much to do with the theme. I especially liked the need to "drift" with reversed controls when the bee flipped over, and I generally enjoyed that the bee couldn't really fly. No wonder honey bees are going extinct! Anyway, except for the theme, I gave it all 4+. Great job!

If Elon Musk were to release a beemobile in two weeks I'd break open my entire piggy bank now that I know how fun bee drift phyics can bee.

In game two, pollen nitros plz?

@sorlok: bee cool.

Hey there! I enjoy a good drive-around style game. This was pretty fun.

Improvements

- This didn't have anything to do with the theme. Part of the LD experience is to test your imagination and innovation by making a game under an unfamiliar context. I encourage that in the next you challenge yourself to meet that goal.

Done Well

- The music fits perfectly with the game. Nice! - The games graphics are simple, but charming. - The mechanics are fun. You did well with the physics.

Thank you everyone for the feedback! This game is the result of a list minute pivot, so when you bring up the theme I have to agree that it's a loose fit. The connection to the theme is that by collecting more and more flowers you ruin the landscape, which turns from a lovely green to a sad brown. However, the change is so subtle that it is hard to notice while you're focusing on the driving. So the lesson we've learned is that a better way to connect the theme is to represent it in the mechanics and not just the visuals.

I really enjoyed the flowers... maybe too much.

aviland 2017-12-07 03:28

Loved the bee music!

Fell upside down at one point and thought I'd have to start over, but it turns out that I can drift upside down

kingmatthew 2017-12-07 04:02

Good job! The music fits very well, probably because it sounds like a bee. I don't see how it fits with the theme, except for LOTS of flowers to enjoy.

blazen 2017-12-07 04:05

It was a great game, the graphics where really nice

squabbler 2017-12-07 04:23

Interesting, I really like the bee model - a lot. The driving mechanics were pretty good, especially drifting feeling. I don't understand how it hits the theme, and like others have said, you get stuck easily a lot. Maybe add a way to flip the bee back over instead of having to completely restart?

Also - 100% THANK YOU SO MUCH for naming your zip and folder the same as the game.

plepletier 2017-12-07 21:35

I like a lot run with the beeCar and fly over the hill eheheheh Good entry!!!

the-triumvirate 2017-12-07 21:39

The music and the stunts were the best part... But the game froze at 90%, so I couldn't reach 100%.

arturasd 2017-12-07 21:42

Overall game looked really nice. I enjoyed riding around the map and collecting the flowers. However, the theme was missing. Also, When playing I got stuck on the hill and could not move neither backwards nor forwards. But either way, cool entry!

elfcirynn 2017-12-07 22:13

I flipped my bee car over and drove around for half the game upside down. 7/10.

The walls to keep you falling off the map could have been closer to the edge, some flower petal sound effects might have been nice, and a sky box/some clouds. The driving was satisfying, I enjoyed hovering off the mountain, wish I understood more how it related to the theme? I really enjoyed the art style with the simple bee car and the drawn 2d flowers that followed the camera!

mikune 2017-12-12 01:33

Really nice game with cool graphics. :D The music fit really well. I had fun playing it.
