Interesting idea :)
Despite not having sound and with a buggy movement (the WASD controls failed from time to time), I reall y had fun playing this one. Good job!
Nice job, I really liked the concept and the graphics.
Very original concept, good job!
Nice job. This game has a really high level of engagement, and the music fits with the action so well.
I can't belive this is a jam game. Just amazing, fantastic job!
Added to my Itch.io collection. I really had fun playing the game, and even managed to win a Race :) I also love the fact that it's made in Rust with a custom engine, good job!
Simple but really nice graphics, good music and engaing gameplay.
So fun to play, and the theme is hilarious!
Good job, I just can't stop laughing!
I loved this concept, I think I'll keep playing this for some time :)
Very good game, great atmosphere!
Not really proud of it, but at least finally I did deliver something :)
Unfortunately I see there's an unnoticed problem with my CI build, so those links just have empty zips so far. Trying to sort it out atm.
Hi, thanks for your feedback!
Absolutely agree with both of you, I barely managed to spend 4-5 hour on this project, so there's a lot of room for improvement in some areas like physics and navmesh. As I'm finally going for the "Extra" category, I might have a further look at it.
Thank you again for your valuable input!
Btw I just noticed I have to update the screenshots too :D
Hi @kro, sorry to hear that. Is that crash reproducible? Which OS were you using?
So fun to play, great job!
Wow what a great piece of work! Awesome graphics, awesome story, awesome ambience... I could pay to play this. Really nice job :D
I found the camera movement a bit uncomfortable, but I did like the models and animations... I think it has potential to become a great game. Nice job, and I hope you get more ratings!
Very original concept, nice job!
So fun to play, and this is an awesome application of the theme. Loved the music too :D
Great job! I really had a great time playing this
A bit hard but really engaging experience.
Nice game. The AI may need some improvement as the enemies get stuck too often, but I enjoyed the experience. The music is awesome too :)
Nice concept and so fun to play, good job!
Really good job, so fun to play!
Great execution! It has a nice level of engagement.
Not bad at all for your first jam. I also found the colliders too strict, but generally speaking is fun to play. Nice music and original execution. Good job!
I really had fun wit it! I loved the music and the voices :)
Interesting game! Does hitting the opponent have any actual effect on them?
This game is an addiction! Awesome reinterpretation of Tetris games, and the music is perfect. Great job!
Somehow I'm really engaged to this, although I still suck at getting a high score. Great piece of work guys!
What a great work. I don't know if this can be played on mobile... in that case I might become addicted to it :)
Thanks @danyvk, that's good to know! I haven't given it a try yet, but will do later. I'm just afraid of staying engaged for hours :D:D
Kuviman never disappoints, really funny game! Great to see the Rust crabs there :)
I also got stuck at some points, but I really like the concept. Good stuff!
I miss the sound too, but I know in just three days you can't put all the features you plan. The graphics are fantastic, although some hit feedback animation would have been great. Anyway, in general is really fun to play. Simple old school arcade mechanics, I love it! Good job
Very entertaining game and cool style
I like your name :). Thanks for the feedback. Yeah I got right on time for the game submission and left the instructions at itch.io for later. Basically you have to collect the floating wood pieces and then go to the crafting area that you'll see highlighted on the beach.
Thank you all for your feedback! The itch.io page does contains instructions, but yeah, it's a good idea to have them in the LD jam page too so I will do that. I will take note for the Post Mortem :)
PS - The island is not actually shaken by the sharks, but earthquakes occur on a regular basis that make the island sink a few inches every time.
Thanks a lot for your comments guys, I'm taking not and adding your ideas and comments to my backlog. There's gonna be a significant amount of work for post-mortem!
@super8bitrafa yes, a quick interactive tutorial is one of the things I wanted to do but didn't make it on time. Will come in the next releases. Meanwhile, do you think the instructions at the page are not clear enough?
@enrique-romero so I wish too. Unfortunately I lack of the talent to draw a nice splash screen + deadline was approaching so I just decided to generate it by AI. And btw al AI generation attempts where horrible, the current splash was the most decent one among a few dozen images I tried to generate! xD
Thanks for your comments, I keep taking note of all your inputs.
@vr-corry In the itch.io page you can find downloadable versions with the suffix "_post_portem". Those are built from my development branch where I continue implementing imporovements and things I could not complete on time.
Nice graphics and gameplay. Having a hi score board is an extra motivation too. Good job!
Game completed! :)
I did have fun playing it, I think it has some potential to become a great Android game.
Of course it will need some polishing and further post-jam work, I also agree that putting the camera a bit higher would help on estimating the position, but generally speaking it's a nice game jam entry. Good job!
Looking forward to seeing the Linux version, I love the concept!
So engaging! I had a great time playing it. Cool graphics and sound.
Well done guys, this is a master piece of work!
Really nice concept and fun to play. Good job!
Great art and concept, good job!
Simple but fun and engaging game. I really had fan playing it!
Cool game and graphics. I didn't manage to open a single gate though :)
The first idea that came to our mind during brainstorming was something inspired on "Moving out" too :). This is a great execution guys!
Georgeous graphics and very chilling music. I don't think the gameplay is bad at all. It took me a while to figure out what to do, but then it became so engaging. Good job!
Great game! Cool graphics, music and I really enjoyed the gameplay.
This looks awesome. Too bad it can't be played yet... and a Linux version would be much appreciated :)
So fun to play!
Great artwork and very nice gameplay!
This is an excelent jam game, I could be playing it all day long! Definitely one of the most engaging ones I've played so far, great work!
Thank you! It happens quite often, I'm really short of time but either way I have fun just by attempting. We'll aim for the Extra category anyways :)
