hey! just a heads up that whenever I try to run the exe, it throws an error :(
error text: "Couldn't load project data at path '.'. Is the .pck file missing?"
not sure if it's just my computer being funky ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

.exe file does not work :( cute art in the screencap though!
I can't open it either, although I've never used Godot, but the Godot Build file isn't just an exe there's some game data files or something.
Oh, I think there is missing .pkg file with resources :(
As @tildecat said, when exporting for windows with Godot you need to sumbit both the .exe and the .pkg files in a .zip file! Let me know when that is working!
@vio @legolula @quandtuniverse @linwenhao @tildecat thank you for bringing this to my attention and I'm sorry for the inconvienience ^^' (it's the first time I'm doing this). I managed to make a playable webbrowser version, I took the .exe out and put the link to itch.io in.
And again thank you for being kind to me and my mistakes <3
I played it on itch and it works! Really like the narrative, feel very related to myself lol
@fanglin-tan thank you so much for your kind words! <3
Very cute! Keep it up and I'm sure you'll do something really big some day :O
The link works now! I really like the art and the setting. The details made it feel like a livable space. Would love to see this polished and expanded on :>
@kob-kirito @quandtuniverse thank you both so much <3 I already made a list of things to add as I learn to code more and your encouragement makes me really happy ^^
Very well done! Congratulations for such a solo-project! :)
@nomiki thank you kindly ^^
i'm glad you were able to get it working! it's a short and sweet game i can definitely relate to >.> i really like the hopeful ending as a reminder that things are going to get better! i was going to make a suggestion about the small text size, but it looks like you're already planning to change that, so no need :) you did a great job!!
GG for the artistic part ! So cute ! And congratulations for such a solo project !
@vio it makes me really happy that you gave me a secong chance and I'm glad you liked it ^^
@falestress thank you so much! I tried to lean into my existing skills because I'm still new to programming (stayed in my art comfort zone ^^)
Loved the vibe, very uplifting :) Not bad for your first try at doing the coding for a game!
@chybby thank you! I did struggle quite a bit but I'm very glad how so many like what I made :D
This is so cute! I like the mood of the game. The easter eggs (e.g. post-its, posters) were just awesome. It's sad, that the puzzle didn't work, but I like the idea. Not bad - especially as a first solo jam.
@julia-babadshanow Thank you so much! <3 I took inspiration from my own walls and shelves :D
I'm planning to keep working on this as a portfolio piece when I have time. So maybe someday the puzzle will work ^^
Aw this made me feel better in my mental space and honestly gave me motivation to get up and clean my room too! one step at a time right? As a fellow artist it's actually impressive how much you got done with the coding and so much art!!! all by yourself! I think you should feel proud :D I loved the mood and the message you tried to send with this game, I hope to see it finished one day <3
Good art and nice concept :)
Why am I in your game which three letter agency are you from and how did you penetrate my tinfoil hat
Nicely done for a first solo project! Good luck with programming — I know it's really hard at first
This is a really sweet experience, and I really like the art! For a short-term solo project this is very well-done! I think you've got a knack for this type of storytelling game, so keep it up!
making your first game solo is definitely a challenge. it doesn't matter that it didn't work out, something was created that looks good and maybe you can add some features to it in the future and it will be a nice game with a great story.
I liked that I found a message that the game does not work as it says on the sticky notes. funny detail
Wow! Your art is so Great. And this is a Solo project! Its very impressive. Love your concept!
@okshirl aww I'm glad it gave you motivation <3 this is something I also struggle but I learned that it's okay to do small steps or just clean one corner a day (small things will add up and before you see it, your room will be cleaner and more open) and thank you so much for your kind words <333 they make me feel giddy :D
@brick2face thank you! :D
@chitoyuu are we the same person? xD if you could relate to the struggles in this game then i hope you will feel more motivated and full of energy soon <3
@Tetrergeru thank you! I'm trying my best :D
@blazejmg917 thank you so much! I loved to write stories since I was little so those are the kind of games I'd love to make :D
@Skel3ton thank you for your encouragement! I'm planning to keep working on this (I already made a little list of things I'm planning to fix and add when I've figured out how ^^)
@meru thank you so much <3
The game has beautiful visuals and soothing music, which create a relaxing atmosphere.
Although the content is not extensive, there are attempts to add some different things, such as interactive scenes and different options leading to different outcomes. If more development time had been given, I believe there would be even more interesting content.
One issue I encountered was during the "painting". I was unsure of what to do exactly. It seemed like a puzzle game, but once I moved a piece, I couldn't move it again. However, despite the puzzle remaining unsolved, clicking the "Next" button still allowed me to continue the story.
Overall, I think the game is well done, and I particularly like the character designs. Keep up the good work!
@nilan thank you for playing! ^^ this was my first time coding a game on my own (and also my first time in godot) so I couldn't make everything work, which is why the puzzle is like that and the next button is available. I plan to fix the bugs and add the things I couldn't fit in during the jam when I have time (currently a bit busy with uni stuff but I'm working on it). I already made a small to-do list in itch.io for that ^^
again, thank you for your kind feedback even when some things still need to fixed! <3
Really cute art and cozy vibes, congrats on your first solo game and keep up the good work!
@artofmacks thank you very much! I'm glad you liked it ^^
Excellent job on your first solo jam! This turned out great, and it's really impressive that you implemented all these minigames in addition to very effective visuals and writing that tie it all together. Having multiple endings and some branching paths is a really nice touch, which gives the player a nice sense of agency while keeping the project scope reasonable.
I also really appreciate the ability to continue past a minigame before you've completed it; this is really helpful for people who are either replaying to get a different ending, or who get stuck on a puzzle but still want to experience the story. Skipping a partially-done task is also a cool story/RP mechanic because it lets the player inject a bit of their personality into the story (not having enough energy to finish something as a character detail). Great work - you should be proud of this one!
@chompdev thank you so much for your kind words! I had first planned to make other mini-games but I couldn't figure out the code for that ^^' I'm glad that for I managed to do and how liked it is! I'm also glad that the next-button is noticed as a story element :D
Again, thank you kindly for playing (multiple times too! :o ) and for your nice comment! It made me very happy ^^
Neat art and has a really cozy vibe to it. Good work! ^^
I love the idea and your art so much! Also enjoyed the little gaming part with the cleaning and drawing. Keep up the good work! :smile_cat:
Great art and concept, good job!
A very cozy game. I love the art! Depression trapping you in your apartment is definitely a unique twist on the limited space concept.
I felt that simply clicking on dishes and clothes to clean them up felt too simple. I would have liked to have to drag clothes to a bin, scrub food off of plates, or otherwise do a process that felt more mechanical or involved. To mimic the monotonous work that makes doing those tasks hard, but also to represent the therapeutic nature of slowly putting things in their proper place.
The game is simple, but very effective in conveying its themes. And like I said, the art is lovely. A great solo project for someone new to coding, you should be proud :)
@svenerik @nishikku @jacinto-mba thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it ^^
@pen-island-games thank you very much for your feedback! It is greatly appreciated!
I was actually planning to have a drag and drop option for the clothes but I couldn't figure it out on time ^^' I'm planning to add those mechanics this year (when I manage to learn them) I do like the idea of scrubbing the dishes clean and I will see if I can manage to try this.
Again thank you for your suggestions and kind words!
It's a nice game, it's simple, but it'll do.
@kazuma thanks :D
Enjoyed playing it, cool submission! Great work!
@sparklingsushi thank you! I'm glad you liked it ^^
A visual novel with some minigames. Pretty simplistic, but gets the message across, and it's clear that this game was made with honest feelings.
@moonlightbomber thank you! I'm glad to know that my message reaches others ^^
The biggest "problem" is that it's too short. I want more.
@jamtempisto aww you are too kind! ^^
