LD54 — Limited Space

Stingy Seating by stevenjmiller 2023-10-04T22:03:21Z

This is a very well done puzzle game. A simple set of mechanics that allow for very complex and difficult puzzles to be created! I respect the commitment to a "just try and figure it out yourself" philosophy with this game, but some of the mechanics could have been useful to directly tell the player from the start, like with bumping the people. I do also think this game is a perfect fit for the theme, so great job!

LIGHTDANCER by xk_the_name 2023-10-04T21:30:35Z

This game is amazing! I love the aesthetic and the mechanics are so well implemented. the movement and fighting feels so smooth. Great Job!

Adelie - Someone Like You by Meep 2023-10-05T17:56:22Z

Great Game! Love the P&D-type puzzling used in a different system!

Wall Wizard by Strega 2023-10-04T23:01:33Z

This game was super fun! I had a great time with it! You could def get into some sticky situations where you couldn't make any walls safely but it was still very fun! I do think the screen shaking was a bit excessive, gave me a bit of motion sickness sometimes haha, but great job!

Donut Park Here! by Rongo Matane 2023-10-04T22:33:50Z

This game is great! the mechanics and physics work incredibly well and I really enjoy your design overall! I think the controls were a bit frustrating to me for a while since avoiding damage was very hard, but I feel like that's an intentional choice, since this game feels like it falls into more of the overcooked and human fall flat types of games. I think this is really well done, and I had a blast playing it!

This Robot Wizard Game Is Taking Too Much Disk Space! by jandourek 2023-10-19T19:19:52Z

Oh this game is so cool. This is by far the most unique and innovative use of the theme I've seen!

TEMPLE IS ACID (feat. Bees 🐝) by samboyer276 2023-10-11T22:15:57Z

This game is really cool! I like how the audio changes on plays and the bee mechanics are fantastic!

Denpo by Strato 2023-10-04T21:35:39Z

this game was very fun! I had a great time with it!

Hazel & Hector by cassowary 2023-10-04T22:12:04Z

This game is so good! I am IN LOVE with the visuals and the idea of this game, it is adorable. I originally had a problem where I thought the game moved slowly, then lo and behold I realized I'm a dummy and should have been clicking and dragging their whole movement path the whole time! Great attention to detail there as it makes the game much better. I liked the puzzle design as they were hard but not impossible, and I think this game is well polished. I did have one note about something that could either have been a bug or a design choice, but when you push one rabbit onto grass, they don't eat it and then they have to exit the tile and return to eat the grass. Since you don't have a turn count limit, this wasn't causing me any issues, but I figured it would be worth bringing up in case it ever factored into level design. Great job!

Just why? by Donitz 2023-10-04T21:50:09Z

playing this game with a mouse that occassionally drops inputs sure was interesting hahaha. (I also shot myself in the foot cause I didn't see the 2 checkpoints per reset haha). But this game was incredibly fun! I think the oxygen was a super interesting way to force the player to move quickly in some sections too. I haven't played a game like this is years and it was incredibly fun to work my way through it again! Good Job!

Floodwater by John Gabriel 2023-10-04T21:22:53Z

Nice job! this is a fun little puzzle game!

Cloud Prison by Alexascher 2023-10-04T20:20:50Z

This game is incredible! I really enjoyed this game a whole lot and think it was a well thought out and well-implemented experience! Great job!

Parking Garage Rally by walaber 2023-10-04T21:57:28Z

This game is super fun! I think it's very amusing how easy it is to flip your car or fly off of the track, and I appreciate how often your drop in reset points so it doesn't hamper progression through the track too much. However, I feel this game could go in one of two ways: If you want the game to stick as just a goofy idea then I think it's great, but if you'd like it to function a bit more as a racer, you'd probably want to make the drifting a bit tighter, as some of the turns are kinda rough currently. But overall, great job!

Calves of the Braves by Furano 2023-10-11T22:06:18Z

very fun game! I like how it's got working 1p or 2p so it's fun to play with other people!

Super Low Memory Bot by LaserPanzerWal 2023-10-04T19:38:20Z

This is a really nice puzzle game! I love the retro style the game evokes, and it works smoothly. nice job!

Tiles and Sea by Twotinydice 2023-10-04T22:48:20Z

This game was very fun! I think it was a nice challenge to choose whether to hold onto tiles or to use them since you didn't know if they'd work or not. I will say that sometimes it was difficult to see the tile locations as they'd end up off the borders of the screen, but outside of that I thought it was a nice, fun, relaxing experience!

The King is Watching by Tvorojok 2023-10-08T23:22:25Z

This game is phenomenal! By far my favorite game I've seen so far. The management system with having onyl a limited viewing window is so unique and interesting for the gameplay. It was made harder since I didn't know which direction the box was going to expand when I upgraded, so planning out structures was kind of difficult at times. This game is absolutely a masterpiece, and is the only thing I've given straight 5s this year! You knocked it out of the park!

Star Step by Kyle Spence 2023-10-04T20:01:33Z

This was a very cool game! I liked the concept of using gunfire to travel a lot. I would suggest you change the way controls work when you're upside down, cause that can get confusing. Also, I think it might be good to somehow limit your ammo or firing speed, cause you can just fly through the game if you shoot fast enough. Great job though!

Burn Beetle by Pious 2023-10-07T01:25:01Z

This game is really nice! It's a small, contained experience and I like it! I did notice some slowdowns after the game was running for a while, which I'm guessing may be due to the growing of the brambles, but I think you did a really good job here!

Safe Space Passage by Kepsert 2023-10-08T23:35:49Z

This is a really solid game! I loved the mechanics and the aesthetic of the game! Occasionally had some weird issues with my position being displaced while rotating in narrow spaces, but overall great job!

Escape from the clutches by Anton4ik-dev 2023-10-07T01:33:21Z

The art of this game is phenomenal! I really like all of the visuals and the audio for the game, and I think that while making a fighting game in such a short time is definitely a risk, it comes across very well visually! I did feel that there was a little bit of a delay with some of the inputs and animations, which may have been intentional, but I feel like smoothing that just a bit would add quite a lot to the experience. Overall, great job! Especially with such a bold choice of genre for the jam!

Stretchmancer by Choo 2023-10-04T22:21:39Z

This game is incredibly innovative and creative. This is one of those games where I get excited trying to think about how it would have been implemented after I've played it. This core mechanic allows for so much creativity in the level and puzzle design and you really use it to its fullest here! The levels are incredibly interesting and fun to play through, and the audio really adds a ton to the experience.

My only complaint would be the camera snapping. When I tried to turn the camera with my mouse, it would suddenly jump harshly to the side. I'm assuming this is designed in order to make the 4-direction locked stretching easier to handle, but I think that some vector math to calculate which direction the hand should go would be less jarring to the player.

Outside of that one complaint, major props to the whole team, this game was absolutely incredibly and the scope of it just blows me out of the water. Great Job!

Stretchmancer by Choo 2023-10-05T14:17:24Z

@choo I've played it again on a different computer and didn't run into the same issue, so it's possible that it may have been something weird on my end causing it. I don't think it would have been a sensitivity issue but in case you'd like a more descriptive report on the bug I was previously having, whenever i'd turn my camera to the side roughly 60 degrees it would snap another 30-ish degrees in that same direction.

But regardless, I think you have a fantastic game here! And if nobody else is commenting on the issue, I think you're likely safe to assume it was just my mouse or computer bugging out haha

Sheep in Wolf's Clothing by ottos 2023-10-07T01:58:30Z

This game is so lovely! the Art and audio are both very nice and it was a very relaxing game to play. As for a few notes on improvements, I think adding some variation to some of the dungeon rooms could be nice, as most of them are just about the same but with entrances on differnt sides. Even just little rocks or pools of water could help give some of the rooms a bit more character. Also, some of the time when you push one of the rocks enough it just automatically solves the puzzle for you rather than making you push it the whole way. This wasn't much of a complaint but I did find it a bit odd. Lastly, I know this is an rpgmaker format for the battle system, but the title to choose a fighting action was "punch" which seemed a bit strange since the menu then contained attack, special, block and item. I think just changing that from punch to fight might make a bit more sense

Now it may seem I just have negative reviews cause of the comments I've left but that's so far from true, I think this game was incredible, and I just wanted to leave these comments in case you'd like to find ways to make your game even better! Great job!

STOP BURYING ME ALIVE, BEAUTIFUL! by robobarbie 2023-10-05T05:02:26Z

This game is so beautiful! I think both endings had some merit to them, and I appreciate that there wasn't some clear "right choice" that you gave players

Fairy Tale 2: Big Trouble in Pixie Hollow by Matt Green 2023-10-19T19:18:04Z

This is a really cool concept for a game! As others have said and you've responded to, adding some more mechanics like a shop or better ways to interact with the world after the very start would be good if you ever wanted to continue this beyond the jam, but I feel like "I wish I could add more mechanics" is the compo curse haha. Overall a really cool idea! good job!

Space traffic controller by rej 2023-10-04T19:22:26Z

I think this game is very cool! It's an interesting concept and I like the implementation, especially with how chaotic it gets at the end. However, I would say you probably would want to decrease the volume on the warning noise, as it was very grating

Burned Out, Shut In by cawfee_art 2023-10-05T19:01:38Z

This is a really sweet experience, and I really like the art! For a short-term solo project this is very well-done! I think you've got a knack for this type of storytelling game, so keep it up!

Six Floors Under by maxededo 2023-10-04T03:52:05Z

@profugo-barbatus thanks for the feedback! The target panel was a bug we've now put effort into resolving, so we're sorry you ran into that issue before we got to it! And we definitely agree that a tutorial is something we should add, but couldn't quite get too during the jam time limit

Six Floors Under by maxededo 2023-10-04T03:53:40Z

@lyssa thank you for the feedback! We agree that a tutorial would be useful, and we'll hopefully get to add that to this game in the future!

Six Floors Under by maxededo 2023-10-05T05:04:02Z

@drumgadget-433 glad you enjoyed it! and yeah adding more unique npc interactions is the exact plan we had for a stretch goal! Didn't quite hit it yet, but we're very close to getting some cool interactions working so we might just make it happen for an expanded version!

Six Floors Under by maxededo 2023-10-06T17:44:41Z

@krassenstein thanks for playing! It was cool to get to walk through the experience with you on your stream!

Galactic Taxi Limited by Archaeognathus 2023-10-04T19:53:06Z

I really enjoyed this game! I loved the idea of having to plan our optimal routes to take as many people as possible between planets before you run out of fuel! I think my main note for improvement would be that sometimes the lines pointing off the screen could be confusing. Maybe having some sort of arrow show up to point in the direction of the planet from the edge of the screen or something. But that's just my nitpicky comment. Great job!

Temple of the Abyss by CardboardMoon 2023-10-07T02:05:22Z

This was definitely an interesting game! I think that you could benefit from some level variation, even though I know that seems unintuitive for a reaction game like this, but maybe making the player make multiple quickdraws in a row without a break as you progress could be interesting! Regardless, i liked it, good job!

Back to Space by Zazzar 2023-10-19T19:15:29Z

this is an interesting idea for a game! I think that some of the explanations for mechanics could have been more clear. For example, while "make space" fits with the theme of space well, it isn't very clear what that means, so something like "push enemies" or "knock enemies back" or something would have potentially helped. I know striking that balance between thematic and useful tooltips is hard, but it's something worth figuring out! But overall, this is a neat game, good job!

Cold space by karnagie 2023-10-20T16:50:43Z

I think this is a very interesting concept, I think that some more time for polish would make this into a solid game

Magical Trial: Kiki's Service by Hongxin Li 2023-10-04T19:27:43Z

This is a really interesting idea for a game! I love the visuals and the aesthetics that the game evokes! I do think the control were a bit confusing, and there were some bugs I ran into, like the music not restarting properly and objects being distorted when they rotate. But I think this is a good start for a jam game! Just iron out some of those bugs and you'll be golden

Rogue Rails: Fractured Cargo by Phillips Albright 2023-10-05T18:33:10Z

This is such a cool game idea! I had a lot of fun playing around with it and trying out the differences between stealthing and speedrunning through. Awaiting my next assignment from Dunn Mitch

MY LIL WIZARD by doinksoft 2023-10-04T21:43:56Z

This game was very fun, and had some incredible graphic! I did get some slowdowns as the game continued, but overall I had a great time playing it! If you wanted to expand this beyond, working out those performance problems could land you with a really good full game!

LD55 — Summoning

Graphic-All by recursor 2024-04-23T03:00:02Z

This was a fun little game, and you did a great job with it, especially for compo! It was a fun visual style, and had good audio implementation as well as a fun, simple set of mechanics! Great job!

Summoner Symbols by Sheepolution 2024-04-23T01:39:38Z

I think this game is really well done! The art and audio are incredible and really set up such a strong tone for the game. You've absolutely nailed the game's presentation, and I love the vibe that it has

I also think this game is probably the most directly related to the theme that I've seen, so kudos for that!

Additionally, I think that the symbol drawing system is executed flawlessly. It never felt unresponsive in any way and I always was able to tell exactly what I was doing.

I do think that the ability to look at your symbols while drawing could have been beneficial, as there are quite a lot to look through which can make remembering them a little harder, but it only would save a few clicks back and forth so it's not a big deal.

I also really appreciate how much you attempt to aid the player, like in telling us exactly how many symbols are wrong rather than staying silent or punishing the player for incorrect choices. In a puzzle game like this, that quick feedback is incredibly useful in keeping players engaged and having fun

However, I will say that some of the riddles did end up feeling a little obtuse. It could just be me, but there were some that I really couldn't figure out well since there was such a wide breadth of answers to pick from where it seemed like multiple could fit. I know that puzzle games are really hard to tune difficulty for, especially when it comes to things like riddles, and you really did succeed with the difficulty on most of them, but I just feel that some ended up a lot harder than others

But overall, I really liked this game! You did a great job with it!

You Have Been Summoned by Frederika 2024-04-23T02:54:25Z

There's som really fun visuals to this story, and I think it's a very cool concept! It was a bit short, but it was also a very short time span for a jam, so good job! I'd love to see a longer version later!

Damn! Jury Summons?! by kleinzach 2024-04-23T03:05:16Z

This is a very fun little experience! It's pretty short and sweet, but I really like it! I think you could definitely expand this into a larger game with multiple sets of juries if you wanted to continue it! There could also probably be some room for balance tweaks but in 3 days you did a great job!

Dead to Rites by williambsm 2024-04-22T21:20:52Z

This is a really fun idea for a game! It took me a second to find the spells but once I did it was a fun little playthrough! There could definitely be some room for balance and polish, like more dangerous enemies spawning later to ramp up the tension, or an upgrade shop to get more spells, but all in all I really liked this idea! Also, the sprites are very clean and the music was great! I was very impressed with this from a team that has little engine experience! Great job!

Path of Aratron by nusan 2024-04-23T01:53:17Z

This game is incredibly creative! I had an absolute blast playing through these levels! They all had fairly simple worst case solutions, but a LOT of room for creativity to try and cut down gem usage as much as possible. The art was simple and fun, though it could get cluttered at times, and I loved the vibe of the game! Great Job!

Unholy Sanctum by elemel 2024-04-23T07:25:53Z

This is a fun idea to have a necromancer that has to use their health to spawn allies. And with this limited timer it works fairly well, but if you wanted to expand the game at all I definitely think that allowing the player to heal somehow and move a bit faster would be very beneficial. Good job with this game!

If Only by Le Slo 2024-04-23T20:08:29Z

This was a pretty fun game! I think the presentation is really good, and the puzzles are well designed, but I wish it were a little more clear within the game itself how you are supposed to summon the ghosts. I got stuck on the first level for a while just trying to figure it out. But all in all, great job!

Tristram by Rongo Matane 2024-04-23T03:43:12Z

This game is incredible! It's crazy how much you were able to pull together for this game in such a short time! And I know I played the post-fix version with update visuals but it's still so incredibly impressive. You made a combined game and management sim in such a short period of time and i am blown away by it. So many elements of this game are just so great! You have great art, great music, fun gameplay, I could see myself throwing hours and hours at a scaled up version of this game. It really feel like something you could finish up and sell after this jam. What a fantastic job you all did!

Globeba by Saturnyoshi 2024-04-23T01:06:16Z

This game is INCREDIBLE. I have no idea how you all managed to pull together this much content in this short of a time! The mechanics are incredibly well polished, the audio is clean, the art is cohesive and gorgeous, and your level design is phenomenal. This is the type of game I would think to find already published on Steam ready to purchase and waiting for a switch port, it's incredible. I think the only thing I would really comment on as a problem is that on occasion the free movement and grid-based parts of the game don't seem to completely sync up. You'll sometimes walk against a wall to far and abilities will act weird because of it, for example. But that's really the only thing I have to say that isn't just raving about this game. You're getting my first 5-star overall rating for sure, cause you absolutely deserve it!

Air Fried Ice by MadR 2024-04-23T02:46:12Z

This is a fun little game! I think that the art and music are really nice, and there's a nice little bit of strategy to counting your opponents cards and trying to make the right play! I think if you wanted to expand this further, either adding more types of cards or ways to expand/alter your deck could be a fun twist on it!

All in all, great job!

Where Have All the Globbletops Gone? by redoplus 2024-04-23T20:35:09Z

THis game was really fun! Absolutely the best mood of any of the games I've played. None of the globbletops were too hard to find, and I had a lot of fun. The art is great, the audio is fun, and the final globbletop was a very different turn than I was expecting, great job!

Butler! Summon the Imps! by jummbus 2024-04-23T02:15:37Z

This game is great! I don't play these types of games often but I had a great time! I adored the art and seound design all the way through and the gameplay was incredibly well polished (I especially loved the imp falling noise. somehow gave me Super Paper Mario vibes which I mean as an incredible compliment)! You had fun characters and a good narrative, and I really enjoyed it! I think my only note would be that teh last level feels like it needs some luck to get teh right colors to get it started, but once you get past that first hurdle its just as great as all of the rest. Fantastic job!

Summoning Master by JamesW 2024-04-23T07:33:36Z

This game is pretty fun! I aplaud you for trying to make a deckbuilder in 3 days, that's no easy feat! I really like the mechanics centered around summoned units, and think its an interesting choice to let your damage go into negatives and heal enemies. Could use some more variation if you decided to come back to it later, but all in all great job!

Burn with me by Nozomu57 2024-04-23T02:28:42Z

This game is really fun! It's a simple concept but executed incredibly well in a very addictive format. Actively allowing players to burn cards off of their deck is such an interesting way to take this, since that's traditionally very difficult to do in deckbuilders, so i really appreciate the unique take you had for this game! Great job! I'd love to see mor of this game in the future!!

Nexus Conquest by Blazejmg917 2024-04-23T02:31:41Z

@thomas-gelman thanks for the feedback! Updating our tooltips to work a little better is definitely something we'd like to improve in the future, as it was kind of thrown together and breaking up until the last minute. I'm very glad to hear that you enjoyed the game though! We put a lot of work into that gameplay loop so it's great to hear that you enjoyed it!

Nexus Conquest by Blazejmg917 2024-04-23T02:33:45Z

@aj-atkinson thanks for the feedback! I'm happy to hear that you liked it! And yeah, with the lore we had it's very clear in our heads how this game is super summoning-themed since you're essentially a summoning middle man pulling troops out of the rift and forming contracts with other summoners, but we didn't get as much of a chance to make that explicit in the game itself. But I'm glad that you enjoyed it!

Nexus Conquest by Blazejmg917 2024-04-23T02:34:15Z

@mistercarson thanks! I'm really proud of what our artists accomplished, so I'm glad to see that other people appreciate it as well!

Nexus Conquest by Blazejmg917 2024-04-23T02:35:33Z

@kleinzach yeah we had originally had the idea of toggling a setting between mouse and keyboard modes in the battle segments to alleviate that, but we didn't get around to it with the time we had. We'd def like to go around and do some more balancing fixes to speed that up in the future, but I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the game!

HELLSPAWNER by Thomas Gelman 2024-04-23T01:16:33Z

This game is a lot of fun! The visuals are great and I love the audio. The gameplay is really fun and shockingly polished for how little time you all had to work on it! Managed to beat each boss individually on hellspawner mode but all of them in a row is ROUGH. All in all I thought it was a really fun experience! There are probably some balance fixes you could make if you wanted to polish this up after the fact, but I really liked it!

Wittle Wizards by MisterCarson 2024-04-23T01:09:56Z

This is a really great project, and a genius idea. You made took a very simple starting product and polished it out into a super fun little 1v1 party game! This is the type of project I could easily see expanding into something more. The art is super polished and adorable, and the gameplay feels great! Great Job!

Manku the Magician by PorChor 2024-04-23T07:20:28Z

This game was so much fun! You did a great job writing the chat messages, your main character design was adorable, and I LOVED the vibe of this game with the art and the music and all! It was a lot of fun to play around with, even with how simple of a game it was! Great job!

Super Pal Summoner! by Meepster 2024-04-23T20:45:07Z

This is a pretty cute game! good job!

Phone Homies by IonBingo 2024-04-23T01:17:52Z

Really fun project! Right at the start there was quite a lot of information coming at me at once, but once I got the hang of it it was a really fun little puzzle! I think the art style is cute, and I really enjoyed the game!

Room to Grow by JJ Burns 2024-04-23T03:50:15Z

This game is really nice! I love the character art and music, and the gameplay is really fun to mess around with! I definitely think you could take some time after to populate the world a bit more and it would make for a really good product! I also think the camera shake was a bit much, but that's very possibly just a me thing. All in all, great job!

Castle Romantik by matt.vnr 2024-04-25T07:40:36Z

This was a fun little experience! It was relaxing and I had a great time trying to combine things together in the best way possible. 3080 was my best! I think a bit more variation, like the combo pieces would be nice, but al in all I really liked it!

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Jelly Gang by Split82 2024-10-15T19:48:09Z

This game is super cool! It started out a bit slower, but once you got to the more puzzling levels with separate pressure plates it really kicked up and grabbed me! I had a great time figuring out how to navigate the little guys!

Great job!

Vox Regis by Sheepolution 2024-10-11T17:04:37Z

This game was really fun! I loved the visuals you used for the game, and I thought that the shouting of Latin phrases was really funny. I had a whole "name of the game" moment when I heard him yell "Ludum Dare" and something about a king yelling "Ad Hominem" to whip up a violent mob was raelly comical to me.

There was also a solid level of strategy to the game, as you had to be sure not to whittle your groups down too much or you risked letting one grow too strong to tear down in time.

Great job!!

TINY PACK by xk_the_name 2024-10-09T21:40:44Z

This game is super cool! I love the adorable art style and vibes mixed with the eerie environment. I also did think it was a super interesting design to force you discard your resources to regain health after rounds! without that some of the fights seemed like they may have been too punishing, but since you can alwasy sack creatures to get more health it was actually balanced very well!

This is the type of game I would love to see turned into a full-length paid release! Great job!!

Chanterune by Kerdelos 2024-10-11T16:48:06Z

This game is incredible! it has fun platforming, great audio, fantastic visuals, and a great sense of style to it! It gave me really strong ocarina of time vibes, and I loved how you had to learn various different types of songs to use in traversing the environments!

I will say that every once in a while I got a small hiccup where the music would hang for a second, but outside of that one minor bug I really never had any issues with the game

And bold of you to try and make a boss stage for a jam but you somehow managed to make it work!! Usually that's something that people avoid just due to added complexity so props to your for getting it together!

Fantastic job! This is my favorite one I've seen (and the first I've given all 5s to)!

Critter Switcher by torcado 2024-10-10T04:10:51Z

This game was pretty fun! I loved the art and the audio, and it was pretty fun to figure out how to play around the different creatures. However, after a while the audio really badly distorted for some reason which made it a bit more grating. Additionally, while I appreciated the different animals, sometimes the random selection would really just screw you into not getting useful critters for a very long time.

But all ni all I had a really good time playing this game! Great job!

A very small seed by vidarn 2024-10-15T17:54:11Z

This was a very cute little game! I loved the audio and visual style, and it was a fun idea for a puzzle of a story that you could tell out of order!

great job!!

Drooplets! by tukisboolukis 2024-10-09T17:17:58Z

This is definitely and interesting idea for a game! I love the vibe of having to experiment with the drooplets to figure out what exactly they do!

I also love the lil sprites of the drooplets, they're very cute

However, I will say that given how limited your control over the drooplets is it can sometimes boil down to a waiting game of just hoping that they do what you need them to do. Having some additional mechanics to help instigate their actions would help to speed up the game a bit.

But all in all, good job!

Tiny Fairy Escape by fullmontis 2024-10-10T18:55:03Z

This game was interesting, I like the idea of the mechanic of swapping between sizes to solve puzzles, but I think that the movement and control scheme really dragged it down. having move and aiming both tied to mouse movement made this game really hard to control, especially when dealing with enemies

FOREST CLEARING by jefvel 2024-10-15T17:49:58Z

This game was a whole lot of fun! I ended up winning in 5 rounds.

I think a common problem with a lot of incremental games is that there ends up being almost no actually planning involved, as the goal is always just to pick up the next immediate upgrade without thinking, but this game definitely allowed for some planning of what style of playing you wanted to angle for

I also really liked how the pierc mechanic worked, and it ended up pairing really well with move speed upgrades!

This was a whole lot of fun, and super impressive, especially for compo!

The Battle Of The Pixels by elZach 2024-10-11T21:37:44Z

This is SUCH a cool idea!! I love the fact that you've hooked this up to the server so you can play against other creatures almost spore style! The combat part could maybe use a little work, but seeing as you managed to set this up for a jam I think you did a great job! I think the biggest thing I would maybe ask for is a better tiebreaker than just who falls off the map second.

Also, after a while I did get a bug where the two parts of the game were both active forcing me to restart, and since you cant cache creatures or log in to get them back in any way that ended my play sessionCapture.PNG

But all in all, great job!

Interstellar Cargo Maidens by kiririn51 2024-10-09T17:03:24Z

This game was super fun and incredibly addicting hahahah, great job building this really fun management sim! I will say that the game could potentially use some balancing cause aluminum was just always the best answer until I got uranium and then taht was always the best answer, there was never really any need to branch out to anything else. Also, the elite pilot bonus going from 500 to 75000 speed is a little insane. I also don't really see how this game connects to the theme, but all in all it was a super fun experience!

Towerfall by Avi 2024-10-11T20:48:19Z

This was a fun little game to play through! I will say that it appears your tips show up one level late for a decent portion of the game, with key hints not appearing until the level after keys show up, etc.

But I love the art and the audio! Great job!

Tiny With Power by filgreen3 2024-10-11T17:25:43Z

This was a pretty fun game, I managed to get 5.11M on my playthrough. I will say that the audio is a bit repetetive for how long long it tends to run for a full playthrough, but all in all it was a fun time. The strategy is definitely jsut to chain them all in a time of all additions followed by all multiplications, but it was a fun little game!

GO BLO by deniskazantsev 2024-10-10T18:49:41Z

This game is pretty fun! It's a nice quick little experience that reminded me of kirby mass attack! I love the little sound effects you've got all around as well.

The only thing I'll say is that it wasn't immediately clear what some of the things that would kill you were, like the bomb was a bit out of nowhere. But the quick restart button helped a lot with that.

All in all, great job!

Head'quarters by YogurtTheHorse 2024-10-10T19:04:42Z

i ADORE the visual style of this game, everything about it is so funny and whimsical and I love the idea of these people trying to control a person throughout their day! It was a fun and simple little game to play through and I had a great time!

I do think the timer seemed a bit odd, like it would just sit on empty for a while before docking points from me, I only actually managed to get it to fail me once by lounging around and doing nothing hahaha

But all in all you did an amazing job with this game!

MintOlympics by HolySparks 2024-10-09T17:09:34Z

This is a really cute game! I really appreciate the in-depth tutorial screen to really show how all of the game works! I will say that I wish it was a little more clear where the leaves would bounce you, as it would usually bounce me up but every once in a while would ricochet me directly back the way I came from.

The art is very cute, and the music is a nice little bop, but it doesn't quite loop perfectly, if that loop was fixed I think it would be really great for this game!

All in all great job putting this together!

Coven of Critters by JamieOK 2024-10-10T18:41:45Z

This was a really cute little game! It was short and sweet and the mechanics were all very fun! I especially loved all of the character models as well, they were adorable! The only notes I may have is that it wasn't immediately obvious what the monochrome and colored walls did, but it didn't take too long to figure out.

All in all, great job!!!!

Slimeow Game by Quan Ran 2024-10-09T21:27:35Z

This game is really fun! I really loved the art style and the music, they set up a really nice atmosphere for the game! It was a really fun little management sim to pop people back and forth.

I will say that at times the balancing seems a little bit odd, since you tend to be really pressed to get to the next fishy upgrade if you upgrade anything else, but all in all it was a great jam game!

Cordyception by Rakthalekk 2024-10-09T15:10:46Z

@mistercarson thanks for the review! I can definitely see the floatiness being something that could be toned down a bit, but I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Cordyception by Rakthalekk 2024-10-09T15:12:09Z

@smoore glad you enjoyed the game! The worm burrow was definitely a mechanic I would've liked to have more time to build upon, as it was one of my favorites to implement, but with how strong it is we definitely ended up having to limit it some. If this game became larger later on I'd absolutely want to build on it further though!

Cordyception by Rakthalekk 2024-10-09T15:13:24Z

@loveschach right? I loved the music our musician made for this game, its so catchy!

Cordyception by Rakthalekk 2024-10-09T15:17:59Z

@spirits thanks for the compliments! We def ended up ramping the puzzle difficulty fairly quickly since we only had limited time to make them, but I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Cordyception by Rakthalekk 2024-10-09T15:19:10Z

Ooh @ronn-fever I hadn't heard of Little Nemo before but it looks really interesting! I'm glad you enjoyed!

Cordyception by Rakthalekk 2024-10-09T15:20:59Z

@mdsalomon thanks! would def be a good idea to look for more ways to clarify the kill-on-use ability. But it is definitely the type of game that would be fun to expand on!

Cordyception by Rakthalekk 2024-10-09T15:21:56Z

@juutis thanks for the review! there's definitely some tweaking that could be done on some of the puzzles/mechanics, but really glad that you enjoyed it!

Cordyception by Rakthalekk 2024-10-09T15:23:57Z

@emaigualmc2-art glad you liked the game! we set up z as the default for use in a arrow keys/zxc control scheme, we also have shift as an option for the interaction if you prefer wasd! If we had more time I definitely would've liked to get the on-screen controls to update to match your control scheme

Cordyception by Rakthalekk 2024-10-10T04:12:42Z

@enchaec thanks! I really like the work our artists did as well! and yeah if we had time to make a lot more levels we definitely could have introduced mechanics at a slower pace, but with the time we had we wanted to make sure people got to play more than just tutorial levels hahah. glad you enjoyed it!

Cordyception by Rakthalekk 2024-10-10T04:12:53Z

@phoenixstroh glad to hear you enjoyed it!

Hamster Shelter by Doonutsaur 2024-10-11T17:34:31Z

This game is really fun! I love the little optimizations you can do with road configurations. I will say when i initially started I wasn't exactly sure what to do but after a while of tinkering I figured out what it meant by connecting the home. Also, there is a bug with teh green roads that they infinitely exponentially increase in value when placed next to each other, so maybe not allowing them to gain bonuses from other green roads would help to repair the game balance. But all in all this game was really fun and cute! good job!

AHHElevator by AlxJE 2024-10-09T16:10:19Z

this is a really cool idea! I don't think I've ever seen a game like this before! kudos to you for such an innovative and fun idea! I will say that I wish I had been abel to try it with the dual mouse or controller schemes but I have only one mouse and no xbox controllers, and the mouse and controller input style is a bit awkward to handle. I can also imagine a game like this working really well on either a form of touchscreen or using vr-style hand tracking controls!

There was definitely some fun tech to figure out like with fully dropping the elevator to speed it to the bottom, which I appreciated.

Great job!

Slingshot Delivery by i_cam 2024-10-09T20:52:07Z

This game is suepr fun! I love the wildly fast movement you can get if you nail the grappling hook! I managed to get 11 at max but I just kept wanting to play it! The background visuals are super nice and I love the intense space music, its stuck in my head at this point hahaha.

I think the only suggestion I may have would be towards some sort of indicators of where to go, its certainly fun flying around searching so they aren't really necessary, but having a firmer sense of direction would be a different type of fun!

But that's just a nitpicky suggestion, you did a great job with this game!

Office Pets! by MisterCarson 2024-10-09T20:39:18Z

This was a really cute game! I loved the art style and how the different pets would morph into larger versions of themselves! There definitely were some weird overlapping collision issues once you got a lot of pets on the board, and there could've been some further indication of what some of the less immediately obvious items would be useful for, but it was a fun, quick game to mess around with!

Espionausage: Wiener Takes All by IonBingo 2024-10-09T20:31:07Z

This game is really fun! I love the perspective change and the extra twist it adds into an otherwise simple game! The art and audio are great, and it feels really fun to play!

My one note is that it might be nice to have some additional UI to help explain to the player what's happening, and a quicker way to restart if you lose.

But all in all great job!!

Candyween by Megurt 2024-10-10T19:10:20Z

This is a super cute and really fun game! I love the visual and audio style this game has, and what a neat concept! Especially making it relevant for Halloween!

The gameplay was simple and fun, though I do feel like sometimes the kittens got stuck on things

all in all, great joB!!

Would You Still Love Me? by RachelfTech 2024-10-15T17:56:53Z

This is a very sweet experience! I liked how you utilized subtle game mechanics to tell the story! Very florence-esque!

Evergrove by Chariot 2024-10-11T17:53:18Z

This game has some really interesting ideas with the generation and dwarf control, and was generally pretty interesting.

However I feel like the one thing lacking is direction for the player. Of course you can gather resources and move around, but without anything directly shown to you as a goal with the resources beyond just building more more hubs it requires a bit more of a buy in from the players to motivate themselves. But given just how much you've packed into the gameplay of this game I can see that was your primary focus. Additioanlly, since you cna always buy back your starting set of dwarves for free there's really not much consequence to just letting them die.

But those are my nitpicky comments, your ai for navigation works really well, and I enjoyed that the dwarves seem to work very well together.

And additionally, your world generation with various layers is really interesting! It led to a really cool world to play around with!

All in all, great job! This is the kind of game I'd love to see an expanded version of sometime!
