I really liked the art style and music. The dithering effect and 4:3 ratio was nostalgic for me. The game would be far more approachable if the cannons did not automatically shoot the player until later levels. It was hard to quickly navigate a level without becoming familiar with it first.

The sound effects capture the essence of the tiny world, but the looping of the soundtrack seems a bit tedious. The game's graphic design is very creative, especially the detailing is exquisite, but it is slightly stiff in certain dynamic scenes. The game's level design is challenging, but kind of left me feeling confused at first. All in all it's a fun game!

The first game in which the tutorial is conveyed so wonderfully! My respect!

imberny 2024-10-08 23:53

I like how the "barrels" are one use, it adds some strategy to your pathing.

gilgadev 2024-10-09 12:06

Thanks for the feedback, everyone! This game was a joy to make and we are very proud of it, despite not having all of the planned features.

kristirose88 2024-10-09 17:07

This is a really creative little game! I like the sound effects and music!

blazejmg917 2024-10-09 17:09

This is a really cute game! I really appreciate the in-depth tutorial screen to really show how all of the game works! I will say that I wish it was a little more clear where the leaves would bounce you, as it would usually bounce me up but every once in a while would ricochet me directly back the way I came from.

The art is very cute, and the music is a nice little bop, but it doesn't quite loop perfectly, if that loop was fixed I think it would be really great for this game!

All in all great job putting this together!

I really enjoyed the game, great art and fun mechanics. One small suggestion, make the first level easier. It took me a while to adapt the trace of the shoots.

kabura 2024-10-09 17:09

What a cute small game! I really enjoyed it, it feels challenging and also has a fun mood to it! good job! <3

Quite fun, well done. As for me, the animation of the transition on the first jar after losing is a bit out of the fast-paced gameplay, as well as the fact that the character automatically over time flies out of the jar looks not quite fair, I guess.

iven 2024-10-09 17:39

It's really fun to play, makes me feel a bit nostalgic for the old days.

andruid 2024-10-09 17:57

You all are awesome for taking the time to play as well as dropping a comment!

The game sure could benefit from some tweaks, so thx for the feedback.

@blazejmg917 you were spot on the greatest obstacles we had. We don't know how the hells that music loop wasn't working as intended and couldn't make it flawless in time. And yeah, the leaves... That's why we chose to call it "ricochet". It is crazier than we were aiming for (a little jump thing). I'm glad you had fun tho!

wendy222 2024-10-10 14:24

this is a simple mechanic, but it turns out unexpectedly hard for me!! lol, good job

odronin 2024-10-18 12:59

A fun active puzzle with a nice musical accompaniment. The only thing I would like is to increase the field of view, otherwise you often have to fly at random even on the first level.

andruid 2024-10-19 13:03

Thanks for that feedback @odronin . This is something we were debating during the process, so it's nice to know what you guys think.

psuchan 2024-10-21 21:09

First of all, congratulations on finishing the game! I found it quite challenging. The mechanics are simple but require practice to master. I think the graphics look great and suit this type of game very well. It would be helpful to have an overview of the level at the beginning so I could plan my path

brainloaf-studio 2024-10-23 18:51

The art and overall style is really charming! I love the little sounds when Ant-onio flies around. It took a little time to get a hang of the physics and the levels are pretty difficult, but it's a fun time. Nice work!

barryrichter 2024-10-24 04:31

It is a fun game that puts you right into th emiddle of it. Some high stakes action right of the bat with some fun puzzles and levels to navigate through.

creeper-nade 2024-10-24 15:28

I found the game a little bit difficult for me, but I still managed to finish after dying an uncountable number of times. The "yipee" sound is indeed very funny, and the background music is chill as well! Good job

paulsams 2024-10-24 19:18

A very stylish and beautiful looking game, but it’s a shame that some aspects fall short. If you perceive your game as a game for many retries, then the initial animation is very long and it begins to irritate and knocks you out of the rhythm a little). It is clear that you wanted to show the entire map with this, but this is very little informative, it seems to me. And it would be cool if the can fired itself if the time in it ran out. And I had so much fun playing it.

kja8a8 2024-10-25 01:52

Mint Olympics is such a fun and creative game! The idea of using soda-mint reactions to jump is really unique. The levels are simple but challenging, making it exciting to play. The controls are easy to learn, but mastering the jumps takes skill. It’s a great mix of fun and strategy, perfect for anyone who loves platformers. The cute ant character and playful setting make the game even more charming!

transkuja 2024-10-25 10:58

Cool game, I like how you need to adjust your trajectories based on physics even if it's kinda hard sometimes

alchemic 2024-10-25 19:46

Very challenging! I thought I would have an easy time, having played a lot of "barrel" type games in my days, but the added urgency and precision required caught me off guard.

Very cute graphics, and the music is nice.

Only complaint is I feel like the leaves are a little unreliable, it feels like sometimes they bounce me in an unexpected direction, or sometimes I seem to pass straight through them.

andruid 2024-10-25 21:01

Getting very close to the end of the jam I'd like to thank you all once again for taking the time to play, rate and leave a comment. It's always a rush followed by a lot of learning especially from what you guys have to say. A BIG THANKS! I hope each of your games get great ratings. Cheers!
