nice little horror game! this game has a very unique style, thats great!
@ideaspersecond thank you so much! We even have an apk version on our phones already haha! We're just tweaking and adding a few things (like a pause button) and will then release the mobile version for everyone very soon!
I like the concept, but by not spending a lot of time of trial and error it seems very hard to achieve. maybe some hints would be helpful? maybe I'm missing something, but I can't really grasp how to figure out what is needed :( let me know if you have a tip! :D

Amazing! I love the idea and unusual controls! also really like the extra layer of obstacles (the granny shooting because you stepped on a flower is hillarious). also quite challenging, it took me a few tries to get through the first level even. great job!

hey @adamcyounis thanks sm for your feedback! and yes, we agree (: as soon as we have the time, we want to implement a bigger speed curve for increased difficulty (there is one actually, it's just not really noticeable enough) and a new car type, being coin cars, which drop coins on the ground to stay for a few seconds. cheers!

interesting idea! I love the theme mix of space and valhalla. Some parts could've used a little more detail, like sounds, hit effects, etc. this would add quite a lot! But still, good job! :D
nice entry! the artworks are really great, but I assume because of the limited time there was no way to make more fluid animations. it makes it feel a bit choppy sadly, especially as projectiles are a bit choppy too. I felt like that was a big issue for responsive gameplay, as it was hard to tell for me what was really going on. nonetheless it's still a great entry, the character sprites were exceptionally good!

We really appreciate your feedback and already had plans for updates that all of you noted down as well. Fist of all there actually was a curve for enemy spawns over time, it just doesn't seem to work right now, we will fix that. We also wanted to make it more noticeable when you have a new torch available, but we were crunching so hard on the last few hours, that we just didn't have the time for it. Also we wanted to make the health drops disappear after some time, so you have to take them while they are fresh. I noticed that camping in one spot was very op as well, just too late. The original idea was to spread out more, which also makes it more difficult to protect all the torches further away. A possible fix could be to have a minimum range they need to be apart, what do you guys think, is that a good way to go? Lastly for further development we plan to implement an upgrade system. May it be by collecting other drops or leveling up through XP, you will be able to buff your damage, fire rate, player hp and torch hp, speed, as well as ammo capacity, reload time and torch capacity. please let us know what you think and if you have some cool ideas! :fire:

hey man, congrats on your first game jam! I like your artstyle and the theme you were going for is a very nice idea ^^. Sadly there is not too much to explore, but that's how it goes when you don't have too much time. Still, good job on getting something up here, that's the first step to success! :D
Really nice idea! gameplay was simple to understand and hard to master, which is great! the sensitivity was a bit to high for me though, I ragequitted after trying to complete the 2nd level about 15 times lol. BUT THE SOUNDTRACK! THE SOUNDTRACK IS A BANGER!!

We could add new types of enemies, different player or environment skins, new weapon types or special abilities and items, there's so many options! Another idea could be to implement upgrades within the run, so that you get stronger along with the ever increasing horde of enemies! tell us what you'd like to see the most here and we might just make it happen! :fire:

I love it! the art is beautiful and well made, the sounds and game feel are great, and it's a super cool and unique gameplay idea for this theme! the main mechanics are super simple but feel satisfying, which is perfect for a small jam game. ^^ good job!

haha nice! The idea for the theme is pretty cool, I especially like the small dialogues before the fight lol. One note: I was able to beat the cat quite easily by standing in the very far left corner, as most of its moves couldn't reach me there. That way I only had to dodge the trash to win. Still a very nice game though!

We definitely share some of your thoughts too. ^^ We've made a small patch, only updating the meta progression prices, the original version can still be played too ofc! Other than that, feel free to suggest ideas for future development, we'd love to hear your thoughts on what could come next!
@paulsams thanks for your feedback! yea the entire meta progression / difficulty curve isn't balanced that well, we noticed that too, but didn't have the time to really nail it down. if we decide to develop it further, that's the first thing we'll fix though!
@irkar Hey, thanks for the feedback! although I'm not quite certain what you're referring to. the in-game level ups don't stay when you die, but there's a general upgrade option for meta progression when you die, enabling you to get further every run. what seems to be the issue for you?
