LD46 — Keep it alive

Tumble Baby by 01010111 2020-04-20T18:50:58Z

Really cool concept, and very well polished! I've never been good at these tile games, so I will admit the title screen was probably the hardest level... ran into the same bug people mentioned above about the baby getting stuck in tiles, but otherwise a really good game!

A Night In The Dark by lectvs 2020-04-25T04:14:56Z

Awesome game! Looks like we had very similar concepts for this jam (we even both had the red eyes for the enemies in the dark!), but I think you delivered a lot better on the artstyle and general mood ;)

Well done!

Spirit cave by smiley 2020-04-20T21:50:34Z

Really liked the artwork and the music, also the level generation was pretty cool too! Feel like the controls for keyboard could be touched up a bit (using x felt kinda weird)

Lost Island by JPiolho 2020-04-20T22:11:21Z

Really nice and cute game! I really enjoyed the graphics and watching the island slowly start to gain colour - the music changes as the days progress is a really nice touch as well!

It took me a while to figure out you had to place the seeds in the big boxes, and I also couldn't find a way to switch between my items (the only way I could do it was by using my mouse to switch them around?). All in all, I enjoyed the game, and I think it has a lot of potential if you ever feel like adding more to it - Great work!

Lich Clicker by Fictions 2020-04-20T18:37:10Z

Fun clicker game with great voice lines! Didn't fully understand the hunger bar, but other than that I really enjoyed the game - Great job!

The Empty Cone by Acr515 2020-04-25T04:43:44Z

Really nice and pretty polished game! Gameplay was a lot of fun and the art + music all worked quite well together. Also loved the twist too! I feel like the days could have been a bit shorter, and also a simple tutorial at the beginning would have helped a lot too.

Unfortunately, I ran into a crash towards the end of the 4th day when I defeated the monsters and then tried to get ice cream. This was on the web version - dev tool's console says: `RuntimeError: invalid index into function table`

Either way, it was a lot of fun to play, good job!

Keep it Fire by Mykola 2020-04-20T20:26:25Z

Nice and simple platformer! The music was really nice and the movement feels pretty good as well.

One thing I would mention is changing "Sprint" to "Dash" in the instructions to make it a bit more clear

Well Done!

Place me back by Nyunesu 2020-04-20T19:01:25Z

I always enjoy the creativity in one-button games, and this one was very well done! Everything felt very smooth and polished - the only thing I could have asked for would be more levels!

Tree Shroomulator by CrispyPin 2020-04-20T22:24:43Z

Interesting simulation game, there are some cool mechanics around using the shade to protect some mushrooms.

I feel like how the plants spawn determines a lot of how things are going to work out, since you don't have control over the size of the sun/rain, it's sometimes impossible to keep all the plants alive.

Also I couldn't figure out what causes the acid rain vs normal rain (is it just random? I feel like I didn't get any acid rain at all on my first playthrough..)

Well done!

Coronary Flypass by squirmonkey 2020-04-20T22:38:04Z

Great game! Absolutely loved the voice at the beginning of each level

Keep the beat alive by Dukes 2020-04-21T01:18:19Z

Really fun and creative game! I thoroughly enjoyed playing it!

Signal Surfer by ChewieCB 2020-04-21T18:35:29Z

Short and sweet game! Gameplay felt really smooth, and the artwork + audio were great! Nice job!

StarDreck by xPutin88 2020-04-21T18:26:54Z

Absolutely loved the visuals! Gameplay feels a little lacking though, could maybe use some powerups / maybe ways to shoot incoming asteroids?

Great work!

PULSE by JonasPK 2020-04-20T17:55:47Z

I think you linked your personal edit itch.io page. Should probably switch that to the actual game link (click "View page" on that link)

The Light Child by hulien22 2020-04-20T18:39:03Z

@cryptomnesic Thanks for the comment! The enemies only start spawning once you fetch the orbs in the corners of the world

The Light Child by hulien22 2020-04-20T21:53:23Z

@jupiter-hadley I think that was because you were dropping the item instead of using it, but that's on me for not making better tutorialization in the game :/ Thanks for playing!

The Light Child by hulien22 2020-04-26T12:42:51Z

@jacksgamessucks Hmm I haven't heard of anyone else running into that issue.. What browser are you playing on? Maybe you can try running the downloadable version as well?

Rusty Spaceship by VersatileSponge 2020-04-21T17:56:47Z

Cool idea! The rotation on the last level messed with my head a bit, but luckily I managed to land before it got too bad. Honestly, I kinda dig the artstyle of all the ship equipment (reminds me a lot of Kingdom of Loathing/West of Loathing) - it would have been nice if everything was like that!

Had fun playing it, good job!

Capture & Trace by LiquidFunk 2020-04-21T18:19:44Z

Managed to beat it, but I don't entirely fully understand how I did it.. Cool game though!

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Kitastrophe by Jezzamon 2022-04-10T10:07:18Z

Fun and cute little game! Didn't get to experience the multiplayer, but impressive that you were able to get that working for a compo game! Bit confused as to how to progress if playing singleplayer, as it seems like the yarn doesn't respawn, so you're stuck with a limited amount of throwables and then lose. Did find some things far off in the map, but its a little difficult to navigate back to the cat (would be nice to have a arrow or something that points back).

Great job!

Eschaton, Dark Forest of the by Tygrak 2022-04-10T09:55:59Z

Great game, really enjoyed it! Kinda gave me some undertale vibes with the stabilizer minigame sort of being similar to the combat minigame from there. Loved all the worldbuilding and characters you managed to fit into a small game like this! And the music matches the mood of the game so well, tremendous work!

Ludum Distractio by PhilStrahl 2022-04-11T03:36:04Z

Absolutely loved all the little easter eggs throughout the code! Props to the IDE for being able to find errors in assembly code

Found the scroll bar a little finicky to use, would often skip over entire code segments by scrolling too quickly. But other than that small gripe, had a fun time! Great work!

Claustrowordia by Antti Haavikko 2022-04-10T10:25:27Z

Super polished and well thought out game! Hard to find many flaws with the game, which is especially impressive considering this is a compo entry (only thing I might like to see is some more diversity for the twists)! Easy to understand and play, and great interpretation of the theme.

Favourite part is when you place down a letter to form a word, and then it turns out that it also forms a bunch of other words you didn't even consider

Ancient Hogs by Manan 2022-04-10T09:40:49Z

Awesome job on the music and sound effects, had a fun time chasing down pigs and jamming to the beats! Would be nice to have the spears reset on the second day, since I definitely lost most of them.. Fun challenge and great work!

Les Aventures de De Lay L'Inévitable! by natpat 2022-04-10T09:21:08Z

Love the pixel art and overall humor! Controls are easy to learn but take a little bit to get used to, but that's a positive for an arcade game like this - I found that the technique that worked best for me was to keep height at the lowest, and then just use the left and right arrows to control power / direction..

Great work! Screenshot 2022-04-10 021852.png

Waterlogged by Logic Monkey 2022-04-10T08:49:59Z

Big fan of the music and the artstyle with the 2.5d background! My main issue with the game is that in later levels you can sometimes get stuck in a dead end, and by the time you realize it, the water has already trapped you - but perhaps this is just a side effect of having randomly generated terrain.. Either way, well done!

Ludum Dare 50 - Don't Give Up by Furtive Pygmy 2022-04-11T01:48:39Z

Nice collection of minigames, like how you tied in the theme in with everything! Got some small warioware vibes from it with the short and fun minigames. I think I probably liked the first game the most out of all of them, took me a bit to realize you could double jump in the second one, and feels like the third one went on for a bit too long compared to the others.

Good job with the music and art as well, well done!

The Pit by ZwodahS 2022-04-11T02:37:05Z

Absolutely love card games, and had a great time with this one! Would have been nice to have the option to pick which cards to add to your deck (like in Slay the Spire) instead of just getting random ones, as that way there could be a bit more strategy (eg picking more of the wound producing cards if you have some destroy cards). Would also help with the problem I faced of not being given any healing cards towards the end of the game, but perhaps I should have used the "Prepare" option a couple of times instead of the "Search" option at the fireplaces..

Great game!

Screenshot 2022-04-10 193604.png

Knighthood by SMdG 2022-04-10T10:35:12Z

Good compo entry, has a nice charm to it :) I enjoyed the art and sound effects, although the music was quite repetitive.

A small note, it was unclear to me from the in game instructions how to use the laser, since there it just says to use right click. Only by reading the instructions on the itch.io page did I see that you have to click both mouse buttons..

Nice work!

stop some of the bullets by nathanoc 2022-04-10T08:59:29Z

Overall a really well polished minimalistic game - the graphics, ui, text, and music all fit together really well! Good twist on the traditional breakout style of games, would have loved to see some more variety in powerups (eg a speed up powerup, or a heal powerup would be nice to keep the game going a bit longer)

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Tenjutsu by deepnight 2022-10-06T08:07:20Z

Managed to beat the game, definitely the best game I've played so far and extra impressive that it's a compo game! Tough to come up with any criticisms honestly, the innovative idea, the tight controls, game balance, graphics, sound effects.. you knocked everything out of the park! Awesome job!

Game Name by Strega 2022-10-06T09:03:02Z

Amazing well executed! I think the sleep minigame was my worst one, similar to my experience during the jam too

Lys by VPhyre 2022-10-06T08:32:09Z

Awesome puzzle game, had a fun time playing it! Really liked all the art and the character designs

Blink by JUSTCAMH 2022-10-15T08:06:55Z

What an amazing game! Definitely reminded me a bit of Fez and some other puzzle platformers - I am a huge fan of these games where you need to figure out everything by yourself as you play. Also amazed by how polished this game is and how great all the level design is. 5/5 great job! :crown:

What's the rules? by Pusheeneiro 2022-10-06T08:18:48Z

Agreed with the impossible game comparisons, also reminded me a bit of the warioware minigames - Great entry, had a lot of fun playing!

Potion Commotion by hulien22 2022-10-05T04:58:26Z

Thanks all for playing the game and leaving feedback! Let us know if you make it to the end of the game!

@killerb You can heat the potions by putting them on the candle heaters (they start off on the left side, but you can move them around if you want). The potions will change colours after periods of time - sometimes it might be a bit tough to see the colour change since we use random colours, but you can use the puffs of smoke to help count the seconds

Potion Commotion by hulien22 2022-10-07T19:12:23Z

@katboo you can try the windows build if you don't have support for WebGL / WebAssembly in your browser

Potion Commotion by hulien22 2022-10-07T19:16:29Z

Thanks for all the feedback everyone, has been super useful and we really appreciate it!!

---

🧪 On the topic of dropping items in the potion bottles, the way the code works is that it checks if the potion bottle is underneath the *mouse pointer* when the item is dropped - we did have plans for having some custom mouse cursors that would have helped to make this clearer, but unfortunately ran out of time..

Poda Wants a Statue by Doot 2022-10-12T07:20:15Z

What a remarkably sweet and fun game! Loved every part of it :rabbit2:

Sailing through life by Chase of Bass 2022-10-06T08:47:36Z

A really nice and charming experience, great work on this! Was a nice change of pace after playing some of the more chaotic games around

Birdwatching by Iguanana 2022-10-05T03:26:42Z

Really cute and polished game, great job! Loved all the bird facts.

I was competing with a friend and he complained that I kept getting the "pica pica"

LD53 — Delivery

Mouth Feel by ColeSlaughter 2023-05-07T02:29:13Z

Really funny and creative  - had a fun time, great entry!

Holiday Halfpipe by Marcus Otterstrom 2023-05-08T04:51:30Z

Fun little game! Got a highscore of 19250 :) Really liked the art and all the sounds!

One thing I'd like to see added is some form of combo system where the more (and different) tricks you do in a row the more points you get (could also do point multipliers for keeping a long streak going).

Nice work :santa: !

The Pigeon Post Principle by cassowary 2023-05-04T07:18:36Z

Really solid puzzle game, always impressed by what people can come up with in 48 hours! The undo and reset buttons are a great feature, and the music really brings the whole game together :) Awesome job!

The Convoy by Vectrex28 2023-05-06T08:10:56Z

Super impressed by all of this, really well done!

Courrier de Souvenirs by MasterProject 2023-05-11T02:13:10Z

Really cute game, loved all the different characters!

Chain Mail by AdamCYounis 2023-05-04T03:48:51Z

Super well polished and complete game! Really liked all the mission descriptions and all of the pixel art :)

I did run into the bug others had mentioned where I finished all the missions but it still said I ran out of time - I think what happened is that at one point I was able to send the same people on two different missions, then the game constantly thought that one of those missions had not completed?

Regardless, great job!

Solaris Express by hulien22 2023-05-04T04:04:57Z

Thanks for all of the great feedback everyone! ---

@toppervideogames Re: not finding an ending - We did have plans to make the storylines a bit easier to follow / let players know when certain missions were ready, but ran out of time unfortunately :(

Some of the story characters will tell you to come back after doing some deliveries, so if you get stuck, revisiting some of the main planets (Terrus, Haldor, Alban) might help!

Rail Blazer by alanxoc3 2023-05-06T07:48:42Z

Fun game! I really liked the random map generation (were the maps calculated to be beatable every time?), but would have been nice to have an idea where the item spawns were at. That would help a lot in the beginning with planning out where to place the initial rails.

The art and the music are super well done - great work to your whole team!

30 Minutes Or Your Potion's Free by Rustywolf 2023-05-06T07:19:59Z

Always love deckbuilding games and this one is super well done! Really liked trying out the different combos - as a slay the spire player (seems like you are as well with all the defect references), I couldn't avoid making a ~~claw~~ (magic missile) deck, but also had fun with a lightning strike deck and a meteor strike deck.

Awesome job, only thing I'd really ask for is more levels and cards :)

30 Minutes Or Your Potion's Free by Rustywolf 2023-05-06T07:20:01Z

(oops accidentally double commented and don't know how to delete this..)

TIFY Boxes by mmisspelling 2023-05-11T02:23:43Z

Awesome game, really intriguing. The music and art really tie the whole thing together quite well

Machine Meltdown by Stefan Funke 2023-05-11T02:00:09Z

Always love fun bossfight games, really well done on this one! Definitely felt some hyperlight drifter vibes from this.

Some small feedback I had - would have been nice to be able to attack in the direction of the mouse - would be nice to allow for attacks while rolling, or if not, have some form of input buffering, where if you input an attack during the roll, then the character will attack as soon as the roll is complete - was a bit difficult to tell where the hitboxes where, especially with the boss's main body - ended up playing pretty safely in order to kill it

But overall great job! All the art and the sounds were especially well done!!

Mt. Deliverest by QwillaK 2023-05-04T07:04:05Z

Nice short little game! Had fun learning the controls, but had issues figuring out how to use the jump/dash? Liked all the art and the ragdoll physics - awesome work!!

LD54 — Limited Space

ROCKOUT by Nick Baggett 2023-10-03T04:06:39Z

Amazed to stumble on a fully functional multiplayer jam game, this was incredible and a ton of fun to play!

Also that intro is sweet :D

Minimus Brainius by hulien22 2023-10-03T04:37:50Z

Thanks for the feedback!

Re: Judging @compasslg @andrew-michienzi @trifectuh @nathmate

Judging is done based on a mixture of persuasiveness, logic, grammar and some dark magic (aka asking a large language model to pretend it is a judge for a children's debate contest).

---

Some tips for getting better scores - Try to use words like "Because" or "Since" to add explanations. - Use the free words to help add more structure to your argument. - Use the oracle to help give yourself a step up in the boss debates. - Use the forges to help get yourself those missing words.

Minimus Brainius by hulien22 2023-10-03T04:39:50Z

@trifectuh Thanks for the bug report, that bug should be fixed now! Turns out the map could generate more combat nodes than we had questions for on some of the acts...

LD55 — Summoning

Illusions of Grandeur by Koolruz 2024-04-18T04:45:25Z

Super fun puzzle game, very creative and well executed!! Great job on the level designs and tutorials too, did a good job of teaching new mechanics -- only thing I could ask for is more levels!

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Fate of the Dice by Joror 2024-10-20T22:55:19Z

Wow what an awesome game! Could definitely see this being developed into a full roguelike game.. If you end up working on this more, would love to see some events (eg give options to be able to remove dice from your deck) and perhaps some random items that give unique run advantages (eg more moves/rerolls/dice on board, extra health on the king, special spots on the board that give extra damage)

Great work!!

I always end up getting lost in these text adventures..

Had a great time with this one! Enjoyed all of the writing and humour, and the puzzles were well designed - great work!

Forest Tower Defense by shared 2024-10-21T08:12:38Z

Screenshot 2024-10-21 010949.png

Fun little tower defense game! Would have loved to see more tower variety/tower upgrades but understand the time constraints for compo - Great work!

Bug Attack 2 by Gurbx 2024-10-20T03:06:49Z

Really fun reverse tower defense game! Agree with the last commenter about wanting an easier to use UI, but other than that, the only thing I would want is more levels! Great job :)

Petit Peuple by olddadou 2024-10-20T00:04:52Z

Very nice and relaxing game! Would have like some kind of counter to keep track of how many I had found (and how many were remaining). Great work!

Tiny Ecosystem SimulatoR by Zliebowitz 2024-10-21T09:01:06Z

Awesome simulation game, wow do rabbits take over really quickly if you don't keep them in check! Had a good time balancing everything, but would have loved if the animals weren't able to cross the water (I wanted to try to keep some of the animals contained..).

Also great job on the music, parts of it reminded me of the night theme from terraria, which matches the game very well!

Tinies in the Woods by Anifan gelati 2024-10-16T07:48:31Z

Managed to beat the game - really liked all of the art and the various different creatures! Would have liked to see some kinds of stats for the creatures or some kind of "Battle results" screen to help figure out what is going on during fights. I was mostly just keeping a mental list of what creatures were strong against other creatures, but was a bit difficult when the fights had various different enemies.

Great work!

Bump League by soffu 2024-10-20T03:54:32Z

Pretty fun game! Would have loved a career mode, where you would start with a bad set of racers and not much money, then you gain money after each race which you can use to buy better drivers/car parts. That would allow for a feeling of progression and some extra strategy (eg I know that a rainy race is coming up, so I should invest in a driver who knows how to handle wet roads).

Great work!

Tiny Crowd by Kateryna 2024-10-20T03:38:00Z

Good puzzle game! My main strategy was to fill up the board so that I only removed tiles in one region, then I still had space everywhere to make lines and blocks. Well done!

Butterjar by Zz1p 2024-10-19T07:49:40Z

Great puzzle game, had a fun time beating all the levels! Would have loved an undo button, but other than that well done!

Butter`scape by Kurosawa Aoi 2024-10-21T08:00:57Z

Cool platformer with satisfying movement! Got stuck in the wall (by the heal on the hard route), but managed to win on my next try. Great work!

QUACK! by MS_Jonas 2024-10-21T08:34:18Z

Wow, great take on the match-3 formula! Really liked the idea of the ducks coming in from different directions - plus the little waddle animations and sounds really brought everything together :boom:

Great work!

LD57 — Depths

Fish's Tresure by JonaGameDev 2025-04-24T07:11:15Z

Fun game, surprised by all the content (lots of fish, good balance of upgrades, and an ending)! I assume you're norwegian, kinda funny to see NOK as the currency instead of $ or ¢. Would love to see some movement upgrades as well (a dash mechanic could also be fun to play around with) -- Great work on this!

fooDMancer by 314isme 2025-04-24T06:55:35Z

Super polished art and music, reminded me a lot of inscryption! Took me a bit to figure out how to see the orders coming in (having to click the mail + open the scroll is not very intuitive), but was a fun time learning the different combos. Great work!

LD58 — Collector

The Scab by Parxer 2025-10-09T02:57:34Z

Super cool game concept! Really liked the atmosphere set by the art and the bg sounds. Wasn't super clear to me that you had to go back to the boat at the end - spent a bit going around in circles until I went back and read the game description again..

This felt like the crossover I didn't know I wanted between Case of the Golden Idol + Disco Elysium - great work!

Can you give me a hand gesture? by She Wrote 2025-10-09T02:14:17Z

1 of 8,031,810,176 by torte478 2025-10-10T08:08:36Z

Loved the concept and great execution! Each section felt like the perfect length, just long enough to explore the further distance but not too long that it felt overly repetitive. Awesome work on this, had a fun time!

Nonstop Furry Trading by maneoliz 2025-10-10T08:22:42Z

Fun stock simulation game! Really liked the music and art! One minor point of feedback is that it would be nice if there was some news/gossip that affected different cards across rarities (eg animals that jump high are popular, then that could point to the frog and gazelle card) - that could add a bit more variety instead of always having everything linked to the same rarity.

Otherwise great job on this, had a fun time!

Collect or DIcE by Flinge 2025-10-09T03:18:23Z

I've played a number of dice-based roguelike games over the years (have even made one in the past as well), and I have to say that this one is by far one of the better ones!

The base mechanic of having slots for attacking/defending is nice and simple, and you expand on it nicely with the weapon/shield upgrades. The enemy designs are also quite nice and help offer some needed variety to each fight.

Would love to see this expanded on, perhaps adding in events that allow you to modify/remove dice, or adding extra passive items that can allow for more combos! Awesome work!

Death or Taxes by atsh 2025-10-10T07:52:38Z

Nice well polished game - was fun learning the villager patterns! The beginning few days felt a bit slow as there wasn't that much to do, but it ramped up nicely as the days went on. Might also have been a bit more interesting if the villagers had some randomness to their movement, but otherwise this was a great jam game! Well done!

🗦◎🗧 by torcado 2026-04-24T06:44:11Z

Super cool visual effects and fun upgrade system! Took me a bit to figure out the controls and how to enter/leave the hub (I guess you're trying to keep things minimal, but it is a bit frustrating).

Would love to see more incentive to explore further away from the hub (perhaps some far away structures with special enemies / upgrades), since currently you can just explore a bit then return and reset everything.

Also wonder how this would feel if the enemies were always present, and not just in spots that you scan..

Overall great work on this!

Amazing game, the music and voice acting are absolutely phenomenal!! Also really loved Winnerman's flowing hair animation

Had to go back and try to see how fast I could beat the game, 15 seconds seems pretty good :)

Really nailed the SNKRX style with the art and effects!

Had a fun time with this one, good balance of interesting upgrades and cool new enemies to keep the gameplay fresh throughout! Great work!

Great take on the theme! Really loved all the art and the music!

My only suggestion is that it feels like this game should have an ending, I kept going for a while since I thought there would be an ending but never ended up hitting one.. Alternatively, you could make the game get harder as it goes on (after you get the hang of it and learn all the character signals/colours, the only challenge is getting the signal on the cloud)

Awesome work on this, I had a fun time overall!!

@redphoenix2412 + anyone else having mic issues - I recommend recalibrating and tweaking the min db threshold in the top left. If its not picking you up, then you can lower that value more (you can also just sing louder). If its picking up too much, then you should try raising that value.

If you're singing, then your final min/max should be somewhere between 50-500 Hz (values will be higher if you try whistling or other sounds).

Really fun and fast-paced arcade game! Art, effects and music are all terrific! Struggled a lot with the controls at first, but slowly managed to wrap my head around them in the end.. definitely feels like this would be more intuitive with a controller using twin stick shooter controls.

Overall great work on this - got introduced to your games via protomous from the bigmode jam, and its nice to see that you consistently deliver high quality!

Super polished and filled with juice! Don't really get the theme aspect, but otherwise this is a great entry!

Fantastic game!! I really love deckbuilders, and this is such a fun twist on the genre! Would love to see how far this idea can go with more enemies and cards!

i love you, too by tolviere 2026-04-24T05:43:07Z

Very nice and charming game! The difficulty felt pretty much perfect, so really good job on the margin of error calculation
