WHAT A STUNNING GAME! Matchmaking, fun concept, good looking graphics and cool music! Was really fun
@Poroli thank you so much for playing our game!
Loved this one. The main menu alone is like great. I emplore you to keep working on it, reminds me of a non VR version of RumbleVR.
The link to download windows zip file is dead. Great graphic and perspective! Really looking forward to check it out!
Huh, I tried to download and it downloaded a 1kb file, is the download broken?
@foufoufou @pinky-toast Link should be good now, sorry about that! Not sure what happened...
As someone who went insane for Rumble VR and religiously watches Avatar. I couldn't be more excited for this game. I usually don't download jam games for safety reasons but I had to for this one
@AncientEntity thanks for playing! It was highly inspired by RumbleVR and ATLA, would love to add other elements in the future.
@Salaro I'm honored you chose to download our game! We love Avatar and are very inspired by Rumble.
I absolutely loved playing this game! It's something I was not expecting to see with this jam, the models are absolutely stunning and the gameplay is so simple and easy to understand! And a fun little thing I found is you can get out of the map, if you go to the edge of the arena and place a wall you can climb onto the wall in the exact middle of it to get proper footing and then run, jump, and double jump and you can get over the outer ledge.Screenshot_1470.pngScreenshot_1469.pngScreenshot_1468.png
The whole game is very cool, but the music is definetly something else, loved it! Nice idea and loved the Avatar theme, congrats everyone! The fact that this game is multiplayer really impressed me.
I am gonna say that this game makes me angry.
I've been working on a 1v1 multiplayer ability-based shooter for the better part of two years, and ya'll just went and knocked one out in a weekend.
Jerks.
This was amazing. I can't believe only 3 people made this considering how polished the menus and visuals were. The networking was surprisingly competent too, my friend and I had a blast.
Joking aside this is very very cool. Congrats on a solid entry. Art, music, UI, the fact that matchmaking actually works and the online feels decent... Knocked it out of the park
This game is amazing! I was able to get in a match against my friend and we had a great time playing Music is amazing, visuals are great, gameplay was fun I really felt like a pro bender
Thanks for all the awesome comments guys :) we appreciate it! @congeesetador I think I matched against you! Was fun seeing you trying to figure out how to get out of the arena.
Excellent game! I wish I had better ping with people and there we're more special moves, would definitely play more if this was the case, great job!
Love the artwork, great colors, great aesthetic. The gameplay felt a little confusing, I wasn't sure if I was damaging the opponent, might be good to have some more player feedback on the hits. Also a little AI to mess with while looking for an opponent would be good too ^^ I played with someone for a round, I died when I fell after the arena collapsed, I'm not sure if hitting with left click actually kills people, I feel like I hit him a bunch but he didn't die.
@nick-baggett It might have actually been me lol I was trying to do it without other players but I kept joining people before I could pull it off, I always try to get into places I'm not supposed to go in every game, the second I saw how the wall worked I immediately got that idea but I wasn't expecting it to actually work but it was fun being out of the map
So incredibly cool!!! fascinated by the visual effects!
Amazed to stumble on a fully functional multiplayer jam game, this was incredible and a ton of fun to play!
Also that intro is sweet :D
@hulien22 Thank you so much! Working on the music and intro video was such a blast!
looking.png Me looking for a worthy opponent.
Loved the game, it was really fun. My go to tactic was the jumping spray and pray or wall behind me as a guard. Also amazing into animation!
Wow! Great concept and execution! Congrats guys, this is awesome.
Reeeeeeeeally cool, I was feeling like Toph haha thank you so much
Couldn't find an opponent but WOW
It's a very enjoyable demo. I'd really like a fourth or even a fifth ability for the earthbender. Complemented with fire, water, and air elements, in 2v2, 3v3 modes, this could even become a popular multiplayer game.
@magalix Sorry you couldn't find someone! I have a lobby right now if you want to try some pvp :)
Your implementation and animations are just amazing. And I immediately give five stars when it comes to Avatar
OH MY! SURE A REALLY SPECIAL ONE HERE. COOL ART STYLE, COOL SOUND TRACK, LOVELY MENU, I JUST WISH I HAD FOUND SOMEONE TO PLAY WITH.
@ramon-camata Shoot, I'd be happy to hop on with you tomorrow, if you're around!
@ramon-camata I'll also hop on tomorrow if you want someone to play with! Just @me here a couple times and I'll probably see it :)
I had an absolute blast playing the game! It was a truly enjoyable experience from start to finish )))
I'd love to try this so if anyone wants to play, just hit me up.
@Renge I'll play with you after work later! :)
"Hey let's just go ahead and make a 1v1 competitive game with matchmaking and rollback, nbd" Incredibly impressive work for a jam game. Needs to be a full release. Thanks for playing with me on stream!
yoo this is great haha ^^ impressive stuff
@little-doctor-games Thanks so much for playing our game and jamming to the tunes. We had such a blast writing the songs for the game, and it made our day hearing "Didn't know this game took place at the warped tour!"
What to say that hasn't been said. Great idea and implementation, though having the whole arena drop at the end just results in whoever has their q ready winning! Well done
are you kidding me? this is an insane product for 72 hours! art and music and gameplay all go together well! I just wish there was some kind of single player mode, but i also recognize that making an AI would be a ton of work. even though i couldn't find an opponent, still huge points from me
Great job, realy polished, good idea, but the music doesn't go at all with the game and is terribly mixed , I'm not saying the music isn't good, I'm just saying that you didn't make a skateboarding game
Never before that I hate the music than the game. The topic should be tense not rocky teen from the 80s, it should imply to games like skateboarding or some sort of parkour sports. The rest is meh, it does fit the theme. The sound effect is too annoying for my ears. Can you like use a drum effect instead of torturing me with the guitar sound effect with the music is on going in the background? You can ask the band to compose another tense song that fit the game overall art and style. Like idk, use medieval Asian musical instruments.
Nice visualls, cool sound and interesting gameplay. Although nobody was online, so I was not able to really engage with the mechanics.
Incredible game !
Looks and sounds really perfect! Such a game is the steam indie level! But unfortunately i coundn't found an opponent :( My respect for these 3 talanted devs!
@mindhijacker Shoot, bummed you personally didn’t dig the music! We have the option of turning it off in the settings!
@thealexwolf @me today and I’ll hop on with you!
@mindhijacker sorry you disagree with the music choices, but it’s called “rock out” for a reason. I think the game wouldn’t be the same without the rock tracks. I do agree the the sound effects can get repetitive in the game. Thanks for the feedback and for playing our game!
An absolutely great game. The feel and visuals all around were very nice to look at. The color and UI fit well. I love that the theme involves Avatar since that's one of my favorite series to watch too. Lastly though, it's pretty cool that you guys even added multiplayer. Good job!
That was super fun! I really like the intro before the Main Menu. It did take a while for me to find an opponent but once I did, OH BOY!
Always a challenge making a multiplayer game for a Game Jam, both in terms of complexity and trying to ensure people find others to play with. That said, I poked around solo - Loved the models, and really loved the particle effects of the spells (i.e. the way the little boulders bounced on the ground after the shot). The music was obviously epic, as was the main menu and how it shifts when you load to different screens - very cool. Were those guitar chords being played with each spell? Overall a very polished game :)
Dude i really liked your game and ideea, but i coudn't find someone to try it at max. But I will call some friends and try out to fight someone.I liked the grapichs and the sounds effect.I think your game have potential do became more famous, so good luck.
Fun game to play with a friend. Music is good and the game works well and did not have any bugs that we could find. Good work makeing a multiplayer game in this time.
Cool game concept, played against friend. Maybe could have been even more fast paced, I got used to the controls pretty fast. Music was good but maybe a little repetitive in the long run. I didn't face any bugs during our play.
Anyway, nice work for making a multiplayer game this polished in this time!
@tomssuli Thanks for playing our game! I definitely agree, would love to polish the music and gameplay more in the future, we barely finished in time for submission haha. We actually have another track or two recorded, but I couldn't implement it in time unfortunately. Maybe we can upload all the tracks to soundcloud or something since I wouldn't want to add them out of respect for the jam.
@nick-baggett Or you can do a DLC of the game, that you pack separately.
It's not unheard of that people make separate advanced editions that they explicictly tell NOT to rate for the competition. At least I'm going to add the missing stuff in a separate version of our game, as our great team made so much awesome material that would otherwise all go to waste.
@tomssuli Good point! I should definitely do that, I do want to try and make this a full release when I have some free time and that would be a great way to test some of the new abilities we made that didn't make it in the jam.
Hey, I’m the host of the Ludum Dare score chasers tournament for this jam
Wanted to ask for score chasers if you were fine with me playing some gameplay of your game in the background in the waiting period / intermission. In the waiting period its going to cycle between gameplay of a bunch of different games in the background (with music from games in the jam playing as well)
@ategon Hey there! Thats fine with me :) I think that sounds awesome and I’d appreciate the exposure!
Loved the cel-shaded graphics, especially the particle effects tying everything together. Managed to play against a buddy and we actually got pretty competitive with the system. Only two moves (plus jumping), but you can still do plenty of player expression with it. The fact it seamlessly matchmade us was very impressive. Good job!
This was awesome. I appreciated that it was multiplayer (which worked really well, btw). The graphics, UI, effects, and music were all really nice. Not to mention the gameplay was really fun, despite the limited move set. 5/5.
@deadjolly @cody-raethke Thanks so much for the kind words and for playing our game! I’m glad you enjoyed it, even with the limited amount of moves we were able to make for the Jam :)
Couldn't find anyone else to play with but the bits I loved the things I could mess around with. Loved the insane level of polish in the UI, the particle effects and the animations. The music was great and actually really fit the vibe - kinda whisked me back to the mid 2000s. Nice work on putting all this together, would be keen to experience the multiplayer gameplay at some point!
@sleepystudios ping me and let me know if you'd like to hop on tonight! Would love to play a couple matches with you
