Never before that I hate the music than the game. The topic should be tense not rocky teen from the 80s, it should imply to games like skateboarding or some sort of parkour sports. The rest is meh, it does fit the theme. The sound effect is too annoying for my ears. Can you like use a drum effect instead of torturing me with the guitar sound effect with the music is on going in the background? You can ask the band to compose another tense song that fit the game overall art and style. Like idk, use medieval Asian musical instruments.

gg, I think making a map UI indicate the infection like a quick map, timing of the hive eating the floor should laxed. Another thing is that the infestation should be like behind the player and ruining the door the unleash the enemy from behind would make the experience more exciting than having to rushing before the floor is lava. I think you can script better than this given more time and critics from people. :)

I will be blunt here. I don't have great experience with it. It did not capture jump scare horror but rather using player's panic as horror is very cheap. Music is great but the voice effect is kinda annoying me. I think it would be the best for the game is not to copying what RE did. Make one or two undefeatable enemies, using resources to trap the enemies or something to give you a slight advantage in escaping. Nails, caltrops, slippery oil or salt, anything is your sky limit.

For the solo fellow like me, you have earned certain respect from me with the idea. it is closer to the theme than most game. Your humor is kinda a bit dry but there was attempt. I would recommend you try Blender for 3D modelling(it is helpful when you can just make a random object then shove it into your game), for music, you can loop around with let's say 20 notes( I also recommend you to make some in case when you needed the most, believe me, I took 2 random piece of my previously made music when I need the most). For music maker, I have been using Musescore for quite some time(7 years now). Video game is a form of art where you can hide things that you don't want the players to see. Learn some dirty tricks and you will find making games a lot of ease.

Can't even run. If you make a c++ game, maybe consider asking your non computer science major friend or running a VM to test if the game is even running. Your only audio feels literally stock wind from sort of audio website, at least attempt to make a background music or something. If this game ever submitted to my computer graphic lecturer, he would grade you as fail like 0/10.

The yellow book is bugged. The solution is kinda meh. The theme is close but no cigar, you capture claustrophobia but not really the space being limited to the player but rather you made the game with limited space. It should apply to player not you. Overall, I think that you could make a better game than this if you understand the theme properly

this game simulates an IRL problem of goods and people distribution. I like it, but still I don't feel very innovative in my personal opinion. I did have some fun and it does fit the theme limited space. I think you can make some game upgrades like limited fuel capacity, passenger's patience and popular pick up and drop off spots. I think these features are possible but it is just hard to balance out tho :)

You need a key to hold down shooting direction like holocure and also kinda lacking music really hurt the game so bad. Gameplay wise, you have done great, you have objective but kinda forgot the gameplay loop. I had to close and reopen the game. I hope you guys can do better next time or ask for someone with music taste to make music for you. I am very happy to see a decent working game. tldr, I have 3 disappointments: the loop(I did my game alone from java IDE and have proper loop), music(I made my own), control(if you want to copy or learn something, gotta do the whole package)

I think if you can boot up minecraft or java based application. Or another option is to use launch4j, since I compiled the whole game in java 1.8, it should be ease to be used but beware, I hate launch4j ruining the game loop tho

@stealthorc , I wish that I could think of that early. for visual effect of how many rocks you carry or can carry is kinda implementable but I didn't have enough time to do so(my first uploaded game is the kinda the base code for this game, but I have to erase the hearts lines due to the fact that is if I implement it, I have to circle around it which kinda not good for my time and visually). Another key point you did say that is aiming, I could have done it with a mouse, right click to pick up, left to shoot, the sprite is rotated according to the mouse location to it then, I had to implement another function for pathing of that bullet which is kinda easy and kinda easy to test(just put some x+=px and y+=ny). tldr, just blame my dum dum for it. After the voting ends and this receives lets say top 10, I would test your idea and upload as a separated game with these 2 upgraded things. I might also add an enemy that shoots back. right now, I have another project that has been dragging for so many months. A bullet hell game inspired by Touhou project (please don't sue me, ZUN san. I made everything from scratch). the only thing left to do with that project is data and janky bs about save files.

@lincolnsalles , picking up and shooting stones are the points of the game, it is supposed to be that hard. Well, you made a fair point about music, I did grab a random premade music of my own. I did that like months ago while trying fiddling with horror cave based music. I feel kinda sorry for a bit off cheap play. tl:dr, I am trying to learn from ZUN by not making e-zi modo gamu. If I want to kill the fun and ramp up the hell, I would make smaller enemies and 5 of em in 1 wave. Thank for review :)) EDIT: it was 2 random pieces of music that I made before hand. Eto, ehe ;)

@cardboardmoon, I said in the instructions clearly: only movement and shooting are not free, dropping does not cosume stamina since I am not that kind of sadist. SFX, I think it would be beneficial too, well, it is simple as implement 2-3 sfx for enemy and player, shooting, death and idk what. thank for comment :).

@powerofsin , it was made in 48 hours so I did have panic about certain bug about enemy hit box being clumped into 1 so I just gave up and mark the commander with green dot. Yeap, that is it. the mechanic for the enemy here is basically random destination on the board. I have been working on that danmanku game for months, I have to say I am still figuring whether doing cheaply with math graph or coordination point loop. Tbf, I copied most of the code from that project and cut some slacks in order to optimize it. I can copy most of the basics of touhou like life, spellcards, bombs but I don't want to copy the scoring and grazing mechanic since I prefer my game to have another style(also due to my laziness too, I don't want to code the graze hitbox part). Thank for the review.

Edit: I will not focus on this game because both my laziness and also I have that project on going with me.

First timer here, I had it worse than you pal. I had to make a game under 48 hours due to one day being the exam. I made all the art in 48 hours, browsing through my file of premade music made by me, fixing technical issues and worst of all, I did my game in java IDE. Thankfully, I have picked 2 random of my own pieces, I had code structure that works. Anyway, enough complain, your game is nice tho. 8 Bit music is not that bad, but it feels trippy when you are high on drug kind of music than relaxing tone. The cat is well, a cat. It is a shame that you don't have the menu. maybe you can make it as a separate scene since I worked on Unity before(not UE). I think that you should go for 2D if you work alone and also dislike big file like me. 3D files are quite heavy for people to download the game. The worth for downloading such big file game is kinda killing the game a bit, the replayable and mechanic are limited. But hey, games are supposed to be fun a relaxing :)

Good game, it is a shame the game over isn't over for the player as one suffers through eternity of getting impaled by spikes, hit by missles and the beep beep sounds. It is a smooth game, all you need left is menu, game over screen that doesn't put player through suffering. I made the game in java IDE like you. I don't see what is with the theme. Music is okay but I don't know what the hell am I supposed to do with this game? What is the objective? What is the goal? There is no goal, am I just standing there being a tree? And somehow, this game sounds too similar to my life. You should consider that you are kinda way too out of the orbit for the theme. The key word is "Limited Space"
