Pretty fun! But unfortunately too broken (Easy to get tons of energy)

Pretty fun! But unfortunately too broken (Easy to get tons of energy)
It's a nice game :grinning:, but it needs more features and mechanics like generators that convert things to energy etc.
the problem was I didn't know where to go after tutorial
adiicting and hard. But awesome idea! :grinning:
amazing graphics and gameplay!
it was hard to get used to controls but still good job! :grinning:
bit clunky, but other than that good job!
It's weird and random but in the same time it's so good! good job
without tutorial it's hard to understand what to do
Thank you for this game! It was fun playing it :grinning:
little too annoying because high difficulty and no checkpoints, but it felt unique!
nice clicker! but tutorial would help a lot!
Interesting....
Wow! This is amazing. Great graphics and amazing polish. Good Job!
Very simple game that could definitely have some more depth to it. But otherwise pretty nice!
Interesting game, and fun.
But I think it needs some more improvement.
Incredible! Cool mechanic, Amazing sound effects and Smoothly executed. Could be a even more great easily if you just added more depth to it though
**Amazing artwork!**
Gameplay on the other hand is not that good and it felt *unfair* that enemy artist was so overpowered.
Nice game! :grinning: Good idea and I like that you can upgrade graphics, but I think it needs more polish and depth to it. Oh.. and also animations would have been nice!
Nice little game! Musics were a bit too intense though..
This was really fun experience! In the beginning I didn't know what to do, so a tutorial would have been cool!
Overall very innovative and cool!
**Amazing music** and game was nice and fun. Good Job!
Cool graphics, nice mechanic and awesomely done! :grinning:
please post your game, so everyone can play it.
Incredible atmosphere, Beautiful and emotional story. I just loved it, easily one of the best scores for mood.
downloads?
Great art and I like the graphics, sound effects feel satisfying and music is good. Gameplay felt good and idea was fantastic! Great game
Nice graphics and music, it felt too chaotic though.
Cool art style and fun idea, but in my opinion maybe too simple. :grinning:
Funny and humorous! (I don't like :coffee: though...) :grinning:
Cool game and awesome graphics! Audio needs improvement though..
Nice idea, but I think it needs something more to it than just bouncing and collecting food. I think it needs different levels and upgrades etc. and a good polish.
Very simple little game, but I don't see a point in purchasing anything
Interesting idea, it felt too unrealistic though.
It's so simple yet addicting and fun! :grinning: The bugs actually make the game more funny and enjoyable and the music is repetitive yet it fits the game nicely.
Fun mechanic, Smooth gameplay, smoothly executed, satisfying audio, incredible graphics and interesting atmosphere!
Incredible!
Unique graphics and concept was nice, but it felt bit Rushed...
Awesome game! :grinning: Art style was cool and I liked the sound effects. Just a little more depth to it and it would be even more better!
To @jfraser314 ___
> I can’t sprint and jump at the same time.
You need to take off your Trashsucker first.
> I can’t get past the first part
You probably left some trash somewhere or haven't emptied your garbage to a waste bin.
To @moski ____ Thank you so much for your feedback. I really appreciate it! :whale:
@mess110 Unfortunately no
Very simple but interesting little game. Hoped more depth than just shooting bandits though...
Amazing, just amazing!
Very well done, and soo fun! I feel so free in this game! Simple, yet so fun!
Good Job!
Cool idea! I feel nausea after playing this though.
The mechanic was cool and the sound effects were funny, but closer to 100 score sound gets really loud. Graphics improvement would have made it even more enjoyable, and also I feel the game needs a reason to get higher score(because **at the moment it feels like higher score = worse**)
**Amazing!** Very innovative and unique, Gameplay was one of the most funniest and entertaining I have seen before on ludum dare 40! Great Job! :grinning:
Very unique and fun mechanic, even though I was confused about the tutorial. **But overall very nice little game!** :grinning:
Nice, but I didn't know what to do or where to go. Tutorial would have been nice.
This is amazing! Good work, I didn't except it to be so fun! Great concept and awesomely executed.
Smooth camera, models fit well and music gives more depth. :grinning: But only 4 very easy enemies and 2 levels seems too easy, More depth and difficulty would have made it even more cool!
Very simple game, maybe even too simple... the sound effects add so much depth though
Interesting game! Characters looked clunky and weird in my opinion though...
Itch.io link doesn't work, Sorry! :slight_frown:
Nice idea! But music was annoying (clearly copy of megalovania) Overall good job on your first ludum dare! :grinning:
Awesome 3d-pixel effect and low health effect looks really cool too. gameplay was nice and topdown shooter sits well with design. I found lots of bugs though(like movement clipping when colliding with objects) and having low health feels too overpovered.
Overall nice action game with good visuals but needs a bit more depth to it.
Gameplay felt clunky and unfinished, graphics needs lots of improvements and audio is just horrible.
I'm sorry didn't like it, it felt unfinished prototype of top-down shooter. :unamused:
I love it!
Very simple but Unique gameplay and Simple artstyle fits perfectly with it! ...Music was a bit too repetitive and the gameplay.
--- *But for a ludum Dare game, Well done!*
Pretty neat! _Loved_ those sound effects, they really built the game feel and graphics were nice too! Core gameplay loop was boring though..
Well.. The game was too short and I didn't know what was I doing the whole time (still go to the exit) **But apart from that, I think the game would evolve to something nice if it only had more time!** :grinning:
Pretty basic platformer, I really liked that shader tho!
Basic match-three.. ...Well, at least you made a game!
Pretty nice little game, Reminds me of Plants vs Zombies! Of course needs more _depth_.
Amazing polish! :astonished: **One of the best ones in this Ld! :exclamation: **
Very nice and unique game!
Would have definitely needed more depth (like more houses, modes etc..)
Very nice graphics but everything else just seems rushed!
Cute Graphics, I like that. Gameplay wasn't frustrating or anything, but I just couldn't figure out how the happiness increases. Very unique and intresting!
**Simple but Cool!** Liked the particles and simplistic graphics.
--- But the sound effects were bit too sharp for my taste..
@kinghamster **Please note** that in order for people to notice your game, You need to rate others games (You'll get coolness points, and people will see your game!)
I think it needs more polishing. **But well done You made a game!** :video_game:
Wayy to hard in my opinion.. Sorry :unamused:
Amazing, it gives me those bastion vibes! Also reminds me of Minit.
Interesting to see a tower defense game made out of this theme
Really engaging game with a well-made atmosphere! Would've been nice to have images in the cards tho. :smile_cat:
Interesting design!
Gotta say this is clearly the best designed game I have seen in this jam so far! :hushed:
Awesome, I loved the story! The whole game was jut a bit short maybe
@designernap It should be working now.
@bartosz I used Game Maker Studio 2 with gml. Thanks for playing!
Those spikes were hilarious! Cool take on the theme, I especially loved the story and characters.
Very unique entry!
I think this game suits more the "Running out of time" theme, than the current one.
After I realized the point of the game it was quite nice! Though, I have no idea how is it going to be beatable...
Interesting game, maybe little too hard and audio would have been nice too!
@tony-redmer It works now, Weird...
Nice story, definitely interesting!
Really well made minigames and hilarious!
I don't get the point of floaty controls, But I think this was a nice entry nonetheless. Also could've been nice to have some feedback on enemy health or if its been hit.
@firellon Yes, actually the player can fly with extra '*jumps*'.
Somehow this was an emotional experience, touching. Very moody atmosphere!
Weird but hilarious, kinda like a stealth game.
The atmosphere and artstyle helped style out the game's aesthetics. I liked this point and click type *extracting*
The tutorial text would have been better as a non-text tutorial and the text speed was slower than expected.
The difficulty seems to spike almost exponentially towards the end, making it quite hard
Never heard of churros before, had to look it up. a bit short and the last part definitely the hardest, but it was pretty nicely done overall.
The amount of planting pots turned out to be innecessary after just two produces enough food while you scavenge lumber. The effect of water constantly rising definitely was an interesting mechanic and added suspense to the survival experience.
I discovered a game-breaking bug that makes every single package stuck and fixed it immediately. (now live in version __1.2__) __If you're playing 1.1, update to 1.2.__
Anyways, __the 'tutorial' might seem long but it was intended to be so.__ I wanted to make it more immersive and story-rich, so consider it to be a story game as well. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
Relaxing ambience, very well done ending. However there could have been more than just moving in terms of gameplay.
Did you make the graphical assets yourselves during the jam? Music? Really solid hell theme throughout the game. Kinda reminded me of super meat boy, because of the atmosphere as well as the level design and difficulty. 😀 I don't know if it was just me, but the hole hitbox could have been a bit bigger.
@maximegammaitoni Well damn, great job! I'm impressed!
Atmosphere is amazing, but to be honest there wasn't much of any gameplay and the story was quite short too. Such graphics and audio when made by one person in such a short timespan is always a great feat, so good job on that! I hope you consider making it a full game, I can already see the emotional value it might bring.
I don't know if it was intended, but I could walk right through the final door after filling the cups.
It was quite easy to dodge the enemies, but the bullets felt weak when multiple rounds were needed in order to kill even one enemy. My two biggest minuses are the lack of any audio and way too many boxes everywhere (literally hundreds). Also more variety for the floors might have made the game more interesting. Good job finishing the jam, it's always a feat to make it on time! 😃
This was surprisingly fun, there was quite a lot of things that interacted well with the core mechanic. There was only one place where I got stuck for a long time and that was after the first checkpoint, it was more intuitive to go down to the place where you couldn't proceed. However, each new concept was neatly introduced and the levels ascended in difficulty steadily without awfully sharp spikes. Great job, when expanded further this could make a potentially good Celeste-like platformer!
Very interesting take on the theme, it's so staisfying to find a tile you brake exposes a huge area. I thought that the jumping wasn't necessary since you'll presumably go deeper. The sounds gave it a nice touch, but music would've been nice. Good job on finishing the jam!
Interesting idea for some tiles to be affecting the game negatively. It was quite unsatisfying though because your debt gets bigger even though you did pretty well. But this might be something you intended to do.
I agree with the comments above
The intro cutscene was cute and I really liked the music in the level. It was an interesting idea for the line between the friends, which kept me from going anywhere I could. I could definitely see this being expanded possibly to a full game. You could introduce new mechanics that relate to the oxygen supply line, like for example a new oxygen source or swinging mechanic.
First of all you should all play and rate others games, because that way your game will be shown to more people and you will reach 20 ratings which will let you have your results. You should also add description of the game and thumbnail etc. The game was ok, didn't know what was happening at first but then realized the story unfolding. It was clear that you wanted to give an emotional experience, but the unclarity of the controls, gameplay and story events hindered the impact. Good job on finishing your first LD game though!
This was pretty good, for 24 hours there's a lot of levels! There wasn't anything innovative on the gameplay as it is just the usual platforming mechanics, but you did execute them very well which is a huge plus. Loved the coherent pixel scaling and nice music. One thing that bothered me during the gameplay was the restrictively small camera view, I couldn't see the necessary information to make a jump in some situations. But surprisingly well done for 24 hours! :grinning:
I've never seen graphical style like this before, very unique! Very well done atmosphere, especially the descending was nicely made.
The artstyle you went with was interesting, I could see the effort put into those backgrounds. Gameplay was a bit generic, but given that it's made by one person over a weekend it's not bad. Definitely the strongest part of the game was it's cartoony artstyle, I would definitely like to see you making graphics for more LD games as well!
a Great mechanic that suits the theme amazingly well, very much celeste-like in terms of the levels. Was hoping for more levels, but that's a good thing!
I didn't know exactly how things worked out at the beginning and thought that the petals were attecked by the clouds, but later after re-reading the tutorial I figured it out. However I didn't quite get the function of the wheelbarrow or the animals.
I liked the gameplay contrast between defending attackers during the attack phase and the phase where you just cut down crops to gather resources. Very reminiscent of Oak Defenders, actually. But I would have liked there to be more interesting encounters during the harvesting, maybe some sort of enemies or challenges. Or even rare items popping out of the bushes occasionally.
As for the aesthetics. The color pallette was an interesting choice for this type of a game, but it weirdly fits it. Though I felt the graphics to be lacking, everything was communicated with visual cues pretty well. Music and audio could have been better, but considerng that there wasn't audio person working on the project(or was there?), it's impressive.
Good to see you back on LD, @barret!
@barret Oh, that is so cool. She did quite well, for just starting out!
Great job! I don't know if there's a game exactly like this already and you've got the idea from there, or that you came up with this(in which case amazing job!), but this is very polished and well made
I couldn't figure out how to shoot fireballs at will, it fel like it was completely random when it registers the key press for the fireball. At the begining the diffrent HUDs on top of each other gave me an headache and I needed to restart and read the controls multiple times so that I could finally close all of the different HUDs. I couldn't figure out how to earn more money, though the level system was more intuitive (every 10 seconds). It should have been told somewhere when you get new levels and how to get money.
If the fireball shooting had some logic I could understand and some other mechanics were explained, I could imagine myself playing it longer than what I did now.
The grey arrow camouflaged too well with the stone tiles and only WASD movement had animation. The gameplay was fairly easy when you just keep on running, which could have a penalty to keep you from constantly running. Also the can throwing made some parts unnecessarily easy and the sound waves didn't have a noticable effect on the gameplay for me. The music created very mysterious, hazy but unnerving atmosphere which I really liked! I also think the graphics fir fairly well for it's night-styled atmosphere. Would have liked there to be more sounds, though.
I think the gameplay is fairly interesting and can be axpanded for more engaging and immersive experience!
Unfortunately I think the timer isn't syncing with the changes. Also because after each new addition the older items aren't shuffled and the new item has different tint to it, it makes the gameplay less about memorizing and more about just looking for different colored pedestald and clicking it.
Good job with 3D models for a solo jam, but the gameplay was quite lacking.
The limited moving window size is a neat idea, but made for annoying gameplay due to not knowing who's shooting and from where. Not knowing where to go took away from the experience I had.
I don't know if it's the same with a 1080p monitor but with my 4k monitor everything seemed really small. I think it might be improved with the ability to know where to go and how to naviagte the level in an interesting way. I do think the ascii art style fits well with this sort of game
This was very good! Not gonna lie, I spent about an hour playing it, the music and the progression made it very engaging. I haven't really seen anything like this before, so I was thrilled by the unique crafting mechanic.
The game is begging for some goals to do in-game as many times I felt stuck and didn't know what I had made and what I should aim for. It seemed like there would be more rooms after the plant room, but I couldn't get there. At the end I got about 40 unique summons, but the stuckness and the lack of direction put me off.
Some sort of of book of previous summons with nice flavour text would've added to the expreience so much. Great job, I've rarely played LD games this engaging and time consuming.
Many things were quite confusing and I spent like 10m trying to figure out how to cook, but then checked the video. I got to the 'end' eventually, but it was lackluster. I think the game would've benefited from a tutorial and less pixelated graphics.
Interesting idea, it was satisfying when the area got bigger and you could summon bigger guys. I think it got exponentially easier the further you got, would have loved to see the knights upgrading their attack forces. So more knights and different tiers of knights (have different defenses against pushbacks)
I liked the game loop, however the game gets exponentially more crowded and easier as you plant trees. They basically break the balance, as you can just go around the kingdom and mash the plant tree button indefinitely. The game needs to limit the amount of instances considerably. Maybe have different levels of leaves and bones for different values, so instead of picking 100 leaves you pick 1 leaf lvl 2. It's good to cap the summon amount as well for more sustainable gameplay progression that doesn't go out of hand.
I doubt the graphics were actually made during the jam. If you've used asset store graphics, remember to opt-out of the graphics category when submitting the game. This will ensure fair game jam for everybody
I thought the idea was cool, but the game's way too hard because you die instantly. After the first 5 skulls there's a huge difficulty increase which was killed me the most. Maybe you could pick up hearts to regain health you've lost?
The game definitely needs more gameplay as it was mostly just reading text. I do think the story was well written though, it's unfortunate LD doesn't have a "story" category.
This needed a tutorial and audio, because I didn't know what to do. Also, Bullets don't do anything. ---
Felt incomplete :unamused:
the option 1 is offscreen
Nice idea! Needs audio, polish and a computer to play against.
---
Not ready
#### Art was nice, and I enjoyed the game & the cake! :grinning: --- However it needs to be more clear how to kick football to different directions, because I struggled at the first time it needed to be used.
Gameplay was very unique and everything was clear, however more depth would have made Bully-logy more interesting.
Well made! But the I think it needs more depth to it. Oh! ...And also I didn't see the game fit for the theme.
Crazy amount of polish, Good aestethics, and the music gorgeous! Well done!
Very Interesting mechanic and the graphics were gorgeous! But Of course it needs more levels
Interesting and simple game!
---
I think it would be better if there would be even some audio, and also "Hole In One" is close to impossible to get,
because it would be cool to get "Hole I one"
@Temmy
Graphics, Polish, Audio & Pretty much everything!
@derlassehenrich Fixed!
Interesting and fun game! enjoyed the music aswell
Nice mix of genres and the music is very funny!
Really funny Idea! I like the Multitasking and hectic moments
Interesting game! The music was good, graphics need improvement though.
I can't launch the game for some reason on windows 7 64-bit. :slight_frown:
It just tells me error.
wait i'll try again @MrSnakeYOHOHO
@MrSnakeYOHOHO I got it working!
#### Avast(antivirus) was just blocking it. So I turned it temporarily off, then launched the game and it worked!
Really funny! :D
Nice little game! :) I just don't understand how this fits the theme
Nice game! But Many things seemed confusing and there was couple of bugs.
Pretty good, But you can always win if you just mash up.
Idea was good, But gameplay and other things felt bit clunky.
Very interesting ending and mysterious. Good job!
Nice idea, but can be easily exploited.
Nice mix of genres! :grinning:
Very fun and challenging! ...But I hate those babies.
Very interesting idea, there could have been even some music though.
Interesting idea! Well executed
Humorous little Visual novel! :grinning:
#### I just can't understand how do I get past yuuki?
