The Tree of Bounty by gelisam 2019-04-30T22:45:34Z
Interesting take on Conway's game of life, and very fun to figure out how to get to berries. I'd have to say next time to keep the recorder out of the sound track.
Well done!

Interesting take on Conway's game of life, and very fun to figure out how to get to berries. I'd have to say next time to keep the recorder out of the sound track.
Well done!
Very unique game, and fun to figure out. After a certain point I was just able to mash the up and down arrows to get infinite height. The graph was nice. Capture.PNG Only suggestion I would have is a sound that gets higher as you fly higher.
Well done!
Very cool, only problem I ran into was sometimes the coins got stuck on ledges, and I wasn't able to get them back!
Overall, very impressive, good art, animation, and music.
A fun little romp for sure, I loved the Reaper sprite at the end!
I enjoyed the graphics but believe more content would really let this shine. Well done!
I'm not quite sure how to do anything, but I enjoyed the simple visuals and the inclusion of music was nice.
I admire your ambition, and the game + trailer were definitely funny! If you keep at it after the jam, it could turn into something.
Well done. I liked the graphics but the controls were a bit floaty, mouse aiming would have been a good feature.
Looks great, sounds great, has interesting gameplay, and is funny! I think your team did amazingly well! Only complaint I have is that the elevator ride to the boss wasn't long enough!
Good concept and well executed. I liked the look of it, and the music was nice in the background. My only complaint was it was difficult to tell I was hitting any vegetables, and there were too many options at the start.
Overall, very impressive, well done!
The game looks great! I unfortunately got stuck in the ground and couldn't get out. The music was nice and not too intrusive, and despite not much dialog, I loved the characters.
Well done!
@annie-owl It was actually in the middle of town that I got stuck. I was using the booster legs and jumped from the tower.
Loved the game, this is what I love to see from LD. The graphics were nice, even if the alien ship was a bit bare, and levels were satisfying to finally complete!
Well done!
Cool little game. I loved the upgrade mechanic, and all the graffiti on the walls. The sound and art design are both good as well! The only thing I would have liked is either and upgrade to jumping, or make the platforming a little easier, it at least felt like I needed almost pixel perfect jumps
Well done!
@tfdiaz Thanks for the review! I'm proud of the music, this LD was the first time I tried adding music, and I think it turned out well!
@landosystems Thanks for reviewing! I tried to separate my days into gameplay/graphics, and I think it payed off in the way the game looks. I think I'll be keeping this strategy in the future.
@vulpineblazeyt Thanks for the review! I wanted it to feel like a big futuristic city, and I'm glad to hear it feels that way.
@michaelsonbritt Thanks for playing and reviewing! I agree that there is no real way to play around the enemies, other than killing them before they hit you. As for what getting hit does, it simply reduces the timer to the next sense loss, I should have mentioned that somewhere!
@nico-fallosch Thanks for playing and reviewing! I'm glad people are enjoying the animations I made for the character, I felt like I spent way too much time on him, but it looks like it paid off.
@konsumopfer77 Always look on the bright side! Thanks for playing!
@banzi Thanks for playing and reviewing!
@annie-owl Thanks for playing and reviewing! I agree that I should have put some time into ways to actually avoid the bullets, rather than just killing them before they can hit you. I wanted to add ducking, but never got around to it.
@duke Thanks for playing and reviewing! I do wish I could have made the combat more dynamic, but unfortunately I didn't get all of Monday to work on it. Next LD, I think I'll take it off! The consequence of getting hit isn't obvious for sure, but it just reduces the timer to the next sense/ability loss.
@purrseus Thanks for playing and reviewing. I'm proud of the sound and art, as this LD I tried to put time into those! As for finishing the game, yes it is possible. You can hit 'V' to show the map. This isn't talked about in the instructions because it's told to you once you complete the game, so you can view the whole map. That should help you find the way to go!
@wdebowicz Thanks for playing and reviewing!
@caveman54 Thanks for playing and reviewing! I'm sorry it didn't run well for you, it's probably because game maker isn't the most optimized engine! Glad you still had fun though!
@dan-colman Thanks for playing and reviewing! I agree that theme is kinda loosely related, I got too focused on the gameplay and art!
@taqoshaq Thanks for playing, reviewing, and getting me over the 20 review point! I agree that the sense loss is more of a "cool" feature. The only one I tried to make affect gameplay was leg strength by reducing jump height, but that ended up making you not be able to finish the game! Definitely something to think about if I continue working on it. Thanks again!
@hugimugi7 Thanks for playing and reviewing! I admit that I should have been more clear about how to finish the game. If you keep climbing up, you should find it. There's no need to kill all the robots!
@beastiebeastie Thanks for playing and reviewing. I'm glad you enjoyed the art and music, I put a lot of time into those this time around. I agree the game can be difficult, and a time-increasing pickup would be a good idea. Thanks for the feedback.
@314owen Thanks for the review! I appreciate the positive feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
@zoneoutapps Thanks for playing! I'm glad you liked the idea!
@peterfonts Thanks for playing and leaving a review! The camera idea would definitely be an improvement. It went across my mind briefly during development, but I promptly forgot it! I'll definitely keep better camera work in mind for future projects.
Thanks!
Well done! The shooting mechanics were clean, but I think a few more items in the shop and more enemy variety would make this better!
Very interesting! A nice idea and getting the achievements was fun. Well done!
Well done! I liked the fact that you implemented random dungeon generation, and when I finally realized that wonky shadow under me was some sort of demon that could shoot projectiles! I would have liked if the knight moved a little faster, and if it could tell you what the items did.
Very cool concept! The gameplay was enjoyable and the mechanic worked well. Does the ninja scroll overwrite the romantic swordsman? If so, I guess I wasted a life! For the floor sprite, I think removing some of it would be a simple way to make it look better, I just think there was too much going on in the floor.
Well done!
Well done! I enjoyed the music, but the sound effects were a little shrill and loud. In addition it was hard to tell which lane coins were in. Good little game.
Very well done. A fun and interesting experience. A good take on the theme and on platforming.
I would suggest is make the turning a little less floaty, it was quite easy to overshoot a turn, as well as letting you roll backwards.
Well done!
Well done! While simplistic, everything that is here is solid. I had issues with the sound getting incredibly loud sometimes, but that's the only issue. For improvements, if the pigs destroyed any coins they touched that would give players a reason take to speed, so they can grab the coins faster.
Very cool!
Well polished, and an amazing concept! I think there were too many controls though, maybe only have one available to buy at a time, and it changes periodically?
Overall, well done and very impressive!
I enjoyed the conversations but found the text resizing while it was written really disorienting.
Definitely a fun little romp! Once I learned I could stack monsters on top of each other, it got a lot easier! Captur2e.PNG Looks like the money stops displaying properly when you get too rich!
Well done!
Cool idea where you can trade time for life, and I loved the music. The close up camera made it very claustrophobic and tense. My only complaint is that it's a maze, and I don't like mazes haha.
Well done!
Interesting little game for sure! Well done.
This is the kind of stuff I love seeing come out of Ludum Dare! Impressive on all fronts! Well done.
Wow! I loved it! The only complaint I have is spaces where I didn't encounter anything. I felt that game was short anyways, and that could help in improving, and potentially making it more difficult.
Overall, very impressive! Well done you guys!
@jasond I'll just have to keep my out for any futures versions of this, should they come out! I ran into a similar issue with content on my game, there's just never enough time hey?
Well done! Having an ingame tutorial was refreshing, but I kept getting stuck at the beginning because if I got took close to the practice targets, my shooting got disabled. After I killed them from a distance, and moved on to the rest of the level, my shooting was once again disabled once reaching the triangles. I also enjoyed the dialog, especially "Hello (again) ball".
WOW! This game had everything. Music, humour, theme, art, design, good gameplay. This is very impressive! I loved when the large red demons used their spinning attacks. I didn't manage to defeat (what I assume was) the boss, so I'll definitely be coming back to this.
Sweet little game! I found the controls a bit confusing when you went on to the other sides, but it was quite fun! Well done!
Well done! I enjoyed the sound design! The atmosphere was good. It seemed like buying more potions of light didn't increase my vision. As well I found it was hard to tell when my attacks would hit, or when opponents would be hitting me.
The mechanics were good and the inspect feature was a great addition.
I found the gameplay quite slow and it took a long time to get through any amount of story.
Well done, and bravo for tackling this topic!
Very interesting, I loved the idea, and would love to get more into the game and strategy. It's a bit obtuse though.
Well done.
Very amusing! I found some trouble getting through doors though.
Well done!
I really enjoyed reading the signs in the background. I found that W and S didn't really do anything?
Well done!
I enjoyed the humor of your post! I found the game difficult to control, but easy enough to figure out what to do.
Well done!
Very cool, I enjoyed the different weapons and the enemies looked cool! I noticed the player was the default pill too, haha. One thing I would change is slow the player down, I was rocketing across the obstacles!
Well done.
I enjoyed the puzzles but found that you can randomly die when jumping up into solid blocks.
A good entry for sure, well done!
Wow! Very impressive game! I loved the mood in it, the art was great, and it was a really cool concept. Some of the levels I found were easy because you could just make him stuck in one spot using conveyors until the last 2-3 moves. My biggest gripe was sometimes it was difficult to remove items with right click.
Very well done!
A fun little puzzler for sure, the only thing I would have liked better was being able to pick up pieces rather than resetting the whole level.
Well done!
Fantabulous all around. Beautiful art, lovely music, fun gameplay. It was a fun little puzzle game for sure.
Really well done!
@tarfield Unfortunately you need the key item, but I neglected to make an event that actually gives it to you yet... I plan to add it in the 30 minutes I have after work today before the jam ends! (Or in a post-jam version)
@stefanie-leitch Yea Unfortunately I never added an ending. Thanks for playing!
@xedur I would have loved to make a better instructions screen, it definitely is a wall of text. Will have to improve it if a post-jam version is made. Thanks for playing!
@bassguitarbill Thanks for playing! I definitely agree it can feel a bit hopeless. Game balance took a backseat, but thankfully I designed the events and items in a way that they are easy to add. So extra content will be a big focus in a post-jam version.
@slagathor Thanks for playing! I really enjoyed making the hand! I really like how this art style turned out.
@andre-fremaux I definitely agree, the tutorial could use a lot of work. Thanks for playing!
@don-fouts Thanks for playing! I hope a bigger variety of items and events will make it shine a bit more
@savvy-community Thanks for playing! Yeah I hope to add those soon! Unfortunately life sees it fit to keep me from creating a post ld version! I'll probably take a crack at it this weekend.
@honey-pony I agree finding a balance could be difficult. Thanks for playing! Oh and thank you for complimenting the art, I'm very happy with how it turned out!
@empty-set Thanks for playing and thanks for the suggestions! Progression would be nice for sure, in order to make it into a proper roguelike.
@itsdanidre Thanks for playing the game! A little more oomph for either the animations or sounds when something happens would help a lot I agree!
Very impressive. Definitely a top entry this ludum dare. Looking forward to more content!
Very Well done!
An interesting mash-up of ideas! I found it hard to aim with the arrow keys, and it would have been nice to be able to hold z to keep shooting.
Well done!
Wow! That was impressive, I really loved using the rocket launcher. Is it possible to switch between weapons you've picked up?
Well done!
An interesting idea, but even with the instructions included I found it hard to determine what to do.
Making a game isn't easy though, well done!
It felt really cool to run around exploring the area. Felt very doom-y. I found that some guidance at the start of the game would help, I wasn't sure what to do.
I enjoyed the art, but the screen shake really did me in. I think you could dial it down quite a bit.
Good presentation, but I think I got stuck when I attacked the wrong nation first in the second part of the game.
Well done!
Very cool, I love city builders in the style of the old sim city games.
One thing I noticed was that I could place solar farms in the water.
Well done!
boris.PNG
I was impressed by the opening but unfortunately I ran into a bug that stopped my troops from being able to attack.
Well done!
Very good art design, my only complaint would be it takes too long to get between rooms, as exploring them all was important.
Well done!
I loved the background art and the game was quite peaceful.
I would change the point where it shows you space is interact to later when you actually can interact.
Well done!
Wow! I can't believe you haven't gotten more ratings. A fun small game for sure. The debug and hell mode features are a lot of fun to mess around with.
Zooming out would be a nice feature.
Well done!
I was excited to climb higher, but I found the controls a bit difficult to manage, I think moving some of the controls over to the mouse would have helped.
Well done.
An excellent little adventure. The humor is definitely helped by the silly, while charming art. The music is really the finishing touch to make this something special. Well done!
Although short, it's got all the makings of a released game. A consistent art style, music, and good controls. Very impressive!
Unfortunately it froze before I could get into the actual game. I'm glad you participated though! I didn't manage to get anything released for my 3rd Ludum Dare, but now I'm onto my fifth! Hang in there.
It's working for me now! Thanks for uploading a working version. I think using the arrows keys is not the best decision, as I can't hit all the arrows with one hand, without using my thumb, it's just a bit uncomfortable. It is unfortunate that it got difficult to work on this game by the third day, I would have liked to see it fleshed out more. Thanks for taking the effort to upload a playable version!
@incinious Thank you! I think I should have spent more time on actually crafting clever puzzles, and some more traps. But the other features took more time than expected.
Thanks for playing.
@rafa-braga Thanks for playing! I'm glad you liked the level design and humour! I really enjoyed working on the background as well. Yea music would be good, maybe next jam!
@ben657 Thanks for playing! I loved doing the art for this game! I was really proud of the walk cycle for tom in particular!
@shubh Thanks for playing! Yea I definitely see the potential to do more! The long walk at the end was actually made cause I ran out of time to make more content haha!
@literal-games Thanks for playing! I'm glad you found it funny! I recently played The Messenger, and was inspired by the conversations between the shopkeeper and you in that game. I feel like the influence came through!
@ditam Thanks for playing! I tried using a restricted 32 color palette to try to force some consistency in the art, and it looks like it paid off! I used Arne's 32 Color palette in Aseprite. For the ranking, I should have added a "No dialog" mode to streamline the replay process!
@khud0 Thanks for playing! I can't wait to check your game out!
@chocolat-endive Thanks for playing! Yes the speech sounds were a requirement placed by my wife haha, she loves beep speech in video games. I definitely need to work on my music skills for next ld, so that I can hopefully add some!
@llewellyn-and-michael Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it so much! It was very fun to make!
@jelch Thanks for playing! I definitely could have balanced the puzzle vs. reflex part of it a bit better. I'm glad you liked the humor!
@shreyasrao-ts Thanks for playing! I was very happy with the beep speech as well! I'm glad you liked the art too!
@johnny-rainbow Thanks for playing!
@madewink Thanks for playing! I definitely made the spikes way too tough, I've heard that from some players.
@vesper Thanks for playing! A volume control would have been a great idea, you're right. I'll keep it in mind for next year. I'm glad you enjoyed the humor!
@hello-st Thanks for playing! I agree with the text boxes and dialog sections, definitely could have made those better, and shorter!
@elysiagriffin Thanks for playing!
An interesting game loop that could keep me entertained for a long time! Well done!
Very fun to read, and also fun to go over a second time. The music was great and very fitting. Well done!
Very fun! The first level was a bit tedious, but the second level is very fun and funny. As others have, got a crash right before 3rd stage.
Great graphics and audio! Well done!
Fun quick little game. I had an issue with the sound, it kept changing volume, even getting so high pitched for the healing sound that I had to take my headphones off for a second. Otherwise well done! I loved the hearts coming from the cube you save in the title screen, very cute.
It seems like by the end it forces you to lose by closing one of the two windows for too long, besides that, well done!
It would have been nice to have the text not be under the character, maybe have it read out to the player before the timer starts.
Funny concept, well done.
I think there was an extra station between general mines and venus city, I got the text for venus city, but the station indicator stayed at the mines. The time between stations could be reduced.
Anyways, great way to show off your pixel art! Well done!
@rafa-braga I played it all the way through, till at the end the only friend is the end, that's how it went right? Happy to play it!
Interesting for sure! I found the sensitivity was too high, but other than that found the controls fine. A few more things to do to get the party started would be good. Well done!
Congrats on finishing a game for your first ludum dare! As others have said, it's a good start, and I liked the art! Some more direction on what to do would be nice.
Well done!
I liked the tileset for the map and the audio was nice overall. An indicator on how much things cost would be nice.
Well done!
I liked the audio and the graphics! The jumping was a bit floaty and the game could be lengthened. I really enjoyed the lore at the beginning.
One thing I noticed was that the sound was very quiet, had to pump up my volume a lot.
Well done!
The link returns a 404 error. Please let me know if that gets fixed, and I will play the game!
A cute little game for sure. It took my one failed run to figure out how to actually play, but the second run was good! One thing I noticed was the apple tree was so tall it was hard to notice the check above it. Well done!
Unfortunately I broke the phone on my second run and the messages came out of order. Otherwise, a nice creepy couple of minutes. One thing I would suggest is capturing the cursor, as it gave me some issues with 2 monitors.
Well done!
I like the art, and the music is soothing. Some direction could help though. Is there an ending? I got to max water and bacteria.
Well done! Thanks for participating!
Nice little shooter, the fact that the gun shot automatically was a bit strange. I liked the opening sequence, and sounds/music.
I figured out you can just shoot the main enemy right from the start and win, as you deal damage faster than the green agents. Maybe that was just chance though!
Well done!
A sort of map feature would be nice, I find them confusing and I'm not sure which way to go. Well done!
It's too bad the main character model got corrupted! It was possible to get out of bounds and get unlimited score.
The music was nice, and you can always work on the game post jam to add some of those features!
This could really do with a bit more description in the game page.
Otherwise, music and graphics were good, was it inspired by Nier Automata? I loved the transition from the 1st area to the second.
Well done!
Nice art! A quick tutorial on the game page would be nice, but it's not too complicated. Can you unlock more towers in any way?
Well done! Hope you had a good first LDJam!
Interesting additional mechanics added. I had some trouble with the controls at the start (my fault) and totally botched it up, still had a good time though!
Well done
It was fun, I got to 1300 points. I found the keyboard controls weren't working properly, they would stop working at certain angles. Mouse worked fine though. Also the main menu button didn't work after I died.
Well done!
Nickleback concert, a true disaster.
This game was really interesting! I got demolished by my opponent, but I had fun exploring the content you put in there. The audio was amusing and the UI was really solid.
This was a really solid entry, It's a shame you don't have more reviews!
What a solid entry, I only wish there was more! Love the art style, audio, and the humor. Well done.
Fun little game, great and executed well. I found it a bit hard to hit enemies with bullets. When I played extreme difficulty, it forced me to use the traps to kill the bad guys, which was really fun.
Well done!
Great music (even when I was ruining it why my playing), great visuals, great writing. Solid entry.
Well done!
Wow! A solid entry. Perfectly executes the theme and looks good doing it. The controls felt a bit janky, but figuring out and executing what I needed to close the loop was fun!
Well done!
Got a couple lag spikes when the particles got really crazy, could probably tone down the number of particles, especially when they explode, looked like a bunch.
Fun little game, well done and congrats on finishing a game for the jam!
Absolutely hilarious! I laughed out loud when the managers special came up, especially cause I wanted to save up a $1 tip, and it came up when I was at 99 cents!
Funny, good art, great critique of corporations. Well done!
Super interesting puzzle game, I found it started lagging in some of later levels when there were lots of paths and they had to loop tonnes of times.
Well done!
Fun little puzzler, I'm not sure I completely understand the rules of how the things move, but I managed to finish all the levels anyway.
Well done!
Decided to not wake up, got a great surprise, even though it was a soft-lock.
Good use of art, sound was great, humor was on-point. Well done!
Great atmosphere! I found the footstep sound a bit grating and loud.
Well done!
@aimainiac Game was still in development at the time! I created the page early so I wouldn't forget. Try again in like an hour or so
@aimainiac It is all working now!
@twobitmatt Thanks for playing! Sorry that you ran into a bug!
@momo-hunter Thanks for playing!
@no-grapes-games Thanks for playing! I definitely wanted to add enemies, but such is a game jam. I'll keep it in mind if a post-jam version ever sees the light of day (unlikely).
@grenk Thanks for playing! Yea, a bit of a larger screen would be a good idea. Noted!
@xenobey Thanks for playing and commenting! Glad you enjoyed!
@peanud Thanks for playing! Yea tuning the difficulty is something to work on for sure.
@fachscahfttf Thanks for playing! How do you mean restart? If you mean when that you always start from the beginning, then yes, I would have liked to add checkpoints.
@walnut Thanks for playing and commenting, glad you enjoyed it!
@yokoonfire Thanks for playing and commenting!
@rockclaw Thanks for playing! I love the art style too, thanks go to my teammate, @peter1987, for doing the art design!
@jamesor Thanks for playing!
@pinneh Thanks for playing! I'm sorry you got those issues with the menus! Not sure where that would come from though.
@landosystems Thanks so much for playing and reviewing! I'm glad the tutorial did it's job. I've been trying to work on making effective tutorials in the last few jams.
@m-trigo Thanks for playing. Dodge rolling was in the works at one point, but got scrapped. Our spin on the theme was taking stuck in a loop to represent being hung in a noose and the character uses a noose to fight.
@jake-white Thanks for playing. I KNOW! I love the character animations too. My teammate really outdid themselves 😁.
@axlplosion Thanks for playing! I'm super happy with how the gameplay came out, glad to hear you think the same!
@tricky-fat-cat Thanks for playing! I'll admit I enjoyed the gameplay so much I definitely wasted time just playing around in there haha.
@spawncampgames Thanks for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed it!
@fatsheep Thanks for playing! Yea, I tried adding indicators for when it was fully charged, but I think some more obvious ones are needed. One idea was animating your cursor to show full charge, but we didn't get that far!
@twobitjen Thanks for playing. I'm glad the gameplay hit the mark I was aiming for. I love the art too, credit goes to my teammate for that!
@lohreck Thanks for playing!
@fallingflatstudios Dang where did you manage to break through the world! I thought I plugged all those holes...
Thanks for playing!
@fallingflatstudios Ah! Thank you!
@frosty Thanks for playing, sorry you had to use it on a trackpad!
@honey Thanks for playing, and the awesome feedback. I appreciate the time you took to write it out. I definitely agree there is a difficulty spike, and hiding the first enemy after a blind jump was a bad call. I think a good solution to some of these issues is more tutorial area, and a larger screen size, so enemies don't surprise you so much.
Thanks again!
@acaral Thanks for playing! I definitely spent time I should have spent developing, just playing around and watching the animations! My teammate did a fantastic job.
@666savior Thanks for playing, yea the difficulty spike is a bit much, easing the player in so they have time to develop the skills would have worked better.
@toby1645 Thanks for playing!
@junior23419 Thanks for playing. There's definitely a spike in difficulty there, that was an oversight on my part!
@chris-hay Thanks for playing. I'm glad you liked the tutorial! I'm trying to get better at making those.
@plutonium-powered Thanks for playing! I'm glad you like it.
@ditam Thanks for playing! Yea I noticed a lot of lassos as well. Yes the resizing was done poorly (ie not considered at all).
@makiyoshi Thanks so much for playing! My partner did the art and animations, and I really liked them too! Yea, setting him back a little bit would be prudent, thanks for the feedback.
Great mood art and music. Was not able to figure out the riddle, and didn't really try for more than a few minutes, if the stones were closer, it would be nice as I could try things more quickly.
Well done!
Took a bit to figure out the controls and how to handle the cattle, but after that I was getting them back to the barn every time.
Great art, it's a shame you didn't get more time! I also liked that your game is also western and noose/lasso themed!
Well done!
The art style reminded me of flash games of old, and the puzzles were fun! Having to aim before shooting was a bit annoying, and didn't seem to serve a purpose.
Overall, well done and congrats on finishing a game for the jam!
It took a couple of rounds to get a hang of things, and to know what's out-of-place so I can use it as a clue. Having the hints stay longer than the loading screen would be nice, as it loaded so fast I could barely read them.
I loved the art, and respect the choice of the difficult topic.
Well done on completing your game!
Awesome little minigame compilation (hah). It would be nice if there was a button to start each minigame, so I could read the sidebar between rounds.
Well done, great entry.
Another game that's western themed! Mine is too. Well done on the game, great art and good execution of the theme.
Great job on this game! It was fun, but I found having to wait for the game to rewind all the progress I made was a bit tedious, if it were a bit faster that would be nice. Besides that, it looked good and was interesting.
Well done!
Fun little entry. I ended up just having to circle the city looking for the tunnel, and I happened to pick the wrong side, and circled the whole city!
It got tense when I tried breaking through all the cops at the tunnel. Well done!
Lots of fun, had a bug with the sound where it was delayed.
It would have been nice if the scrolling for weapons looped, so I can keep scrolling down if I want to.
Well done!
Fantastic game, lots of fun. Great art and fun little movement puzzles.
Well done!
The escape key troll was a big oof. Fun concept, but I found the platforming was a little imprecise. Awesome music and interesting environment.
Well done!
Lol! Didn't read your blurb at the top and I thought the point was to stay in the wheel. Wasted some time there. Interesting, are the levels randomly generated or prebuilt?
Well done on completing a game for the jam!
Can't find the page, you may have to set it to public, from draft/private
This game rocks.
Simple, and fun to play around with for a few minutes.
Congrats on completing a game for the jam!
Enjoyed the game, but I would have it enjoyed it much more if the stopping your rotation mechanic was removed, i found myself always going off course because I didn't hit x. It made the controls feel floaty and was quite frustrating.
Besides that though it was fantastic! Awesome music, and really fun. Well done.
Fun little game, I was also expecting more hints on what to give customers besides just lobbing one of everything on the belt.
I think the belt could be a bit faster.
Well done!
Well that was silly. Fun take on the theme for sure! The timer was kinda brutal in game though, and I ended up just spamming whatever attack worked. For the boss I did have to do a bit of maneuvering though.
Well done!
Was confusing at first, but when I figured it out I had a good time with it. A little more of a tutorial would be nice. In addition I don't feel the mana mechanic added anything interesting, it's just a cooldown timer. Being able to spam my moves would be fun.
Well done, and good job on completing a game for the jam!
Awesome little game, it looks good, sounds great, and is overall a good submission! I wasn't able to find any indicators for which portal was the right one, were there any hints or is it just trial and error?
Well done on completing a game for the jam!
Cool little game, I've always wanted to try making something in pico-8. Simple but still a bit hard to master, mostly cause I panicked haha. 2 Player was fun, but I would have liked if my partner could respawn if I reached the next level.
Well done, and congrats on finishing a game for the jam!
A fantastic little puzzler. I'll admit the first few levels I thought were pretty easy, but when the bouncing pads hit I was engaged again. Definitely had a good time with this. One thing that was a little bothersome were the controls, if you let the player hit the jump button a couple of frames after leaving a platform that would do a lot to make it feel responsive.
Well done!
Hoooo boy. I found out you can just spam hit all the buttons, I got to Friday the 27th before my arm got tired and I stopped. Interesting though! Well done on completing a game for the jam
What a lovely fever dream this was. Delightful in most ways, interesting in the rest.
Well done on completing the game. The only rational feedback I can give is maybe tone down the shotgun knockback.
Congrats on finishing a game for the jam!
As the comment above, it did make me think of I wanna be the guy. If that's what you were going for, great, but otherwise some puzzles didn't have any way to figure them out besides brute force, which I imagine is frustrating when playing on hard mode.
Either way, well done on completing a game for the jam!
Nice art and idea, I found it was a bit hard to control where I was shooting the fireballs. I got stuck in the second level, nothing happened after I killed all the enemies.
Well done.
Quite funny and endearing artstyle. A bit of sound would go a long way! I got ending 6/6.
Well done, it was lots of fun!
Very Sweet game, once I figured out the grappling hook it went a lot smoother. Super fun from there on out. Well done!
I enjoyed the art and the sound effects, and I appreciated that fewer portals appeared the closer I got to my home reality. Adding something just beyond it being a memory would be nice though.
Well done!
Tutorial Level was tough lol! I think the boundaries of the solid trails could be marked better. It was hard to tell sometimes if I was going to fall into a gap or not.
Well done on the awesome game!
A fantastic mood/atmosphere, I really enjoyed walking in my forest once it was grown, especially at night.
Well done!
The balls come back down in too quick succession, it's often impossible to reach more than one unless you're really lucky. Staggering them a bit more would be good. Also, when you lose balls, bringing the new ball wait counter to a lower number would be good, I was at one point waiting for the one ball to go through 80 loops before getting a second.
Good job on completing a game for Ludum Dare!
Charming art and sound, was interesting! I could just hit all the keys with seemingly no penalty, so I didn't bother remembering what was what.
Well done!
Super stylish, awesome sound, art, and controls. The puzzle design was a little lacking, as I only really had to use the looping mechanic for the last level.
But really good for a jam! Well done!
Was a bit unforgiving, having to completely restart on death, but I really enjoyed the art and sound effects. The UI sound effects were really satisfying, well done!
Great entry, I was thissss close to getting to the end. One thing I noticed is that near the end I was still moving even if I didn't have a crewman on navigation.
Well done!
Really cool! Didn't have a chance to play it with 2 ppl as of yet, so I was trying to play both players haha. Well done!
Tried it again with 2, and it was a blast! During one game we both go to the point where we had 100+ seconds left with the worm, because of all the green gems. Maybe at some point they should stop spawning, in favor of diamonds.
Fantastic entry! I got to the chill wind level before I accidentally left the game page and lost all my progress
It would be nice if there was an option to tone down the particle effects, because when I was planting 100+ plants, it would start to lag.
I was super engaged and tried my best to play it to the end, well done.
I had fun figuring out how to get out of the map cap 2.PNG
Great idea, but the fact that restart puts you all the way to start was not fun :(
Other than that, well done!
Fantastic entry! What a blast to play. I reached the end I think, 2,231m?
Well done!
@zhanna Thank you for playing!
@gno-evenimente Thanks for playing! Yes it definitely gets messy at the end! Enjoy Tahiti!
@madbarron Thanks for playing and giving the comprehensive feedback!
The talk with Mr Richardson at it was going to be a clue at one point, but we ended up cutting it.
Regarding the notes on the items, yes that would have been good! Just like a little message explaining what it is when you zoom in.
Glad you enjoyed it!
@mattwoelk Thanks for playing! I'm glad you liked the little bits of polish we put on, we're proud of the feel of playing it!
@junebug Thanks for playing! Yea the dragging around was a feature I really enjoyed adding, and then playing with!
@ardorugus Thanks for playing! Everyone is mentioning the greying out of options in their reviews, so I'm really glad I added it!
@celtico Thank you for the comprehensive review! No idea on the sound issue, I never got it personally, I feel like it may be an issue with the web build (as I mostly played it in editor). YES! I LOVE cultist simulator, I convinced @samazki (the artist) to do it in that style, and we're glad it came across.
Super cool that you made it work on mobile as well. If there was some indication what spaces were what, it would feel better than just random chance.
Well done!
Awesome entry, a lot of fun to play, and I managed to find all 5 planets. Only 220/500 survivors though, and I was having trouble finding new suns, not sure where the rest of the survivors were hiding. One suggestion would be upping turning speed when you are slowed down/stopped.
Well done!
Yay I got the star. Very cute game, I just pumped all the money into O2, and that seemed to work for me. Well done!
Very funny, and good job making all the sound. The music is great! Well done!
Amazing entry! It's great to see a fellow corkboard game! I found myself sliding around on the last level when I wasn't moving. Great art, music, and controls. Great little experience, well done!
Fun game, I found the jumping to be a bit difficult to control. Great art and atmospheric music, well done!
Awesome art and music, had a blast playing this one!
It was quite hard to tell where I was going or where I was, some lights or landmarks in the level would be nice. Well done on completing a game for the jam!
Fantastic idea for the jam! I got a little restless and starting taking all the hints so I could see all the pretty fractals you've added. Well done!
What a blast! This was a load of fun, and it's awesome you made something so ambitious, I did have to deal with a couple crashes, and the dwarf behaviour was sometimes difficult to understand, but I still had a load of fun. Well done!
What a rocking tune, put that on soundcloud, I need to listen to it some more haha. Other than that, beautiful graphics, and well great gameplay. Fantastic job.
Great mood and music! Thank goodness my bike has a motorized boulder crusher at the front, or else I would have been in trouble!
WOW. I was blown away. The mood was absolutely _dripping_. It didn't go on too long to become tedious, and the story you were discovering piece by piece was so interesting!
Seriously, well done. Hail Dagon.
That was so pleasant! I loved my whole time playing. One thing I noticed was that after using a bubble blast, picking up another bubble for more air bounces you, where it normally wouldn't bounce you.
Fantastic art, it was so adorable. Well done!
I loved the 3d models and their textures, the music was good too, but it didn't loop very well and it kinda took you out of the immersion every time it looped.
Good job!
It was a little unclear how to get resources, but it seems like they randomly drop from asteroids, aiming your missiles was a bit tough, and the game started lagging as soon as you started destroying asteroids. All that said, this was an ambitious project for ludum dare, and I think you pulled it off! There's a good core loop of gathering resources/fighting ships and an actual end goal, no matter how impossible it feels to achieve at times (damn loan sharks).
Well done!
Great entry, I found sometimes my dwarves weren't building anything new for some reason, unsure why. Great 3d models and good job completing something so ambitious!
Well done!
I found it a little difficult to see the text in the corners on the web build, like I wasn't sure how many grenades I had left. Also the conversations went by a bit quick. Besides that, a fun game and a good entry! Well done!
Good use of the audio assets! At then I wish I was able to get to exactly 300 (miles? kilometers?), but I'll take 297 haha. Well done!
The speed boost from the boots is awesome, leaving those fish in the dust. I was unsure if there was a way to return to the boat, was dying the only option? Returning to the boat didn't do it for me.
Well done! The art and sound were great! I found the vision range to be a bit small, and it wasn't immediately clear how to actually progress. I feel like there could be fewer waves.
A fantastic entry, a super cool concept executed well. All the art, music, and dialogue play into this idea so well. One thing I would have liked is for the objectives to get crossed off when you complete them.
Well done!
Awesome graphics! Was a fun time. Well done!
This is the best entry I've played so far. Once I did maybe run into a bug though where it didn't let me continue and I had to restart. Tons of fun, great concept!!
Wow! I had a fantastic time playing this, I beat it with the first fighter, but when I tried with the second he got frozen the first time I was hit, and I couldn't do anything except sit there.
Really good though, well done!
Capture.PNG I think he likes it!
Had a blast with this one, such a great idea, and the cherry on top was the acapella mode. A stroke of genius. This is honestly amazing! Well done.
Fun little fishing minigame, interesting take on the the theme. I love the fact that when you messed up in the first phase of catching fish you don't instantly lose, but rather go back one step. It would be nice if there was a feature like that for the arrows as well, like screwing up an arrow input adds 2 more inputs to the list.
Anyways, well done!
Hilarious idea, but unfortunately it gets tiring fast, I'm glad I played it though, was very funny. It would be interesting if some of the files the penguins tossed out were upgrades or other interesting content.
Well done!
Some of the rooms were a bit unfair as you get hit before you could dodge (the rooms with the projectile enemies), but other than that I had a good time. A map would be nice as well, just something that shows which room is next to which.
Well done!
Fantastic graphics, and fun concept, I love Myshka <3 I would suggest opt-ing out of the Audio category, if your music and sound effects were not made during the jam. Other than that, well done!
Great use of the theme, and +1 for the inclusion of horses. Had a good laugh. Well done!
Good art and sound effects. I felt like the effects were more of a nuisance than something to work around, partially because I didn't have time to bother reading the effect, I just had to trust I was doing ok. If the effects made changes to the player sprite, it would be really easy to tell what was going on.
I still had fun with this game, well done!
Had a blast playing this. Great job with the bosses. I loved the first boss' cigar attack, super funny. I had it crash when I tried to restart after dying to the gangster boss (console said something about (not inside tree errors), and I think some of the goons in that level (the ones on the scaffolding) just walk off the edge of the level and disappear. Besides that though, I had a blast, really well done!
Fun little game, I tried climbing up the straight chute on the right side of the map, which I found more fun than the actual level haha.
2 things that would greatly improve the game: - The camera has smoothing enabled, which is nice, but the fact that there's no limit on it means you can easily not see yourself anymore when launching, making it impossible to keep up any momentum. Enabling a limit on the camera would help here, so you can never go off screen. - The physics sometimes stop you instantly, instead of bouncing you off. If you're using godot I'm guessing it's because you are using a tilemap for physics? As opposed to large collision rects. If that's the case, I think the player is hitting either right in an edge, or clipping through the block they are actually hitting, and hitting the underside of the block above. Just guesses though!
This was still a lot of fun to play, well done!
Had a great time with this one! I started to actually learn what was what, but some of those recipes were long! Well done!
This was a blast! Great idea and well executed. Rules were intuitive enough. Only thing I didn't get at first was what the turn did, I turned one die 5 times before I realized it flipped the die to the other side, not to a random side haha.
It seemed to me that I got a lot more high numbers than low numbers, I was getting tonnes of turn dice potions, but maybe that was just the RNG!
It would be cool if you could use the omega potion at the end (maybe it spawns like 100 dice), but it was fun anyways.
Well done!
Very funny in the use of your voice for sound effects, I couldn't get past the lasers, but I had fun! Well done
Wow! Really fun, and a neat concept. I found that green was really overwhelming at the end to the point I felt I needed to have the green beam at all times, but then the red ones got me anyway!
Well done!
@crumson @02rppl @gdman thanks for all the nice words! It would be nice to make it longer, my original idea included another 2 sections! But that was way too ambitious. Yea I noticed that the last section was super long, so I made each missle count as 27 in the end haha
@fermingimpel @alex-chertilin @peco @ullent Thank you so much for playing!
@sawdust Personally, I agree it's slightly too long. I don't think I made it engaging enough to keep attention for as long as it is. I reduced it in length MANY times while working on it. Thanks for playing!
@zapdos2 Thanks so much for playing
@joeshanahan Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the upgrade system! I wanted them to be more meaningful then just +1 damage or something, so it feels like you're customizing your cannon. I'm happy that came across  Thanks for playing!
@macron Thank you for playing! I'm super proud of the soundtrack, so I appreciate you mentioning it!
@abk507 Thanks for playing!
@uinelj Thanks for playing! I figured I should have a put a note about that up! That section goes *dramatically* faster in the last phase, it is not infinite!
@notapollogising Thanks for playing! Here's a secret, if you want to get to the end, you can hit 'p' to skip to the end scene, you won't see the final cutscene, but you can enjoy the end screen .
@brusi Thanks for playing! I'm really happy that I managed to keep it coherent!
@yotamco Thanks for playing! I love how the first part turned out as well, graphically.
@leokrechmer thanks for playing!
@kukurammus Thanks for playing! Yes I should have made the last part a little more engaging, but that's why I included the skip button as well :).
@nahuelito thanks so much! I'll be here next ld!
@life-lich Thanks for playing!
@compasslg @stefan-b Thanks for playing!
@joonamo Thanks for playing! I grew up playing those flash games, and I suppose they must have had an impact on me!
@shea-kelly thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed it.
@panagiotis-iatrou Thank you so much for playing, and for the kind words! I definitely put the most effort into this jam game than any previous one. 5-10 minute breaks max and pulling an all-nighter sunday to monday. It was a doozy!
@real-flamingicecubegames thank you so much for playing and all the kind words! I'm very happy with how many horse puns I got in.
@chris-hay thanks for playing! I'm glad you thought the music was fitting, I'm really happy how it turned out.
@mattwoelk thanks for playing!
@manzdeh @larryseinfeld Thank you so much for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed :)
@mizuiky thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it!
@junebug thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed. Horse puns were an important part of the development process.
@tetrapteryx thanks for playing! Glad you enjoyed!
Wow this was amazing! I had so much fun.
It would have been interesting to have the negative effects have a random order, so each play is different. Also, if there was a visible marker showing the radius at which you get hurt from using the gun too close to enemies, that would be nice, I killed myself like that because it was hard to tell if I would hurt myself.
Was really fun though, well done!
It's clear you're no strangers to game design. You know the rules of game dev, and so do I! Therefore I'm able to fully commit to giving this a positive review, the kind you wouldn't get from any other guy. I just wanna tell you how I feel about this game, I've got to make you understand I had a great time with it.
I loved the aesthetic, and the fact that different objects affected your player in unique ways, but it would be cool to have some sort of notification when you get those, so you can kinda understand what's happening. Well done!
It looks good and sounds good. I found it very hard to actually click on the puppets in order to move them around, and it seemed like there was real end goal, besides "don't let them die/go crazy".
Fun idea, but the rhythm puzzle was a bit obtuse, I knew what to do, but understanding which note corresponded to which key was difficult, especially as the songs ramped up in length. It would be cool if every song were 4 notes long, and you just had to listen to it to find the order to play the keys in. That way you always have a reference to q = lowest key and r = highest, rather than sometimes having to guess which key is the first one.
Overall I had a blast with this one! Well done!
I had a blast! I got to a factory that was producing a micro bot and tank as fast as possible, and there was nothing the enemy could do about it. It crashed at that point, when I had like 10-15 tanks at the enemy portal. One think I would have liked was a button that selected the type of block you were hovering over to place, so you didn't have to scroll through the menu. Well done!
This was great! I wish you could restart the individual levels, but I still had a lot of fun here. Is it possible to get all the coins? Also yay for someone using almost the exact same set of tools! Godot and aseprite rock!
Well done!
Couldn't beat what I assumed to be the last boss, but it was enjoyable. The mechanics weren't very clear and I just played whatever I was able. I had no idea why cards were disabled sometimes, but not other times.
Great animations and a good idea. To me it doesn't seem to really fit the theme though.
The fact that enemies took more than one hit meant I just didn't bother killing them, it would also be interesting if they would give you some health back, as an incentive to actually fight them. Also the sensitivity was quite high.
I still had fun with this game though, it's well done!
@tobb Ah! I should have checked the settings :) I'll give it another go.
@tobb Much better! Thanks for letting me know!
I had a blast from start to finish. Great art, music, writing, and pacing. The only thing is that it felt hand-holdy, I was always being told what to try next. A solution for that could be to list the things you have available to check on the side of the screen, rather than within the notes, so that I could kind of process of elimination try things until I figured it out, without having to do `check notes` every other command.
I had a great time! Well done!
Only issues I had were understanding what was happening, once I figured it out (and got lucky with 50% rod room instability) I beat it in no time. Well done!
Amusing game, but very difficult. It was also hard to tell exactly what was making the volcano mad. I also felt like I wasn't getting enough cards to deal with all the issues I was running into. Besides that, I had fun!
Well done!
Capture.PNG
I had an absolute blast with this one! My only complaint is some of the upgrades are nullified by others, like 'Cardio' is a freebie on expert difficulty, the invert colors doesn't matter much when you get a random palette, and personally, I prefer the inverted colors in the first place.
One request, include on the end screen the upgrades you picked, I think it would be cool to see what you all had to deal with.
Well done!
Very amusing! Fun concept but wow it was hard! Well done!
The days felt like they were zooming by, I got anxious and just sped up time until I lost haha. It was really cool though, to hear that swelling sound as I spun, until finally the planet had reached it's end. Was a fun experience, and very ambitious. Well done!
What a BLAST! I love the fact that you let the popo shoot each other if you line them up. Fantastic jam game, only issue I had is the hitboxes for picking up heads and eating bodies seemed quite small, so I had to run over them several times to pick them up. Otherwise really well done!
Capture.PNG
Almost lost on my last year, only had 5 bucks left so I couldn't build anything. Diligently followed the law and everything went ok.
Had a blast with this one, it's fun, a great idea, and a good take on the theme. Well done!
Fantastic mood and atmosphere between the art/writing/sound design. I loved every aspect of this! Also love that you used godot! What a great engine!
Well done!
I liked it! Having the instructions play while I'm struggling to survive is probably not the best time to have them.
I had a good time though, well done!
I always like a runner with an acceleration mechanic, a la Canabalt. The amount of text in the tutorial was a bit much, I would rather the humour is sprinkled throughout than frontloaded, but it was still amusing!
Well done!
Great art style and music. It set a great mood, I loved the animations of everything. It was a bit hard at first to understand what was going on, I had to restart many times because I would instantly go into debt, but I eventually figured out that the income you get is based on what the houses are currently using, as opposed to just a constant flow.
Well done!
Wow a really good game! my only concern was it's a bit hard to juggle the controls quickly to give them what you want, and I just ended up spamming items to whoever was closest.
Really well done though, good job!
Fantastic! Great idea, use of theme, graphics, and music! At first I didn't understand the combo mechanic. I had fun, well done!
Yay I won! I feel that the random timers between moves made it hard to strategize much, and waiting 5 seconds for an attack was a bit long. Other than that I had a good time! Well done!
Nice start to a game, but I couldn't continue after the nail boss. I feel like people have already commented on the issues I had, so I just want to drop in and say congrats on finishing your first game! Making a game and submitting it is tough. Well done!
I had a good time building that sand castle, it looked like I had to deposit sand in specific places, and it wasn't clear where there was still sand required. In addition I noticed the dialog with your brother seemed a bit buggy, with text flashing in and out. Finally, I got a crash right at the end! But I still had fun with this! I liked the art and the idea, very amusing.
Well done!
Nice art and sound, but unfortunately I wasn't able to progress.
Nice start to a game idea, I only wish I could pick them back up once I dropped them! Or maybe kick them with my ducky feet. Well done!
Wow really cool idea! I think it would work really well as a puzzle game, where you have to magnetize rocks in the right order to kill all the enemies. One thing that I would change is the footstep sound, it was very repetitive.
Well done!
Fun little game, I thought killing the big dude would be the ending, but that didn't work for me. Well done!
I had trouble getting to the second level, besides that it worked.
Fun idea, making a tower defense game a much more active experience, I liked the idea.
I wish there was a longer startup period, before the enemies showed up, so I could prepare.
Well done!
Fun platformer, but I feel like the levels really ramped up in complexity. One thing that made it more difficult was the small camera size, it was difficult to tell if what you were about to do was going break the puzzle and you'd have to reset.
Well done overall!
Fun puzzle experience, was there a restart button? If not that would have been nice, but crushing myself to restart was a little funny. I had a great time with this game. The magnet mechanic is a bit convoluted, as is the climbing one (maybe just make it so you climb automatically when you walk into a block without the magnet out, and just make space take the magnet out and put it away).
Well done!
Fun little game, it got hectic fast though! +1 for using godot, and +1 for also having it be themed around horses and stables :)
Interesting take on arkanoid and good use of the theme. I wish the paddle moved either slower or smoother, and same with the ball. The tiny size of the bricks also made it quite hard to be precise at all.
Well done, this was fun!
Nice little game. I didn't find it too hard to avoid the enemy, they didn't seem to chase me very much. Were the blood pools there so I would leave trails? I noticed I would leave bloody footprints around. One other thing was that the key being yellow on the map blended in with the white, and I thought it was just a closet or wall. Besides that it was great! Well done!
Very innovate, but as other have said, difficult to parse. Nice attempt for sure, it reminds of me of Rogue. I think having you and the enemies move slower would help, it was hard to keep track of what was happening.
Well done!
It's a little bit hard to tell when you actually start becoming unstable, and when you are close. I know the color changes and you are unstable as soon as you jump or dash, but either a sound or a bar/meter would be nice to tell how close I am.
Besides that, well done!
Was a bit confused what to do before the first avalanche, but learned quickly! It doesn't seem like I have super much control, just maintaining ramps. Had fun though! Well done.
I had an awesome time here! Yes, it's vampire survivors, BUT it adds a really interesting goal! I found the cultists were not necessary, you're obligated to just go kill them as fast as possible anyways so there's no point in having them really. It is a good way for you to see how big the map is though, you could probably replace the cultists with a 'boss' that gives tonnes of xp but is hard to kill, so players would decide to go to them when they are ready.
I think tornado + fist is a bit strong, nothing could get anywhere close to me.

Final score
ld50 meteor score.PNG
Good job on this, it was incredibly fun.
Assassinating the king in 4 turns by blowing away his pawns then sniping him from across the board has got to the best thing I've ever done in chess. Marvelous. 10/10
It got difficult fast, and I felt like almost immediately I was in situations where I couldn't meet the demand because the supply arrows were blocked by my other paths. Not terrible if it happens, but it felt like every try it would.
Other than that it was great! Well done.
This was an incredible entry. My favourite that I've played so far. The cats with brooms absolutely made it for me, they were adorable. The game play was simple and fun and I could see it becoming addictive. The ending tugged on my heartstrings.
Yes! Sub 2 minutes. Thanks to watching this on Kuvi's stream I knew exactly what to do  ld50 penguin.PNG
Cool idea with having to gather one element at a time to unlock the next. It's kind of like a point and click escape room. I found the controls a bit hard to get used to and there were times the music got a bit intense for seemingly no reason? I'm guessing just being close to the cult member? Anyways, the music itself was good, as well as the graphics. Well done!
Amazing, exact same experience as @embedder72. Apprehensive to loving it. Really well done. My Setup: 1.png My final score (1068): 2.PNG
Interesting villagers and I enjoyed the art. My sword sounded like a lightsaber, so that was fun! Besides that I didn't really know what to do, I killed a couple goblins and took all the villagers on a hike that ended in a BBQ.
Well done!
Dope soundtrack and art, and the gameplay was fun too! Having a score would definitely have helped me play it a bit longer to try and beat my score. I liked that the pieces were tetris shaped, having to slot them into place definitely added some difficulty! It may be interesting if the player is told what the next shape they are gonna pull is, so they can plan where to put it!
Well done!
Fun game! I had a bit of trouble figuring out how to build at first, so maybe some clarification on that via tutorial would be nice.
The art is gorgeous and I had a lot of fun trying (and eventually succeeding) to get another date! Other than the lack of sound effects everything is very polished. Awesome work!
Cool tower defense game, I thought the concept was cute. I struggled to actually defend the hot dogs but had fun! Some music would have been nice.
@aderpychickenstudios Yup! Thanks. Was just getting my final build in place first. Should be good now.
@embedder72 @purpoappo @charred-axolotl @yanakill-lullanita Thank you all so much for playing and the kind words! I had a great time making this one!
@cary-stanley Thanks for playing! Unfortunately an electric guitar cannot save the world, unless you recycle it.
@fabbyrob Thanks for playing! I owe the idea for the ending to my wife!
@karbirus Yes it can be hard to recycle. But some, working class, citizens have to do it! Otherwise no-one will!
Thanks for playing :)
@fedeolive Thanks! Robo-Propri v1000 loves new content, so I had to feed it to him in the form of this game.
Thanks for playing!
@aderpychickenstudios thanks for playing! I'm really happy how it all turned out!
@stamestratagem Thanks for playing! I believe it's the only way INCINERATOR should be said/written.
@kirkami Thanks for playing! The only reason my wife loves me is my jokes, so I'm glad they're funny.
@gaston-camacho Thanks for playing! Yea a few more upgrades would have been nice!
@bauke-regnerus Thanks for playing! I'm glad the balancing worked out well.
@lohii Thanks for playing, sorry you had that issue, did it still happen in fullscreen mode?
@mcmuniz Thanks for playing! I'm really happy how the game turned out.
@lvl99chicken Thanks for playing, I made most of the sound effects myself and I think they turned out pretty good!
@spladug Thanks for playing! I agree the upgrades could have been improved and expanded.
@lohii Thanks for giving it another try!
@autogibbon Thanks for playing! You are a true champion for playing on extreme mode!
@agushmar Thanks for playing! I'm glad you liked the sounds, they were lots of fun to record
@brads-space Thanks for playing!
@02rppl Thanks for playing! *Cough*
@xeke-death Thanks for playing! There are different endings depending on how well you do, yes. It requires getting a perfect (give or take 1) score for the 'best' ending.
@marcmagus Thank you so much for playing it! Thank you as well for providing the highlight link!
@pixelydian Thanks for playing! I'm glad you liked the tutorial!
@matso Thanks for playing! It sounds like you're a writer for a gaming magazine haha, thanks for the review!
@moooks Thanks for playing! I tried to keep the scope of the actual game smaller than last year so I could polish it more.
@redoplus Thanks for playing, and thanks for the analysis! I agree that the magnet is a bit weak!
@dkmk100 Thanks for playing! 417 is pretty good!
@fatiguedfox Thanks for playing, I'm glad you enjoyed! I'm happy the tutorial is so effective!
@elysiagriffin Thank you for playing and the compliments on my button feedback!
@gabriel-dias-oliveira-de-almeida Thank you so much for playing and your kind words! Yes all the art is my own. The only things I didn't create in this project were a few of the sounds. Most of those I made too, in my own closet crinkling cans and clinking bottles haha.
@guy-girmonsky Thanks for playing! There is no 'lose' condition that makes you restart a level, only different endings depending on performance. I'm glad you really liked it!
This game was perfect, I got absolutely lost in it. The lack of undo was really interesting because it made everything feel more permanent (even though I could paint over it). I loved seeing how impressive some peoples pieces are and the ghosts were very sweet.
Controls were a bit floaty, but I think that fit the mosquito perfectly, so I liked it! Some of the 'voice' lines for the victims were a bit loud and repetitive.
Well done!
Had fun with this! Thanks for including the barrel! ld50_1.png
Didn't get all the achievements, but I got close! It was fun and the achievements gave me a reason to keep playing as long as I did. A few suggestions would be make where the big guys spawn look different so I can get a pre-emptive shot in and some feedback when getting hit would be good too.
No idea what the last ones were, but I think I was one short of getting the final clue. Best score was wave 19, ~197 seconds.
The graphics were really nice, I wish there were graphics for the cut scenes too. I found the left button attack hard to aim so the spin attack was my go to.
Did the pig have a 4chan logo on it's forehead? Anyways, was fun! Well done.
twice I got within one die, and even one pip (one value away on my last die) from getting 400. Alas, maybe it's not meant to be. This was a lot of fun! There's definitely some impending doom, and I like that fact that it's not infinite! Plays well with the theme and makes sense after a game or two. Well done!
I only got to the bombs, but the altimeter showed I wasn't even half way... It didn't really fell like I was controlling the bird, and the air rushing sound reminded me of an airplane toilet. But I had lots of fun!
Yay godot! This game looked and felt really good! Easiest way to win is just build in opposite directions, houses on one side special buildings on the other. Well done!
That was a blast! Well done.
Fun and beautiful game. I found it a little difficult to remember everything though, like where to go if there were a lot of hunters, but the tutorial was well designed.
The graphics were really nice and the writing was very funny. I was a bit confused on what I was supposed to do but the explanation in the comments helps! Great entry.
I had a lot of fun with this and I love that I could customize my character. When I played I couldn't find more than two mailboxes and they seemed to run out of packages after a while. Maybe I just didn't wait long enough!
Really solid puzzle game that was a lot of fun. It was cool to learn more tricks about how teleportation works as you go along. I can't believe this was a compo entry!
Fun and simple concept. I didn't realize I was losing points at first when slapping them without cause. Oops.
:peanuts:
Fun sim to watch! The gun sounds caught me off guard, with how intense they were! It was great. F
Looks like you've already read all the previous reviews and comments, and taken the critiques to heart! So I just wanted to throw a compliment on the pile. I liked the art and the enemy design were cool! Looked really other-worldly. Well done!
I'm having factorio flashbacks. I love this sort of game! A bit hard to grasp at first with all the instructions to read through while you're being taxed, but I had fun after a few resets. I think I found a really good setup... I'll have to play again later.
Very well done!
Dope! Definitely worthy of fanart. The tutorial screen said you turn with a/d, but it's actually strafing. Was the giant the goal, killing him? After that I was teleported to the end but I think there were a few places I had to explore yet. Amazing audio and style, my only complaint is the 'squares' filter over everything, it wasn't too big a deal but I don't think it really adds to the aesthetic.
This is really well done!
Extremely good looking! I was confused when the levels stopped changing and thought it was a bug, but it seems like there's only that one level after the tutorial? It would be nice to have more levels. Otherwise I had a great time, well done.
@dafluffypotato ha! That must be it, three in row were the same. Good to know there is variety. May be nice to put in place a feature so you can't get the same level twice in a row.
Besides the camera flailing about, it was fun! I would recommend flipping the steering when backing up. I at least find that more natural, like in a real car.
Well done!
It was fun! Really good take on the theme. I loved the environment art and the fact that the options were shown in the stained glass was a nice touch. Some of the other art does take me out of the setting though.
Overall, well done!
The mini-games were a lot of fun and well designed. Art and music were amazing as well. My one complaint was that clicking didn't make the text at the beginning move faster and the slow speed was a bit frustrating.
As you have a studio, the quality is high! Great art and great music. I found the gameplay a bit repetitive. I got to level 3.
The art is incredible and I really enjoyed the mini-games too. I didn't quite understand the story at the end but it was atmospheric nonetheless!
Damn! So stylish. Love the sounds/music and graphic design. The controls were a bit floaty at times, but racing easily feels that way. This was a lot fun!
The game was funny with cute art and music! I think with levels and upgrades there would be more replayability.
The game is fun but it would be nice to have more strategy involved, like planning a good route. I liked the sound effects and colour palette!
The large square phase was too punishing, losing all your progress if you misjudge a jump is harsh. I loved the mood and atmosphere though, and the game was designed well to not really need a tutorial! It was clear what I had to do. The spawning of the bugs to eat in the large square phase was interesting, some places had none, and some were swarming.
Overall, good entry. Well done!
The music was a bit repetitive, but I had fun with the gameplay, I got to the end (on normal). I liked picking up the gascans for an extra long boost. Well done!
Loved the music and the cute pixel art, the sudden change to the intense music upon being chased definitely gets you into a panic and running! Well done.
Great ambience, art, sound, but I think the list of dolls to find was too long. It took me a few tries to even get the first few.
Also when I tried to go fullscreen I got an error. Something about "Unity fullscreen error"
I think I both won and lost? I ended up seeing both pictures haha. It was fun! It was hard to tell where exactly I was placing things and where to click to remove the trash, but I still had fun! Funny idea and well done!
Really simple game but well executed. I had lots of fun... until the world exploded that is :)
Loved the atmosphere you made because of the music and art. Everything felt really grungy and dirty, it was great. Twice though I couldn't return to the 'planks' section because I used the shortcut and the planks were no longer accessible. Besides that I had a great time, well done!
Interesting game idea that teaches a lot about voting systems. The later systems were a bit confusing in terms of strategy though so I found myself just clicking to try something. Maybe that's the lesson!
You don't need to hear it from me, but this was awesome! Well done. My only complaint is that I couldn't really tell what was breaking other than my cursor would change to the hand instead of pointer.
I feel accomplished, yet still empty inside. Can this really be called a victory? An achievement? At what cost. At what cost... 3.PNG
It unfortunately didn't really work for me, all I could do was press w to flap my arms, I think I was flapping at least. Congrats on finishing a ludum dare though! Well done!
Cool mechanic, but the collision of the player felt too big and unforgiving.
Well done!
It was confusing at first, since there are no instructions, but I got the hang of it. It would be nice if there was a symbol for the effect that happens to you, rather than just text. Also a timer to tell you when a new effect happens would be sweet!
I loved the art and the animations, very amusing!
Well done! Capture.PNG
@djd123456 @gabriel-chan @ciber-turtle @thomas-yanuziello @stefan-b @don-juan-javier @andrew-everage-s @wazce @matt-swieboda
Thank you so much everyone for playing!
@budda You're right, I should have added a 1 second delay before you can pick an upgrade.
@gerd I know!!! I wanted to add another enemy, a secondary fire (special attack) and more upgrades. Alas such is a jam
@ofiro I know what you mean, I think I should have added something that tells the player it's about to happen, like a 'ding' sound on the last 3 seconds or something
@alexis-brochec Thank you! I loved making this song, I put it together in the last hour haha, I thought I wouldn't be able to make it in time!
@quinn-patrick Thanks for the comprehensive feedback! I agree the buffs for the enemy are unbalanced, You can go REALLY far by just picked the homing and projectile speed ones, then killing the ranged guys before they shoot. Balance is tough in a jam, and I regret not putting more effort into it.
@stvup Thanks for playing!
@thyoi I thought I spent too much time on those but it paid off!!
@bogden Thanks for playing and testing the limits of the game! A balance patch is SORELY needed, and I think I'm gonna release one after I release a bugs patch!
@r3d3r Thanks for playing!
@ryan-dotsikas thanks for playing! I think you just timed the death animation perfectly to your click! You'll blow up anyway .
@stingby12 Yea the balance is a little off for sure, thanks for playing!
@rage-paint-games Thanks for playing and posting!
@thesmellofoxygen Thanks for playing! A little balance would have gone a long way for sure
That was really fun! Definitely felt some vampire survivors in there. I would say the theme was pretty light since I found the minor stat adjustments un-noticeable.
Well done, I had a great time with this.
Sweet little shooter. I blasted through the asteroids and found a bunch of orange ships sitting around and 2 more starbases. Curious!
Well done!
Fun mechanic, especially once it started swapping the ability instead of terrain, that was really fun!
The art was cute and I appreciated the checkpoints. One thing I noticed is that killed enemies stayed dead after going back to a checkpoint.
Well done!!!
Super cute and funny. I built realllll wide then only started going for height after a few minutes. got around 35m.
Well done!
That was SICK! A freaking cinematic opening??? Awesome, this was great. The style was ON POINT!
Well done.
Gotta make this my new profile pic: Capture.PNG
Got stuck where @fiat-ventus did as well after getting the last egg. Sad. I don't want to do the mushroom course again
Great art and atmosphere, I found the light turning off every 10 seconds really frustrating since I had to run all the way back to light it. Not sure how else you could have implemented the theme though.
Well done!
130 seconds! Is there an end? Had a great time. Looked great and the variety of weapons and enemies was great.
Well done!
That was awesome! The mode switching was a lot of fun, and upgrading was fun too :) The guardians on the edge are really mean! Even if you go back into the arena they still hunt you down!
Well done!
Great art direction, music, and humour! I found the controls painful to play with, but otherwise had a good time.
Well done!
AWESOME! That was so much fun. I found the numbers in the middle too distracting, but otherwise it was great. It was really hard to get full clears on level that had tonnes of little rockets, but so it goes.
Well done
Woo that level where you ran around the bends and the whole level moved around, I was not expecting that! It was great. Well done
That was great! It was beautiful and sounded great. The games were fun. I only wish I could see my score!
Well done!
Got 'em! It would be nice if the music looped, but it was little novel.
Well done!
Hoowee some of those puzzles really got the gears turning. I loved it! Well done
I unfortunately could not repair the ship in time and will remain on the planet forever.
Capture.PNG
The mood was intense! Especially in the Abyss. Didn't manage to get to any 'end', but got 40 pearls. Well done!
Interesting concept for a minit-style game. I could see this expanded on into a longer game. It was a little unclear how the respawning mechanics worked, such as them having multiple uses if you defeated more enemies before placing it, but I had a great time.
Well done!
I enjoyed the sound effects, and I think it would be cool if leading up to the next malfunction it would tell you what was going to break, or just a longer break between malfunctions. The player hitbox seemed bigger than I expected and I got hit a couple times just trying to get past enemies.
Well done!
Unfortunately got stuck in the section with the moving platforms, but interesting movement mechanics though a bit floaty. If you didnt, try adding 'coyote time' to allow you to jump after running off an edge for a few frames, that really helps with platformer feel.
Well done and great submission!
"A rusty pipe covered in some kind of liquid' my guess would be water. Well done, relaxing little fish-em'up.
"Oh my fucking god" that was hilarious. Well done you made me laugh so hard. I wasn't able to figure out how to enter a password, seemed hit and miss. Great vibes tho!
Nice job on picking up a new engine and submitting something! I took some photos, uploaded them, then ran off an edge. Just like real life.
@videogamescrapbook Thanks for playing! I was very happy with how it ended up looking!
@sean-esopenko Thanks for playing! Yea they are hard to catch for sure
@mealky Thanks for playing and the kind words, I love the cats too
@rumiaobsessed Thanks for playing! Yea they try to run away from you, and if you're sprinting they will notice you sooner!
@the3rdhunter Thanks for playing! I'm very happy with how the feel of the game turned out, despite my ambitions for multiple levels and such. I did not have time for an in-game tutorial unfortunately!
@braktheman Thanks for playing! The music was my favorite part to work on! And yes, I was trying to evoke doom as much as possible!
@joshedev Thanks for playing! E1M1 was my inspiration, so I'm glad it came through!
@khaotom Thanks for playing! I'm very happy with how the avatar turned out!
@zomk Thanks for playing! I'm glad the art came out like it did! I used a palette generator and it really helped. https://acerola.gg/colors.html
@ciber-turtle Thanks for playing! Real-life accuracy was my #1 goal
@caeonosphere Thanks for playing! Yes you could have! I never implemented the robolandlord seeing you holding a cat...
@rincs Thanks for playing! Yea it can definitely get disorienting! I included sensitivity controls to hopefully help with that
@padlynn Thanks so much for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
@ategon Thanks for playing on stream!
@zee-yuen Thanks for playing! I'm very glad with how the music and art came together.
@shaner421 Thanks for playing. I was trying to get a doom vibe so I'm glad it came across!
@cdunham Thanks for playing, and good job on catching them all!
@lincolnsalles Thanks for playing! I'm sorry about the floor color! I originally planned to have a palette changer but ran into issues with the shader.
@sevenone Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed.
Best use of ai in video games I've seen so far. Excellent work making it relatable. Well done!
I'm spooked! For some reason my character kept slowly turning to the right. Was fun! It would be nice for a bit more contrast in the level design, was sometimes a bit disorienting. I loved it! Well done.
Played this with my partner and we had a good time. Noticed that the left arrow moves BOTH players left  Well done!
Parrying felt great! And the vibe of these (maybe derelict?) stations was spot-on. Great entry.
Very Stylish and great sounding game. Well done on completing and submitting!
What to say that hasn't been said. Great idea and implementation, though having the whole arena drop at the end just results in whoever has their q ready winning! Well done
Very engaging! Great art, and sounds. I'm in love those little egg dudes. Very well done!
Fantastic entry! Vibes were great and it was fun to play. Well done all around.
Nice concept and great art. Very grungy and techy, I loved it. Nice entry!
stuck.PNG
Hilarious opening and music. I noticed when jumping up a straight wall you would get stuck on it, besides that it worked well! Well done
Fun little game, I tried my best to eradicate the goo but it spread too quickly! Good job on completing a game, well done!
Nice arcade game, aiming I felt was a bit difficult and so was seeing enemies coming from below. Had fun with this, well done!
Adorable little puzzler. The ghost was cute and the puzzles were good. Nice entry!
First game so far that has made me laugh out loud. Well done, and nice take on snake. I love it!
Ha! Funny little game, not much gameplay but the humor definitely shone through, well done!
Loved the audio and visual design. I feel like the time between games could be reduced, and time in games could be increased. Great entry!
Loved the art, sound, and voice acting! Having to rewatch the opening sequence was tedious but besides that it was very well made. Well done!
After my third paper I just pumped ads and only ads in until I reached $100. I got a blank grey screen instead of the ending but I assume I did amazingly! It would be nice to see the borders of news so it was more obvious when things overlapped. Well done!
Like others have mentioned, this is definitely unfinished. But I recognize that creating something, ANYTHING (especially in 3d) and releasing it is difficult. I also worked on a 3d game this jam for the first time in my LD experience. Well done on participating and releasing something.
Brain buster this one, took me a sec to understand the quantum aspect, but it was a really nice touch. Well done on this entry!
Nice take on the theme! I liked the voice acting as well. I think an absolute control scheme, rather than having to turn would have been nice. Overall, well done!
Juuuuuuump! Loved it, great little entry. I may come back and try to improve my time...
nice spooky atmosphere, found it pretty hard to time the bombs to kill anything. The jump mechanics were a bit floaty, but hey it was in space
Had a lot of fun with this one!
Pros: - Great music, it speeding up as the timer ran out definitely amped up the pressure - Fun Mechanic - Cute art
Possible improvements: - Placing the Crate at it's sprite, This caused me to misplace a couple times - A way to restart level once you know you've lost it based on the remaining pieces.
I loved how it started out real simple to get you used to it, but quickly it became a game of planning ahead and dexterity! Very well done all around. Bravo
Someone blocked the door!!! Well done and very interesting concept, very good use of the theme. I loved the sound slowly building into a cacophony of voices. Well done!
Sweet little game, enjoyed the presentation of it, and very well done using a new workflow! You did an excellent job, well done.
Enjoyed the art and music, controls were good too. Great entry!
Hey! It looks like you just uploaded the godot source code, not the compiled game.
Nice minigame collection, getting all S's was fun, but the crashes were annoying. I can only blame myself though, you did label the web version 'experimental'. Nice art and sound effects, well done.
@ulziton Thanks for playing! I enjoyed making the music and had been wanting to make a rts-lite game for a jam for a while!
@drahmen Thank you for playing! I tried to dial it back this year in scope and I'm glad it worked out.
@violetdreams Thanks for playing! I loved making the audio! Sitting in my closet recording myself growling for the demon sounds was the best part.
@kenguin Thanks for playing! Tabbing between demons is such a good idea! Yes the castle is weak, since it was difficult to control multiple I wanted it to be destroyable with just a big demon, but obviously that makes it trivial. Thanks for the suggestions!
@ronn-fever Thanks for playing! Yea I'm happy with how the waypoint tower worked out, since exploring the whole map would have been very tedious!
@pwrs Thanks for playing! Yes the overlapping demons and portal was an issue, I should have made the demons take selection priority.
@dobrila Thanks for playing! I think the unexplored map really added an RTS/retro game feel to it that I'm glad is appreciated.
@nbumgardner Thanks for playing! I definitely should have made the scrolling faster
@kaedalus Thanks for playing! Yup! I did not have the time fix that...
@helinatan Thanks for playing! Glad you liked the designs
Cool tower defense game, I enjoyed the idea of mixing elements for effects like freezing, though I wasn't able to find any other combinations. The wave attack is extremely powerful and as soon as I got it I was able to just stand on my crystal and use it as soon as it was available and one-shot everything.
Well done!
Very nice art and I really loved the typing sound effect for the text. Bit of a guessing game sometimes but it was enjoyable. Well done!
This was a blast. A great concept that took some real thinking to get through some of the battles. Unfortunately the skeleton king did me in. I did not expect what he did when I got him to low health...
Well done!
Art, sounds, atmosphere, and gameplay, all very polished. Your team is evidently capable of great things! The mood was off the charts and I enjoyed playing. I'm not sure how much strategy there actually was, but I had fun.
One thing I noticed is that hitting the arrow keys switches between scenes, maybe a debug key left in?
Anyways, very well done!
Quack. With no idea what each part does, it really is just a spam-fest. But a quacking good one. Very amusing and great surprise ending. Well done!
What a great fever dream. Was there any rhyme or reason as to which tool did what to which ingredient? I had to just click everything until the ingredients prepared themselves. But I had a good time doing it.
Well done!
Very interesting and fun to play! I think if you put some more time into this after the jam, it will turn into something really great! Well done!
My only concern was the controls were a bit floaty, hard to turn. (But I guess they probably have the worst qualities of both boats and trains!)
Very interesting idea. It would be nice to know a few recipes off the bat, and one feature that would really streamline the combining process would be clicking on a higher level element, and having the ingredients autofill at the top.
Very fun to play, well done!
Cool game, really good concept. Personally not my kind of game, but there's a lot of polish put into it!
Well done.
Very interesting. One game feature I would suggest is having your actions affect the room. Just small things like turning on the light, or adding a cup with your toothbrush in it to the room.
I enjoyed it, well done!
The music, oh the music. I love it. As for gameplay, the one addition I would make is a minigame while waiting for the car to fuel, like some kind of car tuning minigame.
Well done!
Wow, that was really great! Amazing concept and really well executed gameplay! I loved it.
One potential gameplay feature to add is a button you can shoot to speed up / slow down the game.
I'll be using this to hone my FPS skills for sure!
Well done!
Very well done! Died on my first try cause I thought certain color combos = ammo, didn't even see the button on the right of the screen. Very fun and a good execution of the theme.
Cool! Wasn't expecting this. It was well animated and very fun to fight enemies and explore the world you created. A very fun one-off.
Well done.
Fun idea and well executed!
The only gameplay change I would make is allowing you to hold space to fire, as there is currently no incentive to not hammer space as fast as you can.
Well done!
The idea went well with the writing, I chuckled at the little tidbits that went along with the events, the only problem is that I didn't really have time to read anything, as I had to constantly be on the move. If you make the game pause while you aren't moving, that would let people enjoy your humor!
Well done!
I'm having trouble creating an account/logging in right now.
Thanks everyone! I really enjoyed making it.
@Markram Thanks! For your suggestions, I definitely agree with the resolution/frame, it is quite small. If I do work on this game post-LD at all, more content + frame size are my two largest concerns.
Thanks for playing!
@paulhocker Thanks, was fun to make. The dog sounds came from me sitting in my closet barking to myself and then bit crushing it, I'm very happy how they came out.
Good concept and well executed.
I would like the movement to be slower, as it's hard to not to run into enemies you are trying to kill.
Well done!
