Fun game, the graphics are cute and the gameplay is nice, good job!

good game

Pretty cool! I like how the portals/edges force you to think outside the box in how to hit stuff indirectly, I would've liked to see more done with how the lasers can loop around the edges of the screen too. The sound could also be boosted a bit. Overall pretty nice and cool graphics!

Very nice. Simple mechanics with lots of depth. I hope you continue with this, I'd love to play more levels with new puzzles!

puntocom 2020-10-05 16:14

The game was simple but coherent. I think that with a better level design the mechanics would shine more. Cool idea overall!

Concept and puzzles are fun, good job on that front. One critique is the concept isnt wholly engaging and it takes quite a long time to kill things. Apart from that really good job 👍

Cool game and levels! The particles make shooting things very satisfying.

A kingdom for rapid fire my finger hurts now. But overall, I liked it. The beginning was some nice and simple teaching by playing and example, and some of the later levels had clever puzzles based on the mechanics. Very nice.

very nice game, cool idea

I fought Space Cthulhu and got away with it :sunglasses:

Great atmosphere through art and sound, and the puzzles were engaging. A bit lower time to kill would have been nice though :)

Nice game, relaxing atmosphere, smooth gameplay. As mentioned before, the kill time could be lower, but this is hairsplitting. Good job

I got a little lost, but that's ok!

Cool entry! I loved the cthulhu-eque theming. I really liked the level design and how you could shoot through portals to solve puzzles, along with the intuitive nature of the looping edges of the screen. I liked the particle effect when bullets collide with obstacles, but I felt it was a little unsatisfying not being able to walk and shoot at the same time.

The enemies added a small amount of challenge to the puzzles, but their A.I. was lacking. The last boss was a little underwhelming because you could just stand in one spot and unload on it without risk of dying, but I liked that there was a conclusion to the story afterwards.

Neat gameplay, I guess with the Ctulhu-esque theme there is also a loop somewhere in there, it is just very, very long :-)

Loved the learning curve, I've played a lot of games this jam where it was way too steep.

arkinrev 2020-10-10 01:54

I really enjoyed the single-screen looping, and it was pretty clever the way that you introduced it. Really fun, and it's an interesting mechanic for a puzzle game. Good work!

Nice game, and chill music(: Good job!

raphiell 2020-10-10 21:58

The art style reminded me of flash games of old, and the puzzles were fun! Having to aim before shooting was a bit annoying, and didn't seem to serve a purpose.

Overall, well done and congrats on finishing a game for the jam!

garet 2020-10-10 23:52

That was some really good gameplay. We learn more and more how to play the game just by the level design and that's a sign of promising games.

Really digging the atomsphere that came out of this. It might have been simple but really soothing. For real, if you want to do something with this after the game jam, something good can work for real !

And you should have 20 reviews for now so congrats !

Nice little platformer! I really enjoyed the music, it's simple, but it really sets the mood. At first, I thought the "blood" particles from the enemies was bullets I had to avoid. I think that more puzzle and less enemies (since they are quite rudimentary) would create a more interesting game, it would work best with the general spooky/ambient mood.

demuss 2020-10-15 15:15

Movement and shooting feels clunky but every other aspect is at least good! Art style is nice but sometimes it kind of fucks with the collision of the platforms, effects work well, level design is great and it teaches the player slowly but surely how to play the game, audio is cool. Overal all nice concept, interpretation of theme and entry. GL!
