LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Accelerated Assistant by Local Minimum 2020-10-06T16:45:13Z

The limited controls and the low visibility make the game definitely spooky, but the monster could have been teased a bit more. After being caught two times in the same location, the monster kind of lost it's scaryness?

The atmosphere and sounds were great! (the coin collect sound for opening doors seemed a bit misplaced though)

The Cult of the Broken Clock by ectucker1 2020-10-06T21:03:04Z

Love the idea! Going from the defense to attack phase was really satisfying, it felt like getting payback on the monsters. I think if the monsters would keep coming at you in the attack phase, this would be even more satisfying, allowing the player to clear out a huge cluster of enemies with a bomb. Also I think you could cheese the defense phase by simply circle strafing. Sometimes I didn't use any defensive abilities in a phase.

The Zone by meskaline 2020-10-07T09:24:25Z

The art and story are very inspired by Tarkovksy's Stalker, which is a great idea! The gameplay works and represents the movie, where one character goes ahead to find a safe path for the others. Unfortunately, on lvl 3 I ran out of bolts before the half way point, after which the game became just trial and error.

Maybe you could have incorporated the different characters a bit more? A central part of the source material is how the different characters act in the zone. For example, the stalker has more bolts, the scientist could leave his backpack as a reference point/respawn point, etc.

Overall, a good homage!

Seeker by NateTheGreat 2020-10-10T08:45:33Z

Nice game! I got 7 endings until I didn't have any more clues. The ways you teach the player your mechanics is very subtle, but definitely works. Congrats!

Monotonous by Thesandgamer 2020-10-06T15:52:18Z

The oppressive environment was really atmospheric, and the world becoming more weird every time you went against the rules had me keep playing. It all had a Stanley Parable feel to it. I just wish the objective of the game was a bit more complex than "not doing the thing". But overall, good job!

The Elder Ruins by amkingTRP 2020-10-06T20:27:01Z

I fought Space Cthulhu and got away with it :sunglasses:

Great atmosphere through art and sound, and the puzzles were engaging. A bit lower time to kill would have been nice though :)

False awakening by Robean 2020-10-07T18:26:17Z

Very spooky game, the atmosphere and art are great! Although the game seems to have a difficulty spike when your knife gets taken away again? I couldn't manage to get past the room with the two vases and the rug, without the knife it's almost impossible.

FIND THE LOOP by MiraKazumi 2020-10-06T17:03:08Z

For a first try, this game is actually a pretty good attempt!

The controls felt kind of buggy, which made a lot of the jumps a bit of trial and error. It would also have been nice to see where the gravity gets flipped in the level, so the player can make the decision how the level is traversed. The way it is now had you kind of stumbeling forward to the next available platform, which made the interaction with your core mechanic more unreliable.

The graphics were very nice, I liked the medieval steam punk aesthetics and music. The lighting in the levels made the game very moody. Good job :)

Something to Tell You by Blind Lemon Games 2020-10-07T09:36:20Z

The dream state with it's weird audio, messed up textures, and deliberate rendering artifacts really was a vibe. Also loved the voice acting! Great job!

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Deepeth Woods by colapolka 2021-04-27T09:47:35Z

The art direction is just superb. Combined with the audio, the medieval vibe really comes through.

A bit of a critique of the gameplay: Since attacking stops the character, an attack makes you more vulnerable to enemies. The enemies are all slower than the player, and since there are no "roadblocks" to stop a player, the winning strategy is to just run past everything, and only use the attack for the final boss. Maybe a more fluid attack or a blocking move could help?

Deep Sleep by Jakegames2 2021-04-27T22:21:29Z

Nice art and mood! I got 53320 with lots of button mashing.

Werm - an existential adventure by m11 2021-04-28T15:06:48Z

"Is the cucumber made of water?

Or is the water made of cucumber?", the werm asked.

He screamed (silently), for he does not know.

Lost Contact by DrSkort 2021-04-28T21:26:19Z

Took me a while to beat the game, but it was a good time! Returning to the fisher/submarine Engineer made you learn the layout until you felt ready to go deeper. Every level felt a little different and kept you exploring. My favorite part was doing flips at the surface :D

Monday by Dobrila 2021-04-27T10:16:32Z

Art, sound and music all give the game a coherent mood, good job! Really felt like a zombie apocalypse.

After a while i wasn't sure if I was supposed too just get to the next level, or if I was supposed to clear all the zombies. Since ammo is scarce, I just avoided all the zombies until the next boss. But the levels just kept on repeating? Mondays I guess :)

Dig It! by Elbapotsnugg 2021-04-28T09:26:27Z

Drilling was pretty fun at the start of the game, but after some speed upgrades, the drill got almost impossible to control. Even with turning speed upgraded to the maximum, you couldn't evade the dynamite anymore and just had to hope that the path below was clear. Maybe a warning at the bottom of the screen could help?

Escape From Hell by RedneckChan 2021-04-27T09:26:29Z

Cool graphics, but I think your colliders are broken. I could walk through walls and the ranged enemies could shoot through them.

Templooter by spadekHemoglobiny 2021-04-27T09:58:28Z

The art direction is really good! Love the pixel look and the colors!

I think the enemies could have used some attack wind up. Taking damage by running into enemies resulted in me just standing at a distance while mashing space bar so I wouldn't get hurt. I think the game would feel a lot faster if charging into an enemy was more encouraged, or if there was some way of regaining health :)

OPEN SEA DEEP SPEAR FISHING DELUXE by WhyNot 2021-04-27T09:32:59Z

The art is so cool! Spearing a fish and riding it is lots of fun, if you manage to hit it.

Stranded on planet zod by Pixelipy 2021-04-27T22:36:33Z

A cool little Metroidvania!

I love how bouncy the animation is! Movement with the jetpack was really fun. Also the fog and lighting really delivers on the atmosphere. Good job!

Last stop by Asephy 2021-04-27T13:25:15Z

A somber mood through great artworks and some good writing! The gameplay fits as the repeated inputs let you concentrate on the atmosphere. Love it!

LD49 — Unstable

The bone's line by Jungle 2021-10-12T14:59:23Z

Damn, you start out thinking this is some sort of post-apocalyptic visual novel, and then the end hits you like a brick. This is what games as a medium are able to do! Good job!

Normal Human by Profugo Barbatus 2021-10-13T20:31:34Z

This is a great game of prcedural humour. I was laughing at every phrase that I mangled. The artwork was on point as well. Would love to see more of this! Great job!

I have to agree though that the words were way too small to hit them cosistently. Maybe putting some boxes around the words would make it easier to hit them? Could also have been a resolution issue with Unity.

Edit: The phrase "I loathe SPYING" has now been accepted in our friend group's joke canon.

Tumble Transport Inc. by ToSMaster 2021-10-05T09:56:34Z

@anton4ik-dev @maluskhan Thanks for the feedback! There was indeed a problem with some of the truckers dialogue hiding the dispatch button. I've fixed it now!

Tumble Transport Inc. by ToSMaster 2021-10-15T13:48:52Z

@Satanos This is awesome! Merci beaucoup d'Allemagne!

@wiredoverload Thanks for the feedback! Yes, the interaction system was a bit slapped together. Maybe we should have just done away with click & drag altogether :D

Thanks to everyone for your kind comments and feedback! It really means a lot to us!

Unstable cars by StefGrizzly 2021-10-05T09:15:53Z

Great game! The second level was pretty difficult, I think some more shorter levels could have helped teach the car physics. Took me a while to figure out that you can use Space to jump :D

Magic Miner by m_mae 2021-10-05T17:14:34Z

Fun game! Good looking, and easy to control. The boss fight was challanging but fair. The mechanic of balancing your power level was fun.

I had some trouble telling when I picked up a crystal. Some audio cues for picking up crystals could help, and increasing the range at which crystals are picked up.

Overall very enjoyable!

It is rainy by DeltaMain 2021-10-08T17:44:15Z

Nice game! The interactibility with the environment is great and helps a lot with the setting. I agree that the minigames are a bit too hard for the mood you are trying to convey, and having to memorize the values to put in (the computer doesn't seem to save them?) makes a chill vibe more frustrating. The graphics are great tho! The day/night-cycle and weather is really nice and helps with the immersion.

Total Meltdown by felixgamedev 2021-10-05T09:26:09Z

This was fun! It's pretty hectic to keep all meters at a good level, you need to get into a rhythm of checking every gauge. In the end I always forgot to pull the control rods out again (I should not be a nuclear engineer). I love the decision to put the city you are powering outside of your window. Gives you some context what's on the line if the reactor melts down.

Cranky Robot by SkallyWags 2021-10-05T08:54:01Z

This was fun! The puzzles were interesting, especially combining timing and classic puzzle elements.

I couldn't figure out how to open the red door in a later level, though. The red lever seemed to be out of bounds?

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Shepherd's Island by blinry 2022-04-05T10:06:43Z

This was a really fun puzzle game! The mechanics always had some twist that were introduced well in the levels, the "Aha!"-moments were frequent, and it always felt like you just escaped the flood by the skin on your teeth. Great entry, congratz!

Farming Up by sbackman 2022-04-05T10:26:40Z

Played until level 10, the theme was executed well! A rising tide can even make a farming game exciting lol.

Some feedback: It was difficult to see if the layer you are standing on is about to be engulfed by water, which made some deaths unfun. It was also hard to see which trees are harvestable? I assumed when theres fruit on the tree its ready to harvest, but there seems to be another stage? Also, for an action game like this, the controls made my hand hurt after a while :D Nevertheless, I enjoyed my time with the game :)

Loading... by pixel-fabian 2022-04-05T09:37:22Z

Now I know why my game is always loading this slow...

Really fun to play! Art, music and sound mesh together really well, and fit the theme. Got a high score of 20k. Great job guys!

Noback by AraTheDev 2022-04-05T14:28:02Z

The small hallways and oppressive lighting create a really claustrophobic mood, good job!

I think the walking speed was fine, it's just that the animation is too fast.

Also, on the second map, I assumed that there would be something chasing me after picking up the key. I guess you ran out of time for a monster AI? It was still scary though, and the story had a great twist :)

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Rough Day by PicusBGames 2022-10-05T09:55:15Z

Fun and very polished! Got around 1300 points as my high score. Like others have said, the first time you are playing it is really difficult to find everything. Maybe a tutorial could help where you do every task one after another without a time limit?

Also I managed to fill up my inventory with coffee cups and couldn't do any other tasks that required an item until I got rid of the coffee lol.

Kairos Station Evac by parkuhrmd 2022-10-04T12:57:46Z

Thank you everyone for your comments! All of us are really happy reading your replies :)

@gibss @kyobi we noticed that happening a lot more often in the web build than in the editor, I suspect that the game loop works ever so slightly different in WebGL. Since we are collecting inputs and replaying them in FixedUpdate(), small changes can mess up the path of a crew member. Maybe a hybrid approach of recording input and position could help. Thank you for the input!

LD52 — Harvest

Enchanted Scarecrow Gone Wrong by Skosnowich 2023-01-12T19:04:42Z

It was a lot of fun and while a bit chaotic this exactly made it nice. Great match for the theme and innovative and fun. The farmers scared reaction was amazing!! :D

The Last Outpost by Joror 2023-01-12T19:25:24Z

This was a lot to take in. But I can see the love and effort you have put into all the graphics, ui, mechanics and elements. It sure is impressive! The graphics and atmosphere was overwhelmingly fitting! The writing gets an A+! This could have used a tutorial tho.

The Dark Forest and the Memories of Harvest, of One Autumn's Days by Tygrak 2023-01-14T11:18:29Z

This is how I imagine David Lynch would grow his potatoes. Seriously, this had some amazing visuals! The sequence where the sun roamed across the long walkway? Amazing!

Hobby Gardener by Yngvarr 2023-01-12T20:20:04Z

It took a moment to understand the gameplay, but was really nice afterwards. I would love to play some more while working towards some goal. Its a really cute little game.

ORGAN GRINDER by Xeke-Death 2023-01-12T20:02:38Z

Wow, this is great! This is going back to that era of shooters where your loadout was wacky and creative, great job embracing that! The amount of content you have is impressive, kudos to you!

Endless Harvest by sonicpixelation 2023-01-12T20:10:59Z

Very nice that you could show the tutorial during the game. Interesting approach to use a card game for the harvest theme. Sadly I did not understand why I lost and why the pest control card didnt work like the irrigation card. Nice game though!

Escape From The Ostrobothnia by Tomssuli 2023-01-12T19:16:33Z

It's amazing that you did all this in a game jam, this already feels like a full game :D Driving around with the harvester felt good, and being able to harvest the monsters was a fun surprise!

Spaceman Spam's Delivery Service by sillyman987 2023-01-12T19:32:06Z

A Necromancer's Guide To Happy Farming by TRUEchips 2023-01-12T21:16:37Z

I really liked the art, especially of the main character. The music was well matched and made for a happy farming game. Some really fun puns i had to share with others :D A bit too much text though for my taste. Great game overall, keep up the good work!

cool game

Solar Harested Sun.png

Soul Gardener by taikinaaa 2023-01-12T20:37:02Z

A fine little game. The graphics and aestetics were fitting and the flowers were a moment of respite before I plunged myself back into the action! The difficulty was fitting and a natural escalation. Tho the enemys were not as much a stuggle as the controls. I wish I had more control over my shooting direction. Mean of those enemies, that they get to shoot diagonaly while I could not :(

Traumascape by Qooorti 2023-01-12T21:33:23Z

This was geniunely unsetteling. The dream effect was really spooky! Good job on the mood!

LD53 — Delivery

A Backyard Scramble by Bea 2023-05-03T21:19:03Z

This was such a fun little game, the way the chickens kept jumping at you, throwing eggs around, pure chaos! I especially liked that losing some eggs was not a big deal since you could collect more than enough on your way. Really added to the mayhem of the whole thing! Of the games I played so far, this is the first one I was smiling all the way through. Good job!

Newton Logistics by parkuhrmd 2023-05-02T07:47:27Z

@bartekde I'm glad you enjoyed it! We had some difficulty with Unity physics, which causes this "jump" from time to time. We also had to limit the amount of cargo due to this. Thank you for the feedback!

To: Tony by miraculousMelon 2023-05-02T14:32:07Z

Why are the packages talking to me? What DID I become??

Loved it all the way through! Thanks for not including a time limit, makes it a lot more chill than Papers Please and allows you to read all the little jokes you put into this. Well done!

RecoDeli by Krzyhau 2023-05-02T22:01:52Z

Challenging but fun! Especially the explosives are unforgiving, but since the physics work well, making ever so slight adjustments made the robot's movement very satisfying. Reminded me of building PF maps in Trackmania ;D

The visuals and sound are also on point for this. Well done!

LD57 — Depths

Focal Depth by parkuhrmd 2025-04-09T11:20:44Z

@leophyte Thanks for the in-depth (ha) suggestions! I'm sorry for the soft lock, we will test it again and push a fix. The other suggestions are all good points. I will have to check the camera focus code again if anything is wrong. The popups should be an easy fix :)

Focal Depth by parkuhrmd 2025-04-09T11:22:29Z

@bakuzen Thank you for the kind words! Maybe there was a problem with a game controller that was plugged in? I don't think we tested for that. I'll look into it.

LD58 — Collector

Fish Feud 2 by Phobos001 2025-10-17T22:15:15Z

At level 3, the controls clicked for me, at which point the game was actually very fun to play! I figured out how to roll around, move backwards and shoot at the pursuing enemies, which felt like a very efficient tactic. The boss fight was a little inconsistent, as most times, hits did not register as damage, which dragged the whole fight by a lot.

Bug Bequest by Bea 2025-10-09T09:33:38Z

Good job overall! Kudos to the environmental storytelling, that was my favorite part :)

Excavation Sierra by parkuhrmd 2025-10-07T21:04:22Z

@pro4 The final score is your remaining money times 100. So the best score while buying all upgrades and damaging no bones is $78,300 (Nice job, @kazuren!), but in theory you could just buy the trowel and start digging blind, which would get you up to $204,100. I hope nobody does that.

Excavation Sierra by parkuhrmd 2025-10-07T21:11:47Z

@nicekot Thanks! The brush works a lot faster if you wiggle it with the mouse, but I admit that the mechanic is not telegraphed well.

Excavation Sierra by parkuhrmd 2025-10-08T21:16:41Z

@bea Thanks, I still remember your chicken game! Yes, the bones hit boxes are a bit wonky at times, but the brush usually clears it up :)

Do Needles Dream of Electric Haystacks? by Jaco van Hemert 2025-10-09T11:09:03Z

I had to set this one aside for when I had the time to properly immerse myself in the case. When you take the time though, it is an exemplary deduction game! The clues never felt "on the nose", and had enough "Aha!"-moments. The timer added an element of pressure, where you had to focus on one or two clues to follow up on in the short time. The writing was also just really good!

I couldn't figure out the second clue for the financing (I only got that one email), which made the last few days a little frustrating. I was sure the second clue must have been that one interview with the CFO, but it didn't confirm. Is there a solution posted somewhere?

Supergalactic Trash Collector by 7uc4s 2025-10-13T21:24:02Z

Great game! My favorite part was pulling large asteroids and the suspiciously asteriod-shaped underwear (took me way too long to find). The sound design and visual effects were amazing! Also big thanks for the controller support and the Linux build :) My only complaint would be that turning seemed too sensitive with a controller, which made aiming at a distance pretty difficult. Otherwise, excellent entry!

Limb by Limb by Electric Sun 2025-10-11T09:17:58Z

Deep Conversation by Paulsams 2026-04-26T07:58:37Z

Loved the game and actually stuck to it to try to solve it. I was stuck on the last puzzle ...

!> ... figuring out how to tell the kraken I was coming in peace: I only got the connection that aggression = denial after reading the comments here. I think "aggression" might be misleading. Things i tried in the end: "I destroy pain", "I move joy", "I give joy", inverting "destroy" using the wave functions, asking "you destroy question" back (it replied with aggression, but I misinterpreted that as, well, aggression).

Still, I can only critique the implementation, the idea is still very solid and with a bit of play testing, this could be an amazing language puzzle game!

Great game! I had a little trouble understanding which building affect which other buildings positively or negatively. maybe some form of visual indicator that shows that a building is being negatively affected by its neighbour would be helpful. Also, a graph showing if a resource is depleting or increasing over time might help figure out what to build next. Otherwise, this was engaging and kept you interested the whole way through! Also the sounds were very satisfying!

Hijack Waves by JuanRod707 2026-04-22T16:51:47Z

This was a really fun game and very engaging! The concepts are easy to grasp and create really interesting situations that always keep you on your toes. I wish I could block signals to the relay boats! I had to tap out on Mission 4 due to the difficulty, but I got around 2.5k points on Mission 3, which I was very proud of. Nice entry!

Very cool game! Audio and graphics were on point. Those ventilation failures are getting REALLY frequent in the late game, though!

Searching for Signal by BalimaarTheBassFish 2026-04-21T16:22:51Z

This was a lot of fun, and you can tell that a lot of effort went into this! Great entry! The artwork was beautiful and the atmosphere was on point. The camera could have been zoomed out a bit, so that you can better tell where you are landing after a jump.

As a heads up: I got killed while in dialogue when collecting scrap and it soft locked my game. And I only found out afterwards that you can shoot with the mouse...

Signal Hunting by iphelf 2026-04-21T15:54:44Z

An interesting take on the theme, I enjoyed hunting the rogues, but as other commenters said, it was hard to figure out what happened after you win or lose. Maybe a replay system where you can see what the invisible rogues were doing might help understand the mechanics better. My winning strategy was using the beacon to lure rogues to my position and then stomping when the signal got loud. That got me through the campaign, but was difficult for the endless mode without retries lol.

Still, a very good entry! Thanks for the Linux version as well!
