LD59 — Signal

Human in the middle by Colisan 2026-04-25T22:21:18Z

Screenshot 2026-04-26 011359.png

Having to hold the buttons instead of clicking made it surprisingly difficult! I wish receiving the message didn't take such a long time. Also I wish the suspicion would rise faster in the late game because right now there's not much reason to use max speed other than just less waiting time. Otherwise pretty epic game! :D

Router Wilds by Brainoid 2026-04-25T23:34:37Z

@ruddiculous thank you for the feedback! btw you can also rotate using the scroll wheel which leaves the WASD in place ;)

LD53 — Delivery

Popcorn Odyssey by 0X_VOID_X0 2023-05-04T01:06:01Z

Really satisfying when you are able to go fast!!, but the bees really slow thing down. (Maybe make them faster, or at least make them faster once you are attached to them) :)

RogueLike Delivers by Ausstein 2023-05-14T02:07:28Z

Great submission. I found the combination of camera angle, controls, and combat rather odd. It has the camera angle of a third person game, but the mouse controls of a typical top-down point & click rpg/rts game. I have seen 3rd person WASD controls, top-down WASD controls, top-down mouse controls, but never a 3rd person mouse-controls. I think the main problem is that with a 3rd person camera & mouse controls there is no way to rotate the camera and see things behind you.

The combat system is currently that where you have to repeatedly click on the enemy to attack. I think it would be helpful to lean either to the "click on enemy and it will automatically attack that enemy until they die or you click elsewhere" combat style (like runescape), or alternatively a system where you do have to click each time, but each click is a challenge (for example skillshots), so that it would not feel like repetitive clicking.

I AM FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! sub 55 seconds

https://youtu.be/tjSOWlVC7ck

Amazing game, insanely high skill ceiling. Insane depth to the hook/gravity mechanic, I kept finding new strategies & routes when I though there were none left. Still have so many strategies out of my pay grade that could achieve sub 50s or even 45s (according to the sum of best segments)

Took ~10 hours, I'll come back to it if someone beats it

Sky Drop by HagamosVideojuegos 2023-05-03T16:18:25Z

Very interesting idea & cool game! I found it difficult to judge where the package will land, a shadow (straight below) the balloon/package would be nice :)

Crystallium by MikoziQ 2023-05-03T16:30:35Z

Really nice entry! One thing that confused me was that the obstacles and the collectibles have exactly the same color, it took me a couple tries until I stopped bumping into random objects trying to collect them.

Also the green deposit place confused me for a bit. Now that I've played for a bit I think it only works if you have enough gems collected, but at first I though I was just missing it or it was bugged. Maybe it should have some indication. :)

C.R.A.B. signal by unkilledshadow135_Alex 2023-05-02T21:27:16Z

Interesting story & concept. Aside from confusing UI/controls that others have mentioned I see 1 problem with the game:

The way you play the game at the moment is you send the signal from one tower to the next one by one. This means that it doesn't really matter that the bouys control multiple towers since you only care about the tower you currently are going to shoot from.

Maybe you could make it so that when you send the signal it immediately goes through all of them. Then it would turn it into a classic "Lights Out" game!

Also I see you there, Mr. "Button" crab_button.png

C.R.A.B. signal by unkilledshadow135_Alex 2023-05-03T13:25:00Z

@unkilledshadow135-alex Haha, it's in the very first tutorial screen with the text explanations :)

Deep Sands Delivery by Rjdrag 2023-05-02T21:45:54Z

Really interesting concept! I love the feeling of moving on the rig through the desert.

There's not much to do however while its traveling. Maybe you could take inspiration from "Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime" and be able to walk up to a turret and take control of it!

Spooky journey by SkelleRoznik 2023-05-02T20:21:46Z

Nice color palette & graphics, but maybe the king's cart blends in with the background too much - took me a while until I noticed it was there .

It was strange that the attack key was on z - I would either have to keep my right hand under my left hand using WASD, or be forced to play with the arrow keys.

The flying level was definitely the most interesting for me as the cart moved and I was forced to move with it, maybe the cart could also move on the other levels (like drive horizontally).

Also with most enemies coming from above you it would be nice if you would have a vertical attack (like in Hollow Knight).

DElive by IcyLava 2023-05-13T23:34:03Z

Great game, although the repeating levels is an artifact of the LD time limitation I really like it as it allows you to develop strategies for different levels and then put those strategies to the test in the same but increasingly difficult scenarios.

Deliver Us From Evil by F1Krazy 2023-05-14T01:28:30Z

Nice game & great art. But really unintuitive controls, almost game up at the menu after 2 mins of pressing all keys on the keyboard  Also strange that you have to press up to activate a lever.

Punchline Crunchtime by Jack Sims 2023-05-04T01:11:22Z

Fun game! You should attach screenshots so more people would play it

Olith by Enver Arco 2023-05-02T21:37:31Z

I think moving drone around the cave is too easy, maybe it would be more fun if it was physics based where it would drift a little after you release your input.

Also I pressed space in the middle of delivering and lost the package, maybe you should remove the ability to accidently drop things, or turn it into a mechanic where you can grab stuff and throw it at enemies

RELEASE THE MEAT by NuiN 2023-05-04T00:42:10Z

Great game, I wish I could see the level first otherwise I don't really know what to build at first.

Rawnhill Post by grizeldi 2023-05-04T04:02:09Z

Wow really creative game mechanic & fun levels. The only small feedback that I could give is that its a little bit annoying having to hover the mouse over a car to know what packages it's holding. Would be nice to see them all at once all the time so its easier to strategize.

Maybe you could have the packages in the trunks of the car and the packages could be color coded. Something like this

cars.png

Popostee by LouieJams 2023-05-04T04:13:27Z

Really awesome art style! I was confused for like 2 minutes until I tried clicking the right mouse button (ye I know you put it in the description, I'm guilty!). One problem for me is that that the constant left clicking is starting to hurt my wrist  :skull:

Juggle Mail by kuviman 2023-05-13T23:42:34Z

Pack 'em UP! by Timbaleek 2023-05-04T20:34:09Z

Nice game! Here some feedback:

- Currently the optimal strategy is when picking up an item immediately start building another one (E + Space) which doesn't require any thinking or strategy. I would be cool if there were more opportunities to think strategically. Perhaps the items could expire (like food overcooks in Overcooked) if you leave them too long - There door to the outside is not very obvious, took me like 2 minutes poking at random stuff until I found I can go outside

- The description says don't deliver a bomb, but the game asks to deliver a bomb.. I'm confused :D

- Also I'm no game design expert (and definitely not a pixel artist  ), but heres some feedback from my play session. All the things that had me confused for ~1 minute each. And comparing it to overcooked confusion.png

All in all I think it would be great if it was more obvious what I can and can't do. If a box is for decoration - place it behind a wall so I definitely know I can't do anything with it

If there is a door - make some light shine though it, add some arrow, have npcs walk through it :D

PAPERCUT by moonsheep 2023-05-02T17:18:21Z

The vibe is really REALLY cool, but its quite difficult on the controls - I get stuck a lot and have to press 2 buttons to shoot stuff :D I got to climb on top of the end game level, would have been a perfect spot to hide an easter egg!

Disk Dasher by Andreadbx 2023-05-05T01:57:41Z

Chaining multiple balloon dashes feels really good!! But its really hard to get to them, and doesn't feel like the optimal strategy if you want to deliver as many disks (cuz it takes so long to get to them). I wish it was because its the most fun part of the game

S.T.O.R.K. by ragnor 2023-05-02T20:32:39Z

Interesting control mechanic that I've never seen before! Maybe instead of having to pause & unpause for each action, you could remove the button all together and automatically pause the game while the mouse is down and you're choosing your trajectory.

Tracks 'n Bandits: Haulin' Cargo by Terquey 2023-05-02T20:45:05Z

Nice idea! The rocks and cactuses we're a little unintuitive, I though the train would hit them when transitioning.

Maybe instead of the whole train transitioning at once you could create a rail between 2 tracks and each wagon would switch at that location. This way your whole train wouldn't teleport through rocks and cactuses

Mt. Deliverest by QwillaK 2023-05-04T04:32:04Z

Incredible game! Need more levels !! Only small issue is the part where the camera starts scrolling between screens, it goes quite fast and its hard to aim with the mouse and do anything during it. I'd prefer if the camera would just always follow the player scrolling slowly.

Hell'o-Cargo by agudar 2023-05-04T00:29:28Z

GG can't wave dash. No but seriously an incredible game , one small thing: idk if I'm just bad or if crouch throw (to put a box in place) does not always work.

Flap, Flap, Drop! By Equal Energy And Lachlan5150 (Purplishlilac) by EqualEnergy 2023-05-14T01:35:37Z

Nice entry, but at the moment the flapping mechanic is not very engaging. There's no obstacles so you can just always spam jump without thinking.

SatisfAction - The Ultimate Marble Machine by MarkAis 2023-05-02T21:49:37Z

@skelleroznik good catch on the UI blocking the most important area of the screen! I'll have to think about moving it somewhere else.

SatisfAction - The Ultimate Marble Machine by MarkAis 2023-05-03T13:27:57Z

SatisfAction - The Ultimate Marble Machine by MarkAis 2023-05-03T16:05:15Z

@resacagames Haha, yeah I should definitely ease out the difficult so people could learn the mechanics in peace and just admire the marbles

SatisfAction - The Ultimate Marble Machine by MarkAis 2023-05-03T23:12:00Z

Holy moly! So much great feedback, never expected this from my first Ludum Dare game  I've improved on some of the most frequent issues and **release a new IMPROVED version!** While also keeping the original jam version available.

@b4ux1t3 Thanks glad you enjoyed it!

@nozomu57 I got a lot of great feedback about the camera angle and the shadow not being visible. I was able to make the regular view higher and also more down turned so you can see the shadow in the middle of the screen. I think this is a great improvement!

Also I reduced the initial difficulty by a lot so more people could enjoy the wonders of marbles  While having the difficulty exponentially increase later on in the game for sweaty gamers like me :)

@klausklapper Haha thank you so much. Lots of great suggestions! I'm really considering making a full version of the game after the jam, I've really enjoyed the development and it seems others like it too :D

@archaeognathus Glad you liked it. I agree the claw can be hard to hit sometimes. I've increased the hitboxes so it's easier too aim. It's satisfaction we're looking for not frustrating claw gameplay Haha :D

@welsharess @norah Thanks for playing!! :)

Also after watching a couple of people play it (Huge thanks to @rincs and @spacespytv), I noticed other common issues, so I added better feedback when you do something wrong, I added range indicators for towers, and made the Satisfaction meter less ambiguous.

Then you can grab them with the claw and position them anywhere around the map to help you out

The Simple Life: Expedited Edition by Somniac 2023-05-02T01:51:06Z

Really fun collecting the crops and drifting on the fields! It would be cool if more stuff was destructible, I found myself getting stuck on tiny things many times :D

Machine Meltdown by Stefan Funke 2023-05-14T02:19:06Z

Just played the jam & post jam versions. Great improvements, I really like the added telegraphing to the shoot mechanic and faster respawning. One thing is that the fist that land should definitely be targetable, it feels really weird that they are not.

Ouija by DrunkardWolf 2023-05-02T19:41:04Z

Probably the first horror game that I got past the menu screen - all for the sake of LD53  Thankfully the demon was chill about it, maybe you could add a more engaging mechanic to defeat it (maybe it could move and you would need to track it with the mouse). All in all really awesome!

Parcel Blaster 2099 by graebor 2023-05-02T20:56:21Z

Awesome overall feel! One thing from the side of gameplay is that I found myself just always holding the brake down - it slows the game down and running out of fuel is never a problem. It would be nice if you could find a way to fix it

Devious Delivery by RNGames 2023-05-04T03:38:28Z

Fun game mechanic & nice game! The robots turn the corners really quickly so its sometimes a little frustrating when you feel like you know the solution but cant precisely position behind the box before they turn on you in like 1 millisecond

Hive by blank_3D 2023-05-02T17:47:19Z

Robot Factory by emrod 2023-05-02T19:59:00Z

I saw you also made a game about a claw like me and had to click  Great work for it being your first 3D Godot game! Completing the packages is fun, but sometimes the parts I need never come.

CUBE RUNNER by itsBoats 2023-05-13T23:51:01Z

Fun game & great esthetic. I think it could benefit from more simple arcade style controls - more snappy, faster turning, no roll control (could be adjusted automatically), easier recovery when you hit things / get stuck. Right now it feels like I'm controlling a NASA mission

Rail Blazer by alanxoc3 2023-05-04T06:16:19Z

PolyMancer by MarkAis 2024-05-07T00:49:06Z

Hey @avi !

I used a custom solution for recognition, which is based of a video/code by Sebastian Lague - "How to Create a Neural Network". I do the following: 1. The user draws a shape which is made out of points connected with lines. 2. Then after the drawing is done, I normalize the point positions: scale all the points to fit in a 1x1 square. 3. I rasterize the points and lines into a 28x28 black and white image. *This is done by running a pixel to line distance algorithm for each pixel & line of the drawing and mapping that to a color. This is best done using Compute Shaders but had to use CPU for WebGL version :/* 4. I then use the image as inputs to a Convolutional Neural Network (from the above example). *There was a special case with lines as if you draw a line along the horizontal/vertical axis, when normalized the horizontal/vertical imperfections will be very exaggerated and can look like another shape. If small width/height of the drawing is detected it assumes it's a line an no further classification is done.* I got a FAQ with more technical questions on the discord if you're interested :)
