Nice graphics! I think that the game is kinda fun, but it's kinda repetitive.
A bit of criticism here, I think the gameplay mechanics are not as engaging as they could be, I found myself often standing in one spot and hitting the attack key, I wish they were more enemy types or more varied gameplay, maybe something that takes advantage of the wide horizontal space and the platforming some more. I think the art still is really well done, especially how the foreground elements easy to distinguish and the beautiful style, I could be wrong but I feel like you spent more time on art then on gameplay, at the end of the day no jam game is perfect and I did enjoy the story and how the king doesn't threaten to cut your head when you're rude with him because he has no choice lol, good work
Nice color palette & graphics, but maybe the king's cart blends in with the background too much - took me a while until I noticed it was there :smile:.
It was strange that the attack key was on z - I would either have to keep my right hand under my left hand using WASD, or be forced to play with the arrow keys.
The flying level was definitely the most interesting for me as the cart moved and I was forced to move with it, maybe the cart could also move on the other levels (like drive horizontally).
Also with most enemies coming from above you it would be nice if you would have a vertical attack (like in Hollow Knight).
My favorite game so far in the jam. Even tho it was a simple concept, it kept me engaging all the way through the play. Stunning art, great music and sfx. LOVED the writing and the overall story and concept, haha. Congratulations!!
Graphic is nice! It seems to me that the texts sometimes lack indents. Reading is difficult. And can make a dialog skip on the buttons? Anyway great job!

at first reaction the game is nice, love the colors and textures. And the little plot was interesting. the gameplay did get a bit repetitive after the first wave I'll say, would have been nice to see some more actions! I could see this turning into an awesome action/story game in the future

The gameplay was a bit too repetitive, and maybe a bit too difficult/unfair, mostly because of the collision boxes (ennemies that hit the carriage before reaching it and sword slash not hitting ennemies while it look like it should).
Not to bad - Just when I felt it was getting stale, the balloon segment introduced some verticality and new considerations. This was fun to play, but I do feel the hurtbox for your attack could do to be tightened up - Trying to hit enemies that are very close to you is an exercise in frustration, which made jumping attacks on anyone not horizontal to you unreliable at best.
I really love the vector art style of this game, it makes the whole picture look more concise and bright. The design of each scene and character is excellent and eye-catching. Great game!

The graphics and art were all top notch. Really excellent consistency and a clear visual style. The gameplay could use a bit more variance - it was kind of easy to stand in one spot and spam the attack key. I also think having some contrast on the player could help with visibility. But these are nit-picky, this was a fantastic game!
A cool entry, I especially liked the visuals of the game - really nicely done: consistent and nicely contrasted. Indeed agree with other the different maps could have been a bit more different in terms of approaches, strategies to be played to keep some variance. The music-audio was great but did not fully matched the very fast style combat and-or the spooky theme. So for such a fast pace action game would have imagined loud sword swing, blood spill and body hit sounds. Or with this visual style instead of removing the particle effect after hit, maybe would have kept it red and left it all across the screen to make it look like a difficult fight arena.
Cool game, I loved the graphics and the knockback when you hit an enemy. After a while I thought how cool it would be, if the cabin would move along the map, only to see it to do so in the last level. Good Job :)

Just a little issue: The font isn't clearly legible!
Oh and the funniest part of the game, which is the moment with the flying caravan, comes too late.
