A well-designed game, it reminds me of Root Beer Tapper in trying to fulfill orders for endless customers. The arrow press effects are heavy with gore but that fits with the topic. The audio and visual cues are on point too. Well done!

The game is quite fun, I liked it. The UI at the top is cut off, but that seems to be an issue with all Unity games on this website (by the way, if anyone figures out how to fix that, tell me, I have the same issue in my game). There should be some sort of penalty for hitting a wrong button, like losing 1 second of time for example, at the moment mashing arrow keys is a much better strategy than actually playing the game properly.

Haha, love the theme idea and its a nice game too. I Got only 15 babies out, but other than that it's nice. Expanding on that idea, you could implement golden or silver babies or parents that pay you more, if you help them early on. Some incentive to choose babies to pull could be fun. But for a base game, it's a nice speedy game.
@potatocouch I've noticed that every embedded game I've played is cut off for some reason. If you scroll down a little bit in the embed window there is a full screen button that fixed the problem. I definitely agree there should be some penalty for hitting wrong buttons.
@greenphox I think you're right. As of right now there's no reason to have 4 beds. I should make it so they explode or something if they don't get helped fast enough.
@zenbreaker 15 is a good score! My highest ever is 16. I think you're right - there needs to be a reason to choose a certain parent over another. Good ideas.
Really nice core loop, cute graphics. The chippy SFX and particles add a lot.

pretty creative use of the theme. i think the green particles whenever you got the key right were a bit too distracting but other than that the game looks and plays pretty good.

Great use of the theme. :smile: A simple but solid game loop. It was quite fun to see my self get better at responding to the prompts. It would have been nice to see some escalation of difficulty the further you got.
Obviously games involving delivering babies are the best use of theme! I liked the mechanic with pressing the arrow keys. It would be nice if it was a little clearer how long you get and what happens if you get the wrong arrow key etc. really good entry though.
Cool little game! Really comes together with the gameplay and art style and everything. Got 11 babies on my first try. Had fun!
Very arcade-y I love it! It's so simple but it really keeps you on your toes. I had a really good time, gameplay was smooth and the audio visual response was well done.
I have maybe one thing I would change. I would probably add some punishment for pressing the wrong arrow, because after playing for a while, I figured out, that you can easily exploit the game by literally smashing your keyboard like 10 times randomly, and the baby comes out in 2 seconds. But it's okay, that's not how you should play it, but in case you want to release this on steam or something, I would add the punishment mechanic :)
Really funny game! I wouldn't have thought of this if i made a hundred games for this jam! It would be better if there was an actual background but at least in my imagination it makes it 100 times funnier!

Nice game. I managed to never press a single wrong button! Didn't really achieve a high score though...
I ended up swapping between the two botton beds, ignoring the two on top completely. Maybe some "urge" mechanic could be added, so you have to take care of everyone in time.
Nice fun and simple gameplay loop. I didn't realize you had to press multiple buttons to deliver a baby at first and got confused. I also wish there was some sort of penalty for hitting the wrong button. Otherwise, great job!
Fun game! Very easy to get in to, and instructions were clear. There should be a penalty for pressing an incorrect button, as you can mash every of the four buttons and you can get the baby out very fast! I see you experimented with putting the baby back when you're wrong. You could also decrease the timer for example. Keep it up though, I enjoyed it!

I chuckled out loud when I saw that this game was about delivering **babies**! That is a hilarious take on the theme. The gameplay itself was pretty straightforward and the sound effects were good. I played the game three times in order to try to beat my high score so that says something. Only real complaint is I discovered that I could just mash all the arrow keys without penalty. Some background music might be a good addition too.
I got 18 by spamming all the arrow key. I think maybe a limit on the amount of mistakes you can make would be more balanced if you think going back a whole step is too hard. Overall very fun

Very silly idea - 'hyper-realistic' indeed! Surprisingly addictive, trying to optimize my route between patients, and lock down a rhythm to accurately pull the correct direction.
Between the sfx, the particles, and the color palette - this game is very juicy! It feels fantastic to play.

I love everything about this, I really do! The simple spritework combined with the easy to understand QTEs. I could really pictures this as a game made in the 80s for the spectrum of the like! Nice one!

I got scared when I got red particles, brutal :smile: But good game, I think inputs could be on the bottom or had some margin they were kind of too close to top for me. But good twist on the theme and good game!

Some advices： You can add timer for every pregnant women. Reduce the rate of pregnant women appear at the beginning. Add a stroller on top,the two pregnant women on top is too far away,i never want to help them:)

I definitely wasn't expecting a game like this when this theme was released but it was a pleasant surprise, the game is fast paced and you have to pay attention to what buttons you are pressing to make sure you don't mess up, I love games that have that style of challenge with the changing buttons so you can't memorize the pattern. It was a very funny way of doing this theme and I loved playing it! Great game! Keep up the good work!
Love it, a nice simple idea, and is highly amusing. Could be expanded to put timers on delivery time per lady, and to randomly place the baby delivery cart.

Today was a tough day; I delivered 13 babies. The only thing I regret is the red bloodthirsty particles that were released when pressing incorrectly; I hope I didn't harm any child. Great game!

This is such a fun interpretation of the theme!! i really enjoy the sound effects as they are very satifying along with the particle effects! a game balancing thing though is that the arrow keys can be spammed to get the baby out, but its kinda fun seeing the (assumed) bloodbath

lol what did I just play???? I like the idea of this game and how they get up so casually and leave XD, very simple but funny and innovative, it could use some more mechanics, but I think it's pretty decent as it is for a jam-game, nice work!

Love the idea of the theme and it's a nice game too. I get a lot of babies. But the game could be more selective and varied. Welcome to play my game too.
That was a rush. i felt like an obstetrician. my fingers hurt from spamming the arrow keys since there isn't really a penalty for getting an input incorrect. I managed to squeeze out 25 babies without even getting my clothes dirty. the women are all grateful and i just got a pay raise and a new nickname: "really good at delivering babies". It was satisfying, even the repetitive sound effects got me in a bit of a groove and rhythm and I love seeing the cart fly away and a new one fly in. Great job.

Very simple game done well. I think a leaderboard would have added a lot. Maybe some more sound effects like crying babies or screaming ladies would improve the mood and humour. Otherwise, well done.

COOL GAME! this is the type of game i'll play once i die in a game
The sense of speed in all elements within the game is excellent. By presenting the commands one by one, an unpredictable scene is reproduced, giving a sense of presence. The sound effect of footsteps is also very cool.
Really nice ! It works really well and I find it funny ! Good take on the theme also.
