Air Delivery by pianoman373 2023-05-03T05:51:17Z

What a delight! Loved the graphics, the music, and really all of the vibes - and very fun that it's on the pico-8! It also feels really complete :D

My only (small!) gripe is that I found needing to re-tap up to grab ladders midair to be unintuitive and so for a while I figured I was taking the wrong approach until I figured out I had to re-press the key instead of just having it held.

Superfetch Dog by benjamin 2023-05-03T06:38:51Z

Oh wow I adored this - so impressed that it's a jam game. The music is great and the graphics are lovely and the world just feels so _vibrant_ - delightful!

My one gripe so far is that I found it pretty hard to manage the tree-climbing ability - it's hard to place why, but the controls just didn't feel intuitive to me (maybe because I had to stand in just the right spot? maybe because 'up' was mapped to something else too? idk) and I ended up regretting it when I took that power.

Paper Guy by cortexdeveloper 2023-05-01T20:17:09Z

This was fun! I got wrecked on my first try and then picked up how to play a little better - felt fair once I got the hang of it (and I wanted to play more when I lost)

Air Shipping by Hare Software 2023-05-02T04:31:18Z

Oh my god I love the vibe of this game! The art is really really excellent, the music is great, the voice acting is good, and I love how the UI fits together. Had a lot of fun beating it. The game didn't feel too challenging once I got the hang of it - it could be nice if I felt a little more stretched while playing it. But really just so impressed with how polished the game feels for a jam project :)

Snapdash by caeonosphere 2023-05-03T06:05:22Z

Really fun little puzzler! I got 7,500 - 108,000 must have taken you a while!

Good vibes to the soundtrack and having your primary sound be a _super_ satisfying "click" when I've done something right is really lovely. I love the click.

Am I hallucinating or did you allow pieces to be horizontally reflected and still accepted? Feel like at some point I had a J instead of an L and the game took it and I appreciated it in the moment :)

Broken News by Noobot9k 2023-05-02T06:30:18Z

Really fun to be pushed to multitask this hard! That dog keeps getting me tho. And I like the art work!

Juggle Mail by kuviman 2023-05-02T17:26:18Z

Loved this! The mechanic is simple but fun and I like being pushed to juggle harder, and I found the art style charming :)

K-SANDWICH by mmatt_ugh 2023-05-02T06:15:37Z

Really loved this - _so_ satisfying to just move around and punch folks :)

Dimensional Delivery by DarkWolf 2023-05-02T06:22:58Z

Loved the ASCII tileset - very fun and different vibe. And I appreciated how fast the game was to pick up, understand, play, and beat - really satisfying to just sit down and solve it :)

Deliver the baby! by Enad96 2023-05-02T04:43:03Z

lol I _love_ all of the voice lines that enemies say as they see you - feels very oldschool in a really fun way, and kinda reminds me of gecs lol

Parcelmecium by Bokonon 2023-05-02T06:06:01Z

Cute! The art style and the music really compliment each other and the game / are very nice. I did have some trouble getting used to the and it took me a bit to figure out what I was supposed to be doing - but I enjoyed it once I figured things out.

Well Shirt Company by Haydads 2023-05-02T05:53:02Z

Oh I really enjoyed this! The movement of the drone felt good, I liked how frantic the gameplay felt, and the mechanic was both intuitive and not like something that I have ever seen before. I also think you did a really nice job with the tutorials - I'm impressed at how much work you put in there.

Delivery Champ by Brandon Campbell 2023-05-02T03:47:50Z

Really fun! Felt like the art / gameplay / music / animations all work really well together here and the game is straightforwardly fun to play and feels good.

Rock Paper Scissors Inc. by Weston Goggins 2023-05-03T06:13:13Z

Really fun gameplay! controls and kinda gameplay feel very baba in a good way - definitely appreciate the undo button.

GobEx by WeirdBitGames 2023-05-02T03:38:34Z

This was great! I love the art / style / general vibe and the gameplay is fun - it's a little hard on a trackpad but I'm excited to give it another go with a proper mouse.

GobEx by WeirdBitGames 2023-05-02T17:11:00Z

@weirdbitgames gave it another try with a mouse instead of a trackpad - can confirm that the game's a little easier that way lol (although honestly the trackpad challenge was pretty fun). Made it to #2 on your leaderboard but idk how the top person has so many points!

Anyway v fun game, I'd play a post-jam version if you made one.

Don't Send Me a Puddle by eieio 2023-05-01T21:16:44Z

@flanne are you clicking above flat ground that doesn't have a tower? If you send me a little screenshot i will poke around, might be a bug (but I can't reproduce your problem)

Don't Send Me a Puddle by eieio 2023-05-01T21:28:58Z

@emily-ttg totally agree that it could use at least one more real mechanic - I cut a bunch of half baked ideas and if I’d had a little more time I would have wanted to play with a mechanic for adding a bunch of momentum - an air pillar would have been a cool version of that.

And thanks @larsievl @alex-chertilin @orbitaldot @gamebuilder !!! I am still not over the joy of strangers playing my games :)

Don't Send Me a Puddle by eieio 2023-05-02T17:11:47Z

@luxiffre lol you're absolutely right it shoulda said "KEEP COOL" - wish I'd thought of that!!

@jaroslav2324 i was worried about the tower confusion - I played with some ways to make them look a little different but everything I made looked...bad stylistically. Definitely something I'd do if I put more time into the game (and if I was a little better at making art I woulda done it for the event!)

Don't Send Me a Puddle by eieio 2023-05-03T06:26:35Z

@wouter52 thank you!! It's my first time putting music on the internet for folks (and it's some of my first electronic music - I mostly just play a physical piano) so it's really really fun for me that some folks are liking it - great encouragement for me :)

And I totally see the resemblance to that song! The chord progression is very similar and they are arpeggiating the chords in the same way that I am.

Don't Send Me a Puddle by eieio 2023-05-04T15:49:37Z

@caeonosphere thanks for playing and I agree it needs a few more mechanics!

The quantized tower height was intentional, although it wasn't primarily to avoid the "tweak this configuration slightly" problem. It was for a combination of simplicity / consistency (I think it makes it much easier to replicate a setup that you've had in the past) and to make it easier for me to think about where towers should be allowed to be placed - snapping to a grid the size of my tileset _horizontally_ meant it was unambiguous when designing a level whether a tower could go over a given square or not.

But to your point I think it also would have been much harder to design these levels if the tower height was more flexible - there would surely be lots of ways to slip towers around corners that I didn't intend.

Something to think about if I expand the game!

Don't Send Me a Puddle by eieio 2023-05-06T06:31:44Z

Thanks @denka! Did anything specific stand out about the controls? I know it can be frustrating to delete towers if you're on a trackpad for example.

Don't Send Me a Puddle by eieio 2023-05-06T21:00:08Z

@denka that's great feedback, thanks!

Don't Send Me a Puddle by eieio 2023-05-15T03:33:10Z

@garlic you're only able to place the towers on flat ground that isn't occupied by a torch - sorry that that was confusing, I tried to make it clear in the tutorial!

Don't Send Me a Puddle by eieio 2023-05-16T20:01:25Z

@garlic no it's good feedback! The game could clearly do a better job of telling you what's going on! Thanks :)

Angel Envelope by leking 2023-05-02T03:52:24Z

Love this idea and this is fun! I agree with Torculus on both fronts - the core mechanic is a lot of fun to play with but I don't really feel like waiting for the energy bar to fill adds too much.

Pancakes Won't Wait by SamChen 2023-05-01T20:27:31Z

This was totally a blast and I love the vibe as well! What a fun time :)

The last help by Linkway 2023-05-02T05:46:59Z

Really catchy soundtrack at the start! And the art feels very "thomas was alone" :)

I wasn't quite sure what to make of the story, but I did make it all the way to the end! Or what i think was the end anyway.

Ninth live by evilgeniusdance 2023-05-01T19:54:03Z

Love the art! But after I get ~20 seconds past the eye thing the screen just goes black?

Ninth live by evilgeniusdance 2023-05-01T20:19:18Z

Oh! I didn't realize it but sound was disabled, that explains my confusion. I'll try again @evilgeniusdance
