Love the dithering effect, but it does take its tole on game visiblity. There needs to be more indicators on what is possible at any given point

Love the dithering effect, but it does take its tole on game visiblity. There needs to be more indicators on what is possible at any given point
Love the idea, maybe one of the more interesting games I've played this jam. I'd say the weakest part was the audio, a small reduction in volume or pitch could be a solid improvement to the game. Good work.
This has to be my favourite game so far. Very polished experience, love the controls and the physics of the bullets affecting both you and the meteorites. My only criticism would be the extended periods of downtime, probably need a stressless mechanic thrown in so the player isn't doing nothing (something like preparing a shield, upgrading the drone, etc)
Excellent work
I love the execution of the theme. Gameplay has a lot of potential, though it started crashing on level 3.
Definitely an interesting idea having the player direct the tractor. Would like to see the pace of the game increase, but not a bad attempt
Stunning art. Love the undertale-esque mixing of genres.
Nice gameplay loop, no dull moments. Solid effort.
Love the mechanics, though I think the scoring needs to be harsher for missed keys.
Aesthetically beautiful. Game did crash on windows are a small amount of time though.
Not a bad game, I love the aspect of balancing the different needs. I feel like temperature could use some tweaking to make it easier to balance the needs of different mons, as it was the hardest part of managing more than one. Otherwise a pretty good experience
Simple, excellent aesthetic, wonderful effort. My only criticism is that toggles would serve much the same purpose without giving everyone playing it a sore wrist
Not a bad execution of the story. My main criticism would be that the objects that you can interact with could use some form of highlighting besides the text appearing. There were a few scenarios where I wasnt sure what to interact with (Aftering entering the location of the final scene, was stuck for a minute working out what to do). Also, where to click to exit the current location could use a highlight
Otherwise not bad, good work
Interesting concept, really like being able to plan out the paths that my guys can take. Good work
This is a solid contender. Loved the pace of the game, the emotional challenges were on point and the specific goals gave the characters some individuality. Good work
Awesome idea, well executed, but I think it needs to be more forgiving to mistakes (especially early). Either make mistakes harder to make, or make it way harder to die (fail a jump multiple times instead of once or twice). Some of those early jumps are pretty difficult.
Lovely gem
Wonderful aesthetics. Character control is a little unintuitive at the beginning but doesnt take too long to get good enough for the experience. The difficulty curve might warrant some tweaking, either increasing the speed requirement or making the recipes more complicated. Definitely a solid base that has a lot of room to flesh out if you decide to take it that way
Still 404 here too Did you set your itch.io page to public?
Loved it. Nice to see some stranger game engines coming through in the jam
Start's a little slow, feel like you could have had a similar setup without so much walking between. But between the beauty of the game, and the pace when it gets rolling, you've really cracked onto something
Definitely in need of some sort of tutorial or description of the controls. Very hard to relate the buttons and the visuals to what elements of the game they're responsible for, and how those elements relate to the also unclear end goal. Nothing that couldn't be fixed with a few messages that could be thrown in. Could even keep it somewhat thematic and have a computer console telling you whats currently going wrong.
Really enjoyed the controls. If I had to give feedback I'd say that the enemy projectiles were a little too fast to reliably dodge. I really love the hallway effect
First game I've wanted to play to completion. Fun game loop, well done
Easy to get sucked into this one. Lets me hyper focus on the loop. No think, only save. Awesome entry
Super solid entry. Feels like something I'd expect to have taken weeks, not days. Super good job
Couldnt speak to the guy on the platform after I pushed a feather over there
Favourite game so far. Didnt read the instructions and it only took a little while to work out how the game worked. Think my least favourite part was the end screen which was a tad too bright. Awesome work.
Polished core gameplay loop. Feel like the hitboxes need a touch more work, occasionally hit a rock that I didnt visually clip. good work.
A truly creative method of telling a story through mechanics, well done
This is by far one of my favourite games. This mechanic has so much potential and you knocked it out of the park. Really well done.
Good introductory curve into the buttons, made it a lot easier.
Incredibly fun. I love how you tied the music to the gameplay, it's something we dont see very often.
I love the core mechanic. Really creative execution. The intro is a little long, could use a skip.
I love how much you were able to do with so little. Awesome work
Interesting idea. Could use some kind of tutorial to explain the aim of the gamee, but once it gets going it starts to make sense.
Really solid game idea. I dont like how the AI arent predictable, lost more than once to them turning into me. I'd have had them move in a straight line to prevent that. Otherwise veery fun game.
I love everything about this game. The sounds, the aesthetic, the addictive gameplay. Really well done.
I really enjoyed the gameplay. Super simple to understand, lots of room to expand the mechanic.
Haha wow controlling the car is crazy hard, but makes it so rewarding when you finally get it. Major gripe is having to move my hands from the arrow keys to the mouse to restart, needs to have a keybind for it.
I love the CLI mystery genre (having made one myself for a previous jam). The look of the screen and the work that went into the output did not go unnoticed. Awesome, awesome entry
Amazing entry, one of the best I've seen yet!
I love the visuals, the audio is seamless, the gameplay looks deep but as you've already commented on, takes a while to understand. Working out the ratios is pretty important.
Super impressive this was made in so little time
Managed to hit the end without shooting the gun, pacifist run
Love the audio & visuals, really nailed the aesthetic. Good work!
One of my favourite entries. Very polished, great sound, great visuals, a joy to play, and even a records screen to compare in the comments. This is going to do very well
@cromo @vitor-milioni yeah having him use the platforms actively was part of the plan but a handful of bugged interactions made me cut it. Would rather the game be as bug free as possible, sadly.
Thanks for the kind words
@3mpty there is a mechanic in the game to allow better players to do more damage, combo attacks deal increasingly higher amounts of damage if you can keep the chain going. If we'd had time for additional movement mechanics we could've made it more noticeable
Very simple idea. My only criticism would be that having the earlier enemies be (seemingly) completely random makes it very difficult to balance. I had runs that were impossible until I got lucky and managed to take a straight line to the exit. Good game otherwise
Nice game, love the art. The background especially was pretty cool
Really like the idea of a platformer with no jump. Some creative solutions to allow for the puzzles to work, nice!
Game balance could use some work - I very quickly hit the point where I had constant 100s but had to press the button ~100 times to actually win.
Had fun working it out though. Nice entry!
I love the aesthetic, the simple drawn graphics with no ui is such a clean design. Gameplay felt like it controlled pretty well too, so good work
I really love the idea. Not sure why you need to click the boat multiple times? Feels like it just makes it a bit clunky. Also struggled to get the bear to d2rop a lot of the time.
I think going hard into the physics aspect of it and letting the user drops bears anywhere and see how they land would have made this one of the best entries. A jenga pile of bears trying to cross the river would've been hilarious
Solid entry, good execution of a good idea
Really well polished entry, awesome work
Lot of potential. Seems like it'd be easy to expand this to add additional mechanics pretty easily. Nice one
I loved this game, easily one of the best I've played yet
Adding talent trees to a jam game is no simple feet haha, sick entry
Man this is just an awesome fun little game. I dont even have anything to offer in terms of constructive criticism. Super solid work
Solid gameplay. UX could use some work. I'm dreadful at managing a city as it turns out.
This entry has set an impossible bar for the rest of us. Incredible work
This the sorta game that you can accidentally waste a few hours on. So simple yet so satisfying
Feels a little floaty, but satisfying to land a difficult jump
Super fun, incredible for four hours
Enjoyed it. Super ambitious to go for a card game for a jam but feel like you pulled it off super well
@tylerstraub should just need to click it when you're at the correct point in a recipe. @xiris Was the goal originally, unfortunately time was too tight. Thanks for the feedback :) @Gotova My teammate adores the style, I have a sneaking suspicion that we were going to end up doing this style regardless
@mgear both cauldrons should work immediately, as long as the item you're putting in follows a recipe
@shampop The glowing seal doesnt happen until later levels
@alec I had it organised originally but found it aided the gameplay to spread things out, add to the chaos a little ;)
Best looking game I've seen all jam
What an interesting take on a tower defense game
I LOVED this entry. Its such a creative but obvious take on the theme that I feel silly for not thinking of it myself
Fun little arcade game
Other than the issues with the clock not appearing at first, this was a super enjoyable game. Simple idea executed well.
Super cute game, cheeky little nod to the theme. Very fun
Super fun. A little tightening of the mechanics and this could easily become something that you'd sit on play for hours
Cool concept. Having the user need to click twice to access the transfer makes it hard to play it in reaction to the movements of the agents, and the agents themselves could use a little more telegraphing of their actions. Still very fun though!
Very fun for such a simple concept, executed well
Not much in this world thats as innevitable as a block hole. Nice execution of the theme!
This was wonderful. Lovely music, a tidy metroidvania world, tight controls and fits the theme amazingly.
Player can get really fast, and its hard to keep track of your position. Fun otherwise
Love the feeling of aligning the angles to land exactly where you wanted, fun game
Loved the audio feedback when I slammed anything I could find in the back as fast as possible, real nice
Thematically, the idea of a bunch of wizards sprinting out to be the first to collect some flowers is great. I like the magicka-esque casting of having to type as well, I wish that system was used more. Nice work!
This game is incredibly cute, with a simple addicting gameplay loop. nice work!
Im not sure if I'm missing something but the third level seems to be broken? Ive hit the house twice and cant get it to register
@nomaki yup its working now! Fun game
My only criticism is that the maps feel needlessly large. I enjoyed the puzzle designs. Nice work!
Love the art! Nice entry
So easy to fall behind, but I really enjoy the process of inspecting the parcels. Definitely has a similar vibe to papers please. cool game!
Love the art. If you tightened the movement a little bit this could easily turn into something larger, good work
Short but really good foundations
Love the controls
Really fun! My main criticism is that the buildings need to be easier to differentiate from the road, as them being the same colour makes it difficult to drive. But once you get past that, I love the controls
Pizza time
Massive fan of the audio and graphics. Gameplay is really solid, nice work
This is the perfect example of a simple mechanic executed well, I loved it
Best game I've played so far, wonderful entry
This game is incredible. Took a second to understand the controls, but after that it felt really rewarding to balance shooting birds, slinging pizza and not going head over ass
@lathomas64 @dearkh Fixed! Sorry for that
@lathomas64 Did you end up beating him?
@lathomas64 I love this response
@payaosito What resolution were you playing on?
@candlesan Thank you for the kind words! I've fixed that bug, thanks for the report
@payaosito I'll have that fixed soon, also going to put downloads up in case of further issues
@payaosito Can you test now please?
@pauljs added fullscreen support
@djtequila theres a card called "Preparation" that grants an additional 3 energy the turn after its played, which can be used to get the 4 cost card to be playable
@payaosito thank you for confirming!
@adam-gould originally the game was going to include a map to traverse, but that idea got cut quickly for scope reasons, as I'd never be able to make enough enemies to feel like it was a full map. But the idea of collecting potion ingredients and delivering it to the king stayed
@bokchoyboy Claw is indeed law, thank you for playing!
@wadlo no libraries. Source code was provided, if you want to dig through it!
Boxes are a bit hard to use, but I like your puzzle designs. I think adding the ability to pull boxes might have helped
I love the map art. Nice entry!
I cannot overstate how much I adored the intro. having the player type is such a wonderful touch.
Game was good, punching missiles was excellent.
The graphics and audio are incredible, everything is so punchy!
I really enjoy this gameplay loop. Similar feeling to something like overcooked
I really enjoyed the movement around the building, fun game!
Man this game is beautiful
I appreciate a take on the theme that doesnt involve delivering a package
One of if not the prettiest game Ive seen this jam
Really interesting choice to open a business that literally cannot be profitable. Jokes aside, I love the mechanic and how the orbits can affect the price of the journey. Cool entry
Really sick game design / aesthetics combo
Loved pooping on that guys head. Terrific entry
Love the ladder physics
3:31. You could absolutely make a rage version of this and it'd work really well. I love the shifting colours a lot, too.
Few attempts later and I got a 56.9. Im pretty happy with that time
This is the most fun I've had so far. This could easily be an entire game. I wish catching the package prevented the run from ending, but thats the only real criticism I have.
This game has a lot of potential, I really like the natural difficulty increase of leaving the men in place. I think the controls could use a bit of tightening, though
I love the difficulty, but I'm a sucker for hard games
Fun game! I think fleeing needs to be punished more heavily, I crossed the entire map without doing anything but fleeing
You have an amazingly addicting loop on your hands. And I really love the mechanics you added, the walls and the odd level elevators really add a huge amount of depth to a simple premise. Sick job
Love the aesthetic. Struggled with the second enemy jump before realising you have to press z near the enemy to freeze them. Nice job!
Love the map art. Movement might be better served being a little faster, or having a speed up / pause function. Cool game!
I love how you ease the player into it by limiting which colours/directions are sent at the beginning. Game gets really challenging when it ramps up. I think it could do with accelerating at a slower pace
Really enjoyed this, good work!
Didnt realise I was supposed to extrapolate the empty ones so I just bruteforced it with vertical lines. Fun little dexterity challenge
God this is difficult, in a good way. Love the tunes
Should specify that its a web game somewhere, cause it just looks like a download only game, and web games get more interactions. Love the art style of the game
This is the first non-halloween adjacent entry I've seen so far. I really like the feeling of the controls, feel pretty tight for a jam game.
Embed appears to be broken?
The noise the monks make is absolutely fantastic. impressive for the time you spent!
Man the webcam is such a great detail, immediate 5/5 for the humour. Love it!
Love the art, though in the future trying to keep a consistent pixel ratio would go a long way for helping tie everything together. A lot of content for a jam game
@just-a-cat Thanks for the kind words!
@leo115 @zhirui unfortunately we had to cut some of that to make it in time haha. Originally relics were going to apply to individual weapons and be more plentiful but that required a lot more UI work
@anson-rutherford indeed is the end, the text at the end is how many enemies you killed as a high score. Thanks for playing!
Pico 8 games always impress me, I love how much you've achieved with it!
Did load after 5 or 10. I love the graphics, they have such a charm about them. And having voice acting in a jam game is super impresive. Nice!
No game appears on the page
Boy do I suck at rhythm, but this is super well executed!
Cool game, love the art for the runes especially. I surprised myself with how good I was at it haha.
I really like the aesthetic as you interact with the world. And tying the summoning with the movement controls has some really interesting implications, nice work!
That altar view is gorgeous, love it!
Neat game. I think its faster to move diagonal, and its definitely faster to move diagonally into a wall.
Didn't work on first attempt at loading but after a refresh it did, might have just had some issues loading assets? Otherwise game looks incredible and it has such a cool premise. Music is just right, too. This is so polished
Cute little game, I liked how the puzzle felt obvious in retrospect but that just serves to help ensure people get the puzzle. nice design
Started going up and wondered why the meters wasnt increasing :face_palm: Some of the geometry doesnt seem to line up, but its a really solid game regardless
Damn this game looks and feels awesome, well done
Loved the ramping, felt fair. Good work!
thank god for checkpoints
Insane atmosphere. I love how you implemented the sonar, something about the pixels is just so gorgeous!
Fun game. I really appreciate how many options we get when issuing commands, seems like a lot of detail for a jam game!
Very addictive gameplay loop~
Nailed the atmosphere. Combined with the slow descent it gets under my skin >.<
Itch page isn't public
Love this take of depths haha, its a nice break from dark holes in the ground
Awesome game, I'm terrible at it!
Damn the mechanics for this feel so refined for a jam game, well done!
Always impressed with jam entries that add cutscenes. Nice game!
audio slaps, visuals slap. Good work!
I'm going to have to come back to this in the morning, but its very fun
My favourite part was when the cow roundhouse kicked a balloon that was just out of reach, 10/10
I genuinely have no suggestions. This game is awesome. The graphics are incredibly, the audio is fantastic, the game feel is insanely well done. Tying the platforming time to the shooter time is an excellent concept, and thef act you managed to polish what are effectively two separate games is incredible. Most deserved 5 stars I've ever given.
Music makes it so tense ;-;
GFetting checkmated off the screen is insane. But I love this concept, and honestly I need to get better at intuitively understanding how the knights move, so I might need to revisit this game
Love the art. I can't seem to work out what to do to get the door open after I put in the energy cell?
