LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

Fat and Furry-ous by Tex Killer 2020-10-26T19:20:32Z

The wheel part seemed a little pointless cause entering the wheel basically would lead to a loss. The only way to win was to avoid all the cheese. The music was good. The graphics were readable but the gameplay needed a little more.

LD42 — Running out of space

Dish It Out by recursor 2018-08-21T20:01:05Z

It was fun just hurling dishes but actually landing them on the center table was quite difficult. It also was weird that dishes did not shatter. I also did not really see the theme in this game. @levidsmith you can use esc to end the stage.

Birdbird can't fly! by Togimaro 2018-08-15T23:17:08Z

I was having trouble just getting past the dog. The game still had nice artwork and a good mood. If birdbird is not a bird what is he? Also, why must people keep putting him in cages? It seemed if some objects just slightly touched me, I would die. Great job on making multiple levels. I know how hard it is to just get the mechanics down and one level made.

Evercloud by SecondDimension 2018-08-23T15:49:37Z

The mood was amazing. It seemed weird that I could not drown, but maybe my mask helped me breathe underwater. I really did not feel like I was running out of space because the rain was not really a hindrance in anyway. I actually thought the game made it pretty obvious what the next steps were, I always thought it was weird that I couldn't sleep on the ship. I felt a little sad at the end, I didn't really want to leave the planet, but I know the little guy did. Overall good job.

HUBOTS by khofez 2018-08-29T20:53:51Z

Some of the robot noises got a little annoying, maybe as simple as different pitches would have helped. The game is fun and the graphics are nice. I never really felt like I ended up running out of any space, but overall it was good and the robots were efficient.

Blockage by ThePelranthean 2018-08-13T01:36:16Z

Figuring out how the controls were supposed to make until the tips came up made it a little annoying, but I guess it adds a learning curve. Also, determining what items I could stack or couldn't, was a little weird. Some things were not intuitive but overall it was fun to play.

Blockage by ThePelranthean 2018-08-13T03:07:56Z

@thepelranthean actually I did not play the game my comment was meant for a different game. I am sorry. Now I have played the game. A few things to comment on. Games where I feel I need an additional hand are a little annoying, what I mean is it felt like the mouse was a big component but I still needed to use space and four arrow keys. If the mouse was just a once in a while situation. I also would like a range indicator, the circle turns red when I can pickup a box, for example. Now for the good, this is an amazing amount of work for 48 hours. Were the levels all manually done? I liked the sound to indicate the door was opening.

Blockage by ThePelranthean 2018-08-13T03:09:05Z

Wow it is amazing how my comment actually feels like it could apply to this.

Blockage by ThePelranthean 2018-08-13T03:45:50Z

@thepelranthean I am impressed that it seemed it was difficult to paint yourself into a corner, but maybe it is possible.

Chickens & Elves by Meta-link 2018-08-22T14:45:04Z

I enjoyed the graphics, the music was a little loud. After a few play throughs what needed to be done made more sense. Maybe making it obvious that a new room being made expanded your time. Also, the clicking became a little tedious.

Obey by conk 2018-08-27T16:18:59Z

The game would have been better with audio, it felt empty without it. Also, there didn't really seem to be any goal to the game. Would also have been nice if I could have moved with the arrow keys also. A paper tearing sound would have really added to the world.

Nuclear Arms 6: Waste Wizard's Tricks by Logicon211 2018-08-19T01:22:59Z

The game was definitely funny and congrats on making the sixth installment in a series. I liked that there was a story. Figuring out that aiming with the mouse would also kind of determine how wasd would move me was not super intuitive. Overall the game was a fun experience and I like that there aren't too many steps to get to the Wizard. I didn't beat the game but it was interesting.

The Return by seizethedia 2018-08-16T13:27:53Z

The controls and objective were not immediately clear but after a few playthroughs it made more sense. The floaters did not really make me think enemy I can attack and more made me think bomb. The game was still fun and I liked that it had a story. A tutorial might help and knowing how to get rid of a pink square you are standing on might help.

Tales Of Steel And Mana: Empire's Birth by DreamingDice 2018-09-04T13:14:45Z

I liked the management of the party. At first I thought my party was leveling up like a traditional RPG, but it seemed you had to swap out your lower level members for higher level members. The music ended up getting a little annoying and a few different sounds maybe even just sound effects during the battle would have been nice. I enjoyed the overall play and feel the game.

Card Tower Defense by frozenfire92 2018-08-14T18:55:44Z

It seemed very difficult to get past the seventh wave and some of it is luck because I think the upgrades are random. It was fun and I enjoyed combining cards. Was not sure if I should have only placed a couple cards so I could combine later. Determining the strategy was interesting.

Tetrolled by TRASEVOL_DOG 2018-08-13T01:16:14Z

I liked the randomness and how it referenced the retro nature with inserting the cartridge. At first I did not see there was a score. Kind of want to look at the code because one game it seemed random bricks did not appear as much and the next game they appeared quite often.

Heirs Kingdom by Valter 2018-08-29T14:29:35Z

I enjoyed the music and sound effects. It also was quite fun and funny, trying to determine the correct structure was a good puzzle.

Pole Volt by tacohej 2018-08-14T21:09:13Z

The concept was interesting and fun. The space to jump seemed not as responsive as I would like and it was a little weird to alternate between right and left and then hit space, maybe up to jump might have worked better. I really enjoyed the artwork and animations. The music was also nice. The theme did not really seem apparent.

EVOLUTION by Noa Calice 2018-08-27T20:30:21Z

I am not sure this is a game, but it is an amazing simulation and thought provoking. Your artwork is great and I love your youtube channel it has been really helpful in creating my first entry for a Ludum Dare. It seemed I could not deselect an object, once selected I had to place it, just a minor gameplay thing.

Grey Goo by Willbl3pic 2018-09-04T19:48:43Z

The turning was a little fast, I was not sure what the killswitch looked like. I enjoyed the sound of the grey goo. I did feel like I was running out of space.

Rainforest by SimoGecko 2018-08-15T18:41:37Z

Enjoyed the artwork and found it funny. The controls were a little difficult and the clipping through shelves for collisions did not look the best. I thought the objects would drop on my trolley but I guess I needed to click on the objects.

Gone in dark cave by dray 2018-08-17T13:26:46Z

I think this may have worked better as a turn based game. I agree I was a little confused with what was going on and sort of was just clicking on random cards. Was my life solely based on if I filled up my inventory? The graphics were nice and some sound effects would put it over the top. This game can easily be expanded upon. I did like that the layout was random.

Ultimate Boss Battle of Doom by Gurbx 2018-08-17T00:59:26Z

Initially I did not get that you should jump on the blue ball to attack the boss. The gameplay was interesting. There seemed to be graphical glitches the whole time I was playing, which was weird. Overall it was a game that fit the theme well and had mechanics that were different.

Ultimate Boss Battle of Doom by Gurbx 2018-08-19T15:46:18Z

@gurbx Mainly was just tiles blinking.

Grid Weaver by HacksawUnit 2018-08-12T23:49:42Z

The gameplay was fun. At first it was tough to see what was happening, but then I figured out that the bugs were eating the web.

Memory by Kataware 2018-08-13T00:18:20Z

The fact it seemed I got an OPed gun at the beginning, made the game a little easy, but I didn't even care too much. The world was quite nice and having a working dialogue system was great. Maybe adding some random villagers with random speech would be fun.

Pats Pack by Landon 2018-08-14T16:51:27Z

Yeah maybe a mouseclick system would have worked better for the throwing. I agree with the previous commentator and think the overall speed of the game could have been slowed down. Also, the sounds were good but a little jarring in abruptness on death. I enjoyed the simplistic artwork and it was interesting what different weapons could do. I felt the theme was loosely used given the 4 slots but since the items seemed to have limited uses did not seem like I was really running out. Overall good job.

Donovan - The Hazard Duck by sadsmile 2018-08-15T01:59:25Z

I also must say I was not sure exactly how the dodge was supposed to be used, was hard to move, use dodge, and shoot when I went with just moving and dodging it was tough to die but the game wouldn't progress. Not sure if a time limit where you win if you survive would be a nice addition. I liked the duck artwork also. Is there a way to get more health?

Dear Leader's Diet Plan by Historymaker118 2018-08-13T23:28:25Z

Not sure the blue coming out of me really made me think capitalist propaganda but besides that it was a lot of fun. Interesting controls and just a different game, which we need.

Blocks by Anubhav Kashyap 2018-08-21T14:11:04Z

The jump was not consistent. The overall game was fun. Initially I was wondering how to die in the game because some of the collisions were not killing me. I enjoyed playing the game, there is nothing groundbreaking here but it was fun.

Sumo Warrior by G4m3M4ni4c 2018-08-23T22:04:07Z

I felt the game was more about avoidance than pushing the others out. I had fun playing it. Would have enjoyed some sound and maybe more obvious about how pale I am.

A Few Bits Left by pushxtonotdie 2018-08-17T04:46:50Z

I killed the bats and am unable to move anywhere. Maybe the game doesn't work well in Chrome. I liked the idea but as people said it is only loosely based on the theme. The Jump Attack also seemed really powerful. I bet if I could have played the whole game I would have liked it more.

Pop it! by LJay 2018-08-19T20:35:08Z

I enjoyed how each popcorn had personality. Maybe just some background music would have been nice. I liked the do not press level. Overall I had fun playing the game but seemed that there was more luck than skill to the play patterns.

Gunning Out Of Space by ytaha 2018-08-13T15:41:23Z

Love the pixel artwork. The borders could have been a little better, when I would get to the bottom of the screen and have a goo bubble, I was just kind of trapped, which I guess fits with the them really well.

Rick Dervish - Space Cadet by coldfire83 2018-08-12T23:35:55Z

The game is tough and probably will take a lot of doing. Not sure the little twist adds too much but it was a fun game.

System_Corruption by antonsem 2018-08-17T23:49:32Z

Is there a reason you opted out of audio? Without any antagonist to stop me, the game felt a little more tedious than fun. I did enjoy the navigation with sound concept. Interesting concept that could easily be fleshed out and become fun.

MondrianCraft by kromeboy 2018-08-14T19:17:39Z

I did feel like I was an artist rearranging a painting. The theme was subtlier there, I didn't really feel I was running out of space and instead was working within space. As everyone else hinted, the fact there was a lot of trial and error was a little annoying. Maybe just have a combination guide on the right. Always nice to have a good puzzle game. Not sure how hard it was to make this and what it would take to have more levels, but that would be fun.

Exhaustlands by Sand-Gardeners 2018-08-23T18:01:31Z

The mood and music was great. I feel the game needed more action, I see a lot of people enjoyed exploring the world but mainly just seeing gas stations did not get me excited. There is an army and darkness, fighting them as I explored would have added a nice element.

Void Knight vs PEST by Memel06 2018-08-13T02:10:06Z

Loved the artwork and the game had a very horror esque feel. Also, loved all the graphical responses to actions.

The Flopp by Sanguis 2018-08-27T17:01:50Z

I really loved the reload for death animation. Some of the precision jumping did get a little frustrating. I found the graphics disappearing due to running out of space as interesting but it did not add too much to the gameplay. Some music would also be nice. I don't know if there were enemies because I did not play much farther after the moving platforms, but it is somewhat weird if there is an attack, but it is just used to break boxes. The game was fun.

Curses and Goblins by antagonist 2018-08-13T01:37:24Z

Overall the controls were a little hard to figure out and what stacks. The game was enjoyable though and I liked the simplistic artwork that made it feel like an old time rpg.

ReMind LD-42 by EvanM 2018-08-13T01:00:47Z

The pacing was very slow. I agree that there should be other memories. I also did not understand if I was never supposed to select a bad memory, which seemed like the point. If that was the case it did not seem like running out of space was actually occurring unless the brain would get full.

DOS: Deletion (of) Old Stuff by Call_me_Nutty 2018-08-13T03:54:15Z

The game seemed a little too difficult, probably slow down how often the mouse deletes an item. Also, I don't believe there was a way to exit the game.

ClapBang by arron-fowler 2018-08-21T20:57:28Z

I think a tutorial/play through would go a long way for this game. I started to get the hang of it, but making it obvious what exactly are powerups would be helpful. It was still fun to play.

Where's Creepo? by SundanceKid 2018-08-13T01:05:53Z

The game was quite difficult. I enjoyed the music and the artwork and overall theme. The negative was just how difficult it was to find people. Since the crowd is randomly generated is the target guaranteed to be there? Unless that part is initially predetermined.

Where's Creepo? by SundanceKid 2018-08-13T01:11:47Z

Reminds of the game on the Wii where you would need to find two identical people and the game would progress in difficulty. Maybe start with a small number of people and have it scale by scaling the area. Somehow you got a press badge or something.

Placeholder by Maroovan 2018-08-21T15:38:59Z

Aiming with the mouse is a little annoying. I think it might have been more fun if it was just on a singular plane and your attacks basically just shot forward and could detect if the enemy was a little higher. Also, not really knowing how I died was a little annoying. I liked the sound effects and music and the graphics.

Placeholder by Maroovan 2018-08-21T17:20:53Z

@maroovan I also am not much of an fps player anyways. The part was more annoying was dying from unseen enemies.

Pizza Defender by Sloyd 2018-08-29T19:46:15Z

Was kind of weird that the monsters couldn't hurt me, I know the pizza was my health, but still, took a little away. Also, not being able to walk off the pizza felt a little glitchy. The good, loved the graphics and enjoyed watching the enemies get pushed back and die. The game was fun and with some sound and a few tweaks it would go over the top.

L: An Interactive Mystery by Cercle 2018-08-15T05:01:17Z

I feel you should have opted out of humor, if anyone thought this was funny, something is wrong. Besides that, though, this was spectacular, I didn't feel like I was running out of space, felt the space just wasn't present to begin with, but amazing music, amazing voice acting (I thought I was the only one who did voice acting, which not sure I can even call it that after seeing this), the mood was there, sadness oozed. The fact the ending was basically a cliffhanger was a little sad, wanted to have a happy ending. But amazing, all and all, amazing.

L: An Interactive Mystery by Cercle 2018-08-15T11:29:37Z

@noahro after looking back I agree there were some funny elements but the overall mood was drama.

Echo by ManBeardGames 2018-08-15T05:29:31Z

I enjoyed the squish sound it was humorous and so was the tutorial. The game had a little learning curve for the range of the attack but the tutorial helped a lot for learning what you could do. Overall fun.

Red Square by tetra 2018-08-13T23:07:50Z

I thought it was fun and had just the right level of challenge. I also enjoyed the sounds. Overall great game. Maybe having more of a theme, not the theme, but theme in general would be interesting, but as a puzzle game it was very good. https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/42/the-city-of-forgotten-toys, link to the game so you can play it on your stream as you requested.

Grocery Runner by roberth332 2018-08-13T04:17:34Z

Does the game go on indefinitely, if I do not fill my cart? Also, it seemed random how many an item would represent when I hit it. Overall, though the gameplay was nice, the graphics told me these were grocery items and I was pushing a cart. The speed was even fast in easy.

Pre Alpha Build by PlusMinus 2018-08-15T15:45:17Z

Would have liked better instructions about how the lab worked, but I loved the artwork and the difficulty and pace of the game. Having to decide how to place the pieces was also a fun addition. Not really sure what walls were doing. Besides the fact some things were not clearly explained, the game was fun and enjoyable.

BLOCK_SHOT by UnityMember 2018-08-14T16:34:34Z

I liked the twist on pong and it is nice for one days work, would have been nice to have some simple up and down AI so the game would not be played alone. I also got the bug where the game just stops due to the ball moving back and forth between boxes. I felt the theme was only slightly there. I think with some AI and maybe weirder physics for the ball so the bouncing back and forth between two paddles wouldn't happen, would greatly improve this.

cargOS by tigerj 2018-08-17T02:41:05Z

I could see this game playing well as a mobile game. Took me a little while to figure out what I was trying to do, since the teleporters were not matching box colors and then I saw the color would change and that you could move boxes away from the teleporter and just on the ground. Might have been nice to know what color the space was going to change to, not sure if there was a predetermined or if it was random.

cargOS by tigerj 2018-08-17T04:53:57Z

@tigerj we all have bugs, just great to get a game out. Drag and drop with Mouse might have been better but the animation wouldn't have really been there then.

cargOS by tigerj 2018-08-17T12:07:07Z

@tigerj great. I saw you talking about that on your stream

The Space Between Us by plufmot 2018-08-20T14:06:45Z

Was the ship I was supposed to take based on the amount of health I chose at the beginning? I like that you could choose your difficulty that way. Initially I thought the 1 meant level 1, though. Some things were not immediately cleat but it was a fun game.

Maze Crusher by Firesplash Entertainment 2018-08-19T12:08:40Z

The link is not working for me is there a particular web browser, I should use.

Maze Crusher by Firesplash Entertainment 2018-08-19T19:59:10Z

@firesplash-entertainment yep it is working now. I enjoyed the graphics. Would have been nice to have in game rules. The minimap was a nice touch.

Ultimate Harvest Day by Marcelo92 2018-08-21T20:50:30Z

Loved the artwork. Was reading the switch weapon as 0 instead of Q. Also, did not really get why I wanted to pickup vegetables, was it to throw them out of the enclosure? I liked that you integrated the rules into the scenery, was a nice touch. It was also satisfying to attack vegetables. Was a very polished game.

Don't Drown by schsam 2018-08-13T00:52:17Z

The game actually was surprisingly fun. I really wanted to see what would happen if I escaped. It was a little anticlimatic. Might be interesting if it is a tub and you could try to swim underwater to pull the plug and drain it. Also, sound and maybe an idea of your captor would be fun. I always enjoy story in game.

Dataphobia by Shozou 2018-08-15T22:53:05Z

I think maybe being able to swap moves during the game might be interesting. I agree that seeing the level layout, also would have helped. Having to just replay levels cause I chose the wrong moves was a little annoying but it still made for a good puzzle game. The comments in the game added nice ambiance and humor.

Count your Steps (or you will run out of space) by Akros 2018-08-13T03:32:44Z

What program do I use to open RAR files?

Star Hopper by Daniel Mak 2018-08-22T13:45:50Z

I didn't find level 2 too difficult and I feel with a little more work I could have made it past level 3. I had fun playing it and was pretty determined. Like others have stated I think with some polish this could be a good mobile game.

Viral by BigBossErndog 2018-08-13T23:52:18Z

Really enjoyed how it looked and when I tried to delete an entire folder that the game told me I cheated. I liked the feel of the artwork and it felt like an old computer. Interesting that you could open multiple file explorer and have each focused on a single folder.

Zombie Invasion by YamiOG 2018-08-15T01:47:20Z

I thought the shots were not super accurate and did not know how to use the sword. Some controls would have been nice. I enjoyed the artwork and the gameplay, though.

Virus: Rabbit by Rob Parker 2018-08-21T13:13:51Z

I believe the system crashes too quickly. Also, why do my clones not attack? I would have enjoyed some sound effects, also. I enjoyed the concept and liked the music. Also, the game over screen was nice. It was fun to play.

Escape: The Game by LukeKratt 2018-08-13T04:31:43Z

As everyone has said, link doesn't work, we will not have access to your c drive

Dash Brawler by glitchman 2018-08-13T14:59:41Z

The AI did seem a little stupid and the theme running out of space seemed to be loosely used with the falling blocks, since the AI was so easy to defeat I never really thought I was running out of space. On the plus side I loved the graphics, the gameplay seems fun and would be interesting when playing multiplayer, and I liked the dialogue and a little story. More randomized dialogue/a taunt button might have been fun.

Claustro by Taimidori 2018-08-13T04:32:51Z

Same as everyone else, hope you get the link working so we can play.

Death Tag Arena by tombus 2018-08-13T04:54:34Z

When I died, there did not seem a way to restart. The game did have nice horror elements. The theme did not jump out at me.

Cure Your World by teo989 2018-08-12T23:27:58Z

The movement seems a little unresponsive in the sense that I am not sure when I am turning, but after a few plays it made more sense. Also, not having a perfect idea of the edge. I like the graphics and the music is not intrusive and is a nice undertone.

Avoid the circle by ralarara 2018-08-13T02:16:55Z

I agree with @guardhei, the controls are a little difficult and also I think the colors could be more obvious which are which. I did enjoy the music.

Give Me Space by annoyedCactus 2018-08-18T20:45:09Z

I think it may have been from playing the browser version but I did enjoy the artwork and the music was nice. I think if you posted a quick walkthrough video it would help users know how to play it. I enjoyed the personalities the planets had.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-13T00:19:28Z

Yeah humor was what I was going for. Yeah, I know a hated font.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-13T01:19:43Z

First Ludum Dare, it was a lot of fun and I was happy to get a game out.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-13T02:20:16Z

@adonisdvs did you go back to Game Over screen? If you saw the Game Over screen, then you got the bad ending, if you defeat the Mayor there is another screen.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-13T03:31:27Z

I have uploaded an HTML5 version of the game if you want to get a feel of the game, but this version of the game is buggy. This is uploaded so you could get a feel of the game without downloading, but it does not function as it should.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-13T04:03:58Z

Thanks @piece-ofcheese I actually really loved the gritty world that was created, kind of like a noir toy story. I would love to make more of a dialogue story game based on it. I was thinking maybe the Mayor hires assassins. Just so everyone understands, the HTML5 version does not show the screen correctly and will crash if you score high enough, but I wanted a version that people could play just on the page and you will get theme and mood. Please download the game for the full experience. The HTML5 version should now work if you play it in full screen. Html 5 version should now work.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-13T04:11:07Z

Oh after playing the game if people can respond Mayor if they made it to the Mayor, that will be an easy way for you to give feedback if you have nothing else to say and gives me an understanding if the level was too easy or hard.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-13T04:43:35Z

Well fixed Aspect Ratio for HTML5 version but it still crashes, so the full game cannot be played but wanted something that can be played without downloading, weird that the Windows version doesn't have this problem.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-13T12:07:00Z

@alexander-tan yeah it is a little tricky, need to sort of be moving when you jump. Took it more as a learning experience, also with most toys on the lower level it is not the worst.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-13T15:03:49Z

@jackou yeah I was having trouble getting the resolution to work for having it not in full screen and even in full screen it seemed some was cut off, did you make it to The Mayor because that was some of my favorite. Yeah when I did not feel like coding things it was great just making audio files in audacity and messing with the effects.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-14T00:33:41Z

@handle it was more inspired by the theme then being fully about it, the idea is when you run out of space in your house you discard and get rid of your toys, also the hand can only carry 10 toys. On the rules page it tells the story. Yeah the platform is more to get the toys early. I could of had it so the toys spawned randomly on platforms. Did you have sound on, the game says jump on the Mayor's head to defeat him, maybe I didn't enunciate my words. Yeah seems like there are mixed feelings on the music, I was wondering if it would get annoying and some people seemed to find it annoying and some people seemed to enjoy it. Thanks for the review.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-14T00:56:30Z

@joemag did you notice your speed go back up to 10 when you got hit? The speed was kind of a universal indicator, indicating how many toys you had, so when you got shot you dropped the toys. Joe did you also turn off the sound? The rules state to collect the toys and place them in the donation box but I can understand if that was not super clear in gameplay or if you did not read the rules. Thanks for the feedback.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-14T23:07:32Z

@tetra yeah planning on loading a post game jam version. Tutorial and better platform controls are first steps. Might add health because dodging the balls seemed like it was not obvious that it stopped the toys you picked up. Health would be more obvious. Also plan to fix the spawning and allow you to kill enemies. Maybe actual music, the thoughts on that seem split. Thanks for playing my game it is awesome what people made in two days

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-14T23:15:01Z

@thepelranthean congrats on beating the game. Yeah really want to explore the world. Was thinking of a Robin hood stealth level, stealing from the Mayor. Yeah thinking of expanding spawning to platforms. I think I was trying to make it so people would make it to the Mayor. Yeah I felt good when I beat other people's games. Thankd

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-15T01:14:19Z

Yeah uploading an edited version to fix platform jump problems as bug fix and will be uploading periodic new versions. To defeat the Mayor you had to jump on his head 10 times. I think the Aspect Ratio might have cut off stuff that was important. Trying to get a version that people can see things.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-15T01:38:03Z

@grahh are you referring to the source code?

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-15T05:34:58Z

@Wheffle if you enjoyed it, I am working on iterating it and hoping to load new copies when I have time throughout the week, maybe add levels. All suggestions appreciated. Do you mean you want to be able to jump higher Wheffle? I actually thought the tennis balls were difficult to avoid, they do feel a little slow. Working on changing how the toys spawn, made the game a lot harder. Might add health and then will just be traditional levels instead of immediately jumping to the mayor. Thanks for the feedback.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-15T13:28:13Z

@saoi-game, I think it was the aspect ratio on Firefox, there is a score. Maybe go with the downloaded version instead and choose 1600X900, ratio. There is a second level it you get 20 points. The different texts was more due to me making multiple buttons in different time frames and not remembering which text I used/initially choosing a text I liked and then due to time just using the default text. I can't remember if some of it also was done in unity which does not have text but I guess I could probably get a free text asset. Thanks for playing the game.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-15T13:35:27Z

@saoi-games Definitely should of had a tutorial. The speed indicated the number of items you had and when you collided with the box you got score for the number of items you had so if your speed was 2, 8 would be added to your score, and when hit with the tennis balls your speed would go back up, so then when you collided with the donations box you would get no points.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-16T13:39:45Z

@nam-nguyen I also wasted so much time trying to use Bosca Ceoli to make music and just was not getting anything I liked. I gave up and was like I already am doing all the sound effects, let me throw in background noise. Seems the overall verdict is good. Maybe cause I play so many boardgames the yellow guys came off as toys and just that anyone that was not brandishing a gun at you would be seen as a toy. I am working on adding a tutorial. Will be expanding on the game and have a band of thieves who want to assist the Helping Hand in taking down the Mayor. If you enjoyed the game follow the itch.io page and I will be working to put out updates based on everyone's feedback. It is budum but one guy thought bottle and butter is not way off.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-16T14:53:17Z

@nam-nguyen Also, did you make it to the Mayor, score of 20 will get you to the final boss level.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-16T15:22:05Z

@nam-nguyen If you want to see a great play of the game by manbeardgames, go to that video https://www.twitch.tv/videos/297450872, and 4 hour 11 minute mark. The rng should be pretty fast. I usually get 30 and am happy I did not set the score to 30 because I feel no one would have made it. The speed indicates how many toys you currently are carrying, so if you collide with the box and your speed is 10 you will get no points, the tennis balls will set your speed back up to 10, taking away all the toys you are carrying. Future Ludum Dares I will make sure to have a tutorial or be very specific in my text write up.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-16T16:30:22Z

Yeah best playing of my game I have seen and he seemed to get everything.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-16T22:19:58Z

@miracl yeah working on a post jam version to have cleaner controls and a tutorial. Seems people either love or hate the audio. There will be more levels and story fleshing out the world. Did you get to 20 points and face the Mayor? Thanks for playing.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-16T23:21:00Z

@miracl If you collide with a toy you will see your score decrease. If you then collide with donations box when your speed is below 10, you'll get points 4 points if your speed is 6, 8 points if your speed is 2 and so on. If you collide with a tennis ball, your speed is reset to 10 and if you collide with 10 toys you can't move until a tennis ball hits you.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-17T02:23:46Z

@seizethedia, yeah I have heard a lot of people say it is loud, maybe I just always have the volume on my headphones set so low I didn't notice it. Working on a tutorial level now and plan to keep uploading new versions, but might be doing Extra Credit Game Jam this weekend, so not sure if I will be able to work on this or not. Did you make it to the Mayor and thanks for playing?

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-17T21:25:51Z

@tigerj yeah I am annoyed at myself for not just going with the black background. Yeah the layering was good at one point but fixing so many different bugs I think the ordering became off. Working on a tutorial and a whole new group of characters called the Yarn Brigade. Hoping to get a new version loaded. Did you make it to the Mayor? Actually I'll watch. Pretty sure I watched it live the other day.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-17T21:27:53Z

@antonsem yeah seems like people either love or hate the music. I thought it was better than silence. Maybe I could have timed the audio better. Thanks for the feedback and I was really happy to get something made.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-18T13:52:11Z

@kromeboy working on a game for extra credit game jam which has a sort of metal song and the game is fantasy themed. Since it is a work from me, probably will get the same vibe, especially similar art. Also, planning on putting an updated version of City of Forgotten Toys. Once I finish the concept art I might post the Yarn Brigade on the front page and also still need to do a Post Mortem.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-18T13:57:28Z

@jokku Yeah, I was really split if it should be on loop, the game feels a little hollow with just the evil laughs when you pickup toys. Happy you enjoyed the world.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-18T21:04:16Z

@Megalink. Thanks for the review. Yeah some people like the floaty controls but it probably is just how the collision detection is setup, probably tweaking some numbers could make it feel more fluid. Yeah I was thinking maybe play for 20 seconds, have a short break then start up again for the music, having silence was a little eerie but I know, I was worried it would get annoying and seems some people started singing along and loved it and others were done with it after a short time. Did you make it to the Mayor?

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-21T12:09:23Z

@kalcoslinder I am happy you were able to figure things out. If you get 20 points you confront the Mayor. Working on a post jam version with tutorial and better controls, health, and extra levels.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-21T12:09:23Z

@void-productions Happy you enjoyed the humor and sounds, did you make it to the Mayor? If you get 20 points you confront the Mayor. Working on a post jam version with tutorial, health, additional characters and levels.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-22T03:02:12Z

@daniel-mak silence was also weird. I think the goofiness fit the world. Boss fight got away from me time wise. The rest hopefully will be addressed in the post jam version. Thanks for playing.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-22T03:04:08Z

@manbeardgames initially the toys were supposed to drop randomly on the map but was not getting it to work. Addressing a lot of issues in post jam version I hope to upload

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-22T13:24:01Z

@abhis1kadian Thanks for the kind reviews. Seems there are more positive reviews on the sounds than negative, which I am happy about because getting actual music to give me something I liked, just was not happening. Did you make it to the Mayor? I have a pretty busy end of August, was hoping to get a post Jam version out but with two four/five day vacations in August, I am not sure if I will.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-22T21:00:04Z

@roman-petrov added a ground check collider on the thumb, so once I upload that version you should be able to jump if you get into those weird collision places. I saw one person play the game and get completely stuck between two bricks and I had never encountered that in testing but also in testing I knew the controls well so most of the ledge stickiness was avoided.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-22T21:01:37Z

@Syraptor A tutorial is coming and additional levels and even an expansion on the story.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-23T02:08:21Z

@jeplmr Thanks. I find I have clashing things that somehow meld. There is humor but I find the world gritty with some noir. Make it to the Mayor? It is amazing how some people had no idea what to do and others picked up the game pretty easily. I hope it was a fun experience.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-23T02:22:57Z

@jeplmr haha I did the same thing for a comment and surprisingly the comment was still pretty true

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-23T15:05:16Z

@deformhead I have now added a specific ground check for the thumb and was toying with a box collider for the rest. Also, a tutorial should hopefully help with the confusion of what to do. I am happy you enjoyed the audio and surprisingly to me, that seems to have become the selling point of the game.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-24T13:33:36Z

@thibaultar @agar3s Your speed decreased by one per toy picked up, or did you think the base speed of 10 was too slow? @agar3s there was a score indicating number of toys you collected and a 2 minute timer. I am planning on adding health and setting min speed to 5. Thanks for the feedback

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-27T19:40:38Z

@conk I sure did and the artwork was fun to do, but getting the camera framed as I wanted made it so zoomed out that most of the detail was lost, at least some of it could be seen on the splash screen and game over screen, there was stitching and button eyes on the stuffed toy. I learned a lot on this and am looking forward to December. Did not love the theme but got me to create a world I do really like. Planning on uploading a post jam version, have health and a few other things setup. The tutorial is also almost done. Yeah, seems I have the lovers and the haters of the music. I'll see if I go more traditional on the next one. Thanks for the kind words and I am excited for the ratings in 8 days.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-28T11:51:42Z

@p1nkmaria yeah the theme was subtlety in the gameplay with only being able to carry 10 toys and the tennis balls making you feel confined. Other people also felt the theme more in the Mayor level but it was mainly in the story, which was on the main page and under rules. I am happy you enjoyed it.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-28T21:38:30Z

@zinsoki I am working on adding a tutorial and heqalth. Yeah a simple particle effect on pickup would be good. Yeah adding the ability to kill enemies and maybe more characters. So much I want to add and so little time. Thanks for playing.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-28T23:39:59Z

@Sollara Games Already working on health and being able to kill the bad guys. Also, setting min speed to 5, since some people said the game was too slow. Also, added a collision to the thumb, so hopefully that stuck situation would not happen. I saw it on someone's stream and was amazed that it happened. Thanks for playing.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-30T14:25:38Z

@sloyd I hope that is a good thing.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-08-30T17:47:12Z

@ratherjolly Thanks. Yeah getting stuck between platforms can be annoying.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-09-01T17:57:00Z

@johnny-turbo yeah the controls need tweaking. Given the game is only 2 levels not sure if putting a checkpoint makes sense but it is really easy to implement, with just reloading the level. Working on this game and creating one that is a little different with words as the platforms and triggers with the words, so zombie would summon a zombie. Yeah I like doodling so cartoony 2d is my style. I am away from a computer on a trip but maybe I can play your game when I get back Monday. Thanks

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-09-02T20:12:44Z

@jordantanner Thanks, they were fun to do. I am excited for the ratings.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-09-04T13:19:37Z

@martintristan Yeah, maybe I should have been more explicit in the rules that picking up toys slowed you down. The jumping might have also been inconsistent due to weird collisions, but I think it was partly based on velocity. You had to jump on the Mayor's head to defeat him, I understand if either your volume was too low or my enunciation was not the best, also if you just jumped on his head once, that might also have been an issue. You have to jump 10 times. Thanks for playing.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-09-04T14:12:49Z

@inventroom @ursagames Thanks for streaming my games. @inventroom Working on polishing and posting a new version. Will be able to jump with the thumb collision. Yeah people are split on the audio. Trying to mix the level of sounds so everything can be heard and the background music is a little quieter. @ursagames happy you liked the music.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-09-04T14:52:49Z

@dreamingdice Yeah it was not obvious that getting hit with the tennis balls set your speed to 10 and your score was based on speed below 10, so if speed was 6 you would get 4 points. Yeah, was able to put 30 hours into this and really wish I could figure out animation, to add a little more life to the game. I also am not sure what causes the crazy high jumps, I think it is a weird collision that might cause a weird speed reading allowing a crazy jump effect, not sure if a feature or a bug, depends if people liked it or not. The Mayor shows up if you get 20 points, it is a simple boss level fight and if you defeat him, you get the you win screen. I am amazed that the yellow things did not read as sorry pieces and toys, most people saw them as enemies, probably should just have the teddy bears and add a border so they standout, like someone suggested. Yeah the hand was going to be the villain and the teddy bear was going to be the main character, but the story and idea morphed. Next release should have a health bar and you can kill the bad guys. Thanks for playing and I am excited to see where I rate in humore.

The City Of Forgotten Toys by dk5000p 2018-09-04T18:58:40Z

@andrei9 Happy you thought the game was cool, if you have any negatives or what you thought was cool, that would be a lot of help. Thanks for playing.

Claustrophobia by deformhead 2018-08-22T12:54:06Z

I agree I am not feeling running out of space even with the game supposed to invoke claustrophobia, I think sound would add a lot. Felt a lot like pokemon for the art style. It was overall fun, but I am a big component of sound adding atmosphere, which this game was definitely trying to invoke and I bet it was just a time thing. Like for me adding animation was difficult.

Chicken Space by fabonacci 2018-08-13T02:45:59Z

Is there no sound? I find the chicken really funny. I wish I could move the boxes around. Got a score of 91, did the game break, doesn't seem like it will end.

SpaceRunner by jackou 2018-08-13T03:43:40Z

The WebGL version is not loading for me, downloaded and playing the game. I like the interpretation of the theme and graphics. The controls are simple but determining what I am trying to do/pickup was a little confusing.

Insufficient Storage by Doey 2018-08-13T02:02:32Z

The overall game is great. Not sure if the game would be more interesting if there were varying enemies. There were multiple things to track and it was great.

Mindlapse by Vulture_42 2018-08-20T19:52:43Z

Initially I thought the bricks were just part of the scenery and you could not pick them up. I also did not love that if I attacked enemies that were close that I would hurt myself but I think it makes sense for balancing reasons. The fact that if I was repairing a room and was not fast enough would cause me to die was a little sad, maybe an indication to bail. As some other people stated it was a little weird that you could rebuild rooms that you lost, it was uplifting, but made it so it might just make more sense to lose rooms then take the chance that you are repairing a room and it doesn't complete. Claymation is great, though, and the enemies had a scary and weird feel. Overall I enjoyed the game and it was fun to play.

Clean-Up Crunch by ScrambledLegs 2018-08-13T02:52:53Z

The game does not run. Make sure you include a zip with all the files generated by the build. I would make a folder with your games name and build to that folder. You were using Unity, correct?

WearOut by Abhis1Kadian 2018-08-21T20:27:36Z

I enjoyed the story and graphics. Having in game rules would always be nice. The rules state I regenerate health but I was not seeing it and it just seemed like my health would always go down even if I was attacking. I had fun, though.

Space Invasion by Nam Nguyen 2018-08-16T13:07:12Z

Loved the minimalist artwork and humor of the game. As many have stated the difficulty was a little up there. Also determining what I could or couldn't walk on when I used the gun was difficult and it was a little weird that the spikes killed me if I touched them from the side and not on the pointy part. These are just minor things and the skip level was a nice touch, so people could see all the work you put in. Good job.

Obliterating Eyeball! by Cope 2018-08-13T01:10:22Z

You need the dll file to be included. Make sure you zipped all the files. While I used Unity and it does not seem you did, I was having issues cause I did not zip the dll file and this appears to be the same thing.

Slay The Slimes by rk3Omega 2018-08-13T02:36:35Z

I love the artwork. The controls made it feel like I needed one more hand. Also, the pits just felt large to jump.

Cluster by Ignacio Zamorano 2018-08-15T04:31:43Z

Loved the artwork and attacks. The antagonist was creepy. Initially I thought since space was attack, that I only had a certain number of attacks and initially was not sure what I was trying to do but it easily became clear.

ChromeSmasher by Mexzter 2018-08-28T16:14:47Z

I agree with most of the feedback, it took a little while for the game to speed up and then once I hit 20 points it seemed to ramp up a lot and my clicks were not being detected. Also, the death animation did not always play, so that was a little sad. I am happy you had a mute music button because the song did get a little repetitive. Overall good game, that could be great with some tweaks.

DataSkream by Sollara Games 2018-08-28T23:38:10Z

Really enjoyed the music and the gameplay. Was not 100% clear what I was supposed to do, besides not fall off. Not sure how much easier it would have been with a controller. Really liked the skull in the background and noticing more visuals each time I played the game. Overall, very good job.

Action Replay by riperieri 2018-09-04T16:55:51Z

It is a little weird to have rocket shooting foxes as test subjects. I enjoyed the controls and timing things correctly to beat the levels. Overall I had fun. I didn't play long enough to determine if rockets would need to be used to defeat actual enemies.

LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Sacrificial Sam by HitchH1k3r 2018-12-09T00:00:32Z

I felt the game a little tedious. The puzzles were more trial and error. I also agree that switching characters was monotonous. The ending definitely knocked the theme home. I did like that remembering the characters abilities at the end helped you complete the level quicker. I also enjoyed the character design.

Revolver Curse by SkullPixel 2018-12-05T16:19:45Z

I really enjoyed the music and the concept. Would have been nice to be able to collect bullets besides the ones I shot. The artwork was also very good. I personally wasn't hearing sound effects but another person commented there were some. It also did feel bad to die using your last shot maybe a small delay on death to give the player a chance to recover their shot. Overall nice game. I get that you were sacrificing health for ammo but for me it did not feel on theme enough.

The Resistance by Sebastian Lague 2018-12-12T16:38:21Z

I feel if you could make the jumps should be more obvious. There were situations where I was not sure if I could make the jump until trying a lot. I liked the mechanics, but since this seems like a puzzle game the fact that precision execution was needed made it less fun. Still great artwork and sounds. It was also fun watching your behind the scenes.

Planet Saver by jmarkohun 2018-12-10T13:59:41Z

I liked the jumping between planets. The music got redundant but the rifle shot sounds were nice. Didn't seem like I could get hurt. Good ideas just needs a lot more time to flesh them out.

YOU ARE FIRED! by urbanhelsing 2018-12-14T15:38:09Z

@Yaen I had the same situation where I placed a person and immediately fired them. I only got a little over 3200 dollars not sure if I can do better than that. Was funny reading the responses and the gameplay was simple enough but also fun. A high score screen would make the user motivated to keep playing. Still good sounds and besides issues where I might fire the wrong person, the game played well.

The Cult by mmason 2018-12-04T06:31:48Z

I really enjoyed the fact that my sprite kept changing based on sacrificing cultists. While using your dead bodies as platforms was nice, it didn't seem to add too much to the game, seemed more to justify giving a lot of lives and throwing many obstacles into the game. The music ended up getting a little redundant. The pixel art graphics are great. I ended up sacrificing 16 lives. Might play it again but would love if the music track was different maybe could achieve that by oscillating the pitch a little.

The Tearable Three by grandtheftmarmot 2018-12-09T22:19:07Z

Web build leads nowhere

The Tearable Three by grandtheftmarmot 2018-12-09T22:59:24Z

Loved the artwork, I own a lot of sock monkeys. Was a little disappointing that each level was the exact same. The characters did play a little differently, though, so that was nice. As others have stated you can fix game breaking bugs and warping through the wall is a game breaking bug. It was a fun concept and I bet the post jam version will be great, as you already noticed this version was just a little too tough. I ended up skipping each level to see if there was a fun end screen, but there was just you won, still good job.

Super Sellout by Moski 2018-12-10T21:07:15Z

Loved the feeling that I was in a comic book. Seemed the F worked better on some characters than others, depending on distance and that might have been due to points earned. I loved the hello gamers on the main page. The art was great and this was a funny entry.

Ai System by ToadieTechnika 2018-12-07T22:11:37Z

I think there was too precise platformer for this to work in the puzzle genre. Lots of people playing puzzle games do not want to lose because they didn't time the jump right. They want to feel smart that they figured out the solution. Took me a bit to figure out how to start the game. I actually was expecting it to almost all be a short film. The concept was nice, the music got a little annoying, and I think it needed to lean closer to puzzle than platformer.

Together by beta 2018-12-10T18:39:10Z

Was tough after giving up my radiator. I made all the sacrifices, it didn't seem to have much impact other than the radiator where things were shaky. Since there was no fill option, I was fine just using black for everything. It still had a nice story and a fun feel.

bouncy arts by wowa 2018-12-10T00:42:26Z

Great puzzle game. Good job introducing the concepts. I stopped after the shield level but it was a lot of fun. I did not feel much sacrifice in the game but it played very well.

Air Drop! by digitaldude555 2018-12-14T14:19:03Z

At first I had no idea I could move which made the game much harder. The game crashed on me a few times. I see there is a win screen. I think it would be more fun with just random waves and a score. Still the sounds were great and it was pretty funny. The bonuses that the person was saying didn't seem to actually happen. The entire wave wasn't wiped out and I didn't gain faster fire rate. Still it was a good.

Please Player by Noa Calice 2018-12-09T23:24:35Z

Loved the voice acting and the artwork like always. The main character/villain could of had more distortion and not just sounded like you but this was fun and interesting.

Salty Horde by gagapete 2018-12-21T15:09:58Z

So it seems I can place nine towers which means I need a tower to kill 6 salt guys. I was having trouble determining how many shots the towers had. If they had six that means either you would some shots to hit multiple people or never miss. This also takes into account the salt never touches you when you are moving, since that takes away a tower you can place. I enjoyed the concept and had fun playing but felt trying to get all the salts in one place to optimize the towers was a little to tough.

Pirates may Cry by themarioga 2018-12-04T16:03:42Z

Get memory out of bounds error when using the webgl build.

Master or Ritual by invader 2018-12-09T23:46:42Z

Was there supposed to be nothing to do in level 5? The game felt very redundant each level. Also, you received way too many mana pots. Would have been interesting if there were more maze elements, but to do this the character would need to walk a lot faster. I liked the idea and enjoyed the art, but the overall gameplay was not interesting.

The Grassland Kings by Mathstr0fficial 2018-12-04T16:39:13Z

Currently the link does not work and not sure how many people want to go to an unsecure site. I suggest just hosting your game on itch.io or another similar site.

Diaball by Antti Haavikko 2018-12-11T14:28:23Z

I did figure out the slowdown mechanic but there were still some parts where it was unclear why the skull was exploding. I did figure out that spikes kill you, I guess too enclosed spaces also do you in. The game was fun but also a little unforgiving but I guess having infinite tries allows that. I still think it would have been more fun to have a few more skulls in early levels. Still great artwork and cool design.

Demon Rising by GerardB 2018-12-11T16:37:53Z

The only issue I have is how terrible webgl builds work when combining keyboard and mouse, so that detracted from the game but not your score since it is just how webgl builds are. Loved the artwork and when the controls worked the game played nicely. It was fun, but once you leveled up it did get a little easy.

Collatero by TheFunAttic 2018-12-13T14:57:29Z

Really enjoyed the music and the ants dancing. The only issue I had was my worst round was the tutorial round since it explained things too slowly, so pretty much everyone got sacrificed. Still was a fun experience.

Celtic Fun by LJay 2018-12-07T14:20:24Z

I was hoping I could win by shooting ornaments at the guy throwing body parts but it didn't seem to give enough points. The artwork and audio is amazing. I got most of the tree filled but there were guts on the tree, so it didn't seem like I won. Winning seemed quite difficult and there were not enough ornaments. I guess we had limited ornaments due to the theme, but I think the game would play better with unlimited ammo and a cool down.

Wild Heat Showdown by Akusan 2018-12-06T17:23:35Z

I enjoyed the procedural generation and music. Congrats on fitting this into two jams. The theme did not translate well for me, I know I was sacrificing health to jump but it just didn't come across as sacrifice. Took me forever to figure out I could double jump. As stated by other people the aiming was also a little clunky.

Path of (dis)abilities by yuriaicruz 2018-12-03T22:17:07Z

Was difficult to scroll up the map to proceed. Not sure if there were many options, since you were just matching colors. I liked the overall idea but seeing myself dodge or pull a level would have been cool. The artwork is very polished.

Tenoch's Turmoil by evbo 2018-12-10T16:47:07Z

The constant changing platform location was nice to make the game different but added to the difficulty. A lot of times it was difficult to get to the needed fruit with just the single jump. Still great music and artwork and game idea.

aberth: simple text based choose your own adventure by jfraser314 2018-12-11T22:15:05Z

This was creative and definitely weird. I loved the cheese sandwich part, very funny. Was nice to have humor sprinkled throughout. This was definitely different. I would suggest opting out of graphics.

You Can't Make An Omelette by Derek Wilson 2018-12-21T16:07:17Z

I made all the omelettes. There were a lot of levels and different obstacles introduced, the difficulty didn't seem to progress and not initially knowing where the pan was lead to some trial and error. The music got a little redundant but I loved the sizzle when the egg made it in the pan. I think the layout of the screen could have been a little better maybe an initial wide zoom to see where the pan is. Still good job.

The Unbinding by meadjix 2018-12-05T17:34:35Z

The devil reminds me of Aqua Teen Hunger Force. I enjoyed the game. I learned you should always sacrifice attack because you can just run into the enemies and still kill them. The latest level I made it to the location of the portal was not clear, so I was not sure exactly where to go. Also, while the altars said they gave you back your abilities there didn't seem to be any visual indication. Still it was a good game and on theme.

Ludum Dare: The Game by Darylsteak 2018-12-04T06:04:36Z

It was too bad I couldn't get a better rating even after making more sacrifices. Also, interesting there wasn't a drink coffee and not sleep option, haha, I know that is how a few people do Ludum Dare. I was so focused on the buttons that I was not paying too much attention to the screen, so while the graphics were nice, it was a little tough to appreciate them. There might have been a way to optimize what you were doing but I was not really seeing it. Still it was a fun game and maybe the message is, no matter what you do you'll get the same rating, so might as well just take every distraction that comes along.

x by ericm 2018-12-07T21:56:36Z

The keys I pickup don't seem to register. Are items supposed to carryover between levels? I seemed to just get too many bugs to make this enjoyable. It seems like there are good ideas here but was tough for me to really continue. Also, seems I can just go back to the main menu and choose the next level even if I didn't complete the first level.

Sacrifices must be made - Ludum Dare 43 by great-bobleny 2018-12-04T18:11:49Z

The issue I had was my population was not increasing and the events come way too fast. Also, I never had time to sacrifice. Maybe I'll try playing again. There is a fun concept here.

Sacrifices must be made - Ludum Dare 43 by great-bobleny 2018-12-05T02:28:09Z

I need a pig to get a kid?

Suicidal Knight by Corbak 2018-12-10T21:34:28Z

I enjoyed playing this but it got a little redundant when each sacrifice was just to lose a heart, should have made the randomness so lose a heart was never paired with lose a heart, so there appeared to be a choice. Still it was a lot of fun and well thought out. It was funny and on theme.

Not Me! by Gio- 2018-12-21T17:56:04Z

Enjoyed the gameplay. Reading the same descriptions each round got a little redundant and didn't seem to assist much in helping you figure out the culprit. There still was humor and I enjoyed deducing the killer.

Ronin Sacrifice: The Tale of the Last Rabbit by honey 2018-12-14T15:05:05Z

So what is the lowest number the developers have? I feel the platformer controls could have been a little tighter and hitting up for jump was a little weird. I did like the ability to restart the levels. Some of the situations were a little frustrating but the artwork was great and loved all the sound effects. The music did get a little redundant. I ended up with 87 rabbits sacrificed. Also, amazing the number of levels. Not sure if having the corpses behave with physics would have subtracted or added to the game, but I really wanted to be able to push the fox corpse around for positioning. Still all around a good game.

Ronin Sacrifice: The Tale of the Last Rabbit by honey 2018-12-18T16:52:33Z

@honey Oh yeah the main negative aspects were because I really wanted to get a high score. If I am overlooking trying to get a high score than most of the negatives can also be ignored.

Friends OR Food by najmm 2018-12-04T18:26:46Z

I liked the idea of the characters moving like a snake but it didn't play very well. Also, would have been nice to be able to swap which character was in control. The guns also were weird for two characters. I agree that the sacrifice theme is not very clear. I see you opted out of graphics, did you not make them? Either way they look nice.

Charming's Sacrifices by Colletto Gregory 2018-12-13T13:59:13Z

Loved the cardboard box people and the music. Was not really sure what I was supposed to be doing seemed pressing r,e, then z was taking out enemies. The losing of the UI seemed more like a bug than a feature and giving the user an option and something in return would have helped. The game lives up to its name, though, since it was quite charming. Also, the screen did not fit too well even on fullscreen. Still this is a good prototype and would be fun to expand.

Snoway by pyrofool 2018-12-09T01:16:46Z

I enjoyed the graphics and throwing snowballs. Were some weird collisions with the squirrels. The theme is also not very relevant. I still have fun.

Sacrifices by ECGamez 2018-12-03T10:32:44Z

As everyone has already stated when you click no in the Web build it just freezes, not sure if the same thing happens in the Windows build. Would be cool if clicking no just leads to the guy punching the king. There are really no choices in this game. Also, given the simple nature of the controls, they probably could have been integrated into the main screen. I liked the animations and it was somewhat humorous. I just kind of wish I had options. I played it a few times to see if I could punch more than once, but no luck.

BOBA by BMOPAPA 2018-12-04T07:21:50Z

This is great, initially I thought the two straw heart level was the hardest but now I think it is this one. BobaLevel.PNG I can't figure out how to get the middle boba. Rate more games so this gets more exposure. The w control also seemed to work better in some levels than others. I really wish I could save and comeback to a level. Level select/unlocking levels would have been a nice feature. I enjoyed the audio and felt I was in some monster tea shop. This had nothing to do with sacrifice, though.

Hot Air Balloons Or People? by itsjustjord 2018-12-04T07:01:26Z

So doing nothing causes you to complete the level with enough coin and people and not a terrible time staying a float. I didn't really feel I was sacrificing anything because the goal of 50 gold and at least one person can be met by doing nothing. The main menu music was nice but the actual game music got redundant. I enjoyed the graphics for the bird hitting the balloon. Needs a few tweaks to actually feel there is a challenge here.

Sacrificial Altar: Pipes by volkomist 2018-12-10T16:29:51Z

This should be listed under unfinished.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-03T02:26:16Z

@itsjustjord Thanks. I tried to make the enemies seem unique.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-03T04:48:17Z

@pukami Have you played D&D or any RPG's. If not I'll give a rundown of my combat system, attack is accuracy, damage determines how much you deal, health should be straightforward, speed decides if you go first, defense determines if you get hit. Everything but health is hidden for the enemy but they also have stats. Thanks for playing.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-03T04:53:57Z

@pkenney Yep, health is the dump stat. I probably should of had space to stop the song and reveal the buttons, I did think about it but didn't have time. Yeah, sometimes exiting and returning to the browser can cause things to be wonky. Yeah there were a few things I would have changed but I was happy that I basically executed my vision. Also would have been nice to have some special abilities.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-03T10:13:23Z

@tigerj Thanks, a lot it was fun watching you play.I am excited to see what yourbr0ther chooses as his options. Yeah you missed the song

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-03T10:52:07Z

@james-leib Thanks. Did you finish the game or which demon did you in?

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-03T11:08:34Z

@king-kujito Aw then you didn't get to hear the song. I suggest increasing your defense and lowering your health

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-03T17:15:52Z

@pkenney Would you want a message like you missed by 5? I did kind of want to have more indication of what was happening. I toyed with the idea of your health getting erased and rewritten, since the idea is that this is your player sheet, also thought about allowing you to the enter the character's name. In the end I just stuck with the queues being audio but some of the timing could be off if the player just mashed roll button.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-03T19:16:47Z

@pkenney The stat choices are the only decision, but the point is how much someone would give up to save a friend. I was trying to make this feel very D&D, so all you know is turn order, but I do get how that might not play the best for game. Yeah I was trying to have it stay on the enemy's turn longer for the audio but it didn't seem to be exactly working.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-03T22:06:31Z

@adroitconceptions Yeah I tried to figure out how to go about that. I gave you the ability to critical hit, so you could decrease damage and increase attack, but in the end it is just best to keep decreasing health. Seems a lot of people are adverse to that. You don't need health if you can't be hit.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-04T07:03:23Z

@mmason Congrats to you to making it that far, did you fight or sacrifice? Yeah I was very happy with having fatigue rhyme with league.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-04T13:02:56Z

@mmason Thanks for giving the game that much time. I will say, you can win the fight

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-04T16:05:02Z

@themarioga Yeah, I am kicking myself for not adding some simple particle effects. Also, submitted to minijam and forgot I needed a frog in the game so the last short time I had was spent drawing that and reuploading. Thanks for playing.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-04T17:00:48Z

@mmason Yeah, I was going to allow a skip and then didn't think of how to code it, since I wanted the buttons to appear and then later determined how to do it, not sure it qualifies as a game breaking bug but would be nice to fix.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-04T18:25:42Z

@dzuvan Thanks, since that is the majority of the game. Did you get to hear the boss demon's song and did you choose sacrifice or fight?

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-04T19:17:41Z

@dzuvan You are not the first to say that about the music, I love Jack Black, so all good. No one making the Noble sacrifice for Billy.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-04T22:39:53Z

@lenny-sirivong Thanks for playing, I hope you got to hear the demon's song

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-04T22:42:33Z

@vodish Yeah, inspired from the musical episode of Buffy. That character was awesome.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-04T22:50:07Z

@ursagames Thanks, now I am sad I didn't see it live. Oh well I'll watch the video. Thanks for putting in time streaming the games

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-05T13:04:35Z

@najmm You need to decrease your skills by 5 more

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-05T14:31:15Z

@wie Yes, it is figuring out the optimal way to setup your stats and edit them as you go. The break in your turn and enemy turn needed to be a little more and I needed to have some delays on audio. Some particle effects and animation would have also added a lot. Besides mainly UI and polish it ended up being what I wanted to make. Thanks for playing.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-05T17:44:10Z

@Shapkofil I am happy you enjoyed. I might end up editing this for optimize jam.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-06T16:18:20Z

@vlad11 We'll see how I do on audio this time, my last Ludum entry also had a lot of voice acting and the views were split. I feel this time it is less polarizing

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-07T01:00:31Z

@Akusan Yep, that was the inspiration for the game. Forgot to roll a real d20 to get a rolling sound effect

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-07T20:43:09Z

@Saering Yeah, I ended up putting a little too much time into voice acting. Will be optimizing this for optical optimize jam. Particle effects will be included and hopefully animation for the attacks.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-07T21:17:35Z

@ericm I should have an updated version done this week, updating it for a jam. Hopefully can get the timing on the voices better allow a skip of the song or add more songs and make it random. Also, add a blood particle effect and hopefully an attack. Maybe have a simple background noise.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-07T23:47:51Z

@cerno-b That should have been fixed by rolling a 20 on the die for an auto hit but it might take a long time. Yeah going to be making an updated version this weekend and try to get the audio timed better and add effects. Thanks for the feedback. Also, first step is adding a skip button

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-08T20:05:35Z

@digitaldude555 Yeah I am no artist but I think it was clear you were fighting demons. Yeah big goal was to do better in theme this time, since it was one of my weakest categories before. Thanks for playing.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-09T22:46:31Z

@subtlydramatic Thanks, there definitely are people who like my art. I enjoy my art but also know it isn't amazing or anything. I happy you enjoyed it. I am trying to improve the game for Optical Optimize Jam this week, but also am working on a Hack and Slash game for weekly game jam, so we'll see.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-10T14:54:20Z

@meskaline Thanks, yeah there was so much I wanted to add and I thought I had the time setup well to fit it in, but then I was submitting this to minijam and realized I needed a frog in the game, so scrambled to draw a frog. An extra hour of polish would have been nice. Updating it this week for Optical Optimize Jam. Hoping to add a simple move towards the player attack and being hit animations. Also, trying to get the audio synched up better.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-11T16:39:30Z

@gamefive Thanks for the kind words.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-11T18:58:32Z

@matank Yeah, hoping to fix all that in a post version build. You figured out which stats are the worst, so congrats.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-12T00:15:17Z

@gafblizzard Attack and defense are the most important. Thanks for playing. Maybe I should of included more variations for hitting and missing.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-12T00:29:23Z

@gafblizzard Only loss is opponent goes first but won't matter if they can't hit

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-12T13:56:31Z

@alext-design The link posted in your comment didn't seem to work, but I went to the initial post you made and was able to find your playthrough. I am happy you enjoyed the audio, sadly you didn't make it to the final boss, so you missed the song and there is the option of just sacrificing yourself to rescue Billy. Still it seemed like you had fun playing the game.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-12T21:45:22Z

@syrapt0r Thanks so much for the comment, yeah I could have made the gameplay clearer. I see this game could easily be mobile. I really should start porting my games and charging some money. It is great hearing that people had fun. Thanks for giving it 20 tries. I will add a skip for the song to make playing it a second time not as painful.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-13T14:09:22Z

@lise-carreel Yeah, if you check my previous Ludum Dare entry and pretty much anything I have uploaded there is just absurdity to it. Yep, you figured out how to win. Not sure if showing the enemies stats would have added or subtracted from the game. Also, was thinking of giving the enemies random stat values to up the number of times you can play. Trying to get the audio to synch up better in post jam version. Also, balancing the abilities better would be nice. Originally I was going to allow you to persuade the demons but had to cut it due to time. Getting the UI a little neater is also a goal.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-13T14:10:30Z

@arron-fowler Happy you replayed it a few times, to up the replay value even more I am going to allow you to skip the final demon's song. Will try to get the timing done a little better so the turn based will work better.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-13T14:38:00Z

@hannaesthetic Yeah, this one of my first times doing a game almost completely based on the UI. It was tough getting everything lined up since Unity does the text on a canvas layer so does not show up in the actual game space. I was trying to just give some visual cues, since the game being purely audio can get confusing but the words didn't stand out and I see how they do not really fit in the world. I should have indicated what the abilities do. Yeah maybe should have had health be derived based on some other stat but in the end the game worked basically how I envisioned, just lacking some polish.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-13T17:31:55Z

@Keppu Yeah, had to include a frog for minijam and needed to include it last minute. Otherwise I would have included a frog demon. Yeah, I wish I knew a good way to have better graphics besides spending six hours drawing something by hand and given it is a Compo entry I just don't have the time to do that. Yeah, last Ludum Dare I put my effort into humor and it seems my entries do fine in humor without me trying to force it, so wanted to emphasize the theme a lot since it was one of my weaker categories.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-13T19:56:37Z

@jk5000 I am happy I was able to make you laugh. I am planning on Polishing this up, hopefully it isn't too hard

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-13T22:15:18Z

@rexpeppers Yeah, should have included an animation. It was all off audio. Ran out of time.

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2018-12-22T18:59:21Z

@honey Yeah audio is tough in unity. Maybe I run the audio on a delay. I made an updated version but truthfully I am not sure it is much better. Gave the enemies attack visual but getting the audio timed right still wasn't working

Cowboy Hell by dk5000p 2019-01-21T15:15:42Z

@philstrahl Yeah, I think I fixed the bug. Thanks for playing. Not sure why all the arrows are misaligned.

Labrats by Matank 2018-12-11T20:54:53Z

The two hardest levels for me were 4 and 7. I assumed the solution for 4 but watched the walkthrough to confirm and needed the walkthrough for 7. I love that the last level is just scattered with red herrings. This game was both humorous and sad. One of the best entries I have played and I have played 50 entries now. Good job and good use of different abilities and introducing them in a narrative. Currently what I am working on for the puzzle game I am making. Adding a narrative keeps the player engrossed.

the big bad burger (browser playable) by nik2434 2018-12-03T02:19:07Z

I saved you from the big bad burger. The controls could have been a little better but the art and concept made me smile. Also, a finish line indicating an end of level would be nice. The first level in particular just had a big drop, which confused me.

Volcano Fling by Barrier 2018-12-04T06:44:47Z

The fireballs seemed to fling a lot better than the people. The flinging just did not work as I expected. I really enjoyed the sound effects. Seemed it sort of made sense to keep a fireball around and fling it as protection. If the flinging is cleaned up, I feel there is something here.

Volcano Fling by Barrier 2018-12-04T15:22:13Z

@barrier Yeah I don't think any of that qualifies as game breaking bugs. In the previous Ludum Dare I fixed some colliders that could get you completely stuck but that was about it.

Warping Wizards by ixuz 2018-12-04T16:37:12Z

Yeah there isn't really a theme of sacrifice except for the fact it is closely associated with demons. The web build controls can go wonky but that is just the nature of having mouse and web controls together. Overall the music and art was great and the game was fun.

Fight Kult by TalesOfPixelia 2018-12-09T01:59:54Z

I know this probably would play a lot better with a controller. Was tough to jump, move, and attack using a keyboard. I liked the graphics and enjoyed the music. The mood was definitely there. Sacrifice seemed more in aesthetic than anything actually in the game.

Sacrifice Bob by Renan Moura 2018-12-03T15:26:20Z

On level 2 I get stuck if I jump to the middle platform. I did like the game mechanic, screen wrapping is always fun. I think the jumps should be a little easier to make, since this strikes me as more of puzzle game than a platformer. I liked level one and while I could push Billy the spikes did not fall on him in level 2.

The Maze of Sacrifice by wcarss 2018-12-03T03:38:45Z

I am not really sure where the theme sacrifice comes in, in this game. I also didn't really get the purpose of the other blocks they just seemed like things to avoid. Are the mazes procedurally generated? Since the maps seemed very similar it got a little boring. I liked the map getting revealed, but I felt there needed to be some obstacle trying to prevent me from finishing.

Shepherd Sacrifice by aCuriosity 2018-12-06T19:43:18Z

Was hard to make out some of the audio. Would have been nice to have some way to win or end the game. It was still fun to shoot lasers and gusts of wind, though.

Paw Of Black by BOOtak 2018-12-11T18:23:00Z

Some sounds would have been nice. Seemed very difficult, at least to me. Was hard to maneuver around the gun dogs. Still I loved the aesthetic and was a nice take on the theme.

Dungeon Clicker Crowler by HowlingShame 2018-12-03T10:51:23Z

The game seems to break after first play through and you just progressively die each time. I would look into that and upload a new version, cause that is a game breaking bug. The drag and drop controls did not seem to always work. The rules could have been explained a little better, but overall it was fun after figuring out what I was supposed to do and the graphics and audio was nice.

My First Ludum Dare Game! by SirNovahc 2018-12-03T15:00:31Z

There should be level bounds, also it was weird to go left through the portal to defend the wall. Also, since villagers seem to replenish pretty quickly I didn't really feel like I was sacrificing anything. Also, as stated by @tornoz if you restart you become invulnerable. I enjoyed the music and sound effects. Would have been nice to have some particles for the kills. There is an interesting concept here and with the right story I could see a shaman absorbing the personalities of others to gain their abilities.

Human Meat Is Very Nourishing by Rolly 2018-12-03T16:27:13Z

So is there no winning this game? I guess if you never shoot the car, the zombies never come. I wanted to find the sanctuary with the zombie cure or the zombie killing squad. @ravarion Yeah I was wondering if there was a bullet limit, you can accidentally shoot other people. Overall, though, the mood was great, there was humor, and I actually felt the sacrifice theme. Nothing crazy new here, but it was fun.

Human Meat Is Very Nourishing by Rolly 2018-12-03T16:45:02Z

@Rolly Now I kind of want to go for 50 waves but it didn't seem like enough changed to want to do that.

Panquetzalt by OwlyCode 2018-12-03T03:15:35Z

The game felt a little fast paced. In the end I just ended up clicking randomly cause it didn't seem like I had enough time to determine what was the right option. Also, was not sure if some of the sacrifices were supposed to be exactly or at least. The art was good and the laser eyes was cool.

Ethical Smoothies Co. by kypello 2018-12-13T17:24:44Z

The game made me chuckle. Loved the animations and the music. I tried being ethical, seemed I needed to sacrifice people faster. The smoothie company is just not very profitable. Still was fun.

End of mankind by jijaweb 2018-12-09T02:15:35Z

There was no health bar for the enemy to indicate how I was doing. The game has to be played in fullscreen, since you used unity there is an option for the webpage to autodetect the size, doesn't always work depending on how you ended up building the game. I enjoyed the sounds. The enemy was cute. I wanted to be able to stop the boulders by throwing the sheep. There didn't seem to be anyway to stop the boulders, so you basically autolose. Also, if you leave the screen you can't get back on.

This is fine by Antt5053 2018-12-03T17:21:10Z

Was seeing if I could save everything, seems I probably can't. Overall the game made me laugh. Would have been nice to have some more gameplay, maybe actually bring the items outside to save them. Also, didn't really feel like sacrifices, especially when I saw what I didn't save. Sound effects and music would have been nice.

Slash Rush by Delhaize 2018-12-06T14:15:22Z

Made it to 90% complete. There were a few levels where I should have sacrificed a few more shurikens. I played the game too conservatively, causing me not to win. The game actually played pretty well on the computer. The music was nice. The strategy was good. The difficulty of the level progression was not the best but it was a really well done game.

Slash Rush by Delhaize 2018-12-06T15:06:20Z

I played again and got 100%.

Slash Rush by Delhaize 2018-12-09T02:01:53Z

@Delhaize Tell me the time and place, I'll see what I can do. This surprisingly worked really well with just clicking with my mouse, wondering how it would play on Mobile, didn't try.

A dangerous situation not to wear shoes in by wie_ 2018-12-03T15:29:03Z

@wie itch.io is pretty easy and a great site.

Billy's West Quest by Lenny Sirivong 2018-12-03T17:08:45Z

The sacrifice seemed over the top, getting the mace seemed like it was 90% of my health. The range on the tongue is also pretty short, but I guess that is on purpose to force the sacrifice. I loved the artwork and the tongue action, it was impressive what you put together with such simple forms. A little banjo music seems like it would have worked with the frog motif. I also seemed to die really easily. Seems there needs to be some balancing, but I liked the fact I was saving tadpoles. Overall it was a nice experience.

Bubble Trouble by dzuvan 2018-12-04T17:53:00Z

I feel the theme was in story alone and in the game I didn't really feel like I was sacrificing anyone. The bubbles pop quite quickly. I enjoyed the jumping sound. There were some situations where I couldn't jump, it seemed mainly I had to stop moving to jump. Also, when I do new game it doesn't bring me back to the beginning. The graphics were charming enough and there was a nice pop for the bubbles.

How to feed your dragon by Evgeniya Zapolnova 2018-12-05T14:55:33Z

I liked that you had a tutorial video because it was not clear to me just from the game UI. It made sense after a bit but the tutorial helped a lot. I also liked that I could mute sounds, they were nice in the beginning but became too much for me. The fact that as long as you keep enough cannonballs around keeps you from losing means you can play the game forever, which I am not sure if that is good or bad. Seems like this would play well on a phone, dragging and dropping with a mouse can be tedious and despite there being no consequences, it still felt bad watching items go by.

Total Party Kill by adventureislands 2018-12-06T21:02:22Z

@naytron I also got a Lost Vikings vibe and I loved that game as a kid. The artwork was great. I got stuck on puzzle five but it looks like I'll be able to go back and try and not have to redo every level. Really well done and good ability choices. Puzzle games hinge on the mechanics and it was fun figuring out that I could use the knight to hit the archer on to the button.

No time for everything by BenitezDev 2018-12-04T17:08:02Z

Would have loved some story, a few sound effects, an end screen. I did like that you could pickup the items and what each thing represented. I would have not known that was partying if it was not told to me. If you did all the art including the teddy bear and things, then it was quite good.

Battle of the Occultists by SlizzBen 2018-12-19T19:24:34Z

For some reason there were situations where I could not drag and drop, besides that which seemed like a bug unless it was on purpose to prevent different combinations or minions needed a certain attack or health to use something, the game played really well and I made it through all the enemies. I was expecting it to get super hard but once you knew you needed meat to create minions what to purchase became more obvious and therefore health seemed better than attack. I still had a lot of fun. I wanted a meat dragon or demon or some omnipowerful card the opponent plays and makes me go, well I don't know what to do. Poison seemed really strong.

Battle of the Occultists by SlizzBen 2018-12-19T19:40:36Z

Got another bug, on a replay everyone became invulnerable and no damage was dealt.

Welcome to the North Pole! by fre 2018-12-05T17:12:23Z

Loved the music and the splitting mechanic was fun. I personally didn't feel the sacrifice because I felt I was all one snow character, so even when I split I still felt as one. Others can and probably will argue otherwise. Either way I had fun rolling around and the music was very mellow. It was great making it to the North Pole. An awesome Christmas game in time for the holidays.

Battling Madness by Sykoo 2018-12-03T21:18:24Z

@backurio that is the issue with having click and arrow key controls in the browser, you can get some weird interactions. Main reason I try to avoid mouse controls in my games.

Battling Madness by Sykoo 2018-12-03T22:00:46Z

I personally am finding the game pretty difficult but it is fun. I feel enemies should not spawn when you are deciding on your upgrade. I feel the theme was only loosely represented. The game looks great and I enjoy the sound effects. Some music would have been nice. I did enjoy the story also and the intro.

Date With A Devil by ILD Games LLC 2018-12-04T17:34:16Z

The character select screen was very confusing using keyboard, I know it would have been much more intuitive on gamepad. I think I selected 2 playing characters and got stuck at the leylines because my player 2 was not receiving the wasd input. I was excited to see how it was all going to turn out. Man the game needed some audio. Overall it was pretty awesome, though.

Date With A Devil by ILD Games LLC 2018-12-04T17:44:09Z

Yeah, game seems to break at Leylines for me, not sure if others see the same thing.

LD44 — Your life is currency

Card Boxer by recursor 2019-04-30T20:58:41Z

I enjoyed the variety in characters. The game didn't seem to reset after I lost, which would have been very nice, was a little annoying to have to keep restarting the web browser, also being able to skip the intro would have been nice.

Death Alley by DuzzOnDrums 2019-05-07T20:52:54Z

I could not really figure out how to play this but it looked great and the expressions were humorous. Good job.

Malroot Gentleman by josehzz 2019-04-30T15:01:16Z

The game needed music, sound effects, and indication I was hitting the plants. I was not sure what the icons in the top left corner represented. Despite these things, though, I had a lot of fun and ultimately killed 60 plants. Good job.

Highway To Hell by Dev_For_Pizza 2019-05-09T13:38:36Z

I had no idea the health of the enemies. I got the bug mentioned above where you get a copy of the character and at that point it seemed like the enemy was not going to die or as stated earlier I did not know what their health was. I also got visual bugs where words overlapped, so I had little idea what cards did. I enjoyed the artwork and the visual cues, but maybe make it even more obvious. If you don't want to use health, have an enemy lose a limb when low on health or the screen shakes or changes color. Something to indicate to the player that they are close to killing them.

Oscilloscope by Shard 2019-04-29T18:35:58Z

This was very interesting. Took a little bit to figure out how to play but had nice puzzles. I enjoyed seeing everything just move once you pressed play, there was beauty to it. Math is beautiful.

Luci's Little Trinkets by Xarras 2019-05-01T16:18:54Z

This reminds me of the Rick and Morty episode, really wanted the option to go to Grandpa Rick's store instead haha. Looked like a website, had a great aesthetic and the items were humorous.

Tensilver [HTML] by seizethedia 2019-05-06T16:39:58Z

I think the game could have been done completely with the left mouse and would have been nice if I placed all the coins and didn't have to click multiple times. Besides the interface being a little unruly, the artwork is great, the customers are funny and the sounds are also good.

This is your life now by reuno 2019-05-10T13:05:02Z

I played through a couple times and each life seemed so sad. Hopefully there is one life that is happy. Loved the artwork and music. It was simple but impactful.

BulletHearts by beta 2019-05-08T13:39:43Z

I enjoyed the concept, I think some tweaking of the challenge balance would help. I ended up having to mute the music cause it ended up being too much but it was nice that that was an option. Like the Japanese aesthetic and it works for the game.

Dr. Ectomy by BoxedMeatRevolution 2019-05-07T16:28:45Z

This game has an insane amount of levels. Love the art and the puzzles were great. All I wanted was some music and sound effects to bring it on home, but great entry.

Salvage by A-Flat Miner Studios 2019-05-21T13:56:21Z

In the end it seemed like you didn't need any upgrades or maybe the game saves the upgrades from a previous play, I'm not sure, but the last play I beat it without buying any upgrades. I loved the music and artwork. Some sound effects would have definitely helped the overall mood. Still, good job.

Bet Your Life by mrnyarlathotep 2019-04-29T15:02:21Z

The game gets a little tedious. Having the devil actually talk with vocals and have varying dialogue would have made it more engaging. I liked the artwork and the music was good.

Meds of Honor by anidealgift 2019-05-14T16:05:22Z

Hitting the button was hard and I had situations where health packs just went through the ground. I liked the feel and look of the world and killing the enemies was satisfying.

Tiny Mage by Random Wizard 2019-05-08T15:34:05Z

I like that the dungeons are procedurally generated. I think the enemies probably should only spawn when you enter a room or something, because it appears something about the generation was slowing down the game. I enjoyed the artwork. Is there an overall goal or just survival/high score?

Ransom by CaramelCode 2019-05-20T18:21:33Z

Love all the artwork and different endings. Initially took me a little while to figure out the puzzle to get the bow but I eventually figured it out. I first thought I was supposed to line the sliders up. I didn't see a health bar for the knight, that was really the only issue I noticed. Great job.

The Reaper by fixedgerald 2019-05-08T15:49:13Z

I enjoyed the simplistic graphics and liked how death was animated. The music and sounds were quite nice. Overall a simple game but it was fun.

Does Money Grow on Trees by Antti Haavikko 2019-04-30T18:27:11Z

Loved the fact the color faded when I spent blood. All the emails and information on the computer added some realism. The emails made me chuckle. While the gameplay was repetitive I really wanted to be able to pay my rent and I finally got there. Good job.

Wall Street Bump by martiangames 2019-05-10T19:17:49Z

I loved the mumblings the character says. The controls were a little difficult for me and seemed like it made more sense to not even try to use the charge attack. Still I liked the concept and the character art.

Demon of Doom by JPiolho 2019-05-08T19:04:41Z

I enjoyed the artwork, wish I could move with w,a,s,d, mouse and arrows is awkward. Would have loved some sounds.

Mahouflask by appix 2019-05-08T16:43:40Z

Initially I didn't see the letters to cast the spells but I figured it out. I assume that specific spells were better against the weak element, but I am not sure. I liked the artwork and it played well enough.

Knock Knock... The travelling soulsman by Angry Squirrels 2019-05-02T21:13:04Z

Very good entry. My initial playthrough I got a bug where it split the screen in half so everything was getting cut off so it was hard to play. I also got the blue screen issue that the user above showed. The game was unforgiving, you couldn't even get one wrong to win and am still working to win, but the interactions are funny, the artwork is great, and enjoyed the music.

Risky Life by neowhoru 2019-05-21T13:26:10Z

I really liked the artwork. I agree with most people's comments, there needed to be more enemy variety in order to make the levels more interesting. I also was getting some weird clipping on the audio, but might have been my headset. I liked that the last level could be done with no powerups. I chose nothing and was going to feel really bad if I had to turn back after going really far in the level. Good base and the game looks nice.

Zombie Survival by OlavDeng2 2019-05-09T20:12:54Z

I pressed W,A,S, and D and I guess I was moving but it was not noticeable and I am still not sure I was, since when the zombies were coming seemed like I was always in the same place. The gun sounds were quite good. It is a good start.

BloodKeep by Mads 2019-04-30T13:32:50Z

Love the mood and gameplay. This was a lot of fun. Since it seems like the map is randomly generated some times it is really easy and other times there are so many cops it is quite difficult. Still was quite enjoyable.

That Time When I was Reincarnated as a Coin by randomphantom 2019-05-08T20:15:05Z

Loved the look of the coin. The controls ended up being frustrating, resulting in me not wanting to continue. Would have been interesting if there was just a roll mode and a jump mode for flipping the coin. Still loved that the face of the coin changed.

Life Loan by Jadw1 2019-05-09T17:22:03Z

I liked the idea and overall it played pretty well. I guess my goal was to get to 100 health, a tutorial would have been nice and a bigger map would also have been nice. The Inventory got in the way sometimes and would have been nice if I could minimize it.

LIFEBLASTER by gwinnell 2019-05-01T14:21:47Z

The zombies were cute and the game fit the theme and played well. It was nice balancing between shooting and picking up the bullets.

SACRIFIGHTS by Lumpy 2019-05-10T14:53:08Z

Beautiful artwork, hilarious enemies, great music. For me the game was too easy and the enemies were not varied enough in attacks but the story and artwork drew me in and kept me playing.

Ollo's Life by Memel06 2019-04-30T14:04:12Z

Loved the puzzles. I initially tried making all the rocks the same color, then it dawned on me that it was RGB. Loved the graphics and the music, really felt like a Gameboy game.

The Gold Digger by Jiri Hysek 2019-04-29T16:33:07Z

I think some of the platforms could have been a little larger that you were jumping on, added a precision element to a puzzle game which just gets annoying. The artwork and audio was superb. The puzzles were also great. I thought the solution of the last puzzle was jumping out of the world, thought it was a trick, but I finally solved it. Overall good job.

Reaper's Keeper by chelC 2019-05-08T14:43:46Z

Love the art, great number of characters, also good music. The game really ramps up a lot once you have three items.

In Exchange For My life by Fahim Faysal 2019-05-21T18:02:03Z

The game ends a little abruptly and was not really sure if I was charging the melee attack, so an indicator for that would have been great. The game desperately needed some music and sound effects to make it feel more alive. I liked the artwork and animations. The main character was fun and I liked the demons also.

One More Drop by ZAX 2019-04-29T16:47:30Z

Loved the monsters. The blood replenishes so quickly there really felt like there was no challenge, which detracted from the fun. I enjoyed the story and the wise man swimming in souls made me laugh.

Piggy the Bank by Kusaihana 2019-04-29T23:01:16Z

So, is this an endless runner? Just see how high my score can go? I liked the music and the pig design and noises. Being able to drop coins was also a nice touch.

Haemogoblin by Dorkulon 2019-05-10T13:43:01Z

Loved the artwork and music. I finally figured out that the spikes were filling the blood so I wasn't using my own health for the potions. At first the game was difficult but after a couple of times it is very easy to win after just the first wave, which takes away the replayability. Still, amazing use of the theme and loved the eyes when you see you don't have enough funds.

Beyond the Slot by Beebo Studios 2019-05-06T18:17:28Z

This game made me laugh with all the puns. Besides the punching being hard to know if it registered a hit on the enemy, everything was great. While the donut was dead I guess I got to eat it? The enemy design was really good and the visuals and music were superb. Really great entry.

Life is Money by Mykola 2019-05-09T20:23:26Z

I think trying to catch the money was too difficult, also when I tried to transfer money it deposited everything, instantly killing me, despite having seven dollars and a balance of -5. I liked the artwork and the sounds but the game has a lot of buttons and is a little confusing. I think it would be benefit greatly from a little simplification.

The Soul Machine by Ian M 2019-05-21T16:40:50Z

The game got redundant and you can just spam roll and attack and pretty much not get killed. I then found a bug where if I roll through the door I get stuck. Loved the artwork and music, but the game needed some varied gameplay/more intelligent enemies, a lot of times they got stuck.

Don't Die, Eat Your Veggies by GhostGoatsGames 2019-05-09T15:49:46Z

If the controls were better I would have played this a few more times but picking up and dropping got frustrating, plus selecting the square I wanted also was a pain. I loved the concept and idea, just needed some work on the execution. Catchy music and I liked the artwork.

Hell's Pinball by Valden 2019-05-06T20:11:01Z

Had a lot of fun playing, I did get the ball stuck one time. Also, it seemed better to not really to try for the store, since it was sort of difficult to navigate, maybe don't give a yes or no option.

PANDEMONIUM: A Card Game by Borys 2019-04-29T15:17:43Z

Great graphics and music. The random nature of the game and it seemed I started with less cards made it quite difficult to win. There was some strategy, but didn't seem to be enough for my taste. Still it visually was great and had a great horror vibe.

Gold Digger 2084 by Tony Redmer 2019-05-03T16:33:53Z

The game was tough and a great bullet hell experience. I had a lot of fun playing and will keep trying to get to a later wave.

FEED ME ESSENCE by dinosire 2019-04-29T12:52:47Z

The ghosts were pretty easy to avoid. The overall concept was simple but fun. Some audio would have gone a long way to improving the game. The art was simple but worked for the world aesthetic.

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-04-29T14:02:08Z

@aplite I did toy with the idea of having move in one direction till you say stop, not sure if it would have played better or not, I also liked the marching/commander feel of saying commands. The best course of action is to say defend and let the slugs push you around. Thanks for playing.

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-04-29T15:33:45Z

@aaron96 Yes, will have to check this when I get home. I had no issues. Might need to check this.

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-04-29T16:35:10Z

@Lubaka Thanks for playing, might be a training on the recognition, so the more times you play the better it is. I tested it with just my computer mic and overall it responded pretty well. Voice recognition isn't the best and definitely was a risk choosing that as the controls. It was cool tech to work with, though. Thanks for playing and happy you could actually play. What was your best score?

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-04-29T18:38:49Z

@saering The voice commands actually were pretty easy to implement but a lot of time was making sure it was working properly. So yeah a lot time was spent playtesting and the fact I am not an artist makes it tough for the game to look super polished.

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-04-29T23:47:05Z

@syrapt0r I wanted to share my recording of me playing it, but having some trouble getting it to upload.

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-04-30T15:34:58Z

@somefarang That seems to be the consensus and I had that idea but didn't decide to test it.

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-04-30T19:19:25Z

@retti01 Thanks for playing, yeah might be something interesting to incorporate into a different type of game and not have it be the whole control system. Fire seemed to work pretty well, so could have gone with standard controls to move up and down and just had fire be voice controlled, it also is a good solution to an ammo system.

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-04-30T20:38:18Z

@davidus Sadly I cannot make a web version, given that this uses windows speech for the speech recognition it cannot be played in the browser. Maybe there is a free asset on the unity store I could have used instead. Thanks for trying to play, at what point did the game not work for you?

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-04-30T22:03:04Z

@davidus You have to say forward

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-04-30T22:28:18Z

@nayaki-anandan Thanks for playing, I'll have to watch the video.

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-04-30T23:20:59Z

@jkazuk Thanks, yeah I should have tried that.

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-05-01T22:56:36Z

@xarras Yeah, definitely could have been some better balancing, defending and shooting helps. You have to anticipate a lot. Thanks for playing. Still working to upload some gameplay footage.

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-05-02T12:52:24Z

@vimlark Thanks for the comments. It seems the consensus is to have the player move more, the best probably would be to have a stop command. Yeah, I also got a suggestion of North, South, East, and West, which might work.

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-05-02T14:51:53Z

@langotriel Sounds about right, hope you didn't get too frustrated.

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-05-02T15:24:17Z

@mika-la-grand Do you have multiple mics on your machine, you need to make sure you choose the correct default mic. I know it might be a pain.

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-05-03T15:16:15Z

@geist-191 and @dr4g0nsoul It was great watching you play the game on stream, I was happy you were able to get past the start screen and play.

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-05-03T19:03:56Z

@simon-rahnasto I was also pleasantly surprised how well the controls worked for you and you were able to collect a few bounties. Thanks for playing.

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-05-04T10:15:52Z

@hpmnk Thanks for playing, did you stream it? Would love to watch the playthrough. It has been a joy watching streamers play this entry. Yeah, it might be too stressful, really needed to make the character faster.

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-05-07T01:10:59Z

@popdaddygames Thanks for playing, I liked the end result and completed most of what I set out to do.

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-05-07T19:34:27Z

@kuro Thanks, that was my goal for this Ludum Dare, initially wanted to have an AI you would argue with but ended up implementing a top down shooter instead, making sure the voice controls worked was important, luckily there were not too many difficulties and appears most people ended up being able to play the game.

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-05-07T20:05:54Z

@andidebob Thanks for playing. Happy it was at least fun. I understand that it can be frustrating. When you are the developer you know the cheats, such as shielding and shooting at the same time. Also, the game was quite responsive to my voice and I know it cannot be said to be the same for everyone. I am happy I made your day a little better.

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-05-08T01:41:49Z

@muchoswaffles Thanks a lot for playing. Yeah the voice commands worked really well for me and was surprised how well it worked for most streamers. Seems I made the game a little too tough.

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-05-09T12:54:16Z

@whynotyt I am happy you enjoyed playing it. I had fun making it and was nice to learn something new.

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-05-09T18:32:24Z

@olavdeng2 Was it cause it wasn't very responsive or just didn't like repeating words?

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-05-09T19:25:50Z

@olavdeng2 Thanks for the feedback

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-05-10T18:07:51Z

@franciszek-pyrc Thanks for playing. I feel it added an additional immersive element.

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-05-11T14:11:24Z

@dorkulon That would have been a good idea, I know a lot of people forgot the commands. Thanks for playing.

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-05-14T21:05:57Z

@mrjoshuamclean Thanks for playing and it was a joy watching you stream the game.

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-05-17T19:13:15Z

@peterfonts Thanks for playing, yeah it has a frantic feel but not for all the right reasons.

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-05-21T18:52:39Z

@corny Did it not start? I have steps for setting your default mic.

The Bounty Hunter by dk5000p 2019-05-21T19:49:08Z

@corny Well, thanks for trying.

Battery Life by Attala 2019-05-03T15:50:20Z

I thought level 2 was the hardest. The later levels seemed to have more than enough energy to complete them. The game fit the theme very well and I enjoyed the energy mechanic.

Darkling by jordantanner 2019-05-03T20:51:51Z

How many waves are there? I personally thought the game was way too easy. As long as you keep moving and hold down fire you pretty much can't die. Still, the art was great and definitely invoked a Doom vibe.

Choice Master by big-cow 2019-05-10T15:22:50Z

I got the same bug as velvetlobster where selecting no kids causes the game not to proceed. I enjoyed the simplicity. I would have liked more final outcomes, but I guess it is the journey. Good music and good art.

Big Facinating Mutants by hexkritor 2019-05-03T16:37:04Z

I found the game fun but quite tough. Was tough to determine which powerup was the right one to buy. Nice graphics and I liked that there were multiple guns to use.

Spend Your Life by diesdas 2019-04-30T15:31:58Z

Loved the mellow music. I could only get two outcomes and they both seemed terrible. Maybe I should leave more spots blank. Was tough to figure out what made you healthy, since it always said I should be living a healthier life. Still, nice idea.

Arrow of Light by sylvie 2019-05-07T14:08:59Z

Loved the music and shooting arrows was satisfying, so was finding all the secret rooms. The fact the initials enemies deal 5 damage and then 10 at the end is a large amount of damage, even with 90 health I can only get hit 9 times. It is a very difficult game but enjoyable.

Coin Puzzles by Mika la Grand 2019-04-29T17:26:20Z

I liked the concept and the visuals, but there were some difficulties with the implementation. I think focusing on jumping and avoiding picking up coins would have been more interesting. Having to get all the coins in order to push buttons was very difficult to get to happen and ultimately made the game less fun.

Money is Life by lilou_cormic 2019-04-30T13:01:38Z

I sort of wanted a tutorial, but I guess since it was similar to tetris/a math 3 you decided it wasn't needed or timing got the best of you. It was fun, I enjoyed the music Joshua made for you. Rotating the entire board was a cool thing and buying bombs definitely helped with those situations in tetris where you feel you are stuck. An innovative take on an old classic.

A.N.D.Y.R.U.S.exe by Dock Frankenstein 2019-05-07T19:30:08Z

Really enjoyed the atmosphere and I get a War Games/Skynet vibe. Playing again gets tedious, would be nice if there was a save state. I liked the use of math problems and order of operations.

A.N.D.Y.R.U.S.exe by Dock Frankenstein 2019-05-07T20:07:02Z

Currently could not determine how to get the fourth ending.

A.N.D.Y.R.U.S.exe by Dock Frankenstein 2019-05-11T19:50:00Z

@franciszek-pyrc Yeah, just couldn't get day 7.

They ran out of mana by Sergi Montaner 2019-04-30T00:22:42Z

I liked the variety of cards. I think it would have been harder and more interesting if I could not see my opponent's hand or if he played his cards randomly. Also, some sound effects would have made this, so much better.

Miserable Game by WTMK_BK 2019-05-01T15:43:13Z

I really wanted a kaching sound effect. I enjoyed the fact that love was an option. The money accumulating and shaking the whole screen also was nice. Overall, though, the game seemed to be missing some elements, either more things to buy, an end goal besides just quitting, sound effects etc. It is a good start.

Prospector Stanley by kypello 2019-04-29T18:45:08Z

Loved the voice acting. It was a clicker but looked quite nice, which is important. I enjoyed the fact the sprite changed. Very nice touches.

Hoppy Daze by izi 2019-05-08T15:02:46Z

There is no win condition it seems. I like the bunny. The music needs to loop, not sure if it is easy in Godot to do that, I know in Unity there is just a checkbox to loop it. You have the basics of the platformer down, some of the jumping was a little weird cause you had to use the clinging to the platform to make the jumps. This can pretty much go anywhere and good job learning a new engine.

Click Heartbeat by Hangacs 2019-05-14T13:27:01Z

I just randomly placed the nodes and let the machine go but it was fun to later trace back how the numbers were working. It took me a little amount of time to figure out I was supposed to click the numbers on my keyboard. I was originally trying to click the cards.

Rollin' Bonez by J. H. Freedman 2019-05-06T17:41:17Z

I concur with Archimagus, if this was an actual casino there is no reason to play this game, this game is basically the equivalent of betting on red and black in roulette. The game needs payouts and ways to amass more bones. Still, great art and music. Plus funny sayings from the dealer.

BOSS FIGHT! ultimate saturday night billionaire skirmish by Orrchy 2019-04-29T23:27:47Z

I like the artwork and jolly music. Didn't really see anything specific about special attack 1. I think this could be fun with 2 players, sadly I only played by myself. The sliding was a little weird.

UnderBreak by MlleAB 2019-05-09T19:40:04Z

Amazing artwork. Was interesting choosing different abilities. Great music. Also, good atmosphere. It was a very good game, maybe some variety in the enemies attacks.

A Miner's Life by oddarock 2019-05-06T17:57:35Z

The second level actually seemed easier than the intro, since there were gems pretty much everywhere. I liked the artwork and music. Climbing walls was cool but some of the jumps were tough and you lost a lot of life on spikes. Still, overall I had fun.

SoulHunt by Wolf Flare 2019-05-01T17:08:33Z

Beautiful artwork but it seems after I kill the rock guy there is nothing left to do. Also, there was nice intro music but seemed to be no sounds in the game. Seems like the beginning of a game.

Suicide Slime Arena by Abitscared 2019-05-08T14:03:10Z

Trying to punch seems to just result in death. It is difficult to even have enough lives to buy a sword, I would have either had you start with a sword or make it cheaper. I like the artwork and the overall gameplay is good. I am missing sounds and a killer rock soundtrack in the background.

Suicide Slime Arena by Abitscared 2019-05-08T14:13:08Z

Okay sword is way too strong, unless new enemies get introduced after buying the sword the game becomes easy.

Worth a Coin by Evolus 2019-04-30T20:06:26Z

I could only get the moohehe guy ending and nice coin. Seemed sort of random what ending you would get, I guess if you landed down the sewer you got the nice coin ending. The controls were good and it was a fun game. I loved the intro story and was expecting the game to be closer to that, so was surprised when the game started, but I still had fun.

Life Path by kristinnes 2019-04-30T18:56:38Z

I played through multiple times to see the different endings and story options. I liked that there was a good bit of variety. It didn't seem to matter too much, which things you chose/meaning work, fun, or family, could get money still if you didn't choose work, etc. I liked the guitar music. It was a nice chill game, with funny writing.

Souls by Dezarius 2019-05-01T19:58:30Z

It didn't seem like my bullets were actually hitting the enemy. Also, having to give up like 3 lives to get a powerup is a lot. It is a good concept just needs a little more execution.

Necro-Mart by Lemur 2019-04-29T20:47:05Z

Yeah, seemed I got impossible shopping lists, I guess if I shot the items I could get it replaced with something I needed. I liked the artwork, sounds, and music. The gameplay is fine.

Horde Defence by Lemon 2019-05-10T17:04:56Z

The fact you can't do anything at the beginning of the game except watch your base get demolished is a little disappointing. I also initially thought I was supposed to click on the icons and was going to be building/placing things like most tower defense games. I figured out that you needed to select the upgrade button. It was fun trying to determine the best way to optimize.

Ballsy Escape by GeneralAnimal 2019-05-02T13:13:44Z

I wanted to be able to push the boxes around but besides that I liked the music and the sounds. The puzzles were good, but like a few people have stated, the fact that just buying boxes and jumping on them could be used to solve most of the puzzles took away some of the clever design you took the time to do. I didn't hate having to use the shop like others have stated but it would have made the game simpler to eliminate it. I usually see shops as buying powerups and permanent things and while items might persist through levels, it didn't seem like there was a need for that. Still, overall good job.

Sam The Slime Slayer by Adrieldf 2019-05-10T16:43:11Z

I enjoyed the artwork, the music was very epic and good sword swing sound. I didn't really know if I was hurting the enemies and at what point the enemies hurt me. Feedback is very important. Also, there wasn't any variety in gameplay to keep me engaged, but with a few more enemies and maybe seeing what my stats are for speed and attack, it will feel a lot better.

Rogue Money by ayama 2019-05-09T21:02:08Z

Loved the frog coin purse. I liked that the enemies had different artwork but they didn't really have different behavior, which was too bad. I still had a lot of fun. Another issue I had was after I collected all the coins and completed the level it took some time for the next level to start.

Bioenfluencer by caevv 2019-05-08T14:35:52Z

The game eventually gets redundant and seems to not really progress. I love the concept, artwork, and story. There just needed to be more to do, but you accomplished a lot in a short time.

Tooth, Claw & Teacup by HenanBoy 2019-05-06T16:00:46Z

Loved the art but was not really sure when I was getting hurt. The game over sound was also quite nice. The game got pretty redundant and a variety of enemies would have been fun.

Time Hero by altazar 2019-05-15T14:25:49Z

I think the balance needs some tweaking, maybe just cost health from attacking and getting hit. The artwork is nice and I like the story and the changing age and graphics was great.

SURVIVE tonight by YaHUB 2019-05-09T14:49:41Z

I liked that there were multiple enemy types and different weapons. I also enjoyed the artwork. The part that annoyed me the most was arbitrary borders in the world, so I didn't exactly know the level bounds. Besides that I had a pretty good time playing this.

utsvulten by ditto 2019-04-29T14:10:21Z

I will call this an experience and not a game. There did not seem to be a way to win or lose. The artwork and sounds were great and it gave a very interesting mood, at first it was tranquil and then went dark but with a happy vibe. Overall weird and different, which is what I love about Ludum Dare.

Stick Dungeon by EnovyT 2019-05-04T18:40:11Z

The fact there was an increase all seemed weird. I would have loved some animation for the stick figures. The hitbox on the magic seemed a little random. Sometimes it seemed way larger and other times smaller.

Life is Cheap by rmleverton 2019-05-09T14:27:10Z

I just kept amassing more and more soldiers and it seemed no enemies were coming. Once everything starts going it seems impossible to lose but that is just a matter of balancing some numbers. Overall it worked well, just needed a little more strategy in the game to make it more engaging. Congrats on your first entry.

LD45 — Start with nothing

Falling Spaceman by SkullPixel 2019-10-29T07:40:45Z

I enjoyed the art and music. Was having trouble figuring out how to jump on the aliens. Might have been more interesting as sort of a bullet hell where you would be timing the blocks for defense and your score would go up based on amount of time spent alive.

I Forgot My Sword! by Yngvarr 2019-10-11T06:45:08Z

Really enjoyed the puzzles and figuring out how to herd the minotaurs. I had fun playing and completed the 3 mazes.

Seven Dwarves Brawl by pfeyffer 2019-10-07T01:48:38Z

I agree with everyone about showing the number of cards left in the deck. It also seemed that folding constantly was a pretty good strategy. Some sounds or music would have added another element. I did have fun flipping cards, though.

Mall-icious Intent by superjai 2019-10-09T01:26:45Z

I enjoyed the art and rolling is always fun. Some of the enemies seemed very strong and maybe a few more varied enemies would have been cool.

ARCHITECT by Lucien Catonnet 2019-10-12T03:02:26Z

I had a lot of fun playing this once I figured out that I was supposed to pickup blocks.

Necromanic by krammetje 2019-10-29T07:17:18Z

The fact we were limited to only 3 characters seemed to make any enemy with more than 3 characters impossible to defeat. I enjoyed the audio and sound effects in the audio version. The combat would have worked a lot better if it was clearer what was going on by having all the characters not on top of each other. Besides these small issues I really liked the art and gaining new units.

Jam Cultist Simulator by FiloGC 2019-10-29T06:30:08Z

I got an 8.7 game and decided to stop at that. The artwork was very nice and there was an addictive quality to beat the score. Would have loved some sound effects or music, but since it is a Compo game I can understand not having those.

The Howler by Noa Calice 2019-10-07T02:27:04Z

Another Ludum Dare experience and I am happy you labeled it as such. Since there didn't seem a way to lose, I technically cannot classify this as a game. Took me a little bit to figure out how to proceed but once I did, I enjoyed the experience screaming at everything and watching the character morph as I went. Really cool effects.

SectClicker by themarioga 2019-10-09T12:12:14Z

I enjoyed the quotes. Not really sure exactly how the money was being calculated. Cause if it was per second, it seems like it should have been going up a lot faster, even if the lawyers were taking their money every second. I was not able to buy a president.

You Gotta Be Kitten Me by Silas Reinagel 2019-10-10T15:02:50Z

The game looks beautiful, but the gameplay could use some work. As stated by some other players, the cat's acceleration is too much. I also would have liked more feedback on hitting enemies and starting from the beginning after dying was tough. Also, having to move with the moving platforms is a little tedious. I also wish I could skip the intro on restarts. The abilities were pretty cool and a good assortment of different things you could do. I also got a bug where I died in one of the moving platform rooms and the kitty respawned but the mesh didn't seem to be visible, so it was just instant death.

A Merchant's Adventure by sharbelfs 2019-10-11T04:54:29Z

Didn't really know what determined when the price of supplies would go up and having no control over the options besides travelling to a different city was not the best. I did like the cards.

White Starts With Nothing by Baturinsky 2019-10-07T22:37:50Z

Really cool take on the theme and chess. I enjoyed playing it as a person who enjoys chess.

A Game about Nothing by earnso 2019-10-11T17:36:19Z

This was a clever use of the theme. I enjoyed the small games I got to play.

Witches Beware by Mads 2019-10-09T13:25:37Z

This game got really dark really fast. I loved the music and atmosphere. The artwork also was cohesive and made he world feel alive.

ØJE by Gaming Night 2019-10-09T17:13:25Z

The platforming got frustrating but I liked the character and environment.

Start with "nothing" by sommerlilie 2019-10-09T01:05:14Z

I couldn't find any combinations to move forward but I really liked the artwork. I figured out how to proceed but not sure if I made it to the end.

Punch Punch Farm! by Andreadbx 2019-10-07T14:39:52Z

I ended up getting the house but it seems I can continue exploring the world, I would have enjoyed a victory scene. I really liked the artwork and all the sounds the animals make and the things you punch. Was weird punching giant bananas and killing sheep. Seems like this would work really well as VR.

Punch Punch Farm! by Andreadbx 2019-10-07T14:45:34Z

@memel06 I tried punching the bed and the Unity sign, fireplace, etc. Didn't seem to do anything.

Punch Punch Farm! by Andreadbx 2019-10-07T15:26:11Z

@memel06 It was the web build. Maybe I'll play it again later

When Nothing Came by velvetlobster 2019-10-09T12:27:15Z

This was beautiful. I love the sound matching with your speed and the rewind mechanic. It fit the theme beautifully and told a great story. This was a really awersome game.

Soy Sauce Man by Memedev0 2019-10-09T23:10:35Z

It would have been nice if the bosses had a health bar. I was not sure if I was close to winning. The characters making the music was unique.

The Firebrand by selkkie 2019-10-13T02:28:57Z

Ended with the bad ending, will keep playing. It is a little annoying having to start all over from the beginning, at least you can somewhat skip the dialogue on later tries. This has amazing mood and artwork and audio.

HEARTSCAPE by ZakAmana 2019-10-14T16:00:46Z

I enjoyed playing and wanted more levels. It wasn't exactly clear what the bombs or lightning exactly do and seemed like the shields can take any amount of damage.

Appeasing the Quadopus by dk5000p 2019-10-07T00:12:59Z

@adroitconceptions Thanks for playing. Yeah I can understand it not being directly obvious how to hit the donut. Happy you made it that far and saw the whole game.

Appeasing the Quadopus by dk5000p 2019-10-07T01:54:39Z

@bobothegreat Actually I made it so you had to cheese the second boss. Didn't have time to add other options for the character.

Appeasing the Quadopus by dk5000p 2019-10-07T01:55:58Z

@bootygangdisciple Yeah, I overdid it on the bass and reverb, but since there was also text it was more to just add a menacing feel. Yeah, in the last level the bigger map does make the speed feel slow.

Appeasing the Quadopus by dk5000p 2019-10-07T03:01:08Z

@blobo Yeah, if I had a little more time I was going to have restart of the level but was going to take a little longer to program that with the end screen.

Appeasing the Quadopus by dk5000p 2019-10-07T03:03:45Z

@musicblox Yeah, seems I have received a few people having trouble understanding Donut. Yeah the controls might have had some issues, but happy you found it fun.

Appeasing the Quadopus by dk5000p 2019-10-07T03:08:32Z

@theseusinabottle Yeah the voice acting was more to make it sound menacing, tough to do a deep voice distortion without losing some of the audio. Happy I got you to a giggle. I loved the hamburger bun shield idea also.

Appeasing the Quadopus by dk5000p 2019-10-07T04:11:05Z

@brandon-js-lea Happy you had fun.

@hcursino Happy you enjoyed it, surprised you thought the coke was the hardest

Appeasing the Quadopus by dk5000p 2019-10-07T17:55:37Z

@reasonable-games He should have an idle animation where he moves his arms up and down. Yeah a jump animation would have been nice

Appeasing the Quadopus by dk5000p 2019-10-08T01:22:13Z

@purpledartfrog Happy you enjoyed

Appeasing the Quadopus by dk5000p 2019-10-08T02:25:13Z

@ropedog Yeah, music is hard. I didn't want to do just have ambient music, though. Thanks for playing.

Appeasing the Quadopus by dk5000p 2019-10-08T05:40:46Z

@Brallex Thanks for playing. Yeah, spent a little too much time trying to get three interesting enemies and failed to have the platforming be great.

Appeasing the Quadopus by dk5000p 2019-10-08T18:16:12Z

@rainetheglutton Yeah, I over distorted my voice, it was more to just sound scary, since the words were onscreen. Thanks for playing.

Appeasing the Quadopus by dk5000p 2019-10-09T20:51:03Z

@hare-software I did have fun making the game. Wanted each enemy to feel different and hope they did. Thanks for playing.

Appeasing the Quadopus by dk5000p 2019-10-10T00:01:09Z

@velvetlobster Yeah the platforming ended up being very poor. I am happy you like the art.

@shrapx Thanks for playing, I'll watch the video

@swordishmage Thanks for playing, happy you found it funny.

Appeasing the Quadopus by dk5000p 2019-10-11T16:28:38Z

@p-r Yeah, focused a little too much on having a few bosses with different abilities and the platforming ended up being bad. Thanks for playing.

Appeasing the Quadopus by dk5000p 2019-10-11T20:01:17Z

@space-wumpus Thanks, I have heard a lot of people thought the cola was the hardest, definitely harder than the hamburger, meant to have the hamburger attack and defend at the same time the whole fight.

Appeasing the Quadopus by dk5000p 2019-10-16T18:43:27Z

@ogre Weird, what did you do to do that?

@karanveer Thanks for playing.

Appeasing the Quadopus by dk5000p 2019-10-22T04:02:22Z

@omiya-games Thanks for the extensive review. Yeah the game was a little rushed with trying to include three enemies. Cheesing the enemies actually is kind of how I intended.

Appeasing the Quadopus by dk5000p 2019-10-23T02:10:21Z

@allbetsareoff Thanks for the review, yeah I wish the gameplay ended up being a little better.

Appeasing the Quadopus by dk5000p 2019-10-23T17:50:33Z

Appeasing the Quadopus by dk5000p 2019-10-29T07:31:11Z

@brokenmirrormedia Yeah, thanks for playing. Tough to put a game out in 48 hours and didn't have as much time as I would have liked. Spent a little too much time trying to have multiple bosses, so some of the overall gameplay suffered.

Appeasing the Quadopus by dk5000p 2019-10-29T17:09:47Z

@papaver Thanks for playing, Yeah spent too much time making multiple enemies. The continue being in different places was so you wouldn't accidentally click through everything.

Tagatorni by lilou_cormic 2019-10-07T18:02:00Z

Seems the HUD is a little messed up on the first play. Also, seems like the money persists between plays. Doesn't appear there are levels. I liked the explosions and the sounds.

Let's Run a Kingdom by SuperGamersGames 2019-10-08T15:48:49Z

I would have liked a win state. I did like the random events, it made the kingdom feel more alive.

Get Some Cake! by OwlyCode 2019-10-07T03:26:10Z

Could not create a chicken after making the flowers. Seemed that some of the combining did not work perfectly. Also, not sure if the steps would be figured out without the walkthrough. Still an interesting puzzle.

adventure again by gamefive 2019-10-10T16:55:28Z

I really like the artwork but was missing some sound. Also, the movement was a little weird, as people stated the slow acceleration played a little problematic.

Fairytiles by fre 2019-10-10T23:56:59Z

This was a lot of fun. Loved the options and humor. Currently only found 10 things.

Start it by sundhar 2019-10-10T16:07:07Z

The two ways to lose was interesting. A score and sound would have added a lot to the game.

Generic Joe by LyghtningWither 2019-10-07T13:54:34Z

I was getting a lot of bugs in the find a job level and ended up stopping there. The ladders worked pretty well but there were some issues. I did like the overall story, it was funny and the puzzles were well designed.

2D PLATFORMER EXE by GabrielGameDev 2019-10-08T04:31:06Z

I really enjoyed this, the death sound on the slimes and player death animation were great. Was cool seeing the world unfold. I opened the game a second time to see if things were implemented for the other icons on the desktop and they were, that is a level of polish that is nice in a jam game.

The Start to a New Beginning by Bobothegreat 2019-10-07T01:37:46Z

I got both endings. There could have been more branching. There didn't seem to be many outcomes that could happen.

The Glowing Adventure by Clickbait 2019-10-08T14:20:58Z

I liked the music and the art style. The spiders were quite strong. I would have enjoyed some sound effects.

Dead on the move by thetacbanana 2019-10-06T21:40:21Z

I got my score to 7500 and then there didn't seem to be any further enemies spawning. Some sound effects and music would have added a lot but I found it interesting and fun. Fighting on top of a car had interesting gameplay.

Alien Apocalypse by cmcoto 2019-10-29T06:58:31Z

I enjoyed the simple artwork and sound effects. It would have been nice if the enemies had health bars so I knew how much damage I was doing. Also was tough to determine which weapons were better, except for the rocket launcher which clearly was the strongest. I still had some fun and always nice to have a boss battle.

BoBoBot by bigwhiteshogun 2019-10-09T15:50:51Z

Awesome metroidvania, loved all the abilities I gained. Would love to see this expanded.

Fit the Sticky by Leonard Graf 2019-10-09T16:16:53Z

That was quite tough, but I finally beat it a couple times, actually first time I beat it my mass was 36.4 but it let me through. Score.PNG It was fun and hilarious watching everything get picked up. Good sound effects, also.

Spooky: The one who lost everything by Susumu Asaga 2019-10-10T19:01:00Z

The rapid fire heads were tough. Not sure if I'll make it to the end. The difficulty of the puzzle curve was a little weird and needed very precise actions. Maybe giving the player a little more forgiveness would make the game a little more fun. Loved the mechanic, story, and artwork.

Circle Raider by Owen Shriver 2019-10-29T06:48:04Z

There needs to be more direction to where the player is supposed to go. Wandered for five minutes before finding anything. Also, the game suddenly just switches to enemies shooting at you out of nowhere. While, I feel the vastness was to be more on theme, I think it was too on theme, there was so much nothing it got a little boring walking. Once the enemies showed up the game got a little more interesting. Maybe just start in the maze and get a gun quickly. I did enjoy the music.

Empty Level by shevek 2019-10-10T18:13:46Z

Some additional enemy types would have expanded on an already pretty cool game. I liked that you could place items one at a time, which allowed for you to setup the enemies to run into spinning blades.

Mr.Grind by iozsaygi 2019-10-09T14:01:58Z

I collected so much gold and ore. I wanted to see what would happen if I got down to zero hits, it didn't cause the game to play itself but I do think my money still went up. An end screen would have been nice and maybe a little more animation on the orc.

We have Nothing! by mira 2019-10-07T20:17:21Z

I felt the music got redundant but I enjoyed the puzzles, humor and it fit the theme nicely.

Untitled LD#45 game by Rinat 2019-10-10T16:47:09Z

This appears to be unfinished. I clicked and pressed multiple keys but the character did not move.

JO-KEN-DO! by Hcursino 2019-10-07T02:59:22Z

Was hard to follow what beat what and could not bring up the chart before the fight. I enjoyed the story.

Path to UwU by QuantumSno 2019-10-29T07:30:02Z

I enjoyed the animation on the character. Took me a little while to figure out I was collecting abilities. After getting everything and dying, suddenly my character flipped upside down and could jump for infinity, not sure if this was the intended effect. Still good job learning Unity and hope to see more games.

Emoji Overflow by laegoose 2019-10-07T16:23:35Z

Were the assistants random? Cause it seemed that the castle and dragon were a lot stronger, so the playthrough where I just kept getting castles was quite easy. I defeated all the emojis.

Unlock Hero by Plazmaz 2019-10-07T02:46:11Z

The jumping and controls were a little weird but this was on point for the theme and I still had fun. It was cool unlocking new things and I liked the ammo counter before ammo.

Lurking in the shadows by Shad 2019-10-08T14:51:37Z

Love the music and artwork. Is the game endless? I did enjoy that harder enemies kept showing up, but there were also patterns, so you could time your stun to get the most benefit. Well thought out.

There is more by jakiteli 2019-10-07T17:04:34Z

I really liked the duck animation. Kind of weird being a paper airplane but not being able to fly. I like gaining new abilities and how they were introduced. I agree that the last level was anticlimatic and there should be a level that uses everything.

0-GUST by Rotagg 2019-10-14T16:14:12Z

I seemed to not be able to move up.I liked the in game art and music. The controls/bugs basically make the game unplayable, though.

Seedvilization by graslany 2019-10-12T21:30:13Z

This is a very clever puzzle game. I had fun playing. It was nice figuring out how to build the structures.

Start with WHITE by IanTyf 2019-10-07T02:37:30Z

Overall I liked the concept. Would have been interesting to have an ongoing score and receive ranks, like color master or even receive a rank for your score each level. I didn't feel like I was accomplishing much.

Shape Invaders by GeruGames 2019-10-07T02:04:10Z

With the multishot it appears the the game lags. I liked that there were multiple enemies. Would be nice if the powerups paused the game. Not sure how this fits the theme, but the theme is very open ended.

Beat Builder by kyle3wynn 2019-10-29T06:33:12Z

Loved the music that was made. Would be cool to put together a full generator so people could use it for Ludum Dare. Nothing worse than a game with no sound or music.

Disabled Hospital by Paulsams 2019-10-12T04:34:40Z

The speed boost did not seem to work in the web build. The final boss seemed way too strong. Having a health bar for the enemies would have gone a long way. This was an interesting game.

Disabled Hospital by Paulsams 2019-10-12T20:43:50Z

@paulsams I mean pressing space did not seem to activate the jet boost.

Nothing in Room by Colsk 2019-10-09T11:46:57Z

I wanted to see what happened if I did nothing and that seemed to progress the story, but in the end I had to punch the people and that did not end well for me. Very interesting game.

LD46 — Keep it alive

Oh, the Connection! by Igor KinGamer 2020-05-08T17:54:20Z

Great concept, the difficulty jumps a lot very fast, maybe a few more levels to just get an understanding of the controls. Overall cool idea.

Birdie Burglars by DDRKirbyISQ 2020-05-08T07:56:21Z

This was hilarious. I had some trouble aiming and shooting but the few times I did stop the burglars it was satisfying. Overall great job.

Olympus Rise - Greek it alive by RAC-Games 2020-04-30T20:55:31Z

Loved the art and audio. The jumping could have been a little better, but overall great game.

Mother Hen by beepyeah 2020-04-30T00:57:13Z

I beat the game, yay. The last level was a good amount of difficulty. I enjoyed the animation and sounds. Also, very on theme. Well done.

Trail Blazer by Teo Yong Jie 2020-05-09T14:32:58Z

Was hard to judge which jumps I could actually make or not. Loved the little flame character.

Feed Charles by mmmcgill1232 2020-05-08T04:39:32Z

Loved the artwork but the controls were a little clunky.

Protect the Egg by dk5000p 2020-04-20T13:02:46Z

@dimling Thanks for playing. Yeah the dimensions on the browser are a little off if you don't play it in full screen. I spent most of my time trying to get the game to work for online multiplayer. I got asynchronous characters but I think there was more I needed to implement.

Protect the Egg by dk5000p 2020-04-20T18:37:36Z

Haha, that is funny. Yeah not my most unique name.

Protect the Egg by dk5000p 2020-05-08T14:56:54Z

@aryanjumani Thanks for playing. Yeah, spent a lot of time trying to learn how to setup an online multiplayer game

Protect the Egg by dk5000p 2020-05-08T15:15:50Z

@aryanjumani I was testing using photon it was for another project

Protect the Egg by dk5000p 2020-05-08T16:35:01Z

@lazzydev72 Yeah, sadly I just did not have enough time but still wanted to submit something.

Protect the Egg by dk5000p 2020-05-08T19:21:36Z

@thibaud-ligneul Thanks for playing. Yeah making everything from scratch is a lot

Protect the Egg by dk5000p 2020-05-09T17:28:16Z

@blaster391 I think it was because I used rigidbodies and did not sync them correctly. All that was synching was the transforms. Good to know that you at least joined a game together.

Protect the Egg by dk5000p 2020-05-09T18:57:30Z

@cheesepencil Yeah, I kind of which I focused more on gameplay, but it was a nice thing to try to learn.

Protect the Walnut! by Eduardo Yukio 2020-05-09T14:05:10Z

The artwork reminded me of South Park. I had so much trouble getting the Walnut to launch to hit the button that I couldn't continue in the game, which is too bad.

Cleaning Chaos by Dvlv 2020-04-23T16:21:05Z

I found the game quite funny and enjoyed keeping Merlin out of trouble.

Buddy Rope by mbc 2020-04-23T15:25:59Z

It did not feel there was enough time to complete the level but I enjoyed bouncing around and navigating the level.

Hearty Dose by Fupi 2020-05-08T18:33:25Z

Was very hard to keep the heart alive but I enjoyed the overall concept.

Not Clowning Around! by Wilson Taylor 2020-04-20T01:05:23Z

I enjoyed that it had a story, but succeeding in sending the drinks was very difficult. I also felt the controls probably have worked better with just mouseclicks anywhere and not specifically in the box. There was also a lot of text to read, while also trying to serve drinks, so I kind of was removed from the game.

Batry Low by SujoyByte 2020-04-28T15:31:10Z

I liked the menu screen and the phone getting plugged in to start. The shooting was weird given that the objects had physics. I beat it by just jumping on the enemies heads and bouncing the bullets off the wall, not sure if that was the intention or not.

DI(e)NO(t) by Thibaud Ligneul 2020-05-08T16:34:07Z

Yay, my dinos survived. I really liked the cute dinos, seemed you could win by just remaining at the top of the screen, but besides that small things everything else was great.

Sorbest by robinfaury 2020-05-08T08:10:28Z

Pretty much the same thing everyone else has said, the second level was basically unplayable. I enjoyed staying alive playing and the sound effects were fun. It made me smile.

Fired Fighter by OGSuperSand 2020-05-08T07:50:29Z

It seems I could leave the bounds of the world, which might be the best way to win. I enjoyed the running animation and things caught fire fast.

TamagotchIT by spyranteros 2020-05-09T14:36:49Z

Tamagotchi IT is so cute. The game ramps up way too much once you hit 4 points, pretty much you get no time to click.

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Dynamo by BoltKey 2020-10-05T00:35:36Z

I at first thought I was supposed to block the things and then I wasn't even sure. I enjoyed the sound effects and the end state.

Escape the Loop by magnusfurcifer 2020-10-10T14:19:44Z

Some of the sliding was a little weird but I was able to collect all the keys and escape.

Bust-a-Loop by PeachTreeOath 2020-10-12T09:48:28Z

Man I wanted to play this with a controller. Getting my fingers switched on the keyboard was just a little tough to do. This was a really cool and interesting entry. I am a fighting game enthusiast and just reading the description made me want to play. Figuring out the ice spike was one of the harder moves.

Ragtime Loop by doomshmuck 2020-10-05T04:57:55Z

Was there only one level, was that the loop? I was very confused. I liked the premise of musical platformer.

Stuck in a portal by YANIV 2020-10-06T12:49:05Z

I always enjoy portal. All this was missing was sound. It was also interesting playing with more fast paced puzzles.

Race The Loops by vinzBad 2020-10-05T23:22:10Z

I enjoy the noises and getting the timing right felt nice.

Loopy Boy by rex64 2020-10-05T04:45:55Z

A tutorial would have helped. Did not know I could put multiple options on top of each other and even then some of the jumps were just annoying to make. Puzzle games should not rely on precision. The real time aspect is interesting but hurts it overall as a puzzle game.

Quivering by SandPile 2020-10-05T19:44:58Z

This game is awesome. Looks really good. The looping arrow mechanic is cool. Was a little confusing how the arrows would behave but besides that all around good game.

Cyberail by TheZingThing 2020-10-09T14:35:46Z

I advise removing the death mechanic, it just made the game frustrating to me and the core mechanic was this being a puzzle game. Sadly that detracted from an otherwise really cool game.

LD47: Stuck in a Loop by Jare 2020-10-12T08:25:36Z

The game felt a little boring, maybe it was the lack of music or any sounds. The title screen was cool and going through the tunnel was an experience.

Under The Moon by Albuquerque 2020-10-06T21:24:43Z

The art is great. I guess there is a win state but I keep losing just before making it. Shift to run doesn't seem to do anything. This really needed some eerie ominous music.

Party Pooper by Bibicio 2020-10-06T23:37:05Z

I succeeded on the first try by just running past the enemies. The story was funny and the knight totally deserved it. You don't eat all the cake.

Falling Forever by dk5000p 2020-10-05T01:46:40Z

@magnusfurcifer Yeah, was going to add multiple jumps to the dialogue, forgot. Happy you liked the tea guy. Yeah Ludum Dare had to be the same weekend as my midterms for grad school

Falling Forever by dk5000p 2020-10-05T01:47:51Z

@neonjeff Thanks for playing. Yeah I like quirky characters.

Falling Forever by dk5000p 2020-10-05T01:50:38Z

@thezingthing Thanks for playing and yes I make weird things.

Falling Forever by dk5000p 2020-10-05T04:00:35Z

@ixchow It might be because you clicked outside the browser window.

Falling Forever by dk5000p 2020-10-05T15:26:27Z

@doomshmuck The game replays at the end and indicates that you really never leave this pit. Thanks for playing.

Falling Forever by dk5000p 2020-10-05T20:34:53Z

@blobo Interesting. I struggled with a lot of things that should have been easy. Thanks for playing.

Falling Forever by dk5000p 2020-10-06T12:05:44Z

@sandpile Happy you enjoyed it. I was thinking of making it Endless but didn't really have time to mess with that code.

Falling Forever by dk5000p 2020-10-06T17:34:22Z

@arron-fowler Thanks for playing again. I was happy with the final product but also wasted so much time and wish I just started with 2D artwork could have made a more looping map and added.

Falling Forever by dk5000p 2020-10-06T18:27:23Z

Yeah I wasted about 4 hours on the first day messing with clayxels and wanted to do a cool 3D clay look but it was just lagging hard and not working. I had to scrap it and I had my Midterms due the same weekend so was lucky to get a game done.

Falling Forever by dk5000p 2020-10-06T21:34:23Z

@jegus9 Yeah I just reused some platformer code I had lying around which is just not the best and given that this isn't a precision platformer or anything I didn't feel the floatiness was the biggest issue. You do have infinite blocks it is more if you created too many blocks and boxed yourself in. Thanks for playing.

Falling Forever by dk5000p 2020-10-06T21:34:53Z

@flightless Sadly you never truly save the guy. He gets out and just ends up right back in, hence the loop.

Falling Forever by dk5000p 2020-10-06T22:17:42Z

@fupi Yeah after getting the ability to delete blocks I should have updated the code for where to place the blocks. It was mainly to prevent soft locking yourself. I enjoyed the main character and maybe I should have just had you talking back and forth with him and just cut the platforming entirely. I always wonder if people like playing purely story. Thanks for playing.

Falling Forever by dk5000p 2020-10-07T03:51:34Z

@eugenik Thanks for playing

Falling Forever by dk5000p 2020-10-07T15:44:17Z

@langotriel Thanks for playing and I am happy it was an enjoyable experience for you.

Falling Forever by dk5000p 2020-10-08T04:30:04Z

@webox Thanks for playing. Happy you got some laughs out if it.

Falling Forever by dk5000p 2020-10-08T04:31:06Z

@charlotte-raymond I also wish I could of had more characters. I wasted so much time messing with 3D and scrapping it but there never is enough time.

Falling Forever by dk5000p 2020-10-08T09:37:43Z

@unhandyred Thanks for playing and bringing my vote count to 20. I am happy you enjoyed it.

Falling Forever by dk5000p 2020-10-10T17:57:58Z

@justcamh Thanks for playing, I'll have to watch the VOD and play your game.

Falling Forever by dk5000p 2020-10-10T18:22:36Z

@justcamh The game does loop back with a little different dialogue if you play again. Hitting the theme a little more.

Falling Forever by dk5000p 2020-10-11T14:57:18Z

@neithr Thanks for playing.

Falling Forever by dk5000p 2020-10-12T22:16:00Z

@peachtreeoath Thanks for playing. Happy you thought the theme was there.

Falling Forever by dk5000p 2020-10-17T14:35:55Z

@flying-dog-fish Thanks for playing and yeah, wacky is kind of my brand.

Falling Forever by dk5000p 2020-10-18T01:05:49Z

@pee-thief Thanks for playing.

Falling Forever by dk5000p 2020-10-18T01:06:07Z

@jenny-bourke Thanks for the kind words.

Falling Forever by dk5000p 2020-10-18T10:11:24Z

@fadrikalexander Thanks for playing and yeah. I tried updating the generic out if the box from Fungus and it didn't end up the best.

Time Loop by _Kassjak_ 2020-10-09T14:08:01Z

I think what are guts could be more clear. Besides that it is a pretty cool game and it is nice to see your score at the end. I think it is missing a high score and that would have been nice.

Synthætica by ixchow 2020-10-09T16:00:53Z

Really interesting concept but it was too difficult to play. The music was nice and was fun just listening to that.

Revenge of Loopy the Turtle by Flying Dog Fish 2020-10-17T15:39:00Z

It was a very sad story but a fun and simple game. Sometimes you got lucky based on random chance and other times a giant animal just appears on the track but easy enough to just play again.

LoopChan by Kaish 2020-10-07T17:03:15Z

I loved this game. I guess we are stuck in a music loop. Loved the artwork. Initially it was hard to know the camera killed enemies. Eventually I figured out the uses for things and it was nice how you introduced one new mechanic each time.

Goop Loop by jitspoe 2020-10-27T14:12:25Z

This was really tough but I enjoyed the audio and the voice work. There was a lot of humor in this entry.

Tempus Guardian by Stefan Pijnacker GD 2020-10-06T14:40:12Z

On my second playthrough it stopped counting rooms, so that was disappointing. Loved the art and the different enemy types. The enemies could have had a little better enemy detection but overall this was a very good entry.

The Hand That Feeds by neonjeff 2020-10-09T14:49:00Z

Initially I didn't know what I was supposed to do, so I had a bad first level but I guess that makes it even more true to life. Was hard to know what gave what. Clean was obvious, feed looked more like a couch, educated made sense, love should have just been a heart. Overall I got a good laugh out of this game.

Loop City by Fupi 2020-10-06T18:25:21Z

I enjoyed the characters. Was sort of tough to know what you were supposed to do. I know you wrote out a lot of stuff on the game page but would have been nice if it was clear in the game. Fun cheery music.

Tuxedo, watch out for the rock! by Gumemura 2020-10-07T16:32:03Z

I really liked the falling main character, given that you used other people's assets I think you are supposed to opt out of graphics but I could be wrong, good job giving credit, though. The game really would have benefited from some sound. Given it is a jam game there is a lot of free sound out there to use. As indicated by other people a score would have helped and a high score. Also, in the intro cutscene you can still move and move outside the world. For a first game, though, this was really well done. Ludum Dare was also my first game and game jam.

UnderLoop by FadrikAlexander 2020-10-17T14:34:28Z

Really enjoyed this. Great art, goofy characters, and a story. I also enjoyed the sounds. Continuing this would be cool.

Coronary Shooter by analytical_spoon 2020-10-27T15:12:22Z

It didn't seem like a could really die. Sure killing the red blood cells and running into rocks set my score to zero, but that was it. I feel the sounds worked. Overall there was not much challenge to the game and I agree with others that when playing a shooter you expect to shoot almost everything, so figuring out which things were good and bad was a little bit of a learning curve, but not too bad.

Run a circle by SkelleRoznik 2020-10-05T18:17:24Z

Overall I had fun. It is a simple game with a good amount of strategy.

Arround by nonozuchu 2020-10-06T14:02:00Z

A nice start that can easily be expanded. Add aliens to jump over or an attack. Missing the high score but time always gets the best of us.

Lava Labyrinth by PeelyGames1019 2020-10-05T04:13:15Z

I made it to the end. I liked how this game made you think. Don't forget to put your name on your game in the game. Don't want people taking your work and claiming it for their own. Good job. Definitely can make many puzzles with this and since you have the basic mechanics going the sky is the limit.

Eloi's Adventure by Convg 2020-10-05T17:07:05Z

The explosions were a little large and could cause the boxes to fly everywhere but it also appeared you could abuse some of the physics and just skip the gates. I loved the art and varieties of enemies. I didn't like that the shooting enemy seemed to have no weakness. Still a good number of levels and cool game.

Happy Land 4 by Str8griz 2020-10-07T15:29:17Z

While starting over fits the theme it became a little more annoying than fun. I think you could have made a few spots where you didn't have to die or even almost cut it completely because the Candyland being Hell part just gets everything across better. It still was a nice mix of gore and joy.

The Myth of Sisyphus by Zuvr 2020-10-27T14:44:07Z

I just jumped over the rock and kept going. Then got a blue screen and the game appeared to break. The words being unreadable detracted from the game. There was story and I liked the background aesthetic.

GHOST FROM JAIL by Gilad Bar Ilan 2020-10-05T15:39:33Z

I had fun playing this. While an endless runner I guess is technically a loop it is a very loose interpretation of the theme. The teleport never seemed worth using.

In a Globe of Death by vcarlos 2020-10-05T00:24:24Z

It is a simple game and meets the theme. Definitely a cool idea rolling around in a sphere lots of things that could be added.

Unfinished by glao 2020-10-06T15:53:02Z

Should have uploaded the game as unfinished.

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Can you dig it? by Flipsy 2021-05-12T14:34:41Z

I really liked the challenge and the fact there were checkpoints. I second that the digging sound did get a little annoying, random pitch can help with that, also some background music would have been nice and since you opted out of audio there is a lot of free chiptune music that would have fit the game feel. Overall good job.

Vertigo by GaryS 2021-04-29T08:28:20Z

It would be nice if I gained something for killing the enemies. Love the sounds and artwork. With a little more fleshing out this could be a really cool game.

D. R. I. L. L. by Invixel 2021-05-06T20:41:12Z

I really liked the music and gave a sense of urgency to my drilling. Was interesting figuring out what things gave the most points. Not really sure what the circles at the end meant, I assume it was how well I did but not obvious, some explanation would have been nice.

Love's a Mystery by Bamallama 2021-04-29T21:28:14Z

Great artwork and music. The game really set a mood. The story seemed to just end, not sure if I am missing something or it was a timing thing. There were some spelling mistakes, you wanted counselor, but they weren't so bad that it detracted from the story.

THIEFEUS: Rynth, Repeat by Dorkulon 2021-04-26T19:47:33Z

I assumed you were supposed to click in the green but the shhh icon made it seem like I was supposed to quiet down. Had a lot of trouble finding any loot, was easy enough to escape without being caught but even when I died I got more points. Definitely nice atmosphere and art.

Moley Maze by tigerj 2021-05-04T19:48:59Z

Loved the artwork and music. Would have been nice to be able to get health back and also maybe a couple more enemies, but for a game made in 3 days this is very complete.

Bad Day to be a Bunny by joonamo 2021-04-26T18:01:09Z

The music is great, love the story. Not sure what the seashells did for me. The music also didn't appear to loop, besides that, quite good.

Blue Eye - Salvage & Rescue by PurpledArtFrog 2021-04-26T16:54:27Z

Really enjoy the sound effects and music. Would have been nice to have a screen showing what you are trying to pickup. It fits the theme and I had fun playing, even with such simple gameplay.

Dig It! by Rusty Bailey 2021-04-28T13:37:39Z

HighScore.PNG I had fun digging and using all the different tools. I wasn't sure what some of the powerups did but didn't seem like a reason not to pick them up. Was a lot of fun.

Trek Through Billy by dk5000p 2021-04-26T16:13:46Z

@metadept You can check some of my previous Ludum Dare entries, almost all of them have full voice acting. It is a nice way to take a break from programming. Also allows me to have sound without music. Thanks for playing.

Trek Through Billy by dk5000p 2021-04-26T16:14:19Z

@purpledartfrog I'll have to take a look. Thanks for playing.

Trek Through Billy by dk5000p 2021-04-26T18:43:18Z

@fussenkuh Yeah, I mainly worked on it on Sunday, would have been nice to have worked on it also on Saturday and added a little more story, but wanted it to at least be complete. Thanks for playing and a lot of my previous Ludum Dare entries also have complete voice acting.

Trek Through Billy by dk5000p 2021-04-26T20:24:03Z

@airwaffle Yeah, I ended up mainly working on it on Sunday, so did not have much time. I just was happy to have a complete story. Thanks for playing.

Trek Through Billy by dk5000p 2021-04-26T20:42:30Z

@kristinamay No they were not. Sometimes being kind solves problems.

Trek Through Billy by dk5000p 2021-04-27T12:02:23Z

@treslapin Thanks for playing. I also would have liked to have a little more, but mainly only did work on Sunday, so only so much time.

Trek Through Billy by dk5000p 2021-04-27T12:02:39Z

@dorkulon Happy you enjoyed it.

Trek Through Billy by dk5000p 2021-04-27T13:48:45Z

@gamefive Yeah, maybe I should have it say you win. It only has one ending, time was a big factor, it always is. Thanks for playing.

Trek Through Billy by dk5000p 2021-04-27T18:18:28Z

@noke Thanks for playing.

Trek Through Billy by dk5000p 2021-04-28T12:14:08Z

@picross Thanks for playing, happy I could make you laugh. I also would have liked to include a little more branching narrative but there is only so much time.

Trek Through Billy by dk5000p 2021-04-28T12:56:27Z

@simon-rahnasto Thanks for playing and happy I could make you laugh.

Trek Through Billy by dk5000p 2021-04-28T12:57:30Z

@langotriel Yeah, I didn't really want the monster to be evil, just misunderstood. Thanks for playing.

Trek Through Billy by dk5000p 2021-04-28T18:44:28Z

@ghostmaple Thanks for playing and I always enjoy adding voice acting to my games.

Trek Through Billy by dk5000p 2021-04-28T19:49:02Z

@jason-wilson Telltale has taught us well. Voice acting is always fun to do. Thanks for playing.

Trek Through Billy by dk5000p 2021-05-02T18:20:25Z

@tigerj Always appreciate your time. Thanks for playing.

Trek Through Billy by dk5000p 2021-05-10T12:22:05Z

@flipsy Thanks for playing. I liked eye wax sculpture man, too.

Ropedive by lootgrounds 2021-04-27T14:30:22Z

I think the difficulty curve could be tweaked a bit. The first level was almost the hardest, the dash made it a lot easier to play and the enemies didn't really add much of a challenge, but they were really cool to kill. Overall I had fun playing this.

Deep Abyss by Taranis Elsu 2021-04-27T22:39:59Z

I enjoyed the art. The squid enemy was definitely the most unfair where it basically killed you if you got close. The reload noise could be reduced and the length the reload could also be shortened. I liked the arrow indicator about where to go but the treasure was only slightly visible, so I just sort of won. Making the treasure more visible to the player and reducing the instant death from enemies would improve this immensely.

Get Down! by picross 2021-04-27T18:18:02Z

I had fun playing this. I think I knocked an enemy out of the level, which made the level unwinnable, think it happened more than once. Not sure if there is a level restart button, if not definitely something to add due to soft locks. I was impressed by the number of different enemies and really liked the record throwing mechanic.

Cavin' by HeylloPotato 2021-04-26T20:23:10Z

I couldn't get past I think it was the third level. Not sure if layers made a platform that should exist not show up, but it didn't seem possible to pass. The grappling was cool.

Deeper by EOShadows 2021-05-02T00:31:02Z

A really sweet ending. A little more differential to indicate what was and wasn't traversable would have helped. Maybe some stone or brick textures. A nice take on classic Sokoban puzzles. I really liked the last puzzle.

Blackout by Frasse 2021-04-27T13:44:56Z

How do I use the stool? This game looks amazing but some signposts about what can interact with what would make it a lot less frustrating.

Road to Treasure by HighError 2021-04-26T19:19:48Z

If you get too low but don't make it to the end the game breaks. I did like that there were upgrades to buy to make the level easier.

Debts and Pandamonium by Cyzaine 2021-04-28T15:17:09Z

I was not really sure what I was supposed to do. I enjoyed the art and voice over. A mission dropdown would have made all the difference.

Jackhammer Joe by Wall Jump Games 2021-04-26T18:26:18Z

I think the game could go in two directions, more of a puzzle game, so you won't be able to die or more of a traditional platformer. The levels could telegraph more of what you need to do and it was weird that I could sometimes jump on bats, but then they would kill me. I also think some of the jumps should be able to be made without having to use the jackhammer or allow air control so you could jackhammer off a wall to make jumps. It got annoying having to restart levels constantly. The idea was interesting.

Falling Through Love by CinderBlock 2021-05-01T01:50:50Z

Love the art. For a first game jam game this is quite impressive. Sounds would have made the world feel just a little more alive. There were some parts that seemed almost impossible to have the people fall through and the amount of speed and control is a little limited. The bouncing off each other is a nice addition and definitely ups the difficulty. A high score page would make this more addictive and I can see this on mobile.

Into The Depths by Jason Wilson 2021-05-12T20:28:27Z

Would have liked some music or sounds to make the game feel more immersive. I liked the concept of the shop but it didn't seem like I could hoard gold to get to the expensive items. The enemies also seemed pretty easy to avoid, so the only limiting factor on descent was the air cannisters. In my runs the health seemed pointless.

A Frogs Tale by Gorethumb 2021-05-04T18:06:07Z

Gorgeous art but the controls made the game basically unplayable for me. I couldn't get wall jumps to work to go higher and the character couldn't make jumps to the platforms. Plus having dash be on the mouse is just clunky. Good initial bones to expand upon.

B.R.E.A.K - Bad Robot Enjoys Attacking Krew! by pxlshk 2021-05-04T19:30:57Z

The amount of time to complete the level was just about perfect. I really enjoyed punching things. I didn't really feel like I was going deeper and deeper, but still good job.

Deeper and Deeper in the Woods by Mizatorian 2021-04-26T23:33:22Z

I like the use of sound as a game mechanic it is rarely seen. Would have been more interesting if maybe there was something we were looking for to keep the wolf from eating us to use the sound mechanic more, but I understand that is tough to even complete something during a game jam. Congratulations.

Mind Fall by Nyx_Works 2021-04-28T19:08:44Z

It took a few plays to know that shooting kept me from dying. I made it to the 500 m mark. I liked that there were multiple different enemy artwork.

LD49 — Unstable

Unstable Concoction by theviraldragon 2021-10-04T22:49:20Z

Having the game be purely trial and error to determine the potions was a little tedious. Even telling you a recipe once you figured it out so you wouldn't accidentally try something twice would have been nice. Overall nice job and an interesting way to determine success or failure. Also good take on the theme.

Chessapeak City by Sorrer 2021-10-04T23:32:41Z

This is definitely interesting, a tutorial would have helped a lot.

Orbital Swing by SpaceMonkey 2021-10-09T18:29:33Z

Really cool that you can import your own music and the game reacts to the music. The astronaut's movement was a little weird, but he is in space, so sort of expected. I am not sure if I missed it on the screen but a timer or something to let me know how long the game is would have been nice.

Bird Attack ! by MrSchlag2 2021-10-05T00:06:05Z

Was very difficult to keep things balanced. Good artwork and funny concept with the birds.

The Unstable Graveyard by dk5000p 2021-10-04T23:01:07Z

@str8griz Yeah, not sure what is causing the bug, but I guess it lends itself to the theme haha.

The Unstable Graveyard by dk5000p 2021-10-04T23:28:10Z

@maxathon W,a,s,d might need to click in the window.

The Unstable Graveyard by dk5000p 2021-10-05T02:34:41Z

@hcs-hades It was a rush build, didn't get to bug test maybe I'll check and upload a bug fix.thanks for playing.

The Unstable Graveyard by dk5000p 2021-10-05T18:00:14Z

@peachtreeoath Yeah, with the shorter voting period this time I'll see if I get to a bugfix. Thanks for playing.

The Unstable Graveyard by dk5000p 2021-10-07T12:43:13Z

@axonny I believe it is because it loses access to the target to follow.

The Unstable Graveyard by dk5000p 2021-10-08T18:35:30Z

@randomerz I guess I could just delete the red dots, but even then the game doesn't have a win state. Thanks for playing.

The Unstable Graveyard by dk5000p 2021-10-09T16:13:53Z

@langotriel Thanks for playing. Yeah I was going to have the enemies explode, so they were unstable but really just did not have time. Ludum Dare crept up on me from nowhere.

Towering Dice by marcmagus 2021-10-06T22:39:58Z

Currently don't have lots of dice with me and the d6's I have are quite small, so not sure how well they would work for this, but seems like a fun risk/reward game.

Arrithmetic by Dimini Inc. 2021-10-04T22:27:34Z

Even if we are supposed to do the calculations in our head the time per each question is way too short. Interesting concept to have math with consequences but needs ramp up.

Alche-Tea by loueee 2021-10-06T23:26:03Z

The deadly didn't seem to go up. Was fun seeing things get created though.

Purps by Str8griz 2021-10-04T22:09:04Z

Defeated the boss. My main quibble is the font for the story was difficult to read but besides that the game had good gameplay and the boss had interesting attacks.

Bob's Underworld by chesschaser 2021-10-06T00:21:01Z

Enjoyed playing this well enough. A simple enough game concept. I did like the sound effects.

Wobbly Penguins by bqq 2021-10-07T01:03:24Z

I enjoyed the penguin puzzle elements, not sure I actually liked the twist, but it was interesting.

Building Game Building by randomerz 2021-10-08T05:20:27Z

I was having trouble figuring out how to use some of the abilities but I still had fun. Would have been nice if I could rotate pieces and if I could I didn't see the controls.

Mars Contractor by Chameth 2021-10-06T00:02:06Z

Really liked the AI puzzle it was a nice challenge. Good game and nice fit to the theme.

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Time Wars by dk5000p 2022-04-06T00:45:16Z

@okamit Yeah, the boxing character is the one I was working on and already made some more progress. The character now can deal damage. The rest of the game is the out of the box but thanks for playing.

Hex'd by Paroxysmal 2022-04-09T15:24:27Z

I liked that the levels had checkpoints but would have liked if you just replayed a level when losing all lives instead of starting from the beginning. I also did not really understand how much time I had as a slime, it just showed -1 and then sometimes I would die. Overall a fun game, though.

LD52 — Harvest

A Day in the Life of Death by DDRKirbyISQ 2023-01-23T19:12:39Z

Amazing game. Awesome artwork, great story. Stuck to the theme. Well done in a short time.

Paper Druids by rubr 2023-01-25T21:29:12Z

I enjoyed the simple artwork and the page flipping sound. The game definitely ramps up. Will give it a few more playthroughs. I had fun.

The Gold'n Apples by kikiriki367 2023-01-25T20:33:27Z

I enjoyed the semi puzzle aspect. I liked the relaxing music and it contributed to the mood. Overall I had fun.

Farmtastic by Talia 2023-01-25T22:11:14Z

I enjoyed that it was sort of a deckbuilder. I had control over what strategy I wanted to try and learned new things as I went. Played through multiple times and had fun.

Rough Harvest by Timur_Bahadir 2023-01-25T21:08:26Z

I enjoyed the art. Would have liked a few more seconds to plant. Seemed I was mainly dealing with weeds, so no progression. Also, clicking cook didn't do anything for me but probably user error. Good game.

Reap What You Sow by Hare Software 2023-01-12T19:44:19Z

Good AI. Fun computer voice and interesting gameplay. Definitely fits the theme. Have a tied record against the AI, but learn new plays everytime.

Farming For FUn by dk5000p 2023-01-10T15:52:16Z

@matimat Yeah, I was working most of the weekend and maybe worked on it for 3 hours of work the rest was waiting for applications to open, but got a framework that basically can play like Pac-Man. Thanks for playing.

Farming For FUn by dk5000p 2023-01-12T19:18:22Z

@langotriel and @arron-fowler Thanks for the kind words and always nice to see familiar faces.

Farming For FUn by dk5000p 2023-01-25T02:43:25Z

@sephowepho There is try jam which is I think 3 or 4 hours but I also think it is like Compo, so everything from scratch. Very difficult to get a game made.

Farming For FUn by dk5000p 2023-01-25T19:09:16Z

@kikiriki367 Thanks for playing and I try to make something for each Ludum Dare. Hopefully next time I actually can give a couple days.

Farming For FUn by dk5000p 2023-01-25T23:05:01Z

Farming For FUn by dk5000p 2023-01-26T13:03:26Z

Farming For FUn by dk5000p 2023-01-27T16:40:31Z

@matank and @honey-pony Thanks for playing and the kind words.

Cardwork Cycle by Honey Pony 2023-01-25T22:37:04Z

I built the mystical plant. I didn't really feel any sense of danger from the enemies but I enjoyed the overall gameplay loop and had fun.

Strange Harvest by YaMaisiukDranko 2023-01-23T18:46:58Z

I liked that the bugs had movement to them. Not sure if there was more to it than clicking the mouse to kill a few bugs. Congrats creating a game in a short time.

LD53 — Delivery

Animaternity by Tex Killer 2023-05-19T02:46:21Z

Interesting concept. Took a few seconds to figure out how it worked but eventually got it. Fits the theme and plays nicely.

Boxbrawl Delivery by Cruise Elroy 2023-05-08T20:46:17Z

Had a lot of fun playing. Didn't progress too far, but might give it another chance later. Fits the theme and enemy progression was nice. Some tough snails.

Baby Boom by SophieM 2023-05-17T15:38:22Z

Good sounds and artwork. A tutorial to help me know what was getting me points would have helped but overall fun.

FredEx by ScrapMetal 2023-05-17T15:42:54Z

I agree with a lot of people's sentiments that you lose a lot of packages right off the bat. It was funny, though, and a nice challenge.

Souls on Board: The Styx Delivery Service by Boon 2023-05-02T17:07:29Z

Enjoyed the sounds. Was not really sure what to do and the controls were a little annoying but it did make me laugh.

Delivery by dk5000p 2023-05-02T18:18:07Z

Thank you for playing. I did have more stuff planned but accidentally made plans on the weekend with family so lost like 6 hours.

Could not figure out how to get anything on the plates but fun art and audio.

Bundle Dumper: Florida Edition by cheesepencil 2023-05-19T03:41:59Z

Very difficult but probably cause I am playing on a keyboard. Still was fun.

Hellfire Pizza by AploveStudio 2023-05-19T03:05:06Z

Enjoyed the story and the movement was nice. Only thing I would have wanted would be directional indicator for the restaurant.

Great game, Awesome art, fits the theme, and interesting controls.

30 Minutes Or Your Potion's Free by Rustywolf 2023-05-19T03:37:43Z

King defeated. 2x research 2x Lightning Strike 2x Preparation 2x Channel 1X Zone of Intellect

Hitting for 30 with each lightning strike and stunning the opponent made it not too bad.

Alien Postal Service by Corrupt Spaghetti 2023-05-15T19:50:50Z

Interesting concept. Some of the controls were a little finnicky but good start and framework for a fun puzzle game.

Delivery of Death by Remn 2023-05-17T16:12:06Z

Great artwork and lovely music. Was a nice progression of story.

PuffyCats by Iacopo 2023-05-02T17:18:27Z

Lots of fun. The leaderboard didn't seem to update for me, but still enjoyed feeding the cats and it played well.

The tale of the merchant Michael and the King of the Sea by Stupid_scarf 2023-05-19T03:48:41Z

I ran the page through google translate and it said you quickly googled to figure out what fairy tale this is. That made me laugh even if I assume that probably wasn't the actual text.

Pigeon Brigade by Iqoribou 2023-05-02T17:53:03Z

Had difficulty directing the men where to go. I know time is always an issue but a tutorial would have definitely helped. Interesting concept.

@langotriel Thanks for playing again. I hope I actually made a good game one of these times.

Limited Jumps by dk5000p 2023-10-20T11:53:23Z

@lastuck Thank you for playing. Yeah not sure why cinemachine ended up giving me an issue this time, usually it works without much issue, not sure if it was a recent update that changed options.

Limited Jumps by dk5000p 2023-10-20T18:42:00Z

@babaorhum Thanks for playing. I did like the concept I was going for, time is just always difficult.

The Darkest Of Maze by BorderDestroyer 2023-10-20T21:17:06Z

LD59 — Signal

No Signal by dk5000p 2026-04-21T00:14:03Z

@lllarso Thanks for the feedback. Yeah had been a while since using Twine, so struggled for a bit and had little time. I had some sound and extra art but couldn't figure out how to incorporate.

@bloodbane Thanks for playing. What parts could have been clearer?

No Signal by dk5000p 2026-04-22T16:21:25Z

@bigdippers Thank you. Yeah I didn't want to overload it and still lots of different puzzles that can be utilized with simple binary information.

No Signal by dk5000p 2026-04-22T22:07:53Z

@prunus-padis Thanks for playing. I did create a white noise sound but had been a while since using Twine, so relearning everything and being on a time crunch ended up having me only do text. Thanks for the feedback.

No Signal by dk5000p 2026-04-26T21:14:46Z

@ditam Thanks for playing. Yeah had a couple illustrations done but forgot how to link them correctly in Twine and didn't have enough time to keep trying. The picture on the page is for Sign AL. I also drew a tentacle for tgat bad ending. I also made static white noise, but just gives me a good groundwork to expand on.

Pawn Patron by deformhead 2026-04-22T15:57:30Z

Really enjoyed the audio. I assume the attacks were not random and the cards were indicating that, but did not really get that. Overall a well composed game.

Signal Breaking by TopperVideoGames 2026-04-23T00:49:28Z

Really unique puzzle game. Had me thinking but also not thinking the puzzles were impossible.

Earworm by Maxwell3000 2026-04-25T02:18:48Z

Awesome job making multiple minigames. Not sure how I got zero points, but still had fun.

Rouge Light by Kaijiro 2026-05-04T11:59:56Z

I will parrot everyone else's experience. I sadly could not progress in the web build, but interesting idea.

Cableman [a rhythm game] by rucksack 2026-04-24T19:32:15Z

Winter Resort by Xarina777 2026-04-23T00:29:41Z

Love the sprites. Had some trouble navigating but then learned I could jump.

Drop da Myc by Kr0tyara 2026-04-20T21:25:22Z

Love the art. I could not figure out any of the puzzles other than the first, so either I am just terrible at these types of puzzles or they are too difficult, but like that you included skip so you can see everything.

Pardon my Alienese by MatthewLevy 2026-04-23T01:00:26Z

A unique take on the theme. I liked the alien. Played it on easy mode to see if it just keeps adding rules and seems like it.

Great art and humor. Not much of a rhythm game person, so not exactly for me, but good entry.

Liked the overall game flow but would have liked a few more choices. Good use of theme.

The atmosphere is great. Was not really sure what to do to figure out the passcode, thought maybe counting things but really didn't seem to get anywhere. A hint option or even just answers so I could progress in the game would be nice.

oops, wrong alien by aniretti 2026-04-22T16:06:28Z

The art design is amazing. Hoping there might be a good ending, but seems futile. Maybe just don't communicate with aliens.

Great game. Loved the humor about the homework folder. Nice back and forth gameplay. First round was actually very close.

S.I.G.N.A.L. by BigDippers 2026-04-24T19:40:10Z

Fell behind on a bad one to start and couldn't recover but good game and use of theme.

BitMaker by McRamon 2026-04-25T02:07:38Z

Was not cranking out numbers like in an idle game, so did not figure out the perfect combo but still had fun watching the bits go.

FixTheDamnSignal! by anszwa 2026-04-28T23:06:43Z

Fits the theme. Easy mechanics and great audio.

What's Wrong With My Keyboard? by Ch1k0_9kA 2026-04-24T19:25:42Z

The gameplay did not make sense to me but most likely user. Good audio.

5G Crash by krawa 2026-04-22T16:20:16Z

Love all the different enemy types. Like the weapon descriptions on the game page, would have liked them also in the game. A fun take on a tower defense game.

Blind Signal by Ilya Kr 2026-04-23T03:07:11Z

I liked the concept but came to the conclusion it was safer to just not use the signal and the one square was enough to navigate. Wonder what it would have been like in complete darkness.

Radioblet by Dwang 2026-04-23T14:51:42Z

Love that there was a mobile version. Great take on the theme.

COPYTHAT by PPKO 2026-04-23T01:08:56Z

Loved the artstyle. Was sort of getting it but probably would have needed pencil and paper and still not sure I picked everything up. Still fun

Turning Signal by InkyH 2026-05-04T11:52:55Z

The controls are a little clunky but also feel the levels might be too easy without the clunkiness and kind of fits the story. Good artwork and on theme.

On My Signal! by brolga 2026-05-04T11:46:41Z

I initially thought this was tower defense also, but then noticed I did not have a tower with health. Having to time the archer shots at the right time was a nice twist.
