@alex-adedge Subconsciously I think it was C64 inspired haha, I'm glad you liked it! 😀

@zicboy I had a lot of fun making and playing this so perhaps I will! Thanks 😀
@tomeks Thanks! Glad you liked it 😀
@dk5000p The health you choose at the beginning is just for difficulty / to max your score (the value of each "coin" is multiplied by your current health) Although that would've been a cool idea! The vagueness of the game was intentional as a throwback to older games that didn't really make sense until you played them a couple of times or read a strategy guide. I'm glad you enjoyed it and thanks for playing! 😀
@axavian Glad you liked it and appreciated the different mechanics! Thanks for playing! 😀
@tlcoc I like to experiment in making different types of games but I really loved making and playing this bite sized type of game. Maybe I will make more like it! Thanks! 😀
@abhis1kadian I'm glad you enjoyed the aesthetics and that you got nostalgia playing! Thanks for the feedback and I'll be sure to play and rate your game tonight!
@alexey-akulovich If you mean right at the start when choosing your lives, no. But if you mean in the first level, then yes. 😀
@zinski Thanks for the feedback! I loved your game! Rated it too 😀
@luxetrix @jonathan-lorenz @diaxcor Thanks so much for playing and leaving feedback guys! 😀 Played and voted on your games too!
@dreamingdice Thanks for playing and leaving such good feedback! I try to make my games intuitive like the Mario games! If you liked the side scrolling shooter level, A few hours ago I released a small realized game out of it with two player co-op! https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/716625 I agree with your complaint on the red squares, looking back I should of made them subtract from your score instead of your lives. I'm glad you liked the graphics and sound effects! However I decided not to include them in the voting since they're so primitive. Thanks again for the feedback! 😀
@YinYin Hey thanks for trying my game! What browser are you using?
Thanks for the comments guys! Not sure how the issues are occurring, as I've gotten multiple people to test the game without these things happening. If I find out what the cause is, I'll do my best to resolve it ASAP.
@pparadigm I believe that was one of my best design choices. Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! 😀
@BluShine Thanks for the in-depth review! I'm really glad that you liked my design choices and level design. I spent most of my creating the engine and feel of the game. The levels were made in a real rush last minute, hence the later levels getting repetitive haha. I agree with cutting down the levels to focus on quality over quantity. Thanks again so much for the feedback! 😀
@pparadigm I know how you feel! I've tried getting my gf into multiple games and the difficulty (even when on easy) is sometimes too hard for her to enjoy the game. Thanks again for the feedback and thanks for playing!
@Spiffy Thanks for the feedback! "Funny" story about the collision issues. I spent a few hours tweaking the engine to get near perfect collision, then after being really tired around 4am I accidentally deleted a bunch of things, long story short my last backup was too far back to use and I had to remake my collision handlers from near scratch. I had a bit a of a breakdown and then decided I'll just have it working "good enough" haha. Also fun fact, I had originally designed the game to have 4 "worlds" containing 4 levels each. Each world would have a unique song with a different tempo. After messing around with the code for jumping, I realized that I'd rather spend my time working on other aspects of the game. Thanks again for playing! 😀
@Pixelome Thanks for playing! I'm glad you liked my choice in music, sorry you're not a fan of the fanfare sound. (I happen to love it haha) Thanks for the feedback!
@kyyninen haha people finding it tense is one of the reasons I named it "Just Relax", also because I had to keep telling myself to relax during development. I like your suggestion on a graphical representation on the rhythm. It was on my to-do list but ended up being prioritized below other things and unfortunately got scrapped. The jumps should always be the same height, unless standing on a "jump block" (the slightly lighter coloured blocks). Also I don't think it would be possible to 100% the game if the glide and boost buttons were one, but I could be wrong haha, I like your idea though. The music variation is a must if I make another game similar to this, and colour palette variations could be interesting if done right. Thanks so much for playing and leaving feedback! And who knows, maybe one day I'll make an official game/app 😀
@Yashpal Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I agree with your ideas, especially idea #2. With idea #4, it may not be clear but you can finish the game just by getting to the exit. You can also collect all the cirlces, or finish the levels without touching the "bad blocks", or finish in the time limit. If you go into the level select you can see your overall progress. Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! 😀
@szabe Thanks for playing! Glad you liked my ideas and execution. I'd consider these two genres as incompatible due to jumping being one of the main mechanics of most platformers. Replacing the jump button with an automatic jump in beat with the music is something I don't think any platformers have done before. Thanks for your feedback!
@IndieLucky Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! Glad you enjoyed it so much! 😀
@kpded I'm glad you enjoyed it despite it being a rhythmic game! Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! 😀
@Roman Petrov Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you liked it and I agree that it could be expanded to become a bigger game! I'll be sure to play and vote on your team's games tonight! 😀
@larzan Thanks for playing! Glad you liked the overall game and appreciate the polish. Thanks for the playing all the levels and leaving feedback!
@ShiMapleLeaf Glad you liked the music 😀 The level design was rushed last minute, my bad haha. The controls not being what you prefer doesn't make them bad, sorry if you were unable to adapt. Also sorry that level 4 glitches for you, I am unable to replicate the glitch and I haven't heard of it happening to anyone else. Thanks for playing and leaving feedback!
@Jin9310 Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! Glad you liked it 😀
@Rombus Sorry to hear that the audio doesn't play for you. I have no idea what caused the audio not to play but if I find a way I'll fix it ASAP. Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! 😀
@SamuelSousa Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! Glad you enjoyed it! 😀
@Ruslana Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! 😀
@Krystof Klestil Glad you enjoyed it! In theory, I was sceptical it would be fun, but in practice it turned out to be a great idea. Thanks for leaving feedback! 😀
@Velocity7 Thanks for the feedback! Glad you liked it 😀
@LooksLikeSomething Glad you liked it! Thanks for leaving feedback 😀
@HagamosVideojuegos Hey thanks for trying to play it! Not sure how the problem is occurring but thanks for letting me know 😀
@Aditya Shukla Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! 😀
@Querk Glad you liked it! Thank you for playing and leaving feedback 😀
@MZA Glad you found it relaxing. Thanks for playing and thanks for the feedback! 😀
@Ava Skoog Hey sorry it didn't work, turns out Chrome updated how they handle audio, it should work fine in another browser. I foolishly had the main menu load after the first sound effect finished playing but have just changed it to load after a timer. Also I can't release an exe any time soon as I've got some things working with JS that would need a decent amount of tinkering to work fine as an exe. Thanks for trying to play though! 😀
@Anubhav Kashyap Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! Glad you enjoyed! 😀
@SecretPocketCat Thank you so much for letting me know! I started reading through heaps of documentation thinking I did something wrong. Your comment was very relieving haha. Also if I do a post-jam update of sorts I'll aim to fix these things. Thanks for playing and leaving feedback!
@Kaiomoi Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! Glad you liked the design 😀
@Mau That was a "secret" passage. There's a few hidden in the game 😀 Thanks for playing and leaving feedback!
@ava-skoog Sorry for the late reply! Thanks for playing! Glad it worked in the end haha. Yeah the challenge is self-imposed to let the game be as difficult as the player decides. I agree with you on the win fanfare, I sort of added that last minute aha. I agree it would've sounded better like that!
I'm glad you liked the aesthetic! and thank you so much for the feedback! 😀
@shelvid Sorry for the late reply! Thanks for playing and I'm glad to see you had fun in doing so! I agree that waiting for the jump is quite annoying so I tried to space out the gaps in the levels enough so it wouldn't be too bad. Thanks for the feedback! 😀
