I get a little fanfare sound when the loading bar is full, but it remains there - just a full loading bar.

@YinYin Hey thanks for trying my game! What browser are you using?
Chrome Version 66.0.3359.117
I really like this, it's a very relaxing game. Normally when I play a platformer I want to try speed running, but once I got into the rhythm of the beat, it was a really chill experience and I just enjoyed hopping through the levels. Great job!
I agree with the above comment, its a nice relaxing platformer. I also enjoyed but i couldn't get all moves to work ( like N didn't seem to do anything for me) - I enjoyed this, great work !
Thanks for the comments guys! Not sure how the issues are occurring, as I've gotten multiple people to test the game without these things happening. If I find out what the cause is, I'll do my best to resolve it ASAP.
Pretty chill game. I like that progression is one thing, and health/coins/etc are optional goals.
@pparadigm I believe that was one of my best design choices. Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! π
@plufmot97 Definitely! I'm not the most coordinated gamer, but I love story, so it disappoints me when my lack of skill/coordination gates me from progressing further in a game story much longer than it does the average gamer or at all. With some games you can watch play-throughs from other people, but if it's a compelling-enough game I'm going to want to complete it myself! So I really enjoyed that aspect of your game.
Wow, really great job! Loved playing this. The basic mechanic was already a cool idea, but the boost and hover abilities worked together super well. The optional objectives was also a very smart choice, and I really like that you have a level select that shows you which ones you've done for each level and an overall completion percentage.
The level design felt really great, too. Some of the levels started to get a little bit repetitive about half way through, but there was also some cool stuff with moving platforms that interact in interesting ways with the music rhythm. I think you could probably have cut it down to a smaller number of levels, and focused on making those levels as good as possible. But that's a very minor thing.
Easily my favorite platformer I've played so far in the jam. Wonderful work!
This might be my favorite entry by far. Exceedingly chill, simple and straight forward. Music was a lovely loop. Other than some collision issues here and there I really enjoyed it. For future versions perhaps different a different tempo. But all in all a quality entry!
@BluShine Thanks for the in-depth review! I'm really glad that you liked my design choices and level design. I spent most of my creating the engine and feel of the game. The levels were made in a real rush last minute, hence the later levels getting repetitive haha. I agree with cutting down the levels to focus on quality over quantity. Thanks again so much for the feedback! π
@pparadigm I know how you feel! I've tried getting my gf into multiple games and the difficulty (even when on easy) is sometimes too hard for her to enjoy the game. Thanks again for the feedback and thanks for playing!
Really interesting concept  The music really made it for me, but the fanfare sound broke the mood for me :( Overall a great entry :trophy:
@Spiffy Thanks for the feedback! "Funny" story about the collision issues. I spent a few hours tweaking the engine to get near perfect collision, then after being really tired around 4am I accidentally deleted a bunch of things, long story short my last backup was too far back to use and I had to remake my collision handlers from near scratch. I had a bit a of a breakdown and then decided I'll just have it working "good enough" haha. Also fun fact, I had originally designed the game to have 4 "worlds" containing 4 levels each. Each world would have a unique song with a different tempo. After messing around with the code for jumping, I realized that I'd rather spend my time working on other aspects of the game. Thanks again for playing! π
@Pixelome Thanks for playing! I'm glad you liked my choice in music, sorry you're not a fan of the fanfare sound. (I happen to love it haha) Thanks for the feedback!
I didn't relax at all! Surprisingly tense, however that might be just me anticipating the coming beat too intently.
Couple of suggestions: I'd really love some graphical representation on the rhythm. Kinda like Crypt of the ~~Necromancer~~ NecroDancer has that rolling meter on the ~~top~~ bottom of the screen. _(Edit: WHICH WAY IS UP AGAIN)_ Another piece of UI I would find helpful is an indicator on how high your next jump will be, drawn above the character. Maybe these elements could be combined somehow?
Also, I never used glide and boost separately. I think you could combine those inputs without changing the flow of gameplay.
I liked the trick levels best. You could add some variation by adding a couple of tracks (though that must have crossed your mind) and cycling through the different palettes every 5 or so levels. Maybe different color schemes could signal that rhythm has changed?
Summa summarum; Good effort, I'd love to play this on my smartphone, with headphones on, before going to bed or when waiting for public transport.
@kyyninen haha people finding it tense is one of the reasons I named it "Just Relax", also because I had to keep telling myself to relax during development. I like your suggestion on a graphical representation on the rhythm. It was on my to-do list but ended up being prioritized below other things and unfortunately got scrapped. The jumps should always be the same height, unless standing on a "jump block" (the slightly lighter coloured blocks). Also I don't think it would be possible to 100% the game if the glide and boost buttons were one, but I could be wrong haha, I like your idea though. The music variation is a must if I make another game similar to this, and colour palette variations could be interesting if done right. Thanks so much for playing and leaving feedback! And who knows, maybe one day I'll make an official game/app π
It's great game. (rhythm + Platformer). (you remove most important mechanics from platformer and mix with rhythm)
Nice interactive tutorial. visuals are properly defined and understandable.
Level Design also great.
I really enjoy it.
there is so many things you can add in this game
I like hidden path to reach to the end.
1) different type of music (rock, jazz, country ,etc) so rock music is fast and challenging
2) Level is changing with music similar to floating bar is change size with beat. Some objects move according to bass and other move according to tribble
3) As @kyyninen suggest different color will be great addition
4) Different modes/ different achievements like collect all circles. or finish in limited time. don't collide with black, etc.
@Yashpal Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I agree with your ideas, especially idea #2. With idea #4, it may not be clear but you can finish the game just by getting to the exit. You can also collect all the cirlces, or finish the levels without touching the "bad blocks", or finish in the time limit. If you go into the level select you can see your overall progress. Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! π
Very cool game mechanic, and you did so many interesting things with it. Well done! I didn't really see how these genres were incompatible or anything, though.
One of the strongest implementations of the rhythm genre I've seen so far, well executed and fun to play! Great job!
Your game is awesome! With this chilling soundtrack and minimalistic artstyle. Despite my constant poor performance in rhythmic games, I was so engaged in the gameplay that managed to finish a several levels) Well done!
@szabe Thanks for playing! Glad you liked my ideas and execution. I'd consider these two genres as incompatible due to jumping being one of the main mechanics of most platformers. Replacing the jump button with an automatic jump in beat with the music is something I don't think any platformers have done before. Thanks for your feedback!
@IndieLucky Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! Glad you enjoyed it so much! π
@kpded I'm glad you enjoyed it despite it being a rhythmic game! Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! π
I love rhythm games and chiptune music! I think you can expand it to become a bigger game, really loved playing it. Our team (Wise Hedgehog) would be happy if you also try and vote for our games: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/good-hamster-dead-hamster and https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/tanktris :) Thank you in advance!
@Roman Petrov Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you liked it and I agree that it could be expanded to become a bigger game! I'll be sure to play and vote on your team's games tonight! π
Awesome!!! Great idea, veeery relaxing music, good gfx and style, many levels, a great and complete game, well polished, couldn't stop until i played them all :D
@larzan Thanks for playing! Glad you liked the overall game and appreciate the polish. Thanks for the playing all the levels and leaving feedback!
That chill house music did good things. I really liked your base mechanic, it was pretty cool. I think another take on it would be to have a guy with malfunctioning rocket boots - it wouldn't be chill anymore, but it might just be really cool. Another thing you maybe could have done is to change the palette every 16 or 32 bars or so - could be an alternative to having the player control their own palette (but not necessarily a better one). Anyway, cool entry, great work :)
Love the music, fits perfectly with the name of the game.
The game itself looks decent and the idea is pretty good. But I didn't really like the excecution. The level design is not very good and the controls are just bad. I suggest using the arrows keys to move and using keys like Z,X,C etc. for actions. Also encountered quite some game-breaking glitches while playing, I kept falling trough the floor in level 4.
Really wish the excecution was better, cause the concept is really good.
@ShiMapleLeaf Glad you liked the music π The level design was rushed last minute, my bad haha. The controls not being what you prefer doesn't make them bad, sorry if you were unable to adapt. Also sorry that level 4 glitches for you, I am unable to replicate the glitch and I haven't heard of it happening to anyone else. Thanks for playing and leaving feedback!
Great entry and I absolutely love the way you used simple colors with simple beat to create such complete game. Just great!
@Jin9310 Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! Glad you liked it π
Really cool game! Although I don't hear any music, not exactly sure what could be wrong as it's a html5 game, and reading all this comments complementing the music sounds like I'm off with something :\
@Rombus Sorry to hear that the audio doesn't play for you. I have no idea what caused the audio not to play but if I find a way I'll fix it ASAP. Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! π
Very relaxing! Not to complicated aside the use of N & M. Very complete when it comes to levels mechanics and goals. Art is simple but the palette is nice. Music gets the job done but sometimes its unclear if the Square will jump or not. Its a enjoyable entry!
@SamuelSousa Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! Glad you enjoyed it! π
Nice little game ^_^ and gameplay is good too!
@Ruslana Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! π
I really enjoyed playing the game, the combination of a platformer and a rhythm that is at the core of the mechanic proved much more fun than I would have thought.
It was fun dude. I liked it
@Krystof Klestil Glad you enjoyed it! In theory, I was sceptical it would be fun, but in practice it turned out to be a great idea. Thanks for leaving feedback! π
@Velocity7 Thanks for the feedback! Glad you liked it π
I like calm games like this. You made plenty of levels! I made it to the 10th level before waking up back in reality ;) I'll try to finish it later!
The soft colors and the music fit perfectly with the theme of your game. Great job!
I can't play! After the Ludum Dare image, the game stay in the green screen, can change the palette, but nothing more, i can't rate it, sorry :(
@LooksLikeSomething Glad you liked it! Thanks for leaving feedback π
@HagamosVideojuegos Hey thanks for trying to play it! Not sure how the problem is occurring but thanks for letting me know π
A very simple and well designed game. Loved the concept. Well done.
@Aditya Shukla Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! π
Wow ! great game. simple and cool. i like it.
Good Job :)
Just what was required after a stressful day. Very calming indeed. Makes me want to play more. I appreciate the ability to change color pallete to. Theres only two improvements i suggest:
1. some extra indication that you've been hit by an enemy like flahing on and off momentarily. 2. The moving enemy blocks registers several collisions when you collided once - to fix this.

@Querk Glad you liked it! Thank you for playing and leaving feedback π
@MZA Glad you found it relaxing. Thanks for playing and thanks for the feedback! π
Dang it, I really wanna play, but I can't get it working. ): I'm running the latest Chrome (I updated just a minute ago) on Windows 7. If this isn't inherently a web game written in JS or something, could you perhaps just provide a native executable? I'd be happy to play that if so!
As others have said, this is really a stress buster. Fun little game, enjoyed it very much
I'm afraid your game was hit by the [recent Chrome update audio problem](https://www.pcgamer.com/a-google-chrome-update-breaks-the-audio-in-numerous-web-based-games). I fired the game up in Firefox and the audio worked nicely.
The game is nicely relaxing, although I'd appreciate if the beat was more pronounced - I had trouble predicting when the character would jump just based on the track. The physics is also a bit wacky.
Well done. A very simple designed game and many level designe. =D
@Ava Skoog Hey sorry it didn't work, turns out Chrome updated how they handle audio, it should work fine in another browser. I foolishly had the main menu load after the first sound effect finished playing but have just changed it to load after a timer. Also I can't release an exe any time soon as I've got some things working with JS that would need a decent amount of tinkering to work fine as an exe. Thanks for trying to play though! π
@Anubhav Kashyap Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! Glad you enjoyed! π
@SecretPocketCat Thank you so much for letting me know! I started reading through heaps of documentation thinking I did something wrong. Your comment was very relieving haha. Also if I do a post-jam update of sorts I'll aim to fix these things. Thanks for playing and leaving feedback!
@Kaiomoi Thanks for playing and leaving feedback! Glad you liked the design π
I think I cheated on one level? The cube went straight into a wall and fell to an exit. Interesting game.
@Mau That was a "secret" passage. There's a few hidden in the game π Thanks for playing and leaving feedback!
I've got two OS's on this computer and I booted into the other one to see if another game that wouldn't work on Windows would work here on Ubuntu and since I happen to be using Firefox there I tried your game again too and it worked this time, yay! :D
It does have the relaxing aspect that's in the title for sure, and the music definitely helps a lot with that. It's got a really great mood to it.
Gameplay ended up confusing me a bit tho because I originally thought hitting enough dark boxes would kill me and force me to restart the level but I soon realised that I could hit them as many times as I wanted to, so that suddenly removed the challenge. Is it meant to be self-imposed? I did notice the counter but it didn't seem to be doing anything. ):
Really love the music! My only audio complaint would be that the win fanfare really clashes with the music. I think it would've worked better to use notes from the music to make them mesh. But no biggie since that sound was only heard with at least a minute in between or so! c:
The graphics are as simple as can be so it's difficult to say a lot about them, but it's a classic, cohesive style that works, especially for games like these, and as long as the Γ¦sthetic is consistent (which it is here) I think it's always a safe bet. Looks very nice and clean!
Overall a fun game but I feel like it would've been more so if there was actually some penalty for touching the dark areas, that's all. :p Really nice work!
It is what title says... Just relax. really fun and well made entry, love the floating mechanic, feels really nice to pull off those small clutch jumps. Its slightly annoying to wait for jump but its definitely great. Well done!
@ava-skoog Sorry for the late reply! Thanks for playing! Glad it worked in the end haha. Yeah the challenge is self-imposed to let the game be as difficult as the player decides. I agree with you on the win fanfare, I sort of added that last minute aha. I agree it would've sounded better like that!
I'm glad you liked the aesthetic! and thank you so much for the feedback! π
@shelvid Sorry for the late reply! Thanks for playing and I'm glad to see you had fun in doing so! I agree that waiting for the jump is quite annoying so I tried to space out the gaps in the levels enough so it wouldn't be too bad. Thanks for the feedback! π
I really wish that people like you have a normal rest, because it can help get rid of constant fatigue and anxiety. Therefore, I want to mention this resource https://westcoastsupply.cc/products/pink-kush does wholesale. It makes a good contribution to the process of sleep and relaxation in general.
Today there are many supplements and not everyone uses it in the right way. I suffer from insomnia, but I used to always be energetic. Then I decided to find a cure that would help me feel old-fashioned. My friend advised me on [check them out](https://hometownherocbd.com/collections/delta-8-gummies).
