NSA's Where's Snowden? by Will Edwards 2013-08-27T12:02:00
Haha, like the political approach you took, although i have to admit that i lack the patience to go through all the text, a bit too slow paced for me.

Haha, like the political approach you took, although i have to admit that i lack the patience to go through all the text, a bit too slow paced for me.
As we are always told, time is relative, influenced, among other things, by gravity.
Never believed it?
Now you have prove!
The game shows you the world from the perspective of an external beholder, observing your actions.
You start as Cornel Snoopster on your home planet and have exactly 10 seconds to get to the carroty planet in the top right corner.
Unfortunately your ship is too slow, but alas, as gravity slows time relatively to the eye of our beholder, you can get close to planets and collect Wormholes that can be found close to the surface to make up for lost time.
The closer you are to the surface of a planet, the slower time ticks relatively to our omnisciont beholder (you).
Try to make it to the carroty planet without running out of time.
p.s.: the project was too ambitious, although i have more grafix implemented, there was no time to get them in the game. My geometry when placing the objects on the planet is seriously f**** flawed i mean. But my brain is just not able to handle it anymore, need sleep...
The space scene was supposed to scroll over a few screens and make it bigger, works, but still flawed, so couldn't get it in either.
Also the collision detection had to be removed for the planets, so pretty moot to fly around there.
All in all it was a great experience, wish i had more time to implement all that i planned.
Hi Beardbotnik, i hear you, i assume you have an older computer? I noticed this myself, because as didn't use a game framework, only a grafics framework, it is lacking a good timing mechanism and i am simply using the framerate. So depending on your framerate the ship is moving slower or faster (bad game design), making the thing effectively unplayable on older computer. I am planning to do a post-LD version, where i would use a game engine, or add a timing framework.
Thanks Motty :) yes, the gameplay definately is still very buggy. After working so much on it i had serious problems with my math ;) I definately plan to fix that in a Post-Compo version.
Thanks Hadley, saw it, although i guess you did not see that the whole point was the fact that you save time on the planet because the time there passes way slower than when you are flying in space, relatively that is. Anyhow, thanks for the mentioning :)
Waaaa, awesome! Love the black humor :)
Nice, a complete and finished game, fun too play, although it becomes a bit repetitive fast.
But well done, like it!
Good thing that you went for finishing the game, i got too ambitious and so mine is still too rough...
Haha, sooo addictive, loved it. Love the primitive grafix and sound effects, nice!
Nothing happens, after i pressed space i only see the three kids and nothnig happens...
I didn;t realize that the dialogue wasn;t over yet and that i had to press space again, thanks :)
This game is absolutely gorgeous.
I love the idea, this is the first game i see that didn;t just use the 10 seconds as a game mechanic, but really made it part of the story.
The best one i have seen so far, great story, love the dialogue, was even a bit emotional at one point.
Absolutely lovely, i enjoyed playing it a lot, thank you for this one.
Love the design, beatiful colors, well made.
Don't get it though, after all the minerals are gone, nothing happens?
Like the interpretation of "second", thought about that one too :)
Thumbs up, lovely, just missing a level reset after your done...
Nice grafix, well made game. I don't get the rewind thing though...
Hehe, love the idea! Very creative interpretation of the theme, top!
Nice grafix, but too many planes too fast, no theme connection
Wow, awesome idea, very thrilling gameplay, and effing hard man, love it!
Interesting game idea!
I dont understand this game, couldnt get it to work, how about a tutorial?
Awesome start screen. I actually enjoyed the game a lot, simple grafix, but well made, really fun to play, thank you :)
Love the puzzles, well done, cool idea with being your own partner.
Hehe, great idea, well done.
Wow, absolutely addictive, had a lot of fun playing it through :)
Good idea, good grafix, insanely hard...
Beautiful, a piece of art.
But no game... yet.
Absolutely love the design though!
Nice idea with the time control! Good grafix.
Absolutely gorgeous, one of the most beautiful games i have seen here. Great music, fits well.
But the game is too easy, and i don't see the theme connection really.
But this has potential, really beautiful.
Wow, well done. Looks good, interesting game play, good all round, and all the code from scratch? Respect!
Hehe, nice, like the idea, very sweet grafix :)
Gorgeous game, nice playing, the little egg was anoying me quite a bit when it did its spining wheeling bumpy thingy.
Good replay value, really addictive :)
Although the theme connection is a bit thin here.
Great idea, like how you used the theme, addictive :)
Great grafix, very playable.
Wow, great grafix and audio, nice idea, well executed, love it!
Only one thing, i had keyboard problems too (i use a Dvorak flavour) so arrow keys to moove would be great :)
Hehe, nice one, like the way you have to defuse the bomb, well done :)
But... but......... ... there was so much more to see, why now? Just a few seconds more, ... please, i don't want to ... die?
Gorgeous game, love the idea, the design, the music, great, my absolute favourite!
Played it again, still too soon :)
Nice, a well told story, like it.
Wow, great grafix style, like the "vampire burn in ten sec. idea"!
Well made game.
Interesting idea, nice grafix idea, but waaay too small, had problems recognizing the icons, hovertext might be a good idea.
Nice idea! Good way to use the theme!
Great grafix, nice idea to put the tower defense into a japanese setting.
Very addictive, althoug it does have sound problems with chrome, sound never stops after the game ends.
But i like it a lot :)
Forget what i said about the sound, that was the FF version still being open :)
Hmm, too fast paced for me, couldn't survive for more than a few seconds, was that the point?
Interesting idea, although i couldn;t read the dialogs, the text appeard for a second and got skewed then. Is that intentional?
Anyhow, nice idea and like the visuals
Wow, crazy graphics and quite challenging, good work!
Interesting, nice music, no real theme connection though...
Great Idea, fun to play!
Great concept, one of the best i have seen so far, but the robot had some problems, he wouldn't drive backwards, and, once stopped, not move again...
Nice grafix, interesting idea with the color groups.
I got stuck in the building and couldn't move anymore, also, after seeing the tutoraial page, i couldn't go back anymore.
But a nice game!
Beautiful, love the grafix, good music, nice one :)
Absolutely beautiful style, the gameplay was not so obvious to me though...
Good game, but it didn't do much with the theme...
Gorgeous. Really stunning visually, but i didn't get it. Is this a game? I couldn't click anything, and suddenly it was over...
Hehe, nice idea liked playing it :)
Fantastic, very gripping, great sound and grafix.
Interesting idea with the two players, as i am alone i had problems playing it :)
Cool grafix and nice idea with the team where each has 10 secs, thumbs up :)
Beautiful art and atmosphere, would have loved playing it longer, but i couldn't get the door to open? I collected the two pieces necessary, and the door is lit up, but what then? Couldn't enter with normal body and neither with the ephemeral...
Great game nontheless, one of the best i have seen so far, Top!
Aaaaah, now it works, clicking the door? Not really self explanatory after playing with the keyboard the whole time :)
Beautiful puzzles and level design.
Interesting choice for the visuals, but nice game.
Nice game and levels, the mouse was a bit too fast for my taste. I don't know if it is a bug or me, but couldn't manage to jump the high wall in level 4 or 5
I am speechless. How can you do sth. that awesome in just three days. Oh, wait, i guess you know what you are doing :)
One word, perfect.
Apart from the fact that i have a soft spot for rabbits, i love the design and spottless execution.
Great gameplay idea too,
wow.
A very dense atmosphere, nice.
Nice design, fun to play, but a bit monotoneus.
Wow, simple gameplay, but so beautiful, i couldn't stop :)
I can't start the game, it says I'm missing MSVCP110.dll.
Nice idea, i like it, just can't see the theme :)
Couldn't play it, unfortunately Win7 64bit doesn't tell me what is missing...
Game crashes the moment I try to execute LD7Engine.exe. Windows 7 x64.
Tried compatibility modes and Admin, nuttin'.
Good idea, good implementation, love it!
I did play it, but there was no theme connection, really. Simple game, works ok, but coludn't stop it, had to terminate the process (Applet)
Haha, nice, reminds me of a game i made 5 years ago, love the ASCII take on it :)
Installer are a bad idea, sorry, not going to install it...
Hehe, nice idea, took me a while to get it, i also couldn't read fast enough to survive, hehe.
Wow, very complex map design, like it. Nice grafix, a bit too much dialog maybe...
Good game.
Nice idea with the glitch effect, nice grafix, but found it a bit difficult to navigate the character...
Errrrr, don't get it, just a countdown after pressing a key for 10 and 9?
Missing a tutorial, also there is not much to do in general, just buy and equip ships.
Nice idea, i love the fact that you simulated a cothode ray shadow effect :)
Hehe, nice idea for the games theme, classic concept, but well made :)
Nice game, but i had some problems with the mousemovement, the cursor didn't seem so responsive.
Haha, nice, reminded me of the first games for the c64, like the visuals too, complete with parallax scrolling :)
Very nice take on the theme, love the puzzle aspect, good music + grafix!
Good game :)
Hehe, funny idea and grafix :)
Nice visuals and music!
Haha, love it! Also toyed with the idea of this type of second.
A well made game, great grafix, simple but addictive i have to say :)
Looks beatiful, nice to play, although the fact that you are blind for a second after switching worlds makes your survival a bit random. just as in real life i guess..
Good and fitting music.
Funny take on the 10 seconds time limit, like it :) Reminds me of a Flashpoint ep.
Hm, looks beautiful, but i didn't get it. Nice music.
When do they disappear? Seemed random to me, clicking didn't give a consistent result. A better tutorial would be great..
Haha, que idea, me gusta mucho, solo el control de los bloques es un poco raro, pienso tambien que seria mejor con strafe.
Y la musica... lo mejor de todo, perfecto para este tipo de juego.
Thumbs up.
Nice one, like the idea.
Love the pencil style :)
Haha, nice idea :)
Interesting idea, funny grafix :)
Nice one, too bad you don't restart in the same level though :)
LOL, never realized that it is so difficult to open the jar. And just when i wanted to give up for real, I DID IT, yippieh. Interesting time of contemplation it gave me, like "why am i wasting my time with this" and "what the hell is this good for" and "is there life on mars".
Great piece of ... no idea what this is, but me like :)
Nice idea, although i had problems playing it because i had problems with the keys (i use a Dvorak flavour and it somehow blocked Win7 from changing the keyboard layout.
So i guess it is a bit monoton, although i couldn't play it far as i had problems navigating :)
Eddie, that you? :p
Nice, like the audio idea, good choice :)
Hmmm, i have to admit that i didn't get it, a tutorial or sth. would have been nice. Tried like 10 times, don't get it :|
Looks great, but the gameplay is questionable without having s.o. to play with.
Might work with a full server though.
Get a grip recruitment, beta test, this doesn't sound like it should be here...
Wow, beatiful concept and design, love it! Although the control of the bird is a bit tedious at times.
Great game!
Interesting idea, well made, only a bit laggy when light comes into view?
Love the concept, good take on the theme, nice visuals, really well made.
Glad to hear you got your cat back, i can relate :|
Interesting game mechanics. Nice.
Like the small planet idea, good grafix too :)
Nice game, a bit repetitive. Also the web version crashed my browser (Win7-64bit).
Nice music...
Nice puzzles, like the way you tied it in with the theme, although the gameplay doesn't have anything to do with it.
Good game, clean design.
In the web version i can't move up and down, tried everything, arrow keys, num keys, awsd, nothing works, only space. And that never has any effect on the movement of the ship, i think the problem lies there, the ship movement.
Wow, awesome, great grafix, great game play, enjoyed it a lot, couldn't stop until i won (took me quite a few attempts, hehe)
Good work!
Beautiful, great music, grafix, only the dove jumping was a bit difficult.
Nice one.
Beautiful grafix, like the game idea!
Great idea, looks really nice, but it doesn't work for me on chrome. The commond forward x does not what it is supposed to, the robots only move one field, independently what number x is...
Absolutely awesom, very captivating puzzle the second one, couldn't let it go until i got it!
Love it, enjoyed playing a lot.
Wow, great, music, grafix, level design, top notch!
Interesting entry, nice grafix, but a bit repetitive.
Great game, good grafix, nice sound, love it!
BUT, the controls were really confusing me, arrow keys would somehow made it easier i think. I also never managed to find the reactor :(
Good and solid game all round though.
Link is broken, cant download :/
Whop, forget that, was a problem of my ISP, sry..
Great idea, like the visuals, remembered me of the good old days :)
I didn;t get the theme connection though...
But well made..
Beautiful...
Beautiful! Well done, love the incredible intro!
Wow, all that in 72h? That is amaaaaaaaaaazing :)
Haha, wow, such a nice mood, very freaky ;)
Yeah, as always, i was too short on time to add some more candy ( more/better sounds ) and get most of the bugs out :(
AAAAaaaaargh, RIDICILOUSLY hard! GREAT game, couldn't stop. No time to write more, gotta finiiiiish...
Phew, first of all, as i said, ridicilously hard, but very rewarding. Would be nice to have a death counter or sth. also , as mentioned before, some nice reward when finishing the level would be nice, but i have to say, one of the best games i have played here! Well done!
Haha, made me laugh so hard, LOVE IT :D
(and Fu2 btw. ;) )
Haha, fun to play, love the quirky music and sound and grafix, neat! Great intro and outro :)
Georgeuos, you should make more levels and publish it, i had a blast playing it, great idea for a puzzler!!!
Nice, a lot of fun to play, like the Dunishlike quality of it :) Thumbs up.
Haha, great idea, love it, and fun to play
Great concept, failed three times, captivating!
Nice, interesting concept :)
Great idea + gfx, but haaaaard :)
I absolutely love your interpretation of the theme, i like it when a game switches between point of views, well done!!
(But it is sooooo haaaaaaaaaaaaaaard :) )
Love it, great Gfx + Music, the controls are very inovative, gives it a very specific feeling and difficulty.
Top Game!
Woaaaaaah, chilliiiiing, looooveee iiiiiit duuuuuuuudeee :)
Nice atmosphere, i really like the ambient music and dark setting. Only the controls are a bit shaky (my mouse sensitivity was all cranked up somehow).
Well done :)
Woah, nice game!
Good gfx, great music, good game mechanics (constant visible progress, clear rules).
You should continue working on it and change levels / backgrounds after the player reaches a certain size, this will be fun to play longer!
One word: Genious. Love the idea and the Warholeske grafix, very artsy and yet a lot of fun to play, top!
Love the music, great simplicistic Backgrounds, well done!
Haha, funny idea, like the worm, the music is nice :)
Well done, the controls were a bit difficult, but nice idea. Love the bat sounds, it really gives you a feeling of ultrasonic sounds :)
Love it, played it half a dozen times (failed the first time) was a lot of fun, well done!
Wow, great idea, beautifully implemented :)
Nce idea, liked the random mazes, am a big fan of generated content, read your post mortem :)
Great suspenseful music, good idea, well executed,
Haha, nice idea, good gfx and music, well done :) Didn't see the meter counter at first though and stopped before reaching level 2.
Nice, like the gfx, looks good!
Wow, great gfx, love the style!
Haha, great idea! At first i had my problems with the controls, but it is fun :)
Awesome, a great idea, well implemented, nice ambient music, Thumbs Up!
Haha, i like it freaky fringy, nice concept Dexter. And only 48h? Well done!
Haha, nice idea with the ducks and the frog, it is the same setting as my game, just a diffirent view :)
I only got confused with how long the frog could dive, an 'airbar' or sth similar would be nice.
It was a bit short, but nice pixel art and i love the music, hehe :)
It would be nice if the music were a bit longer and not repeat itself so fast, but good choice for the mood!
Great concept, the music fit in very good, gives it a very 'spacy' feeling, well done sir
Nice design, but i had problems with the controls, isn't there a way to change buoyancy?
Astonishing, i had a blast playing it, i just hope that my RL score will be more like the last one i had in the game, and not like the first, hehe.
Absolutely marvelous!
Nice, fun to play, although i didn't realy undestand the score...
Hehe, nice idea, got a bit dizzy from the oxygen deprivation :p (1453)
Great scary mood, good ambient sounds, if it weren't day and sunshine outside i'd have been scared to death, hehe :)
Very claustrophobic feeling, nice!
Great idea, beautiful gfx, nice music, effing HARD!!
Well done :)
Waaah, nice idea, beautiful sky and atmosphere, cool!
I couldn't pick up the chest either, but nice idea :)
Never saw thet twist on soko-ban before, it is absolutely great, very fun to play, especially the her part had me thinking very hard, well done :)
Nice idea, really like the gfx style, controls a bit sticky sometimes, would have been better with cursor-key rotation.
Good work!
Good idea, well executed, love the colors and the clean design, wish there were more levels :)
Nice idea, but not too much to do game wise, but if you work on the concept a bit i can definately see a nice game in there.
Great Gfx.
Awesome, great idea, fun to play, not too simple puzzle, love the cel shader and colors, very well done indeed!
Good idea, great gfx, but i didn't manage to move far, too many evil spirits :(
Wow, that was intense. I finally won, very captivating and entertaining, although i did not really get the dynamics of who is best against what. Anyhow, very good game!!
Woooow, jeeeeesus, i spent sooo much time with this one, lol.
So simple but so addictive, haha, i like it.
But you should just reduce the mapsize, that way it is not dragging on so long.
Well done sir!
Great game, good mechanics, good gfx, fun to play!
Wow, great style, veeeeery difficult to play. Like it!
Nice gfx + music :)
Wow, a very good implementation of the FTL type thingy, really liked it although it is quite difficult to get the right mixture for the ship.
Fun to play but a bit frustrating after a while, but maybe thats just me not being able ;)
Very good concept and theme interpretation, great gfx}
Awesome, great idea, great implementation, love it!
Beautifully serene, audio fits perfectly (but did you do the audio yourself, or is it more a JAM entry?)
Really great and enjoyable game!
Love the concept, well done!
Wow, great idea + execution, was a lot of fun to play, good music + gfx. Although the principle was very simple it was very captivating!
Wow, beatiful, you should enter it in the jam and add some nice spherical music to it. Love it!
Wow, that is difficult, the controls and movements are a bit buggy, but i enjoyed in anyhow, the more difficult the more i want to solve it :)
Well done.
Interesting concept, nice even though there is not really any decision to make in the construction.
The music sample was a bit short though ;)
A bit slow and nothing to speed it up.
Nice concept, although i did not come far, as soon as some event happened i was done stress wise :(
fun to play, good gfx, love the idea with the story-cutscenes to connect the different levels, very nice!
Pretty tough the last level ;)
Very interesting concept but fairly comylicated to get into, so many parameters and planets, it is a bit slow to get to know how to do what and why...
Nice concept with the crafting, like it.
Movement feels a bit uncomfortable..
Nice, good concept, i thought of sth. like that but couldn't really make it work, you did, well done :)
Was fun to play although the controls were a bit fickly sometimes, good onboarding..
Great gfx, interesting concept, but i didn't get the game really, i built some stuff + ppl hunted teh few boars there were and nothing really had much consequences...
Nice idea with the 'ghosts', thumbs up. The music was a bit anoying after a while, but the gameplay was captivating, well done :)
Nice movement handling, i like it. But is it open end?
Great concept!
Haha, you used the same 'sound tool' than me :)
Like the idea, but i didn't get the hang of it, maybe a better explanation on the game mechanics would help the uninitiatied players.
Awesome, at first i was taken aback by the jumping behaviour, but it is really fun to play and well done, thumbs up!
Hehe, another filter fan, love the visuals, good idea, veeeeery hard though.
Great music, fits well, a bit too loud though.
Overall: Well done! :)
Interesting idea with the console.
Nice gameplay, very fun, good mechanics, well done :)
You got me with the gap before the end, aaaaaaaaaaaaargh...
Thank you!
I was very moved by the story as i can relate to it and it is very well written, your words are evoking emotions, memories and images, no pixels necessary.
I 'played' it two times and was moved by each version of the story.
The representation of nursing homes and the path we follow through the eyes of the protagonist should stand as an example of how it might be and in fact is in a lot of cases.
I agree with the other commentators that it is a 'stereotypical' view, but it is one story of many that are out there. I certainly have seen / heard of exactly those situations. This is one story out of the many.
I have to admit that i didn't get the parallel video / text part, maybe you could clarify that in the instructions like : First open the video, then when the text tells you go to the second link (or sth. like that for the slower ppl. like me ;)
exhale
Beautiful, couldn't stop until i got the all. And i have to say, absolutely gorgeous font choic, love it!
Haha, awesome implementation of the theme, hehe, damn those salami slices!
Love it
Nice, moving and controlling the character was a bit tricky, but well executed, nice gfx :)
Great gfx + music, good implementation of lunar lander!
Nice mechanics, flappy LD, hehe
Short but good. I like the intimate touch it has. Although it is about a female protagonist i think that everybody can see a bit of his / her own life in there, wanting to live your life a certain way but colliding with society / partners / fate which seem to push in the other direction.
Thumbs up!
Haha, great music, good concept with the funny extras and effects. Nice one.
Wow, great entry, loved every second, a lot of fun to play. I noticed that in the end my conquered planets were building radio towers automatically, bug or feature?
Love the theme implementation, nice gfx, good game mechanics, fun to play, well done indeed!
Nice innovative concept, great music, well done!
+1 for beer being good, agreed ;)
Absolutely great game. Everything fits, fun as hell, and the messages to other players, genious addition!
Wow, that is a great game, beautiful visual style, nice riddles, a complete game, you should develop it further!!!
Nice one, i like the idea. Good effects too :)
I love the gfx, but i couldn't figure out how to play :( looks promising though, you should try to add an non-hotseat version.
Aaaaah, this was just one of the best entries ever! I love games that have different game mechanics and switch the point of view as you have done here with basically three games (questions, steering, key-breaking).
Love it, the texts made me laugh tears, sooo entertaining!
thank you
;)
I liked the shadow and light effects, but it after the first few levels it got a bit monotone, maybe if you added sth to collect?
Haha, beautiful, i had no idea what was going on, i was placing the kids, blocking the snowman and collecting the snowflakes, totally surreal and beautifully serene, i absolutely love the music, nice one :) To have to explore and try it out yourself might be just neglecting every aspect of making a game or just the best idea ever. I enjoyed it immensely!!!
Nice one, great music :)
Nice little space shooter, had problems controlling it though as the wads keys on my keyboard are far away and it didn't change after keyboard layout switch (osx/dvorak).
Nice gfx, easy but complete puzzler, i like it!
Nice sound, good idea and implementation, but the chatting thing did not work, i sent two messages and nothing ever came back, so i guess i kind of didn't see the whole point you wanted to make?
This is the best theme implementation i have seen so far, very good, love it! Great visual style too, level switching, puzzles, all in all a really great game, you should add a few more levels and publish it big time.
Oh, and +1 for the snowman of course ;)
A very innovative game, like the sound bit reward thingy, well done :)
Nice idea, beautiful gfx, unfortunately the controls were a bit buggy, i got stuck several times at the corner of a platform and it was very difficult to control the movement of the player.
But a good idea and gfx, would make a nice game.
Haha, that. was. great!
Funtastic, thats what i was looking for, someone who can implement this kind of idea in a good way, and you did great!
Loved it, some kind of end screen would have been nice, but loved the treasure-map art style and the writing was good as well (sound didn't work for me)
Great job, congratulations, i enjoyed it a lot.
Haha, love the sound, very funny, although a bit fickly the controls...
Wow, this is great, crafting, surviving, great gfx story sound, very polished, love it!
Well done, although i have to admit that without the tutorial of the post-compo version it would have been pretty hard. but it would be better to use images instead of the abbreviations for the resources.
But a great game, i like the visual style of the map and i had fun playing it (i am a sucker for this kind of game)
Good entry, you should polish it a bit more, smooth out the edges and put it out there :)
Nice, i like the idea, too bad you didn't have the time to finish it, i imagine it is quite complex to create all the dialogue :)
Unfortunately i was ALONE :( but i love the sounds and the gfx, well done :)
Wow, that was how i imagine smoking crack must be, crazy desorienting, you think you kinda know whats going on but you don't, speedy gunfest. Great entry, still shaking ;)
Nice, simple concept, well implemented, was fun. Would be nice to zoom out with time or sth. similar.
Well done!
This is a great comp entry, i love the idea (was always very fond of the 'many players one computer' games).
Was only playing it alone, i found it quite difficult to kill the second player, but this is definitely worth extending, well done!
Awesome idea, good implementation of the theme (one screen diff camera angles. Surreal idea somehow, i like it although i didn't get the point collection.
Anyhow, very creative concept, well done.
Haha, beautiful and fun to play to, loved it! Reminded me of the train chasing part in north and south. Great Gfx and style!
Fantastic idea, very well implemented, both thumbs up!
Great game and concept, impressive. I had some problems of reading everything on my "13 screen, but this is well done, especially for the compo!
Nice one, a complete game with several levels on one screen indeed, like it :)
Nice concept, but i found it a bit limiting that i only could choose the column, it felt a bit too limiting. But well implemented and designed !
Hehe, i see you use the same 'sound machine' that i usually use when i have time ;)
Good idea and quite interesting although not many options to influence the plant, you should think about adding some events and more controls, the concept is good, i like it!
So glad you added a web build, i had a tab with the rating page open ever since i saw you post and a preview image!
Love the concept gfx, some chilling music would have been great too, but well done.
It could need some more play testing for the events i guess, but the waves and the 'sand deteriorating' works really well, i was surprised to see what happened to the rest of the screen after i was occupied saving my flag for a while.
Great game, love it!
Wow, nice one, very captivating, love it. Sucked my time in like it was nothing :)
This is awesome! Great idea with the notes / opera / space combination, very creative (ok, lets forget physics for a sec ;p)
Loved it, great idea, well implemented, great gfx + sound.
Well done!
Nice concept, quite difficult i have to say...
Great concept, music, art! Didn't manage to find the killer, but this i a well done game, congrats!
There is no web version, only a download, is this on purpose?!
Beautiful splatterfest, great gfx, good sound, fun to play, just missing some power ups / level
Haha, nice one, very simple but i liked it, played it for a few minutes :) But as Thommy says, i can't rate it either. (i like the sound btw, air raid emergencyyyyy)
Wow.
Fan
Tas
Tic
Best game i played so far, you managed to do this in 48h? Very impressive, Great job!
Great job, i loved sim city 2000, you got me hooked instantly, so simple, so good :)
I love those kind of sims, but unfortunately nothing happened, pressed 1 and every other key i have, but now spawn :( (safari)
Beautiful, a bit difficult to control and overal confusing to me, but thats maybe a personal thing.
Wohoooww, this is difficult to wrap ones head around.
Interesting controls, not sure if they can work, for me it was quite frustrating to be honest.
But interesting concept.
Haha, love the idea, beautiful gfx.
Never won once though :(
Good job!
Great music, like the gfx, short and very linear, but a full game nonetheless, well done :)
Good gfx + music, but controls were a bit difficult, couldn't really jump over the first gap...
Beautiful gfx + music!
Haha, beautiful, so simple, so addicting, couldn't stop until she confessed, hehe.
Great, fun little game, good choice of music, good idea with the matching images, a job well done!
Nice sound, good gfx, i like the robocop / dredd mood you gave it, great entry!
Couldn't play it, it gave me an 'uncaught network exception' (maybe because the fonts were not found?)
Like the colors and visual style, well done.
Beautiful gfx, well done.
Not bad at all, the only thing is that you should definately:
* reduce the canvas size or make it fullscreen, i could barely see the whole thing on my 27" screen
* use different art for objects and background, it was a bit difficult to distinguish, but maybe you wanted to make it harder?
But good job, playable and fun, add a few more waves and you are golden
The game crashed constantly, the rabbits did not want to eat the carrots and the other players prefered to pet the rabbits instead of throwing them with a catapult, but a reboot usually fixed this :p
Other than that: Wow. This is the first board game i see here at LD, i wish i had a 3D printer, but according to what i read it must be fun!
Great idea! Well done!
Love the idea, taken from the real life...
We see those guys a lot here in spain...
Great theme implementation!
After dying i had to restart, but a nice game.
I like the idea with the jump + glide combo, very innovative!
Well done :)
Haha, nice one. Good theme implementation. And yes, i will drink responsably in the future.
Probably.
I guess.
Maybe.
...
Cheers
This is a great concept, i love the idea of the remote controled robot thingy that makes the player do things, very good job on the theme!
HAHAHAHAHAAHAA
HIIIIIILARIOUS
Genious idea, laughed my clothes of when playing this one.
Beautiful gfx, great idea.
Love it!
Hmm, i didn't really get the scoring system. But nice idea and music.
Fantastic concept, i thought about something similar, but couldn't put it into a real game idea. You found a great solution, fun, non-violent (almost).
Love it!
And you actually got at least one real life person infected with the song, hehe.
Well done, complete and nice to play!
Love the idea with the bug walking around the branch
Fantastic idea, love it!
Well done, and difficult!
Very innovative and great job!
Ha, nice one, took me a while, but i couldn't stop till i finished it.
Well done!
That was fun! Love the idea of the 'dangerous tip', well done!
Great gfx, good idea, nice gameplay, well done.
Feels very polished.
Great idea, a bit difficult to control as you bump into everything.
But great take on the theme!
Wow, the gfx are great.
Very good onboarding where you explain how to play, very well done!
Brilliant idea.
But i didn't konw i could DIE. :( When i first saw the two green points it worked like a wisp o' willow, hehe.
Just beautiful this game, well done, audio, video, gfx, theme all +1!
That was fun! Didn't expect it to be, but it was strangely demanding and i couldn't stop playing, well done :)
Love the theme interpretation, didn't really understand how the whole heart blowing up converting thing worked, but great game, just a better tutorial / intro is needed! Thumbs up!
Very unconventional for sure. +1 for finding an alternative interpretation of the theme that doesn't include death.
Great mood (music + sound + gfx)
AAaaaajaaaaw, soooo frustrating, dey take mi treasure!
Great gfx, good music, love the concept and implementation, well done!
Nice gfx, love the creature, very cute when it is running :)
Too bad you couldn't finish it...
One Word: WOW.
Great concept, beautiful gfx, well done.
Beautiful setting and mood, very complete, well done. A bit difficult, i played around with the recipies for a while but couldn't really get anywhere beside a few stews. Maybe a bit more direction would have been good.
HUAAHAAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
RAAAAAAAAAGE!
Nice, great mood, fits perfectly, felt like a real autobahn monster, haha!
Well done!
Nice idea, liked the intro screen, but VERY difficult, the janitors could see me through walls (u should check Phaser examples: tilemap raycast) and i could not finish the first level, got stuck at the edges quite often (you could shrink the players body).
Hehe, nice, i remember making a game like that waaaaay back :)
Classic, nice take on it.
File not fond...
Wow, great mechanics, so fun to play. Saw something like this for some mobile game, but this game is very captivating, interesting, challenging, well implemented.
The best so far!
Hehe, nice one. Simple but fun to play. But am i missing some house gfx? It is just a black screen with player and crosshair?
Nice little game, love the art style. Might look even better with smoothed = false.
Well done!
Beautiful gfx, well done on the random terrain, love it!
Could play it for a while, then i also got a 'guy' undefined.
Not really logical, the guys seem to behave randomly, no matter what i do.
Nice idea though :)
Great gfx, a bit lengthy the intro, would be nice to be able to skip to the next line.
Great atmosphere!
Interesting take on the monster, thats a new one, hehe. Good idea.
I don't really get the counting, but the movement and animations of the 'monster' were really nice and polished.
Wow, that was awesome. Great concept, very well implemented, really polished!
Not much gameplay, but great gfx, good work on the parallax scrolling, everything very smooth and well implemented.
Nice
Beautiful, quiete difficult though. Love the art style and the chill music, well done.
Beautiful style, nice take on the adventure mechanic.
Nice music too btw :)
Haha, great take on the 'monster' definition, well done on the gfx, rotation, movement in that short amount of time.
Well done! :)
p.s.: Don't know where you are from, but here (Spain / Germany / France) you have to put some money into the cart to get it, so ppl usually put the carts back to get their money back)
Beautiful visual style. Fun to play, loved it :)
Good replay value too!
Wow, great game, very well balanced with the different types of monsters, the autospawn and the game advance, good idea and very well implemented in only 48h.
I like it a lot!
Great game, beautiful and extremely well polished!
Hehe, slightly politically charged i see :p
I also see LD as a learning experience to get to know new tools, next time you'll know what to do.
You got a working game out of it in any case! Well done.
Damn, so repetitive, but i had to try again...
Haha. Nice.
Haha, just beautiful the idea and implementation! The controls felt a bit strange sometimes, it would have been nice to correct the movement in air at least a bit.
But really well done, n1!
Genious idea! Very inovative, the snake movement makes for a very new way of making puzzles, you should make a full game out of this (mobile and such)
Best game so far!!!
Wow, great job very complete, interesting idea that you have to eat your cover, great gfx and point system, well done!
Great Gfx, good idea, plays well, nice one!
It should not be over after only one get through though i think. This way the games a very short (at least for me, hehe)
Very short, but nicely done, would like to play more :)
Interesting idea, nice!
You are getting there, it is always a slow process to use a library that you are unfamiliar with, keep at it :)
Nice one, a bit repetetive the gameplay, not much variation with the waves, they are just trying to kill me and not to get to the loot, a bit more AI would be nice.
Love it, very well done. Gfx ok, great idea, well implemented with levels and everything!
AWESOME roar sound btw ;)
Nice idea, interesting puzzles. No theme though...
Nice packaging for a riddle. I Like the presentation (gfx + music). It is a bit cumbersome to start over from the beginning every time after a wrong answer though, takes a lot of time.
Wow, great visual style and audio, great entry.
Love the gxf style, good monster anim, fun to play :)
Haha, well done!
Love the idea, well implemented.
You got me btw. :|
ATTACK!
Haha, awesome.
Absolutely love it!
Simple but very captivating, and the princess was very tasty indeed :)
(you should scale the images / sprites though (use smoothed = false), had to zoom the browser window to get it to a decent size)
Nice, great gfx and gameplay, pretty hard though.
Haha, great, nice Zola quote too :)
Very well done.
Hehe, nice idea, good choice of music, a bit repetitive.
But what about the oil spills ? :|
:p
Beautiful and sad and true. Great job. Love it.
Beautiful, love the art style...
Haha, nice. I mean
MUAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAAA!
Cute gfx, nice idea, thumbs up!
Great idea, well implemented, like the music, very polished! (Don't know how to win, impossible ;) )
Great music + art. Looooots of text though. But some funny lines in it :)
Good visual style, i like the political angle that you used, i was thinking about sth similar myself (watching refugee boats while not helping them)
Good entry.
Hehe, coookieeeeees.
Great gfx, love it. The controls and hit boxes are a bit off sometimes, but good job, love the humor!
I can't stop grinning!
What a blast to play, love the art style, the animations, the colors, the way it starts easy and gets more difficult, just a big fat WOW!
Awesome game!
@BoltKey: My idea was that you only have a limited time each level that you can 'tie' them, but time ran out.
Your idea is simple and easy to implement, will add that to a 'next day' version.
Thanks for the level tip, will fix that later today (Tiled problem with polygons)
This is a great concept, i bet it would work very well with multiplayer too, you should think about continuing the work on it!
Haha, great idea, full fun and theme rating for sure, good idea on the button combo movement.
More levels please :)
Nice game. Simple but captivating because of the theme, save the forest, make them not want to cut it.
Well done.
Nice typing game, like the psychedelic effects of the monster and the sound.
Great take on the theme
Wow, beautiful, very polished. could do with a bit more gameplay progression, but that should be an easy addition, very nice!
Wow, looks beautiful, nice use of lights, like the retro scalene effect too, well done.
And very fitting music too btw :)
Absolutely fascinating mechanics, love it.
Great implementation of the theme.
Haha, great idea, love the audio and gfx :D
Couldn't run it, it gave me the same error Truism had (Mac, safari)
Love it. A bit difficult to get into indeed, but very captivating once you start playing.
The theme connection is a bit slim though...
Sweet touch with the funny comments of the trees, hehe.
Nice idea of a snakesk-game, good look, but i didn't really understand the mechanics, the time ran off so fast...
Interesting take on the snake concept with two buttons.
Haha, nice idea with the two paddle = two buttons, good theme interpretation, all fully working, well done.
That is a great concept, love the shrinking/growing/jumping mechanic, very creative!
Interesting concept and setting, you should try to polish it a bit more and publish it as a mobile game, that might be fun.
Wow, great mechanic, love it! Good use of both themes :)
Hehe, i like the real world scenario :p
Haha, sickest game yet, won't be able to go to the dentist for the next ten years.
Love/Hate it, 5 stars :)
*shudder*
Very simple mechanics, but very nice endless runner, looks very polishedd, fun to play.
Wooow, that is HARD. I am still not sure if i understood it correctly, maybe it would be good to have a tutorial level or level with a lot less options first to let the player get used to the concept.
But i love the idea, very original take on the theme!
Good job
@Naca yes, you can reach a point where the puzzle becomes unsolvable, as you can not shift lines with an empty field. (then you have to press 'r' to reset or ESC two times)
Tried the webbuild with chrome/Win7-64, can't click 'n flick...
Nice, well done. A bit slow at the start, but interesting when there are multiple enemies.
I like the art style!
Haha, nice one. Very funny! 10/10 for humor:)
Wow, this is a genius idea, difficult to wrap your head around, seems simple at first, but works well.
Well done sir :)
Nice, you are right, it is similar to mine indeed, fun to play, well done :)
But like BoltKey I also think it would profit from more restrictive movement.
Beautiful, a bit of finetuning is needed for the frequency, it gets difficult very fast.
Well done.
(congratulations for your baby :) )
This is awesome. love the duck, the running of the chick is perfect, great music.
Wow. Well done!
10/10
I love what you did with the shape changing, it looks awesom. The whole game should be polished a bit (better background gfx and such, maybe bezier curves for the blob version) but this is really nice and fun.
Well done, mechanics are great!
Great onboarding via the intro too btw :)
Haha, so mean, i got to kill them to proceed.
I like the twist on the sokoban idea, well done!
Nice idea, but the controls and collisions are a bit frustrating...
Hm, i couldn't shapeshift, just punshing. Then when i died the game kept going, i was invisible but could still punch, but still no shapeshift? (Win7-64 Chrome)
Nice choice of game engine :) Sometimes i died without knowing why, but it was really fun to play i have to say :)
Wow, great, i thought of something like that but couldn't make it fun and interesting, but this is a great idea you have there and it plays really well.
Beautiful images, nice one!!!
Nice game, was fun to play, good usage of respawn points.
Couldn't go further as the leap of faith, afterwards the balls were always too fast.
You should add a bit more gravity and use circular hitboxes for the balls.
Well done :)
Great idea!
ROFL, very funny, although i couldn't make it over the first obstacle, very nice :)
Gorgeous gfx, love it. My favourite thing is how the squirrel walks, very cute.
The jumping and hurting sounds are a bit anoying though ;)
And the kinetic movement took some getting used to.
But a great game, well done.
Wow, this was... it is... wow.
What an awesom idea for a rhythm game, this is the best game i have played so far (out of 35 or so).
Well done, gfx, sound, gameplay, idea, 10/10 !
+1 for using phaser, so 11/10 ;)
Very nice twist on the breakout concept, interesting, liked it!
+1 for the intro and shapekules :)
Wow, great idea, very original, but haaaaaaaard :)
Beautiful, very funny and well done, love the art + story telling. A gem! :)
I couldn't play it, it only showed advertisements and didn't continue after that!
Very complete game, nice gfx, but as has been mentioned before, the travel time is too long, maybe you could implement some 'warp' speed which would accelerate the movement to target until there is an event or you reach the destination.
But really a nice and complete game this one :)
Beautiful gfx + audio, well done. Not very challenging, but you could add some additional difficulty by making it impossible for the solid shapes to pass through each other. That way you can create some riddles where you have to move them in a certain pattern.
Haha, very funny, well done. Needs some polishing obviously, but that and a few more levels and it would have been perfect.
Well done.
I love the idea, i didn't really get it, but it was so surreal with the sounds and the images, i enjoyed 'playing' it.
Haha, great idea, well done!
Ha, i am a sucker for those type of games, nice.
It was a bit too repetitive though, you should change the maps a bit so that the AI will definately get a second base, otherwise it just diddles around waiting to be killed.
Keyboard controls would have been nice too.
But good job, nice game :)
Wow, mesmerizing, couldn't stop till i finished, very captivating, nice dialogues, good writing, nice art style, good animations, a top game!
A very polished game!
I didn't expect it to be that captivating, well done.
I like the combination of form + color, it takes a while to get used to. Nice!
Nice game, i love the 'feathers falling' effect when you fail :)
Wow, beautifully done, i got stuck after a while with the frog, but i enjoyed playing it :)
Great idea! Nice twist on the good old memory game, well done!
Wow, thats haaaaard.
But a very interesting concept!
Funny game, has a few bugs, but enjoyable :)
Wow, this was amazing, very inovative, beautifully made (gfx+sound).
Well done!
Good idea, very well implemented. Like the 8bit style!
Niiiice, i was thinging of shape shifting levels too, but unlike you i couldn't figure out how to actually do it. This is a great idea, well done, very inovative!
Wow, this is a great idea for game mechanics, never saw anything like it, very innovative!
Love the style you used, very cute :)
Nice idea, love the gfx, but i didn't really understand what i had to do ...
Wow, well done, beautiful gfx, good gameplay + movement, a great game!
Nice idea, i like the visual style, but somhow i never found anything else than planets?
Very nice idea, well implemented.
Nice idea, i like the ghost, that gave it a bit more action :)
Wow, great idea, music, style, really polished and well made.
Very fun to play, well done!
Wow, nice, thought about sth like that too but couldn't make it work in my head, but this is very well done, thumbs up! :)
Just one word: beautiful!
Not much of a game, a piece of art :)
I love the idea and the gfx and mood, reminded me of the 'Monty Python Flying circus' game (which i loved).
Really lovely implemented, top!
Brilliant.
Some problems with the particles (almost froze the screen) and checkpoint arrival.
beautiful :)
Wow.
So.
Beautiful!
Great concept + visuals, but pretty hard :)
Beautiful and very entertaining :)
I like the game mechanic idea a lot, you should make a few more levels.
Haha, crazy, a bit confusing all these pwore ups and how to use them. Psychedelic experience, like it.
Good music choice too ;)
Nice concept, good game.
The sound is a bit too loud/high/anoying.
Other than that, a proper game :)
That is a great concept, love the visuals, looks highly polished. Had to play against myself, but this is a great idea.
Add a leaderboard and an AI (for the beginning when there are not enough players) and you got yourself an awesome game!!!
Awesome game, well done, nice gfx (only the walls could be nicer, maybe add just some shadow in the background).
The only thing that was a bit anoying is that you have to start from the beginning, a few savepoints / respawnpoints in between would be nice.
Good job!
Great gfx, a bit low on the theme count :)
Was fun to play, you should put more levels / settings, maybe having to face enemies from both directions...
Good job!
Nice, well done, good sound, good idea, sweet touch with the characters.
There is a bug (feature) that takes a bit away from it, the shape matching seems to trigger too early, many times i had the right shape but still crashed the obstacle.
Good game though :)
Great concept, but diiiiiiificult. Well done :)
Looks nice, but i can't play it, nothing happened when pressing the keys or clicking around in the image
Wow, one of the best games i have seen on any LD, very creative mechanics, a lot of different inovative ideas, nice b/w gfx and animations, add sound and more levels (use the mechanics you have but make longer levels of it, combine the mechanics in some, ...) and you have a great game!!!
You should keep at it, there is a market for these games (vvvvvv and such)
I tried several times but was not able to get the archers to shoot, nor the marines to attack :(
I don't understand it, i don't know why, but i just had to keep clicking.
What strange and addictive ingredient did you use? I don't know, but i liked it a lot.
Would be nice to see the items you have already bought lined up on the screen somewhere, and maybe also add some 'milestones', maybe some information message or level assignement when you reach certain terran / s or terran / click
Well done, nice and complete game, fun to play, intriguing, nice!
But i agree with the other comments, the friction of the bullets on the ground is a bit too low, it seems to take ages until they stop rolling and you can make another shot.
Very nice and relaxing, it is missing only some more detailed animations and transitions from phase to phase, but other than that well done. It looks very polished :)
Wow, beautiful, the mood was incredible, the gfx a very nice style, the music great, a really great experience! Very good on-boarding for the player with the speech bubbles, all in all a very polished entry and a fun experience.
You should expand on this with more mini games to get the keys, it would be easy to use as a platform for dozens of classic mini-games, one in each system (sokoban, invaders, pacman, ...). I think you are sitting on a great idea here!
The only thing that you could try to improve minimally is the fading of the songs, maybe a bit longer, or blending the songs together.
Wow, crazy good visuals, that highly polished, well done!
A complete game with start, finish, menu screen and everything, well done. Although the performance of the web version was bad on my computer, not sure if it was due to the game or my system, but the framerate dropped down to a couple of frames per second at times. Well done though :)
Crazy addictive, very simple commands, but the lag makes it very thrilling to play, watching with one eye the video and with the other one the chat to see who is currently attacking who.
Absolutely love it, had a blast playing it, great game!
Haha, just... one... more... turn.... Very well done, good balancing, i just wanted to check it out and in the end i played till day 134 or sth.
The fact that ppl need healing and then you need all the other stuff in balance, things break, it keeps it interesting.
Very well done!!!
Enjoyed it immensly, nice gfx style, audo ok, music would be nice but was not really missed either. I managed to get all but two ppl, but then i got stuck there. It would be nice if there were some kind of 'endgame' or next level or sth. because even though it is fun to play, after a while there is sth. missing, the 'next event' so to speak.
It would be also good to see which person is actually selected, i couldn' really figure that one out, but it would be helpful in the micromanagement (let the closest person repair)
Haha, LOVE the idea! It was quite difficult to catch the 'friends' though, maybe you could add complication by not making all of those equally fast, but some faster ones that would be better / closer friends and some slower ones that would then be not so close. Also, the already connected friends stayed the same once i clicked them in the left window, i guess you wanted the connection to get looser over time so that you would have to click them again in the left window to keep them close 'spend time with them'. Thats a good idea, but it didn't work in my version.
Love the end screen: 'not your real friends, go out and meet those'.
Well done and a good and true message :)
Nice and polished, loved the 80's retro style and music, fit very well together. The game had a good difficulty progression and was very fun to play, well done!
Great idea, very inovative. Even though it was a simple enough mechanic i enjoyed it when my little workers found their way on the first try :) First of all i think it is a great achievement to have a fully working game after your first game jam, so congratz for that! To improve the idea you could add some obstacles that you have to go around and that might harm the ants, also some limitation to the amount of signals that you can set.
Great idea, although the physics seemed a bit strange, the boxes would stick to each other when i droped them too close and it was not easy to accelerate because i would be stopped by small gaps between the boxes. But i had fun building a huge ramp, although in the end i gave up because it started lagging quite a lot on my computer.
This has a nice art style and cute little entities, but without music it somehow seemed a bit dry to me, you should try to find something that would match the mood of the game.
The way it is now it was not very captivating to me unfortunately...
Wow, intense 'game', love it. It is more a short story with small game elements but the dialog is very funny and i like the existential discussion that you incorporated at the end, haha.
Enjoyed it a lot, very well done, a small piece of art :)
Interesting experiment, you can create nice soundscapes with it, but it lost its appeal quite quickly.
Maybe you should add some kind of goal like hitting a certain sequence of notes, like red red yellow and then the user has to shoot the asteroids in a manner that they crash in the correct sequence, e.g. selecting the orbits and speeds accordingly.
Good gfx and nice atmosphere, too bad that it is a bit short, it went by very quickly. The music is very nice and suspenseful although the loop was a bit short.
Haha, cute little game, very nice and polished. There was a bug when the game takes over control of the player, the first time i didn't realyze that and kept moving the curser keys so i was somehow able to avoid the car and didn't see the end sequence.
Great gfx and good educational value, love the message of it.
Actually, i think i will turn off the screen and go for a quick walk right now :)
Haha, nice one, i like the idea, well done on the 'small planet' mechanic. The music was simple but ok, it could have been a bit longer and not so loud. The gfx was simple but worked well, it was a consistent style that just worked. Movement was good, nothing to improve there, you could even jump on stuff.
To improve the game you'd just have to add more levels and some kind of 'achievement'. Right now you can't advance in any way, it is just you against the same clock. You could start with Level 1: find one person in 7 seconds, then Level 2: 2 ppl in 13 seconds, and so on. Also different planets and layouts would be possible.
But i know, we are talking about 48h, so this is a complete, playable game, very well done indeed, i had fun playing it several times :)
I loooove those 'play on the same screen' games, this one is very polished and looks awesome, well done!
This feels like a very well polished game, the music is driving, the tasks are interesting and make you want to solve them. The only thing that you could change is the difficulty level, it feels like it starts of pretty steep, maybe you could have some introductory levels, NOT tutorials, as it is fun to experiment, but maybe just simpler level designs and not all the full robot pieces to choose from, so that you learn only a few new ones each level. Well done, great job!
Haha, that looked great and could be fun, although i had to try to play against myself which was kind of difficult. So i can't really judge the playability, but it is a very polished looking game you have there. You should try to iplement some simple 'AI' to create a single player mode as well. Great idea to 'pass the hot iron' between the players :)
I like the meta idea, 5 stars on the theme. The game worked well, the mood was great, with the slow laptop starting up and all, but i was missing some goal, i couldn't figure out what to do besides getting power for the battery, it feels like there should be something there that makes you feel that you advance in the game, like this you are just surviving, not advancing. Good job though :)
Looks great, i love the gfx. This game has a very nice mood, i liked it a lot, a very inovative approach.
You could maybe make it a bit more difficult, with more attackers and more need to collect resources, it felt a bit too easy, but i was captivated nontheless and wanted to finish it (which i did :) )
Very well done!
Great game!
Very simple rules and mechanics, but very captivatineg and also a bit educational to make you realize that the location of your power plants matter.
Love the 'green vibe' of this game, solar, wind and water are the future, whatever the clown with the yellow wig says ;)
I thouroughly enjoyed playing this game, i was halfway throught my second pass through the levels when i realized that they were automatically restarting from level 1, lol.
Very well done indeed!!!
Very nice, took me a few tries to understand how it works, but once i figuered that out it was very satisfying. It just needs a few more levels and sound and you have a nice game, i like the simple gfx style, reminds me of broderbund's 'war at land' :) Well done!
p.s.: groups and shourtcut for thouse groups would be great!
Beautiful and great humor, just precious! Well done. Although the actual gameplay was not that captivating, somehow i lost interest pretty fast, maybe a bit more obstacles and jumping around would have helped with that, not only the stragiht floor that you hade there.
Wow, awesome, a great adrenaline rush!
Difficult but very well done :)
That is a very innovative idea, the only thing i would change is to have maybe a few more areas in the tutorial where you have to control the movement, and maybe a better indicator on when the sweetspot for the movement would be. I also found that the level difficulty was very steep, maybe a few more 'easy' levels would be nice.
But a great game and well thought through, good job! :)
I like the meat boy vibe, but it was soooo hard, maybe a few easier levels to get used to the controls would help.
The wall-jumping seemed also quite difficult, maybe extend the time in which you can jump of the wall would make it a bit more accesible.
But well done, a complete and playable game :)
Well done, it looks beautiful, the muisc is very nice and relaxing, very funny questions too :)
The only thing is that it was not so transparent when you would loose energy and when not with the questions, but i guess that is part of the appeal :)
Very polished, well implemented 'super meat boy' style game, only the controls could be a bit more responsive when jumping. Good job!
Beautiful Gfx, loved it, it all fit in very well together. The only thing is that sometimes the keyboard seemed to be 'stuck' when you hold down a button too long.
Beautiful and very polished, but i found it very hard, i couldn't manage to stay a float for long, i understand the principle of the airstreams accelerating you, but it did not really seem logical to me and i couldn't catch many of them.
Maybe a better explanation at the beginning would help.
Or an easy mode for ppl like me :)
Nooooo, they got me :o
Very nice concept, really entertaining, couldn't stop playing :)
You should add more actions = things that you can find.
Also you could make the loading time between moves maybe a bit faster, thumbs up for the dark mood and the tension, well done! :)
Haha, nifty little game, very easy mechanics, but i couldn't stop before the whole beautiful island was full of tourist bunkers :p
Well done indeed! :D
Wow, amazing, very nice idea for a ryhthm shooter, great music and gfx, well done.
It was very satisfying when you get into the rythm and shoot with the music :)
A kind of somber idea for a game, very interesting i have to say, i bet thats the first game dealing with specifically that situation :)
I woooooon (the first election) Which wouldn't happen in the real world as i focused on environment, health and social care, LOL
Very nice game, good concept :)
Wow, this game has a tactical depth that i didn't expect, i only played against myself, but it was really interesting to see how the balanced playing field gave it depth as you had to attack and defend at the same time.
Very well done!
Wow, that was very hard, i could only manage to deactivate the top crystal, after that i was all out of energy and didn't have enough crystals to recharge and attack. Nice idea, well implemented, a bit too hard for me ;)
Well implemented game, i especially liked the music and the retro style gfx, very relaxing and chill :) (except for when the robots tried to kill me with their death rays, hehe)
Great mood an gfx, a very relaxing experience to clean the kittens :)
Great take on the theme, 5/5, nice gfx, as always i am a sucker for voicebox sounds, hehe. Well done!
I'm on it! Very satisfying experience! In the beginning i thought: "poh, waaay to easy", but then the last levels were quite a different thing. I liked especially the star trek gfx and the great level intro texts! Well done indeed!
Wow, great gfx, nice idea with the literally physical running out of space. I found it quite difficult though, how could anybody get >200 boxes, crazy ;p
Thats "Simon the Sorcerer" i think. Great game, i love the kind of meta handcrafted feeling to it, and especially the fact that you teamed up with your kid :D I remember the good ol' days when adventure games were the greatest type of games there was, hehe
Great art style and effects. Very nice how the functionality of the game is added step by step and you have to discover it by yourself, well done.
Woow, nice one, i loved the pixel art style and the different levels (i never managed to make a j&r with levels and everything in 48h from scratch, hehe). the only thing that could be improved are the controls and the player physics, the gravitation is pretty high, and you should make the players hitbox smaller than two blocks, i got stuck several times when trying to pass underneath the tree. Other than that, great entry, good job! p.s.: great music theme!
Great game, the animations worked really well with the movement and felt very ... satisfying for lack of a better word. The puzzles were short but one had to think how to overcome the problem of the missing space(bars) Very well done indeed :)
Great take on the theme, 5/5, cute gfx, the game has a nice action feeling to it. Well done!
Beauuuuuutiful, great theme implementation, cute gfx, well done, was a lot of fun playing it, but it would be nice to have some sense of progression, like waves, and maybe some way of patching up the pizza a bit after every wave to make the game last longer.
Speechless. First i just loved the setting and the gfx, didn't know what to do, pressed space in the middle of the room, nothing happened, evaded the black as long as possible, then i read the description and pressed space near the wall and ...
Haunting is the only word i can find for the experience of seeing me (the player) slamming my (his) head against the wall trying to stay sane...
I can't say i have been exactly there and done exactly that, but it does definately resonate with me...
A very moving experience, great concept, beautifully implemented, a gem of a game.
5/5
Great platformer, love the gfx and the doom-skulls ;p Some suggestions though, it was a bit strange to jump with space, i feel the controls would have been easier to master if i could have jumped with W. It was also not really clear where i had to go, so a mini-map of some kind would have been great. The game was stuttering every time i attacked (Win 7, Chrome latest) no idea if that is a feature or a bug. Overall a great entry, congratulations :)
An absolutely great idea and game mechanics you have there! At the beginning i thought: 'Well, they shoud have given me a hint of what to do" (imagine some deep 'know it all'-teachery voice to that) but after being hit a few times i got the hint, and then after a evading a few times i realized that the walls were shrinking. This 'learning by doing' was very satisfying (after i got it, of course) This is one of the best game mechanic ideas for this theme that i have seen, well done indeed! p.s.: i think the bombs are not even necessary, just keep it simple
Great little logic game, great art style and effects, i enjoyed playing it a lot. Would be great to see more levels for it!
This is great, the new flappy birds, you have to click exactly right or you drown. It might be nice if the square regains a liiiittle bit of size the longer you play, so that it does not only go one way and you have more time / fun playing. You should definately make a mobile game out of that!!!
Haha, nice, i was fighting my way eastward to 'safety' and all of a sudden i was standing at a ledge with skeletons behind me :p Very well done with the character jump animation. The gravity could be a tad higher for my taste, but overall a nice entry!
Stunning visuals, very polished! As for the game, it might be good to also add the possibility to collect the debris, otherwise the game is pretty much over after the first collision due to the chain-effect the debris has.
I love it! Very simple one button game, but a GREAT presentation, VERY polished, the intro with the different tableaus, then the fighting stage with animated background and everything, a morbid theme, good music, crude stick figure drawings, very well done!!!
The only thing that you should improve is the actual game mechanics, i could basically survive without end because i could just kick so fast that noone could ever touch me. So you should send the others in in a kind of waves to make it more difficult and to give a sense of progression, and to have some ppl that need more than two kicks.
Good idea with the forest setting, not only the ranger running out of space but also us on the planet running out of wood and oxygen...
Great job, i love the concept, i love it when ppl come up with creative new game concepts, this is one of them (at least new to me ;p )
Great game! I loved liquid wars, so this was right up my alley, hehe, well done. p.s.: you weren't kidding about the addictiveness, lol
Great concept, but as i could only play the web version it was quite difficult to play, there were many clipping errors and the controls were quite shaky (well, that was probably just me ;) )
@gagapete Thanks for the feedback, the idea is that you have to keep an eye on the Tetris side of things to not run out of blocks to climb on while not getting crushed by the new arrivals (SPACE + CURSOR to remove blocks that are in your way) I uploaded a version with some of the bugs fixed on wednesday night
@YinYin thanks for the detailed feedback! and yes, exactly (about the lines disappearing), but i have to agree with you and @NoNiMad , it is probably very counter-intuitive that the tetris lines are not disappearing the 'tetris-way'. I will try to find a solution for that for the post-compo version. I will also add a view of the falling blocks on the big screen as @Orteil and @shubart suggested.
Wow, awesome idea, really great take on the theme. It was difficult, but once i got the hang of it, quite intertaining. Good gfx, audio + sound, very well done!
 ASCII and J&R are two incompatible genres? You clearly haven't lived through the eighties mate :p Huge game, so many levels, i liked it a lot, also the effects you added which gave the gfx a nice flavour. Although i did not figure out what to do with the key once i had it :o
Great music + gfx, nice work on the filters there. Can't really see the theme applied, but it was fun to play, simple mechanics, well implemented :)
Innovative idea, well implemented. It would be nice to have a map or a type of overview where you can see you skyline grow.
Grat game, although for me the difficulty was pretty high, usually i would just run and jump in panic, and as soon as there was a zombie from the left or right i would keep on running straight and be eaten by it  Very well done indeed, loved it. Minimalistic and fun.
Wow, great concept, i think this is the best one i have seen yet! The gfx could be better, but i like the increasing difficulty, the controls. Very well done!!! :)
Link doesn't work...
Interesting game, very nice gfx and effects, but the car control was a bit difficult for me to handle, i couldn't really get into it, the car felt very heavy / difficult to control. But maybe thats just me. Also the motor sound maxed out at a certain point and didn't go down in volume anymore.
Great game, a lot of fun, nice difficulty progression, really captivating. I liked a lot the fact that you don't start from the beginning but got 'infinite' trys for each shot. It would be great to have a single player or test round option where you just count the total shots needed or the time. Well done indeed, had much fun playing it (albeit alone) I might save this to play with some friends, it looks like a perfect multiplayer game where you can cheer and laugh about the missed shots :p
Great idea, love the art style, a very polished entry. It was a bit difficult to control the movement, but i guess it is just a question of getting used to it, i can't think of any way to improve on it.
Great idea and game, very well done. I liked the increasing difficulties of the level to teach how to play, great idea with the one-time shooting codes! Loved it!
Nice concept, good idea to show the lines of the previous runs that might cross your path.
Great concept, great gfx, audio, a very polished entry! And also a very well working combination of tetris with another game. I also used tetris (+ J&R) but unfortunately the whole thing is not neary as polished as what you guys managed to do. Good job, one of my favourite entries of all LD's i have seen :)
LOL, that was crazy, great take on the theme, loooooved it :D The breakout controls were a bit difficult to handle, maybe a bit faster player movement there? And i had an endless breakout loop.
Awesome!!! Great idea, veeery relaxing music, good gfx and style, many levels, a great and complete game, well polished, couldn't stop until i played them all :D
This is... What? I ... it is ... not sure what my emotions were, but they definately were intense. Insane entry. No other entry made me smile and cringe like that, you certainly evoked a lot of emotions here. Great entry, love it, my only five out of all fives game. A bit buggy when trying to select the 'food' and a bit more 'game' would be good (just let users slice a bit more meat before starting for real, maybe collecting points when done well to pretend to have a normal game here, jeje), but what the hell, i was mightily entertained.
Now please excuse me, i am still feeling a tiny bit queasy :D
Wow, beautiful gfx + audio and the theme is very ambitious. I think a bit more variety in the choices and the outcomes would have been good, it seems like there are just two straight roads that lead either to murder or suicide. I guess you did that on purpose to underline the graveness of the matter, but personally i think less extreme points would have made ppl think even more, as i personally think the biggest problem in those situatins are the grey zones where things are not so obvious and clear, in the scenario you present the abuse is very obvious. Maybe a game with different scenes where the 'player' has to evaluate the situation more and reflect more on the actions
Nice idea, well implemented. My wrists hurt after the first few minutes though, hehe. The music was too repetitive, maybe better no music at all than a loop that is that short and repetitive. Also the Level was pretty taxing, after making one bad turn i had to start from way below, i think it is quite hard when you are not such a fast typer, maybe some diffuculty setting would have been good.
Wow, great gfx and i love the idea, a very unusual combination, i think you'll be the only one who thought of that :p I am not sure if it is my system or a general problem, but the mouse wouldn't gain focus on the game when i played it in chrome Win7-64, so i couldn't 'free look' around which made playing the web build impossible.
I looooove the idea to make 'game of life' with cellular automatons. Very interesting concept, but to make it a full game you should add some way on top of the game to influence the outcome a bit. Right now it is just setting the parameters and wait, not that thrilling. But i see potential, you just have to put another rule system on top of the cellular automaton that is influencing cells on a wider scale over a larger distance. That way you can also implement some user interactions with the running simulation. Love the music, very fitting :D
Wow, i did not expect to like this game at all, this type of game is not really my cup of tea, or at least so i thought, hehe. I found myself clicking like crazy for everybody to love me and couldn't stop until i found emmy. But i think her hot lovin' must be enough for today. Great game, very addictive once you figured out the mechanics. Nice art style, good idea with just adding xp for looking at a person :) A few things: - it would be good to have a bit more detailed explanation of how to get more ppl and more jobs - it would be great to be able to see which of the dudes is doing what, maybe with a hover info, so that it is easier to choose one for reassignement - it shouldn't be that easy to level up until level 4 with just clicking on the first action like crazy for a few seconds - maybe you should start with less dudes and get more as you know more ppl
Awesome idea, love the combination of the mechanics, nice style and setting also, sound, gfx, everything good, had fun playing it :)
I liked the art style, that could have been sth. nice :) The world is already quite big, maybe start with a smaller world next time, flesh out the game and then do more / bigger levels / world.
The controls are a bit slow, maybe faster player reaction time and movement would have been good. Mainly the reaction time when you start moving in a direction. There shouldn't be a delay then at least.
