@everyone . thanks for the feedback.
@jprogman I'm already working on a post jam version (but find myself overwhelmed with possibilities )
@victo RENE the fun in the mechanics do need to be tuned (tfuned ?)
@Demy yellow are commons, reds are also life, purple (spoiler)are distracting to the last second enemy (/spoilers) thanks for the encouragement BTW http://ludumdare.com/compo/2015/04/22/post-mortem-flowerpower/
@omiya Games thanks for the comment, thanks to you now i have a motivation surge. that sprite is almost link. those were made (not by me ) for the #FemaleLinkJam an postedn on opengameart.com http://opengameart.org/content/overhead-action-rpg-characters
<3/10 would have a heart attack again!
flawless victory!
Totes Amazes!
superb!!!!!
I took the web version down. the pc standalone version seems to show none of these issues (i suppose and i pray). thanks for letting me know of the bug :)
i'm jelly! such great job !
That was pretty great!
pretty cool!
neato!
Great!
Quite innovative!
qead didn,t work for me ...still nice game.
very good entry!
very good entry!
Working on them bugs!
This game man ... this game ... i saw myself reflected in it ... it taught me some deep stuff about myself ... deep stuff man.(I loved it !)
Weeeeeird game ... but very well made!
Excellent entry!
very sweet !
Pretty much perfect-ish design!
Here lies the foundation for greatness!
This game was scoped quite nicely. It paces itself and looks quite pretty. The integration with the story is well designed but the contents fall on the preachy side. Still, I dig it on its mechanics and atmosphere.
Tough as nails yet fair, the aesthetics were reminiscent of the olden days as were the enemies. I'll give it some more time later.
The characters where nice but the smaller parts of the picture to recollect seemed a bit forced. Found the medieval levels the most fun to play of the bunch.Good job !
This game is an excellent way to tap into the collective history of cellphone owners and a nice twist on the theme. quite nice production values. and the puzzle made a fool of myself .
Really nice game. immersive, simple and overall awesome.
I love the design and the minimalism of it all. still, hard as heck! congratulations !
Simple yet very well implemented assets.
the game looks very nice. congratulations!
This game is in my opinion well crafted with a well executed mechanical design. But damn, the mood is bleak and not to my liking (I wouldn't ask you to change it since it is your vision). good job!.
I liked the game but it needs to have a better tutorial. the design and walking animation of the main character are lovely. great job !
the game is quite a looker and runs quite nice . maybe one hit less to kill the swords ? either way very good job :)
Cowabunga, don't have a cow man! I didn't do it and so forth. I liked it. It's a nice idea .
Very nice game. That aside, i see no advantage to stop pressing the shoot button and the need for the flap mode to be the default. also couldn't understand the yellow barrier mechanic.
Very nice. but hard on the wrist.
Very complete in scope. congratulations.
@g12345 very true. it needs more nuisance the transition to the endinf screen isn't as clear I I would WAnt. There is even a chance a player misses the heart.
Very nice entry, a very functional simulation. simple and detailed, has nice ways of informing the player and even if a bit dreadful i find it enjoyable and easy to test .(i'm the kind of person that hates to see pickmin die)
You definitely nailed the scope of your game. it's simple and small yet it feels very complete (something I find myself not being able to do).
Only recommendation make the small raft like level connections a bit wider.
that was weird ... good weird .
those pistons are a-holes. the game is fun and very well put together! congratulations!
The production values are very good. but to my taste it drags a little bit. still i acknowledge balancing this type of game ain't easy. Great job.
pig/10 !
soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute! and a nice idea for a short game! Thanks! I loved it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Brutal! and nice!
glorious amounts of nope ( though to the game a resounding yes!) clever design, if it was intentional for me to run towards the house and look back to see my first spider!
a perfect little game. a delight to play!
loved everything but the game design ( but most probably because i wanted to get to the meat of the game very quickly and the game didn't seem to guide me to it . why did i die? how to look at what happens in the game and the gauges at the same time ? and other things like that ) still for the time frame it's an amazing game. ( how cool is it that you get to do the music with your band ? really cool !)
nice and funny.
haunting, beautiful simple little game. I liked it !
mechanically competent and with a nice taste of new ! liked it very much!
t'is a game to die for ... mwa ha ha ha ! so charming and understated!
you three are a well oiled gamedev machine . keep up the good work (also ... never seen rotational screenshake before)
very content extensive for such a short development time. I liked it a lot!
I liked it very much. simple and fun. perfect for a quick review ;).
but seriously, it's a very nice use of simple assets and i would love to know how to use 3d objects as emulated sprites in unity. excellent tech.
this game rules so hard. it really is the dark so... no... that's too cliché tho...(but it totally is) excellent aesthetics (and oh so very cute), and the frustrating but fair balancing ...mmmmm i plan on defeating this . it's now my mount everest . keep on the good work.
right in the feels. thanks for sharing this game. it's quite beautiful in its apparent simplicity!
totes amazeballs . if i was a more cynic person i would call bullshit on the 3 day. I'm not a more cynic person so ill just congratulate you in this feat of a game (bites lip). keep at it sir.
nailed the writing the music and the graphics ! Asset creation, management and conveying atmosphere like a boss!
@QuinnandWin @tomdeal Thanks for playing and commenting. I've seen in many testers that the dodge mechanic might not be higlighted enoug, let me know if that was the problem.
small and smart design. Good job!
Really cool! liked it very much!
quite complex and nice. i would continue playing it but is either programming in the game or programming post compo updates for the game. also the required patience of expecting for the player movements and not having a restart button for when you want to retry instantly is kind of a bummer. still, quite daring entrance!
I love the festive vibe, I haven't realized the holidays were upon us until i played this . thanks . cool (snickers) game !
that feeling when you learn to double jump but the game is over :_ ( .nice game tho!
wow ... like. just ...WoW . Nailed the theme, difficulty, aesthetics. mad respect. excellent entry
very nice. it was fair, good procedural. I got the "got to do this, ill find the exit" compulsion going on . Nice game design. (me no word good but you idea get)
You really made "the crap" out of this game (not meaning this game is crap). It has a simple mechanic and it's well explored in the levels it has. the package feels quite complete and a blessing to never overstay its welcome. you done did the compo and I envy you for it! (also thanks for controller input)
What a lovely game, just lovely (also i had never seen myself on a leader board ,so ,thanks for that ). spiders seem to take a bit to die (meaning death animation, not damage amount) at first but one learns. keep on jamming!
quite enjoyable and very easy on eyes and ears. capital work! loved what you did with the sprites stretching (in the context of the jam, its quite recursive of you. Who needs all that schmancy fancy animation when you've got no time).
You really goat me there at the end ... gitit... (I do appreciate the correct length of the game, which means it was scoped correctly, it maintains a steady quality and doesn't bore the player at all. Hurray for short games!) It was GOOD! It is GOOD!
yup, I've never played a game like this. Quite the gamble for a jam game, but nicely realized all the same. Very nice jam entry.
Compolicious. a very comprehensible little package of a game. a little bundle of joy. Kudos!
I find this game quite nice, no major complains, the story complements the gameplay and viceversa. very well scoped, very well done, Very well jammed!
Ok, hear me out, playing this game made me feel trashy Gamedev-wise. why ? because if i could describe this game in one word ... I would say it's Classy. So I look upon my trashy game library and my trashy entries in LD and don't feel so good about it (comparatively). But... I also feel a little more classy myself. See, this game is a nice case study (for me ) and example of a classy game . So, I feel compelled to make classier games from now on, and also stop being such a kiss-ass. ;P pd: loved the game.
Wonderful design, with very nice feel to it. this is great.
Production values through the roof. Very well scoped and made. Tres bien! Pro game jammer magazine. You are the cover
This game has all the chill, beautiful asset management, and a simple idea, yet, well backed by the writing and character design. Excellent compo entry.(the music should be opted out by compo law. i'm not a stickler about it but... I guess it's me that has no chill. )
cool platformer! could't find how to obtain the bee transformation. competent game, yet with a heavy heart I feel unmoved. maybe is the frustration talking. well jammed either way ( sincere thumbs up )
the idea is brilliant , its the simplification of a whole genere and i love it. the controllers get in the way in cornucopia though and that was a bummer (after other plays i found the problem is that sometimes the drag gets stuck). a frustrating bummer that could have been less of a bummer if the option to restart the level was there. overall a terrific entry .(family reunion = 5 star humor=)
the environment responds quite nicely, hope you find a direction to take the project to. well executed to the point it was made( I personally couldn't find how to unlock farms ) commendations on this and all your future endeavors!
superb, very well scoped, very polished, well formatted and measured. high marks, thumbs up. thou art a master jammer!
This game is its own thang (an a very nice thang at that), I wish i could make a game that was as much its own thang as this game is. score: its own thang/10 #HollowWatterworldEarth
@kunonooni by any means. please, any feedback is welcome. UX feedback, the most welcome.
@philomory this is the kind of feedback I can easily turn into a To Do list. Thank you very much. I'm ecstatic to read that you played it for as long as you did, since I didn't found the time (or, to be frank wasn't able to find a quick way) to balance the game. I was a bit down thinking maybe the game wouldn't found an audience since I've been out of the loop with sim and strategy games in a long while, and was ,for the most part, playing it by ear during the design phase of the game. thanks for the kind words and keep on jammin'!
@officialcodenmore @querk @huvaakoodia @smiling-cat-entertainment @poffle @ryte2byte @automatonvx @philomory @morrilet @somnium @kunonooni @neurohacker @iluvatar
dear jammers and compoers. I extend to you a plea. apparently i done did botched on without intent opting out of the graphics category so maybe you weren't able to vote for the game in the category . so I humbly plea to review your reviews and allow me to know just how pretty my ugly ducking is. thanks in advance.
thanks to @richard-michael-smith for giving me the courage to ask for this (not a direct recomendation but a reminder )
I enjoyed the game very much, but if you are going to hide something like the double beam you need to at least up the quality of life options in your game. for example: a restart button on the game over screen.
the bad thing about this feedback, though, I apparently was in the mood for punishment so the curve of learning was pretty satisfying(all up until finding out about the double beam on the comments).
besides that, the graphics were cute, the system was nice, the balance was weirdly satisfying.
Well Done
I'm proud to witness the birth of the burger defense genre. Seriously tho, nice game with a lot of potential in the idea (mix of the genre with the aesthetics). Well jammed!
I had i lovely good old time with this game, very relaxing. I can tell by the looks of it(dramatic pause ) you know how to jam!
commendations for going for vs! i wouldn't have the guts.
Delicious . i bit my lower lip in jealousy, very well done. and that little enemy. might be the cuttest enemy ever. idunno ... this is a very nice thing to play in ldjam. I congrate you on you entry!
Is the fact that you made te compo and i made a jam game proof that you are the evil gamedev twin or maybe is the other way around ? either way you made something i'll admit is a bit more fun that what i made, its much more easy to discover each thing, it has better uI. you just bested me in every regard. I admit defeat, but I'll be back, stronger next time. So don't let your guard down . or it will be you who will be drowning in tears next ludum dare. to you good sir or madame . I say good day.
I dug the game, i think the idea is nice, but my brain always took me in the direction to have the only option to go to the depths of space (lose ) maybe the planet babies should let you rotate a bit more (not a best case scenario my play-through) i still cheated (or felt like it ) and found alternative routes (kudos on that regard) . The r to reset should go in the main screen or use boundaries to reset. otherwise enjoyed the experience , nicely jamd!
my game is a bit like this ( an another bit not like this) . your game has very nice presentation, and the idea is nicely presented and executed.
Simple concept, great execution, cool tunes. keep on jamming! also got bro-freeze (browser freeze and music on loop)
This seems like the start of something good. nice gravity, nice resolution , a hint of a cool game play mechanic. Hope it goes all around swell for ya!
This game is barfalicious(if you play it too enthusiastically, which is hard not to cause its quite pretty ). its assets are nice and the idea is very good. ill try the afterld version latter if possible. commendations and keep on jamming.
... , you guys ... really... made it. this is an extremely nicely realized idea. just , wow. this has heart and fine work mixed into it. kudos times a million.
Well made, much balance, so game! keep on jammin'!
Simply lovely.
that last quick ball .... i hate that ball . couldn't find how to beat it. still capital level design. only major problem I found is that the friction when jumping and hitting a wall, while "realistic" can be very frustrating. Nice compo entry!
the camera moving suddenly is a very big ergonomic no no in my book ( no saying you botched an easy thing it just a thing that didn't let me play the game as much as the quality of the rest of the game pull me to ). besides that i like the idea and the execution, good asset management and scoping(gamedwise). very well jammed!

We need controller support asap! cus this gud game needs to be played by 2 (i cannot right now but i will)(it it's possible, please @ me in a message when you announce it ) loved the game, keep on jammin'!
did a Cabbage only run 'cus was to afraid to miss on the generation of sheep (didn't know it needed cabbages). It's a 5/5 survival 'cus I was afraid to die, and being this cute character, I wanted tu survive. loved the graphics and the feel so I could overcome the gameplay being a bit bland( a faster pace or way to fast forward once you are doing the same thing over and over would go a long way instead of re-balancing the whole thing ). just frigging loved it either-way! congratulations, this is capital work! and now, I see. the spoiler.
Deliciously to the point, and pretty well executed(emphasis on pretty and cute) ;P. A post jam countdown version would be worthwhile. or randomly generated levels (dumb ideas like these need time, I know, just saying) Keep on jamming!
Nice idea for a game, now to explore the possibilities of how to make it more enticing! good luck and keep on jamming!
Never stop jamming! hope that ,as bare bone as it is, it will help you become a better gamedev!
this game garnished a solid 3 in all regards, but now that i see compo ... i feel like a judgmental a-hole. still, i wish i could come up with an idea this simple and well executed in such short time. so thanks for teaching me the value of not being quick to judgment. and commendations on such a sweet compo entry. Well jammed sir/madame , well jammed , (slow clap)
well made and terrifying(but if you are terrified is just proof that you haven't lost your mind...maybe ).
something tells me i did the right thing by playing it on easy, but there is joy to be had if time was aplenty in the later difficulties, jolly good show! very nice graphs !
http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-PrvQzCwG63k/T2Z9fpQ-OOI/AAAAAAAAA1o/iGzc2P7v9MY/s1600/friday-damn-gif.gif standing ovation and junk! really nice.
pushing down is a bit finicky with a xbox360 controller tho.
My only complaint is that I don't find the main action sound effect very ergonomic , but take this with a grain of salt as my ears are very sensitive and my sound system tends to to be configured wrong for that type of sound other than that(insert a comment full of support, good vives and encouragement, here ) also the design of the core of game is very good and fitting in scope for such a short timed project and that is something im not able to do as well as i would like !
@brent noted! thanks for playing ! by the way, they are good dogs brent (ill see myself out).
Nice entry. I hope the game becomes as close to the mental image you have of it as it can. persist, persevere and repeat!
Very well themed and with delightful copy and art. became bacon pretty fast, maybe politcs aren't my thang. some easy bribes or a learning curve would be nice to have the player hooked more easily! ( but that's easier said than designed and balanced ) all and all a nice entry.
this is a very funkadelic entry . keep on grooving on .
thumbs up, very nice entry. congratulations!
