Neat little game! I think sometimes it's better to aim for simpler art styles when you are pressed for time though, the models and textures don't really match up

Neat little game! I think sometimes it's better to aim for simpler art styles when you are pressed for time though, the models and textures don't really match up
Really solid work! Looks and plays great! And one of the first I've tried with a fairly good tie in to the theme. Only crit would be that the hitboxes for the spikes are a bit easy to hit which makes you die a lot of cheap deaths.
Fun game! Awesome intro! Can't believe it still has 0 reviews.
I really liked this game. The graphical effect is excellent! I must try it out some time. Didn't really understand the ending though
really neat that you made a multiplayer game!
Awesome game! Excellent tempo, and the music fits well. Fun and fast gameplay too. The problems I see are in the progression of the game. A game like this is played for beating highscores, right now it doesn't seam like the game gets much harder.
Also I like that there is a checkpoint system in a way, so that you can try going farther into the game (if it got harder it would be fun to tryout), but it also can ruin the highscore system.
A solution would be that you can restart from checkpoint if you like, but the seconds should still be reset. That way if you have 200 seconds on the highscore, you actually survived 200 seconds, not just re-tried until you got there.
And for any highscore game, a highscore list would be fun, offline or online.
Other than that, if you make the game harder and harder, it could also be fun with a few more types of mobs as you progress.
Wow! Easily one of my favorites so far! Great music, great atmosphere and a challenging and fun game. Took me a while to figure out what I was supposed to do since i missed reading it in the beginning, and some of the jumps were bit hard, but not too bad. Would be fun to see multiple worlds with a bit more to the story maybe.
Really nice and simple game, very nice graphic style! Would be great to see some more kind of platforming or usage of the light mechanic though. Keep up the good work!
dont really get it, either I survive or I dont, doesn't make a difference?
Graphic style and mood is really great and eerie. Story was really interesting, could have had some more dialog maybe to set the scene even better. Could have been some more interesting puzzles though, the current puzzle is a bit repeated so that it almost feels slow.
very impressive and well made, art and story really stand out. I really miss some fitting audio though, a smooth soundtrack that was switched with the worlds would really help the mood.
Nice game with some fun platforming and a cool story.
I think you should try and move away from gamemaker though, not that there is anything wrong with it per say, but you seam to know how to make games and I think your games would benefit a lot from it, since games made in gamemaker do have a certain cheap gamemaker shell feel to them.
crashes on startup, I have XNA4 redist and 4 framwork.. usually this happens if you use either XNA GamerServices or XNA network architecture, since it's not supported by the redist, but since I also have the full game studio installed, I dont think thats the reason
Interesting idea, really impressive for HTML5 too!
fun little game, but I agree with previous comment about the routes, and sounds were bit annoying after a while :)
Got 821 :)
Great game idea! Here are a few crits that I believe would make it better:
* Add some randomness to placement of robots, mobs and even paths if possible. Right now you can learn to routes and max out the score, making the game boring after you've mastered the routes rather than the tactics
* This is a prime example of mixing graphics for less quality. People often try to add as much graphics as they can to make it look nice. I'd rather say it's more important that all graphics blend together. Games which aim for lower graphics usually look nicer, as they can have the same quality throughout, thats why so many people go for the oldschool 8bit style, since it's doable on all assets. In this game you mix toon graphics with a detail textured terrain and sky. If you rather made verything toon shaded I think it would look a lot better.
Fun little platformer, and I just kept taking the boxes even if they never gave me anything. Since it's quite fast paced but precise, I would recommend having a slower max fall speed, that way it wouldn't be so hard to land the jumps between zombies.
really nice work, but way too short!
nice workΒ΄! it's nice to see that someone actually used the theme for something good!
Awesome dialog in this game, really funny stuff! Well done!
fun little game, love the intro story! it feels a bit impossible to get a really good score since there doesn't seam to be a way to replish health, other than that though, it' a fun, I love bomberman :D
interesting idea, and the music fits really well, it's kind of hard to feel in control of anything though, maybe it would be fun if you could control the satellite a little bit
very challanging puzzles, nice work :)
really nice, love this mechanic :)
cool game
Wow, not what I was expecting. Really moody and fits the theme, really makes you think. Good job! I almost don't want to know if the murders are real, sure feels like it.
Nice atmosphere but wasn't very challanging..
Really nice work! Fun puzzle mechanic and well polished overall, really fun when games like this have online highscores too.
Really well made game, would have been fun if the positioning had impact and that you could make several routes.. and maybe different effects like slow, teleport, etc on the rooms.
Judging from the screenshot, it's playable on the gameboy, guess you need some kind of devkit. Nice job!
Fun idea! A bit too fast tho and since pacman doesn't eat dots not much challange
Sweet little game! Really well made mechanics! Think it would be more fun if it was a bit slower movement of everything, that way you could keep track of the minions and plan attacks/traps better.. also digging is too slow. this would also be very fun multiplayer. Great job!
Fun game! Well made!
Fun little chamber, works well and nice graphic style :) would have been more fun if there was a goal tho :)
The mouse gets stuck after a while so I can't move it up or down, and the game needs some sound, other than that, great work! :)
Sorry, this wasn't fun :( Needs atleast some kind of better visuals and something 'new' to the gameplay
Really nice sneaking in your game, and great mood setter! More of a challange than mine, I wish I'd had more time to make my sneaking a bit more complex too. Being able to knife them made some parts a bit easy too though. Great job!
Looks interesting but I don't understand really what to do. I click to release minions, but the "hero" just jumps off screen the first thing he doesn't and then nothing more happens.
Cool idea! Was a bit hard to understand what to do and when I figured it out it was still a bit hard to figure out what numbers it should be.. also the typing field could loose focus.. maybe have the equations more obvious on the first levels to teach the player the mechanic :)
Great game! Fun to see an RTS too! Was really hard to understand what to do and what everything was. I think tool tips when holding or clicking on things, like saying what they do, or how long you have to wait for that upgrade would be great.. took me a while to figure it out, but I guess it works a bit like zergs in starcraft.. still only bet the first level tho, tried some of the others. Was a bit annoying that my traps killed my own units too. Great work! Very impressive!
Really well polished game! Reminds me of my game because of the style and sneaking :) Really nice graphic style and fun sneaking.
Haha great game! Really nice graphics and overall feeling! Got through like 3 gold and 10 silver guards, was a bit hard to understand when I hit or missed. Would be fun with some variation in guards or more mechanics, like jumping/blocking/etc.
Fun idea and nice graphics :)
Good tutorial! Very challanging which is fun! but maybe a bit too hard :S Was hard to aim since everything was so small, and the player moved too quickly and got stuck, so it was hard to navigate through tight spots.. and often got shot from bullets which I hadn't seen yet.. Overall very fun! Would be great with some audio.. got to level 7 and got a crash :S Nice work! :)
Great platformer and the tiny feel to the whole experience. Would be fun there was more levels too :)
Nice graphics and feel! Would be nice to see farther to get a better idea of where to go, and some sound would be nice :)
Good job! A bit hard to steal their bags and not loose health..
Looks like it could be really neat with some more polish and some audio :)
Great game! Very fun, polished and hard to master.. a bit hard control scheme, I think it may be easier if the rotation was changed by a mouse cursor (in direction of mouse)
Pretty sweet that the game has online highscores! Not very obvious that it does tho.. For anyone playing this game press SPACE after typing your name to see global online highscores! :D
Nice lemmings game :) Should be able to get more goats without resetting all objects.
Fun idea! Grabbing bottoms is awesome! wasn't much of a challange/gameplay/goal in it tho, and should have had some really wierd "weeee" sounds when making them fly or something.
Really nice game! Nice with some point and clicks.. Controls were a bit weird, and hard to know where you can go..
Really well polished, good mechanic and challanging puzzle s.. didn't really fit to to just add the theme though imo, I think it would have worked better with another theme, just having magnets or something.. but not your fault the theme was as it was.. great job!
Looks promising! Really want to try this game.. cant get it to start tho, just get a black screen for half a second then it shuts down, any help?
If you get caught in light too long, you get caught, sadly there the AI stops slightly to early sometimes which makes it easy to avoid them. Will be working on a version with more challanging AI :)
Press space or enter or esc to go to next dialog :)
Thanks for all the positive feedback! :) Working on a more polished version with a few more maps and bug fixes :)
$wzl thanks! sure send the link to this page :)
Nice job on this! Impressive for 48h of work!
Great game! Good difficulty level too, took me like 20 minutes to beat, which is perfect! Would be great with some lines of dialog from some of the hostages/guards while running by maybe..
Only bug was that the game starts lagging like made after a few attempts, had to restart it a bunch of times.
Really well made overall! Would have played the shit out of this game as a kid.. I wouldn't use the shift key tho since it activates sticky keys popup in windows/browsers.. also would be good to have some limit to how many times santa can see you while smashing a package before game over, so it's more of a challange :) Nice job!
Nice job! Really like the style and mechanics, not sure that the goal is tho.
Best music ever! Fund game too, could have played long thanks to the music if there was just a bit more to the game.. jumping to avoid projectiles maybe?
Great game! Got to 67 on my first try.
Great game! Best made one I've seen so far. Great polish and overall work! Would be fun if rpg was AOE, shotgun did much at close range and was AOE too :)
Fun platformer and great teleporting mechanic! Challanging which is fun! Maybe add some checkpoints on the big levels or make the early ones slightly easier. Was a bit hard to feel precision in the jumps, and would be good to be able to let go of jump for a smaller jump to avoid electricity ceeling. Got some kind of crash on the tutorial level too when I teleported by some wall.
Really nice idea! Can't believe I haven't played a game like this before. I think done right this could be a real hit, if there is a proper challange and decent learning curve.
Some problems tho. I didn't quite get the logic at first, so I just randomly pressed cables and turns out I beat 13 levels in a row just spamming the cables along the center line and didnt loose once and eventually got bored. Also the beep sound was quite annoying.
Wow! I can't begin to say how impressed I am by this! The graphics! The Audio! The mood! The story! The references! The progression! The platforming! The ending! WOW! 5/5 all categories here. Simply lovely entry, so glad this is Jam because I would have no chance against this if it was 48h! :D Great job guys!
Only crit would be that the platforming was a bit slow paced, but I guess it fit the mood perfectly too.. I was a bit stressed when I started playing too. Awesome job guys!
Really great game here! Nice job! Great graphics and challanging game and great music! Really hard tho, but that I like!
Probably my favorite entry so far! Really great game, fun mechanics, great progression, length, graphics and amazing music! Good job!
Beautiful and well excecuted little game! Solid graphics and polish overall!
Amazing audio entry!
Really beautiful game, graphics are exceptional but I guess that is to be expected when using UE3, but still it requires good artist to make it beautiful. Nice job! :)
Easily one of my favorites! Excellent platforming and fun mechanics! Strong 5 star on innovation and fun! Impressive amount of levels too, great job!
Really great game in all aspects! Great music, progression, variation, balance and ending! Great job! A bit similar style to my own entry in a way :)
Really nice entry on mood and innovation! Never thought I'd play a game about drowning. Looked so simple but delivered really nice!
Nice game and fun action!
Really fun idea and nice game! Difficult to control so many roots at once!
Good job on this.. I thought the intro was a bit long for a very short gameplay, then it got stuck after I landed once. I like lander games like this, would have been great if there were multiple levels with different challanges.
Great job! Probably the best use of theme of the games I've seen so far. This was a really fun little game. Great pace and puzzles. I think it would have been nice if holding controls would keep going in that direction with a 100ms delay or something. Btw I beat the last level without using any of the holes on the right side :)
Looks promising and fun! But I think it's difficult to get many people to really play it when it requires 4 people.. You should really have added a basic AI for people to be able to test it solo, it does look really fun to play 4 people sometime.
Fun concept and nice graphics :) Think this could do well as a smartphone game :)
Beautiful game and excellent story! Good job!
Great style and graphics! Lovely game!
Really well made graphics and feel! Great isometric graphics! didn't quite understand what the goal of the game was tho.
Great entry, scary even with so few pixels! :)
Lovely idea!
Really nice game! a bit hard to understand exactly what to do from the start
Nice game but music got annoying quick :)
Interesting game but it was hard to understand the mechanics, maybe a bit more UI helpers to better understand what did what.
Fun game I love typing games, too bad there was no real ending tho? (right?)
Nice platformer and fun little puzzles! :) Good job!
Simple yet fun! A bit much HP as these types of games should be set to a bit more difficult so that highscore is precision and not endurance :)
Cool world and nice game! Would be a lot more fun with less slippery movement.. and was a bit difficult to know where to go in the space level.
Really well made! Nice graphics and audio overall. I always like good pixel art! I feel the movement was a bit slow for a game where you need to go forward and back a lot, but other than that great work! :)
Nice game, could use a bit more polish, gameplay reminds me of my own entry! Would be fun if the difficulty increased as you went down, a bit to easy at the moment.
Really nice overall! Good controls, feel and music, nice job!
Really well made entry! Great graphics, mechanics and game progression!
Great entry! Top notch for mood! Way too true! Only unrealistic part is the ending, most people just dream about change but never really get there.
Nice little game, nice graphics and overall feel! :)
Really well made overall! Great graphics and idea and presentation! A bit short but thats usually a good thing in LD. Great work!
Nice entry! A bit hard to judge the distance and know when to jump in the beginning
Really nice entry! Good graphics sounds and overall quality of the game! A bit difficult in resources when you die.
Really nice artwork!
Nice game and idea! A bit hard to grasp the concept immediately tho on the rewind mechanic.. and the jump height seems to be different each jump
Solid game! Great progression with the upgrades :)
Really nice graphics and overall presentation! A bit difficult to understand what to do tho.
Really nice game! Nice mechanics and really fun! I don't know if it was intentional but the background was almost completely dark which made it near impossible to see any bats..
I also made a game inspired by spelunky as I've clocked around 150h of spelunky last few months..
Fun and challenging! Good work!
Fun and challenging and Good presentation!
Good platformer and nice reverse gravity mechanic :)
Really nice work overall! Should be some type of blinking warning or something when it's very close :)
Really well made overall! Got stuck after becoming an idiot tho, and couldn't move through a wall which wasn't there, not sure the mechanics were really explained well enough.
Really nice graphics, I thought the movement was a bit too fast which made the game a bit too hard.
Nice game and addicting gameplay, would really help with some sound! :)
Really well made little game and lovely pixel graphics! With some sound and story this could really go a long way! Enemies moved a bit fast and with unlimited ammo I ended upp just spamming missiles all the time to survive.
I agree with the post about FPS games.. this should almost have been put together with a quick mindless shooter for 10 secs where you manage to kill a few hundred incoming soldiers.. and then go to this screen, could have quite the effect.. this is a bit similar to http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-29/?action=preview&uid=33841
Funny game! Kinda doubt you made all that content yourself tho :P
Fun idea but a bit difficult because of the controls, and not enough feedback and what does or doesnt work.. for example couldn't get the usb drive to work on the PC, atleast I didn't notice anything that happened.
Background was a bit too dark to see the holes in the ground, great start tho! :)
Nice game! was a bit easy to get lost tho
Really promising game, nice mood and presentation! You could move outside of the "world box" tho, and when I finally found an exit (I think) it just turned white and nothing more happened?
Really nice game and suthing music, nice job!
Fun concept and well made! Some music and UI would help a lot :) And maybe more feedback when you hit a demon.. it was also really difficult to aim so I ended up just spamming arrows :) Good job overall!
Really pretty graphics and nice with the turn based gameplay :)
Nice game and music, but quite hard :)
Fun game overall! A bit difficult to move around the ship in the beginning.
Nice mood! Lovely game!
Really nice game! Was almost about to give up as I didn't see the point until I realized what it was. Genious! I got my girlfriend to join up and we found a staircase together, then we made a smiley face on the next level and found another staircase, hopefully nobody will ruin it too much :) Great job overall! One of the best entries so far, definitely top on theme! :)
Really spooky game, well done!
Nicely built world and overall game! Impressive with such a 3d world, would be fun with some jump and platform mechanics. FOV of camera is a bit extreme. Seems a bit impossible and tedious to collect 1000 items tho :)
Funny with the voiceover! Good work! :)
Looks really promising and great graphics, but I get stuck on edges here and there and not sure how to open chests? Could really use some music and sound effects too :)
Nice style and game! But really frustrating to start from the first level when I died
Great game in many ways! Really fun mechanics! Would be nice to see some kind of end screen with score etc to have some highscore to beat
This is what those moody stars are for, wow! First impression was a bit slow, but it really picks up and it's impressive what a the right text and some sound can do.. Really difficult to play actually. Nice job, hard to rate as "fun" :O
Really wierd but a nice game, good job! :)
Nice atmosphere! Maybe a bit confusing to what was going on :)
Really nice game but gets hard way to quickly with the hard jumps.
Really great mechanics! Should have had a clear goal, some music, sound and story and this would be a great game! Also the lighting when underground isn't centered on the player when close to the edge of the map.
Nice idea and nice style! :)
Really interesting and well made! I like how way too many thoughts fly by without being able to think them through, just like the real situation. I like games where you can't see past the "ai" logic at the first glance, it gives you the feeling that it's not just a code logic but that there is some intelligence there.
Really difficult and great in it's simplicity! I tried so many times but couldn't manage to land, feels impossible when the bottom layer is a high speed layer. Great job!
Really fun! Always nice with some gambling :) Got $40
Solid entry and fun mechanics :) Love the style!
Nice concept and fun game! Lighting could be a bit wierd at times.
Link is dead for both Web and Windows
Really cool idea! Awesome missile launches! Bullet time felt more like lag tho, should be smooth.. post-compo edition fixes a lot of the issues so really nice work!
Nice packaged game and good sound!
Fun idea and awesome to make a Oculus game, too bad I didn't have one to test the game, should have connected the mouse to look around for those who didn't have oculus.
Really well made game and overall eary feeling of the the entire game.. except that it's damn annoying to be doing chores like this in a game, especially when it's watering 14 plants where you gotta go fill water each time.. and no real payoff in the end either, not sure if that was what you were aiming for, but I think it would be more fun if the tasks felt a bit more meaningful and less repetetive.
Nice presentation and game! movement was a bit to smooth for my taste
Nice work! Fun little world and good graphics :)
Great entry overall! A bit difficult with no real warning with cops coming, and frustrating to start over from the beginning. Great presentation and impressive in just 48 hours!
Really fun concept and really well executed, good job!
Really nice graphics and presentation, seems to have a lot of potential but not sure what the goal is.
Nice job really good looking game :)
Nice game overall :) Green fish have exact same movespeed which makes them a bit frustrating to chase.. and graphics could be a bit more polished but other than that nice job!
Nice job! A bit hard to figure out what to do but there is a lot of depth to the game mechanics.
Nice presentation and idea, but could use some polish :) Also for pixle graphics I believe you shouldn't mix different resolutions (ie. all pixels should be same size).. I see this all to often these days (rotating pixels is also a no-no for true pixelated style)
Nicely made, could have been a bit harder :)
Thanks for the positive comments :) There are a few bugs with the highscore server I didnt have time to test enough during the 48h sadly.
@Neonlare: I figured I'd make it easy and automatic to enter highscores so that everyone would be entered.. it's based on your PC network name, so if you want you could change that in windows :)
@runvs: Not sure why it would crash if you have the framework installed. It may require a DirectX 9 graphics card and a graphics card with support for Shader Model 2, other than that I would think it should work. Hope you get it working!
The map actually does generate at higher difficulty the deeper you come. I didn't want it to always have a 100m of easy map since that makes it tedious to beat highscores.. but maybe could have made it just a little bit easier early on, didn't really have much time to fine tune it.
copain, I think it crashes because your PC name uses a foreign letter (like Γ₯Àâÿüýà etc) I will fix this in a post-compo edition, until then you could just change your PC name to avoid thid crash.. computer properties-change network name
Also there is a bug which unlocks all artifacts, I'm trying to fix this too
Thanks! I've made a post-compo version now which fixes better stalagtite collision, you can also look down and change highscore name and lots of other small fixes (I kept bombs when dead becaus its funny)
If any old players would like their top 10 name changed just comment here and I can change it.
Really like the minimalistic style and idea! I couldn't get the seperate above/below controllers to work tho.. it always did the same above and below.. maybe it doesn't work well with international keyboard layouts? Great job!
Great entry! Fun and challangengin enemies and nice controls. Could use some music and variation of the level. Intro seemed a bit rushed too, but great work overall! :)
Really sweet game! Awesome graphics sound and concept! Not sure if I completely understood.. would be cool if the different elements did different things to certain types of terrain, and maybe didn't work with some.. (ie earth+water would turn sand into forest.. earth doesn't do anything to a missile in forest, etc)
Really great entry! Best graphics I've seen so far and suiting music, and gameplay was great too! There should be a way to sell existing rooms tho when a certain type of customer comes along for a room I don't have and I don't have enough cash to both dig and buy that room
Nice entry, I loved the style and presentation, but a bit hard to get into without any type of graphics representation on the screen.
Really fun game you made here and nice music! With some polish, graphics and effects this would be completely awesome! You should check out my game I've got online highscores too! :) http://www.ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-29/?action=preview&uid=3933
Really impressive! Great presentation and overall feeling!
Fun idea and nice pixel graphics! :) A bit difficult tho, there should be something to build which speeds up cooldown times maybe.
Really nice and unique idea! A bit more polished graphics and sounds would have make this really nice!
Really sweet little entry! Great graphics and mood, nice job!
Fun game! A bit slow start and would have done good with a bit more variation in the chasing enemies as they all get stuck in a pile pretty quickly.
Graphics look really nice but the stearing felt a bit off, I just ended up flying around and upside down.
Great start, could be a really fun game but sadly no real goal or challange.
Really nice backgrounds graphics and fun game! Game was a bit too easy and short, and sound effects could be a bit better :)
Really well done entry and challanging, nice job! A bit frustrating to get killed far in tho an not always sure what is shooting at you.
Nice entry! Was a bit hard to understand exactly what was going on at first, but then I got the hang of it. Could have been fun to see a graphic representation of each crewmember walking around the ship.
Really difficult to know what was going on.. Interesting story for the theme, but it could use a bit more game to be a game.. one time it was just text and then the menu came, the next time I moved a marble quickly then menu again.
Hard to understand what the goal was, but I think there is potential if taken further :)
I beat the game, woho :D Fun platformer since it's so challanging! Love the insane jumpspeed :D
I died very quickly and it was difficult to have time to get something on each level before having to rush to the next. Fun game tho! :) Nice job!
Really cool project! I couldn't get away from the dock tho. I tried the dock release and the controls but I was stuck.
Nice job :)
Spooky, nice moody entry :)
Nice idea and execution, but the character got stuck after a while and couldn't continue.
Great entry! Really fun and well made! fun and challanging mechanic.
One of my favorites so far! Maybe winner in fun! :) Really nice platformer, machanic is so simple but so fun and really challanging. Great presentation and challanging levels, nice job :)
Really cool idea and nice music and graphics, really fun game! Only problem I see is that it was there is no time limit, it makes the best strategy to just form a queue and wait for the ghosts to go ahead. Really awesome job tho :)
Great idea and fun! Could use a bit better graphics tho :)
Good platformer with fun mechanic, got stuck after I got 3 skills.. nice job!
Cool concept and style, but gets a bit repetetive after a few stages. Would be fun if there was more of a challange than just moving the guys, maybe have platformer for more interesting challanges and have switches to open doors for other dudes so you need to synchronise and think in which order to do things.
Sorry Foofur, forgot to mention you may need to install XNA redist, it's in the rar file.
Sorry SpringPowered, I can change it afterwards if you like, just tell me to/from what. Your computer name is shown at the title screen which is used for online highscores, didn't have time to make it changeable.
Yeah the randomess does add some inconsistency, but for this I think it's ok. It's a bit like Spelunky with the randomess I guess, sometimes you get a good run and sometimes not, it adds a bit to the excitement :)
Can't play sadly, light blue screen and nothing happens.
Really nice graphics and style! I really like the overall feel of the world :) A bit slughish movement made dying really annoying since, especially since you have to retake the same stars again.
Nice game :) like when the controls are responsive like this
Fun idea even tho theme was a bit much.. movement was a bit slughish and it was very difficult! Nice work overall tho! Also don't put 4 builds in your folder, it gets to be quite a big download for an LD game
Wow! Top notch entry! Really awesome job guys.. Really entertaining and fun, feels like a bit like the stanley parable :)
I love this game! It's so simple, so well done and so much fun, great job! Maybe could have been a bit harder earlier, after having played to wave 20 on my first try it seemed a bit much to start over again.. if it was more of a challange earlier on it would be more fun to try and beat your own highscore.
Really nice game overall but a bit too difficult, I'm all for difficult platformers but some areas were just too frustrating so sadly I couldn't finish it.
Awesome game, had a great time playing on official servers with devs last night. Really fun mechanics and was nice to see that they intend to make an updated version. Gonna save this for LAN parties, I think it would be great fun if your around 10 players :)
Looking forward to that patch, how is it coming along? :)
Suggested important features which shouldn't be too hard to implent:
Name over player
ingame chat
win/loose text
scoreboard with player names and number of wins/losses
jumping (possibly not able to shoot while jumping so it doesn't get abused and turn into quake, should mainly be for messing around and exploring the map)
Really cool graphics and audio integration! It was a bit difficult to attack without just tanking damage, would have been more fun if there was a way to avoid attacks and attack to make for more of a challange.
Very impressive! Great and uniform graphics and addicting gameplay, nice job! A bit hard to steer from that camera angle, but that was half the fun!
Wow really great entry! Great humor and gameplay and execution, and it was really fun! Good job! :)
Great execution and overall experience!
Really pretty graphics and nice execution, movement could be a bit more fluid and levels could be designed so you couldn't get "stuck" so often when you run out of crystals. Nice job!
Incredible game! I can't express how much I love your entry. This is my favorite LD entry of all time. Perfect setting, story, gameplay, progression, music, sound, mechanics, length, ending, EVERYTHING. Amazing job guys! I'd kill for a full length game in this exact manor, but it would be hard to keep the atmosphere for a full length game too, so that is a challange. Keep up the awesome work guys. 5 stars all the way!
Only a few crit for improvement:
* A too bit floaty movement
* For newcomers, there are some spots where it's easy to get stuck and they may quit, I'd suggest early in the game atleast offer a few "notes" as tips scattered around the map as tutorial.
Sweet little game and nice presentation!
Fun idea and nice music, but I got stuck several times and it was very hard to hit the lights
Really nice concept and presentation.. At first I thought the first island was the goal and tried many times to board it in some way until I realized that the map was much larger.. Really nice job!
Thanks for the input. I definitely should have made the difficulty curve a bit easier, as usual I was stressed in the end and it ended up being balanced after my own typing skills plus that I had been playing it all weekend, which usually isn't the best idea :D
Thanks mikeureko! That's awesome :D I'm definitely going to try and beat your score. Sadly the highscore server is down at the moment, I'm going to get it up and running again as soon as I can.
Sorry for the downtime but highscores are up again since a few days ago! Damn mikeureko really beat that highscore hard! I doubt anyone will be able to beat him soon :)
Really nice graphics and music merge, a bit hard to understand the mechanics of the game but when you got the hang of it it was great! Would have been nice with some basic AI for playing alone. Good job!
Awesome game! Was really difficult in the beginning tho :)
Haha crazy and fun idea, nice job! :)
Cool jetpack and bombing mechanics, nice job! :)
Nice job, I think it would could be really cool if the other weapons worked a bit better :)
This is everything thats wrong with LD.
Really nice work! Great arcade feel and overall presentation!
Cool start, you really need to zoom out to be able to play the game, and it started lagging a lot when you spawned a lot of enemies.
Nice looking game! A bit difficult to know when attacks will hit or not, and what do you do when your all out of attacks?
Haha wow that was wierd, really fits the theme I guess! Nice job
Wow awesome start! At first I thought someone went and abused the LD submissions, great little story, would be great with some music maybe :)
Freaking awesome idea man, nice job! Would have been great with a bit more game mechanics tho :)
Really nice mechanic and gameplay and minimalistic art style, nice job! :)
Very impressive game! People thought my game was hard but this is a whole different level, very unforgiving, but I like that!
Nice work :)
Nicely done!
Very impressive game! Beautiful graphics and nice concept, great job! :)
Really nice graphics and overall feeling, could do with some kind of death tho :)
Great use of the theme! There are some good classics-reversed like this and I love them!
Nice atmosphere! When the master arrives and screen turns black it wasn't really obvious that the game was over.
Game is truly awesome! Nice work!
Haha awesome graphics and humor in this one :)
Cool idea and fun sneaking levels :) Would have been great with some sound
Wow nice job! Very beautiful backgrounds, and gameplay hit the head on the nail with the theme, and humor was great!
Very nice overall and great simplistic style!
Really disturbing and spooky, nice job! :)
Really nice work! Solid graphics audio and game mechanics. Except I didn't really feel punished for making mistakes and I didn't die even tho I got shot probably 20 times, could be a bit more of a challange :)
Man! Awesome game! I really love typing games for some reason. Can't believe they removed it from Crimsonland for the new steam version.
Only critique is the slow difficulty curve. Probably played for 30mins on my first try, should get harder a bit faster.
Also, online highscore is a must for a game like this! That would make me save this and come back year after year to stay in the top 10!
147.637. Wave 14.
Really nice menus and style, but I thought movement was a bit too slow
Fun theme concept :) Would be more challanging if mouth was always open and a bit slower turn for example, so it's easier to accidentally eat the red cookie.
Fun them concept :) Would be more challanging if the mouth was always open and a bit slower turnspeed for example, so it's easier to accidentally eat the red cookie.
Looks very nice and promising, too bad it's unfinished :)
Fun mechanics and nice take on theme, good job! :)
Nice reptile model, would be fun with some score/goal and timelimit or something, and some sounds :)
Man really nice work on this. Great art, style and sound! Gameplay was really fun too and great setting!
Great graphics and cool idea! Great details around the edges :) A bit slow on the movement.
Very fun strategy to this game and fits the theme well!
Nice polish overall! fairies had a bit simple movement and the last 6 fairies where outside of the screen so I couldn't kill them :(
Really nice and challanging mechanic, nice work! :)
Really nice planetary physics and game progression with cutscenes.. as you say too bad no sound and music, really felt like it was missing. Nice overall game tho, but how come first and third shots are super easy and second one is near impossible? Took me like 30 tries :D
Simple yet fun concept, would be nice if it was a bit more to the mechanic tho, like having inverted numbers, multiplication, etc
Very fun concept! I was a bit dissapointed to see colored pixels when I choose an black and white image as I thought I was shooting the actual pixels.. and the control of the ship was a bit slugis.
Nice idea and graphics but very difficult to get the stars to the sun
Really good strategy and mechanics and nicely done overall! A bit annoying tho he guy got stuck in corners easily and then I had to restart completely. Very nice work tho! :)
Great take on the theme and nice execution and mood, good job! :)
Cool 3D shadows/view!
Nice job guys! Really nice artstyle and feeling! A tip for 3d platformers is to add a simple shadow straight under the player, that way it's much easier to get a feeling of depth and land those difficult jumps. Cheers!
Nicely done!
Very nice little game! Great feel and very well polished, nice job! :)
Very nice work, nice graphics and mood and challenge!
Very nicely done! Great graphics!
Beautiful idea! It's nice in it's simplicity, but I'd like to see some type of more challenge in it to get a score or something :)
Nice game and nice music.. was a bit bad to use shift keys because of sticky keys on windows.
Very impressive! Surprisingly fun even tho I'm not too fond of card games, and art and UI animations were fantastic!
Great feel and polish! Was really challenging until I realized I couldn't die, which was a bit of a letdown. Was it intentional?
Nice game but very hard!
Really nice graphic style and music, was a bit hard to understand how to play but I got the hang of it eventually :)
Really nice entry! Solid game and mechanic! Really feels like it could be a full proper puzzle game for both mobile and PC if it had a bit more.. such as seperate time/moves unlocking of levels.. check out the game "Cogs"
Cute graphics and nice feel! Wish camera could go faster if I moved faster tho :)
Beautiful idea and take on the theme.. would be awesome if all trees were saved and you you got to see a forest full of all creations at the end.
Great game! I've seen a similar idea done before but it was still very well made, and awesome take on the theme :)
Amazing mood and music! Really pretty graphic style too, the plane was a bit difficult to control
Beautiful style and great game!
Really nice game! I reached 6890.. started lagging after a while when I was high.
Great game! I got 3080! Will rate after I submit our Jam entry :)
Really fun gameplay mechanic and overall presentation, nice work! Got 566!
Very nice concept and well made game!
Nice game! A bit of music would be nice, and it was easy to get stuck on rocks.
Really nice game! Almost got bored quickly as it seemed so easy, until the game really took off and got harder and harder. Really nice boss fight feel like classic videos games had.
Really nice entry! Took me a while to figure it out, actually I had to read others comments first.. it's super obvious that sticks are bad (even though you wrote it in the start) and it's a bit hard to avoid green drops since they dont immediately look evil either. Was fun and challanging tho, online leaderboards would make it addictive! got to 2864 :)
Extremely beautiful game in many ways! Nice job! Would have been nice with multiple levels/streaks as completion was quite fast.
Really nice graphics, mood and music!
Wow! Very nice artstyle and mood you've got going here! Was a bit hard to understand gameplay without reading comments tho.
Haha fun theme, a bit similar to our entry in gameplay :)
Hey man, awesome game! I probably played 45 minutes. Really great start and could have been superb if you had some more time. Was surprisingly fun even tho there was so little. A bit of audio, more options and difficulty would really help, but it seems you know a lot of what you need to do.
Got to 800 moves and got bored because it didn't get any harder, and also it was too slow waiting on all the pirates to move, I'd suggest making several move at the same time so that waiting on pirates never took longer than a second or so.
Here is my island: http://imgur.com/RrbFuc7
Fun little platformer!
Nice mechanic and well made game! Only annoyance was that keypress came from key "repeating"
Nice game! Very fun idea, especially in a COOP with a friend! Could be a bit more to it and increased difficulty, it's a bit too forgiving for my taste if you let go etc.
Very nice presentation! Something happened at lvl 12 and nothing more came.
Really nice game and mood! Really got a winter feel!
Very nice looking game! Fun concept but should really have had some interface and tutorial in the actual game, and music!
Nice mechanic and really cool graphics on the caveman that comes in, nice work!
Nice cat! Shows how a graphical theme can make a game fun! Imo the graphics in the background should have the same resolution as the cat (and everything else) for it to look nice together.
Haha wow. I felt like I was tripping on acid. Really nice style, I really liked the bootup!
Nicely done! A lot of content for a LD game!
Nice graphics! Didn't understand where to go after I got the colored suit.
Really nice! I love multiplayer entries, sadly I'm usually alone when testing out LD games, so it was great that this also had AI opponents. Nicely done!
Really nice work, reminds me of my entry! I really like difficult games but this one starts off as a bit too difficult imo.
Hey there, nice work on this game! I really liked the hand drawn art style, it blended together well with both the "cutscene" and the game. The game itself reminds me a lot of an old game called Elasto Mania, which was an awesome game! Nice work with several levels as well! If this had online highscores it would be even more fun!
Fun to speedrun with highscores, nice work!
Thanks for the feedback! @Odefus you really capture the entire genre in probably my best feedback ever! :)
@Ryusui. Yeah sadly you need a bit of luck to pickup some kind of weapon before running out of health and mana to have a good chance of survival. Usually this happens, but sometimes it doesn't. Balance is really a lesson for me this LD, which I'm happy for, as I usually make other mistakes and balance is something I'd enjoy working more on and should be sure to give more time for a game like this.
Can't start the game, getting this error:
404 Not Found https://storage.googleapis.com/itchio/upload2/game/81913/263143
Awesome game! If you would have had a bit more graphics and two player controller support I'd love to play this with friends in my livingroom. Music would be nice too!
I died from fall damage from jumping 3 steps down some stairs. Would jump again!
Very nice presentation! Almost felt a bit guilty when they died!
Nice style and fun game! A bit difficult to find where to go next sometimes.
Feels like this could have been a great game if you completed it. A bit hard to judge too when you don't know whats working as supposed to or not. Nice work tho, learning is what LD is about!
Nice work! Fun game and you've got a lot in there. A bit more fluid movement would make running around more fun I think.
Hahaha man I wish I could give you some votes for humor here! Lovely infinity! Controls remind me of GTA2.
Looks nice a nice game, sadly the game didn't start at all when I ran the exe file.
Really amusing little platformer! It's fun to see what the next change in mechanic is, and you got quite a bit of good ones in there. Nice work!
Very impressive music and funny little intro. Would be fun if there was more mechanics in the fighting :)
Very nice entry! Nice scene transition animations and cool ability mechanics!
Really nice overall atmosphere and polish! I had some trouble figuring out what to do at first but eventually I got the hang of it. It was a bit annoying to have to play a level from the start when I accidentally died later on tho. I think the movement could have been a bit faster to make replaying a level less tedious, or have it so you restart from the last entered scene. Overall really nice work tho!
Really nice start of a game! Wish there was more levels! A bit difficult to understand at first what was going on tho..
Wow I'm really impressed with the graphics and presentation of this game! I like difficult games, but this was way to difficult to start out with. The scrolling speed could have been slower, and increasingly harder as you go up, and the movement was too fast and could have had a bit of acceleration to make it smoother. A bit of polish and having some non-developers test this could make it really great!
Really nice visual novel! Great story and graphics too! Would really have been nice with some music and simple sound effects!
Very nice presentation and polish!
Nice work! I like that there is a global highscore, I usually have that as well :) Try having some acceleration in the movement for a more fluid feeling :)
How do I run this game? I tried running "java filename.jar" but I get:
Error: Could not find or load main class ld37-all-1.0-SNAPSHOT.jar
Got it working thanks! Very impressive shaders and suprisingly addicting gameplay :)
Really nice style and mechanics! And you got so many puzzles in there! If you had some variation in levels you could probably make a pretty cool mobile game with this.
Really nice game! Feels really complete. Only thing I'd change is a a bit of balance, early on it feels way to easy, but later on it feels almost impossible to kill them even with the last upgrade since I felt the shotgun wasn't very strong. Sadly I died at about 50%.
It was really nice music, too bad the sound effects took over a bit much.
Stage 6 145 tips. Freaking awesome game. Also the most disgusting LD game I've ever played. Nice work!
I apologize for any crashes or errors on Linux/OSX, this is my first game releasing on non-windows platforms and it's hard to find the errors as I only can run them on VMs.
$nick.bota
Please try redownloading the game now and tell me if it's working, I made a quick fix for that crash.
$antishow
Wierd bug, could you try re-downloading and trying again? Are you on keyboard or controller? Try the other and tell me what is/isn't working please.

Thanks all!
Anyone who recently downloaded PLEASE redownload. accidentally disabled all audio while trying to fix an OSX bug. There are sound effects and music!
Thanks for the feedback!
@Starlight & @Testlab & @lekiy: I'm really sorry about Mac/Linux issues, this is my first try at building for those platsforms by using FNA (XNA port) but it's not without some hickups. I have tested both on linux and mac OS and it's weird that I didn't get that lowercase error. I'll fix it and see if I can look into the sound issues as well as the crash. I really hope I don't get a low rating because of these issues tho, I really would like to build to all platforms but if people rate it low because of it maybe it'd be better to skip them until I know they work well.
@Yvanor: You can press C (Y on controller) to view recipes while playing, but yeah you need to learn them to be fast.
@indrkl: Haha huge thanks! Yeah I find myself getting stuck in just sorting and completing recipes as well :)
@Starlight: Oh ah yes I know it's a bit intrusive to use hostname, but you are free to edit your name however you wish (just type while you have selected the name box), and it's saved to the registry for next startup. I think it's the easiest hassle free way to get people in the leaderboards and makes it more controller friendly. (Sorry!)
@indrkl: Haha I saw you beat my record, I'll get you eventually! :)
If anyone would like to change a submitted name I can change all the entries under that name in the highscore database to something new, just send me a message.
@indrkl: There is a logic system that defines what is spawned, you may definitely feel that you aren't getting what you want.. a good tactic is to try to always have atleast one of everything on the floor to pickup when you need it. No orders can through that are impossible to complete, considering what has been spawned before.
10 Hat orders in a row is a lot of bad luck.. there are a few guarenteed hat orders, then for each new order chance is added to get the more advanced orders..
Yeah sorry about the linux crash (related to path of folder which some fixed manually). I just updated it to fix that crash, should work better now! Anyone got sound working on linux? I can't text it on VM.
@qFrct: I used C# & FNA which is a multiplatform rewrite of XNA.
Thanks a lot Starlight and for confirming that it's working! I'll message you if I need any more testing. And just post here if you run into any more issues :)
I came to try your game after you said it was so similar to mine. Really nice work! And yeah it's very similar haha, very fun to see! You got a lot better presentation and music tho! :) I didn't understand how to make the balls, I couldn't put a glass+ball together, or on any station and press B to convert them. I was using a controller.
For those who likes this please head over and try my game as well! (Click on my name)
Nice work!
Any tips on what to do? Only thing I can reach before being too slow are the glasses, which only removes to blur, tips?
I can't reach the door on the other side of the room at all, my speed starts to slow as soon as I enter the room and I can't even get past the sofa table.
Can't believe it took me so long to let go of the forward key and then try again. Really nice experience! Ending is a bit anticlimatic tho, or did I do something wrong? I just exited the door after being a baby and all was white.
Really nice art. Would play for free again ;)
Nice work! I really liked it.. but it was a bit hard, hehe..
Hahahaha awesome game. Kind of annoying tho, I died when the meter was about 5%, not 0. Would be cool if the meters reacted a bit more to what you did too, maybe eating would mean increased toilet but after a while, instead of just all values increasing the same.
Haha wow what a fun entry, really nice work on this one! :D
Thanks @arvejeitor ! @Anonymous: Very peculiar, all the DLLs are open source and commonly used. Would be good to know which one is being removed and what the antivirus program is reporting it as. The only thing I could imagine is if it's looking at the web request it uses to send highscore to the server for some reason.
Thanks all for your nice comments!
@rs11s21n Thanks for letting me know you feel that way. It's both for playing alone or with friends, personally I find it easier and calmer alone and I almost prefer it, but playing with friends makes it more of a crazy party game..
Really nice work on this one! Very nice pixel art and the feel of steering was really good and dogfights were a good challenge!
Nice work on the pixel art on this one! Really enjoyed playing it too and got to 1100 points. Got a black screen in the web version on chrome so had to download it.
Very nice polish and really fun to play, and a real challenge which I like. Nice work! :)
Nice work on the atmosphere and art, and it was a really fun mechanic to sacrifice body parts, I especially liked what happened when I sacrificed a leg! :D
506 was by best score. Fun to play, good job! Nice backgrounds and music too. Would have been nice with some obstances in the middle maybe :)
Thanks for all the feedback! We are quite happy with the result but we agree that there is much that could be done with the upgrades and progression, but we didn't have time to finish everything that we wanted.
@jandourek One other user has reported this black road/tracks issue and we are investigating it, it seems to be connected with the drawing of custom vertices, but seems very hard to track down, will let you know if we can get it fixed.
@thatsommes @duke No idea why it would be flagged as a virus. It's definitely a false positive. Possibly because we are making webcalls to report and read the leaderboards. We are only using opensource libraries and our own code. It's built on FNA which uses a number of opensource libraries, and a few more that are used in the codebase uses them for other projects. I can assure that you can just ignore the warnings and play the game if you want, many other LD games give warnings such as this also. If you really want you could block it with your firewall and it couldn't do anything, but you won't get access to the leaderboards.
Nice gameplay! Would be great with some sound effects and music for that really juicy feel :)
Love the style, nice work!
Haha wow that was awesome! What an experience, I was totally caught off guard. Really cool with some photograph and story and quite a creepy story, nice work!
Nice work! Nice graphics, mood and music especially :)
Nice graphics and animations, good work! :)
Very cool idea that fits the theme, quite addicting gameplay also! Would be great to have a leaderboard, I would be stuck :D
Very nice graphics and I was impressed with having an intro animation even, nice work!
Web version doesn't seem to work but I played the windows version which worked fine. Really nice work on the pixelart and animations for this one. Quite hard but fun! Love the piggy and the logo!
Very nice game. I like the atmosphere and story you build up. Its a bit easy to get lost and just wander around though, but I'm impressed you got this all done in such a short time. Great work!
Quite fun little concept, nice work!
Very nice work, love shperical world games like this! :)
Very nice artstyle and concept, nice work!
I didn't quite understand how the game works, I was stuck on the first screen. Please give a description of how to progress :)
Good theme idea! Would have been nice to see the resulting score, and the game doesn't seem to reset properly when I press again, so I needed to restart the game or I didn't start with any ammo/life. Nice work overall though! :)
Thanks for all the wonderful comments everyone! I definitely understand some people would like to use arrows to control the game, and this is something we can add for an update.
@madbarron Yeah sorry about that goldilock zone planet, there was a late bug that caused the planet limitations to not work properly so that the more specific planets could become different, will have this fixed in an update soon!
@damdoshi Wow that's amazing you want to translate it! Yeah we tried to plan out the stories to fit together but some of them are a bit different style because of different writers and we worked remotely this time because of the virus, we would edit them quite a bit in a future version to fit together a bit more. And yeah the example.json is written at startup to always be a latest correct version in case anything changed in the code, but I can have this fixed in the next update so that we can support translations, so feel free to work on the translations until then.
Sorry for the extreme delay in this, but better late than never! Several requested fixes have now been made in version 1.01! Thanks for the feedback! * You can use arrows up/down and enter to control the dialogs @sockyman @paul-nadan * Planet limitation bug fixed (so certain special planets will generate correctly) @madbarron * example.json is not overwritten on startup so you can now make your own translations and changes @damdoshi * Some typo and story value errors fixed
Wow what an amazing style! Felt great to play and the music fit perfectly. Great work!
Wow this game looks amazing! I love the artstyle, music and general atmosphere, and the idea you describe really fits the theme. There seems to be some major bug for me though, I can't get past the first dialog, I just one line from Mom saying its a busy night, and whatever I press I can't get past that. Please let me know what to do so I can try it again :) I'm trying the the unity version on windows.
Really nice job for your first LD entry and if you ware not used to making games. What you made is solid and works well, and that is much more important than cramming lots of stuff in there that feel half broken, which I see a lot. Keep up the good work and keep learning :)
Nice entry! It was quite fun to play! Nice atmosphere and difficult which I like. I found a tactic to just stand in the corner though since it's quite low chance for them to bounce into the corner. An idea to fix this would be to make them chase you if you stand still too long maybe.
I waited a long time to get a bos but eventually just all the UFOs dissappeared? Is there some kind of ending I missed?
Cool! It's simple but fun, and HARD, which is a good thing haha :D
Haha this game was pure craziness. So incredibly ugly but incredible funny, nice work and congrats on the 1st placements! :)
Very cool concept, I love command line games such as this! I missed the option to press up/down to cycle through previous commands as in many CLI when I typoed something or to make more similar commands fast. Good job!
Very fun idea! I think this would make a great 2-p versus game tbh, or maybe even 4p.. the pausing when aiming really makes it work, and very cool that you got an AI in there!
Very cool concept! I think it should be way easier in the beginning tho, it was very difficult to spot the enemies and find the correct card and direction in the beginning.
Thank you all for your comments! Yeah we are very happy we got all the voice acting in as well in such short time, it really adds a lot! @detectiveLosos Thanks for your feedback! The out of sync issue seams to be mainly in the web version. In the downloadable version its is fairly synced, but the loadtimes are higher between rooms instead, it seams the webversion loads the audio when it's played which sadly results in a lag. @honey I understand your preference in this, we chose this way to make those who have trouble with english have time to read the subtitles in their own time.. but we could definitely add it as an option to choose if you want the dialog to continue by itself. Thanks for letting us know!
@TheM we were especially happy with that line :) @Zetre definitely a bug, will put in on the list for fixed up version :)
@Zetre None of the lines I wrote were, I'll have to ask the others if they made any on purpose. Not sure which you are referring to, the urn maybe? :D
@Brendan Toy Yeah we wanted a few more puzzles in but didn't have time to make them all so some of it was a bit simpler.
@corc0 thanks for the castle find, we really tried to not have any non-clickable objects, will put it on the update list
@Annie Owl Yeah I agree that the puzzles are too easy, it's our first time making an adventure game though, and we would rather many people can finish it than make it too hard so people don't make it through, since they will be trying many games. I think the chess puzzle should be correct tho, the correct move is (spoiler) queen-two steps forward, then queen-one step right to take rook.
I'm really happy that so many people completed the game @Brendan Toy @corc0 @Zetre etc, but I'm sad you all got the dark ending.. I wouldn't say you lost tho, there are just multiple endings
Thanks all! @Reality Blind @Yetman @Cole and Jordan Studios @gdort @DjeyCreations It seems like the voice volume is one of the biggest issues people have and I'm sorry for that. We were all first time voice actors/recorders, and some of it was done with different setups, also Alidas cast got sick at the end but wanted to finish so she lay on the floor for the last of her recordings. We should definitely get this balanced out.
@Narudgi I'm so glad you managed to get it right, I think you are the first to report that you finished with the happy ending :D
@smatcher Also the moon walking is due to us not having time to finish the walk in/out animation in time. Hopefully we will get this into a post-jam version.
@Annie Owl @AdVd Thanks for pointing that out! They do look quite similar. I realized too that they did look a bit similar, but it was too late and our artist had gone home already. I'll definitely put this on the list to be fixed though.
@gdort Yeah like many Unity tools it's a bit expensive (one of the many reasons I don't like unity tbh), but it was quite a good tool for making this type of game. I guess it's a very niche tool so they probably don't have very many sales, thus the price has to be higher. If I make any more games like this tho, I'm very tempted to build my own tools for it from scatch.. but then again I'm a bit of a tool coding junkie :D
That was waaay more fun that it should have been. Really nice work! The last one was really difficult!
What an amazing idea! Really nice work, the music/story/mood fits perfectly.
Very nice graphics and interesting idea! Great work!
Very cool clipping effect and nice game! Great sound and graphics! (Instead of fishing for ratings, you should rate some more entries, you have way more than you've given )
Very fun but very hard as you say. Would maybe be better to start off way slower, and slowly go faster and faster.
Nice work! The player controls really well and I really like the artstyle!
Very cool idea and nice execution! I actually had a similar one a few years ago :D It was a bit hard to understand which machines go to which resource, it would be nice with an icon over them when passing or something, and also some sound effects and music would go a long way in this game.
That was a one spooky game, reminds me of some south korean horror films! Nicely done with the characters and backdrops!
Very impressive sound design which fitted perfectly with the theme and game. Really nice work!
Really nice graphics and polish! It was a bit difficult to read the lines and play the game but I guess that was intentional.
Nicely done! Very nice graphics and music and overall polish! And cool that you have an android version as well, I think it would play quite well on mobile.
Really cool concept here! Would be cool to work out even more commands. I had some trouble with the command input box loosing focus so I was forced to use my mouse, and F+B didn't work so I couldn't get past the second level. F+J worked tho!
Wow! Extremely beautiful game both graphics, style and execution! I really like the idea of a two player game like this too.. will have to try it out with my wife later! Even though I like the idea of it not having an end, I still think it would have more replay ability if there was some sort of end, or score to beat.. it could be fairly casual, maybe a type of "couple score", on how well you shared your resources and answered the questions.. similar to what Wii party has :) Really well done anyway, going to follow you to see what you will do in future LDs as well :)
Very nice idea and execution! Reminds me of the game Kingdom. Some music would have been really nice. I can't believe the above posters reached 100! :scream:
Awesome game! I think this is my favorite entry for the theme category, it really shows how incompatible these are but yet they make something pretty awesome. I was actually working on a similar idea a few LDs ago, but I didn't like where it was going, so I made it into a scrolling type-o-shooter instead, which didn't turn out very well either since it's so hard. If you want you can check it out on the old LD site here: http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-32/?action=preview&uid=3933
I really like command terminal games like this, nice work! Really nice mood with minimal graphics. Check out the game Duskers on Steam if you haven't already, it reminds me of that.
