I managed to get 10 points!

I've been playing this non stop for about 30 minutes....
Love it!

I liked how you played with the theme - am I wrong to read a subtext about gun control here?

Gameplay is kinda neat, and with some polish you basically have Super Box Crate. Anyway, the graphics are a little more complicated than they need to be, and I found them a little distracting. Games on here rarely have any music, so that's a plus.

Neat game.

That was a little dark for such a light hearted theme. Still it was one of the most innovative takes on the "It’s Dangerous to go Alone! Take this!" theme I have played so far.

nice work´! it's nice to see that someone actually used the theme for something good!

The anti-SuperCrateBox?

Cool concept, enemies smoked me a little hard for my enjoyment, but good execution all around. A visual feast.

I disagree a bit with mintman on the visuals (with all due respect :P) - I thought the scratchy, pseudo "drawing come alive" style fit the surreal world backdrop pretty well. The shocking background image might've been a bit over the top from time to time but the general direction was very good.

Indeed, you've managed to take the theme merely to apply it to more valid and interesting contexts. Whether its gun control in general, the meaningless violence in the world or simply jabbing at the constant stepping-up of guns in develping games it works well.

I particularly liked the contrast between a world in peace, a utopia in its innocence, ruined by the enigmatic stranger constantly proffering you weapons for no good reasons, and how otherwise benevolent (or at least passive) creatures became a threat to you once you set out to "end the violence". Thought-provoking at every turn...

If I wanted an improvement I'd mention two things in particular: mouse aiming and coop mode :) It's close to offering the same levels of addictive gameplay that Bubble Bobble was able to provide.

1.4 trillion damage! These are some OP weapons. No wonder we need to rid the world of them!

P.S. This game is a lot of fun. I'm keeping it to play again later. :)

Really cool! I found it fun and addictive, I kept playing round after round. I wish you'd included a highscore thing so I could see how far I'd gotten. Most of the times I didn't even check the score, I just tapped Enter immediately after dying. The graphics were very nice, I really liked the crayon-ish look. Music was better than no music, but it did get old after a while.

I thought the game was pretty hard, even after playing quite a few types. I think my best score was about 8 weapons. In one of the levels, there's an opening at the top in the middle but no corresponding opening at the bottom, and I got stuck in it, and that's when I quit.

I thought the story was really cool, but I was very disappointed that there was no conclusion to it. There were quite a few choices your character could make, so it was nice to have that freedom. At first I tried not to shoot any of the creatures. Later on I did shoot them but found that it didn't help much. So, was there an ending I didn't reach? I'm guessing not, but I'd certainly play an expanded version of this with a continuation of the story. Congratulations!

Btw, there's a typing error in the 4th or 5th paragraph of the intro. It's "peaceful" and not "peacefull".

There is a highscore; wait a few moments after death and it displays... Took me a while to notice...

I loved this game, possibly my favorite yet!
First, the gameplay is addicting.
The story is intriguing, I'd really like to see it develop more.
I also loved the music, I found it interesting as the world itself, and it didn't bore me at all.
The graphics were also awesome, though I agree they interfere a bit with the gameplay, so maybe some adjustments are needed, but not too much, because the general style with all those little touches was very refreshing.

The only thing I didn't like is the difficulty. My top was 10 weapons (I think), and I got that without using the gun at all (hmm, maybe that was the intention all along?), because other than the gun that shoots red dots, it seemed that the other guns didn't do enough damage to kill the creatures on their run... Also, the creatures moved faster than me, they where everywhere, and don't even get me started on those damn butterflies...
