That's rad, man. Fun game.
I have to say, that was a fun game! Great work. Reminded me of Star Control 2 - especially the secret at the end, which I purchased. I'd say it is very well hidden.
I love the concept and atmosphere, especially the way the signs change when the goggles are used. The gameplay didn't really grab me, but overall this is a cool game.
Great game! Shame about the glitch in the milkman's house - I was really enjoying it. I look forward to seeing a fixed version.
I've played the updated version, and I got further than the milkman's house. After I got sent to prison, I was back in the victim's house, and Gordon kept saying to foller him, but he didn't go anywhere. I was stuck in the victim's house.
Nevermind, I played it again and it was fine. Not sure if i finished it or not - I keep getting sent back to the start after being sent to prison.
So out of all the games I've played this LD, this is the only one that kept me interested for hours. I think that says something about this game. Well done!
The main thing i would suggest to improve it, is for it to ask if you are sure before confirming your plans. A few times I accidentally pressed 3 toward the end and had to start all over again. That was frustrating.
***SPOILERS***
I played it many times and couldn't beat it, so I ended up looking at the source code to figure out what I needed in my team to beat it. I just had to beat it.
This is what I needed in my team to win: 5 melee/ranged, 3 defense, 2 magic. From what I saw, I think that is the only combination that will win. Even knowing that, it was a challenge to get the right people at the end.
So, the game is hard, but I actually think it wouldn't have appealed to me as much if it was easier. If I beat it on the first try I wouldn't have liked the game as much.

Same problem here :(
Actually, I persisted and managed to get the game to play (by waiting several minutes for it to start), but it froze a whole lot. So much so that it was too frustrating to finish it. I'm using Vista.
Loved it! Even though it was very short, I felt drawn into the world you have created, and the time pressure really made the game. Great job.
Love the concept, but it was just too jerky when I played it for it to be enjoyable. I think it'd be a great game if it ran smoothly.
I'm on Windows Vista. I'm getting a FPS of 5-9. My computer runs well for everything else.
It was fun trying to guess what word to spell. I enjoyed playing it, even though I mostly got owned by the very first creature I came across.
Thanks! I'm glad you liked it.
***SPOILERS***
Thanks for the feedback. I appreciate it.
The level design was the rushed part so the main discovery is really easy to miss. I want to fix it up later, and I'll try and improve the scrolling and make the depth charges affect enemies.
This is what you missed: The black creature has an underground lair that you can only get to with the depth charges. In it are a few more of them and a crashed spaceship, which is my highly original way of implying that you have discovered aliens.

It's time I took you to "school" :)
Fun game. I liked it.
This is the best game ever
Cool game :). Awesome community rating from me for your post on comments and not leaving anyone behind. Really cool stuff.
Sorry man, still doesn't work :(
Hi Hempuli. I can tell you that it is definitely not harmful.
I did a quick google and some people had the same issue and got around it by simply changing the icon for their game. I've done this and re-uploaded it. As all I did was change the icon I still consider it the competition entry. Can you please try again. Thanks dude.
If that doesn't work, there is probably some way you can tell F-Secure that you do want to play it even if it says it is harmful. I don't know F-Secure at all though, so can't really help with that.
PS The score to beat is 130
Thanks for playing and for the kind comments everyone.
@Endurion: That score sounds like you might have been playing on Easy. If you want a challenge, you should check out Hard mode and try and beat my high score of 130.
@Rikkard: Damn. Nicely spotted. I close it by pressing Esc.
@Dark Acre Jack: The score meter is subtly located in the title bar. Easy to miss.
Cheers guys. You are all awesome.
Thanks dude. As long as any ship in your convoy is alive, you are still in the game. If the first ship crashes, you control the second one. More ships = more lives.
This was fun to play, but kept crashing on me after about a minute of play
"This application failed to start because OpenAL32.dll was not found."
I did see the graphics in the stuff folder though. Did you make the sprites yourself out of lego? That, sir, is pretty cool.
1.4 trillion damage! These are some OP weapons. No wonder we need to rid the world of them!
P.S. This game is a lot of fun. I'm keeping it to play again later. :)
The radio is pure WIN
This game is awesome! Loved riding the missile at the end (although I rode it everywhere else before I rode it to the right place :p). Really immersive atmosphere and a lot of fun. I liked that it was hard - still kept my interest to the end. Fantastic work mate.
I really didn't expect much from this game when I played the first level but it actually turned out to be pretty cool. For me, the really cool thing about it is that it is a one button game, and you have managed to come up with some cool challenges that just use that one button. Nice work.
I did get stuck on one level which is a room of lava with some yellow platforms to bounce off on the way up. It was pretty clear that I needed to tap up crazy fast to get there, but I just couldn't tap fast enough. Damn it. I think it would be cool if I could check out the other levels even though I couldn't beat that one. Some games let you have one or two free level skips that you can use to pass a hard level (Elastomania is one example of a game like this). Something like that might work well with this game.
I thought the soundtrack was funny, especially the bits where you sounded like you were running out of breath. lol. My favourite bit was the bit where you went 'beep beep beep beep.'
Nice one mate.
Cool game. Liked the look and feel of it. I couldn't work out how to get more resources though so I didn't get very far.
Good work on finishing a game. Just managing to do that is a pretty cool achievement. The next challenge is to make it fun. To be honest, clicking on the ground until you find something isn't really fun on it's own. What this game was missing was some sort of challenge or 'fun factor'. Maybe some puzzles would have worked well with this game. Good luck on your next game. I'm sure they'll keep getting better and better.
Hi. It looks interesting but I wasn't really sure what to do. I managed to get the guy to kill some baddies but that was it. Looks like you have made some good progress towards a cool game but just need to finish it off.
Yay I won! Cool little game. I would have liked my gun to charge a bit quicker, but other than that it was cool. Nice work.
I liked the voice acting. It looks like the game wasn't finished. But it is a nice taste of what I'm sure would have been a fun adventure.
That was totally sweet! Nice work, man.
I just tried to play and it on a 64 bit Windows 7 PC and got the following error:
Debug Assertion Failed
Program:When Worlds Collide.exe
File: D:\Applications\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\vc\include\vecor
Line: 932
Expression: Vector subscript out of range
Thanks AG, that did the trick. Cool game. The destruction was fun and looked good. Smashing stuff is always fun!
Wow! That is an excellent game. I thought it was a lot of fun, was well polished, and I haven't seen a game quite like it before. Nice work.
This game looks great and I love the thumping heart sound effects. I think the game is done well it just needs a bit of balancing and maybe some more variety / challenge. Nice work.
I couldn't play this game on Windows 7 64bit PC. When I open it, it goes full screen and shows the title screen with the dragon. The whole screen then goes completely black. Esc does nothing so I have to use Ctrl+Alt+Del to close program.
Have tried restarting, running it in Windows XP compatability mode and as administrator. Also, tried running it with 'Disable Desktop Composition' ticked on the compatability tab in Windows 7.
I checked the Windows error log and found the following error:

I played it on my Windows Vista PC and it worked fine.
This game had an incredible atmosphere. I loved the feel of it, especially the eerie music. The story was cool too. Great work.
That was AWESOME!
Fun game! Love the expressions on the planet's faces.
It's like a music video. Awesome.
that was really cool
really cool little engine. i was totally expecting you to use it to tell an epic story. but nope, you told a super epic story with it. nice.
how very pretentious
radical
Awesome. My guy worked a little bit each day then just practiced flips on the lawn until it was time to knock off. You'd think it would be a bleak world with so may people starving to death in their appartments, but nope, this is a bright and cheery game. Nice work Sos.
lol just realised that if you never eat and never work you can never starve to death. It's the working that really kills you.
This is SUPER FANTASTIC AMAZING! Love it. I love the rules concept and the fact that it is one big world that gets created by everyone as we go along. I think this is one the few entries I've seen that I'll actually come back to again and again. Brovo, sir, on an excellent game!
This is a pretty cool little game you've made. I like it. Being able to win or die would have made it much better, especially if your head exploded awesomely when the pressure got too low. Loved the sun and moon graphics lol. Good work, mate.
Played through to the end. A bit wierd but that was part of the fun. Nice work.
That was a fun little game. The little guys said some funny things. The controls could have been better and it was a shame about the game maker watermark. FYI, I use Game Maker 8.0 Lite instead of 8.1 Lite as it doesn't have that watermark. You can find it on Google still. Great work on your game. Loved it.
The title screen is gold. Fun game. Reminds me a bit of Settlers of Catan. Nice work!
YES! THIS GAME IS AWESOME!
This game is seriously fun. The whole concept of a fairy firing heavy weaponry at chickens while they shoot bubblegum at her is a trainwreck in the best kind of way. I especially like the awesome power of the power ups. Never got to the second level but the first level was solid gold on it's own. Nice work.
That blew my mind!
Cool game mate. I might have missed something, but I didn't see what the ant was useful for. Also, whenever I died it seemed to be for no reason. It was fun though.
Thanks for the feedback everyone!
@karnakgames: I'm glad someone picked up on the message behind the game. This piece was intended to provoke thought and encourage positive change, after all.
@DaveDobson @edg3 @Endurion
The + icons are the upgrades. There are 4 upgrade levels. The first is simply a faster rate of fire, which you will probably only notice if you hold down space instead of tapping it. The second upgrade onwards is where it starts getting crazy.
If you get hit or Urth gets hit, you lose a life and go back one level of upgrade. If you keep losing lives, it might look like the + doesn't do much.
Thanks for all the comments everyone. I really appreciate it.
Kept playing (the updated version) until I finally beat the game. With so many games to rate, not all of them make me want to do that. So well done on a very engaging game.
Lol. This game had an awesome feel about it. I was all set to go on an epic adventure when the game ended incredibly abruptly (most unexpected ending ever!). Nice mood - it left me wanting more!
Love the atmosphere. The combat was fun but it did take a long time to get the hang of gliding. Played it until I beat the damned mechanical beast. Very enjoyable game.
This is the best game ever
The controls were very jerky for me in Chrome using a laptop touch pad. It also seemed a little laggy. Made it a bit frustrating to play. Other than that, it was a cool game. Nice work.
Finished the game! There was a lot to love about this entry. It was a lot of fun and the puzzles were very interesting. I liked that you sometimes had to go back a level to beat the next one. The boss battles were a nice touch. You have made an excellent game! Bravo!
Great game. Played it all the way to the end. Fantastic soundtrack!
That is seriously cool! Love the idea. 5 points for Innovation.
However, it ran very slow for me in Chrome and that combined with how small it is made it quite frustrating to play. I didn't have the patience to cross the lava stream on the tiny boat. Awesome concept though - very clever.
What the?!
Really cool atmosphere and fun puzzles. Was looking forward to the final showdown with Zardon.
Scuba diving in dirt: CHECK!
Running into bombs to detonate them: CHECK!
Genocide just for the hell of it: CHECK!
Everything I look for in a game is included in this one. A solid entry. A+.
Haha that really was a kids storybook, and the voices that should be used to read one out. Nice aesthetic man. It's really cool.
Nice game mate. Yay for Game Maker games. Good work.
This looks interesting and I'd love to give it a play, but the 226MB download scared me off. If you can make the download a lot smaller (ideally less than 20MB), I'll give it a play.
