LD18 — Enemies as Weapons

Sporg by voxel 2010-08-22T19:06:00

Linux users can play with a recent version of pygame, just run src/sporg.py

Sporg by voxel 2010-08-23T16:57:00

Wow the marble really does look a lot like Oxyd. I hadn't seen Oxyd before, but was inspired by a lot of amiga games (particularly psygnosis games), by which I mean I tried (quite badly) to emulate the style. I totally agree that the stickiness on collisions is a real pain, and the game should be a little faster paced. The limitation of 48 hours, eh?

Sporg by voxel 2010-08-23T20:42:00

Sam, did you get a mixer pre_init related error?

Battle Puzzle by Dzarg 2010-08-23T01:39:00

I did a very similar concept, so maybe I'm biased, but I liked this. Also you've done it in XNA which was probably non trivial. Nice effort but would like to see more levels and some sound. Also I cracked up laughing the first time I got flung around by an enemy :D

Birds of Prey by Ricket 2010-08-23T01:36:00

Love it. Was following this one as you wrote it (I'm @voxel on twitter) lots of fun, meets the theme, just not a lot to it. But I'll be damned if I can stop flinging birds around. Some tighter collision detection would be awesome though

Tacticool by Flyboy 2010-08-23T01:43:00

Would love a difficult balanced version of this. Maybe it's just me, but something about little mice flinging pieces of cheese at robots is awesome

Leave Me Alone by hamburger 2010-08-23T01:32:00

Second AClockWorkLemon, really enjoyed this (especially when I finally beat the map where you're surrounded at the very start, but the music wasn't really my cup of tea.

Emagtra by Super-Dot 2010-08-23T01:48:00

I'm glad you didn't include instructions. Took me a minute to work out what was going on. Liked the attractor mechanic but would have liked Y and B to be dangerous to the player. Nice effort, one of the more original games :D

LD19 — Discovery

Disc Over Y by voxel 2010-12-31T04:17:00

Yeah sorry about that. Got a bit carried away and was developing on a somewhat beefy machine. I did realise it wasn't working on more modest machines and spent a couple of hours trying to fix it up but failed, and decided to try and just get more of the game done.

I agree with everyone's comments that the game could [should] have been scaled down considerably.

I'm travelling at the moment, when I get home though I'll try and sort out the issues and maybe someone will play a working version that doesn't require 1.2GB available RAM just to start :). Dynamic loading didn't figure it's way into my rushed coding schedule I'm afraid :(

LD21 — Escape

INFALL by voxel 2011-08-22T02:20:00

in before 'infail'

INFALL by voxel 2011-08-23T06:27:00

'What to do' is on the big monitor on the left wall of the cabin. Guess it could be clearer. Thanks for playing Zed

The Power of Escape by BurnZeZ 2011-09-01T04:45:00

whoah I completely was not expecting the tunnel section of the game. nice hidden section

Vector Dash by black_mage_andy 2011-08-25T04:27:00

Nicely balanced for an LD entry. Nice smooth controls. Liked the aesthetic, could have used some more varied sound, but most importantly I'd like to see pixel perfect collision detection added/fixed :)

The Sonata of Crayfish Jeff. by shockham 2011-08-25T04:08:00

accidentally won in just one button push. Really like the Jeff sprite though, especially his eyes

A Robot Escape by TravisTX 2011-08-31T21:51:00

I cant run Silverlight here :( didn't vote.

Abscond by Hanoran 2011-08-23T01:33:00

I too have to agree with the 'woody' comment and am awarding points to Humour as a result. Nice game :)

Stratus by RichMakeGame 2011-08-23T03:54:00

I've looked at quite a few entries and this is my favourite by far so far

Infection Run by Takkenrakker 2011-08-31T21:50:00

couldnt get this to run :( won't vote for now

BATHOS by johanp 2011-08-25T05:00:00

I appreciated the (fairly) subtle clues :) a few games have used this idea, but this if far and away the best I've seen this compo. Great work!

AWAYGET by mklee 2011-08-25T04:30:00

Enjoyed this one a lot. Glad you didnt put big signs up saying shoot the lights. Only annoyance was enemies spawning into the escapee, couldnt work out a way to stop that from happening with my gun

LD22 — Alone

Leave Me Alone!!! by Atomic 2012-01-09T20:02:00

the art style here was particularly close to my heart <3 good work. would have been nice to be able to rotate the camera to see the Mothers that were out of shot

Mountain by voxel 2011-12-19T08:02:00

Sorry about the music, it was a last second late night Sunvox pattern slowed down a lot and slapped on without any real loving care. I'll see if I can make something a bit more interesting and tighten up the graphics for a post compo version. Glad people are liking it <3

Mountain by voxel 2012-01-22T02:38:00

Yeah sorry JustJohn I didn't have time to make more of an ending than that. Only the last 100 deaths should be visible, which was supposed to stop the game getting 'too' easy, but i guess 100 is too many

You're Alone. by Strkl 2012-01-09T20:10:00

This game is just about perfect. I wouldn't change a thing about it

AloneWithZzZobmies by Simple Ghost 2012-01-09T08:55:00

best game I've played yet. was pretty freaking terrified to turn on the torch, expecting some kind of evilness to already be in my face

Apollo Kepler-22b by David Colson 2012-01-09T20:00:00

One of my favourites of this LD. good work. Really liked the first music track but would have preferred something a little more intense. Losing during the second level has a really nice ending, though if you're patient it lets you move through the planet. I was half expecting to find a floating cat out in space

Lonely Space Marshal by Zuieni 2012-01-09T19:29:00

Really liked the way you display player health in this

Alone in Space by Vic 2012-01-09T09:59:00

the countdown really makes this game. nice work

Alone in the Universe by KhaoTom 2012-01-09T09:51:00

Anything that involves not smashing into things in space gets my heartfelt vote

Alone Midway by Malactus 2012-01-09T20:05:00

great setting, atmospheric and more than a little spooky

GloW by DevMax 2012-01-09T08:46:00

Worked great for me here. Loved everything except the jump sound effect, broke the atmosphere just a little for me. Killed the boss and made the world safe and felt pretty good about myself

The Wizard Apprentice by Ralkarin 2012-01-09T20:39:00

hahah best ending

LD23 — Tiny World

Planet ZOOB by Pacifist Games 2012-05-12T04:20:00

Thought it was a bit gimmicky, but then after I realised I was still playing after ten minutes humming along to the resonating exploding moonlets I decided it was really rather good :)

One-way Ticket To Space Train by Macroz 2012-05-07T11:42:00

This is great. Would love to see this grow into a full game.

Ant Run by fatSquirrel 2012-05-04T06:21:00

got stuck a couple times but overall very nice. good music, but i'd have preferred something a little less moody

PixDodge by whitebird 2012-05-04T06:35:00

bit easy if you stick to the extreme left but definitely the most fun game I've played so far. nice work

SUBPIXEL by cr0ybot 2012-05-04T06:41:00

Loved the look of this one

boing SMASH by dokidoki 2012-05-12T06:05:00

Amiga forever

Tiny War by VDOgamez 2012-05-04T06:45:00

Would have liked a way to see the effect of long spaceflights reducing army strength, but really nice. Graphics are nice and simple and do the job.

Terra Bellum by voxel 2012-04-23T01:35:00

I've given up on the ludumdare journal as it never works for me. I waffled a bit on twitter (@voxel) and far too much in #ludumdare (also as voxel), if you want to give me any community points for distracting you from your work

Terra Bellum by voxel 2012-05-07T09:47:00

DDRKirby I hate you <3

doggone by hazzen 2012-05-12T11:45:00

Hah. Poor dog. But he's happy now right, living in a browser catching frisbees for all eternity? Liked this one a lot

Marble Worlds by Daniel X. Moore 2012-05-04T06:32:00

Charming game. No music or sound for me though (so i didnt rate on audio). Also thanks for including two wells into the green marble, I appreciated that :)

White Cell 2.0 by kamn 2012-05-04T06:48:00

Bit confusing but quite a bit fun too eh

Space Imperator by quadtree 2012-05-07T20:06:00

had some pretty bad stuttering when things got hectic but otherwise really nice

Orbiter by thatshelby 2012-05-07T09:37:00

Loved everything about this except how easy it was. I need a macho mode please

Tiny Adventures In SPACE by Jacic 2012-05-12T04:15:00

was nice to play a side scrolling space game where i didnt have to shoot anything. Really liked the overall mood and humour of this one. good job

Shoot Dem Asteroids by Darkcoder 2012-05-12T22:14:00

I actually really liked the controls too. Was half the fun of the game

Overpopulous by Make A Game 2012-05-12T14:11:00

Glorious

Gulliver by DDRKirby(ISQ) 2012-05-07T09:55:00

zzzzzzzzzzzzzz :p

excellent audio. rest of the game was okay, but really great sounds

Backyard Pirates by bompo 2012-04-24T09:12:00

i wish you'd called this naumachia. still, fun game. best i've played so far

LD24 — Evolution

Virion by Pacifist Games 2012-08-29T11:35:00

Really loved this, easily my favourite game of the dare so far

Ikaruga Devolved by ChronoDK 2012-09-11T10:34:00

Nice presentation, nice ideas

kinetic dream by mdkess 2012-09-11T10:42:00

Lots of nice elements brought together here, but I think the music really let it down

Beyond Our Sacred Sun by the31 2012-08-27T02:21:00

Lots of fun but too difficult for me. No matter how hard I tried I couldn't kill all my people :(

Evolver.exe + Src! by Uhfgood 2012-09-01T09:43:00

Uhfgood this game is genius. Seriously a great idea. Think you might expand on it?

Prometheus by sorceress 2012-08-27T10:02:00

Best music LD24!

Evolution by RipX 2012-09-11T10:48:00

Favourite graphics this LD

Evolution of War by odrega 2012-09-11T10:22:00

Promising start, hope you expand on this

Kitten Mate by Canard Sauvage 2012-09-11T10:29:00

Too good - lots of fun. Would have liked for my inbred kittens to have developed some kind of awful mutation, but maybe next time?

LD26 — Minimalism

Super 1-Bit Space Arena by Orni 2013-04-29T07:41:00

awesome uber supercool. weird request: crumble parts of the level as you play

Space Ball 3D by juaxix 2013-05-18T10:05:00

I really like the look of this but no friends, so I'll skip voting on everything else :)

Don't Get Wet by Komradus 2013-04-29T11:03:00

Fun, but I really wanted to zap my people. Accidentally of course

This is not a minimalist game by Volute 2013-05-20T09:16:00

THIS IS SO COOL aaahhhhh

Loved the end music. Lots of fun

Vortex Runner by YM 2013-04-29T11:07:00

lots of fun, liked the audio. only complaint was that my constant spamming of space means the game instantly restarts when i die :(

Abstract by PTSnoop 2013-05-06T04:51:00

I actually got quite attached to some of my art and didn't want to sell it. Really loved this. Only change I'd ask is for right click remove to be removed to help make the painting process a little more authentic. <3

Kitten's Pixel by MvT 2013-04-29T05:18:00

Couldn't work out how to go through the portal. Finally managed to align kitty with it but clicking the portal or the kitty or jumping straight up had no effect :(

1bit War. by Mythalore 2013-05-18T09:51:00

I have neither any friends nor a numpad, but it looks cool :)

Blue by TheFudster 2013-05-18T09:44:00

Nice to see an entry that takes longer than 30 seconds to play :). Would have liked a little faster pacing but I think it works well

Minimallist by commanderstitch 2013-05-18T10:08:00

BEST AUDIO PRIZE
BEST BLOND GROCERY WORKER GRAPHICS PRIZE
most annoying ninja.. prize.

I hope you enjoy your prizes as much as I enjoyed your insane game

::.::::::. by rwos 2013-05-18T09:50:00

Wow. Why have I never seen games mess with the page background outside the 'game frame' before? It was kind of fourth-wall-y and kind of awesome. Have all the votes

Illumination by Alic Szecsei 2013-04-29T05:02:00

quite liked this :). would be nice if you captured the mouse pointer. also the sensitivity is through the roof and i can see a lot of people being too confused to be able to finish it

Illumination by Alic Szecsei 2013-04-29T05:02:00

Fantasy RPG #58 by Martze 2013-04-29T07:56:00

Flawless. Contender for top ten for sure

Keypad Trainer Turbo by sol_hsa 2013-05-20T21:45:00

This did nothing to help with my lack-of-numpad data entry speed anxiety

Pixel Dust (LD26) by swizzcheez 2013-05-18T09:39:00

Ooh clever. Agree that it could do with better instructions for the drive-by ludumdare rater, but once you know what's going on it's a solid game and surprisingly fun.

Minimal ComplexiMolTato by Infernal 2013-04-29T05:58:00

no numpad :(

Balls! by pknowles 2013-04-29T04:53:00

wooo lasers!

Took me a minute to work out the GUI but the instructions are clear and concise. Amazing work, especially given the target platform

Balls! by pknowles 2013-04-29T04:57:00

does get very easy once you have missiles.

Arcane Siphon by justin35f 2013-04-29T11:10:00

Fun, but a little frustrating in places. i started stuck inside a rock, would like some more feedback on enemy health. Solid effort though, and I liked the sound :)

unessential by voxel 2013-05-01T08:06:00

To anyone finding the game difficult: when you die you are given a summary of what moves that enemy uses. You can use this to vastly increase your chances of defeating that enemy on your next playthrough :)

unessential by voxel 2013-05-18T10:10:00

Thanks for playing everyone :)

BTW it's turn based, so take your time and think. Or just mash the buttons I don't care.

Life! by cwilloughby 2013-04-29T05:09:00

Combine life sim and rhythm game? The critics said it couldn't be done, but then cwilloughby got a perfect rhythm combo and blew all of their minds

Chez Angelo by EdoMiyamoto 2013-05-01T08:41:00

Love all of the audio effects, just not the music so much. Everything else was just really refreshing and lovely and great. More of this please :)

Hiddensquares by Tozy 2013-05-18T10:01:00

lovely audio, you were right about 3/9 being hard

haha that scream. megapoints for audio for that

Amish Brothers by Levi D. Smith 2013-04-29T04:50:00

ALL SHEEP RETURNED TO THE BARN.. YEAHHHAHHHA

nice work. timer or other scoring system would be nice!

Bladeless by kidevil 2013-05-18T10:03:00

Amazing visuals, found it difficult to work out but maybe I'm just a little dumb

Terminally ill by Sebastian 2013-04-29T07:03:00

Well, that was stark and harrowing. Never been so sad to play pong in all my life

Velocibox by invi 2013-04-29T05:21:00

"invalid data file" here too. will come back later :)

Ramspace by sigfig 2013-04-29T05:37:00

Still havent quite worked all of this out but I can easily see this being my favourite game of the compo. Love it

Keyboard by McDonaldsWizard 2013-04-29T05:14:00

Haha, nice! Pressing the keys too soon seems to be NOT OKAY but I had lots of fun. Liked the health feedback

Killing Time by bobo72a 2013-04-29T05:05:00

Would like to see a longer version of this. Also see if you can figure out a way of hosting this so we dont have to download it :) you'll get a lot more plays that way

The Choices We Make by Dezzles 2013-04-29T04:42:00

Biased perhaps but I loved it. Cool music, cool little friend flying around my head encouraging my wrongdoing. Especially appreciated the column of particles coming off of the goal helping to orient me

minimalism by tchagnon 2013-04-29T07:00:00

The things the previous commenters are complaining about are what made the game interesting imho. Very direct interpretation of the theme. Like+

Balls Balls Balls by matthias_zarzecki 2013-05-20T09:40:00

Just a quick thankyou for including a mute music button :), so easy to forgo in an LD entry

Prism by Sanguine 2013-05-01T13:30:00

I liked the part with the squares!

Where is my Bone? by Uhfgood 2013-05-18T09:57:00

full points in all categories except the ones i didnt give you full points in.

Puzzlecave Episode 1 - Raiders Of The Lost Potato by gizmo 2013-05-18T09:35:00

I _loved_ this. Have to admit I didn't realise it was a bunny, but that's part of the charm of simple, abstract graphics, they're many things to many people. Would play a longer version of this

Shoot (AAA_FPS_GOTY) by quill18 2013-05-20T22:07:00

Does exactly what it says on the tin. Cool stuff

MIN by s0ulcrusher 2013-04-29T11:25:00

Amazing work. Love the glitchy crazy halo awesomeness. Didn't have any trouble with the platforming, would have been pointless to include it if you made it any easier

Minizator by Dreauw 2013-05-20T09:33:00

Love these graphics. Minimalist walking anim is hilarious. Good work!

LD29 — Beneath the Surface

Tentacle Potato Defence by NeiloGD 2014-05-06T14:59:00

Best audio LD29 award. You did a sick job with the tentacles too. Had to subtract all your stars for potato though

Agent Thursday by cageinabird 2014-04-28T13:35:00

I'd also like to be able to hurry the dialogue along a little and the music got old pretty fast, but I loved everything else. Definitely my favourite game so far

Spacehack by Gallefray 2014-05-08T14:57:00

my guy is so terrible at aiming his mining laser. stupid aliens. fun times

Hiya Haystack by commanderstitch 2014-05-15T08:00:00

An inspiration to the vegetable rights movement. Those farmer sprites are awesome. Good, sensible fun.

Color Graphics Adventure by Eniko 2014-04-29T13:48:00

I was really hoping for a midboss cameo enemy but despite being utterly disappointed in that regard I loved everything else about this. I did find it a little difficult to distinguish between purple/cyan and red/cyan though, but maybe that's just because I'm trying to play this in direct sunlight. GG

Read Between the Tropes by Crowbeak 2014-04-29T12:43:00

I enjoyed the story and the tropes but mostly I liked the groanworthy puns.

WOOD BIRD EGG DIG by voxel 2014-04-28T00:14:00

Windoze port tomorrow

FedIt! by zedutchgandalf 2014-04-28T13:38:00

Interesting and original :) I haven't played anything like this before, which is always a nice change in an LD entry. Tiny shots are tiny though, especially in the flash version.

Dany's Room by Alexandre Szybiak 2014-05-02T14:24:00

The music really made this for me. Lovely art style too

Worm Simulator 2014: Ultimate Home Wrecker Edition by MarsBar 2014-04-30T15:45:00

This is 110% the best Shai Hulud hat sim I have ever seen. There are not enough stars on the vote form for how much fun this is

Asteroid Munchers by Sumizome 2014-04-29T11:16:00

I too had to adjust display brightness to see what was happening. Fun :)

I am a Richard by Dezzles 2014-04-29T12:07:00

Bravely autobiographical or just whack shit bat crazy, nobody except the author can really say.

Ninja VS Worms by ninjacharlie 2014-05-02T09:47:00

Haha, 'but you still did good'. Such a nice game over screen. I really liked the music in this. I liked how the shots went through enemies allowing you to set up multikills, maybe a combo bonus or something would be nice for that and would help encourage careful aiming? Lots of fun

Five little Submarines by ziege 2014-05-08T09:22:00

Cute game with harsh gameplay. I approve

Under The Earth by DRAGONMASTER412 2014-05-15T15:07:00

Oh well kid. Next time be upfront, declare base code in advance and don't steal assets. Please read the rules before entering again.

I'll be honest: my first impressions were pretty negative, but about 30 seconds later I was laughing out loud. I appreciate that it's a sad topic but the story telling is so well done I could almost believe Daisy had written it herself. Nice work

NecRobot by Zarkith 2014-05-02T15:39:00

Beautiful sprites

Jupiter Lander by IvanDashSmith 2014-04-30T14:59:00

Way too easy for an experienced thrustplayer, but this was so lovely and atmospheric I played it repeatedly. <3

Living in a Kaboom submarine by copain 2014-05-07T09:52:00

Being about to shoot torpedoes at myself was pretty cool. Local multiplayer is always welcome here :)

Fappy Bat Cave Edition by laker 2014-05-07T09:48:00

Fantastic first entry. The bat sprite is cool but looks like it's clipped to a square in some frames? Nice work

DUNGEON DUNGEON DUNGEON by urisensei 2014-04-30T10:26:00

Can't get the OSX version to launch. OS is insisting the executable is corrupt. Tried downloading a few times with no luck. Any suggestions?

DrillPower by ianb96 2014-04-28T13:24:00

Couldn't get the kong version of this working. Music playing, robot in middle of empty screen. I'll come back later and try again

Disco Apocalypse by hellozimi 2014-04-30T10:29:00

Best story best disco

Trufflehunt by ruerob 2014-05-17T20:37:00

too me a little time to realise that i was looking at the piglet's *tail* when he's truffling. Charming stuff

Drowning in Problems by Notch 2014-05-15T09:43:00

I feel a little silly waiting out the last phase, but i guess i hadn't actually lost my hope after all.

Bathyscaphe11 by j_peeba 2014-05-17T20:41:00

I enjoyed the short, sharp levels. Some nice ambushes, and didn't feel like I got sent back too far when I died.

Fist of Truth by djdduty 2014-05-16T09:26:00

Is this FISTS or FIST of Truth? We need to know the real truth.

Great game. I give it four fake birth certificates out of five

Planet Improver by udo 2014-05-17T20:33:00

Love the atmosphere, and I for one enjoyed the economic portion of the game

Unobtainium by callidus 2014-05-17T20:47:00

Fun game with a surprising amount of replayability. Quite a few options tactically. A pity that you used borrowed music in a compo entry though :(. Still, fun

LD30 — Connected Worlds

Lorries In SPAAAAACE! by AtkinsSJ 2014-09-10T18:17:00

Best take on the space trading theme that everyone seems to have used this LD. Lots of fun, played it while I flew intersystem in X3

Onomo by plash 2014-09-10T13:44:00

ughhhh i want more of this :( please make it i will give you a dollar.

I played it for a while without having read your disclaimer saying it was incomplete and now I am sad sad sad. I'm giving this a stupid high rating because I love it

Rocket Science! by timtipgames 2014-09-11T07:05:00

Took me a while to work out but fun times once I did. Collecting a trail of stars is really satisfying

Spaced Out by darkshadow 2014-09-10T14:05:00

Got quite a bit of slowdown on my 2013 macpro retina. But I really enjoyed what there was here, could easily see this grow into a larger game I'd like to play. Music sounded like it might have been clipping a bit too

Split//Maze by sol_hsa 2014-09-10T15:39:00

Time challenge makes this good. Great feedback, solid movement, something weird about the audio engine hewhew but really this is a quite a lot of fun.

New Ludum Dare Game by Crowbeak 2014-09-10T15:34:00

IF YOU SAY CROWBEAK THREE TIMES WHILE PLAYING THIS GAME IN THE MIRROR THERE IS AN EARTHQUAKE AND CROWBEAK CLIMBS OUT OF THE GROUND AND MAKES YOU A CUP OF TEA

Super Shaker X by voxel 2014-08-25T07:34:00

Hold on to your hat, other OS versions incoming

Super Shaker X by voxel 2014-08-27T19:37:00

hey plash, all versions have that error :) not sure why but rock0.ogg fails to load the first time, so i load it twice :p

HUNT by saampahlavan 2014-09-10T15:49:00

I enjoyed the fairly minimal interface, helped with the atmosphere. Some of the sounds felt a little out of place though. Would like a more difficult version, and some idea of how this relates to the theme

Circular Logic by Benn 2014-09-14T09:45:00

NEAT. This spins me around. Circle reference.

Honestly the only thing that bothered me about this was that my character looked like a squashed bean. Music was alright, graphics did the job, but the concept and execution were really original and interesting.

Planet Sweeper by pansapiens 2014-09-10T17:45:00

Nice original idea

A Brief Excursion by MalphasWats 2014-09-10T13:24:00

More tactical than it first looks, spoiled a little by the sheer amount of mushrooms available. A fun game, if a little easy :)

Cesarino's Friendly Interplanetary Delivery Service by ZYXer 2014-09-10T18:06:00

lots of really nice polish on this, lots of cool attention to detail. impressive work

NECLiD by 0x0961h 2014-08-26T08:25:00

Normally don't enjoy the puzzle games that come out of LD but this is a great exception

Arktrail by DaanVanYperen 2014-08-27T08:43:00

brainslugs with benefits!

RGB Worlds by x1212 2014-08-26T08:00:00

Not rating yet, I don't seem to be able to do the colour thing everyone is talking about on mac. do i need a numpad or something?

DON'T. BREAK. MIRRORS. by IamAcoconut 2014-09-10T17:33:00

Would be nice not to have to start over entirely after losing the mirror battle. Interesting idea

Capsule by PaperBlurt 2014-09-10T18:30:00

This is nice, it's too bad the clown image isn't original :( http://38.media.tumblr.com/06e507c703e9933695986d784a551df2/tumblr_natrhktUHM1qzknwuo1_1280.png you can't just run a filter over a photo and pretend you drew it during the compo. They might stand for that in Jam land, but we have standards sonny.

Other than that, really solid effort. One of the better LD twines for sure

The Stitcher by christopf 2014-09-10T13:36:00

Also you shouldn't really be voting on other games without anything submitted yourself.

R.E.P.O.C.O.S.M.O.S. by Robber 2014-08-26T08:09:00

This was right up my alley. Lots of fun, short and succinct, cool gravity fun. Thought I was stuck in Lagrange a couple of times but I slowly fell back down the well. Love it

Coplanarity by awsumpwner27 2014-08-29T09:30:00

I really like the tiles and the palette in this, very short though :(

I Think I Broke Something by Otrora Games 2014-08-26T13:11:00

beautiful art, great music. Interesting RPS style combat, found it a little difficult to guess which weapon should be used on each enemy but maybe im just dumb :)

Bird Simulator - Worlds Connected by Poo by eastes 2014-08-28T11:34:00

Too bad there isn't a birdpoo category in the ratings. This was fun and nicely put together.

Also to answer your question, no I don't currently live in Brisbane, but I did until very recently :)

G414c-ship by Lolwned 2014-09-10T13:55:00

Quite liked the audio and mood in this. Reminded me a little of solar winds. Pity the quests weren't more involved, but great job for a first entry!

NOODLE FEELING by Magdev 2014-08-27T08:28:00

definitely a contender for a spot on the top ten noodle games of LD30

Journey to the 5th Planet - My first Ludum Dare! by KevRevDev 2014-09-10T13:17:00

The music loop did get old fast, but it wasn't too annoying. Loved the hit sprite, and the level backgrounds are ART and should be in a gallery. Liked this a lot :)

Space Trade Inc. by Maxxim 2014-08-26T08:30:00

nice and atmospheric, can really appreciate where you were going with this. Think you'll be able to work on it a little more in the future?

Space Haulers LLC by Kaelaholme 2014-08-26T08:43:00

And the first place for "Unique Physics" Award LD30 goes to Space Haulers LLC

Let's be friends! (But some will die) by RFMTeam 2014-09-13T05:22:00

pretty hard to play when the window doesnt fit on the screen properly because you wont let me scroll :(

but a little fiddling and i got it working. Entertaining, if a little brief. Great characters

Mega Golf by Jedi 2014-08-27T18:58:00

The best use of the theme; not tenuous at all. Would have liked more holes, but isn't that always the case

BOLYGOK by Chaoslab 2014-09-10T13:49:00

haha madness. mostly i liked drawing in the bubbles and the handdrawn art, but the game itself was cool too. Didn't finish it yet.

Benn's Adventure by sorceress 2014-09-12T07:56:00

What a harrowing tale. The protagonist systematically depopulates entire worlds in his quest to retrieve his feline friend. Examples (with spoilers): exploit Ratking's cocoa allergy by giving him a bar of chocolate causes him to instantly vanish into the afterlife, or gun down PoV with a laser pistol.

Despite the horrific subject matter, the game has some really nice environment art, terrible puns and even includes robots, forcing me to rate highly.

Also Benn's falling sprite is the best image of LD30.

Balance by miwuc 2014-09-10T13:33:00

I wasn't sure about why my hoomans were dying of hunger some of the time, but i was able to breed enough rabbits to replace them faster than they were dying.

I particularly liked the graphics in this. Didn't really enjoy the music

LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Bad Television by bitslap 2014-12-22T11:06:00

I liked the part with the guy

Automabot Battler by NeiloGD 2014-12-09T07:48:00

This is certainly the most approachable Write Your Own Killer Robot game I've played. I like that you didn't over simplify to the point of stupidity, but I can see it being possibly too complex for non programmers. Nice work, would deathbot again

The Crown Of The Rectangles by PTSnoop 2014-12-26T21:54:00

brilliant idea, well executed and communicated. I appreciate the minimal gui and the art style is simple and handsome like all my favourite game developers. I also appreciate you not letting the guards revert to their less alert state after losing sight of you, that's something that always bothers me in stealth games. 11/10 would steal little yellow rectangle crown again

Talking Heads by ponk 2014-12-13T15:05:00

Short and sweet, beautiful and a little clever. Sounds like the ideal life partner. Do you also do 48 hour human-making jams?

The Murderdome by RyanNielson 2014-12-18T14:12:00

Needs moar screenshake. Solid effort, love the sprites especially the gawping stabby dudes. Relentless pacing, perfect jamgame.

Grave Screen Of Death by Florent 2014-12-16T06:45:00

had trouble aiming, but this is a nice dose of hectic action :)

Dads Gold by Crushenator 2014-12-08T18:00:00

Nice. The magnifying glass works pretty well and i flipped that jeep like a pro. I'd like to see you belly dance to this music for me next time

DotHop by Teejay5 2014-12-28T10:52:00

Beautiful game, seriously impaired by the physics. I'm frequently being flung, launched, and otherwise bumped into the wrong place, especially during hops. Can I suggest adding a little height during the hop, not so high as to miss colliding with the pickups, but high enough to avoid skimming the top of the lovely fluffy bouncy blocks? Of course, if this is just part of the challenge and I'm bad at your game, I apologise.

Murder and Snow by igneousmoon 2014-12-23T20:48:00

I won't lie. I spent a long time playing this, pushing people around and wondering who has a house with so many bathtubs. I also appreciated the highly accurate representation of Wonkyth: him being the only resident to not have been working on a game. GG would play again

Orb Fetch: GOLD by the31 2014-12-23T21:36:00

Excellent, original, groundbreaking, breathtaking. That is a list of words.

Some of them apply to this fine game.

Gentle pacing, plentiful checkpoints help to overcome the frustration lesser pilots will no doubt experience. I'd prefer just a single health point to encourage not just bumping into spikes willy-nilly.

Also: you can do some fun things if you never let go of the rotate button.

Sterling effort, top marks.

Mr Snowman Visits Forbidden Temple by voxel 2014-12-11T15:14:00

Just a reminder that there's a link to the 'cheaters map' up above that helps direct you at key intersections.

Vibrant City by Anshul Goyal 2014-12-13T15:17:00

I'm glad you kept the visuals fairly simple here. I think it works really well and although the targets *are* tiny, they're not that hard to click on and it adds an element of challenge. Music was cool, and I'm glad you took the time to include a little intro to set the scene, made all the difference in mood. Nice work, send my condolences to the families of all the civs I accidentally splatted

Precise Shot by TimBeaudet 2014-12-09T14:36:00

Definitely my favourite arrow dropping simulator of LD31. Music loop was a bit annoying but the gameplay was great :D

TV World by Levi D. Smith 2014-12-15T07:34:00

Yeah! Go Jackets!

I really liked the aesthetic here. It's the best kind of madness. Low res backgrounds, enemies that looked like pickups (it was difficult to convince myself not to grab the lollypops), great music for each channel, loved all of it.

I'd like to see some kind of transition between channels. Maybe a flicker of static for a couple of frames? But otherwise I really can't fault this for what it is: a simple, fun sidescrolling shmup.

-- by vegard1992 2014-12-28T22:00:00

I congratulate you on your perfectly reasonable and not in any way insane game, good sir. Some have suggested I ought to alert the authorities and have you put into a safe place with soft, padded walls for your own protection, but I think I'm willing to risk you walking around naked singing about moon people if it means you make more games like this. Great stuff, I really loved this <3

Galvatross by ShuddaHaddaLottaFun 2014-12-28T10:31:00

This is a solid, polished remake of joust. The portal is an interesting addition. Lovely presentation, audio was a little .. challenging in places, but the music was fantastic. Would have liked some ingame music too.

Also your title screen is immense. Amazing, Awesome. I love it. There should be a ludumdare category purely for title screens

Afterlife Tesla's Disco Party with Flat Buds by Menesetsu 2014-12-28T10:46:00

This is a delightful and really quite simple game if you understand what is happening. Can I suggest you put your instructions on the itch.io page too? Or even in-game.

Nice selection of sounds really makes this work. Though I imagine it'd be essentially impossible for the colour-blind to play.

If there is a difficulty slope I didn't detect it, perhaps the tempo could increase over time?

Definitely a unique and innovative entry. Well done

Sorry the Snowman by Dezzles 2014-12-08T11:15:00

There's a bug: the intro song should *not* be skippable. Scrambling was a touch of evil genius. Sir I salute you and your passable singing voice.

Sorry the Snowman by Dezzles 2014-12-16T17:19:00

jojocanard, read the description above: "The game is not broken. It is behaving EXACTLY as intended. Have fun"

Avoid Rage by jackrugile 2014-12-08T08:41:00

Lighting the populated tracks is a really nice touch! Music is pretty nice too :)

Kerfuffle by rabbit 2014-12-23T21:40:00

AI wasn't much of a challenge once you learn to predict its behaviour pattern. Music was great though. Good effort, keep trying ;)

Path of Pixele by unitycoder_com 2014-12-26T22:14:00

Great audio here, I realise you've collected the sounds from elsewhere but you still used them effectively. Honestly for me they made the game. Interesting, original, minimalistic. I liked it :)

PAGETABLE by 2fast2fourier 2014-12-26T21:30:00

This is excellent. Rate some more games so more people see this! Level design could be tweaked a little with the final room to help make the extra mechanic more obvious, but maybe it shouldn't be too obvious? Also I accidentally my healthbar <3

Force Feedback by kumoi 2014-12-15T13:57:00

I will not lie, I was sad that I could not play the Rubiks Cube.

This was great. I escaped track one and was hoping to find my house and drive in through the wall, but unfortunately was unable to locate my abode.

Scarecrow by joekinley 2014-12-09T07:34:00

Ignore the nay-sayers, the author determines what is or is not a game. This is an excellent, original game experience that is wasted on conformist players with their 'scores' and 'endings'

Mr. Kaplan by lasagnegames 2014-12-28T14:06:00

Excellent, original entry. Audio was a bit of a mixed bag, but graphics were fun and the interview was great. The end rhythm game was a bit weird, but that can only be good really, right? Memorable game!

BORDERS by apiotrw 2014-12-16T06:36:00

Too dark for me to make out much of what was happening and not sure how it tied in with the theme, but it's definitely a cool idea. The turret model is impressive too, you made that right?

1Screen Theft Auto by AmmoreChicks 2014-12-26T21:12:00

Excellent effort, dang boy this ferrari drives like the real thing. Didn't finish the whole thing but you've managed to squeeze a lot of game into just one little screen. Great work

Hauler 31 by benmcnelly 2014-12-16T06:31:00

Yay another maze game. I was frustrated by the stickiness of the walls, but I guess driving my .. mining vehicle? through narrow tunnels shouldn't be too easy. I liked what I could make out of the audio but it was hard to hear it over the engine noise. But this was a nicely atmospheric game :)

Survive the Attack by alhvi 2014-12-26T21:42:00

This was surprisingly good! Nicely balanced, though maybe just a little on the easy side. I had a real sense of panic when my walls went down and I realised I actually needed to think a little about what I was doing. My only suggestion would be to make reloading at the ammo box take a few seconds, or make movement of troops much slower. Though perhaps this would just result in sitting your troops on the ammo box. Anyway, great work, I can see a lot of thought went into the balance and wave design.

Clutch The Crown by Jacob Peltola 2014-12-26T21:18:00

I really like this style of game, and the digging for the crown was an original take. Nice work, I had fun!

Snakkke by ratking 2014-12-23T21:56:00

The only 'difficulty' with this game is the audio :p. I really enjoy working out how to interpret games like this. Lovely, original idea, had lots of fun.

Synthetic Nano-Organic Web-Manipulating Agent Network by ZNCatlaw 2014-12-22T13:17:00

Excellent presentation. Some in-game audio would have been nice, but you can't have everything in a jam game, right? Quite chaotic, and I really liked the in-room representation of problems on the screens etc.

Crime Prevention by CrefossusJam 2014-12-09T08:48:00

YEAH GO STRAIGHT TO JAIL DO NOT PASS GO i won go me.

Wizards Are Bad by Lovelock 2014-12-16T09:02:00

Man that wizard is a serious jerk. I almost finished building a giant middle finger to let him know how I felt, but you can probably guess what happened next. I liked this a lot, but didn't really feel the music was a good match. Far too much sad and not enough angry.

Nixtopia by Saker Games 2014-12-16T06:42:00

Didn't rate: i couldn't see anything beyond the room with the computer, but was able to pick up a fire extinguisher (even though i was offscreen). Probably a resolution bug? I'm using OS/X with a retina screen, so sometimes this happens. I'll come back towards the end of voting to see if there's a fixed version to rate :). Beautiful art style btw

Ready Set Go by rurounikz 2014-12-26T21:56:00

as someone that's 'going' I appreciate this message. I apologise on behalf of the people that voted without considering what you've written. I salute you

Cryo Storm by hazarman 2014-12-28T14:11:00

Wow, great polish on a simple idea. Nice map, nice camera movement, lots of cool little features. A bit buggy in places but hey this is Ludum Dare. Lovely loading screen too :)

Temple Swapper by rayman1900 2014-12-16T06:49:00

hah, nicely original idea, never played anything like it

Sweet Dreams Bear by EvanEGibbs 2014-12-21T22:25:00

Ahhhhhh too cute. I got really worked up expecting some kind of evil shocker ending and was so relieved when everything ended nicely. I love this more than I love dinosaurs and cookies <3

6 out of 5 stars

Get Bigger! by admix 2014-12-16T08:55:00

haa this is so detailed. The little elf flecks sticking out of the snowball <3

Dream Visions by zulubo 2014-12-26T21:23:00

After laughing as I swatted the first enemy with my hand, I quickly got pretty stressed out by the evil swarm of munching heads chasing me through the forest. If I have a nightmare about this tonight I'll be sad :(

Nice atmosphere, pretty difficult to find the other buttons though. Also I liked the cinematic introduction. Nice camera tweening there

Maze of Doom by cyrixd 2014-12-28T21:28:00

This is the first game I've played this LD that actually required thinking, a brave and novel choice there sir.

Nebula by UrbanLogicGames 2014-12-11T15:23:00

This is exceptionally well presented. It looks, sounds and even tastes great. A pity you didn't get to finish it as it has the mood and makings of happy fun space times

Daedal by Rouquemoute 2014-12-13T14:58:00

I liked the controls in particular, they were probably half the challenge, without being stupid. Very nice star, lovely crackling sound

Clay Pigeon Hunter 2k14 by Jedi 2014-12-26T22:00:00

Butt hill or bewbs hill? I can't decide, but I can decide that these clay pigeons sound like 1960s b-movie alien invaders. Sad that you opted out of voting, I would have given you stars for fun and cool graphics :(

Snow Buddy Loves You: A Snowoperative Adventure by Norgg 2014-12-09T13:11:00

being able to throw the house bricks was a really fun touch. I thought this was a really fun idea, but a bit easy, even single player. I didn't really need to even attack the .. spinning fire brick demon things

Snow Buddy Loves You: A Snowoperative Adventure by Norgg 2014-12-13T15:07:00

This is my favourite game. I actually returned to it to play some more

Snow Buddy Loves You: A Snowoperative Adventure by Norgg 2014-12-28T14:19:00

Kiwi by fierysquirrel 2014-12-16T06:56:00

haha whoah, best authentic kiwi simulator 2014 grand prize :D

Tama by kill0u 2014-12-11T15:26:00

Certainly more entertaining than a real tamogotchi. Poops were a nice touch. More games need poops.

Spirit of Nakagawa by sorceress 2014-12-28T21:55:00

Hah! Excellent IK game. Cutscenes are fantastic, ragdolls are hilarious and sound effects are a little bit intimidating. Such polish! At first I was annoyed when my sidekick was defeated by the back leg of baldie's low kick in the opposite direction, but I am just a grasshopper and soon learnt the error of my ways.

Great music too, this game is the real deal. 999 ludumpoints to you. I'm holding back one point because there's no backflip included.

Terra by Canyon 2014-12-28T10:39:00

Interesting idea. I don't think anyone really comparing this to RPS actually understood what was going on. This is possibly even more simple than RPS, but has such a compelling, polished look that it's definitely worth spending a little time with.

Personally I'd like to see the game more a little more towards RPS by having a consequence for shooting someone's shields, like perhaps losing a portion of your stored energy. Otherwise there's no real incentive to use your shield, you're better off charging and blasting. It might also be nice to desynchronise the bobbing of the ships. Perhaps you've already made lots of improvements though, I haven't looked at the post compo version yet :).

SchneeMannschaft by Myyyvothrr 2014-12-26T21:34:00

Haha this is the most realistic football game I've ever played. At least, it's the one that most accurately models the level of football I play. Music didn't feel very appropriate, but loved everything else. The AI defenders were even helpful, which is no small achievement in this type of game. Okay one of them scored an own goal after I typed that, but I stand by my first statement about this being an accurate representation of bad football players. Great work

Pengie by GeorgeBroussard 2014-12-15T07:23:00

Great work! Poops were an inspired touch. Fun graphics and solid gameplay, hitboxes weren't very forgiving (perhaps it's the perspective?)

Also web version worked fine for me in chrome

LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

Shield Maiden by bitslap 2015-04-24T10:01:00

LD33 — You are the Monster

i Have a Choise by DiscoFish 2015-08-24T12:00:00

Incredible. I've only rated a few games but this is already winner of LD33. We need more mature games, and more that show the true nature of our feline 'friends' have eleventy thousand stars

The Walls Have Ears by Ysty 2015-08-24T12:09:00

Very nice. However I should point out that submitting this game has put you on a watchlist

Frametime by GreaseMonkey 2015-08-25T18:38:00

Amazing feat to get this done in 48 hours. I have a soft spot for entries that target uncommon systems and this blew a gory low-poly hole right in it and flew on through.

HUNGRY BUNCH by ratking 2015-09-06T10:31:00

of all the games I've played today (one) this is definitely the best. I liked the part where the monsters ate the food

Not Cookiemonster by OadT 2015-08-24T12:13:00

this is the most accurate monster in closet simulator i have ever played. Charming art, lovely game

Birdy Bridge by LastLeaf 2015-08-24T12:28:00

Made it through to the end. The game is not difficult if you show a tiny bit of patience. Theme felt a little forced but the presentation is very nice with appropriate music.

Last Chance For Bernie by Tijn 2015-08-28T20:07:00

I can't help but feel there is some deep, important metaphor here about the importance of tripping tall people over before they bomp your noggin and steal your money. Simple and solid, fun tunes and original idea. Eleventy hundred stars

Boss Stomp! by MrDave 2015-08-24T11:54:00

Ugh so satisfying to swing those arms around (and into eachother). I'd have liked the ability to do extra damage on powerful strikes

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Learning to Dance by WetDesertRock 2015-12-19T00:55:00

Blah blah blah at all these 'not a game' comments. I loved this. It is 100% a game. It is more captivating, fun and involving that 99.99% of other games. I think I had an emotion somewhere in there.

There were a few moments where I felt things were dragging a little and could have been improved with additional text, but it was always worth the wait. Fantastic entry, ignore the inevitable '2deep4me' comments

SAUROPOD vs THEROPOD by Tijn 2015-12-14T12:01:00

Definitely the best evolution simulator I have played this evening. I feel you cheated a little by using actual photographs of the dinosaurs, but otherwise a great educational entry with predictably excellent audio.

Pigeon by euske 2015-12-19T01:12:00

Geebus. What a clever idea. I wish the ending were a little happier but it's probably more theme appropriate this way. I really enjoyed this

Frog Well by g12345 2015-12-19T00:33:00

Wee. I really like this. With some algorithmic level generation to reduce the number of stuck spots this would be a great little phone game. Great work

https://youtu.be/pdaANe6yHkY I liked this game but did quite poorly at it.

Size Matters by Benn 2016-05-09T03:01:00

Very good. I felt like Jake from Adventure time as I played through. Short and sweet, only the right to left lavablocks slowed me down. I'd play a longer version

A distinct lack of work simulation in this game. I had problems with the map list, and the tutorial didn't tell me about colour switching after it maybe should have. But despite that it was a fun little platformer which didnt make me or my child vomit, which is always a plus. Have eleventy thousand stars

LD38 — A Small World

Fraser Island by dollarone 2017-05-10T15:20:28Z

I was lucky enough to play this with the creator(s) and it was a blast. Literally I wanted to blast the both of them off the face of the planet. It's a pity most people won't take the time to give this a go because it's a solid bluff game and a great way to learn about how good a liar your new friends are.

Dot by euske 2017-05-01T03:58:19Z

I tried to kill every cat, but one hid in a hole. 0/10 would not be outsmarted by cats again.

Enjoyed the music and art. The game felt late 1980s to me, maybe a cheap Commodore Amiga game or PC-88 (though the scrolling is probably a bit too good for PC-88). Nice work!

REDBOW by PixzleOne 2017-05-03T09:36:14Z

niiiice! I suck at this game, but i like the 8bit feel here. I'd like it even better if i only had four or five arrows total and had to pick them up before i could reuse them. Also i got to level 5 before i even realised i could roll, which was a cool and unexpected feature. overall i really liked this and would slay flowers and spiders again, gg

Wrong Delivery by g12345 2017-05-03T09:26:21Z

Pretty nice. Obviously this is normal in a metroidvania but I like the progression of the abilities. Especially the dash powers. Actually the dashes were my favourite part, just zooming around out of control. Maybe get rid of everything else in the game and just have it be out of control dashing. Dash GOTY

Bulwark by WetDesertRock 2017-05-16T21:12:33Z

BURN THE KITTEHS. I'm just going to come out and say that a three digit score field is not going to be sufficient to contain my feline hatred.

Lovely music and cute sprites. Much appreciate the autofire too.

Spaceworm - Defend a sacred tree from worms invading your planet by 5Mixer 2017-05-03T09:48:33Z

cool game, i like that you took time to make a parallax starfield. Fading between the two music tracks when using spells was a nice touch of polish. Veeeery nice :)

The Lonely Captain by nander 2017-05-03T11:15:03Z

Very nice. Took me a while to work out how to get into space but I made it eventually ;)

Dots In Space... by davision 2017-05-15T22:00:23Z

Very cool! Quite a lot of nuance without being too complex. Honestly the ability to defend by being able to shoot down incoming shots really takes this from 'fun spammy gravity artillery game' to 'tricky tactical skill game'. Great work

Pity About Earth... by mwcz 2017-05-10T09:22:18Z

Amazing execution of a solid simple idea, the best kind of jam game. I especially liked defending against the rapid fire patterns, would have been nice to get some kind of bonus for deflecting an entire wave like that. Nice humour too :)

Dwarf World by rnlf 2017-05-15T01:57:26Z

The puzzles are good, the sounds are fun and the music isnt awful.

But the visual style is wonderful! Six stars! I felt like i was playing a 90s game with prerendered sprites, which I suppose might have been intentional on your part - i think maybe you might have a slight interest in games from this era?

Unnamed Space Project by Devastus 2017-05-09T23:10:25Z

Great visuals, fun turret defence, but player gun felt completely useless against the enemy.

Smalltrek by impbox 2017-05-12T02:52:46Z

lovely art. it was nice to save the universe without having to shoot anyone for a change :). Too many levels for me to finish yet but I'll definitely come back to this one. Cool game!

Shrinking Planet by Brackeys 2017-05-09T03:18:49Z

cute and tough, my favourite combination

Paper Jam! by danhett 2017-05-10T15:30:10Z

Lovely simple idea + great presentation = great jam game. Music wasn't super amazing but was fun. Sound effects were a good fit for the style and the flying cogs of death weren't too annoying (even after my fifth death). Shots continuing when offscreen made things a little easier than was probably intended, and on the last level you can go through the exit without blasting all targets. I enjoyed this a lot, I wish more jam games were this lighthearted.

But i have to tell you that starbucks sucks. All points deducted :o (not really)

Last day of the woods by Redblack Spade 2017-05-11T12:50:31Z

very cool, very surprising. unexpectedly difficult for a puzzle platformer newb like myself, but i made it and claimed my throne. great atmosphere, fun mechanics. as cute as it is tough

Marbleverse by Marc Grabow 2017-05-10T15:45:24Z

Fantastic! Finally a clicker game with a time limit, a guaranteed end instead of infinite upgrades. Great humour, fun mechanics, lovely presentation

Cubic Explorer by glitchy-pixel 2017-05-10T16:32:22Z

Charming presentation, great visuals and solid audio. Travel the universe beating up doggos with your trusty stick! Not immediately obvious that you can get different goals if you play again unless you've read the full description here. Some mission objectives were considerably more interesting than others. Great entry!

A Small Wheel by Evan Minto 2017-05-10T09:16:44Z

Haha, really nice take on the theme. Interesting way to progress through the level too. Some animation would have been nice but the graphics are cute as they are :)

High Noon Robots by RoxXx88 2017-05-10T16:35:44Z

Solid concept, lots of cool assets, but I feel it could all mesh a bit better. I'd like getting hit to be more impactful. Great style and thematic presentation. Hopefully I can find someone to play it against sometime

King of the Mountain by dollarone 2017-12-05T00:05:34Z

Very interesting! I won, so it must be a good game. Things are a little glitchy from here in Australia and I wasn't entirely sure what was happening with the traps, but this is an impressive achievement for 48 hours. Also from now on please address me as King Voxel

HELIRESCUE MENS by voxel 2017-12-19T08:20:32Z

Thanks @ptsnoop but it's not a bug with the game logic, it's a bug with me not communicating clearly that you need to be landed on the pad to end the level :)

This is amazing. I've seen two endings so far but haven't worked out how to get more v-numbers (if thats actually possible), but this is probably the best LD game I've ever played. Amazing work

Boiler Room Defense by cerno-b 2017-12-12T22:58:58Z

Great entry, I really like games that punish mistakes, and I made oh so many mistakes in this game until I worked out a fairly solid strategy to 'win'. Audio is okay, graphics are fun, gameplay is great. *applauds*

Trail Of Gold: Incredibly Heavy Load of The Cursed Bloody Metal by Alex Lutay 2017-12-06T06:37:36Z

This game is filled with offensive stereotypes, but you get to kill them, so maybe that's a good thing? Fun gameplay, neat premise, obviously some audio would have been great :).

DETERMINATION by megabrutal 2017-12-12T22:42:42Z

I'm not very familiar with undertale so I lose most of that context, but this was a fun take on the theme that got a lot easier once I realised I could fight back :)

Money Making Miner by beanslasher 2017-12-06T06:44:23Z

Fun little miner, really appreciated having a jetpack. All games should have jetpacks. ALL GAMES. Good work, I made 700 bucks which might just about cover my jetpack fuel expenses

Crystallone - False Stars by forrest 2017-12-06T07:01:33Z

I really like the flight model / physics here and feel it would make for a really interesting game if developed further. Is the exchange staffed by Ferenghi? The exchange rate was so bad! Nice concept, good execution, music was a little annoying after a few loops but not enough to really detract from the experience. What a wonderful first entry.

LD42 — Running out of space

Quadrofall by g12345 2018-08-17T13:47:09Z

I like the art, game runs fine here and I didn't notice any bugs. Good for a jam game and great for just a few hours

RUNNING OUT OF SPACE (1997) by the31 2018-08-17T14:00:50Z

wow, impressive work, especially considering you haven't finished exapunks yet. As a game, I thought the difficulty ramped up a little too slowly. Cracking tunes too, nice job

very juicy, great presentation

Tetradom by vfqd 2023-10-19T00:03:22Z

Very solid graphics, building your little city feels very rewarding. I opted out of voting on the audio as the game plays a noise when I start and then immediately stops - but I suspect it's a problem with my system, not your game

Squire of Holding by Juutis 2023-10-05T11:14:44Z

I finished all 10 levels and was devastated that the knight wasn't revealed to be Zarguuf.

Great entry with lots of good humour. A bit slow at times, I found myself waiting with not much to do at certain points, but I still had a great time shuffling turds and anchors. A really good take on the theme

Exodus by Lachlan James 2023-10-19T03:30:29Z

The presentation is very nice, I especially like the character portraits. I had to play without audio so I've not voted there, but I had a nice time regardless and think this is a good candidate for post-jam improvements

Mound of Flesh by CosmogonicFrog 2023-10-19T03:27:53Z

I really like this application of the theme. I found the game a bit too dark to play on a screen during the day, it's always hard to find a darkness level that works for everyone. I had fun playing this :)

LD41 — Combine 2 Incompatible Genres

Super Mario Machine Gun by dollarone 2018-05-07T23:17:11Z

I don't know why everyone is complaining about the graphics being unoriginal, i've certainly never seen any sprites like these before. Excellent gore and screenshake, would massacre hundreds of innocent little waddling guys again

PlatyPad by euske 2018-04-27T14:31:53Z

While presented as an irreverant lo-fi mashup game/editor, PLATYPAD is clearly the artist's critique on the dichotomy of entertainment and productivity software. Can a game be used to be productive, and can you enjoy using productivity software? While the game does not directly answer the question, it prompts the user to consider such issues through suggestive imagery, challenging gameplay and forcing the player to define their own goals. Truly this is art

Kelly's Marvelous Adventure by commanderstitch 2018-05-07T23:12:51Z

MADNESS. 80% certain i was playing the game wrong until I read your description and realised I was playing it right. Thoroughly enjoyed this, especially appreciated not dying instantly to hits. But please excuse me now, I think I need to lay down until I stop hearing those voices

Colossal Cat Fight by Jason Lothamer 2018-05-01T09:58:33Z

This might be a contender for the two most incompatible genres combined. I don't even think I managed to hit the other cat once! Loved the mean ol kitty combatant sprites

土星の台頭 - Saturn Rising by p-r 2018-05-07T23:20:41Z

I really dig the aesthetic here. This is the most unusual entry I've played, but it wasn't confusingly weird. I don't understand the other commenters not realising you were combining genres with Shiojiri's jumping etc. Solid effort
