there could be more in game instruction. i didnt realize there was a fire button on the mouse going in. Also didnt know what to do next after killing the boss.

there could be more in game instruction. i didnt realize there was a fire button on the mouse going in. Also didnt know what to do next after killing the boss.
very nifty idea, but also really confusing. guess i would like to see more visual contrast between the two dimensions
well done. a little music would be a nice rug, but overall its a great look, and well thought out puzzle game
very impressive visuals. i should have read the description a little better because i had no idea what was going on at first, but i eventually figured it out.
This was fun. A bit easy, but interesting.
Overall good game. Sometimes I lost and I didnt know why
This was pretty fun to play.. although a little difficult to get high scores!
Pretty fun game.
Cool game. Great concept!
This is very artistic. Amazing.
This was fun to play, could use some more levels!
Really fun game! One thing to make it a little easier to see is to turn the title banner on the side of the panel transparent. When you move around the puzzle you can't see from the one side.
wait, don't circles have an infinite number of sides?
interesting, but not really sure whats going on. i feel like the critters were dying of quicker then i could assess how to change them
this game was tough on my eyes. i like the polish, but it was tough to figure out where hearts would be, while dealing with the changing shape and the background. hard to really focus on the screen.
looks good, and a nifty idea. i will say walking against an edge to move a shape towards you didnt feel great due to the slow down in the animation... im not sure
simple mechanic. would like to see more to it, like scoring if you didn't use all shifts, etc. keep fleshing this one out more and you may have something here
not too much to it. i think it could be a good concept if the cloud were more morphable. also, I'm on safari and couldn't hear sound, fyi
easy to play, though not really hitting the theme. the floor colors are also a little bit difficult to determine that the start
Wish I had more people to play this with!
Interesting. I like the game editor a lot. It was fun to mess around with.
This is awesome! If only more players!
Couldn't figure this one out..
Fun game/! :D
I really like the concept!
Very addicting. Played against the comp for a while...
liked this one a lot. It was a little difficult though with one hit death and no check points.
I think it was a fun game. I thought it was really easy though
This was a fun game! good concept.
Great Game! I wish I didn't have to start from the beginning every time though!
I like the idea of the shapes attracting you. If there was another shape and obstacles it could become a real complex game!
great compo entry! six/music levels are a bit out of balance, it was hard to hear any music. but the polish is amazing.
nice simple game. kinda would be cool if it was a musical game, with each shape being a note in a song
amazing, completely amazing. how do you do it!?
such a weird little thing. I liked it. Didn't hear any audio. also, wasn't sure what would get me to eat something
very good, nice mood. well put together game/great pacing.
definitely nifty, even if it doesn't have a goal
nicely done. is it your first ludum or first time finishing? looks nice, would have like a longer music loop, and a little bit more of a tell of when to switch level, oppose to having to memorize it.
very nice combo entry. played on safari so wasn't able to rate the audio.
Lovely. It's a great concept and use of the theme. totally don't think the music choice fit. could just be personal taste but i felt like it was taking away from the elegant idea of this solely hand puppet story. but overall it was a beautiful idea that was fun to play, A+
nicely put together game, though i don't see the necessity in shapeshifting... I mean, 100% dragon-run is the way to go.
nice game. feel like you could've done a bit more with the theme, since your shapeshifting is basically an airbrake. Also, don't know if its just me, but the frame rate on the web build was a little slow. i got 272070, which was mostly due to that fact that everything was coming at me pretty slowly.
Couldn't get myself to play to deep into the game because i died a lot with spikes and the load times are loooong. But i had no idea you can make something that cool looking using Stencyl
great looking game, got stuck on the cheese part since i didn't read your notes. keep up this kind of work! nice job
i feel dumb, cause i cant get the mouse close enough to the cheese. just eats the fireflies then goes back in its hole...
nice simple mechanic, but i didn't hear audio... don't know if there wasn't any or not
i don't know what this is. can't wait for the sequel.
I think you are a lying butt-crumb saying you made this game in a weekend. thats impossible. this is way too good and complete... cant be done! cant be done i say! #allthestars
fun concept, super well put together
rad. i like the mechanic in this. audio would have really helped the mood, but i really like how you setup going from one level to the next. the Twitter button in game didnt seem to work, fyi.
very cool you made a online multiplayer game for the jam. unfortunately i had to play against myself...
nice graphics. the music loop was a little repetitive, and I'm not seeing a use of the theme. seems to just be a dino punching game.
nice entry. its a clever idea using shapeshifting as a point-and-click interact medium
This game was really well put together, but you lost me with the difficulty curve at the end. escaping the eraser just seemed impossible to accomplish. well done game though!
Amazing compo entry. I will say the duck gliding controls weren't straight forward, but once i figured it out, it was smooth sailing....
beautiful entry. I found it very difficult to roll a second time though. controls never seemed to want to cooperate to allow me to do that
I like it, but i dunno... maybe there was latency in my brainspace but I had a hard time matching the beat. feel like things were a bit out of sync. also, +1000 funpoints for the polish. it's a great looking game.
Great entry for your first LD, also, welcome! Did you do the Music within the timeframe as well? I dig the VO a lot. I like the idea of the snake being larger when it ate something, though I dont know how directly it affected my playstyle.
kinda fun, interesting take on a clicker. good use of sfx.
nice job making this programmatically. I didnt have too much issue playing, though without sound my attention span is a little short :) was the Next Dimensional Shader added in as a little bonus?
Interesting, but im not sure if your mechanic is working. It seemed to but updating the trail sometimes even if i was looking at them.
very nice river city ransom looking art, and quite fun to play. was a little concerned at the start since i got to the end of the first level and could see the unity skybox, and was thinking there was only one level, but then the next finally loaded.
Great mood and art. Perfect color palette choice. Thought it could have used additional sound effects like scuba mask pressurizing and bubbles as the player goes deeper. I would have really loved if you could go inside things. Inside the shipwreck, the sub...maybe even the whale!...but I get that was probably a time thing. Sometimes there was a bunch of stuff in one area, so I wasn't exactly sure what I was discovering, but still, Very impressive.
Art is awesome. All the animations and juiciness really helped create a world. The color shift mechanic really made this stand out. I got caught in places quite a bit. Including towards the bottom near one of the slanted barriers that I am suppose to slide down. Aside from a few instances like that, the game is a cool experience.
Music is great. Had a real "It Follows" vibe. The acting was great. the effects were pretty nicely done, excessive at moments, but cool. I didn't like that the keyboard Z & X didn't actually work. Also seems weird to call it a game of choice, my choices didn't seem to change the end or path, because of repeats. I am not sure If I played a "game" really, but it told a story and that was fun.
Fun game. I think faster paced music or music that sped up as you got bigger would have brought up the mood a lot. I felt it ended kind of suddenly. More emphasis on what the larger ball can do, especially towards the end would be real cool. Impressive entry!
The rotating mechanic is pretty awesome. I often had no idea what was happening or why I died. There was a lot going on. I think sometimes I died after being hit by only one thing, and then other times I could take multiple hits by the same object and stay alive. Music is pretty rad.
Art and animations super nice. Good mood. I think I have sat here playing this longer than any game so far. Would have loved some additional movement from the character in between gaming. I would definitely play again, especially when there is more interaction for more of the daily routine. Like choosing the right pic for instapanaram. ha
Seems very polished and old school, which is great. This style of game was never really my thing though. The art is great. Animations too! It wasn't really a "2 button" game, but still cool. You can see a lot of hard work went into it.
Graphics and music were supremely polished! My only problem was that I couldn't look at all of the amazing art during gameplay, because I had to look at the notes at the bottom. If you were to take this further, I would love a bonus level that somehow lets you interact with more of the art without having to only focus on the notes... but then of course, get back to the notes. Also, I feel like I want a screenshot of this game plastered on a shirt!
One of the best games I've played so far. Looks great. The ambient noise is pretty good, but I would love more music to it. I will definitely be coming back for more. I was a little unsure about some of the obstacles. I thought I had to avoid them altogether, but I guess I could break through some of them...or maybe I had to collect something to break through...not sure. FUN Though!
Music was great. Animations made the gameplay really fun. I could have kept playing this for hours if there was a clear way to win or lose.
It does lookalike it could be really cool with some work. I didn't get the controls once they finally started working, The camera a angle made it interesting. I didn't shoot one thing. It didn't really look like the laser was long enough to reach most of the things. Cool color choices, but with neon in the name I expected more craziness and a larger variety of neon.
You're right! Super ADDICTING! I love the animations. They bring so much to the game play. Maybe I didn't play long enough, but a change in scenery a ways through would be really cool. or even collecting things or weapon changes would be awesome.
Really cool idea. I'll be honest, I didn't get it until I read the comments, But now I have to go back and make some stuff. It would be cool if there was more art and world/experience building content in it before you get to the crowd sourced art part of it. I think you would get a flooding of content with some tweaks. The music made me a bit sleepy. Something more upbeat would be really cool. Creative idea!
Happiness, cuteness, cheer!...more cuteness!! The music an sound effects were great. Art was nice too. I wish the elf had some fun animation to it. I found the hitting both buttons to jump in the middle spot a bit annoying. Wish the hop was high enough to quickly change your landing direction, instead. I think there was a glitch with jumping. It kept starting me over when I hadn't fallen. I also would jump into an item and it wouldn't collect it, pretty frequently.
gotta say, a little disappointed that the egg doesn't actually roll as eggs do. it would make it harder to control though, so the barriers would need to be more forgiving. but this does play well, and I'm really digging the music
nice, like the art/animation. i always seemed to send my eggs flying though! :)
neat idea, and good use of controls, no sound though?
love it. bit repetitive after a while, but I couldn't stop playing! loved all the art, and seeing how the background changed! very well put together!
some more variety and more visibility on the growing snowball, otherwise good work. love the goat flying animation
I appreciate you posting what you have even if not finished. clear that calendar for next time :)
nice art! has potential
It was the most different game I have played and it did have interesting responses, but there was a bit of a creepy aspect to it. I am a little worried if I don't keep showing this game to people the Clay Man will come after me...and as long as they play and complete the game my life will be spared... Anybody? Anybody else feel that way??? lol
The background was hypnotizing! Sometimes I didn't even notice a bug was getting close cuz I was caught up int the BG. I'm mildly worried about what this game slipped into my subconscious! haha. Fun take on the growing ball style.
Dude what's up! it's a great looking game, and pretty fun to play. going to have to see if I can get 4 controllers hooked up for some multiplayer
Not bad, but I feel like this skirts the theme of two button control... because mouse movement is kinda technically 4 button control on it's own (positive and negative axis). It's very well put together, and the music is pretty good!
beautiful aesthetic, well polished.
classic sounds. nicely done. really fun layout/level design. not sure what it was but my jumping was a little weird. might just be on my end though.
Really fun! Very difficult. I'm always bad at limb controlling games. Would have loved to hear more Sound FX and music, to flesh out the the game, but the "nom nom" was perfect.
Very fun once I figured out it doesn't work on a trackpad. but I got to what I think was just about the end of it when it restarted all of a sudden. I'll have to come back to it later to finish for sure.
Really fun idea. Good amount of challenging. wish button control was an option as well. Graphics are simple, but really work for the game style.
The graphics and the idea are pretty perfect! I was a little confused about how to get the ship to fish and/or go back to collect the net. I feel like this is one I want to go back and play again though...gotta figure it out. Also I could hit the space bar for hours! that alone was fun! haha
Graphics are really cool. puzzles are fun. I do wish the music and sfx fit better with being trapped in a room, but still fun to play.
well polished, but yea, a bit like that one game :) I think it played really well, the "growing" bit was a little phoned in, but the mechanic of increasing health is nice if the difficultly ramps up. well done!
I like it. the art is really nice but it is pretty tough. Other commenters mentioned sound, but I wasn't able to hear anything
I think this is quite impressive for the time you say you spent on it. I will say as the controls start getting more complicated with the learned skills, it starts to become a little too unyielding, and found myself stuck due to not knowing how to make a jump... so i didn't get a secret ending :( great job!
Very well polished. I didn't read the instructions, but I had difficulty coming up with a strategy... or I just had a bad deck!
I...it...maaaayyybbbbeeeeee... I liked it? I'm not sure what was happening, but I just kept playing anyway. I think that means something. :)
Art is super cool. love the the shoot every time you go up or down mechanic of it. Wish there was killer music to match the graphics. I think that would have set this over the top in the best way.
Addicting! Mood is perfect. love the music, but it cut out a bit awkwardly at one point. Player on this page does not work, but the GameJolt link works well. *SPOILERS*...
Don't know why it explodes at the end, but I loved it.
Great idea and game play. Would have really liked if the shoot button was another button other than mouse. Really like the graphics.
Love the teleport and them look of the game. It is pretty laggy though. I played this game a lot longer than a lot of the others. Great job.
is this the sequel to Typing of the Bed? ... see what I did there?
simple, but kind of fun. it felt good to play control wise.
lovely animation in this! it's very humorous, but i'd like to see the cats that follow the laser to be more of a puzzle solving element. Like you use them to press buttons and open up pathways.
i find it a little difficult, but i like the combination of 2d and 3d, it looks really sharp.
love it. doesn't fit the theme, but love it.
this game has a very good look, but there is some stickiness to the controls/jumping that made it difficult to play. jumping sometimes just didn't want to jump (when doing the jump to the balcony).
really fun game, and great looking. my two cents are the vehicle should be brighter/more vibrant in order to stand out a bit better, kinda hard see. also i would love to be able to take more then one hit, a damage meter would be awesome.
I think this game could be a lot of fun, but it needs a catch button! dying because you missed a throw is a bit rough
love the look, music is a bit repetitive, and its a little confusing at what to do. Took me a few tries to grasp what was happening.
you've got some collision problems with the moving platforms, I think this game looks very cool, but the pacing at the beginning is very very slow, and it was hard to keep my attention.
it was a little cumbersome to jump in and play, but overall i think you did a good job with this
I love the look, though I didn't find the game to fit the theme at all. I do like the humor though
nice twist on rock paper scissors, and i dig the enemy animations
I didn't get it. I played for a while, and got 0 points. There is no heads up to even attempt to discover the rules.
amazing job for a compo entry. great look, polish and plays super nice.
all hail the flappy shrimp!
I love the style and theme, and think this is a really clever idea. would like to see it expanded on, with some audio (i didn't play the post jam version)
its a good idea, but having to go pick up my shots is not too fun. so i felt like i was making the game harder and more tedious for myself by mis-aiming and not hitting anything
not super fun, but definitely funny. definitely a lot of charm.
I like the sprites a lot, and the metal theme. but the way the enemies are I could not play this for too long. way too difficult to get past some stuff. great idea though
Art good and this is pretty fun to play. the sequencer music does get pretty annoying after a little bit.
Solid. I love it. I don't really think it took advantage of the them, but Everything was so well done, and the controls so tight, and everything polished.... definitely an A+
ok, so i like the look, and I think its a funny idea, but the audio is harsh. the volume on the pacman walk sfx is too high, and with only one audio clip when the pianos crash, it quickly becomes annoying to keep dropping them. I do like the style, and the effect of the piano destroying is great, but another pass on the audio would be wonders. And I do find that it takes quite a bit of time to kill an enemy.
I think this is a great idea, and has great style, but the difficultly curve is a bit harsh. There should also be more feedback to when you get shot. I didn't know what was happening the first few times I died, because I just got pushed off the platform, I didn't know if i hit a bug or something.
pretty great game, well put together. wish i was better at knowing when to let go to hit the big crowd
looks cool, and very fitting of the AitD homage, but the controls are a little too much like that era. Some less clunky controls and a run key would bring me back to this. When I died the second time is when I stopped, because I didn't want to do all that awkward walking again.
i like the concept. music is hella annoying, and I like polka. it would have been nice to have other sfx going on. a sheep game without sheep noises feels, well like it's missing something.
interesting game. gets to be a little boring, and the music doesn't seem to fit for me. but definitely nothing wrong with this entry and i did enjoy playing through to the confession. I think though it would be good to have a randomized silly confession text box when you win, as a reward for playing... it is the confess-o-magic after all.
Ok, there there is a lot of dialogue at the beginning, which is good because it should you put a lot of time thinking about the backstory, but I started to feel hammered by text. especially the one where there is so much text in the chat dialogue that the font becomes super small. I don't know if its a translation issue, but sometimes saying less is saying more.
I think this looks and sounds great, but I had trouble playing. When I got to Rocky I couldn't get him past two points, and my inputs seemed to be lagging to the actual action. maybe the os/x build would be better for me.
its a nifty idea. hope you keep working on it
I think this has a neat look to it, but controls are difficult, and there are some collision issues throughout the level. I fell through the floor at some point, and I was able to walk around the bridge at the beginning instead of over it.
art is amazing, and audio is amazing. this game has great feels. I do feel like audio triggers were a bit off, unless it was intentional, the music didn't seem to kick in until well into beating up my first dude. wish there was a little more going on with the button-mashing/difficulty of the game, just so it felt more in like with the classic beat-em-ups from my youth.
Makes me want to play Typing of the Dead again. Fun game, and nice style too. Would have like to see more variety with the words, but I understand you were trying to create a theme with the different enemy types.
unfortunately there was no one else playing when I was, so it made the game a "press the 'lid' button simulator". Potentially interesting, but quickly boring.
ok, so I think this is a great looking game, but the html5 build is tiny in size and its hard to see anything. it made it hard to play with a lot of visual stuff going on with the screen at once, plus the weird 2.5d play field, and the tiny screen. I want to love this one, i do, but i need a fullscreen version, or something.
i like it. simple but silly, wish there was a bit more audio, the beginning was silent.
I loved the slow mo, but it sorta made the good music annoying to me. it was just the stop/starting of it. this game is really fun to play, and as everyone is saying has a lot of polish to it.
While I approve of the message, i couldn't hear any audio, and the gameplay lead me to beat it very quickly, which reduced the impact of the message. I would like to see more of a build up to the message so that it hits harder
simply beautiful.
the game is a little frustrating, but looks good and well put together
This was so much fun! The idea is great. The music fits perfectly and the entire mood is spot on. I only wish we could see some of the unconventional deaths. that might be too far but it is what I need!!!. Really great job!
very clever. it was difficult but really fun to play. it wa a struggle to get past 2 caves
This is a pretty good little game and i had a lot of fun playing it.
the slow mo was awkward, and took a bit for me to realize it wasn't broken. its just too much a difference in continuity that it was hard to read as slow mo.
I pillow fought through the nothingness. I definitely think you were going in a good direction.
i think this is a very interesting mechanic, but it is a bit difficult. its a weird challenge trying to get the eggs lined up right. but thats part of what makes it so interesting, that and the visual style
there is something interesting with turning space harrier into a weird tennis game, i will say that
I think there is a nice bit of polish on this game, but controls and collisions are a bit wonky and make the game difficult.
there is just not enough opening in the beginning to get a feel for controls before you die.
it seems very strange that there are GUI controls to move the camera and player, but then you can move the player using WASD, causing you to go off screen. I ended out not spending a lot of time with this because I wasn't sure what I was doing, and when it said "tap to attack" or whatever, I kept click without it doing anything. the when it finally did something it said i died. i felt i didn't have feedback as to what i did wrong.
I think this has great style, but it is a bit tough to figure out what to say to people. it does become a bit of try everything to see if anything works.
visually looks good, and the millennium falcon gave me a chuckle. could use more variety, but its a compo entry, so thats ok
I think you have a nice style, and you manage to set a mood still with that short demo.
art is fantastic, and I think it is a clever mechanic with the sword.
well clearly the most amazing part about this is the art and animation.
I love the mood that you created, but the monochrome look makes things a little difficult to know what I'm looking at. Im not sure how much this actually fits the theme of the jam, unless the unconventional weapon is all the keys and levers used to destroy the locks on the gates.
Ok, so I'm cool with an interactive music video, but there's really should be more going on to make me actually want to move around in the scene. there really wasn't anything to visual different with me involved, I can just stand there and experience the same thing. as far as fitting the theme? well you're stretching that out thinner then a white castle burger.
i think this looks good, sounds good and is a pretty great puzzler idea. physics and controls can use some work. I would frequently get stuck on the steps, because the force to jump was being dampened by the side wall. also you can get too much velocity. I think it was when I created a bubble on an enemy, he floated to the top. I was underneath and created a bubble around me, and the speed of his fall pushed me through the floor. Also some levels have no ceiling, so you can float forever. which does sounds peaceful actually.
I've learned to actively seek out your game jam games because I love how they look and sound, and this is no exception. it is a bit difficult, and it's frustrating not to be able to choose to melt or build, but the invert aim was very helpful. Now i'm going to reopen the game so i can sit in the title screen and listen to the music some more. Seriously, I would love to learn how you make everything. Now excuse me while I go stalk your tumblr.
I actually like how this game looks, but I wish there was more going on with the audio. and that the "flute" sounded more like a flute, less like a dying trumpet.
that music is a headache machine. and the framerate. i do wish there was a bizarre category
wow, there is a lot going on screen here, made it difficult to assess what was going on. framerate on the web version seems to be real rough, I was getting a lot of slowdown, which added to the difficulty of play. A longer more involved music loop would help as well, it's kinda the reason I stopped playing. the midi guitar is a bit harsh for me.
I didn't read the description apparently, so it was really difficult until i figured out it was a rhythm game! nice game! Playing it made me think of a hard mode with an alien with 3 or more eyes. and a cyclops easy mode.
that was certainly a thing.
couple notes would be that I think the VO levels are a bit loud and the speed is just a tad too quick, but overall very nice. and i love the humor. I do like the vfx and particles a lot, but don't think it blends well with the rest of the art style (of course our game looks like 12 different art styles, so maybe I'm not one to judge :P ).
the art!!! love this, and all the little touches.
the number one thing about this is the fact that you stick to it. support line, "tell us how we're doing" the website address. brilliant.
....resalts....
...
great polish on this, looks fantastic. reminds me a lot of Starwhal
Sound effects are great. The idea is amazing. wish the stages were a bit faster.
I REALLY like some of the graphics. Fun idea. Good thing I remembered how to read for this one.
i really like the idea, but the controls start to get a little cumbersome. well done on your first LD
clever, though my lack of drawing ability becomes more apparent. I think it would be nice if you had muffled audio coming from the hallway of the house as potential buyers walk through. ""oh this is such a lovely and clean house" etc. That would give a greater sense of presence and pertinence to the act of drawing on the walls.
fun, reminds me a lot of those mario party/fusion frenzy mini games where you have to knock people out. wish the rate the enemies knock you back ramped up as time went on, making the beginning a little easier to get the hang of.
a little frustrating with platforming, but it is a beautiful looking game. I do keep thinking it says "Gelato Boy". which makes me want gelato...
clever idea, and nice graphics. but controls are super super fast, to the point where the camera doesn't keep up, and you can't see where your player character is. Also because of this fast movement, I was able to clip through colliders and got stuck in the side of the staff room.
very clever and fun. i do feel the checkpoints need to be a little more frequent, because if you solve on of the movement 'puzzles' then die on the next, you shouldn't have to redo past challenges. though that could be that i wanted to see more of the game, but was spending too much time redoing my mistakes over and over
i love the vfx work on this. something about the music though, it sounded like 2 songs playing at once. asides from that it's a very nice game, but it took me a bit to really grasp what was happening.
I think i killed all the animals.
wait.... is this Frog Fractions 2?
Nobutseriously, these beans never taste right.
(I think this is the first LD game that I will walk away from with quotes I'll randomly say. impressive)
Um,... great. Took a bit to get the hang of it, but i really enjoyed this whole thing. and the art and music are amazing
ok, I don't know if i'm impaired from being tired, but this seems to be stupidly hard. I have trouble getting very far in it, and I'm thinking it's because the controls/gravity switch are quite floated, especially when you play games of similar nature such as vvvvvvv
straight up gotta say i am very impress with the work done in 48 hours, though i wish it wasn't so much like Hotline Miami. I wish it was more "in the style of HM". your gun can shoot heart bullets, but its still a gun, ya know?
awesome job man. also, Wrestlemani-'Za?... yeah no... thats trying too hard. :)
oh man, i was sweating by the end. great idea!
nice game, and i like the look. it's fun but becomes repetitive after a little bit
great art and animation, and fun gameplay, don't know if it really fits the theme though/
great looking game, though i think i need to take a look at the walkthrough to figure out what to do.
cool game, i like the surprise fit of the theme
not a lot of control in the game, so it becomes a lot of chasing the ball hoping to be able to kick it the right direction. and music really doesn't fit the mood of the game
love it. very impressive creating all from scratch
The character graphics are pretty cool. Background could have used some sprucing up. Lot of fun! It is the first game that I actually wanted to finish and didn't feel like I had to. Liked the tweet option too! haha
I kept getting stuck, but the art and animation are so good that I would love to return to a fleshed out version of the game.
This is great! Love the art. I am not sure why playing a game about being stressed at work was so fun, but it was. I feel like it gets too stressed a little too fast though, but maybe that means I'm just a pretty zen person at work.
Love the logo and name! Add a single player and I'm back.
I like the way the levels are set up. The canons were difficult at times. Like the shit talk on the theme.
With the name S.E.A.L. SHARK, and the character design...I WANT TO PLAY THIS REALLY BAD!!! Please post a web version.
I like the art. The idea is really fun. There is too much time in-between rounds. I think it would make sense for each round to consist of 2 jousts so they can turn around and have less lag in the middle.
You had me at "Birds are like dinosaurs" The eating SFX literally scared me the first time it happened. I like the colors used. Would love to have seen a bird not paying attention while pecking a worm from the ground animation, and a big/different colored bird worth 2 snacks.
I feel like this is ahead of its time. :)
Really enjoyed the physics. I like how people are saying "quick little game." I guess was too OCD for this to be quick for me. I had to have everything stacked nicely. haha. I expected the character to not be able to jump as high as it does. I think I would've enjoyed the the challenge of a shorter leap.
I couldn't get the OS/X version to play. :(
I'm a sucker for a trampoline game! The Elf KO animation was funny. Art felt a little stiff. After the KO the elf seemed to stay down for too long, even into the next round. The placement of the trampoline seemed off and could maybe use a shadow. Maybe lowering it so it is in front of the puddle would feel more comfortable. Can't wait to see your 2nd ludlum dare!
So simple and SO ADDICTING! Love the name. Love the victory and defeat animations. Wish there was a bigger animation for winning 3 rounds.
the art is fantastic. the controls were a little rough at the beginning, like i felt the jump was stunted because the double jump sometimes didn't seem to work... i don't know, could be that the movement was so fast it took longer to get used to everything
now I'm in the mood to eat cookies...
the art and animation look very good. I didn't have any sound when playing, though i see other comments about audio so maybe it's just me
Great game. was tough to play on laptop trackpad, but overall a very impressive piece of work
interesting combination of maze game and tower defense, though the wall height plus the tiny magnifying glass makes it real hard to navigate
no audio? nice game within a game, but the scoring seemed to keep adding up even if you died. can't wait for the oculus rift support :P
awesome, very well polished game. controls are good and it has a nice style to it
I found it pretty difficult to get to the meteors before they hit the planet, just seemed like there wasn't much time before they showed up on screen and hit. I could only reach a few of them to block with the shield. well done for 48 hours
I can't seem to connect to your website. I would love to check this out!
looks like it controls pretty well for a VR game. any plans on making work with different input devices?
this looks soooo good, and love the writing. really fun. how do you do all the vfx? i need to know :P
look forward to playing this if you release a Mac build
pretty solid game, wasn't working too well on the web build though (not recognizing input) but the mac build was fine. a little hard to work out the timing. particularly the jump
The audio is great, good job Blake!
its amazing how much polish there is in this game. great job. wish the computer monitor was a little bigger just to have more playable space
tried downloading for mac, said the file was damaged. i tried downloading it twice
I'm really not understanding the controls. moving the mouse doesn't seem to do anything, and clicking the mouse seems to just initiate the game over screen for me
nice looking game, but zoom is a little too zoomed. hopefully you'll keep working on this and add the things you originally wanted to add!
its a nice game, liked the door puzzle, wish there was a "hold down button a shoot" feature. will say that I don't think character dialogue breaking the fourth wall really fits the theme, but its a good game none the less.
solid game. i liked the mood of everything and the puzzles, though the step limit made it difficult at times
overall one of the better games i played this jam. really dug this one
seemed broken to me. on first load the movement got stuck, so if i press forward it would forever walk forward. then on reload of the page, the entire floor was black.
great looking game and amazing polish, but its hard to determine any strategy. and since it was a "pick the ship and go", there wasn't much engagement to the game. would love to see this expanded upon
good use of vfx and polish. some variety in weapons and enemies would really help this game
i like the look of this, and the chiptune sounds really good.
nice, noticed a bug that if you are hiding in the stairwell and press up or down before moving, when you press "e" again to unhide, it will then go to one of those directions on the stairs. guess thats not really a bug, but it was confusing when i pressed to wrong key to unhide, then when i pressed the right one i started to move up the steps
i like the graphics, but its a real pain when you knock the apple off and it roles off screen, causing you to have to restart.
very good looking game with great animation and audio!
beautiful and inspiring... and short. :P wish there was more!
i felt that the controls were just a tad too heavy. just tone it down a bit so that when you hold down a direction you eventually go that way. i just felt i couldn't turn unless i was crawling. also the procedurally generated levels let to some very easy levels with the exit right next to me, leaving a lot of the screen as space i never travel to. sounds like you used Otomata for the music, am I wrong? It sounds well done.
looks good and well polished, how come no sound? could be fun with a few people
cute idea. collisions get a bit sticky though. i would often get stuck and then erased >_<
its interesting some of the polish you have yet the game play is missing. like, it was enjoyable to mash the buttons because there was a lot of good feedback, unfortunately you can't do too much playing. thanks for uploading it though, it really shows you were heading in the right direction. keep working on it! (if you want :P)
very impressive compo entry, it looks and plays really well. one of my favorites
Wait.. the video you linked was from a time-lapse from the last game jam?
enjoyed it, but could use some work with look and sound. and the game closed completely when i died
man, the sound is rough... was that a metronome in the mixdown? wasn't quite sure about the gameplay, seemed like stuff was just... happening that i didn't need to be involved
can't open, says the file is damaged (MAC)
i like the game and the art is very good. as for the music, i don't think its bad, but it doesn't really fit... seems less "music for shooting dinos to" and more "using music already laying around"... it was slow paced, which made the game feel slow paced
needs sound to keep it engaging, and ramping up the gameplay, like eventually having multiple bees
didn't win, :( nice turned based game. only real complaint was that it was kinda hard to see with ability i was highlighted on without reading the text, we slowed me down playing it.
for keeping it short you put together a really nice game, obviously could use some graphic and sfx work, but its fun and a bit addictive.
hey, i met you (or at least one of you) at MGDS last summer (i had the arcade machine)! good to see you jamming! i love the idea, definitely felt like the Sims a bit with the charlie brown teacher vocals. very funny, lot of work with the different channels, and the remote functioned really well. take care, hope to play lacuna passage soon :P
thought it was pretty cool idea, but the controls started acting goofy for me. at first none of the keyboard buttons worked and i had to refresh the page. then when playing i couldn't turn back to the carrot scene
interesting idea, though I'm finding I'm not very good at it. i really wasn't figuring out what the strategy is.
seems like a nice little distraction game, but boy howdy did i have a tough time catching any fish
what do the arrows do? am i supposed to collect them? all i know is i got bombarded by a LOT of dudes.. then i moved to the other side of the screen and a guy spawned next to me.
the gap between the flippers is stupidly big. otherwise its a nice looking game with good sound, and a great theme
oh man.. all those attempts to get up the hill only to have a ball spawn right on top of you just before getting the light...
hrmm... i sat through at least 2 minutes of commercials (though one was admittedly good) to play a 10 second game. don't know how i feel about your chosen hosting site for your game
i don't know whats happening... it keeps saying "game over" in under a second. apparently my brain is not fast enough to pick up whats going on
i had trouble interacting with things, which lead me to holding a bloody hammer standing in the basement when the cops should up... typical Wednesday. using a floor plan as a level layout was quite clever though a little tough to stare at for a while. maybe i should take a break from all these games.
i don't like jellyfish, so i begrudgingly like this game, but when i died i was forced to the center to respawn... where all the jellies were... causing me to die over and over...
haha... im not going to be able to get the phrase "Aweserb" out of my head. swear it said that almost every time.
way to throw it back at the theme " one game on one screen... psssshh." definitely becomes a bit of a ball-bouncing-around simulator though, how does one get good at playing 5 games at once?? great job, love your intro logo
nifty idea with the levels, although the problem i have with it is the first two levels have a really clean look to them, but as the levels get more complete, your tiles become more complex and less pleasing. i wonder if sticking to similar colors per level would help (so you eventually make it through the spectrum). i dunno. still very clever
is there a restart button? had to reload the page to try again. wasn't expecting to collide right into that tree. good job completing your first LD!
What resolution does this need to be set to? i tried a couple, but the kill button only shows a small sliver of it on the screen, and its real hard to click. and the spinning room makes everything very confusing. ludum dare is a great way to learn game development though. its how i learned pretty much. nothing like a short deadline
i would say the gold needs to stand out more, because at first i thought they were just broken bits of rock, so i didn't realize i needed to collect them, i thought i was just avoiding boulders. its a good looking game, sound effects would definitely help with the incoming boulders
I really like the vfx on this, gives it a good atmosphere. its pretty simple, so it does get repetitive, but for less then 24 hours its really good.
this is better then i expected after reading the description. great polish and a fun game. though i didn't quite figure out the scoring, and how i was getting the 3 stars.
i like the atmosphere of this, and i thought the effect was pretty cool, although it started to hurt my eyes (though i did spend all day at work on the Oculus so that probably didn't help)
well done, wish i was better at puzzles ...
bah.... why do i even try... this is such a great idea and use of the theme!
Powerpoint is a bold choice. It needs more interaction, but conceptually this is great. looks like ill have to update our sales presentation for the next board meeting :P very cool
simple sure, but I really like it, and it's very well made.
love it, but i can't catch up to the train! maybe a few more tries...
Lovely thing you have here. it's brilliant looking.
clever setup for this game. although i liked when the popup text was talking over each other, it did make it a little hard to read. well done on the game!
its simple, but fun. I thought the numbers on the cubes were a nice touch. a good way to keep players informed without added UI
I kept burning my corn and packaging boiled water :P... i thought i knew how to cook. great game.
LOVED the opening animation
not make for laptop trackpads :P
I liked it, but felt like the controls were a little off.. just didn't seem to respond to me quite right (laggy)
I LOVE the music for this one
jams are a tough time to learn an engine. though you end out learning something from it, which makes it a really worthwhile experience
very nice art
i dig it
would be cool if there was more abilities to dodge fire, and bullets came at you at different heights.
santa needs to invest in more hats.... and hat stands.
Rad.
nice job completing your first LD!
needs more Snowguins.
really like. and my dog approves as well. love the zoom out.
Looks great and sounds great. but after dying a bunch and only reaching 3 campfires its a little tough. perhaps clues (animal tracks) or something to help kinda point you in a direction
nice job buddy, needs to be faster paced though.
Nice idea, music would have really been rad. Cool game!
Very Clever game. Im a fan.
was a little hard to play on my laptop, but its a great entry, and nice looking
Having trouble on Mac. When pressing Enter to start, the game crashes.
great idea doing a tactics game
Very Cool.
Nifty Idea, curious as to the thought behind the volume/static slider and it limiting visibility? I thought it was a great idea that you are kind of trading off one sense for another, but since there wasn't other sound effects it didn't really matter too much... just curious as to what you were going for
This was such a fun game and the music was just outstanding!
This is really something, great job!
Pretty challenging game but in a good way. Like the mood of it and the gameplay, good job.
that is what they would call a mobile-friendly mechanic. nice game!
great job. it ran slow for me (maybe my connection issues) so that kinda got in the way, but it's a great looking game
Really liked the story and the dialogue! Graphics were also very nice. Fun game!
I really liked the cute style of the graphics, the music was a bit too intense for the mood but good gameplay overall. Well done!
I really enjoyed the mood of this game and the art was awesome. Definitely nice looking as well.
Short and sweet. Nice graphics and sound. Really enjoyed it!
an amazing entry. seriously impressive for 48 hours
great looking game. the submarine kinda reminded me of the mighty boosh for some reason. might just be it's animation. i like it!
fun, but the audio wasn't working for me (Safari)
a lot like Super Crate Box, but it's fun. great art style! the graphics stuff is pretty cool
very addictive puzzle game. i could play this for hours.
like the style a lot. could use some more sfx. definitely found my self playing it for quite a bit.
very pretty looking game, and relaxing to boot
good job as a first stencyl game. i would like to have the shoot button be held down. my "z" finger got tired.
Really really well done. color me impressed.
nice, like the slow-mo, and the overall style. also feel the need to watch Tremors now for some strange reason. . . agh who am I kidding, I always have a need to watch Tremors.
Very good, innovative, clever and thought out. really enjoyed it
Funny, made me giggle. Cute idea.
Cool idea, would like to play it with sound.
Getting stuck on the pipe too and the controls were a bit confusing. Cute idea.
Good. I beat it and it was fun.
Controls were a bit difficult and sound would have been nice, hope you add it.
excellent. i would love to see a post about it's development
Pew pew! :D
Very very good looking game. overall presentation is top notch.
great art and style. the controls/animation need to be a bit tighter to make it a little more playable. I found myself hitting the vast majority of obstacles, even though i started jumping/ducking well before hand
after reading the comments i wish i continued playing a bit more. when i noticed the similarity to Sortie en mer, i though maybe there was not win state. just i shouldn't give up so easily. hey! i learned a lesson!
fun. love the combo meter, and the backstory of the game is girlfriend-approved.
could use some audio, also it seemed to run slow, but don't know if that's my computer.
Love it. fun and cool.
great idea, love the concept. the Portal-style negative commentary, not so much. it works for that because Glados is a character, were as here it only stands in the way of a a lovely game
Dexter the video game! had some issues with collision for the kill though that was a bit frustrating.
Cool, haven't played much like it. If you're only seeing the audio clip, try a different browser (i.e. Chrome)
gave my mouse a run for its clicking money. great! good atmos
wooorms... solid game. but yea that collision noise... my ears!
Nice one. although... i have a game we are working on with a somewhat similar name... we may have ourselves a Candy Crush trademark situation between us :P
great job, keep it up!
Nice looking game. a couple of things, the collision on the entrance of each level is just short of evil. Either remove it or widen it. Also it did some goofy crash on me when i picked up the weapon on the third stage, maybe it was just a problem with my Safari
Beautiful game, but where is the "the real Beneath the Surface starts here" note button for me to warn other players :P
good looking game, would like to play it with some audio running if you keep working on it.
Good presentation art and sound, but I couldn't figure out the digging! I swear I was in the right spot, but nothing was happening.
controls were interesting, but like the others said, having to start and stop for the candle wasn't the greatest. i like the idea of a shift to sneak slowly key.
Well Done. the sfx of the oxygen level or hull being low (the droning pulse) is a great sound. i want it.
Love the Mood, the vibe and the presentation. How come Presentation isn't a category… it should be. I give you 5 stars for that. congrats!
Ahh… a facsimile of today's skilled workforce shortage crisis. :)
very neat. nice bit of extra affect with the train
well made. music loop could be longer, after a few levels it feels pretty repetitive. Also, a few graphics/art pieces to give it the "moon mole" vibe would be good.
also, i found that just swiping back and forth in the center of the screen pretty much did the job, didn't have to move the mouse around that much.
good job!
I was having a real fun time playing this until i got stuck in some trees, then quit playing before I realized there was a reset button. very very good. and the art! hot damn.
Ok... so awesome idea... fun to play. But, and I dont know if was just me, but after hitting the first energy quant or whatever it was call, the audio went from cool to wicked annoying real quick. Like it just got stuck on a bitcrunched white noise. and it stayed the whole time i played.
This is stupid. You're telling me it took you 48 hours to make this!?! Psshh... weak. Do better next time. (Yeah, that will teach him to make and absolutely amazing game in 48 hours and making me feel like I should stick to mopping bar floors with my face, as that's what my skills amount to.) This game made me feel pretty crappy about myself, which is actually a complement in the highest regards. This game is amazing... :(
nice use of twine. 5 stars on innovation.
very fun. great vfx. coulda used a little longer music loop though :p
Glad to know you plan to keep working on this. gonna keep my eye on it.
i'm an american that watches too much british telly for this to not be confusing. i do think an outrun style POV would have been helpful. but this was still fun
Oh man, that win screen angered me. thought the game broke! good mechanic.
really like this game. question, are the cactus and gear change random or placed? It would be brilliant if the cactus placement and gear box patterns matched up, giving the possibility of a perfect run if gear changing was done at the right moment.
i opened this game then during 'play' left and forgot about it for a bit... when i came back im pretty sure i saw the eyes get bigger....
Was anyone else slightly disturbed by the mirrored potato background? *potatowhisper* What was that? Are you there potato? I... Obey....
I liked this a lot actually, but a level transition when you reach your goal would be really nice.
I like this a lot. the audio was pretty sweet if you ask me. I think i would have liked to see a bit more design go into the boss fight, cause it can give you a 'stuck' feeling. but, you know, game jam... so overall, great!
Great Audio. gameplay is fun, but a bit unbalanced. so some playthroughs were really short having houses with only a couple little dudes in them.
super dig it!
First, Im super impressed by a visual novel in 48 hours, probably because it takes me forever to write my own scripts. First go through i died, and plan to play again in the future because i was starting to really get into the story. But I don't feel like it fits the theme, but dont take that away as a bad thing. the strongest thing of this type of game is supposed to be the story, which I give 3 thumbs up to... now to finish it...
reminds me of a super retro version of Closure. I do agree with the others' slowness comments. you know what would be cool? if the webpage you put it on had a black background, that way you feel like a tiny guy in a massive world. just a thought. good first entry though.
I like that your skills (fire rate) increased along with the difficulty, thought that worked out pretty well. Did start to experience some potato lag here and there, but that may be my computers lachanophobia.
like the others, as a first time game, not too bad. But some sort of goal or score, and a difficulty ramp to make it more challenging as you play would be really nice. also, more variety in sound effects, enemies explode in different sounds or something
I had trouble playing, framerate was too potato.
that is such a cool way to do graphics man... in a weird way the game reminds me of that old genny/snes pacman game were he walks around on an adventure... dont know why... wonder if i still have that... *off to dig through boxes*
this proves potato theme the best theme
I liked it, especially the art. but i dont know if it didnt load or there was none to be had, lack of sound is a big killer for me. I find it to be one of the best ways to give feedback to the player. i think if you threw some sfx down, it would go from "that's cool" to "that's amazing" for me. definitely wanna keep my eye on this one.
Hrrmmm,,, wouldnt the minimalist thing to do be to just get rid of all the furniture and sit on the rug? I think I should get zero points because I pressed the score button without any furniture. :p wait... zero would be good right?
Worked fine in Safari. Also, nice game.
This is a really interesting puzzler. my two cents: I'd like the camera to be zoomed in a bit, and the Zeph a bit more opaque. after playing a while I went for the big combo scores, and then it became too much for my brain. I kept losing track. But it was very enjoyable!
I can't tell you how much I liked this one... because I didn't.
Nah, im just effing. I played this game for the longest so far. (was that a sentence?) I got sucked in.
I kinda want to get all of the characters in this game as like a big collage tattoo.
I really liked this. I know right? thought provoking commentary. I really liked the look, and the great choice of colors. gameplay was simple, but enjoyable. I feel like music would've been nice... but not like, full on music. just like a periodic stealthy cello riff.
simple, or simply entertaining? love it.
The execution for this was solid. had a nice vibe. The objects interact would be cool as brxtr posted
Here I was thinking our game would be the only one with a hipster in it :) I dig it!
this game was pretty sweet. awesome mechanics. One little gripe, the sfx. The music was awesome, but the game show sfx took me out a bit. But then again it is your dream, so maybe those are the actual sounds you hear... which in that case, perfect!
Ahh, totally fell for the first cave-sicle trap! nice game, once i figured out i could hold the mouse button down.
LD37 — One room (112)
Dot by davidcmcdonald 2017-01-03T01:24:00
Audio was very good and the game is strangely addictive. I liked the color changes. created a fun mood. Pretty fun for something made on a train for 5 hours. Pretty cool.
Karl: The Evening Hanger-About; The One Room by prozacchiwawa 2017-01-03T01:12:00
I like the look of the people a lot. I found the controls a bit awkward and I couldn't use the elevator at all, assuming entering it worked like the doors. I could never get passed the the cop b/c when you enter a room to get away the gameplay on the outside just pauses, so he is always there waiting for you. Cool idea. Would like to see a finished version. Nice work!
The Night before Christmas by fyhr 2017-01-02T23:44:00
Good first entry. The mice(?) were really fast and I wasn't sure if my weapon was doing anything. It takes too many shots to kill the mice especially with how fast they move. Would be cool if bigger baddies needed more shots but the mice were one shot, but it sounds like you may have planned for more baddies like that. Look forward to seeing your second LDJAM entry next time around.
Inside The Box by illblew 2017-01-02T23:37:00
Cool idea, but both play throughs it wasn't clear what happened when I died or if I could have stopped it. Picking up objects was weird since the cursor also controlled head movement. Had a creepier vibe than I was expecting. Nice work.
No More Monkeys by lucentbeam 2017-01-02T23:20:00
Really great! I've never played a jumping on the bed game. I also happen to love sock monkeys. I do wonder who bought her all those sock monkeys? Those things are expensive!... unless you make them. Enjoyed gameplay and the art very much. After hitting a monkey it would bounce you somewhere random, which was annoying until I figured out you could change your landing a bit. Fun game!
RAINWATER (is free) by yuigoto 2017-01-02T23:04:00
Art and animation is great! Cool vibe. I wasn't exactly sure why I was losing to be honest. If there was a timer I didn't notice. I made top 10 tho! haha
I wish there was a little noise when the bucket is full and that the player stopped a but more precise. Very addicting gamplay! Nice job!
Fear of Magic by pressxtoskip 2017-01-02T22:47:00
I really like the mood and look of this game, but I couldn't figure out what to use of combine. I kept trying to combine different things and nothing worked. After a while it stopped telling me if combining did or didn't do anything. It looks so cool, I hope to see an updated version where more funny combos are seen, even of they don't help you solve the puzzle.
My Son's Adventure by FlyingBokChoy 2017-01-02T22:18:00
I really wish this was longer and had more emergencies from the son. Art and mood worked very well together. I am not sure if I won or if the game glitched, but the son was very full and strong. Then the clock stopped ticking but sound and menus still worked. I couldn't move to new locations either. That was my second round. 1st round my son died after 3+ days cuz I worked for too long. I would play a larger version of this game.

Mercenary: Breakout! by dreamingdice 2017-01-02T21:35:00
The art and animations are REALLY great! The music is cool to. Not sure if it fit the mood/style of game, but still very good. I wish there were keyboard buttons for the controls. It is pretty hard to play. Maybe I need to play more but it seems like at a point there is no way to win. Would like to see updates/future versions. Really great submission.
The Last Room by LozzaDawg 2017-01-02T21:15:00
I was a bit confused about what was happening or what I was suppose to do, but I really dug to art style. I am always impressed by people that teach themselves new things and do stuff like this. I am really interested to see what you do in future jams.
The Last Trip to Riverside by ZYXer 2017-01-02T19:23:00
Love the visuals and the mood. I wish there was a way to skip the opening scene, b/c ........I die a lot...Just like in any game I play. I wish there were more sound FX to help build the world, but what is here is still great. I think the death from cold come a little too quick. I will absolutely be coming back to play more of this. Hope there is a full game on the way!
Your first room by Naca 2017-01-02T18:46:00
Very simple. Surprisingly addictive. I played it through twice, b/c the first time when the fetus becomes baby sized I got stuck spinning at the bottom of the womb. Second play worked great. Lots of crying. Cool for a quick play. Would have been cool if the gameplay looked like ultrasound footage. Nice work!
GhostGun by pyokoanarogue 2017-01-02T01:57:00
nice. was a little difficult, kept seeing my tombstone!
Banira Shio by etherealWhisper 2017-01-01T23:06:00
Very nice game. I like the controls, but it did take a bit for me to realize that i was matching the cards to hair color.
Zomploder by TechXSoftware 2017-01-01T22:34:00
Speed was a little quick for me, but it was nice that it was different then I expected. I'd like to see gun upgrades, because the zombies get overwhelming quickly.
Code Red by oultrox 2017-01-01T16:54:00
superb. very fun game with lotssss of polish. control wise, the spots where you needed to jump and then wall climb never really worked out well for me, because it required you to do like a double tap to grab while moving left or right.... it just didn't jell for me. but overall excellent work.
Arena 3000 by automatonvx 2016-12-31T16:18:00
controls are a little difficult for this type of game. For me, i'd like to see twin stick shooter controls, either with a gamepad or keyboard and mouse. that way you have some analog control in your movement.
I'm the Last One by Piotrek 2016-12-31T16:13:00
nice game. could use an upgrade/new weapon drop system to scale up the action as you play. as of now it becomes a bit repetitive. also an idle animation... currently the dude is running in place! must get tired after a while :P
We are going to play this game. Cause its a really great game. by angela 2016-12-31T01:48:00
I didn't have a clue what was going on until I read the other comments. definitely some bugs though.
Unfinished Shaman Game Demo by alexmakovsky 2016-12-31T01:36:00
Art is super nice looking, its a shame that it's not finished.
The Man and The Whale by Stavu 2016-12-31T01:31:00
Love the art style, When I went to play it didn't appear that anything worked, but other comments seem to state they were able to eat fish... so... bug?
Needle in a Neighborhood by Budaniel 2016-12-31T01:22:00
I get the idea, but I apparently don't have the patience to find the needle. I noticed in a few houses the walls dont connect, and you can clip through into the room.
Monstra by UgiWithAKnife 2016-12-30T03:23:00
I like the concept a lot, as well as playing the music when the action is happening, and pausing it when making moves. would like to see more.
Budget Mortuary by comatomatoes 2016-12-29T23:59:00
this is a hoot. I love the squishyness of everything. what is happening to this town by the way!?!
Dwarfsplosion by fabsy 2016-12-29T23:53:00
this is a fun one to play... a little difficult though. I have yet to find the exit and die many different deaths. Controls on the joysticks are a little wonky, just because there is no analog movement, so there are deadzones in the controller response in the angles. made it a little hard to turn because I had to have the stick at a specific point.
Jack Burgtun & The Chinese hell of sick little children stuck in ONE room by Somelife 2016-12-29T20:28:00
nice job... i need to work on my typing speed apparently.

nice job, feel like I got suckered for playing as long as I did.
Complete Amateurs Christmas Card Maker 2016 [OFFICIAL] by peterthehe 2016-12-29T20:09:00
I appreciate the weirdness of this... and with luck a few friends will as well!
Puppertrator by NotExplosive 2016-12-29T16:58:00
super well done, and great presentation. I think I might be a good detective because I just went with the first one i saw a picture of... doggy instinct.
The Classroom by palsina 2016-12-29T14:44:00
very well done. Lighting and sound effects really set the mood with this one. I'm going to have to look into MagicaVoxel, because this jam has had some really nice looking games using it, including yours.
Ernő & Rubï by Mike Mezhenin 2016-12-29T14:28:00
Super awesome concept. this is a beautiful thing, I can picture a series of these in an interactive art exhibit.
One Room Dungeon by Trasevol_Dog 2016-12-29T14:20:00
very well executed. I didn't quite grasp if it matter which direction I moved in after the level, but after reading your description it makes more sense.
Keyhole by Gord10 2016-12-29T03:23:00
I like this, it's a little short... feel like it could use more of a build up (though i don't know the original story). you could also do even more with sfx and audio/music to really build up the atmosphere.
FUNRiDE! by SUNFURY 2016-12-29T03:10:00
good job. I think the art looks really good, but it's a shame the UI and menu doesn't match. My guess is running out of time since you are using the default UI look. Controls seemed a little loose for me. I feel you were going for the Mario Party type mini-game where people are on big balls rolling and bouncing into each other, and thats what the controls felt like, but to me I would want to see the controls a bit tighter to match character designs.
I love the menu with being able to select your controls, I thought that was a good touch, and its fun, which is awesome.
Recursion by KaiseanGames 2016-12-27T18:50:00
I like seeing games with clever puzzles, the issue is there needs to be a bit more in the environment to help guide the player. Like the X's are the ground were great, expect it wasn't really intuitive to look for the 3rd one on top of the boxes.
Tangent by rxi 2016-12-27T18:10:00
super great game. i like it a lot, just wish the controls were a little tighter for the platforming.
FACE MAN by Claw 2016-12-27T03:29:00
this is awesome. I'm trying to think of some feedback but I can't because I just want to play it again.
Conștiență by Uliana Galich 2016-12-27T03:12:00
good art and atmosphere. didnt see an ending, so im thinking maybe a bug? good job though
Christmas Time by Jon Reid 2016-12-27T03:05:00
super clever, not sure if i've ever seen anything quite like it!
I'M IN A BIT OF A PICKLE by j_peeba 2016-12-27T03:03:00
super goofy, i like it!
SPAB by Spab 2016-12-27T02:59:00
clever game, though the movement controls were a little difficult to get used to.
Subway Taxi by ambi 2016-12-27T02:54:00
All I know is I killed a lot of people and lost a lot of money real quick. and bought a lot of gas.
Ask Her by Sorak86 2016-12-27T02:48:00
i thought this was really interesting, but I dont know if I ever would have found the end without looking at your spoiler document.
Disco Vampire by MixBulfreak 2016-12-27T02:34:00
it's a nice looking game and a good concept, but its not really a rhythm game since the lights dont match the music, and it's quite difficult.
O No! She's Grabbing the Mic! by youngbrothers 2016-12-27T02:30:00
this is a weird funny thing. congrats on your first Ludum Dare!
Space Junk by imphenzia 2016-12-27T02:22:00
good job. it is difficult though. a little tough to judge depth when collecting new air.
Destroy the Cubicle by avocadojoe 2016-12-27T01:37:00
kinda buggy (not surprising given the time). but this could be a fun concept.
My Name Is LD-37 by goncalo-monteiro 2016-12-27T01:20:00
good mood, but it is a very short short story. Also, i dont think there was a text for turning on the wifi, which made me think it was bugging out.
12 Angry Tenants by Coauctor 2016-12-27T00:44:00
great overall game. I wish there was a little more guide as far as how to get ROI.... but a little playing and it can be figured out i suppose
Total Eclipse of the Heart by FcValise 2016-12-27T00:34:00
Got to say, this one is super innovative at the cost of being understandable... I figured Im looking at the same room from 4 directions, but i could not figure the reason my player would change movement plane.
DISCOCUBE by BathPirate 2016-12-27T00:26:00
super polished, though i cant say its very innovative. it has a nice style which is always good, and it was fun to play
Obelisk by Almax27 2016-12-27T00:07:00
nice looking game, fun to play. music seems to be a bit of a mismatch.
Cardboard Drift by Ping78 2016-12-26T23:36:00
nice job, feels like a complete game with the menus and multiple tracks.
Come On Up by Gumboot 2016-12-26T23:25:00
this is a good game. what I mean is that it is a fun, and super playable experience. the animations are really good as well. This really would have taken the cake if there was some audio to it... just a little even would have gone a long way.
Little Tokyo by FlyingMeta 2016-12-26T23:08:00
as you know, there is not much to this besides stacking blocks, so gameplay is a bit boring. but it has nice art and atmosphere. the physics seem to be a bit finnicky, as blocks were flying away from my mouse when I let go with the slightest movement.
Good Impression by Ellian 2016-12-26T22:26:00
great job... I got an F because I panicked. I had some issue with controls where I would stand on an object but couldnt see what I was on top of.
Elves with Shelves by Fantasieleben 2016-12-26T22:13:00
Tried playing this solo... wasn't quite sure what was going on. Not very intuitive. perhaps it needs multiple people playing, but it let me just have 1 person joining, so my guess is it's not that.
The Box Sorting Extravaganza by jamesy012 2016-12-26T22:08:00
I like the concept. but with the auto snapping of stuff onto shelves, I didnt feel like things were going where i wanted them, which also made it pointless to shelve them, since i would fight with the shelving to get what i wanted off to the truck. it became easier not to sort things.
Bouncing Balls with the Boing Boing Boys by Sean 2016-12-26T22:04:00
good job. the movements felt good, but I wish you couldn't take damage from yourself, or that the things you shot would go away after a little bit of time. as of now the game can be awfully short with so much bouncing around. also I'd recommend putting a simple AI player in if someone wants to play it single player... generally works out well for jammers to play by themselves.
Humanity Walks Into a Bar by Lipedal 2016-12-26T21:56:00
nice. took me a bit to figure out my involvement (breaking up fights mostly). At first with the SFX I thought clicking on them was an attempt to kill them :)
Anywhere but Here by alexfoo 2016-12-26T21:39:00
i think the idea is really good, and it looks nice. the web build was running a little hot on my laptop, so framerate was a little low. other then that this was really nice. I can see this becoming like a mansion with doors to different worlds/dimensions.
Loop Hell by axoona 2016-12-26T21:31:00
thought i played and rated this game before, but apparently not! maybe it didnt submit. anyway, great job, love the look... not sure if it constantly loops or if it ends, i think i figured out a solution, but didnt repeat all my steps to do it since I'm lazy and it's the holiday.
Keep Listening And Everybody Explodes by grandtheftmarmot 2016-12-26T21:27:00
really good. it was annoying to have to hear a voice in the background, of course I believe that is the point! great job
Broken Breakout? by timgarbos 2016-12-26T21:15:00
really good. the one thing i didnt like was having to drag the mouse out of screen to hit the bricks. like, i wanted the camera to follow or something so i could still see what i was doing.
TILT Service by Birke 2016-12-26T21:10:00
short, and not very interactive, but you did a very nice job with making art with tilt brush. I think that is a very clever idea for making a quick prototype for a 3d model, and seems like the perfect thing for a game jam.
Walkie Talkie by managore 2016-12-21T18:29:00
whhaaaaaat.... this is incredibly clever and unique. Like, I'm struggling fathoming it. I'm beyond impressed.
Non Euclidean Room by NuSan 2016-12-21T18:20:00
stellar job, has a great look and it's a good concept. I could see this being turned into a full game
Spell Bear by torcado 2016-12-21T18:08:00
well done Torcado. I think it has a good ramp up with difficulty offset by increasing your skills. I believe there were occasions where i was losing 2 health at once (i think i was shot and ran into an object at the same time). maybe start the invincibility frames a little sooner? i dunno. anyway great job!
Room King by Mnemusyne 2016-12-21T17:13:00
great entry. Im a fan that the controls are a bit silly. one issue I had though was because you randomize the placement of the carpet, I had a couple of times where it spawned directly underneath a player, for an instant win of that round... that's not a fun thing.
Karate Basketball by SeaDads 2016-12-21T16:04:00
This is incredible. Sooo polished. My only complaint is seeing my main boy Delly on the same team as Green... that's some Twilight-Zone stuff to me!
Toy Box Metropolis by SecondDimension 2016-12-21T15:58:00
This is really good. I like the style and mood of the game. I will say I felt a little directionless, and was making a city to make one, not really to hit my objective. not that it wasn't fun to do, but if you want more focus on completing objectives, maybe include progress reports at the end of each turn to help focus the player
Strongholder by moomoomango 2016-12-20T21:13:00
love the look. didnt stick with it too long, but maybe more variety in enemy types to feel you need specific weapons purchased, like air attacks.
Ilirium Orb by luke 2016-12-20T21:07:00
great job. really like the art. wish I read the controls a bit better so I would have known to heal turrets
Ever-Changing Room by Berserker44 2016-12-20T21:01:00
controls are a bit tough, and it would be nice to cycle back and forth through the colors. but those transitions are super rad. absolutely fantastic.
clapclap by Emile Danger 2016-12-20T20:52:00
hilarious. I hope this wins for the Humor category (which is saying something because we were trying to have our game be funny as well)
Room Fight by NeverAutomatic 2016-12-20T20:50:00
Super clever. I love the concept! I do agree that something like an ending boss room would be great. it would give reason to collect and save a bunch of your troops for the last room.
The Library by Stending 2016-12-20T20:48:00
this is an amazing unique entry, and I'm super impressed. the art is beautiful and the overall mood is just perfect
FIIL Mark 37 by martincohen 2016-12-20T20:46:00
fantastic compo entry. well done!
Dark room by cushycode 2016-12-19T16:35:00
My first round, I found the cat in a couple seconds, but my next round I spotted him and then stumbled into furniture. By the time I got there he was gone! Really fun idea. I think it would have been awesome with eerily slow Christmas music and sfx. If you have a post comp version, it would be fun if the cat meows and gets away after you catch him a couple time in one round and then 3-4 catches in a row makes you a winner. The noise from stumbling into furniture should scare the cat to a new spot.
Fun stuff!
You're tearing me apart by Noah Ratcliff 2016-12-18T20:38:00
Okay... I...how...WHY ARE THERE NO PICTURES OF SPOONS! Haha
I wish the time was longer and i was a little thrown of by the controls, but there is a weirdly satisfying element to playing it. I love the idea of it being inspired by the room and having Tommy tearing up the place, but I wish there were more nods to the film. Like being a vague recreation of their living room or just SPOONS. Very funny/unique idea! I actually would really love a full game of this where you have to tear up different sets from the movie. Especially the roof and the flower shop. Just please start the game with random b-roll of san fran.
Xenopunch by Pietro Ferrantelli 2016-12-18T20:11:00
I LOVE YOUR GRAPHICS SO HARD! The mood and music were perfect! Gameplay was really fun. I kept getting stuck in the stands with the aliens in the audience on the right. I had to button mash until it let me out.
I really wish there was a pause and a way to earn life back once or twice a round. It is so polished looking. I would for sure love to see a full game with more levels and arenas.Pretty Rad!
Monk VS Demons by Mod_k4 2016-12-17T21:29:00
It escalates very quickly, but really fun to play a few rounds. It would have been amazing if the the main demons were a bit slower, but you had a different color demon that was a bit faster pop up now and then. Fun entry! Nice work!
levelone by dietzribi 2016-12-17T21:03:00
This has a really great mood and surprisingly an eerie quality to it. Very simple and meta, but I had a fun time trying to get to that second level, because it felt unique. I really like that you broke it down into so many activities. Made it feel much bigger and worthwhile, making the ending very funny and not what I think I would have found disappointing otherwise.
Four Crystals by MistySoulsGames 2016-12-16T18:19:00
This was surprisingly difficult. I had a real challenge trying to get a hang of the timing to make it over the jumps.
the room by rogueNoodle 2016-12-16T18:11:00
this was rad. loved the look and the mood created. a very well designed game
General Room by jeroenwimmers 2016-12-16T01:00:00
I think you can probably tell by the rest of the comments that this is one good game jam game.
Connection is lost by MrJackphil 2016-12-16T00:45:00
good job getting something done, but it does seem to be missing a bit. I felt like there wasnt a warning to what was priority, and the game ends at score 37
One Room Hotel by TerraCottaFrog 2016-12-16T00:41:00
Great compo entry...strangely i want to play Sim Tower now....
Open House by The Mad Strauss 2016-12-15T18:35:00
Nice job! good work on the art and sound as well. It took a bit to figure out the game, since it is a bit complex. I would suggest trying to incorporate the beginning tutorial text into actual gameplay, so that a new player would learn each thing as they played, which would help things stick.
Gogol by BeardyBard 2016-12-15T17:26:00
nice game! I'm going to pay it forward from a comment when we (tried to make) a game like this a few jams back ... Someone's a fan of Super Crate Box :P
RoomOne by Geckoo1337 2016-12-15T16:53:00
I like the look, and it would be fun to play if it didn't completely reset when you hit the death plane (which is a bit far down). That time it takes to redo old steps in order to get back to where you were makes it tough to continue on. I need an easy mode where it respawns you on the last platform with all the stars still collected! :)
TISIC IZIEB by Split82 2016-12-15T16:09:00
Fantastic overall, great feel and a perfect little game. I love seeing this stuff
Pixel Artist Simulator by aamatniekss 2016-12-15T15:58:00
Wow, great art! this will probably most likely truly potentially get you some rad exposure! In the meantime, can I interest you in a personal loan? Lock in your low APR now!
Polygon by jakebooyah 2016-12-15T15:00:00
I thought this was an interesting puzzle game. once I figured it out I was flying through it, but the punishment for failing the second to last room, going back to the beginning, man that is rough.
Freak Arena by Dexyne 2016-12-15T04:50:00
Even tho I didn't really know what was happening story-wise, it was actually fun to play for a few rounds. Shadows under the characters would have been a huge help with figuring where you are in Z space. Or maybe limit the z space to 3 levels (Fore/mid/back) like in some arcade games. Nice work
Super Battle Cycle by PowerSpark 2016-12-15T04:33:00
The sound FX were neeto and the drifting was really fun, but I'm not sure what I was doing wrong. I couldn't get the grappling gun to shoot at all. B/c of that it took me forever to get the yellow box/key over to the lock. Still a fun LD entry.
Blob Catcher by drludos 2016-12-15T04:02:00
Really dig the modified bolo mechanic. I'd like to see more of it. the pause during combos was annoying, but the combo idea was very cool. It gets harder very quickly, but a fun way to drive you crazy for a few minutes.
Ymen - Danger Classroom by grifdail 2016-12-15T04:02:00
love the look, and it's quite fun. add some more audio though and it will really make it come together. Also, good luck with that licensing :P
Tree House Quest by AngrySquirrels 2016-12-15T03:58:00
wow, that's not just a team, that's a whole art department! It's a great game. it does seem to be that you made a game opposite of the the theme, I mean, it's like an open world rpg in this thing!
Hyper Holomayhem 37 by JorgeGameDev 2016-12-15T03:39:00
well done overall!
Monolith by ScreamRawr 2016-12-15T03:34:00
I really like the style of the 2d/3d combo, to the point where I kinda want to try it out at some point in the future. Want to say that the first instruction tells you to interact with the monolith, but it doesn't do anything until after collecting the keys, so that was kinda confusing at the beginning.
Cryogenic by TeamCryo 2016-12-15T03:19:00
well i failed multiple times but it's a good entry! Wanted to note that my first go through, I didn't understand that I was selecting the people to go to sleep, not stay awake, so it was instant game over, and it wasn't initially clear that is what i had done.
Cancelled Refuge by SinclairStrange 2016-12-15T03:03:00
I hate this game... seriously. Just when I finally thought I made myself a decent jam game, I see this s*** that totally blows anything I've ever done ever out of the water. I think this is one of the most completed, well put together games I've ever seen in a ludum dare. multiple characters, levels, and a freakin sound test... i mean common... over achieve much??
INFINIROOM by Patacorow 2016-12-14T21:55:00
Really great. One might even say rad. I'm not sure what the character is, but it looks cool! Grasshopper, maybe? So simple and perfect. Love the game art and the gameplay in general. Music seemed perfect for the game.
BullyBully Classroom by My Sweet Whomp 2016-12-14T18:49:00
I played this all the way to the end and it took me pretty long time. I was lost for the first few days, but it started making sense once I was nice to people. Love the graphics! Wish it was easier to see you was on your side at all times, like a "score keeper". The music worked very well for game. I had fun, but I really wish the was an end screen or something at the end when (I think) I won. It was just a black screen with music. I would love play a full length game version of this. Really Awesome work!
Bear Trap by Reiv 2016-12-14T17:25:00
Beautiful art! I don't know what the music would have been like, but I hope as adorable as the graphics. I always love playing puzzle games, but then I remember My brain cannot handle them and I have to take a nap... nice work! Would love to see a finished version of this after the competition.
Floor is Lava! by #gmdsgn 2016-12-14T04:08:00
Graphics are great! Animations are great! I liked the music, but thought it could have been faster paced to emphasize the urgency of lava. I am equally bad at playing DoodleJump, but this is very well done.
STEREOJO by ChuiGum 2016-12-14T02:08:00
Rad graphics and color scheme! The music is really good too, but didn't entirely fit the mood for me. Wish it had a couple more levels. I wasn't entirely sure I reached the end when it starts repeating the last section. Love the "illusion" gameplay!
Roomba Rampage by PeachTreeOath 2016-12-14T01:36:00
I think I played this game longer than any other LDJAM game I've ever played. I legitimately love it. I want more levels/rooms SO BAD! There is something almost hypnotic about it. The music was simple, but fit the mood very well. Every once in a while it would randomly speed up for a couple seconds, which I think was a glitch. I never thought I'd say this, but I think it is too easy to earn points and upgrade. All in all very solid and pretty great. I'll be waiting for the sequel...
Mars Roomba Rampage: A Cosmic Cleaning.
The Paper Ship by kirilllosev 2016-12-14T01:13:00
Very nice look. I like the simplicity of it, but having to click the mouse felt somewhat tedious after a while. maybe having different row speeds for a long click versus a quick click.
Damage Control by lastnerd 2016-12-14T01:04:00
Nice looking game. Could use more of a ramp up in challenge. also audio would go a long way. like warnings that increase as the ship is about to break, etc.
