Great concept! It felt a touch boring though.

Great concept! It felt a touch boring though.
Pretty awesome, I got stuck pretty early though. Had to get some help :P
I had a lot of fun with this, it gets pretty old though.
The graphics and the audio were great, but it felt really repetitive.
I was looking forward to playing this, but I've no OS X :(
I really enjoyed playing this, but I have to agree with Manest, it gets repetitive, plus it's pretty easy to just charge the enemies and regenerate your health by attacking them while you are being shot.
Pretty fun! I played myself and lost :(
Pretty good overall. :) I like the whole color-mixing mechanic.
Great game, with lots of fun, but the audio glitched out so much (getting really spammy and suddenly loud) that I couldn't keep playing.
Great game! Really enjoyed it!
Pretty neat concept, although there really wasn't much challenge or fun in the game.
hgouvia: Read the controls page. The goal is to connect the nodes (little orb things) into a chain
ddioniso: Try installing the XNA redistributibles
Sestren: Chrome warns you when you download a zip containing an exe from a "non common" site. You shouldn't get the warning if you download it from the mirror hosted on Dropbox instead of my domain.
This was beautiful.
Very interesting mechanic! It could make for some really fun puzzler games. I also really liked rebuilding the map from one tile. Well done :)
Really liked this one! Not so fond of spawning within enemies, and I wish they wouldn't fly through walls at me, but otherwise it's very fun! I think I had the entirety of the circle fighters trailing me at one point...
Liked the use of the message box at the top, but I feel the game could have been executed better overall.
Pretty fun, but movement didn't feel natural.
Pretty cool stuff! Although it doesn't seem like I got any cool ones like everyone else.
Really addicting... It's got all my favorite things, colors, shapes, and counters. Put in my play again folder. :)
The menu options are really neat, but the story was super awesome. That bitch Debbie.
Great game overall, although the music got a little repetitive.
Really nice! I enjoyed playing this a lot, and it's been put in my play later folder :)
I'm sorry, but this isn't a game. This is more annoying than anything.
Very nice overall! I like the "jiggle" effect on the slime.
I'm so depressed now. :(
I'm a terrible red circle.
Pretty cool game, seemed kind of bland though.
Enjoyed it! Nice mechanic.
Very nice mechanic, and I love the use of ten seconds!
That was wonderful! I got really nervous every time I died. When I actually got shot, I flipped out.
Very neat use of the theme!
Rainbow! :D
I loved the game, getting the cloud to stay in there is difficult.
Very fun! I made it 17 days.
Very fun!
Pretty fun, despite the collision issues.
I'm hitting enter but nothing his happening.
Very fun! I loved the audio and the blood particle effects.
Pretty nice game! Loving the dragon's expressions! :D
Pretty cool and challenging!
Loving the monochrome graphics!
Wow. That was dark.
I got a 404 when I clicked your link. :/
Wonderful. That's the only word I can use to describe this game.
Fun as hell!
Pretty fun, although the highest I could muster is 27.
Loved it! I got lost playing over and over.
Very well done! I loved the story, and I loved your use of YOGO.
Thanks for entering the compilation!
Nice graphics, but I'm not too fond of the way goomba-stomp throws you away. Plus it seemed like some times I would get hurt during a goomba-stomp.
Interesting idea! I seem to be able to phase through the other player when running head-on into each other. You might want to think about reworking your physics.
Very fun game! Reminds me of a game I got sent in one of those forwards from grandma years ago, but your game is much better than it ;)
Thanks for submitting your game to the compilation as well!
disdanes: try installing (or reinstalling) the XNA Redistributables. Also a buddy of mine said that he had to run the game in administrative mode, but if I were in your position I'd think that's a pretty sketchy workaround. If you have any more issues please feel free to email me at fussycashew@gmail.com
tacospice: Yeah, sorry about that. I didn't have time to compress things properly. I'm planning on making some improvements tonight and reducing size is one of them. All the assets are scaled for 1920x1080, but I accidentally left it in windowed mode for the release.
I loved it! First game so far that I've wanted to sit and play over and over.
Very fun and well polished. Loved the audio!
Cool idea, but I feel like physics needs to be re-worked. Jumping felt so unnatural that I couldn't climb anything.
Screen was a little big for my laptop monitor, but it was still playable.
Fluid physics... YAY!
The frame rate of the animations made the game feel really jerky, but the particles were neat!
Really neat idea! I'm not to fond of the physics feeling so linear though.
Audio gets a bit wonky at times, and the game could use some overall polishing, but I still think it's pretty neat, and I enjoyed playing.
I really enjoyed this game, the art and audio matched perfectly! Thanks for sending in a clip to the compilation as well.
Loved it! Very fun!
Interesting game, I'm obliged to say this on every game that has linear physics, but my biggest issue with gameplay was the linear physics.
I loved it! Very fun and a great use of the theme!
Very well done audio!
Interesting gameplay! Thanks for the fluid physics.
Red block does not move, and therefore I am sad :(
Really enjoyed the controls! I also couldn't stop playing, despite being hung up on level 3.
Awesome chain reaction! I was in awe the first time I got a large reaction. One thing I noticed though, it seems like sometimes the bullet sprite renders as a white box instead of a red dot. I've heard of other people having the same issue in LibGDX if you happen to be using that.
Really fun! Great to see another XNA dev :)
Really well done! I only wish there were more levels.
Very awesome! I'm a huge sucker for minimalistic and simplistic graphics like that, combined with the soft ping of the ball and the very smooth control scheme this game makes for one of my LD favorites. Bookmarked!
Wow! Really well done! Art, music, and gameplay are just phenomenal.
Short, sweet, and bad-ass! Loved the laser gun, and how it was balanced by the fact that you could easily fall to your death after firing it.
Wow really great overall! If I could have one complaint, it feels like the hitboxes on the objects/player are a little too large, and I always catch myself on the objects I have to jump over.
Nice! Though it seems like the collision detection is a little to liberal, especially near the back of the player.
Nice! Though it seems like the collision detection is a little to liberal, especially near the back of the player. Great music!
That was so deep and then all of the sudden just what. Played through again, sad I got the same path even though I changed my responses. Still a great game!
Very nice! Well done animations and general visual "feel." Did he say "I am the danger," because that's amazing if he did.
Very cute! Absolutely loved the animation, felt good to be hit on by every bug too. Nice meaning, although I wish there were more game to it, but you do only get 48 hours.
Great game! Very innovative mechanic.
Well done! Rare to see a leaderboard in an LD game, and I think it's definitely a nice touch.
Great use of underground without it being obnoxious! Really not sure how to get past the damn blob, and getting back to him takes quite some time so I eventually gave up. Sorry :(
Wow! Music is just phenomenal. Really beautiful. I loved the timing of the movements with the beat of the song. Allowing the song to continue was really what kept me playing, and kept me playing for a long time. Bravo.
Very nice! Loved the humor and the main game art!
Frustratingly difficult, but really fun and beautiful. Very well polished! Great for a jam entry!
Particles! I love particles! Can't say I'm fond of the very liner jumping but I'll make an exception for the wonderful particles everywhere.
Very well done! Happy to see another XNA entry, but it seems like shooting yourself in the foot to deal with XNA 3D instead of just going with Unity at that point. Regardless, great game and great job!
Great game! Lots of content for 48 hours. Nice job!
Really fun! Didn't do so well, however. I think my highest was 130ish
@Lyszie the beam does have audio. It's a soft deep hum. :)
@mrexcessive: I tested on Chrome/W8.1. Odd. Try downloading the windows version.
Super rad! Very slick all around, however the particles can really cloud up the screen, maybe a max particle count and shorter lifespan.
Nice work! The game seemed to hang every few seconds though.
Very cool and innovative mechanic. Well thought out.
Wow, this one hit pretty close to home. Great job. I didn't expect to get so attached to these people.
Well done! Didn't expect to go so far through the realms.
Nice work on game feel! However, I don't see how it really fits with connected worlds.
Well done! Cool and original gameplay.
Wow! Amazing work, although the curvature of the planet made me dizzy at times, haha
Wow!
Just a heads up, I don't believe you can use music you didn't make in the 48 hour compo.
Great sounds effects, loads of silly, love the wide stride. Attacking seemed a little difficult at times.
Wow! Great use of the theme, nice presentation, and fun gameplay! Music was a little repetitive, but it was cool how it got quieter when in one world.
Cool idea, however the accuracy was unbearably bad at times.
Wow! Everything about this is great. Not only do you have a wonderful mechanic, but the level design was well thought out to get the most out of the mechanic. Art and sound were perfect matches to the mood. Only gripe is length, but it is understandable, considering the great amount of polish.
Nice job! Roll combined with jumping made for some awesome flips over the enemies. Also the ragdoll deaths were super rad!
Well done! Great mechanic, and great puzzle design to back it up. Loved the "Papers, Please"-esque title.
Interesting idea! Really difficult.
Interesting! Quite difficult, however.
Fun! Doesn't seem like the reset button worked for me. The critters just disappeared.
I feel so insanely proud that I managed to figure this out without hints
Very well polished. It plays super well, and is really fun. Definitely mobile platform potential. My only gripe would be that some colors are very close to others visually.
Nice use of physics with the bullets and when things broke. That really added to the game feel
This was great from start to finish. Great mechanic added to by the fantastic humor of the game.
Fun! Definitely challenging, though. I feel like some more time before the dog gets to the butter on the start would be nice. Really dig the graphical style.
Super great!
Fun game! Its tough to figure out when the different meats are ready since they have different colors and times for perfectness, but it's a learning process. The voice acting was awesome, it really gave the game character.
Great job! Not only is the game super fun and well put together, but the presentation really tops it off.
Not terribly innovative, but great fun!
Controls felt nice, however I found ESDF vs WASD kind of offputting.
I spent the first couple seconds of the game figuring out where I was on the screen but after that I had a good time! Nice job with the timing for deliveries, not too easy and not too hard.
Despite the odd hitboxes and getting stuck when I run into things, I still had lots of fun with this! Great job!
Wow I underestimated how dizzying that would be when I saw it on twitter. Fun though, and looks great! Maybe if you made the planet a bit bigger so the curvature on the screen is nicer, that would help with the sickness, haha.
Interesting idea! Kind of confusing to play, and having elements overlap on the screen can be annoying, but still fun!
This was exceptional! Great use of the theme, and wonderful meta. Nice graphical style, too. I love it to death.
Happy, quick and fun. Great job!
Pretty fun. Liked how the speed of the boxes went up over time. However, it seems like your ramp-up is exponential, so after some time of a gradual ramp-up, I was slammed with like 10 boxes at one time.
Wow nice job! Great puzzle game. I found the transitions to be somewhat annoyingly slow, and the fact that the snow ball starts moving.
Wow! Very clever take on the theme, and great execution! Well done!
WOW! Very innovative use of the theme, and great execution. Fun to play, awesome feel. I really dig.
Well done! Loved the gibs when something dies. Also love how you just drop in a new player as if they are disposable.
Interesting concept! Very grindy.
Game of the year.
Really unexpected and hilarious powerup. Thank you for the great chuckle.
Getting a 404 on your Windows link :(
Well done! Really enjoyed the juice put into this. It plays well. Music got a little repetitive, imo.
Nice job! Found it kind of frustrating that I could only run on one axis at a time, however.
This game is really fun! I was a bit confused about the actions at the beginning but once I got the hang of it I really enjoyed the game. The time push is a nice touch of pressure and the script was really funny. Nice Job!
Wow! Thanks for the laugh. That was fantastic, unexpected, and perfect.
AMAZING use of the theme, and extremely well polished. Kudos for such an innovative idea.
This is the definition of innovation! Really great work. 5/5 on audio because it just sounded so real ;D
Great mood and atmosphere. A little repetitive, but not bad.
I was able to get myself stuck in the ground using down arrow to drop off of my hook when it was really close to the ground
blork/blork
Really difficult, but very fun. I feel like the movement is just shy of perfect, and with some tweaking could make for a very nice arcade-y feel. Nice job!
Great work! I really liked the use of the theme! However, I found it really hard to hit the little buggers with my commands.
I have no idea what's going on but I think I'm ok with it.
Nice relaxing mood. However, it didn't really keep me for long, as the movement made me a bit sick, haha!
Great use of the theme, and totally on point for me. The Sims was basically a creative murder game to me.
Wow 5/5! It was a bit tricky to catch some of the bullets, but with such an amazing presentation, I could not be upset.
Wow, INCREDIBLY difficult. I feel like the controls were a bit too touchy, and the hotbox on the bird was a little to big. However, still pretty fun and addicting. HS: 14 :(
Funny take of the theme! We had a similar idea early on. Great work overall, well polished.
Great mood, looks great, and plays well. My only gripe is that in the end you don't actually kill him the way you spent the entire game setting up, but that's a very minor gripe.
Really great work! Innovative take on the theme, with a delightfully unique atmosphere. I love it!
Great work! Bonus innovation for some of the tricks you used to get this look and feel in Unity.
Solid game, great mechanic. I really like the small touches you put on the paint effect in the world. However, the game would have benefited from either a faster pace, or some more audio to keep it engaging.
I dazzled all the frazzles and I loved every minute of it!
This is a great use of the theme! Graphically, this game is super solid! However, I feel like the pacing of the game was off. Having to hit R then X every time I restarted was a little annoying, and I feel like the car and flail losing momentum every time it hit something really messed with the game feel.
This game is really well polished for an LD game. Super fun, too. However, I feel like the throw physics were a bit off at times, and this made the game frustrating at some points. Still, great entry overall!
Really neat little platformer! Very nice and polished art and game feel. However, it felt incomplete without any sound effects.
Really innovative use of the theme, and well implemented! I really liked the varying goblins, especially the laser goblins! However, I feel like the controls were a little stiff or unresponsive at times, especially the jump.
Awesome use of the theme. Great work on the music, too!
Really interesting use of the theme! It was also surprisingly engaging. However, I feel there was too steep of a learning curve, and I spent most of my time just guessing at random responses for the personality type, and then getting booted back to the start.
Great work! There's not much to complain about here, except maybe that movement was a little too sluggish to start.
Hell goat rises once again!
Great work! At first, I didn't realize the skeleton was storing this in place of his ribs. When I did, 5/5
Cool concept! I really like relying on the weapon to shoot things and propel yourself. However, it was pretty easy to just skate right over the helicopters and win.
Great art, fun little game. I'm a sucker for fixed/forced movement. However, I feel the game was made extremely difficult by the small viewport, and speed of the mice.
@DaleP: Carried the drugs all the way to the office... You're my kind of guy.
Interesting concept! However, I found it to be too fast paced for the effect to really hit home for me.
Really interesting idea. However, the movement seemed to be very choppy and jarring most times, occasionally freezing altogether. With that, it really killed the pacing of the game for me.
I'm a little uncomfortable now. 10/10
Great use of the growing theme! I love your beautiful palette and how the gameplay matches the look of the game. However, some things were lacking as far as game feel. The music was lovely, but I felt that some foley and sound effects would have solidified the experience. Opening chests and collecting coins felt very shallow and meaningless as there was no audio feedback from these events. That being said, that's a minor complaint on an excellent entry. Great work as always, Joe!
I really enjoyed how well this played! I felt very challenged, but pushed to continue. The ragdoll style of control reminded me a lot of climbing in Gangbeasts. If I had to critique something it'd probably be the audio and graphics. They both were a little rough around the edges but didn't detract greatly from the experience. Great entry!
Great use of two button controls to make a functional platformer! Although at some times the controls led to some awkward moments (e.g. wanting to walk forward just a small amount but jumping instead), overall they were intuitive and worked well with the game.
I loved the art style in this! Really nice use of the theme, too.
Pretty fun, however, very difficult. I feel like if you tweaked some sliders you'd increase your fun value by quite a bit.
Ow.
Absolutely lovely visuals and audio. However, I felt like I didn't have enough time to react to oncoming obstacles. As others have said, this could probably easily be solved with a slightly larger viewport.
Pretty great look and sound. However, I felt like the game was a little too slowly paced, and tedious at times. Overall pretty good!
Mike "downvotes kittens then makes a kittens game" Kasprzak
Really well thought out puzzles! I absolutely loved the voice sound effects. The sliding tiles were a bit jarring, maybe a little acceleration would be nice.
Definitely an innovative concept! I would love to see this idea expanded upon!
Great work! Audio is a little grating, but the gameplay is great!
Really great job for a first jam! It was a bit hard to tell where the center of the screen was, an aiming reticle of some sort would help a lot. It also would have been nice to see the scale in the game adjusted. I know you're supposed to be a toy robot, but the room felt way too big! There was a lot of floor space to traverse, and it felt near impossible at my movement speed.
Interesting concept for sure! I'd like to see it expanded upon.
Neat crafting game, although it was quite unclear what everything did, or how to make combinations.
Feels quite unbalanced, and very difficult. I got pushed into the corner behind the chest by the monsters and could do nothing but die :(
Fun concept! Feels like it could make for a really nice mobile game. I'd like a bit more feedback at the end of the levels though. Some objective ranking of my performance based on bombs used, time, etc. It'd also be nice to see some diversity in level design. I could basically get through every one with a just few well placed bombs on max power.
Great visuals! Although it was short, I still loved the experience! Congrats on your first jam!
2016 truly is the darkest timeline.
(PS I couldn't get your game to run, and I'm assuming others are having the same issue)
I did a little bit of poking and threw your source up on a webserver so people can play :)
http://csh.rit.edu/~noah/LD48/37-Echeract/
Couldn't quite figure out what was going on in the game. I really like where you were going with the concept though!
Great visual aesthetic! It seems like the fencing mechanic could use some touching up, as swinging felt a bit random and the sword felt way too weighty.
Interesting concept, although kind of difficult to play. Perhaps have the paddle separate to the first person view so it is slightly less jarring?
Very well written and some really well done poetic mechanic.
Interesting concept, but it was hard to find any correlation between action and result in some cases.
Great use of ambient audio to create a really nice and inviting void.
Stellar graphics!
Whew! It's been a hot minute since I've seen the XNA redistributables. You might want to consider checking out MonoGame, which is a better supported and cross-platform reverse engineering of XNA.
Interesting game! I'd like to know more about what exactly is going on. I couldn't quite figure out how to get my "work" meter to go up, but I did last for a few waves of the monsters attacking me.
Fun game! Took me a minute to figure out the controls, but I really got into it once I worked them out. The AI is pretty difficult to play against.
Really cute game! It's pretty hard to tell where the boot will land when I stomp. Didn't stop me from getting the spider eventually though ;D
Interesting concept, but I feel like it needs a little more work to really have emotional impact. I like what you're going for though!
Haha! I love this concept, similar to an idea I had early on. Great graphics and visual aesthetic!
WOW this is fun! I thought the camera was a bit jarring at first, but after some getting used to it, it was fine. I really fell in love with the warp mechanic. Very well done!
Great concept! I really like the use of the theme. Controls were fairly tight, and visual juice was pretty rad as well. I'd like the flow between game over and restart to feel a bit better, but great work overall!
