AMAZING! love all the sound effects too. "spuare" :P
amaaaaazing!
fun! and good music/ sfx :D
i couldnt help but say "omnomnom" as i was playing, but i kept getting interrupted by trying to not taking damage. fun and hard! good job
well made :)
Gorgeous game! fun to play, and gave a chuckle or too, although i somehow flipped upside down and got stuck in a block and that pretty much ended things.
hard to understand...
"did it hurt when you fell from heaven" was the first thing that popped into my head. great game :D smooth gameplay, and creative puzzle
my personal high score: 5100 points. Anyone beaten that?
I Love everything about this game! My favorite so far!
what game? this is more of a concept. you should probably have kept working and gone for jam instead
lacks polish, but it's a good, quick game
i loved it at first, but then it started to get boring just doing the same things over and over. i could probably play it for a really long time but im not bored enough right now
pretty good game, although i do have some nit picky things. audio got monotonous after a while, although it wasn't too bad. you can use Gamemaker's built in Audio pitch functions to alter the pitch of sounds. with a little randomization this can help fight that monotony.
the pixel art was all good, but some of it clashed slightly, i feel.
overall, pretty good entry. i've also tuned in to your tutorials quite a few times in the past. :) keep up the good work!
this is disturbing. not gonna lie.
very good, very fun, very innovative, and very good looking. its difficult but not punishing, and much more strategic than i expected. audio and the text could use some work, but its a very solid entry! great job!
another great game! the mood is spot on, and the aim is a little tedious, and though it is challenging, it is never overwhelming :D i'd love to see more!
this is a very nice, calm, laid back sort of game. its interesting you didn't make anything super obvious to the player, like how to move or interact, but allowed the player to discover what to do instead. very cool :D
thank you so much!
Thank you so much! :D strongly considering fixing this up and selling it on some level or another.
i thought this game was lacking compared to your regular content. it is an interesting take on tsuro, but not really changed enough to be original. combat was good, and i didn't find it to be too hard, but it and the rest of the game could use some more polish and expansion. (like couldn't you have made it so the bunny dies at the edge instead of making me wait or restart the game for it to die?) overall 3/5.
Solid game, if a little repetitive. its controls were a little wonky too, but its a good start. You guys nailed the mood. might be a good idea to add keyboard functionality as well :)
an interesting game with cute graphics, and a fun play through. good sounds too!
hilarious concept, but could use some refining. jumps are a little violent, for one thing. opening was 10/10. id like to see what this evolves into if you keep at it :D
i haven't even played it yet and pluto looks freaking adorable.
the feedback, depth, and overall game feel could be improved (screen shake, other effects). some of the bits are a little annoying, and dying feels unpolished. overall, not bad though. audio was really great! id like to see where this goes if you continue updating it in the future. (you said to comment our games too, so here's mine :) https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/ragdoll-wars enjoy!)
a lovely game. the visuals were stylish, though it was an interesting choice not to animate it. the use of the suit was very innovative :D keep up the good work!(also, you said in a post to hit you up with our games, so try out my game here if you have the time. :D https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/ragdoll-wars)
cool game, which i found difficult but still fun and refreshing. nice use of graphics, and odd choice of a name.
eventually the corridors get too small for you to get through doorways very easily, but i loved it! should polish this up and release it!
:P you and your impossible platformers xD i'll finish it in another 100 tries... :D crazy difficult, yet oddly calming at the same time. another great entry, my friend :)
a nice little game :)
i ran into a glitch so i couldnt continue, and i had no idea what i was doing or how i got restarted or was able to continue. i know pillows are bad but how was i staying alive? anyway, i liked it xD my review may sound bad but actually this game is too silly and awesome not to like
sorry i just have no idea whats happening
The boss would only spawn when the boss incoming count reaches 0 :)
@johnnyc1423 thank you! i'll fix it at once! :D
@stevenjmiller if you could upload those crash reports i'll fix them! i thought i worked out all the bugs.
@matfernandestt great job! yes, the after the boss dies, the game simply returns to creatures preparing for the next boss
(@iamsodarncool fullscreen is enabled. the standard shortcut is Alt+Enter.
@krp What improvements would you like to see to gameplay? i will probably update this game for full release post jam
@mr-houdini i've actually never played a vlambeer game, but i have listened to a talk by JW from the team
Thanks @jupiter-hadley ! you rock!
fun game! :D super cute!
really enjoyed! :D id say its difficult, but i think im jsut a n00b xD
thanks for the alert! ill put in a patch right away :)
thanks @skullpixel ! im glad you enjoyed it! Poor walter! D: may he forever be remembered!
@mertios this is from a few LDs ago :P
@mertios haha well you should check out my ld41 entry https://bwalter.itch.io/peace its much better than this one :wink:
full marks! my favorite game so far! love the way the audio slurs out as you keep going xD final score was 39/50.
i got 41 but my time was a minute worse (╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻
@brownricestudio sorry that it isn't the cleanest ui.
by clicking, you can assign 3 players to a game. you must have 1 designated to make the score, but the other two can get assigned to chase the ball, defend the goal, or defend the midfield.
the player stats can help you dictate who might be good in what position. for instance, a high speed player might be good as a chaser.
after that, you watch the game play out! if it goes on for long enough, you can call a time out (if you or nobody controls the ball) and give new instructions to your men.
hope this helps! :)
@mrspeaker Thanks!!! I'm working on a web one, but i've never figured out linux or mac exporting from GM 1.4. I'll hopefully have a port up by tuesday :)
@connorthompson thank you!!! yes i hope i can continue developing this into something more polished! :smile:
@planschi i'm sorry to hear that! you should be able to click the text to start. i'll look into any bugs associated with it
A blank error?! Ive never come across this! @apccr what was going on before it glitched?
@apccr that's strange. please tell me if the issue persists! i'll keep looking into it.
Windows firewall is blocking me from trying it :( sorry
@chelc use number keys 1-3 to switch :) i forgot to put that in the menu, sorry!
@mmason Glad you liked it! the shell glitch should be patched now :)
@justinooncx actually, you can look around without walking :slight_smile: as the controls in the menu state, you can use arrow keys to change the direction you are looking without walking.
@terribly-awesome-games i'll look into it :thinking: thanks for the heads up!
thsnks @jjoeyay ill work on patching that!
@unept from what ive read online running as administrator may help. let me know if it works :)
thanks everyone!
@lamossus thanks for the bug report! looks like i incorrectly set up that endgame situation. ill patch it later today!
@fazz we may continue dev! i'm not sure yet. to your other point: a piece always checks if it dies every frame. since the piece was moved into a trap, it is active and checks for death first, killing it rather than the enemy in that scenario
@kromeboy I couldn't figure out a way to move and attack and handle inventory on the keyboard. i'll work on it for the first post-jam update :)
@toreole the browser version is controlled primarily with the mouse :smile: clicking will advance text. space bar should work also. after the ship is powered by clicking the middle systems lever, either WASD or arrow keys will allow for movement.
@anuke thank you for your feedback :slight_smile:
Unfortunately, gamemaker doesn't play well with itchio's built in fullscreen button, leading to the game not really centering. I'm looking for a fix to that still. In addition, itchio puts the button in the bottom corner, overlapping where you need to turn shields on slightly, which causes issues in gameplay.
@wasd thanks for notifying me i left debug mode on in the builds, but please dont tell people to exploit games like that :)
@guine @dekajoo @jekuma @dobryn
Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it! Don't forget to leave a rating, now that they are up! :smile:
@samthecoder123
Thanks for your input! The point of the game, however is that it is difficult. An exercise in perseverance, if you will! I made a couple things slightly more forgiving after your comment though. Thanks again!
@reccy thanks! :smile:
@bklolo @crotonyl-alcohol
Thank you! :smiley: glad you enjoyed it!
@seaslugstudios
Haha Thank you so much! I hope you have many more memorable moments on your way to the top!
@shess
thank you so much! I'm glad it helps you unwind! We all could use that after a good LD haha!
@davision
Thanks for your input! Perhaps I should have added a panning function, so you could look ahead, but I wanted the player to be cautious and deliberate. I'll think of some fixes for possible future updates!
@dinowattz
Thanks! I'm curious: how did you cheat?
The goat looks good when rotating probably due to the amount it's zoomed in and some preferences in the engine itself. Vsync or alternate syncing method etc. I don't remember exactly what I did, but I had to alter the settings due to some visual errors with the soft body particles
@coderaurus
Thank you!
That seems to be a common complaint. My reasoning was to try to make the player more cautious about their jumps, but I see why it can seem more unfair.
@torcado
Thanks for the breakdown of bugs! I thought I patched that timer issue, but I guess it slipped through! I'll do a patch tonight and see what I can do.
About the view: my initial intent was for players to play more cautiously. Limiting the view achieves that affect, though there are a couple portions that I agree, the view becomes more detrimental. I'm testing some ways to adjust this for post jam.
@ghostbit
Thanks! And you're right I had difficulty coming up with a good "teach the mechanics" section. The cacti were the best I could come up with for teaching precision and caution. Any suggestions how I might change it for a post jam version?
@paulhocker thank you!
I found the controls difficult to get the hang of: I kept throwing or picking up instead of jumping, or trying to press up to jump, etc, but overall the game is incredibly polished and a fun little challenge!
@yngvarr thanks for the video!
@chocolat-endive Thanks! @bibiki made all the sound, so I'm not positive. I think he used Reaper for the music?
The art and music work well together!
It takes an awful lot of timing, but it has more innovation than I've seen from many other games.
If this is a commentary on the overstimulation of the internet, it's genius.
A lovely entry :)
This game has an early-pixar 3d feel and I'm here for it
I loved it!
A solid entry! It took me a while to get the hang of it, but it was fun after getting used to it
I really liked the aesthetic of this one!
a fun take on the theme! very difficult!
this is jam-packed! wow!
@kodingnights oh golly! Thanks for pointing this out!
Also, I originally had keyboard but people had different assumptions for what direction should be what on the isometric grid, so I scrapped it.
@jellybean thank you!
@jeremy-ryan thank you very much!
@d3kryption @yngvarr thank you both very much!!!
@wouter52 thank you very much for your feedback!
@yahel-dooley @eggshelldog thank you both!
@fusionnist thank you!
@kikiriki367 wow!!!! The game is supposed to give you a bonus of gold at the end for your stash, but I think it is bugged ATM. That is still the most impressive run I've ever seen!!!!
@cobear25 @no-whone thank you very much for your input!
@matank @poboy Thank you!!!
@raggedyjam thank you!!!
This was a very good take on the theme!
I loved the tone of this one! and the gameplay is really intuitive!
A great time!
What a bonkers take on the theme!
Charming!
Looks amazing and plays well!!!
@drgcandle thank you so much!
@unless-games thanks for the feedback! I like the arrow idea!
@jahwffrey thanks for the feedback! Originally, the worts were supposed to be more in-depth. Due to scope, I cut them back to a value which combined in the pot to calculate the result. Would love to expand them back out in the future!
This was a well executed concept! good job! would be good to see some branching in options- maybe expand?
good job! I think this would be a great concept to expand in the future!
@bene-labs thank you! if you touch it, you reset yes.
@python-b5 thanks for playing! The limbs go in this order: tongue, arms, legs. Since the tongue is the longest and also holds on to walls the longest, it is often beneficial to attach the rest of your limbs, detatch the tongue, and throw it to make more progress.
Hope this helps explain that :)
my computer won't let me download it because it thinks it's a virus. I'll try again soon :thumbsup:
The objects collisions was very irritating, but the art and audio are wonderful
@ira-baciu i think it's too laborious in the load, but i will look into it.
@she-wrote thank you!
A very simple but well executed take on the clicker/idle-- I'm sure some people will get addicted to this.
It looks great so I would love to play but it runs like a slideshow on my computer for some reason-- I've rated what I could based on the bit i did though!
a very clean ui!
the art is wonky in some places but it lends a goofy charm to the whole thing. lovely atmosphere!
a mercifully different take on the theme :)
I love the art and sounds!
would love to play because the graphics are amazing, but...
image_2025-10-07_171656740.png
I love a lot about this game! Im not sure its an issue with my keyboard but certain arrow/movements wouldn't let me walk anymore. I have a 60% keyboard so I'm sure its a conflict on my end. Either way, stellar work!
a lovely little puzzle figuring out how to get in!
I love the graphics and sound! it creates a lovely atmosphere!
