Nice game, awful music! I didn't feel like the puzzles became harder in the pace that they should though.
How come you need wine? There is binarys for Linux and Mac to? (And a web-version) You only need java :)
I really liked the music and the style of the game. Annoying controls but who cares? ;)
I can't get it to run. After title-screen everything goes white. (Tried on Windows and on Mac)
No sound, you loose life without being hit and doesn't loose life when being hit. Nice try though :)
For you who doesn't know what to do; Gather resources and use the inventory to craft stuff... For starters: Stone -> Flint, Flint + Twig -> Fireplace...
It looks kind of cool, but the game would just let me rotate clockwise in a jaggy way so it was kind of hard to play :/
It's a cool idea, but the gameplay gets a bit repetetive quickly. Nice graphics and solid entry.
Nice roguelike. Not a lot of mechanics, but nice nonetheless. Would have loved some more details to the rooms.
I loved the music! And the game was a awesome spinoff of Katamari! :D
The "story" made me Lol! That counts for something! (Nice work on the game)
Fun, but lacks replay-value. I like the retro feel to it :)
Very hard to understand and play. It's a fun idea though
Fun game! Got hard a bit to soon
Simple but fun game. Really nice artstyle!
Amazing graphics! Felt a bit sluggish in the movement, but man... Nicely done in 48 hours!
Cool idea, but it was frustrating when you realized you needed to backtrack to get higher lvl and then running out of time because of it.
Amazing graphics and sound! Gameplay was a bit hard. I didn't really felt that I had any precision without a jump-button
Nice adventure game. The movement could have been a bit faster but it didn't really matter that much.
Not bad at all for 24 hours. I like this kind of graphical style and it felt like a solid entry :)
Reminds me of the Grow-games. Awesome game! If this would have been a multiscreen adventure, I would have paid for it! Super!
Nice little game. I really enjoyed playing, but I think it would have been awesome if you just had polished the character-movement a bit. After playing your own game for 30+ hours, you don't always notice when movement is a bit fast/quirky.
It's a hard game and it's hard to tell when you interact with things when everything is so small. Graphics are awesome and music fits the game perfectly. Nice work!
Really nice idea but the gameplay feel a bit too random and the sound is hurting my ears. Still, a fair entry though :)
If you use the arrow-keys, then Up works perfectly fine to jump with?
Nice adventure. It would have been nice to have some inventory to make it more clear to what objects you where using. Good game though!
Nicely done for 6 hours. I especially enjoyed the music and the atmosphere
Really nice spin on the tower-defence genre! The sound, graphics and effects fits together nicely. Great game!
The result of getting jumped by an enemy felt a bit hard?
Clever game and nicely done! The physics is a bit quirky but who cares? :)
The levels ramp up a bit too fast in difficulty and it's not really explained when you need to use new mechanics to pass a level. Other than that... the sound was good, really nice art-style and game idea :)
The collision box was a bit large. I died several time when I thought I was in the clear. Nice little game though. Liked the idea alot :)
Nice start, but not yet a game (as you mention). I like the graphics.
Really nice game! It got a bit repetitive and the controls (turning the planet) felt a bit awkward. But awesome graphics, really nice sound och cool idea!
Really cool to include a minigame into you game. Smart idea and it works ok. The control scheme isn't the best. Nice
Really good audio-work here! The game seemed to be running to fast on my computer and made it hard to play. Nice game though
Fun game! I liked the idea and it was a nice new puzzle style.
The controls felt a bit awkward, but I liked the game mechanic. If the game didn't feel soo "floaty" I would have enjoyed it :)
Really interesting game. I liked it and would have wanted it a bit longer (I understand that it wasn't though, due to the short dev time). But I will definitely remember this game :)
Really good audio and controls. One of the better games I've played so far :)
Nice game! The controls where a bit sluggish, but other than that there isn't really that much to complain about. I loved it!
The music was really annoying... And it feels like you maybe could have added something to make you feel like you actually are getting somewhere. OK entry though
Felt a bit slow at some points, but was a nice puzzler
Totally ok game. Would have liked to see some more eyecandy, that would had made it really cool.
I played it through the whole game. It's nice. Not spectacular but quite entertaining. With some sound and more "surprises" it would have been quite a game :)
Wierd game. I guess it should be considered art in some way?
Good concept but it needs some more juice. Why not auto-restart the level when you reach zero?
Tricky, but I loved the sound-fx and graphics!
Really fun game! Was only missing some cool music, but I can't complain about much else... awesome!
Cool idea. Could have used some variation to the gameplay
I liked the simple style but felt it was a bit to random. I felt the bouncing around of the enemies was a bit distracting. Did it add anything to the gameplay?
@Orni - You should just press the two swords to start the game :) (And I will update with some instructions)
32-Bit version is up! Sorry for the delay :(
Moody and nice looking game. Content is always hard when you're short on time ;)
Awesome graphical style! The sounds are ok, but the ship too slow. Would have wanted some kind of highscore or such
Felt a bit too random. Sometimes I died instantly and other times it felt like a breeze.
Fun idea but a bit too slow. Took a while to find the shop :)
This is by far the most solid entry I've played yet. Would love to play this on my NES :)
What did I just play!?
Tight controls! Loved it and would love to play a full game with bosses and such in this style!
It got a bit laggy after a while. Fun idea!
It would've been nice to have just some sound to be able to get some more feedback from the game. I liked the graphics and feeling when the children started following you.
Great game, just need more levels! Awesome animations and graphics!
To much leap of faith and a bit to fast to feel that you are in control of whats happening. But nice first LD-game!
Really awesome game! Loved the sound and graphics and really enjoyed getting to the boss and ALMOST beating him!
The game didn't respond to my Galaxy S4 more than on touch input, but I figured out you left the debug controls in so I just used the keyboard instead :) Really liked the old style feel you got going, but you probably should've put more time in to the actual game instead of making it multiplayer.
The game felt a bit broken. You could place yourself out of harms way and let go of the mouse and just rake in the points.
It feels like everything goes in slowmo and it gets awkward after a bit of playing. Everything works just fine though and it's a solid entry. Nice job!
Fun idea that worked pretty well. Would be nice to have some kind of score system or goal
Nice idea and it works well. Would like some nice background music to go with it though :)
Nice Osmos clone, but why use WASD instead of arrow keys?
Would be nice to be able to have some kind of chance against the mines. And the controls is terrible. Why no arrow keys?
I love these kind of games and you managed to do it very well. Thanks!
Really cool game! Will use this next LD :D
Fun way to steer the snake. Was a bit troublesome to keep track of the direction. Fun game
Felt a bit slow and I was able to get to lvl 11 by just holding the right key. OK entry though :)
Loved it! Super simple, but the graphics and atmosphere made it.
I love that you made this with pico, and it's really well done too!
Well... that was fun :)
Really good game! Thanks for making it! (And Pico8 is cool)
A nice early-game Spore clone. I felt that the upgrades didn't matter all that much. Solid entry though :)
Looked a bit dull at first, but I found it really fun to play. Super easy to get your head around and just enough challenge to keep going :)
The sound and music was really moody. It would be awsome if the up/down steering was "stronger"
A nice game with well written story. I would have liked a few more choices throughout the game. (Also it seems to be problems running this on multiple screens)
Adorable game! Simple but brilliant :)
The HiScore is only local, so don't worry about getting beaten ;)
!!! There was a severe bug where on some systems you couldn't press Ctrl and Right at the same time. Furthermore the level loading was broken on other systems. Both these bugs are now solved. If you still have problems, try empty your web-cache !!!
I didn't get it... but it was interesting and nice visuals
It was really hard to get used to the steering of the car. A solid entry though :)
I didn't understand the use of the rope?
Fun idea. I think that you default to mostly profitable choices though? When I accepted every offer I got, it seemed to run fairly well :)
Simple and well done. Some small variation of the gameplay would be nice.
Really original idea. I think you should elaborate on this game!
Even though the graphics where really simple, I liked the feel of the game. Sound was on point and matched the style. It took me a bit of time before I understood how the "power ups" worked and it didn't seem to have a game over state (or maybe I was too good at the game?) :) Nice one!
Good looking graphics and a solid idea. I think it could be made a bit less frustrating by setting rotation of cards relative to the player without taking away to much of the challenge.
You managed to pack a lot of different things and puzzles in to the game. My memory is trash, so I felt that it would have been nice to maybe get to stay in the same place at every map when switching back to it, but that might have made the game too easy. I got 5 bones before I got to frustrated (I think I found the solution to all of them though). Nice little game, thanks!
@xpycm Thanks for trying out the game! About the collision detection, did you ever get stuck in a place you shouldn't be or clip into voids? The diver is supposed to be able to go behind the very edges of the blocks and almost disappear (Like swimming in seaweed), but not clip further than that. Some areas are also hidden behind edges like that, but should be revealed if you swim far enough into them.
@m0dsat Thanks for playing! I've added checkpoints to the post-compo version, but the idea of one way passages form below didn't cross my mind. That's a really good alternative to checkpoints that I really like! I'll be sure to put that into the game in the future.
@pbg Thanks for trying it out! Yea the post-compo version already has optional checkpoints to remove the need for going back down all the way again. And I've actually started to work on procedural levels already! I want to make some kind of roguelike of this I think :)
@melektaus Hey, thanks for noticing :D I wanted to see how far I could push it without canvas. It gives you a lot of options with css-animations, but in the end, it's quite performance heavy. (Started out on a Raspberry Pi, but had to switch over to a better computer once the level started to get bigger) I'm currently porting it over to C so that I can do a bit more stuff with it, but it's a cool experiment.
@projectcolorball As the tutorial states, there are hidden air pockets that you need to find by swimming close to walls. The tutorial also has other information that you need to play the game. There is only one visible air pocket when you start, and that's supposed to be far out of reach. The post-compo version has an easy-mode with checkpoints added if you still think it's to hard.
Really fun game! At some point, the new package had the same contents as the one going out, so I sat and waited for a new order before understanding. I think some kind of feedback (or stronger if there already is) on when packages are accepted would be nice. Graphics where really good, sound-design was spot on and the gameplay was fun! Great job!
Nice use of 3d to sprites. It felt like a solid Sonic-esc platformer with a bit too floaty controls for my taste. It wasn't really clear what happened every 10 seconds and how the world interaction worked. But solid work nonetheless!
I found the game-loop very entertaining. With a bit of balancing, this would be super fun! After a while the sound got a bit unbearable. Nice work!
As others mentioned, the mechanics wasn't super clear even after reading the premise of the game. Also, the level didn't seem to have any given direction that you where supposed to follow. Just aimlessly collecting coins. Anyhow, good work on the game, mechanics and direction apart, everything ran nicely and was quite enjoyable to play around with for a while. Good job!
Well, based on the fact that you only had 6 hours, you managed to get a solid start. I just started using raylib myself, so my next LD will probably be with that as well. Hope you get more time next time :)
This was really fun to play. It was actually my first idea of what to make myself, but I went for another idea. But in my case it would be a train that would be taking the cargo. Nice to see that the gameplay worked. Well done!
Hard to judge without game play elements, but it's a little fun sandbox that sure shows potential :)
Cool game! I made it until I had to switch colors, then everything went downhill :D Really solid entry! It would be fun to see a grade on all paintings you do as well. So that you could get a feel for how close you need to get to pass.
The first impression was a lot! But I liked that you could slow down time to get your bearings. The mechanics felt solid and you managed to squeeze a lot of detail into the graphics as well. I'm not a TD fan, but I can appreciate what you managed to do. Cool game!
For some reason, the timer didn't start at first, so I couldn't do anything, but it started after a while. I like the concept and style very much. 10 seconds is far to little time for me to set the correct pattern most times though :( It would've been nice if you could put the modules in a quicker way maybe? Cool game though :)
@coke Done!
Well... I'm not sure what I was doing, but it felt cosy and puzzly. I think I managed to visit all the different planets, but found nothing on any of them? :)
Oh, the graphics is holding this one back. Don't get me wrong, the graphics are not bad, the rest of the game is just so good! Music is phenomenal and just the correct amount of juice. Good ratings on this one. Very well done!
Nice idea. Took me a while to understand how to go about things and the feedback of what's happening isn't super clear. But when I got how everything worked, it was quite fun! Nice work!
I spent far longer playing than I should have just because of the audio :D. The core loop is a bit simple, but fully works and I can imagine this would had been quite a nice game with a day of polishing the graphics (Time I understand you missed out on). Good work!
Really fun to play. I'd like to have a bit more feedback on what thrusters I used since it sometimes was hard to tell if I pushed the correct button. Got really hectic after a couple of satellites :D
I'm a gameboy fan so the aesthetic was really nice. Some type of structure on the ground would have been nice to tell your speed a bit better, and the collision bounce was a bit harsh I think. But a great entry!
I got to 86000 points and a bit over 200bpm, at that tempo it was really hard making out if some arrows should be held together or separate. You could increase the speed (and by that separating) of the arrows as the tempo goes up to make it clearer. Nice work though, I liked it!
Started out calm and ended up frantic. A well done game with overall ok graphics and sound. I didn't really like the "hover" to wrap input. I'd rather see a click input so that it felt a bit more "feedback-y". But non the less, a great accomplishment. Good work!
Hey! Big points for innovation doing a card-game! Simple rules and really fun to play. Big props for thinking outside the box.
Crazy music and graphics, really good! Some more environment and particles crazyness would have been even better. LOVED the music! Good work!
Nice little adventure style music game. I found it a bit unnecessary that the statues position didn't correspond to the place in the tune. It made it so that even though I knew the correct answer, I was constantly tripping up clicking the wrong statue. Nice work though!
You took a risk with needing a lot of manual content apart from the game mechanics themselves, but I wouldn't have it any other way. The idea is great and the card art and style that's there is really good. I think you should keep developing this! Thanks for a great entry!
Had to download Love2d, but still worth it! Fun and frantic with nice graphics. The symbols felt a bit random as there often didn't exist more than maybe one match. Might have been intended as well. Solid fun entry either way :D
Everything held together nicely. The graphics were great, the sound was minimal but worked good (even though that was the weakest part). Played until I started to unlock already unlocked stuff :) Really good work!
The premise didn't sound as fun as it actually was in reality. Trying to be quick to gather as much information as possible during the window you got was fun. And when you had themes getting back into rotation you could try to remember what you learn the first time around. Really solid game!
I had some issues with the input since you couldn't cancel movement after clicking a spot. I get the feeling that movement could have been done a bit more strait forward without pathfinding. Played until level 5. Nicely done!
Nice idea, but the darkout areas where used a bit too much I think. It would've been more interesting using more moving enemies to try to calculate their movement while waiting. Good game nonetheless, nice work!
Really fun game with spot on sound design! One of the better once I've played despite it's simplicity. A good example of a simple idea that's really well executed without trying to be too much. Very well done!
Really well made! You didn't bite of more than you could shew here, very polished controls and the audio was really nice as well! I did find a bug where you could release a box and pick one up at the same time which resulted in you not peeing able to pick any new boxes up. But other than that... this is a really good game :D
@yizao The first game is supposed to be a way for you to get as much "health" as possible for the later stage. The stability is just a gauge that tells you how good you're doing you stacking. (You get penalties for of center and not center on previous package).
@bayousoftware You can often jump over more than one log at a time. But yea, sometimes the only way to succeed is to stack enough packages to survive.
@matt-green Oh, I'm so sorry! And this warms my heart. Oxylunky was done with tools I knew and wanted to try push in some different directions. This time, I jumped into C and SDL without having finished a single project in C before, so this game is quite underwhelming in comparison. Thanks for your kind words though... next time will be more interesting I hope :D
Really well made. It felt as the puzzles got more and more chaotic and not very planned out the further in to the game you got. Really good audio work as well. I had to stay a bit in the main menu and listen to the track before starting the game :D
It's a roguelike cookie-clicker! Took me some time to get what I was looking at, but after playing some I really started to enjoy it. Felt as addicting as any other clicker game :D Nicely done!
Felt like I enjoyed it a bit more than I should have. Nothing that tells the player how many seconds left for each delivery which was a bit annoying when some of them canceled mid air, but that's nit picking :D
I never saw any targets to drop the packages to. It felt like the game sent you high up in the start and communicated poorly that there was some things to do further down. Especially since you could just collect points by gliding around higher up and just disregard for the packages. The controlling of the game and graphics felt nice though. I liked the feel of the game :)
@sirlich I read the How To play after trying it out a couple of times first. I know info-dump "tutorials" is a necessity when you're short on time. But maybe force it on the player before first play? And after that let it be in the menu? I think the thing here is that there's a bit to many moving parts that needs to be understood right away. If you had more time, a good way would be to add levels where you learn energy, pills, packages, wind and so on one piece at a time. But I also realize that 48 hours isn't enough to fix stuff like that ;)
The controls!? You've chosen the most illogical way of controlling the game. Other than that, I really liked the game. Simple mechanic that feel nice and juicy enough :)
Really nice looking game. I loved the art style. I'm not that big on tower defense games but it seems like a nice one. The thing is that I could just play through the first 10 levels without upgrading anything and just using the first basic structure. So the depth wasn't really needed. Anyways... fun game :D Looks really cool!
A bit slow gameplay when you only had a single goblin, but felt much more reasonable as soon as you got a few running. A really solid entry. Enjoyable and well done mechanics. :)
Amazing game! Some would even say, the best! ;) <3
It's a really cool idea but I found that the use of the multiple screens maybe was a bit underutilized or maybe just took up a bit to much of the screen? Also using the scroll wheel to select spells was a bit hard when you got stressed out. But I loved the concept, and loved that you tried something original!
I love the art style! And the sound is really good as well. I'd love some way to tell the progress I'm making in the game more up front. But all in all... a solid entry!
I did summon some large creatures and managed to rack up a good pool of resources. But in my manic try to quicken my acquirement of resources I managed to kill myself! I really liked it. It has some resemblance to my own game. Nice entry!
@ysk Thank you! It's my first time making a puzzle game even though I love the genre. I'll probably try making something more substantial in the same style in the future. The art is mostly made through a compositing palette effect I set up in Blender. UI elements and some touchups has been made by hand though :)
@sobigdrasil Hey, thanks! The book was a block for most people who tried it. I made the interactable areas much more noticeable than they where before, but maybe it wasn't enough ^^
@pupirka Thank you! I've added a link to a walkthrough if you find yourself stuck. (You can reveal only as much info you need)
@bonemane Thanks! I wrote it without any "engine" (I'd say the browser is as of an engine as many other things). It's pure JavaScript without any frameworks. Graphics are made in Blender with a post compositing setup I built and then some manual touchup.
@missingpixel Thank you!
@fredrik-andersson Nothing wrong in getting a bit of help. Thank you
@justuspan There is a walkthrough linked that you can take a look at. It unlocks if you just wait a couple of seconds after satisfying the beast :)
@vidarn Thank you <3 @mremmele @ilinx @robowarrior1982 @ghettobastler Thank you very much and thanks for playing! @ooboob Thanks for trying it out! Yea, the music was maybe the thing I was most disappointed with. Might have worked better with only wind ambience. The fact that you came to the book tells me that you actually interacted with the note in the center before that. That was the point of the note, to mainly teach the player that you can click stuff in front of you. But alas, I should have pointed that out in a tutorial-pompt as well :)
I've never been one for tower defense games, but this was a nice one. It got a bit hectic quickly but the graphics where really nice and the sound matched. Nice entry!
Nice idea, but it was far to hard for a non English speaker to figure out. But that was me failing, not you :)
The characters and animations really reminds me of the Little Big Adventure games. Really cool. I think oneshotting the enemies would have been better since I had real trouble lining them up and firing at the right time. Cool entry though!
Awesome game! The graphics, gameplay, sound and style really complemented each other bringing me back to where games where simpler. Nicely done!
Nice little tower defense game. Would've loved to see a bit more different enemy types and units. But everything seems to work as intended which is an achievement in itself! Good work!
Nice little pico-8 memory game. As soon as the match 3 came in to play I was done for. Thanks for the entry!
I sighed when I first started the game, but when I actually started playing, it was quite fun even though the premise was a bit bland. Good job on the implementation. The boss did really stress me out with that double number at the end :D
Really fun game that made you want to run again and again :D One thing I would've wanted was maybe a heads up on where the next spawns would go so that I could strategize a bit more on how to place myself. Thanks for the entry!
Simple and quick to understand, nice and clear graphics and animations. One of my favorite games this compo!
I was a bit discouraged by the amount of reading needed to be done in order to understand how the game worked at first. But I did realize that it was kind of part of the experience. I managed to get everything right and summon the demon after some tinkering. I did really enjoy it! Really good game and the sound really fit nicely!
Nice idea for a puzzle game. At level 5 things got a lot harder quickly. A bit of game juice would've kicked the overall feeling up a notch but nonetheless, a nice entry!
Silly and fun little game. Itch.io seems to crop the game weirdly, but I managed to understand it anyways. Seemed like an ordinary recipe to me ;)
When you start out with a darn theme-song, you know it's going to be good! Awesome game. I loved the puzzles and would love to have this as a phone game while killing time. Really nicely done!
Good work! I found the ambiance a bit to dark, and the sound effects hurt my ears a bit. Nice work with the dialog, I chuckled a fair bit playing through it!
Very hard, but maybe with some tutorial levels before unlocking everything it would be a bit more approachable. Nice work though
Really nice game! You nailed the old-school feel and the controls felt nice. Maybe could have started out a bit less harsh, but other than that... a really fun experience!
At first I didn't get that the different circles told you how to avoid the summoning, but as soon as I got that, it became a more strategic game. Nice idea and good entry!
A fun little toy to play around with. It would be really fun if the game generated names for the creations based on what parts you've chosen.
Hey, that's really neat. I've never played a game like this before, so it was quite an adventure. Didn't make it all the way through, but I might come back to it later and give it a go again :D
Nice little pico8 game! The pollen (?) became too much quite quickly. It almost covered my screen and I couldn't make out the wind directions anymore. Nice entry though :)
Great take on the 1024 game style. Some background music and wobbly characters would've made this a really satisfying game to play for a longer time.
This gave me some real Settlers 2 vibes in the graphics and sound department. Really good! I found it hard to understand how the winds were controlled by the input. But a solid idea!
A really good looking game! It was a bit hard forming a strategy since I didn't have control over the units. One time a ghost got stuck on a tile before reaching the enemy and out of range from them as well.
I had a bit of luck gathering up my initial combatants in the middle and then enforce only one couldron, but I never managed to kill the evil wizard that came in to the scene. Fun little game, good entry!
As mentioned before, it was more viable to just mash the search button than rely on the sonar, but something tells me that most of the developing time went to building the sonar function, because that was really cool. Really fun to try out! Who knew there was a whole bunch of Atlatises(?) hiding under the surface?
Great game! Got up to 4000 points before I got stuck. I would have loved being able to remove pieces that are not turned in to structures yet, but that's a minor gripe. All in all, very fun!
Really nice game with a good art style. I did get through it once, but playing through it again just to se the other ending was a bit too much. Some change in mechanics between the days would have been nice, but I do get that there wasn't enough time :)
@gsoutz What do you mean? There's a tutorial right at the start.
@CodeRaurus You are entirely correct. I should have left the restart button active even when not dead. My sleep deprived brain told me it was a good idea to only have that function active at that state. And if you want to play without the scrolling issue, the link to the game works better. Thanks for playing!
@aly-name No game engine at all. Made in vanilla-js without frameworks of any kind :) Thanks for your kind words
@noodlemaster @jiri-hysek Yea, for some reason I decided to deactivate the reset key if you weren't dead which was a total miss on my part. I don't want to update the game now, since it wouldn't be fair I think :(
@moondweller Thanks for the kind words. Well... there isn't a consistent way to solve the levels since they are procedurally generated. But there are two factors that helps to more effectively climb down. Number one is that the cave is based on a sinus curve, going back and forth. So with that in mind, you can start to guess where the ground might be coming up. Also, you can use the grass patches to see the ground in some cases; There might be a single or a couple still pixels below you. That means that there is grass underneath. One final trick is by using the fall damage system to your advantage. The game calculates fall damage from your starting position. So in some cases you can jump up and around a tile before going down to lower your jump-start-position so to speak. Thanks again for playing the game :)
Found all in 164.32 seconds! Nice little game with a fun concept. My kids would love it!
Oh... my... I do like the concept and it felt quite much like a puzzle game after a while. At many points I found myself in situations where I couldn't do much more than accept my fate and try again. Fun game, keep it up!
Well, pressing one button in time is actually more fun than one might anticipate. Fun to see something made in only 6 hours. There's always next time!
I liked the idea and enjoyed the gameplay although at some point all the ants started to go to the same place so I could just keep eating them without any worries. Fun little game though
I didn't fully understand was going on, but big numbers and multipliers are fun.
The controls together with the slippery physics made it quite hard to play. Together with the slow attack-speed it felt just weird. This is a case of something that isn't wrong per se. It's mostly a question of fine-tuning the movement and speed of things. Nice entry though :)
Making a shooter in 48 hours is really hard. I've tried :P The biggest problem I felt like, was the lack of hit response. I never knew if I actually hit the demons or not. Also, some slow down in the music as you fell down would have been super dope as well.
Fun game, but I would've liked some more interactivity with the scene maybe?
Audio was almost a 5 from me! Gave me a hearty laugh :D
Very moody game and beautiful art. The puzzles are quite hard since there's no way to tell If I'm doing anything correctly before trying. Both since the icons have unknown actions and that there are hidden tiles. But you've managed to do a whole lot on short time, so kudos!
Really fun game and a well executed new take on the tetris formula! I think you will get really good ratings on this one!
The only thing I really had any problem with was the need to start over every time I died. I've did the same thing in an earlier game I made and realized to late that it was a necessity to have checkpoints. But everything else was really good! Loved the visuals and music!
Fun little game. The boot sound of pico8 makes me what to try using it during ld58 :D
Fun little game you've made! Really slippery controls, but that's expected in space I guess :D
Nice little game! The projectiles came a bit to quick as I didn't have time to react, or block them in any good way. The devil boss-fight was fun as well. Audio didn't work for me, so I left that rating out.
I do believe that a couple of simpler changes could have made this game a bit easier to play. Don't de-select workers after issuing a command and let the path selection be on as soon as you have a selection instead of making it a two-click command. Nice entry though! Keep it up!
The game didn't make it clear that double jumping was an option but once you figured that out traversing the level was a bit of fun. The parallax effect seems wrong since it's faster than the normal scrolling speed, this makes it feel like the camera is rotating around instead of moving with the character. I'd also like some sort of health indicator and indication of how many pickups are left before unlocking next level. Thanks for a nice game
Really good idea and nice implementation. I would love if the game showed a preview of where the piece would end up since it was kind of a mind-bend to figure it out quick in many cases. But thats the only thing I would add :)
