LD31 — Entire Game on One Screen

Tightrope Theatre by AdventureIslands 2014-12-11T21:34:00

Amazing. Normally I loathe games that used loose controls as a mechanic but I played this one to the very end and enjoyed it. I would occasionally encounter a bug where I wouldn't finish the level when I stood on the end platform.

Pinball Wizardry by dsilvers 2014-12-08T16:46:00

Fun little game. I wish there was a free play mode so that I could just try to time the paddles with the beat of the music.

Good Old Times by lekochen 2014-12-08T07:32:00

What a weird little game.

RGBox by Nsmurf 2014-12-08T04:22:00

The blue and green versions of the little guy are nearly indistinguishable.

Serenity by rxi 2014-12-08T03:55:00

Super atmospheric game. I'd love to play this in full screen. Audio is really great apart from the ear rape at the end. I got stumped a few times, but I didn't really feel like it was my fault.

GAMER TOAD* by Fonserbc 2014-12-08T07:14:00

Really novel concept! It took me a while to realize I was supposed to move away to not get eaten, I was wondering why it would send back to the title screen when I beat the first minigame.

To Continue by raincole 2014-12-08T03:35:00

Interesting game. There seemed to be some some sort of story going on about someone that got into an accident, but sadly the game was too unforgiving for me to finish without getting frustrated and quitting.

OUTRANGE by Snuux 2014-12-08T08:25:00

You'd think that having dozens of guns would make this game easy. Solid game. Like the art style.

Adventure 31 by Somfunambulist 2014-12-08T04:14:00

Really cool game. I liked the different biomes a lot. What's up with using mouse buttons in a game like this? It's incredibly awkward.

Wavy Jumps by Mefteg 2014-12-09T13:15:00

I can't seem to go North-West and jump at the same time, though that might just be a problem with my keyboard.

Bubblemellow by cinnamonmelonpig 2014-12-08T07:24:00

Very very solid! It's not very groundbreaking but I feel like I have a lot of control when I'm moving around and the obstacles are for the most part are placed in harmony with how your character moves. Except for level 6. The jumps on this level are awkward and require a ridiculous level of precision. Harder than all the other levels combined.

Color scheme looks nice and friendly.

Save the Giant by drkrunk 2014-12-20T01:34:00

I don't really think this game benefits from "realistic" controls and jump arcs. It mostly just adds frustration. I fell. A lot. But I guess that's just part of the experience.

The Cubenator by Kuupu 2014-12-08T18:21:00

Absolutely incredible. The AI is surprisingly good, thought you can do a few things to exploit it.

Super Death Grid Of Death (with deadly beats) by Stending 2014-12-23T00:52:00

I'm a sucker for rhythm based games like this, but the controls aren't as responsive as I would've liked.

Yuki and Snow by Raiyumi 2014-12-09T21:59:00

Pretty awesome, but man is that code for the chest hard to crack. I feel like I'm missing something.

Adrift by Supernaught 2014-12-17T19:53:00

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to use green's power.

ASDF ASDF by alesys 2014-12-09T09:21:00

Knocking enemies around is really satisfying.

Kerfuffle by rabbit 2014-12-08T06:04:00

5/5 sister is mad

Spiral Wings by Joe Williamson 2014-12-08T03:09:00

The art and music is absolutely gorgeous. Everything is super well polished but there's not really much of a game. It feels more like an interactive one page pop-up book.

Snowball juggling Olympio by Benjamin 2014-12-20T02:13:00

I don't think this game taught me very good juggling technique. I just pressed space and left click at the same time whenever I caught a ball.

Last Rooftop Hero by Phoenix849 2014-12-08T17:12:00

The artwork and sprites are all top notch and everything is super well polished. Everything's here to make a really awesome game, though like others have said, there's really no incentive to move anywhere so you're just stuck staring at the screen. Having objectives that spawn at random locations on the map or just having obstacles you can't shoot down would go a long way towards making this game really really fun.

Quads by DMajor 2014-12-08T06:12:00

Kind of fun to mess around with.

birdsong by managore 2014-12-19T20:15:00

Wow...

ARENA++ by undefinist 2014-12-08T06:20:00

Really cool. It seems like the game gets harder the more you lose, which usually isn't good.

Panoptes by vrld 2014-12-08T15:07:00

Really cool, I was about to write about how this is a pretty decent Tetris Attack clone, but then the game threw me a curve ball. I got an error while playing for a bit, though.

Snamwons Revenge by yodamaster 2014-12-08T14:59:00

Nice use of theme.

Meltdown by Lovro Kalinovčić 2014-12-08T03:21:00

You were really hoping for the snowman theme weren't you? ;) Gameplay is interesting and keeps you on your toes. Power ups are interesting. Graphics and sound work but aren't very noteworthy.

The Sacred Glyphs by mokesmoe 2014-12-09T10:23:00

Incredible. I could play with this for hours.

Jumping n' Jumping by Eduardo 2014-12-08T07:51:00

Pretty cool. Your character is super hard to control, though, and having paralax scrolling without the screen actually going anywhere is disorienting.

One by Fanttum 2014-12-08T04:33:00

Wow. I never thought I'd be so unsettled by squares and dots.

Cardinal Attack by Insality 2014-12-08T05:40:00

Very very cool. Had fun despite the break-neck difficulty.

Find The Squares by lisac 2014-12-08T14:36:00

I think you've struck gold with this idea. More polish and this could be an amazing mobile game. Love the challenge, feels like the sort of game you'd play to train your brain to notice things.

Petite Juliet by kts_kettek 2014-12-08T06:49:00

I can't really tell if my attacks are doing anything. Interesting use of fractals btw.

Pop'em by Ivan Volkov 2014-12-08T05:54:00

Must... pop... gotta... popem

Cam16 by GhostBomb 2014-12-08T03:25:00

Source is in the same file as the game.

GodDamnit 2nd pic. I tried to fix you, but your refused to change!

Cam16 by GhostBomb 2014-12-08T05:09:00

Yep. Feel free to throw your own dance party in the surveilance room.

Cam16 by GhostBomb 2014-12-08T19:56:00

You have to get the right item in order to shoot

Welcome To Shady Pines by juxipolo 2014-12-08T07:45:00

This game is pretty cool. There's a lot of polish and the main puzzle aspect is very satisfying.

Alice:nightmare by Sublustris 2014-12-08T04:59:00

It took me a while to even comprehend what was happening. Even after playing it for a bit I still felt a little confused.

Deicide by Tifu 2014-12-23T06:24:00

I really like the design on these bosses. Having to attack the invisible mirror image of the Narcisist lady was clever.

LD32 — An Unconventional Weapon

Yalg'th, the Meta-Demon by Jezzamon 2015-05-03T22:14:00

Haha, nice little gag game. Very clever. Took some time to figure out the solution because I was focusing too much on why the sword was transparent. The music is also very catchy.

(About my game, I've never been able to replicate that crash on my computer, so it's gonna be near impossible to fix.)

Yalg'th, the Meta-Demon by Jezzamon 2015-05-03T22:16:00

(I'm also too lazy to switch the links around in the editor)

Bubble Trubble by Jon Reid 2015-04-22T10:39:00

Such a feel good game.

Lucid by rxi 2015-04-28T16:14:00

Nice.

Incredible mood and sense of exploration. The weapon is simple yet satisfying.

Ultra Hat Dimension by Crowbeak 2015-04-25T03:05:00

Managed to fix the crashing using your second fix. Really cute game with very interesting puzzles. I love the sound effects!

Compassion by masterboth 2015-04-20T02:32:00

Haha, I'm sad now :(

Bond by Cheshyr 2015-04-22T11:00:00

Physics engine felt really fun while it worked. I don't know why the crystal blocks aren't just pass-throughable all the time, as the most intuitive time to let go as your getting slingshotted is right before you pass through the block, as that's when you're the fastest. I liked the game overall though.

Star Driller Ultra by Omiya Games 2015-04-20T05:12:00

Really dazzling aesthetic, if not particularly practical. I think this game could make for a pretty thrilling arcade game if you just went for broke and made the player go dizzyingly fast all the time. Really enjoyed just messing around.

Deminescent by Chronodrax 2015-04-21T02:51:00

Controls are buggy

Q and A seems to be switched. W doesn't seem to work at all.

Looks like a cool game, I'd love to play it and leave a rating once you've fixed this to make it playable.

Mystical Youth Amy by NIGIC 2015-04-20T02:07:00

Really liked the game. I was surprised how far into the game new mechanics were being introduced.

Couldn't figure out how to use the hyperbeam, but I managed to do fine without it.

Just another sketch on the wall by RevelBase 2015-04-24T08:35:00

I love the style so much!

Crayon Poke by Raiyumi 2015-04-21T04:57:00

Wow. Amazing. Everything is absolutely top notch. Would rate 10/5 if I could.

Nuclear Autumn by phi6 2015-04-28T16:03:00

I'm a sucker for these types of games. My only complaint is that I spent far too long trying to get the Phospherous next to the hanged scientist because it almost looks like you can reach it just by dashing and I wasn't sure if there was another powerup.

Fantastic game, though. Great twist, though I saw it coming about 80% through the game.

Attractor by LegacyCrono 2015-04-21T10:08:00

Really exceptional work for a compo game! I'd like to see it finished!

A Knife Made Of Whispers by managore 2015-04-22T11:52:00

Really fantastic as always, but the movement is extremely sensitive.

Atmosphere was top notch and gameplay the level design was great. I kind of think it should be shorter, but I beat the game so...

The War Dog by Xinelu 2015-04-21T10:14:00

Yeah, I should totally go under the tank while I have a beeping collar on, great idea!

Death Touch by uheartbeast 2015-04-20T04:06:00

SO GOOD

The controls feel so right. The level design is spot on and the boss enemy was fantastically designed.

just amazing

Flail Rider by jushii 2015-04-21T10:51:00

I have to say, the graphics and sound all got me really pumped to go on a rampage through those brightly colored block buildings, but the gameplay forces you to be a lot more timid than you'd like. Here are a few suggestions.

-Starting and restarting should be the same button.
-Give the player a bigger view of the map so they feel more confident going at top speed.
-Give the car better handling in contrast to the spiked ball so I can swing at buildings without actually hitting them myself.
-Make the chain longer so the ball can deviate a bit.
-The ball should really plow through buildings with no resistance with enough momentum to award players for building up speed.

Does It Shoot? by Four Quarters 2015-05-08T18:52:00

Super clever. This definitely seems like an idea that can be expanded upon.

It's The Room by Miziziziz 2015-04-20T03:35:00

I almost had a similar idea to this for my ideas, but I think you executed it a lot better than I would have. Physics are pretty freakin wonky, though I'd imagine trying to make a good physics engine in 48 hours would be really hard. Neat game. I liked the little touches like having the headphones pan when you move the room, though they do seem to pan rather abruptly when your near the edge.

KILLIPEDES by calavera 2015-04-23T04:41:00

YOU HAVE FAILURE

haha

Just the concept alone is brilliant but the actual game itself is incredibly satisfying to play.

FINAL BREAKFAST: Your World is Toast by GhostBomb 2015-04-25T11:32:00

What version are you guys playing on when you say the difficulty curve is too low?

Get The Cookies Back by Modoc73 2015-04-20T06:15:00

Bubbles worked great for platforms, but the enemies have such a small hit box and are too low to the ground for the bubbles to really work on them.

Intersection by okacat 2015-04-21T12:52:00

Cool game about judging cars solely based on their color. I mean, if they're obeying traffic laws, how bad can they be?

Photo Fight! by garrisondarkwind 2015-05-01T18:16:00

Hillarious game! Plays great!

FIREFLY GUN ! by TRAB 2015-05-11T05:14:00

Weird, interesting little game. I enjoyed it even though I didn't understand it. The audio is very atmospheric.

Cellular Warfare by VDZ 2015-04-21T00:42:00

I actually enjoyed this one a ton. Ended up beating every level except the Ludum Dare one. I love the dynamic music that keeps pace with every step of of growth. The UI looks amateurish but the game is definitely not amateur at all. It's a real gem.

Rhythm Gunner by DDRKirby(ISQ) 2015-04-23T16:48:00

Button masher bros brought me here but I don't really agree with them that this game is cheap. You can usually avoid getting trapped with planning. Having to keep in rhythm under this much stress is super challenging and rewarding. I would possibly like a larger playing field though. Kickass tunes!

Rhythm Gunner by DDRKirby(ISQ) 2015-04-26T08:59:00

This is probably the game I've come back to the most.

Highscore of 44

Boneventure by Ellian 2015-04-20T02:47:00

Awesome game. Definately a 5/5. Those electricity balls are way too relentless though, they should probably despawn after a while. I beat the red sorceror guy and everyone else in level 3 but I didn't get anything. Is this a bug?

LD33 — You are the Monster

Sewer Monster City by bitslap 2015-08-28T05:45:00

Awesome side scrolling shoot'em up!

Up & Away! by bytegrove 2015-08-27T06:11:00

Very solid platformer! The triple jump makes traversing the level interesting and is quite fun to use once you get the hang of it. The collision detection for ledges seems very unforgiving and the character seems to slide pretty far when he lands while moving in a direction which makes traversing narrow platforms a bit too difficult, and this was in the post compo version. Those are just minor complaints though, amazing work for a compo entry.

Takodemon by Split82 2015-08-24T11:36:00

WTF seven hours? This looks and plays better than most top end Jam entries. Amazing concept too. I'm almost a little suspicious.

Separated by rxi 2015-08-24T02:43:00

Gorgeous lighting effects and incredibly chilling music. Really drives home the feeling of loneliness and otherness, being surrounded by people yet unable to reach out to anyone. I see anything to do other than drift around the town. Did I miss something or is this more experience than "game"?

Separated by rxi 2015-08-24T12:09:00

Could you maybe link the music for this game?

The Skullcatcher by CrownCity 2015-08-27T00:59:00

Love the graphics and the concept. LIttle death carrying around scrolls in his wagon is too cute.

There are Tourists in my Castle by Solifuge 2015-08-26T08:57:00

Very interesting interactive game. Multiple endings or titles for different types of runs would be cool.

Hero Mate by Lancelot Gao 2015-08-26T08:48:00

Very cool

Mobs, Inc. by Pietro Ferrantelli 2015-09-11T05:07:00

Great game all around.

A Heart between Parts by LeafThief 2015-08-26T14:33:00

Lovely art and animation very reminiscent of older point and click games.

Grave by uheartbeast 2015-08-28T10:48:00

Really fun tactical brawler that has a satisfyingly brutal difficulty. The difficulty spikes pretty hard with the first giant enemy and I don't really understand the choice for using left click when there's no mouse controls but those are minor nitpicks.

Monster Disco by Four Quarters 2015-08-27T09:59:00

Awesome game. The animation kind of reminded me of metal slug for some reason.

HOMUNCULUS by headchant 2015-08-24T11:25:00

I love the exceptionally odd little games like this that come up every Ludum Dare. Managed to figure it out pretty quick actually.

DRUMSTER by SoulGame 2015-08-27T19:30:00

Very cool rhythm game. Controls feel pretty awkward. Using two hand makes it especially hard to multitask though I guess that's supposed to add to the experience. Audio is superb and graphics are great as well.

DRUMSTER by SoulGame 2015-08-27T19:37:00

I forgot to say I loved how each key was linked to a different drum piece and the distinct rhythm style that brought different gameplay with the different genres.

R-ADIUS by MrTwister 2015-09-04T18:35:00

The enemy ship has way more manueverability and options than you have ability to trap it, at least in the minion phase, so most of the time you just feel like you're relying on the AI to be an idiot.

Beast Mode by madcapacity 2015-08-25T03:22:00

Swoll game, bro!

Monster House by Korso 2015-08-26T03:08:00

Fun game, but I wish you could make the kids run faster.

Werewolf Quest by Yrr 2015-09-12T18:13:00

Really great entry!

The reason the pink switch on the ledge is confusing, btw, is because there's a stairway of blue blocks leading up to it, leading players to believe that that's why they needed to switch the blue switch and then they are baffled when they find nothing to do once the climb them. These stairs are actually functionally useless and only confuse players, which is actually somewhat clever if that's what you were intending.

The Slime's Journey by VDZ 2015-08-24T03:29:00

I'm amazed you came up with all this in 48 hours.

Melody Muncher by DDRKirby(ISQ) 2015-08-24T12:39:00

Half an album worth of songs in 48 hours. That alone is impressive. Gameplay is incredibly solid though the timing felt kind of weird even without any lag. It's not my favorite game from you but coming from your high standards that's still an easy 5/5.

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Sort the Court! by graebor 2015-12-17T21:59:00

Awesome! I'd really love to see this more fleshed out with more meaningful choices.

Double Kick Heroes by blackmagic 2015-12-21T23:51:00

Awesome! Headbanging music and visuals.

The controls and feedback aren't as "snappy" as I'd want a rhythm game to be, and it seems like the timing for each note has been made to be pretty forgiving to compensate.

In later levels I ended up just bashing left and right on the keyboard... which funnily enough kind of fits the mood of the game. :P

Left-leaning by tayl1r 2015-12-14T15:59:00

Hilarious use of theme, really tight controls and a surprisingly robust amount of content.

I love how all the little cars start to pile up as you keep dying. It was tough at times but luckily skillful use of the honk button got me through to the very end.

Grow Your Love by DDRKirby(ISQ) 2015-12-15T16:15:00

Sooo cute <3

Concrete Jungle by Miltage 2015-12-14T11:16:00

Sweet! The vine engine works and feels amazing. All the rest is just sweet icing on the cake.

UPSQUID by 01010111 2015-12-23T03:38:00

What? Your game can't be this good! That has to be against the rules.

Awesome.

Difficulty curve seems a bit flat after you get the game down, though.

Clara Stirzaker and the Crypt of Time by vidarn 2015-12-19T05:50:00

Awesome game.

I do recognize some of the sounds though and this a compo game.

Unknown by Eshford 2015-12-14T16:14:00

Awesome game

Lag compensation would be great

The Life of John by jackyjjc 2015-12-28T22:10:00

Interesting game.

I don't really get money. There doesn't seem to be much use for all the money you get and it just disappears after your reach 55, so all of your senior and manager work cards just end up being a negative since you have to pick them to not lose happiness.

V BALL by longloaf 2015-12-14T12:13:00

I really dig the minimalistic art style here.

However, it really feels like you tried to force a design that probably needs at least 3 buttons into a 2 button control scheme rather than building a game that works best with 2 buttons.

Ethereal by PixlWalkr 2016-01-04T02:55:00

Love the artstyle and music.

It would be nice if you could maybe hold both buttons to make the character go faster.

Longbeard by Joe Williamson 2015-12-15T08:16:00

And here comes Joe Williamson to claim his first prize in graphics per usual :P

Growing Ties by drludos 2015-12-18T20:56:00

I like it. Simple but fun.

Super Lefty Garden Fighty by hexagore 2015-12-15T15:12:00

I love the art.

The difficulty curve is a bit too flat though, maybe that's just me.

Radical Revolver Recoil Rampage by AndreasL 2015-12-20T14:01:00

Your initial idea seems somewhat similar to mine, just implemented very differently.

The controls are very simple, but there's a lot of tactical depth and consequence to each button press. The enemies and obstacles are varied and do a good job at showing the strength of the core mechanic.

You die often but the game the game gets your right back in shooting without skipping a beat.

Graphics are good, the sound effects are good and the music is very catchy.

Awesome game overall. Very fun.

Black White War by vicious_br 2015-12-14T12:26:00

Interesting concept, but I don't know how much of a game there actually is here. Almost no matter where you shoot, you're going to be gaining the same amount of territory, so the only thing that really effects the game are the capsules that freeze the opponent.

Awesome music by the way.

Ourobos by SinclairStrange 2015-12-15T08:56:00

Amazing!

I accidentally deleted my save when I was trying to exit the game, though. Escape is a horrible button for that.

Glow&Grow by Ivan Volkov 2016-01-02T19:57:00

Fun game.

It was really hard to tell which color you were on at the time. The slight transparent glow is really subtle.

[JJJ] - Jolly Jail Jumper by AwesomeAlliterationAlliance 2015-12-28T02:15:00

Really fun! Managed to beat it. It would have been really easy to just give this an abstract art style and backdrop but I like the jail setting how the color switching mechanic is justified with costume swapping.

It would have been nice if you could change costumes while going through a door/gate.

From the Deep by scorched 2015-12-14T11:28:00

Nice use of theme and nice level design! The layout of the island really makes the best of the strange controls and teases you with what's to come. The controls are kind of interesting but I think forcing in the two button theme kind detracted from the game rather than adding to it.

Dizzy Dazzle by Tselmek 2015-12-19T05:43:00

Like the music and visuals.

It's impossible to remember what color is clockwise/counterclockwise. Usually indicators should have some basis in human intuition. Green and clockwise is a complete non-sequitur.

Dungeon Wheel by BeardyBard 2015-12-18T16:28:00

Interesting concept. The game is far too easy though. The upgrades you get outscale the difficulty pretty hard. I had fights where 7 attack rats were trying to peirce my 20 armor. I only had to stop when I got stuck in a fight where neither of us could damage each other and there was no armor-down on the wheel. Without that bug, I probably could have gone forever without much effort.

Long Long: A snake lies in the Past by Tapehead 2015-12-19T14:58:00

Gorgeous visuals. Great music. Gameplay wise this is the most frustrating game I've played so far. The controls are incredibly unforgiving and the checkpoints are incredibly sparse.

The worst is when you see the sword glistening in the middle of the screen and you slither up to the pedastal and... die? It would have been a funny joke, if you didn't get sent back so many screens. Then you just seem like a dick. Like, do you really hate your players that much?

Temple of Gh'Ro by Studiosaurus 2015-12-14T15:25:00

I like the growing and shrinking gimmick. It's nearly identical to a game called Specter Spelunker Shrinks. Look it up if you haven't heard of it.

The controls are kind of awkward. Growing and shrinking should be S and D instead of z and x since your thumb naturally rests on the spacebar instead of having to contort your hand to use it. Using up to jump should be an option as well.

Some of the jumps are frustratingly precise. Partly because of the level design and the controls but also the spikes should either not be lethal when touched from the sides or should be much shorter and be designed so you can jump over a block with spikes on top while hugging the wall and still clear the spikes.

The visuals are charming. Using a giant backpack to make the character have square hit detection is a really quirky trick that I've never seen done before.

LD36 — Ancient Technology

Cronus' Tomb by Mr_Field 2016-08-30T22:23:00

Incredibly well polished and vivid game for just 68 hours. I imagine you have a lot of developing experience outside of Ludum Dare?

I actually felt kind of bad for the second boss. He really was trying his best.

Spectacular Stride Machine by Garfeild 2016-08-29T17:12:00

Perfectly goofy game. You guys really captured the whimsical sense of old-timey inventions and patents. I especially like how the stride machine walks while crouching.

Gameplay is pretty basic but it works well and is carried by the excellent sound and visuals.

1991BCE by GhostBomb 2016-08-29T15:21:00

@Flatgub

I like Game Maker a lot but I feel like this kind of game would have been easier to make on a different engine. Maybe I'm wrong.

Cave of Colors by Siegfried Croes 2016-08-30T18:25:00

Nice game! Nice touch making the enemies different shapes for people with color-blindness (though I'm not color-blind myself). Jumping is also a great mechanic that you seldom see in arena shooters that lets you avoid damage if you know what you're doing.

The difficulty spikes way up once the tougher enemies start showing up. I wasn't sure if the power up that spawned was a power up or spikes at first. It would be nice if you could use q and e to switch colors both ways and if you could see what the next and previous colors are.

Ancient Maze of Epla by xesenix 2016-08-29T03:59:00

Interesting take on the rogue-like turn system

CAVEMAN HARRY by Flatgub 2016-08-29T16:32:00

Finished the game! Very simple old school mechanics and charming graphics and dialogue but a surprising amount of content for a 48 hour game. The gameplay was solid for the most part, though Harry would always seem to move one space further than you want him to and the fact that everything has the same big square hit box that's larger than their sprite made dodging obstacles a bit frustrating.

Vålnad by Rutger Megahertz 2016-09-16T15:51:00

Nice aesthetics. Gameplay was a bit simplistic and the steering is awkward as you always forget which way you're facing.

Short interesting game overall.

cityglitch by ciaodavinci 2016-08-31T20:59:00

Unique audio and visual aesthetic along with unique puzzles. Great entry!

No Excavation Needed by PetterBergmar 2016-09-08T01:38:00

I liked the way that the level unfolded gradually.

In games where the character is jumping around a complex 3D space, there should be a shadow directly under the player, regardless of where the light source is so that they know where their character is depth wise and where they will land. The lack of this shadow combined with the complete lack of friction while in the air made it incredibly hard to make any sort of precise jump.

The player also seemed to stick to walls if they jumped too close to one, being unable to move at all while in the air.

Also, while keyboard wasn't your preferred control choice, you should still give more options than space bar for jump. My keyboard for example, can't process left, up, and spacebar commands simultaneously for whatever reason.

Phone Inventor by Xlip 2016-08-29T04:36:00

interesting concept though the mechanics seemed a bit finicky. I'm not sure what to do when the cable gets stuck to a block.

Rampage of Technology by kokiriandco 2016-08-30T18:09:00

The art and animation are awesome, especially in the opening sequence. The idea of playing as old 90s tech running from a hipster is awesome as well. The actual platforming engine is pretty awkward and buggy. Platformers can be tricky to program. You guys should practice making a solid platforming engine.

Ancient Temploot by QOGQOG 2016-08-30T00:16:00

Nice little rogue-like styled game. I was a bit confused at first but it didn't take me long to learn all the patterns for the enemies and traps. Simple and strategic.

Geomorph by bazoo 2016-09-14T02:19:00

Nice little game. Solid game play.

Gear Kitty by Raiyumi 2016-08-30T23:04:00

Awesome as always, Raiyumi!

It's kind of funny how you and @managore, another incredibly talented MetroidVania designer, had very similar ideas for this Ludum Dare.

Dino Hipster Survival by zulman 2016-09-14T14:32:00

Awesome game. Great music, art, and sound design.

The meteor spawning algorithm seems to ramp up dramatically after a few seconds and send a relentless hail of meteors after sending them in one at a time for a while. I found that once this happened if you tried to actually aim at the meteors you would waste most of your missiles and overheat, but if you just fired off vaguely off into the distance, the random scattering of the missiles would hit a lot more meteors, but occasionally the smaller, faster meteors would break through, so it became kind of random.

Cryptoglyphics by Bogden 2016-09-02T05:32:00

Cool concept! The game works a lot better with longer phrases or titles. Shorter answers tend to be mostly guesswork.

cognizance by managore 2016-08-29T05:27:00

Clever and well executed as usual. Awesome game.

The final puzzle was frustrating purely because it was really easy to run into static and lose all your progress while you're trying to manipulate the platforms.

Steam Heart by SinclairStrange 2016-09-15T00:36:00

It's crazy how much content you can come up with in 72 hours. Incredibly well polished. Has really nice juice, though some of the sound effects are a bit grating. It's crazy how many bosses you designed, I just wish that they maybe had a bit less health as well as the player having less health.

The default control scheme is an abomination so I'm glad you let us choose more sensible alternatives :P

LD38 — A Small World

Petty Puny Planet 38 by JorgeGameDev 2017-05-11T01:19:56Z

Interesting game. The graphics are incredibly polished and the the way choices lead into each other is satisfying. It seems like your world can branch off into a million different directions so maybe some choices should become unavailable after you've chosen a few others.

Obelisk by Orcolom 2017-05-12T20:45:20Z

This was a fantastic puzzle game! I love the art and the puzzles were all really well executed.

Even though this game is isometric I don't think the controls should have been skewed 45 degrees, especially since you can roam freely on each tile. If you want to have controls on the diagonal, you should use a control scheme like q, w, a, s. Just as an America centric example.

Protolife by icxon 2017-05-01T16:44:57Z

This is a pretty absorbing little rts game. It reminded me of this old game I used to play on Kongregate called Creeper World. I was disappointed that there weren't more levels.

I think two things this game really needs is a pause button so that you can have time to assess a situation and a restart button for when you get overwhelmed and don't have enough resources to fight back and just have to wait for death.

The music changing from calm to sinister in between phases is a nice touch.

Plonat Atek by s-ol 2017-05-10T11:29:16Z

This looks really cool.

Rockpolis: Town survival by Pete 2017-05-13T13:05:34Z

The card game engine itself is very nice. All the cards have a very satisfying sound when they are played and shuffled.

The balance in this game needs some work. Most of the blue cards just aren't worth getting, and you can easily beat hard difficulty while completely ignoring them (intense seems to be litterally impossible. You can barely fend off attackers even with a deck full of +5 defense cards).

I think if this game was expanded upon and balanced so that blue cards were more necessary, it could be pretty fun.

Path of the Rabbit by managore 2017-05-02T06:39:10Z

A lot harder than I expected it to be. You very quickly go from being in a good spot to being stuck or dead if you don't plan ahead, which I prefer to just being able to place tiles wherever and still win. I managed to beat it after several tries.

I like how each loss condition forces you to play the game. The threat of going off the edge makes you think about pathing more. The threat of dying to foxes forces you to actually use the pathing, and the threat of thirst forces you to stop stalling.

I wonder how adding the ability to "hold" a piece like in tetris would affect the game. Would it make the game more or less strategic?

Anyways great work yet again by the Compo God.

The Spoiled Prince by silkworm_sweatshop 2017-05-02T12:44:11Z

Really cute game. This really feels more like a Jam Game than a Compo Game. A lot of production value.

Man, I hate those chickens though.

tinyarena by rxi 2017-05-01T06:22:50Z

I beat every level and managed to get a perfect on most of them. It's amazing how engaging you managed to make your game with no human opponents. The AI is master-crafted. The only problem I found with the AI is that the super high handicap opponents are TOO good with the rail gun and will insta-spawn kill you repeatedly until they run out of ammo.

The only other nitpick I can think of is that on one of the maps you spawn right next to the edge of the map and if you're confused about who you are you'll immediately suicide. That should tell you the quality of the game if this is the only real criticism I can give. It's fantastic. Tons of fun.

Meteor Jam by PeachTreeOath 2017-05-10T09:17:25Z

Incredibly solid game. I don't know what to say that other comments haven't said other than that the upgrade numbers should ascend rather than descend so that it matches up with most number pads.

Roguelike One by Chris Otey 2017-05-11T07:02:12Z

I really liked the game, however I felt like a lot of the upgrades weren't very well balanced. Max health, for instance, is strictly worse than max sheilds, since shields will regenerate over time, while you have to spend an upgrade to heal your hearts.

It would also be nice if the direction your ship pointed wasn't locked to the direction you were moving and if your ship carried more momentum and could slide and drift. Using physics and controls similar to the game Luftrauser (without the gravity pulling you downward) would make the game feel more responsive and dynamic and would be a pretty good fit, in my opionion.

Pretty good work overall, though.

A Bombtastic World by dennyrocketdev 2017-05-02T13:03:51Z

Absolutely superb sound design. Like, wow. Everything was simple, stylish, and professional.

Last day of the woods by Redblack Spade 2017-05-11T02:28:09Z

YESSSSSSSS this is just the sort of entry I was hoping for. Everything about this is just so well done and so charming. I can't imagine the 72 hours of slaving away required to make this masterpiece. It reminds me of a really good old freeware game. So much love put into such a short amount of time.

There is a pretty substantial bug where orbs will spawn where you died instead of reapearing where they're supposed to which could lead to some soft locks. I'd classify that as a game breaking bug so if you could fix that then this game would be perfect. The non-completionist ending is also a bit of a tease.

Favorite game so far.

Miniverse by sebasrez 2017-05-13T13:57:01Z

The fourth won't accept my candle...

edit: oh, aparently you have to aproach him while you have your candle on your planet. If you're holding the candle and then put it on your planet while you're next to him, it won't work.

The Curator by adcrusher 2017-05-11T11:38:46Z

Super lovely pixel art.

It would be nice to get some weapon upgrades or powerups since it's not very satisfying to have a screen full of destructible asteroids that you can't destroy and have to let float past you. Also it doesn't really look like I'm "collecting" the planets so much as outright destroying them....

Overall though it's just an incredibly polished and fun experience.

Planetone by shillingburg 2017-05-10T08:46:43Z

Fun little toy. I wish there was something closer to a snare within the set of cacti.

Batter Bros. by fanatrick 2017-05-04T10:07:15Z

Very well executed Lethal League clone. I really love the colorful crayon-like pixel work and playing inside a glass dome was a really neat twist. One thing I don't understand is that the balls streak the color of the player that hit it last, but other than that, they're neutral in the sense that they can hit anyone. It kind of dampens the reward of hitting a fast flying ball when it's still just as dangerous to you afterwards, especially if you hit it from behind and it bounces right back into your face. Just a small critique to a great entry.

Planet Energico by SubWooferX3 2017-05-11T00:39:32Z

This was a nice avoid em' up game, but I'm not sure how it's based on rhythm other than the meteors bobbing to the beat and the ufos firing on beat. Even if the meteors and missiles spawn on the beat, you don't need to dodge them on the beat, and there's no intrinsic reason to move on the beat otherwise. I think an idea similar to @TheMadStrauss would make the game pretty awesome.

SORLD by Fiery Squirrel 2017-05-11T00:24:03Z

Cute game. I liked the little message at the end.

Seven Pillars by Jeremy Ryan 2017-05-08T05:22:51Z

Having your fingers literally mimicking the cat's every move is a very interesting and visceral use of a keyboard. The prompt for which key to press is far too faint. It should be much more visually pronounced since it's the most important thing on the screen, but other than that the art and music were good.

Talk Isn't Cheap by Riker Greenslade 2017-05-19T05:32:25Z

Absolutely top marks for audio. The dynamic soundtrack is SO good.

The game reminded me a ton of Transmission, which is another game about communication technology with an awesome dynamic soundtrack.

King of Tiny Mountain by malec2b 2017-05-02T12:38:15Z

Fun little game. Knowing the depth of objects is really difficult though. Even just a slight perspective change every now and then would help a lot.

You can accelerate to much higher speeds while in the air than when you're on the ground, which made me want to bunny hop everywhere rather than walking. I don't know if this is good or bad. Bunny hopping is pretty fun.

Symbios by drestuff 2017-05-04T11:55:09Z

Apparently the best way to have different colored microbes live in harmony is to segregate them to different corners of the map. I'm... not sure how I feel about that.

Jokes aside the art style and general feel of the game super well polished and stylish, with all sorts of cute details. Nice job.

Becky's very very Small and TOTALLY not mundane World by pmarincak 2017-05-10T11:11:51Z

I really love the pixel art on this game! I think you might have some sort of memory leak though, since the game starts to slow down after a while.

eiland by rubna 2017-05-01T07:30:20Z

I managed to get the treasure chest open by coaxing the bird with the key over to the chest using fruit, which doesn't make too much sense but I'll take it. From reading the comments, you can apparently hit the bird with a rock, but trying to grab the key from the bird or hitting the bird with a coconut doesn't work, even though they both would make sense within the rules of the game.

Other than that, I really liked the game. The art and physics and attention to small details was great.

Cubical by earthcollapse 2017-05-14T09:27:12Z

I really really love the visual design of this game. I feel like gameplay wise the game didn't ramp up in difficulty or complexity enough to hold my attention, but was otherwise well executed.

10 Steps to Elysium - Sword Practice by ghostbomb 2022-10-04T02:38:52Z

@pincushion The original idea was a tactical roguelite where you could add new moves and attacks to your "deck" and you'd fight encounters kind of slay the spire style. Probably a better idea for a week-long Jam than a 48 hour one.

10 Steps to Elysium - Sword Practice by ghostbomb 2022-10-04T06:56:24Z

@lustdante Thanks for the comment? What do you mean by your last statement exactly?

10 Steps to Elysium - Sword Practice by ghostbomb 2022-10-21T21:45:32Z

@alchemic I'd agree. Pacing and balance is probably the hardest thing to nail during a jam. I pushed myself on the concept and mechanics a bit more this jam so I had very little time to focus on getting the game part of the game finely tuned. <3

Shimash by thedashdude 2022-10-06T05:37:04Z

Got 170.70 Very cool! I love these minigame entries people are making. Very well made!

I think the flashing in the first game is a bit intense, and I think I died to an undodgeable pattern in the grid game though.

Pizza Game by chuckeles 2022-10-18T09:46:46Z

Nothing is explained and you have 0 chance of actually completing all the orders but somehow that just makes this game tons of fun. Probably the first game I gave 5 stars for humor without the game even really needing to tell an actual joke.

Baseball of Max Stress by snesgaard 2022-10-07T04:11:43Z

Love the artwork! This has a kind of pull where I want to get as far as possible just to see how hectic the game can get. I got 157 but I've notice a problem where your bat hitbox will linger and hit a tomato when you hit a baseball just before it once the game gets fast enough.

TENTEN JUMP! by SuperGamersGames 2022-10-03T02:13:46Z

Really nice! It'd be interesting if the level order was semi-random so that you'd have to think more on your toes. It'd also make runs more interesting when you're retry over and over a lot.

Game feel is super solid. Very cool!

Blink by JUSTCAMH 2022-10-09T02:27:28Z

Best game of the Jam so far for me. Only downside is that now my phone is filled with notes from this game.

SENTRY_PROJECT_17 by eyedromeda 2022-10-18T09:23:01Z

This idea has a ton of potential. I think it needs a bit more tweaking to make is as fun as possible though. I think ironically 10 seconds is too much time for both modes, it'd feel more dynamic if the switching was more rapid pace.

There's a lot of really nice touches and detail with the audio and general feel of the game. I like that your sentry moves very slightly from the recoil from firing. Really great job tbh.

Holospecter by theStoff 2022-10-05T22:48:08Z

HydroRobia by JoeShanahan 2022-10-09T07:20:18Z

I managed to complete all the levels! The puzzles are very thoughtfully constructed. I love the design of the main characters. I like robot characters a lot. I just wish she didn't have the handling of a boat T_T.

Drying tomatoes by Dekajoo 2022-10-12T00:06:02Z

Really impressive music and graphics. It'd be nice if you got a bit of grace period or health so that you don't just have to restart all the way at the beginning if you fall into the water.

Countdown Cowboy by waffleworksgames 2022-10-05T05:49:26Z

Got 1000 points! I'm surprised that more people didn't make Wario Ware style games this Jam. It's not the most unique idea but it's a great way to make a good entry.

These were great! Art Was great, music was great, games were great!

Robo-Clash 1999 by JHax 2022-10-03T22:29:05Z

This concept is really interesting. I think I'd need another player to really get the most out of it because you can't really play mind games against an AI opponent. Vs basic you can guess that they'll change their stance if they're in a weak stance or the same stance as you but that's about it.

Windy Mountain by InitialPosition 2022-10-02T23:02:03Z

This is extremely well done! Really liked it! Everything felt really polished for 48 hours.

I have a small nitpick because everything else is really great: It's a little disorienting having the camera snap back to the center every time you stop moving. It'd be nice to just let the camera stay off center and then have it drift the other way when you move to the other direction.

I love the wind effects btw.

ZyperZetron® 2000 by Massena 2022-10-06T08:34:08Z

These graphics are really incredible for a compo game. I don't like how hard it is to control the cursor. I know that's part of the point but it kinda detracts from the puzzley aspect of the game for me.

Compulsive Jousting by Mavvy 2022-10-16T06:44:56Z

Graphics and Audio are amazing for a compo! Very simple but very well done. Definately a favorite.

Downpour by chris1919 2022-10-04T02:55:40Z

OMG I love it! <3<3<3 I love bats! Very cute!

My tiny nitpick: It'd be nice if lightning had a different audio cue than wind when it was about to strike. Sometimes I didn't notice the small icon change.

The Gemancipator by spooncats 2022-10-06T08:43:33Z

Nice game. This is a good twist on this type of puzzle game. I think no one would have faulted you for bending the theme a bit and letting waves come faster at higher levels since otherwise you spend a lot of time waiting for waves to get enough points.

Sprint10 by Ben Parisi 2022-10-03T18:42:51Z

The level design is actually really really great. The controls are a bit stiff maybe, and I really would have liked to have seen the rest of the levels. I made it almost to the end of the part where you are out in the open but the stages are very unforgiving for a lives system like this. Also, what's up with only WASD? I'm not using my right hand to shoot anything or look around so I would have like to use arrow keys.

More nitpicks because this game is great: After I grab a checkpoint, I'd like the game to remember that I'm holding down forward without having to repress it.

Very fun. Reminds me of the postman minigame from majora's mask.

The Cursed Tart by Ilari 2022-10-08T10:13:46Z

Pretty cool game. Wish there was a bit more clarity towards cause and effect: (aka, having doors appear barred while there are enemies, have the twin door locked with two locks.) Was gonna say that with only ranged enemies the chicken form is just useless, but when you introduced melee enemies that chase you chicken form becomes very good in certain situations so nice job adding those imo.

Slime cat! by Sofy 2022-10-03T04:11:11Z

Nice work.

LD52 — Harvest

Dice Settlers by Jimbly 2023-01-22T04:11:56Z

Fun game! It feels a bit restrictive in the beginning as there's not much choice in where to place dice. Wood and Stone also both seem horrifically expensive considering how many game actions it takes to get gold compared to harvesting wood or stone. This really solidly made and I'm impressed this came from just 48 hours. Great work <3

@HypernoodleJon That's a really great idea! I wanted the game to be short so I didn't bother with health but I really like your suggestion!

@danmerey Thank you for the in depth feedback! Sorry, the keyboard controls are a bit of a last resort. The game really is meant to be played with a controller!

Lil Death by ghostbomb 2023-01-17T18:01:05Z

@yaen @fabdynamic Nice Scores! Once you really learn how to keep a combo going your score can shoot WAY up.

I wonder who the first person to break 10,000 will be? ;)

Lil Death by ghostbomb 2023-01-17T18:11:56Z

@fabdynamic I don't remember my highest point score but my highest combo I think was 69 (no jokes please). The first competition started when you guys started keeping track of your scores in the comments lol.

Lil Death by ghostbomb 2023-01-23T03:26:54Z

@ategon Oh wow, you just smashed everyone else's scores like nothing lol. Thanks for playing <3

There's a random tip from Mama Death that says you refresh your jump every 5th combo you hit. I'm surprised you might have never seen it. There's no visual and audio feedback though which is obviously a necessary feature I just didn't have time for. I thought that refreshing the double jump on every single hit would make made comboing a bit too easy but I want to know other's thoughts on it.

Pomodoro Panic by pkenney 2023-01-22T08:14:42Z

Oh my god this is so fun! <3

There's so many extra flourishes in the way object interactions work that send this from a mediocre entry to one of my favorite games so far. The way items just fly everywhere and you have to try to scramble to get tomatoes and water plants and having to avoid the other tool when you don't need it and when you accidentally grab the wrong tool you have to scramble to juggle between them while trying to cram tomatoes into the canner and you can just push a whole train of tomatoes towards a canner and then then when you try to jam them into the canner they get stuck until you muscle past them and then suddenly they all just instantly pop out as cans all at once <3. There's a lot of emergent strategies that come up that you learn by necessity. I'm glad you didn't make us go back to the beginning. It's more fun to keep trying a level until you master it. <3

Love it <3<3<3

Beat day 5 too <3

Hey congrats on the silver trophy!

Furious Farm: Total Reap-Out by TRASEVOL_DOG 2023-01-21T06:14:15Z

The artstyle is fantastic! Wow!

The gameplay is fun but it's a little simple and the offensive items seem difficult to put to good use.

Strange Garden by Gunturtle 2023-01-09T06:33:23Z

These graphics are amazing! Awesome game! Tons of fun!

I didn't realize the pig fruit counted diagonals so I was wondering why they'd never grow on my first playthrough. After I figured that out it was a lot easier :D

Harvest Roll by NekuSoul 2023-01-22T07:54:08Z

Very cool and unique game! I think the orders come in a bit too slow though. I never really felt that pressured. You can produce enough dice each turn where even if you lose a lot of them you can always have a huge variety of dice on hand to fill any order after a while. A bit more UI feedback would also go a long way.

Wheat World by Belonzik 2023-01-16T08:46:30Z

Best game I've played I think. I just wish it had controller support.

(the smallest nitpick, I wish when I would snip then quickly turn around, it would snip where I was facing rather than my new direction.)

Drillydown by Peter Jonsson 2023-01-19T16:18:22Z

Cool game. Lovely palette. Got stuck on level 2 until I figured out i could just go backwards :P

Hex-Yield by AndideBob 2023-01-10T15:31:13Z

Really fun toy! I found most of the tiles but I couldn't find a few. I found the wizards tower which seems to be the most complex tile since it's at the end though? Reminds me of other "discovery by trying combinations" games like doodle god and stuff.

Bloodflail by Untitled Studios 2023-01-15T13:31:34Z

Really fun and juicy arcade game! The balance is very off as other commenters have said. You quickly become invincible. Balance is incredibly hard to get right in such a tight timeframe though, I get it wrong all the time, lol. It wouldn't take much tweaking to make this a total banger. Music is awesome and visuals are simple but satisfying.

Apothecary by benskca 2023-01-12T12:43:43Z

Very cool game! Even though there wasn't much external challenge, the recipes are involved enough to be challenging anyways. More feedback from stuff like putting ingredients in the cauldron would go a long way.

Tuber Trouble by Vyolfers 2023-01-19T16:44:54Z

OMG I love the main character so much she's so cute!!<3

The enemy spawning gets out of hand super quick but I managed to win after learning how to track and slice those baby carrots.tuber high score.png

Jack the Reaper by FabDynamic 2023-01-15T12:04:38Z

This reminds me of one the first games I ever made, which was also similar to Pac Man. Very cool.

Some more risk and reward would go a long way. Levels should probably get harder the longer you stay in them, and it should take longer than an instant to go to the next one. This concept has potential.

Squirrelativity by cassowary 2023-01-09T12:36:23Z

Really fun and inventive! Love it!

Little Eden by gerudoking 2023-01-16T15:14:49Z

Love the concept and execution! The artstyle is so cute <3 and I love the music.

I think the gatling gun is a lot more useful than the other harvested weapons imo. The laser doesn't do much damage and the bomb is too slow to detonate. Other than that it's perfect. I survived for 4 minutes.

The Cursed Vest of Soul Harvesting by Frogravity 2023-01-16T14:59:29Z

Really nice game with some decently tricky puzzles. Managed to defeat the boss.

District 17 by Paulsams 2023-01-12T14:44:54Z

It's really cool you went with something this ambitious even though it's a little unpolished. Great entry! Really cool artwork and concept.

Green King of Vegetables by MelekTaus 2023-01-17T17:45:11Z

Fun game. The upgrades definitely outpace the difficulty increase by quite a lot though.

The 3d models and animations are all incredibly appealing.

lanterns & mooncakes by ty_ 2023-01-09T08:32:51Z

Super cute game <3 :D Great cutscenes! Love the little ghost(?) characters <3.

The physics for the lanterns is a bit strange. The way you interact with them is as if they are seesaws, where they tilt downwards towards where the most weight is, but they are set up like they are swings, which should move more based on momentum. They also lack inertia which is a gameplay problem since you can't stand on one side then switch to the other side before they start to move back to the center. Physics problems might not be your thing but I find solving stuff like this interesting. Making swinging lanterns with believable physics would be a fun challenge imo.

4 Souls 2 Reap by Kepsert 2023-01-10T04:23:57Z

Really cute game! Love the art for all the characters! The keyboard and gamepad controls are both kind of unintuitive. I really like to use home row keys for games that also want me to use shift and spacebar, and for the gamepad, I naturally have my fingers on the shoulder triggers so having to use the buttons instead is a bit awkward. This also makes the later levels very hard because there's a bunch of different inputs you have to chain in a row correctly in the right order.

We did get that fifth soul though! <3

Dream in the garden by AL43868 2023-01-16T14:55:59Z

Neat little game. Thank you for this!

Billiard Hero by thyoi 2023-01-13T04:59:11Z

Very cool and colorful game! This is amazing work as a compo. All the balls look fantastic as they roll around and the effects are gorgeous.

I will say that trying to perform ultra precice dodging as a slow, heavy, billiard ball with tons of inertia that ricochets off of the edges of the board is very frustrating.

Sorry Sans.

Mineralia by googlypoo 2023-01-12T13:07:35Z

Very fun and strategic game. And well polished too!

Oh, you also did clockwork from last compo! Nice to see you again!

Tractor Tony's Pro Reaper by Fabian Denter 2023-01-15T13:29:35Z

Wow hot damn the music is so good. The physics are fun to play with but the timer doesn't give you much time to mess around and explore before you have to narrow in on trying to complete maybe a few objectives at most before you are booted out, so more leniency on time would be nice.

Very fun little homage.

Catchy by danmerey 2023-01-10T03:23:11Z

cool game. Art is really cool. I could not find that many rare fish though, and it was hard trying to fight the wind to try to explore the map.

Collector of _ by Jujus 2023-01-19T16:31:38Z

Very cute game! The art looks great! Especially the background and floor tiling! I love the push and pull mechanic and it feels fantastic to use but I feel like it was a bit underexplored in the level design maybe? The combat was decent but maybe could have used a bit more development to make it really feel satisfying.

Overgrowth by Sheng Mai 2023-01-12T14:21:06Z

I got a time of 10:49! Very well polished game with very cute graphics.

Nesting by HypernoodleJon 2023-01-09T07:17:30Z

Very cute game! The movement felt really unique and fun to wrangle with!

You could maybe make it a bit more puzzly and challenging if your bird couldn't do more than hop at a certain weight, but could drop some of their stuff, or if you had to drop them on switches to weight them down.

Not saying the game needs to be challenging though, it's a nice little experience!
