Once I knew what kind of game this was and what to look out for it was really fun to figure things out. Not a big fan of the sound effects to be honest, but the rest was well done!

Once I knew what kind of game this was and what to look out for it was really fun to figure things out. Not a big fan of the sound effects to be honest, but the rest was well done!
Innovative take on the theme, haven't seen that one in other games so far! I agree on the text at the beginning, it went by too quickly, but thanks for posting it in one of the other comments. The gameplay idea was fun at first, but became very hard once there were a few more options. Great job on the graphics, they fit very well with the rest of the game!
Very sweet game! I liked the game loop a lot, and was glad when I realized that it was pretty fair overall. Well done!
Very fun and funny game. Looks super nice and clean, has a fittingly chunky UI, plays well and has some cool surprises to discover. I would be more specific, but don't want to spoil anything for folks glancing over the comments before playing. I agree with one of the above comments about the music being a bit repetitive, but in general I liked the sound design. Overall a very good entry, good job! So, when is the full version coming out? ;)
As a fan of games like Anno or AOE I like this a lot! I would have loved some quality of life features which would have reduced clicking (like building multiple of the same building in a row without selecting it each time) but for a jam this is impressive. Good job, I'll now enjoy my pumpkin pie!
This is a very good (and realistic) idea! The minigames were fun and the cat adorable. Unfortunately, I was fired, but at least the cat was happy!
Very clear and simple game, but the dash mechanic adds a nice little touch of strategic thinking. Well done!
Agree with everyone that the explosions are very satisfying! Not sure if intended, but one chain reaction filled the entire screen with coins which made me laugh, because it was unexpected after the rather slow start. My framerate dropped to single digits a few times when multiple big explosions happened in sequence, but it was also almost like an accidental bullet time effect ;) Overall a fun experience, well done!
Very cool entry! Found it a bit hard to keep the extra moves on the top of the screen in my view and apply them with everything else going on, but that also might as well be the intent here. I like how punchy you made every input feel and I love the poses you created for the bird. They're hilarious, and easy to translate into the desired input! The theme feels a bit shoehorned in, but I guess that's more a fault of the theme, not you. Good job! :)
I like the presentation and general mood of it, as well as the pixel art - it's very pretty! Not sure if it was intended, but the room transitions felt a little weird and I wasn't immediately sure, what I need to do. But overall, great game!
Liked the simple yet clear visuals, it all had a very nice color scheme. I feel like it could start out even slower, I felt that it triggered a Game Over a little too soon after only a couple missed pieces - I only ever got to 4 plates. Still a good entry, good job! (btw the version embedded on this site doesn't seem to work for me, but itch does)
Very atmospheric entry, especially the audio is fantastic. The overall mood and the character gave me Little Nightmares vibes and I like the way you interpreted the theme as this background element of guidance. Good work!
Great mood! Can't really say anything negative here, I enjoyed the PS1 graphics and details like the train passing added a lot. I got stuck when I stood where the drone with the container landed, after it flew away I couldn't leave the container. But nothing that a restart couldn't fix. Overall al great entry, well done!
Big fan of this! Some of the minigames are better than others of course, I particularly liked the fill the train one, that one was quite satisfying! I like the overall look and feel of this. Some of the games could have been explained a bit better, I think. Very good entry, congrats!
Very hard game, I only managed to get 4 keys. But I like the lightning effects and how quick it is to restart! I think the gameplay would benefit from coyote time, I found the platforming to be almost impossible (or I'm bad at platformers). Still a good entry!
Great idea and cute art! The gameplay was fun and challenging as well, some levels took a few tries to get to the end. Liked it a lot!
Super interesting concept, like it a lot! I agree with other that it should be a bit easier to dodge the polygons, especially when there are multipliers or divisions happening. But overall a very good entry, good job!
Took me a while to realize that I don't get hurt by "enemies". Overall I like the high energy of it all, though I have to say, I expect a shotgun to sound a bit... heavier ;)
@naemis Hey thanks for playing my game and the kind words! I probably only finished it in time because of the lack of game mechanics, but I agree, that's something I'd like to explore more in future jams. Regarding the theme, the pulses come indeed every 10 seconds. I decided to purely interpret it as a narrative element, and it's essentially just a single InvokeRepeating method that runs every 10 seconds. Oh, and the "voice acting" is just regular, but heavily processed text to speech, no humans involved here ;)
@justabread Thanks! I agree with the thing you said about the interactive part. At the very beginning I cut some ideas for scope reasons, which was a good decision in the end (as it meant the game got done), but that was at the cost of interactivity and player agency. I'm glad you still enjoyed it!
@wizcas Thank you for playing and the kind words! I like the night visuals better as well :)
@harry-alissavakis Hey thank you so much, Harry! Happy you enjoyed it!
@soskstu Thanks a lot for playing and the kind words!
@ussendayoo Glad you liked it, thanks for playing!
@indigo You are absolutely right, I fell into the feature creep trap a lot before, so I tried to limit myself in terms of features (especially regarding gameplay) and put most of my time into the stuff I know I can do fast and well. Though I'm very intrigued to leave my comfort zone in future jams. Thanks for playing and the feedback!
@raivk Thanks, it's an honor to be compared to a fantastic game like In Other Waters, thanks for playing!
@labtoast Yeah, the theme is a bit subtle. I still think it works as a purely narrative element (and would have liked to do more with it in that regard). Thanks for your kind words, and for playing of course!
@oatsbarley Thank you! There are a couple of flaws with how the UI reacts, unfortunately it was too late to fix them. Hope it wasn't too bad :)
Very atmospheric and spooky, the music and sfx are very well done and fitting. The only thing a bit weird was the running - it sometimes wouldn't trigger. Is there a hidden stamina system? Other than that, great spin on the theme, well done!
The art is so great, love the animations and how the character reacts to the maize, small touches like this add a lot to the polished feel. The first few times I died almost immediately, but then I got the hang of it and made it home. Well done!
Great one, fast paced and diverse mechanics and enemy types. I didn't get anywhere near the leaderboard ranks, but I still had fun! Well done!
I love a good nostalgic game, and this is definitely one. I don't have a strong affection for pokemon games, but I used to play the first ones back then, so this kind of brought me back there. Only thing I didn't really like were the controls, but that's mostly because I use QWERTZ layout and the Z key was very far from the others :) Overall very well done!
With that title screen you had me immediately! Great entry, the mood is very cool. I generally don't like mazes, but since this is not really a maze puzzle, I think it adds to the tension not to know if there's a dead end around the corner. I eventually made it to the exit but played again to see what happened if it got me, did not regret. Well done!
Cute simple game! I liked the hit & catch loop a lot. It was quite easy to cheese by just spamming the mouse button, but that's just a minor complaint. Maybe the fish could move at different speeds or change their speed along the way or something like that. Or a longer cooldown for the wha. After all, even bears don't have infinite stamina! But overall well done!
I had a talent of jumping right into the projectiles of those archers, but that definitely was my fault. Otherwise a quite fun entry, which felt good to play even if the movement was a bit clunky at times. The attacking however felt very satisfying and made up for that. Well done!
This is a great entry! I like that you have a clear game loop that is both chill and challenging and very easy to understand. 2 things I think could be improvements: - A dedicated interact button would make sense, as it would happen a lot that I was on my way to a specific fruit but touched the trigger for the box next to it unintentionally. I would then be stuck with the unwanted fruit until I planted it somewhere - Might just be a bug, but while holding a seed, I was able to trigger the chop animation, but chopping the trees would not work. Maybe consider disabling the animation or allowing tree chopping while holding a seed
But these are just minor things, I enjoyed my few runs a lot. I especially like that everything just grows on trees. I'd love me some strawberry tree in my garden!
Played this for longer than I thought I would, it is super satisfying. I love how you kept the upgrades seemingly uncapped so at some point the game basically played itself, which again was very satisfying. Music, sounds and graphics are great as well! Well done!
Very cool, simple game! I love the idea of oldschool cheat codes for a jam game, so extra points for that. Also extra points to your son for his voice acting, he did a very good job! Well done!
Exactly my kind of humor, very good!
Fantastic mood, I especially like the music and how it fits the tempo of the countdown. Made me really nervous and anxious (a good thing in this game!). I also liked the way I had to figure everything out just by being given a fixed amount of information, though I think some sort of help or guidance would make it easier to approach for people with bad short term memory (like myself). But overall, great game with an even greater presentation!
Great take on the theme, love the audio and the in-your-face presentation! Made it to 11 and got a nice vest for Harv. Well done!
Liked it a lot, great presentation! At first I found it weird that I can just walk around the enemies, when they are rushing at me, but then I appreciated it and thought that it adds to the overall design. Nice entry!
One of the most creative games I played in LD52, love those tiny narratives. Super cool!
Feels great to play and has a nice style, but for my slow brain there's too much going on to be able to succeed ;)
This was fun! I agree that the trees having names (and eyes?) is a nice touch. The bike controlled very well and I liked the progression system. The feedback and sound of hitting trees was also very satisfying, well done!
One of the most visually pleasing entries I've seen so far, very cool. Also the mechanic with the color mixing is very nice. I feel like the movement of the circles could use be a bit of work, sometimes it felt quite floaty. Also this game would be perfect for a subtle ambient soundscape, but even without that it's a very cool, and very unique game!
Stared at and clicked on the screen for a minute and tried to figure out what to do, then I saw the potato in the corner. Gave me some nostalgic Angry Birds vibes, and I like nostalgia, so well done!
Worked pretty well, I think it could use a bit more tempo or some other sort of dynamic element, maybe more enemy types? Other than that a pretty solid entry! I liked the acapella and layered aspects to the music a lot, well done!
Super cool and pretty game! I made a game with a similar fixed camera once and it was the main thing people complained about, but I think you used it pretty well here, as it guided me pretty efficiently through the level. Special shoutout to the composer, I liked the music a lot. Well done, everyone!
I agree about the movement being a bit sluggish at time, but I still was able to finish it. Took a while to find a place for the third item, as you said earlier, it would probably be better to make the shapes a bit more unique. But overall a good, and good looking entry!
Very hard, but thanks for the tool tips. I think I didn't quite get the hang of it, but I tend to be bad at these kind of games. Visually it's very pretty and the sounds and music work well, too! Well done!
Ha, very good idea and a great name ;) Liked the mechanics, would have loved some sound effects, but the music and visuals also work very well together. Cool entry!
@greynovembergames Thanks a lot!
@pushmepullyu Glad you liked it!
@antsa Thanks! You're right, the goals should be shown in the pause menu and when a run ends. You can see the goals which are left to do when you go back and select the same level again. I set up the whole goals UI pretty badly as it was one of those things that I realized I had to do very close to the deadline, so it isn't very modular. But I'm happy you had fun nonetheless! :)
@dkdwrek Thanks for the kind words! For the extra trippiness I abused the Temporal Antialiasing settings. When set up in the worst possible way, it gives a decent frame smearing effect :)
@lex Thank you! Yes, you're right, I should have put those goals in the pause and after-run UI, see above. Thanks for playing!
@clyde Thanks for playing! Hope the seasickness wasn't too bad!
@cloughd Thanks for playing and the kind words!
@wuppos Thanks, glad you liked it! As for the cows, well, I wanted them to fall over, but had no time to implement it. So I just used one of my existing goal systems (colliding with stuff) and said in the "goal completed" message that the cows are just too strong to fall over - but the goal is still done when the message appears ;) The player to just respawn when falling off of one of the floating islands was my initial idea, but with how I set up the player controller it wasn't as easy as I thought due to the physics of Unity being a mystery box to me...
Those poor rats. I just finished playing A Plague Tale and this feels like a spiritual successor of some sorts ;) Great entry, well done!
As the others said, great graphics and mood! I also got stuck on the collisions sometimes and I agree that some sort of feedback to the player (be it on form of UI or dialogue or otherwise) would help with the end not feeling so abrupt. But especially for a first game jam entry, this is very good!
I agree with everyone above, very creepy atmosphere. I also think that - at least for the start of the game - the enemies might be a bit to fast or strong. But otherwise very cool concept and execution, also the making of you put up is really interesting!
Had no problem starting the game. And it was quite fun, I managed to save a lot of my rat friends (though, they might have been save under the earth anyway? ;)) I agree with one of the other people who commented that the abilities on 1 + 2 is not really ideal, maybe q and e would have been a choice worth considering. But otherwise, a fun and solid entry, well done!
Took me a few moments to get it, same as the commenter above me. I ended up selling almost all of my customers burgers that I found in the trash, but they didn't mind and I like that this is a viable strategy for winning the game. And I got a nice reward at the end! Nice, weird entry!
A very innovative way of character controls I would say ;) Though I have to admit, a bit more control over the directions would help a little. I'm not sure if there is an ending to the game? I played for a couple minutes, but it continues to go on. Also, the UI is showing me a box that goes over two thirds of the screen prompting me to click inside it to move, but clicks seem to be registered also outside the box. Maybe a resolution thing?
That was fantastic! I liked everything about it, the colors, the worldbuilding, music, characters - everything is on a very high level of polish and the progression is super rewarding. Very well done!
Classic endless runner experience that works really well and fits the theme. I think it could get faster a little, well, faster ;) The audio was a nice personal touch and overall this is a very solid entry, well done!
I like this text heavy approach to the theme, it really stands out. There's a simple elegance to how you present everything and I really enjoyed my time playing through it, well done!
To echo what others have said, I'd love to have an in-game tutorial or something like that. It looks and sounds cool, but I was unable to understand what exactly I had to do here. But still, you made a game, that counts, and it's good to hear you're thinking about continuing to work on this game!
I am horribly bad ad these kinds of games, but I still enjoyed my time with this one. The movement feels very snappy and tight and I like that you at least made the first levels quite easy. I liked it, well done!
That was really funny at some times, even though (or maybe because?) it's so simple I enjoyed my time here, well done!
Fun little entry, I managed to get the first jump with the help of the gif you posted above and went on from there. I found a key and noticed that a barrier above was gone now, but couldn't get there. But until that point I enjoyed my time with it. The controls are pretty tight, I just wish it started out a bit easier :)
Also when I died the death message stayed on my screen and didn't go away, while (I assume, based on the sounds) the game was still running in the background. But nothing a quick restart couldn't fix. Overall cool entry, and I want a bagel now...
Somehow I missed the instruction that said I needed to go back to the beginning to pick up a new baby. Instead I thought the arrows pointed me in the direction of the next baby. But once I figured that out, I managed to successfully deliver a couple of babies! Nice entry, easy to learn and fun to play!
I like the minimal visual style of this a lot. The mechanics are complex at first but over time you get to know the controls and inventory better and better. Orientation is a bit hard, but nevertheless I kept playing for a while. Well done!
Indeed impressive work on the audio-visual side, but not only there! Genuinely creepy, reminded me of the atmosphere in Inscyption somehow. I also liked that you didn't throw jumpscare after jumpscare into my face. To me that makes it even scarier. Would've loved to see more gameplay with the crucifix, but I assume that was outside the 48h scope :) Well done!
Loved the bouncy controls! It became harder to control as I bought more upgrades for the engine, and the physics glitched out a couple of times when I landed on the rear of the scooter, which then couldn't be controlled anymore and instead started to weirdly bounce until the timer ended (It looked funny though!). It took a while until I understood how to pick up more than one pizza, but when I got it, it started to become way more satisfying. Well done!
Those poor babies that didn't land in their spot. It was quite satisfying to see them bouncing around, though, so there's that. ;) The flying mechanic was interesting, I definitely like that it's usable with just one hand, but I think there was one axis missing that I'd like to be able to rotate around. But still, solid entry!
For me your game loads! Played a few rounds and while it feels a bit glitchy (I was accidentally pushed into the air much more often that I'd like to ;) ) it overall works! Congrats on finishing in time!
People here say it's very relaxing, I found it very stressful, but only because my memory seems to be very bad :) I like the idea and you executed it well! Nice entry!
Can report the same bug (getting stuck below the ground) as the commenter before me. Other than that I really liked that you put story in this! The flying controls were cool too, but in some places I would have preferred less obstacles that push you back so far. Well done!
Great idea to let players eject the package when they clearly overshot (which happened to me a lot). Got the hang of it after a while and it was pretty fun! Sometimes I clearly hit a target, but it wouldn't register a hit. Overall a nice entry, well done!
Great game that shows perfectly how reliant we have become on waypoints or other navigation systems. I managed to deliver exactly 1 package before I got lost. So props for the name, it fits well! Jokes aside, this is a great entry, I think finding your way with just a map and your surroundings is an interesting concept and you managed to capture the essence of it pretty well. Maybe some more visually unique landmarks could make it even more interesting. Well done!
Indeed very relaxing game, had a lot of fun finding all the different fish. The fishing mechanic is really solid, well done!
Had a really hard time to adapt to the controls, which is funny given how close they are to our usual wasd habits. Still, once adapted, the rest of the game falls into place and is really nice and well executed. Simple, but pretty and effective graphics, the music is cool, and the puzzles are interesting. Well done!
I also had some jittering, but it wasn't too bad. I loved the emotions meter, very nice touch. The overall idea is also great and well executed, well done!
Great idea, was hoping someone interpreted the theme this way! Great execution and though I am not a funny guy (apparently, I got a D) I had a very good time with this game. Nice entry!
Didn't expect to learn something while playing jam games, so this was a nice surprise. Well done!
This is a simple as it gets and it's perfect for that! Really fun game, something about the mid-air sprite made me laugh each time. Well done!
Solving these puzzles feels very rewarding, even for someone like me who is really terrible at puzzle games. Well done!
@lisek-gagatek Thanks for the feedback, I agree with most things, especially the unintended wall climbing was an annoying bug I discovered during the final hours of the jam and couldn't fix in time. I started only with a basic version of the main menu code, everything else including the visuals was done within the 48h of the jam.
The plane is fun to fly, I quickly ignored my goal of delivering packages (found it very hard to anticipate the right time for dropping them) and started to fly around and do cool plane stuff. ;)
Super pretty and relaxed little experience, I like it a lot. Well done!
Pretty cool, elegant concept and very satisfying. Also, I now know that I need to work on my aim. ;)
My god, my heart! Didn't expect a jumpscare here. Creepy and well done!
This is a potentially fun game, but I had a hard time picking up the packages, and the time limit was quite unforgiving. I think if you'd had a certain radius around the packages where you just need to fly through to pick them up it would help, or a longer time limit. Nevertheless I managed to deliver some packages and in the end still had some fun. Well done!
Very intense with the bombs (?) falling and the occasional black hole sucking you in. I feel that with a less grid like city layout it would have been a bit more fun and interesting to find your way to the next location and I missed some engine sounds. But the controls were buttersmooth and I managed to deliver a few pizzas, well done!
