I really like this one, though there were times where I just got like 8 flails and big magnets and sat there for the whole level. I noticed in the screenshots some other enemy types, are they random or do you need to play longer to discover them?

Audio and graphics are pretty. If you get the big flail upgrade, you can just stand on your flail and never get hit.
Rock-solid entry. Legitimately fun to play, loved the upgrade system.
Been playing for a bit - this may not be a fair fight anymore :) Bloodflail 2023-01-08 17-12-48 - frame at 0m3s.jpg

Never felt mighty before this game.
This is actually amazing. Would love to see a full game made of it, possibly with new modes, and maybe even competitive multiplayer.
Can't wait to see what this turns into!
I think you've really hit something special with this!

Good entry, ui needs improving (or doesn't need mouse input)
Played this for longer than I thought I would, it is super satisfying. I love how you kept the upgrades seemingly uncapped so at some point the game basically played itself, which again was very satisfying. Music, sounds and graphics are great as well! Well done!

Satisfying and fun game great job! needs balancing though
Very engaging! The sounds and visuals are perfect, and make this game incredibly satisfying to play. The only issue is that it's too easy once you've got a bunch of flails, but that didn't stop me from playing for quite a while. The flails just feel so POWERFUL and decimating enemies with them is way too fun!
Very fun game! Keeps things simple and uses what's there to great effect! I love the levelling up mechanic and the feedback on hitting stuff is great!
My main issue is it's too easy to scale to being too powerful too quickly and I quickly realised the best strategy is to just sit still in a ring flails. If it's slightly bigger than the player then you can sit inside just one of them too and win. I think maybe requiring the flail to be swinging to cause damage and having some enemies with more HP would solve this.
Loved it though and the music reminded me of marble blast and a few twin stick shooter games!
Really fun and juicy arcade game! The balance is very off as other commenters have said. You quickly become invincible. Balance is incredibly hard to get right in such a tight timeframe though, I get it wrong all the time, lol. It wouldn't take much tweaking to make this a total banger. Music is awesome and visuals are simple but satisfying.
Really satisfying gameplay! Clean visuals, great hit feedback, and addictive upgrades. One of the best games I've played in the jam so far. Great work!

I really liked the mechanics of throwing the frail and it returning. The upgrades were nice. Of course I got to a point where they were a shield and nothing could hurt me. Probably need a limit to the numbers of frails. This might be fun as a platformer.

I liked the game, as they have commented, I would limit the upgrades or make them interchangeable to avoid abuse of the size of the flails, because when it is very large, the mechanic of revolving it is no longer used. overall i loved the game!

Very nice core loop of dashing & smashing! I liked the upgrades, tho 'going back to one' always seems bad. Would have loved a bit of diversity in opponents / boss to finish of the nice power arc.
Regardless, well done!
Good stuff. Very nice gameplay. Only issue is that sometimes the flails with big magnetic fields draw stuff in that kills you (at round start especially). Luckily though you don't have to restart on death :ok_hand:
