A simple, clear, fun game. The retro-style graphics is quite beautiful. Though I do wish there is a goal, because my hand hurts

A simple, clear, fun game. The retro-style graphics is quite beautiful. Though I do wish there is a goal, because my hand hurts
looks fun😁gonna give it a go after my probably very long nap...havent sleep for 25h
The gravity effect is super cool, and I love this peaceful music. Making me feel floating in the void. But there is some problem with the mouse control - I have to move the mouse far left to the game area in order to rotate the arrow correctly...
Beautiful world and sky islands. The atmosphere is so peaceful and fantastic. I love how you tuned the visual effects especially HDR (if I guess it right), which makes the graphics decent and in super quality. The feather particles on the wing is nice and admirable, which makes this game feels even better!
I have a little problem of the control though. I think you sure put pitch & rolling together instead of advance (throttle) & rolling. i.e., control the rolling with left/right arrows or pitch with W/S. I think this is a more comfortable way for flight simulation players.
Anyway, you've built up a beautiful small world. I'd really love to see this game being complete, and I expect how you make a beautiful, fantastic story
This short game surprised me all the way along! Telling a story with texts on walls are brilliant, making this game felt like an interactive movie. Don't even mention the perfectly tuned physics system, detailed sound effects (varies even when hitting the seesaw), and the cute modeling and animation.
This game gives me a complete experience and warms my heart. Awesome!
Pretty solid game. The level design is clear and a little big challenging. Clues and items are not revealed directly in tutorial, but suggested by different types of terrains, which is discovered by player during gaming process.
The art work may be simple, but behind the appearance the game is quite well-formed.
Best puzzle game ever and we have a winner! Hard to believe you can finish such a complete game, with so many incredible puzzle designs, in mere 48 hours. I do love the theme of GFW breaking, and how you implemented multiple 'small world' in separate windows. I feel there is even some kind of philosophy inside: a computer window represents a small world through world-wide web. Is our universe also a 'window' watching by some one of a super high level life form? Wow..let me stop right here. 细思恐极。
I think you just did everything right for a Compo game. 10/10
I love the light effects in the scene, making this world inside a black hole fantastic. Love the idea of the combination with exploring, gathering, crafting and tower-defense. Very extensive.
However I do have some issues: - It would be much better if I can control the character moving left or right. I played for about 20 minutes but still struggled with the movement sometimes - Can the turrents really hit anybody? I built a lot but still had to kill enemies by glowsticks..
Anyway, this game is well done in just 48 hours! I've read your blog during the compo and was looking forward to it since then
Amazing job on visual effects and character controlling! This modeling, animation and particle look decent. I love how you control the camera, making the game looks kinda cinematic. I wish there were more gameplay contents, and some feedback would be great as well, health bars for example. I didn't know what happens until my space aircraft exploded...
And your entry description makes me LOLed
I do love your work on the variety materials and different rotations on planets. The idea of applying the big fish vs. small fish mechanism on planets is fun, and somehow quite amusing.
There are some aspects I think can be improved: - The collision bouncing is cool, but when I got a huge planet I just expect not to bounce back when hitting the tiny ones, which would make myself feeling more massive - The camera control is kinda difficult to mind the surroundings. Maybe it can respond sooner? - When my planet became super huge, the dark star is no longer easy to find...An arrow or just zoom out the camera a little bit would be helpful. But I just poked around and finished the game
Hey mom I'm on TV! Ermmm.... No. But I'm on leaderboard! Quick advice for anyone who haven't played yet: DON'T PLAY IT WHEN YOU ARE HUNGRY :joy:
Cute and fine-made game. The modeling is great (though I'm quite confused about the green balls on bread...). The sushi spider bot is super cut. I really like the idea of changing levels by sweeping food of the cutboard and falling another round of food on player, which makes this game even more challenging. Great design!
It'll be great if the player is something related to food rather than a toy soldier. And I do hope I can shoot some food like beans, cheese pieces, etc. I guess that'll make the game even more intriguing.
I was not quite comfortable with the collider on the spider bots. It's too small to hit. After I got used to it, however, I think this design is ok, or the game would be much more easy to get bored.
Well done!
Very funny background setting and dialog and mission briefing. I got the score of 280. Yay! :joy:
A very relaxing and fun game! Music is beautiful with interesting transition. Graphic is nice and clean. And I love the character control particularly, which feels smooth and comfortable. You must have tons of experiences in making a platformer game.
And the gameplay design is rather innovative. Players can actually build and explore their small world, which fits this LD's theme. Incredible work for 48 hours.
This game is quite innovative. By floating in the void and watching the world and life form, it makes me peace and calm. I was intended to build a super large world, however, the ending is quite unexpecting...Sending my world to destruction just made me sad.
Perface game and perfect intepretion of the theme. Well done!
The music is awesome!!!!! I love the guitar playing so much that I can just listen to the music for hours ;D The game is cool, though I don't know why my people never go to sleep...
Thanks for the comment, @king-kujito! Ms. Doggie will be so pleased hearing your admiration :joy:
@philomory I guess it's because the WebGL version's view is too small and the way of camera control is not quite suitable for this kind of gameplay...I'm planning to optimize the experience later! anyway, please do try the download version :)
@kipelovets :joy: and it's the best proof that I AM a stupid human
@jackyjjc @philomory Thanks guys for finishing my game and the advices. I'm greatly encouraged! I really had no time for optimizing the indicators while I did realized that the hints for hideouts are not obvious enough. But what I never thought of is that players expect the light on ground as entrances ;) And sorry for the bugs, too.
I'm now fine-tuning my game, including solving bugs, remaking the navmesh navigation, re-design levels and gameplay mechanisms. Hope I can launch my game someday!
@fangzhangmnm Thanks dude, very wise and helpful advices  Yes I do realize that the cat may be too detailed formed, which makes it not quite good-looking. Actually, I'm planning to redo all the models in low-poly style. Hope I works.
My schedule was not well planned, which made me struggle with sorts of shit works rather than gameplay. I guess I'll do better next time :)
And yes, I do jump onto my bed sometimes just for catching my cat in real life:rofl:
@marc-grabow Sorry for the lack of hint in the scene. The cat's 'treasure' is under the white table to the left of the bed. And to @fernandoadolfo, you have to move your mouse over the hideout (which is beside the lights on the ground, i.e. the hollow under the bed/sofa, the surface on the box, etc.), and click on the half-transparent effect. I intended to make them more obvious but was running out of time. :worried:
@pixzleone @lugdumdare-team Yes it definitely feels bad without any sound except the 'meow' by myself. :disappointed: I poorly planned my time and didn't realize I didn't have enought music and sound effects until it was near the deadline. Sure I'll make sure having them next time!
And finally to @t-mw, you got it absolutely right! I'm a big fan of the *Commandos* series, as well as *Desperados* series and *Shadow Tactics* which was released last year. With a similar gameplay mechanism, I tried to differentiate my game with different concept of level designs and character abilities, just as you pointed out. Though I'm not sure if I'm gonna make any teammate, since stories happen in such small scenes. With your encourangement as well as others, I'm actually planning to make this game complete in the next few months. Maybe publish it on Steam. Who knows?
Oh. And I did mean to make the 'stupid human' in voxels as well. Only I didn't have enough time. Sorry :disappointed:
Thanks all for your feedbacks! You guys just give me confidence for making this a full game in next few months
@xavier-indie-gamedev the sight detection is always the most difficult part in my project. I tried a few methods and this is the best I can get in 48 hours :disappointed: The first thing I'm gonna do next is to fine-tune the FOV cone and sight mechanism. Already have a few thoughts in my mind. Hopefully I can get it right  And the pathfinding problem, about the only available way onto the closet is from the dresser, is actually a intentional design. My cat can't jump that high...But I guess there need to be some kind of hints since it makes you confused.
@koreus7 PURRING! DEFINITELY! A that warms my heart...
@devastus LOL that's what I was kinda expecting, the unfair advantage. Haha. I mean, who can say no to these soft, warm, little angels? Sorry I didn't make the game clear enough.. I planned to make a tutorial instead of a simple, cheap-looking, horrible instruction page. But you know..time ran out :disappointed:
@junjunlowpoly I love your avatar in Weibo. Please do upload it
@loktor I noticed the problem of the difficulty in clicking hideout...Actually I'm not sure whether to change the way of camera movement, or just make the hideout bigger for easy click. What do u think? Alternatively, I can make an icon or something right beside/above a hideout, making the hideouts obvious and easy-to-interact, but I think that'll make the screen a mess...Hard decisions
@askania-m Hi, Thanks for playing! There are actually 7 treasures to collect, I should've provided a progress bar or something...
@zwrawr Thanks for the advice! As you said the controls is a major problem of the game experience. I inherited the 'click to move' way from Commandos series, though it doesn't seem to fit the way of camera control well. The WASD maybe an acceptable alternative. I'll dig in a little bit and find out how it works
Love the graphics and concept! This small world looks really nice and bright, making me a good mood ;) Though I didn't quite get it of how to play. Tried running on the street for a while, hit by the trucks several times. Looks like everyone one the street not fund of me :(
A well-made anti-hero strategy game. The idea is super cool, that the choices of how the game proceeds are given to players instead of the game designer. A particularly interesting thing is the hero's thoughts, making you feel in control of his fate, which is a much better way of giving out numbers only. I do hope there were more choices and events, and absolutely surprises. But considering this is a Compo job, well done!
A very funny and intriguing game. The cutscene's story made me laugh  It amazing that you even wrote a background for every enemy appearing in the level. And very very very challenging as well. I gave like 8 attemps but never met the goal...
I do hope it can be more obvious for enemy's line of sight, since i'm not sure where are the safe zones. And the golf buggy...Arghhh I hate those women :joy:
Anyway, great work guys!
A super cool arcade game! Actually, this is the most smooth and well-formed game I played so far. I love the graphics, the music, and the tempo. And, who doesn't love carrots?
For improvement, I guess it would be more fun to make the rabbit jump, with additional elements in the air or something. The gameplay in this version is still not complex enough.
But hey, you guys just did a great job! Congrats!
I can't see a Jam winner but you guys ;)
LOL I see you set your avatar as the muncher. Good job! I love the idea of cookie (my wife doesn't allow me to eat much because of my blood sugar issue...) And yes I do think this game is not challenging enough, but quite suitable for relaxing and poking around in leisure time. If you could add more elements, such as variety kinds of ingredients, this game can be really cool!
I love your idea of the prison simulator. This game is kinda funny and ridiculous, in a good way, just as the Goat Simulator. I have to do same things repeatedly, waiting time goes by. Though it might not be a good feeling, but I think this is what the game is about after all. :)
Also I really admire the design of no HUD at all. Players have to find out the character's status by text description and know the time by clocks on the wall. That's quite immersive and real. Please do keep this design in your future works!
And, I like the bald looking the character. Feels like I'm playing Hitman 47
super super cool game!!!! I REALLY love the idea. Maybe our universe is manipulated by someone as well! The game is so complete that I can totally imaging what it looks like after being on market!
One quick question: what does the number in the blue bubble mean? Is it some kind of score? or does it actually mean something? Couldn't figure it out.
And no, I shouldn't have built so many houses. Now my mouse will serve me 3 years less
LOL!!! I was laughing like an idiot playing this game :joy: I do love the music and sound effects, and the intro particularly! Tried a few times before I figured out the right timing of slashing the doctor's hands. It would be better if you can make this game longer tho
膜拜大谷
This is the best game I played in this LD. The graphics and audio are so fantastic and every detail is perfectly dealt with. The depth of field effect on the camera makes the scene even more beautiful and immersive.
It is admirable how you designed the levels and different types of fungus in 72 hours, which makes this game pretty solid. I really wanna see this game on market and I'll definitely buy!
Congrats for this complete and funny game! The scene of ordinary Chinese college dorm (full of trash) makes me remember the nice old days. On the part of the bugs and worms... well, I'd rather not talking about them  The music makes this game even more horrifying, which is a good thing. Well done!
It feels good to explore such a small world. I like the how the world is rendered, the sunset and the steaming lake. Good job for creating this beautiful scene and and FPS gameplay in 72 hours! I killed the drones until there were 3 left, who I couldn't found anymore.. A little bit feedback on hitting target and ground would make this game much better. Well done anyway!
This game is super difficult but fun. I think it's perfect for training music major students. For me, I'm still struggling XD
5 star for graphics and audio!
I love the exprience of suddenly switch between 2 worlds. The idea is super cool and well implemented. And I realized that I'm not a good player for aircraft shooting game. :sigh:
Twitch Streamer: $1800/year, paid by month. LOL:rofl: Very very fun!
玩法创意挺有意思的,我也是在这边看了说明才明白要吃硬币-_-。音乐好听!另外板子的移动太魔性了,手残的我感受到了来自世界的恶意233
Funny graphics. A bit too shiny. The game is quite challenging. Would be better if the keyboard location and screen coordinates are somehow correspondingly mapped, which makes it easier to response.
**For anyone who can't run this game on mac, you'll have to put the app in applications folder or on desktop.**
立意很棒,但是确实没太玩懂。。不知道应该怎么控制舆论。我果然不适合当公务员233
看描述,灵感是红黄蓝?
@oliverlevay I'm soooooo sorry about that. Mac version will be available tomorrow, because I left my macbook at company (yes I took a day off for LD40 ) I'll let you know as soon as mac version is uploaded.
@oliverlevay Hi, the mac build is available now! But I guess you've played somehow already ;)
@call-me-nutty thank you for your detailed feedback! Glad you love the mechanics and not being freak out by the mess of alcohol bombing . I don't like the sound either as I'm a real beginner in sound designing...I'll try to make it better next time =)
@strelly I have to keep it short because I'm a poor level designer, so that players won't be too mad at me LOL
@goldranger a brilliant idea for the girl-only ending! I really didn't thought about that, thanks! I actually did have a design for the screen effect in different situation, like swirling and twisted for nausea. But I got no time to do, sadly. :disappointed:
@gao-ming 庆幸+1
Big thanks for @jeffchen @guoboism @bocodillo! Really appreciate your feedbacks! =)
@zantze You become a drinking master when you feel no pressure among them ;) Thanks for playing!
@antti-tiihonen You are absolutely right about the tutorial thing. I really need to think about the skill barrier of players in future works. Thanks a lot!
The game is even more tasty when you're having McDonalds
The graphics, music and entire atmosphere is very nice. Map generation process is interesting and kinda make me anticipate anything that would happen next - I love the emotion in this game.
BTW. Seems windows build still has problem: clicking play in the menu doesn't always work.
The idea is innovative and cool. I love how I need to save the situation desperately when the tank is going to fall over. Honestly the physics could be tuned better as the tank seems too light which makes it very easy to be inbalance. Good job!
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha !!! I can't stop laughing!!!!!!!! How did this idea come to your mind ????? Genius!!
After the number of rabbits exploded for like 3 times, I totally understand why you hate rabbits so much LOL. Gameplay is fun and cheerful, tho the mouse moves soooooo slow on virtual machine.
动物保护组织在路上233333
The pixel art is solid and the idea is quite innovative. Love the tension and desperation when all chefs are holding up their boards - it's the same feeling when all stakeholders are telling me how to make a product at my daily work XD
This game is almost complete. The critics part in the end is so immersive that make me want to play it again.
Art is beautiful and solid. By combining the waves and building a town, this game makes me feel that I've achieved something. For me it's a bit too hard to aim in distance.
Coffins +1
Hahahahaha I love the voice performance and nipples and belly button! Very cool and funny! I'll never show this game to my wife, though
The idea of combining snake and shooter games is brilliant! Totally impressed by the destructible scene and graphics. Controls are nice and smooth. Would be better if there's sound for the atmosphere =)
Very strategic and well designed puzzle game! Love the graphics and music. Puzzles are tricky but quite fun ;)
The game is super fun, specially when the alarm was risen and everything went crazy. Perfect emotional trigger! Love the low-poly style, the color tuning and the scene set, which makes the game tasty without overwhelmed.
And the 'AE' crates. Niiiiiiiiiiice!
This game is sooo funny. I enjoyed it when I made my burger, but serving it was a total nightmare...All I did was kicking it all the way to the table. LOL
This game is sooooooooooooooooo cute and I can't stop smiling while playing! I love the graphics and music and the entire atmoshpere very very much
Super fan to the lowpoly art! I found only one bottle...
Finished it! Super fan to the art. I didn't realized that it's essential to interrupt enemy's healing action until the last 2 stages  The combat is fun and with tension indeed, and I believe you put a lot of efforts in tweaking all the numbers. Good job and congrats!
@goldranger Super thanks for you honest feedback! I had ambitions in this Ludum Dare. I have to admit, however, that the final work turns out to be :poop:... I didn't manage my time very well and learned the whole Godot engine in 72 hours, which is definitely not a wise decision. Hope everything goes well next time :smile_cat:
I've noticed the HTML version's issue as well. Probably caused by Godot's particle system. I'll do some research and try to have it fixed. Thanks!
@maskinmask 2333我觉得我现在越来越扭曲,已经没有正常的设计思路了😂😂
I passed all the stages. Yay! This is actually a very fun game. I admire how you intepreted the theme and come with such a brilliant idea. Love pulling limbs and seeing how blood sprays!
Cool and challenging! Maybe I missed something but couldn't get beyond the yellow door :joy:
Great work! I love how immersive the game gets. It catches me since the very start by the details of the scene, the narrative, the first-person view, etc. I have to say it's professional! I would really love this game to be finished.
The teleport effect makes me a little bit dizzy in the first place, but now it's addictive.
I'm a big fan of sneaking games and I love this one! The sneaking system and the atmosphere are both very well executed. The pixel art textures are attractive, not even mention how it helps players to focus on the gameplay it self. It's a little pity that the game has opt out of the Theme category, which I believe the mechanic can be more innovative if the `every 10 seconds` theme is taken into account. Well done!
Very well executed! I really appreciated there are so many upgrades. The randomness of the shop makes the game have even more fun. The pixel art is appealing, too. I made it to day 23 and really hope there were more HP restoring upgrades that I could purchase. Thanks for the great work!
Love the art and the music. The theme is super cool, too. It's somehow ironic that everyone can be shut by paying the right price  I wish the interaction can be simplified by showing the button on mouse hover so that I don't have to click the right mouse button, tho. Great job as I know you guys started late in this Jam. The outcome is quite impressive!
What a peaceful game! I love the atomsphere, humming, and the arts. The way of combining 3D and pixel style arts is genius! I would love see this one becoming a complete game, where I could build my own villa and garden with a larger area to explore. Thank you for this beautiful piece of work!
The game is cool! The theme is well followed as everything is about the time. That's definitely the essence. Is the map randomed? That's awesome. I find it's a little bit hard to control because of the fast movement speed, but it's still fun. I love the tension of running time that the game brings to me.
Great game! It's a very smart idea carrying the teleporter around and use it as the key item for resolving puzzles. A great catch on the themes of both this jam and your game! I also appreciate that you provide the settings of mouse sensitivity, which is the first game doing so among all the games I've been played.
I can definitely feel the pain of having to rush around while all the director are just standing there looking. LOL. I wish there's music or sound effects so that I can feel better when I made a best quality box. Didn't quite get the purpose of the timer, but the concept is interesting!
@luka-roli Thank you so much for the bug-catching! I must have set the values not correctly enough, for the cat's unhappiness should cause more damage on the sanity if he's angry. As for the feeding issue, the cat will only eat or go to the toilet only if the bars are empty to make the AI simpler :face_palm_tone1: I'm not sure if that's your case, but I should definitely improve the AI part in my future work.
@matoux42 Haha your wife must loves you very much!
@atwooooooood Thanks for the great feedback! I couldn't agree more about the unclearness of the timer. I should've make it more corresponded to the cat, perhaps putting it around the cat, for instance. Hey, I just learned another lesson!
@projectcolorball 哈哈是的,上学歌 :joy: @quan-ran 好好学习天天向上!
@kory Thank you! I recorded the sounds on my cat Twiz :joy: Now after hearing these sounds for a couple of days repeatedly, I have successfully driven myself even more insane...
@quinn-patrick Thank you for the feedbacks! I was reported that the game can be even easier if you just leave the cat alone :joy: There is definitely a missing design in the game. Sorry about that! LOL
It's also good to know the smoke would be misunderstood. The opinion is valuable!
@spyranteros Haha take my sympathy! My cat loves to bite me as well, leaving my arm totally scattered :joy:
This is innovative! The concept is well executed with nice tension. It takes me some time to figure out that the blocks cannot rotate. But I beat the game in the end and is not a loser anymore. Haha
Damn this game is GOOD! Super love the sound. I'd love to also see a cut-throat razor version
Thank you for bringing the story of Jeff to me! I love how the story is told as well as the chasm of expectation in this game. Wonderful and beautiful work!
I've had a lot of fun in this game. The mechanics of mining and shooting are combined very well. The 2D light is better than I expected, so is the shooting experience. Great job!
Love the idea of constantly changing the barrel effects every 10 seconds, which makes the game more strategic. Simple mechanics but quite challenging. Tried a several times but couldn't get the score over 2K :joy:
I found it's very difficult to catch the barrels since they were cast out by random direction, while my aircraft was not moving fast enough.
One of my favorite in this jam. The concept is fun and mechanics solid. This game definitely has a lot of potential. Looking forward to a complete release!
A big fan of racing-game here! The graphics is outstanding. I love the atmosphere and your voice. :joy: Tho I found the meteors can hardly hit me.
I see potential in this game. It's fun and challenging. Though, I wish there are more feedbacks on my actions, for I couldnt' ensure if my actions are valid during such a fast pace.
Oh man that's life, isn't it. This game is so realistic. I love realistic games since I can experience another life which I hadn't had a chance in the real world. Running a corner shop, raising a child, putting food on the table... Yeah that's the world of adults. It's so busy that I wish I could have the teleport magic.
Thank you for bring this piece to me! I love both the arts and the sounds. They are so nice.
Lovely game! I found it was difficult to grab one, but later I figured out that I had to click at the position a little bit ahead the moving direction. I'm not sure why it says they start fighting and I should try again, but...
**LET THEM FIGHT!**
LOL, I really wished to see a scene of epic cat & dog fighting :joy:
Great pixel art and music loop. I enjoyed it very much.
It's amazing to see a compo game with such smooth animations! I love the idea of the clock shell very much :joy: The concept is enjoyable while challenging, and is very well executed. Congrats!
BTW it really surprises me in a good way that the foot can smash enemies when I realize it for the first time.
I love to control by pure key stokes. The atmosphere is great. The hand-drawing graphics is interesting and promising, which I believe is worth polished while keeping the style.
I did have trouble travelling around with merely 1, 2, and 3. They do not make perfectly sense. I think I get the idea of the graph-based routing, but it could be more intuitive otherwise players will need to take a pencil and paper to write down the value of every edge.
This is one of the best of this jam! The grpahics effect and the music are splendid. Don't even mention the mechanics! The beat-based gameplay and the consitantly changing beat remineds me "The Crypt of Nacrodancer", but this one is even better! Really looking forward to a complete and published version!
Watched the streaming of PromoTheDog. Aghhhhhh this one is soooo f*cking comfortable.
The voxel art and motion blur looks nice. Congrats on making so many contents! That's unbelieveable. I hope there's more info on the UI, such as profits and losses, so that I don't have to take a pen to remember all the stocks.
This my favorite one so far. I love how the scene is set with so many details that must be learned gradually. Hints and clues emerge a bit on every iteration. I feel very very satisfied every time I found something new. It's kind of the Eureka experience. Great work!
The mouse speed is too fast for me, though. It was not an easy task keep tracking things while the view turning so fast. :joy:
Thank your for your thumbs up  thumbup.png
Oh the game is way too scary to me. The atmosphere is incredible, reminding me of SCP series. I'm not sure if I ran into a bug but the monster never shows up. Great work. I'll pee on my bed tonight. :joy:
A very well-used physics system. The every-10-second events makes the game pretty interesting. I tried first to match blocks, but suddenly realized that the game is about building the pile high :joy: Lots of fun in the music, the sun, and the faces on the blocks!
The game gives me a feeling of "revealing the unknown rules of a world", which makes it challenging but fun! I think this is quite a solid a complete work. Congrats!
BTW the capture didn't quite work for me, but I took the screenshot by myself

This is fantastic. The level design and the mechanic are incredible. I really appreciated that you guys designed different routes for different worlds. You must have put a good amount of efforts in the level design!
I love the sketch-styled cartoon character! The last level is soooo hard but I finally beat it. Yay!
I love the graphics, the music, and the touching texts that you've created. I'm not sure if I got it as you expected, but projecting memorial subjects to the ships floating around on the sea and making them fading in and out, such an image just brought me an outstanding experience. It also made me recall so many things in my life.
I love the last sentence very much:
> Most importantly, keep making new ones.
The design is a pretty clever intepretation of the theme. One of the most innovative one to me. It IS the most annoying puzzle game LOL :joy:
Love the tension and the music. The different penalty in every room is a very interesting idea. It would be better if I can have some feedbacks on hitting the eyeballs. Good job!
P.S. I find I can shoot while reloading. Is that intented?
I've had a very good experience! The level design is challenging but fun. I love how you put strategy elements into this game. Both the music loop and the SFX are nice; they fit the game perfectly. And thank you for the support of game pads!
P.S.: I might have encountered a bug. In the final level, the door not alaways open once I got the purple ball. Sometimes I had to go back to the start of the level to make the first door open.
Love the artwork and the bloom effect. The design of restoring health is nice and makes the game more playable. The design of platform boundary makes the game challenging, otherwise I could've just running around enemies hardly being damage. The concept looks good to me, but it would be better if there are more elements such as items or changing the platform. Anyways, I love this one. Congrats!
Haha this is hilarious. Since English is not my first language, reading the character backgrounds was not quite an easy task to me, but it is still quite a pleasing experience! I think I can definitely take this game to improve my English reading skill. It's now in my bookmarks!
874 seconds LOL. I got so busy in this game that my fingers still hurt :joy: The game is very fun and well made. The music is addctive. AND THERE ARE SO MANY POOPS! Oh my. I love the farm building part most, but I wish I could own the cows for longer time so that I can build a large farm and saw them running around.
Great job!
Finally finished it! The final music is touching and beautiful. I feel very much moved by this game. Finding the right bar height is challenging. But once it's figured out, I had a strong feeling of achievement. Beautiful art work, too! Thank you for bringing this nice piece to me
I would also suggest not to disperse the location of the statues, though. It's kinda frustrated finding the right one.
*Sorry I cheated by looking into the scene file of `new4`. LOL*
Hahahahahaha this game is sooooooooo cute. It makes laughing and very very happy!! Super love the Nintendo collection-like design. Wonderful jobs on the artwork and the audio!
I love how simple and straightforward the game is. A very innovative and mind-blowing idea! The day & night effect graphics is so smooth and beautiful even if it's just white-n-black. How the sprites changes their appearance in different areas is very well done. I have to say this game is challenging but addictive.
Haha the music is funny. They even shoot at my soldiers while they are already in the minefield!
The pigs and the *oink*s are so cute! Music is nice, too! The control is challenging. I wish there were more checkpoints... :sob:
YES! Game Boy Color!
Oh this is creepy while beautiful! You've done a great work expression the fear of darkness and unknown. I love the sonar effect of highlighting the target's edge based on direction. It gives a promising experience. I'm not sure if it's intended, but having a sonar timer would help build my sense of time and expectation.
The mechanics is quite innovative and well executed. It reminds me the Prince of Persia. I love how the level is designed with time-based puzzling. Great job!
Well done on the music and the pixel art. Love the design of the health damaging boxes.
I love watching the little creatures wandering around my screen! A super adorable game!
The mechanic is so innovative and there's so much tension. Love how you've presented the minesweeping in such a mind-blowing way
Haha this is awesome! It's my real life when I was a teenager :joy: Wonderful to be grown up, isn't it? I love how you've made the player (me) feeling nervous. It reminds me that I used to put my toe on the switch so that when I hear the movement outside my room, I can switch off everything in a second.
I'm not sure if it's a bug, but the timer bar is gone time to time.
I love mazes! Very good idea and the levels become increasingly challenging very quickly. I found the control sometimes not working well because my character stuck moving horizontally even there's no obstacles.
**DAMN THE ENDING** :joy:
This game is so well made! The music and the graphics, including the animations, are all perfect. It's amazing you've made the map so complete. The effect of falling leaves is amazing! The level design and the concept are very interesting as well. The usage of corpses are definitely somehing new, which brings a lot of potential in the game play. Congrats!
What an experience. Although I didn't quite get the theme of "every 10 seconds" until reading your comments above, the atmosphere and mood in this game is so strong and catchy. The graphics and audio are outstanding. The story is creepy and vague, which makes definitely wonder what's actually happening.
It's a bit unsatisfied that the game ends so soon. I love the night visual effect more than the day time. It could be more impressive if there are more scenes happening during the night time with more lighting effects.
Overall, I think this is quite an indie work in terms of completeness. Thank you for bringing this experience!
One of my favourite game. The idea is super cool and solid, that I have to consider the layout of city while balancing buildings. I see the potential adding some tower defense element into it. The graphics is nice and clean, and controlling super smooth. I felt sooooo good! Congrats and super well done!
P.S.: Why kill cute kitties?
I really love this game as I'm a fan of both mine sweep and mine digger! The concept is smart and solid executed, with the amazing main menu
美术和音乐都特别棒,狗粮吃的特别爽~~ 我媳妇问:AMNOS?
A pretty fun game. I love the graphics and all the details and effects in game. And wow you even made a complet tutorial! That must be tons of work. I can sense your ambition about this game and hope to see a more complete version. Congrats and well done!
The economy system is rather sophisticated and really need some time to cope with. I still didn't quite figure out how to keep enought feul to travel since it seems always short of hydrogen...I admire all the details and tons of work in keeping everything busy in the game. The population, the resource processing workflow, the sparks when asteroids collide... It's just a big WOW. The music fits the game very well, too. Congrats!
@Chao I appreciate your advice and feedback. 53457 is a rather high score indeed!I can only get myself just over 47000... :face_palm:
I did think about costing resources for placing block, though not quite figured out how to make it simple and fun in a short time. It's my first time trying these genres so I'm lack of experience. Actually I'm think about making it into a complete game, with more features like synergy between 'buildings', a complete resource economy system (including 'construction fee' for sure!), and perhaps even multiplayers support. See if I can make it
@saoi-games Sorry I didn't see your comment until now. Too bad twitch is very very poorly accessible from China, so I couldn't watch your stream anyway..:( Thanks for giving so much insight and advices!
This game is not well balanced as I didn't have much time figuring out all these numbers. But I'm trying to complete the game and make the economy system better! Thanks for support! <3
@Relsqui thanks a ton for the feedback! Actually I thought about the sliding control but didn't really wanna make another 2048...I did hope players focus on building a make-believe city, which requires more effort on layout. Though I guess that part wasn't implemented or described quite well
Thanks @cristiano.m.garcia ! Sorry for the color issue. I should've made the building's profile more distinctable. I'm working on this project with better graphics, more features and a whole new architecture (for less bugs and better extensibility). You can follow me on [twitter](https://twitter.com/wubiFun) if you prefer
I like the concept. It's rather solid and cool, and kinda addictive when I get used to it. For now I can only clear the first 2 stages and get group f--ked by the 3 f--kers in stage 3. :anger: Graphics is cool as always (I really like your rabbit farm, by the way). I think it would be much cooler if: - have sound effects when hitting/defending/getting hit by the enemies, so players can know what happens. Actually I didn't understand or having time to understand my character's HP bar when playing - In my playing I gave up watching at the cool-down & count-down bars at all. It's nearly impossible to focus on more than 2 things at the same time, and they would be what card to play and where the enemies are in this game. All I did was to 'feel & predict' the next cooldown in my mind. "So why not making this game in rhythm and beats?" The thought came into my mind and I realized that it would make this game super cool! The cooldown system naturally fits beats. And for the slow-down penalty system in your game, music can be slowed down or changed to another sorrow one, in terms of making players sad and uncomfortable.
I love how you use colors! Music is nice and the color-switch mechanics is cool. It's easy to learn but have tons of fun. Congrats!
No more words. Perfect!
Hahaha I noticed this game since the jam began, and finally found it (ldjam.com really needs a 'wish list' feature). This little game is very funny and I can actually feel the furious! Admire your innovative mind
I love the enviroment and the portal thing. The control is smoothing and it's definitely a nice try for making a third-person shooting game. Though I didn't quite figure out what to do after going out the cave..The goblins just keep coming and I don't think there are spare time for watering seeds.
The atmosphere is very well rendered. Love the character's animation, smoke effect and the scene set! The music is a bit repetitive but it's ok for the scary and uncomfortable expression. I think it would be much cooler if there are more elements or variants. Currently it seems too soon to get swarmed by 'zombies' (or whatever they are).
Brilliant! I was so naive that even expected the cards would be flipped automatically for me...
Love the tweaking of light settings and materials! It just look wonderful!
This game is awesome and super fun! Love all things about this game, especially the idea of some puzzles can only be solved by adopting certain perspective. Changing perspective makes everything alive
Didn't figure out how to release the water...
Took some time to understand the mechanics but this game is so innovative!
Super brilliant idea! It feels so good to control everything by typing, making me feel like a hacker or something  The mechanics is solid. I do appreciate the pause function, which makes a great balance between typo and realtime tower defense. And I'm now a super fan to the graphics of your work. Keep going!
I'm a super fan of stealth game but never thought to stealth like this. The game is rather fun and well-made, the graphics are admirable especially! I do love how you combine the two geners together without making players confused.
The concept could be fun by combining bullet hell and action game. I love how the missiles track Mr. Yang forever. This game, however, is rather difficult for me (I can't get more than 10 points) and absolutely needs feedback when hitting something or being hit. I guess your intention was to indicate whether Mr. Yang is attacked by the health bar. But it's kinda impossible to even notice the bar, while I was trying to dodge bullets and missiles and to determine if I was close enough to hit a tank.
But hey, it's your first jam game and you proved that you're capable of achieving some real challenges in 72 hours. Good work and keep on for the next LD!
To be honest this game was a little bit boring, UNTIL I GOT THE FLAME THROWER!! I love how the loots popped out from dead vegs, and the way you present things with billboard. It's very innovative and interesting to switch to first person view when entering the shop, and the shop interaction is smooth. I'd like to see your game more polished and hopefully one day it'll be complete
Graphics are nice and I love how the atmosphere rendered. To finish the whole mechanics is difficult in 48 hours, not mention to the complete level designing. I do hope the character can move a little bit faster LOL
Very well finished and fun! Never thought these two genres can be combined so well! Love the graphics and the tense of gaming. Though I really don't have time to keep watching the soccer field...Perhaps it would be better to put the words closer to the soccer player?
I love the music and how the character moves. The light effect makes the scene feels like a serious stage and it's brilliant with classical music. The hit feedback could be more as I was keeping unsure if I hit the balls or they hit me. It's really challenging and I got -329
The art and music are AMAZING! I got a lot pleasure playing this game. Love the idea and how you keep it quick to learn all the mechanics. Would be much better if something happens when pressing wrong buttons, such as the keymapping going wild ;)
