Gameplay is solid and graphics are good. I also really liked the idea of clearing the table and dodging the new food that comes down.

I'm #7 on the leaderboards that's my achievement for the day! The game was fun but I wish the difficulty either started higher or ramped up faster. It kept me from wanting to replay it if I'm being honest. It got fun when it got hectic, and I only died because I didn't know I could get crushed by the food and because I fell off the table then respawned on an enemy, but hey, that's life!

I enjoyed this game though, don't get me wrong! Make a hardmode version and I'll play again!

The fact you got a leaderboard in there is neat, but the base gameplay kinda feels one note (as well as the shooting sound); in addition the first time the hand sweeps past is crazy disorienting and I didn't realize the new wave of food would hurt me until it was too late. Seems obvious now but at the time I was annoyed.

Overall the game is pretty alright; just wish there was more mechanics to mix things up.

Nice small game! I got crushed by food because the shadows are more irritating than helping with dodging the food to be honest :P

Sometimes the food on the table was moving, I'm not sure if it is intended but it seemed like a bug.

Would be fun if there were more options maybe different weapons or enemies you have to kill in a specific way.

Other than that it was fun and I enjoyed it :)

In one instance I fell on top of the bread and was safe from the enemy, but also unable to progress. On another, I was crushed to death by the falling tomato juice. Bug or feature? Game was fun, took me way back to the n-64 days with the army men games.

I loved this!! Game is very beautiful, and it plays very nice. Only problem I had is next level food stomping me from time to time. Oh and by the way I'm #7 currently :)

I topped out at 38900, so I didn't make the leaderboard. I think the game is pretty awesome though. 2 things I think that could bring this up another notch would be, more enemy types (it's a game jam, i know it's hard to fit a lot of stuff in there), and another attack type, like maybe throwing a grenade. At the end I would get swarmed pretty hard and I wished there was something more than just autofire. Even if the grenade didn't do a lot of damage, it could just slow them down for a bit and let me regain some composure. Just some ideas to chew on. Great game overall though, loved it.

It's a cool little game. The textures on instant food are surprisingly well made. The shooting sound is a bit annoying though.

Fun game, though I agree a secondary ability like grenade would have added a lot. The rearranging of the food each round was a nice touch. The soldier sometimes get stuck standing close to other objects, maybe you are using a rigidbody with friction?(if you dont apply a physical material, it will have some friction by default, I've made that mistake before).

The graphics are great, and the music is cool, great job overall.

Hey mom I'm on TV! Ermmm.... No. But I'm on leaderboard! Quick advice for anyone who haven't played yet: DON'T PLAY IT WHEN YOU ARE HUNGRY :joy:

Cute and fine-made game. The modeling is great (though I'm quite confused about the green balls on bread...). The sushi spider bot is super cut. I really like the idea of changing levels by sweeping food of the cutboard and falling another round of food on player, which makes this game even more challenging. Great design!

It'll be great if the player is something related to food rather than a toy soldier. And I do hope I can shoot some food like beans, cheese pieces, etc. I guess that'll make the game even more intriguing.

I was not quite comfortable with the collider on the spider bots. It's too small to hit. After I got used to it, however, I think this design is ok, or the game would be much more easy to get bored.

Good little game. I like the graphics, animations and effects. The idea is unique, I like it. If you would like to improve it, I recommend to change the fire sound and add some new guns and enemies. Btw a great game overall. :)

Brilliant fun, managed to get to #2 on the leaderboard :smile: (amazing how a simple thing like the leaderboard made me want to play more) Sushi on legs pushing packs of wagyu beef around so they can chase me is hilarious. Had a bit of a Micro Machines feel to it. Music was epic, I think more sound effects (and softer ones) would have rounded it off. Nice work!

Very nice game, the graphics are lovely. I think better work on SFX and transition would have let you get a better overal. The difficulty curve is nicely done and challenging. The part where you can get crushed up by stuff is a bit hard to master especially because of the light coming from the side ( would be easier with a different light angle ). The title screen is great.

Great game. I think the line's width from the bullet tracer is a bit large, though. In my first play, the scoreboard layout was showing just html tags like and and in my second, every place kept loading, except the 1st, which said "BLANK". I could see the leaderboard in my third play. Also, before the player hit the ground, you can move. That caused my first death, by falling directly to the void.

The difficulty felt great even though the corners of round stuff that I got stuck on were a little enoying. Overall a super great entry that I played a few times until I FINALLY was in third place.

Overall quite decent. The sweeping mechanism was cool, and it looks very clean. Just a few things:

* Clipping while walking past some of the items made me stop in my tracks, causing me to die * One item got moved in the way so there was no clear way for one of the enemies to get to me, so it didn't move at all. So when I killed all the enemies for that round, nothing happened, and I needed to wander around for a while to figure out where the last enemy was. * I like the idea of moving stuff around to make it more tower-defense-ish, but there was no clear indication of which items were moveable and which were not. I would have liked all items to be pushable to be able to take advantage of the environment more. * The AI wouldn't go around items near the edge, so I was able to cheat a bit and get them to take the long way around the bread.

With those cleaned up, more enemies and weapons, I could see myself playing this for hours :)

The theme/presentation immediately grabs you-really fun main menu and having everything fall into place to begin the game sets the tone well.

|+ The art/presentation was really great, and the way the enemies fall apart with the sushi is a great touch. |+ Dodging the falling ingredients between waves helps add variety to the pace of gameplay. |+ The fresh environment between waves freshens up your tactics as you need to find a new path to navigate/objects to hide behind.

|- Even with the environment changing the weapon firing starts to feel repetitive.

I think with the way the environment 'rebuilds itself' each wave, even one additional enemy type/pattern could have expanded the games engagement a lot. Though it was fun to play through once and feels thoroughly polished it doesn't feel like there's enough interaction to be had especially when just holding down fire. If the bullets did more damage but were slower it could quickly enhance the aspect of navigating each new array of items, and maybe the difficulty of the enemies could increase a bit faster still. Great work though, I still really enjoyed the short time I did spend with it :)!

Awesome game guys! Simple, yet addicting!

A few things I noticed though: - the audio of shooting was a little rough - whenever I died, the little slush bots killed me as soon as I respawned

This is a great adaptation for the theme and it's very funny. The board is changing in every wave and give variety in every wave.

I'm saddened by the fact that my second play through score lower than my first try when I was just shooting mindlessly at whatever moves T_T

The game was very fun and stress-relieving. Remind me of those Army Men games I played with friend in my childhood.

Game's full of physics problem but it's fun. It's really fun. So fun that it seems like the messed-up physics system seems like part of the fun - y'know, figuring out how to break it. I'm assuming that's exactly what you were intending all along.

The AI & path finding was exceptional, and trying to trick that was very fun too.

Overall a cool shmup with great, fun, messed up physics!

The concept is great, and the enemies' movement mechanics complement the game's feel nicely. The assets are excellent, and I enjoyed the overall mood a lot.

Some downsides include how easy it is to abuse the enemies' pathfinding, but the game did eventually become challenging enough. Another problem was that it might be a bit too easy to be crushed by the falling groceries. The music was interesting enough and fit the game very well; the repetitiveness didn't prove to be a problem due to the short playtime.

The shooting was solid, gameplay feels good and the game's dynamic nature provided lots of interesting tactical scenarios to work out. Overall a great jam submission, no less than 4 stars for each category from me!

I had a great time playing this game! I found some bugs, such as sometimes landing on top of the food, but nothing horrific. I'm very impressed by the amount of 3d models you have managed to create. Concerning the models, the detail is amazing.

Otherwise the game was kind of repetitive, maybe some variation in food would do? Even though it felt repetitive I kept on playing just to get on the scoreboard, so that was awesome!

Overall it is an entertaining game, I had a fun experience and I’ll probably play this game a few more times after posting this. The music was epic and everything fit well together, good luck and hope to see you in the next jam! Have a nice day :D

I love how the designs of the levels works, I love the style of it. I think should definitely be expanded into a more full game because the concept is really interesting and original. If I could suggest improvements it would along the lines of making sure the player knows where their bullets are gonna hit. Idk which way is best for implementing that in accordance to the themes of the game though.

Your game looks amazing! The only thing that bugs me is the bread(?) are the green blobs supposed to be mold? Or is it even bread? Kind of stands out against all the other well made models. The game itself is fun and has a nice difficulty curve.

Nice game ! I like very much the graphics and the starting menu. It's addictive and fun.

But you can improve these thinks : * The sounds are not consistent with the realistic universe of the game. * The 8-bit effects of the shots are not consistant with the realistic universe of the game4

Good job! I liked the mould on the breads in the corners. Why was it possible to walk underneath them? The graphics are cool, so is the music and controls.

Graphics are real nice, I didn't care much for the in-game music though, I felt it didn't match the menu music so well (which I liked). Loved the gameplay concept, and avoiding the groceries as they fell was a nice additional difficulty. The leaderboards functionality was cool as well.

It felt a little odd moving the character at times when moving around, but otherwise I really liked it. The art felt good and the whole thing had a satisfying feeling of being very polished. You took the concept in a different direction from most other people which I appreciate. One thing I would like to see is perhaps a less setup with the dropped groceries; Right now the map changes every wave, but it never feels any different. Maybe if you hand design drop patterns or something you can get that mechanic feeling even better. Good entry overall!

I didn't like how easy it was to fall off the edge or get trapped under food. But it does feel like a reasonably complete jam idea, and nice work on the high score server. Good call spending time on that. Thanks for the game!

The falling food was a really nice touch to the genre, and also falling on the midst of the battle when you die. There was one big problem I noticed: it there is no food to fall onto when you respawn, the mobs will wait for you exactly under the spawn point, thus killing you on the spot, without any chance wor you to avoid it.

The graphics are very cool, but the music felt quite behind the rest of the execution. Also, the shooting sounds felt a bit off when compared with the art of the game.

This is a nice entry, though. Good job!

Very fun little experience. I see so much potential: multiplayer, additional enemies and even an entire campaign. Great job on this one.

The game was fun and the gameplay was solid. The problem I had with the game was it was too much of a standard top-down shooter. Yes there were some small innovations like next level falling down and killing you but it still felt like another top-down shooter.

I had fun playing the game nevertheless so thank you for making and sharing this game!

This could have been a pretty boring top-down shooter but I think the addition of having to dodge environment objects at the beginning of each wave was a clever choice. I also really liked seeing a human clear the table at the end of the waves, it felt like it added to the lore of the game which really helps with atmosphere! All in all fun experience but could do with a power-up and maybe even different types of enemies :thumbsup:

Very surprised with the quality of the props and animation in such a short time, good job! (Tho not sure if you've done them during the jam, since you dropped out of the Graphics category, nevertheless looking great) I enjoyed the mechanic of falling food more than the shooting which is very simple (and the chosen sound effect is too loud and quite annoying after a bit of time :p). The falling food tho made me hold my breath for a moment. Smart including that. It was very smooth to play tho, nice entry.

Interesting idea for a traditional twin stick shooter. I played a couple times and wanted to keep going to get higher in the leaderboards; but after a couple plays decided I had an understanding of how I felt about the game. I liked it, I had fun with it, however I found myself getting frustrated with the colliders in the game. I think it would have been nicer if when you bumped an edge that you slid along it as opposed to getting 'caught' by it. There were a few times where the colliders on a couple objects weren't exact and I would get stuck trying to pass between them. It also would have been nice if the falling food squashed the enemies as well, since if they land on an enemy you can actually shoot the object off the table.

Good job, I also enjoyed the diversity of the artwork but I see you opted out so.

The graphics are good except there's a disconnect between the 3D atmosphere being created and the seemingly low res bullet mechanics. That been said it's enjoyable and kudos for keeping track of players scores. The game feels a bit heavy on graphics on an iMac.. A bit jerky

Graphics are great! Love the knock-off food names, Bob and Jimmys made me laugh. I like that you've implemented a score board, and the difficulty scaling seemed fair and did a good job of ramping up the tension.

Only issue I had was collision, mainly noticed by my bullets "hitting" object when they shouldn't. Made things trickier when trying to quickly land shots

Really nice work, the gameplay feels good and the character/enemy animations are smooth and feel polished. Leaderboard is a nice touch. The core gameplay loop is pretty entertaining for a while, though I'll repeat others complaints about the placement of the falling items being terribly hard to predict. I'd like to see something like a transparent red area highlighting what's going to kill you. I got stuck on the edge of the table a few times, a clearer transition for falling off would be welcome.

Not really my kind of game but it was good. Nice graphics, interesting take on the theme. Too bad the title reminded me of a particular animated movie ...Anyway, overall a solid entry.
